Almost two months ago BBC car show Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond suffered a serious injury in a risky car stunt gone wrong. Hammond was airlifted to hospital after a high speed crash in a souped up jet car. Critics claimed that Hammond was not properly trained to drive the car, which was going 288 mph when it crashed, and that only a jet pilot with split second reflexes should have been behind the wheel.

The beloved presenter has fully recovered from what was initially thought to be permanent brain injury, and has even passed extensive testing required to drive again!

ECSTATIC Richard Hammond got back behind the wheel of a car yesterday for the first time since his horror crash and said: “I will remember this day for the rest of my life”.

He took his wife Mindy for a spin in his Morgan sports car after being given the go-ahead by doctors to drive again.

It was less than two months since the Mirror columnist and Top Gear presenter suffered a serious brain injury in the 288mph jet car smash as he filmed a stunt for the show.

After yesterday’s drive Richard said: “Now I feel more like me.

“As I got into the driving seat it felt like I was back where I belonged.

“It was wonderful to be away from everything, being able to tootle around the lanes in the foothills of the Malverns in Gloucestershire on a sunny Sunday afternoon.”

Richard, 36, nicknamed the Hamster by Top Gear sidekicks Jeremy Clarkson and James May, added: “During the last two months there have a number of moments I will never forget and this is one of them.

“I have really missed driving and the freedom that comes with it. I didn’t realise how much until today. Mindy was a bit damp-eyed. She has been my driver for the last few weeks and I have been dependent on her. Now I’m looking forward to taking her out for a drive and a nice lunch this week.”

Richard had to pass two hours of complicated mental reasoning, memory and problem-solving tests before he won back his driving licence.

He said: “It felt like passing my test again. Mindy was delighted.

“Of course, it means I can get back to work but it means so much personally as well.”

Top Gear will start shooting for a delayed new season in January, and it is thought that they will tone down their thrill-seeking antics.

I don’t know if this ruins the movie for me or not, but I was really looking forward to catching even a silght glimpse of Daniel Craig’s goods. Judi Dench says he has a monster c0ck, and that’s a good enough recommendation for the film for me.

Now the news is that Craig’s big member won’t be making an appearance in the film at all, and that he used a pen1s double. What a shame.

JAMES Bond star Daniel Craig was so nervous over his sexy bedroom scenes in new movie Casino Royale that he used STAND-INS.

Daniel, 38, admitted: “I had stunt men all the way.

“Stunt p***s? I’ve got four or five.”

But the blond 007 was determined to do his own stunts outside the bedroom.

He revealed: “I got hurt every day.

“All the stunt guys are as hard as teak — I can’t show any pain in front of them.” The movie premieres next week in London.

Craig suffered several mishaps on set: a prickly heat rash, knocked out teeth, and most recently damage to his nether regions. It’s so big that Craig couldn’t get out of the way in time durnig a whipping scene and took one right to the ‘nads:

In the scene, Bond is stripped and tied to chair before being whipped by baddie Le Chiffre, played by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen.

However a blunder in the measurements of the whip and chair that Craig sat on, meant the end of the whip made contact with his privates when it should have only hit the chair.

He said: “I just jumped like eight feet in the air shouting ‘Stop!’ and left the room rather hastily.”

However, Craig knew that playing Bond would be no picnic physically so after a dose of painkillers he carried on filming.

He joked: “If you don’t get bruised playing Bond you’re not doing it properly.”

Casino Royale opens in the states on November 17th.

Denise Richards got in a heated argument with a photographer at a hotel near where she is shooting her new movie, “Blonde and Blonder,” with Pamela Anderson in Vancouver, British Columbia. She stormed up to his hotel room and ended up having a hissy fit and throwing his laptop off the balcony. People reports that an 80 year-old woman in a wheelchair was passing by on the ground floor at the time and got hit in the arm with the falling computer. She is said to have suffered only minor injuries and to have been treated at the scene.

Lainey’s gossip reports that she spoke to the photographer and that two women were injured, including a 91 year-old, but People says that it was just the one:

The River Rock Casino where Denise and Pam are shooting Blonde and Blonder – huge drama, a small village of witnesses, police are on site RIGHT NOW (6:30pm PST)!!!

