As if we needed another reason to describe Adam Levine as a douche, right? Just in the past week, Details released a Levine interview in which he described yoga as good for one thing …. fuuuu-k-ing, which was pretty much enough to solidify my own opinion of the man. Of course, it doesn’t help that his girlfriend of two years, Anne Vyalitsyna, saw fit to dump Adam after he told the world about his very own fool-proof method of birth control, pulling out. Now Adam has eclipsed his previous level of douche by immediately moving on to a new girl, Behati Prinsloo, who just happens to be one of Anne’s fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels and a (formerly) good friend of hers. This week’s issue of Us Weekly says that Behati has “always had a crush” on Adam, and it sounds like Adam is taking advantage while he still can:

Revenge romance! Two months ago, Adam Levine, 33, was blindsided by Anne Vyalitsyna when she dumped him via a press statement. If this is true (and photos of the two kissing in Hawaii suggest it is), then Behati is obviously no better than Adam for crossing the lines of friendship so soon after a breakup. I bet Adam sweet talked her into bed, and it probably wasn’t hard to accomplish if she’s truly always had a crush on the dude. Still, I wonder if Anne has really gotten “revenge” by sleeping with Alexander Skarsgard? That part of the story might not be true — if Alex was truly sleeping with every girl with whom the tabloids would hope to tie him, then he’d be the biggest manslut in the universe. And I refuse to believe that … just yet.

Kaiser tried to get me to cover this Adam Levine story in Details because she didn’t want to do it. I tried to beg off and pass, but then I saw the best quotes from Adam’s interview on Evil Beet. He’s just an a*hole, and I feel pretty confident calling him that. To recap Adam: he has a reputation as a womanizer, and in one of the last interviews we covered with him he was bragging about having unprotected sex with his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna. She subsequently dumped his cheating ass by issuing a press release and not even bothering to give him a heads up about it first, making me assume he’d done something truly awful to her. (Although I just suspect it was garden variety cheating.)

Well Adam pontificates at length to Details about why he’s so successful with women, and how his attitude (douche) has to do with growing up with jilted women or something. He’s compensating for something, and I don’t feel sorry for any woman who falls for his total b.s. Here’s some of what he said, and thanks to Evil Beet for condensing it down for us:

On being misrepresented: “I’ve always felt a little misrepresented in the world. I felt like people only knew me as a singer who dated pretty girls. A little bit of a bimbo. Maybe I was kind of a bimbo,” he adds, laughing. “I was the music dude that was naked all the time with the girls, and that’s fine, no problem with that. But I wanted to create a little balance. When the show [The Voice] came around, I thought, ‘People now know that I have a brain.’”

On Christina Aguilera: “I always thought Christina was the best pop singer around. She wasn’t just a pop star—she could sing her f-cking ass off. We butted heads a little in the beginning. I had sympathy for her being the only girl, though, so I laid off. Blake has a charming way of bickering with her, but I can’t pull that off. We’re totally cool now.”

On yoga: “You know what yoga’s good for?” Adam Levine asks, pausing in mid-thought as he discusses his healthful lifestyle. He draws to his feet, balances in the private jet’s narrow aisle, points at his crotch, and thrusts his pelvis like a porn star. “I’ll tell you what yoga is good for: Fuuuu-k-ing,” he chimes, in a singsong falsetto, then laughs.

On understanding women: “One of my theories on why I’m so capable of understanding women is that after my parents split, my mom moved in with her brother’s ex-wife—my aunt—who was also newly single,” he says. “So I was living in a house with two jilted women, plus my cousin, who’s more like my sister, and my brother, Michael, who we eventually find out is gay. Just the estrogen alone . . . You know when you’re 14 and terrified to talk to a girl? I didn’t suffer much from that. It seemed very natural to me to talk to girls.”

On loving women: “There’s two kinds of men,” Levine posits. “There are men who are f-cking misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”

On attention: “I love attention. I can’t stand not having it. It just has to be the right kind. To do what you love, to be with the people you love? That’s all I want. That’s the ‘kwan.’”