A couple of photographers are taking photos from a balcony overlooking the concourse where Denise was getting ready for her scene. She sees them, she storms up the stairs, a heated exchange ensues, she’s overheard cussing at them, an eye and ear witness tells me he heard the word “cocksucker”, they’re cussing back at her… and then!

And then!

She grabs one of their laptops and THROWS IT OVER THE BALCONY!!!

The laptop goes flying and it HITS AN OLDER LADY IN THE ARM!!!

This was observed by everyone on the set not to mention many, many casino patrons…

I was the only one to speak to the photographer involved in the incident tonight. Rik Fedyck is a freelance photographer in Vancouver.

He confirmed to me and to CTV news exclusively that Denise Richards stormed up the stairs at the River Rock Casino and Resort on Wednesday late afternoon and after a heated exchange, grabbed his laptop and threw it off the balcony.

He also told me that two elderly women were struck. According to Rik, one of the women was 91 years old.

Yep. I can see getting annoyed at some photographers, but throwing a laptop off a balcony? That just goes to show what kind of temper she has.

Richie Sambora has recently said that he wants to start a family with Denise Richards and that he wants more children. The two neighbors started a rebound relationship after breaking up with their respective partners this spring. I wonder if this latest incident will make him rethink his plans?

A paparazzo hit Lohan’s vehicle from behind after a high-speed chase yesterday. This is the third car accident for Lindsay involving photographers. She was broadsided by a photographer’s minivan a year and a half ago, and she hit another car while trying to outrun photographers a year ago. Neither incident seems to have been Lohan’s fault.

Sources tell us a photographer chasing the 20-year-old actress rear-ended her black Mercedes near the corner of Olympic and La Cienega in L.A. around 2 a.m. yesterday.

“She was apparently able to drive a short distance from the crash,” says a source. “But she later pulled over and called a friend to pick her up.”

Lohan’s rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, confirmed the accident, but had no information on the “Bobby” star’s condition or whether she had filed a police report.

Earlier in the evening, Lohan was videotaped outside the hot spot Hyde, sitting in her car while talking to a “mystery man,” according to TMZ.com. “La Lohan appeared a little upset and teary-eyed under a hooded shirt” before “speeding off, alone,” the gossip site said.

People fear that Lohan is going to end up like Princess Diana, but there’s little chance of that since Diana was so beloved.

Lohan told Oprah yesterday that she hates her party girl image, and that she doesn’t think it’s a crime to go dancing with her friends. She was also defended by “Bobbie” director Emilio Estevez, who praised her professionalism on set, and said that she’ll never come close to partying as much as his brother.

Is Steve Irwin fair dinkum game now that he’s been dead over a month? Controversial liberal talkshow host Bill Maher and the creators of South Park think so. Maher donned a tasteless Halloween costume featuring a red wig and sleevless khaki shirt with a stingray’s tail sticking out of his chest complete with fake blood. It’s a clever idea for a costume but it seems like a cruel stunt for a famous person to pull so soon after Irwin’s death.

Meanwhile South Park has parodied Irwin’s accidental death by showing the daredevil crocodile hunter as a Halloween party guest with a stingray’s barb sticking out of his chest. Irwin’s widow Terri is said to be devastated by the episode and hopes her young children never see it:

Terri, 42, is said to be worried that Irwin’s children BINDI, eight, and BOB, two, will see the show, which portrays the late star with a stingray sticking out of his chest less than two months after he died. Last night (27OCT06), Australian TV channel SBS said it is planning to air the episode in Australia next year (07) or in 2008. It has already been shown in the US. A friend of Irwin’s widow says, “Terri is devastated Steve is being mocked in such a cruel way. Her worry is that Bindi and Bob will see it and break down. “Steve had as big a sense of humour as anyone, but this goes too far too soon.” British TV naturalist MARK AMEY, 44, who worked alongside Irwin, backed the sentiments, saying, “My message to people is don’t watch the show. It’s distasteful s**t. Let’s hope none of Steve’s fans who keep poisonous animals happen to find the addresses of those behind the show and leave them a nice surprise.”

Irwin is shown in South Park as a guy at Satan’s Halloween party who is mistaken for someone wearing a costume. In this clip, which I’m pretty sure is the one that’s referred to in the story, Irwin is chastized by Satan for daring to mock the accident so soon after it happened. He then says he’s the real Steve Irwin and Satan kicks him out for not having a costume. That’s obnoxious, but that’s how South Park is and they’re basically admitting that it’s tasteless.