Whatever, Adam. I just hope that this interview helps warn any model with two brain cells to rub together that she should stay far, far away from this douche. This is some John Mayer pre-voice losing sh*t. This guy is believing his own hype, and he will probably continue to believe it until he also faces some sort of life setback that makes him realize he’s a jerk. Some guys never have that epiphany, and it’s long overdue for Adam.

Also, I agree with the Emily at Evil Beet: that’s nice what he said about Christina. But given how he goes on about what a charmer he is, I don’t buy that he’s sincere at all. Creep.

Yesterday the NBC upfront photo op happened, and I have to say that I’m disappointed in the photos we have. No one from “Community” showed up that I can find, but more than that the red and orange backdrop is throwing me off, and making all the cute, colorful outfits look like they clash. I know this is a strange complaint, but this is why they use white and black neutral-colored backdrops for these events. Red and orange are popular colors this season, and a large number of the starlets accidentally wore outfits that look fug against the backdrop, but would be perfectly cute on their own.

First off is Eva Longoria in a lovely scarlet silk and cotton Alberta Ferretti featuring ribbon-like details. I think this dress is killer. It’s sexy without showing too much, and it highlights Eva’s amazing figure without being too tight. Our friends at Red Carpet Fashion Awards don’t like Eva’s shoes, and point out that she always wears the same Brian Atwood “Maniac” pumps. I think that she went for some understated shoes so as not to vamp up the outfit too much, and that it works. Eva is one of the women whose bright-colored dress is being overshadowed by the background.

Eva is helming a reality show called “Ready For Love,” in which they’re bringing “online dating to television.” It’s like a twist on The Bachelor, but with three guys and a huge amount of available women. The guys look really hot of course.

Next we have Anne Heche in bright a orange Max Mara skirt (In other photos it looks like she was wearing split pants, but it’s a skirt) paired with a peach silk top with cut-out sleeves. She looks amazing to me here, and I even like her platform shoes, which would seem goofy with most other outfits. This is very fashion forward and Anne looks great. She’s starring in a upcoming show called “Save Me“, about a woman who thinks she’s saved by God and has to spread the word. She plays crazy so well.

“Parks and Rec” star Amy Poehler was super cute in a dark pink knee-length tight dress paired with nude pumps and a cropped leather jacket. I just love that jacket with that dress.

You know I love “Parenthood,” and real life couple Lauren Graham and Peter Krause. Lauren’s oversized shirt, big belt and clunky shoes just aren’t working for her. They look like a great couple I have to say.

Debra Messing also opted for a big belt and paired it with a loose polka dot dress. It’s an ok look, but it’s just kind of mediocre to me.

Fellow “Smash” star Katherine McPhee was in a pink flower print Dolce & Gabanna. I’m not a fan of floral dresses, and this is kind of falling flat for me. Some of you may love it.

Mariska Hargitay was so pretty in form fitting white. She could have gone without the matchy shoes, and mixed it up by varying the color of her footwear.

Adam Levine wore glasses, a plaid shirt and some jeans with a chain hanging out of his pocket. Sadly, his co-judge on The Voice, Xtina, didn’t make it. I was hoping she would bring her drunk orange vamp act to the upfronts.

Jenna Elfman tried to wear dressy shorts with a shirt with big goofy buttons and a little black jacket. It looked ridiculous, but at least her shoes were cute.

Yesterday we learned all about Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine’s ongoing feud, which those of you who watch “The Voice” have known about for some time. The show had its finale on Tuesday night, and the drama between two of the judges has overshadowed most of the news about the winner. “The Voice” earns excellent ratings and is going to continue on for a third season, of course. This has at least one of the other two judges, Cee Lo Green, worried about how this is all going to play out when half the panel members can’t get along. I think he’s half-confirming that those stories we heard about shouting and name-calling backstage are true. Aguilera and Levine aren’t just yelling at each other when the cameras are rolling. Here’s more:

“It’s getting a little old and a little inconvenient for everyone,” Green, 37, told Us Weekly of the bitterness between Aguilera, 31, and Levine, 33, which came to a head on Monday’s show when Aguilera slammed Levine’s singer Tony Lucca over a “derogatory” cover of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems.”