Irwin was parodied in South Park while he was alive (link leads to video on YouTube) in an episode that aired in the second season.

Sheryl Crow needs to do us all a favor and tell us the name of the tanning salon that did this to her. It looks like they forced her to wear a baseball cap during the tanning session, and sprayed her with four “4″s in a row. Then they bra-jacked her. What a shame. Please Sheryl, get the word out and tell us the name of this salon. We don’t want this bad tan job to happen to anyone else.

There is still some confusion over who hit whom in the car-motobike crash involving Angelina’s convoy and whether there were one or two motorcyclists involved. Some reports say it was a couple hit by the paparrazi, others say it was just one 19 year-old guy hit by Angelina’s driver. Both claim that no one was seriously hurt.

It is even being called a hit and run because Jolie’s car, which by most reports was the one which ran a red light and caused the crash, supposedly drove off immediately afterwards. If this is true Angelina’s driver could be charged with a crime under Indian law.

There’s even a story that Angelina’s driver was in a second collision with a motorcycle, but this story seems to be based on confusion over the conflicting reports of the single incident.

Indian police have increased security for Jolie as a result of all the craziness surrounding the actress. Let’s hope their guys are kinder and gentler than the mofo she has running her security force now, although basically anyone would be nicer than that guy.

The Angelina convoy ran into a snafu while squiring her heiness from her hotel in Pune, India to the set to film “A Mighty Heart.” According to who you believe, either Angelina’s car or an over-zealous papparazo hit a motorcyle with two people on it.

No one was seriously harmed, and the most likely explanation is that a photographer did it, since there were far more of them, and that’s what an Indian newspaper is reporting.

The Mumbai Mirror says that there was a car chase of sorts, and that a bunch of donkeys blocked the road, at which point an eager photographer raced ahead, colliding with a motorcycle:

The only pictures we have of Angelina are of her inside the car trying to read with sunglasses on, and that hardly seems worth all the trouble. When the paparrazi swarm so thickly around her that there’s a turf war and a car accident, it’s easy to see why she holed up in a luxury fortress in Africa to have her baby.

Meanwhile The Times of India is reporting that Brad and Angelina took a second rickshaw ride on Sunday to try and ease the demand for photographs. They rode around the city for 20 minutes on the photo-op, trying to give the paparrazi plenty of pictures to go home with. They thought it was a successful strategy, and it did reduce the number of people harassing them at the hotel. That seems to have only been a temporary fix considering the latest incident.

Update NBC News tells the story as if Angelina’s driver swerved to avoid the paparrazi and hit the motorcyclist. It is unknown what actually happened, and with so many different accounts it’s hard to tell.

Top Gear is a weekly car show produced by the BBC that features unique stunts, high-end car reviews, and a three witty guys who never fail to make it highly-watchable and side-splittingly funny. It’s my husband’s favorite show, and I’m not into cars but I love it too. It’s hard to do the show justice in a review because it’s just that good.

It’s surprising that the team had Richard do the stunt, because they also have a professional racecar driver who always wears a helmet and it’s an ongoing joke that they don’t reveal his identity. They take a lot of risks on the show, but they seem to be calculated ones.

Lindsay Lohan showed up late to her mom Dina’s birthday dinner and was loudly overheard telling her to “go to hell” before she stormed out of the restaurant. The two were fighting and screaming at each other, and after Lindsay was gone and the cake came out her mother burst into tears:

The NY Post also suggests that Lohan’s mom is a coke addict. They say she went to the bathroom five times and was sniffling a lot. In true style, Lindsay was seen out partying with friends later that night. While she supposedly looked like she had been crying at one point, she still managed to go to a Calvin Klein party and to club Bungalow 8.

The next night Lindsay met with one of her all-too-freuqent mishaps. She “slipped” and fell at a Fashion Week party, fracturing her wrist in two places. She is considering suing Milk Studios, where the accident happened:

It seems like it would be foolish for Lohan to sue the venue for slipping. She’s known for her clumsiness and it might come out that she was drunk and/or on drugs at the event. She needed stitches in her shin back in February after slipping on a flight of stairs and breaking a teacup. She was at British pop singer Ryan Adams’ house at the time and claimed that she was wet and slippery after taking a shower.