Although Green tells Us he was only peripherally aware of the brouhaha that went on behind the scenes regarding Lucca’s song choice, the coach wants the negativity to end — and fast.

“Adam hasn’t come to me and spoken to me [about his issues] and neither has Christina. But whatever it is, I’m hoping that we can get over it,” Green admits. “It’s not something that we should carry over into season three. I want the integrity of the show intact.”

Some of you floated the theory that this whole thing was staged for ratings, but I think that it’s genuine. Aguilera is a narcissistic diva who takes things personally because it’s all about her, and Levine is a jerk who enjoys pushing her buttons.

As for Aguilera’s issue with Levine’s contestant Tony Lucca, who was on The Mickey Mouse Club at the same time she was as a teen, one of their former co-stars told TMZ that XTina and the other young girls on the show were all “in love” with Tony, who was the “alpha male” on the show back then. So that might explain why she gave him such a hard time.

A source tells Hollywood Life that XTina is so difficult on the set, that the crew “hates her.” Hollywood Life has a ton of stories on this, including some exclusive quotes from Lucca that make it seem like he’s their insider source. The crew has supposedly worked out a whole system for dealing with XTina when she gets in a tizzy during rehearsals. This description cracked me the hell up.

“When things get heated — on and off set — the people in makeup have been told to go to Christina and work on her so she doesn’t start complaining or yelling. If she starts carrying on and making a scene [with the other coaches], the people in makeup act like a pit crew and rush to her to keep her quiet.”

This is just what we’ve been hearing from the tabloids, so I don’t doubt it. Their source also claims that they doubt XTina will be around next season. I’m not so sure that’s true, though, when her antics get so much attention. There are plenty more stories on Hollywood Life about XTina, and I won’t bother to recap them all. You can read them here. It’s all about how she’s a nasty piece of work on set. Lucca claims he won’t even get into the same elevator with her she’s so unbearable.

As you probably already know, Christina not only wore a dress on the finale of The Voice that was so precariously low cut it looked like her boobs were about to pop out, she also wore what amounted to studded granny panties. Here are some photos of that, thanks to Hollywood Life.

Christina talks at 3:11 into this video. Adam and Christina start arguing around 4:15. At 4:45 Christina says “I motivated you,” which bolsters this story that “99 Problems” was aimed at her.

None of us are watching “The Voice,” so we all feel a little unqualified to talk too much about whatever is going on with that show. Apparently one of Adam Levine’s contestants, Tony Lucca, sang a rock version of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” on Monday night’s show. After his performance, judge Christina Aguilera chastised him for singing a song that could be considered derogatory toward women, since it contained the word “bitch,” although NBC made sure the word was edited out before it aired. (Sidenote: bitch should not be a dirty word.) XTina said “Your beautiful wife and your daughter and family are here tonight, and I just thought, you know, the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women, but all-in-all, it was good fun.” Then when Adam tried to explain that the song was about dealing with adversity, Christina spoke up that it was about problems with women and they got into an argument about it, with a lot of cross talking. (That happens at 4:15 in the video above.)

Christina has taken issue with Lucca, a fellow Mouseketeer alum, in the past. Apparently she sort-of knows him from when they both were child stars on The Mickey Mouse show, and Lucca has kept in touch with Justin Timberlake. So any beef she has with him may be somewhat personal for her.

According to Radar Online, Levine had Lucca sing that song as a message to Aguilera for giving Lucca a hard time. Aguilera supposedly was “highly offended” and blew up about it during rehearsals. Adam and Christina got in a big fight, with Adam calling Christina the c-word and Christina demanding Adam be fired. Radar’s source said:

“Adam went right up to Christina and said ‘you’re the biggest f***ing c***. Obviously Christina was appalled and hissed that Adam should be fired. She’s sick of being treated this way.

“Christina is so sick of Adam being looked at as the golden boy of the show. If America knew how disgusting he was, they would be appalled, she always says.”

Anyway this feud is heating up between Christina and Adam Levine, which has been brewing for some time. Christina thinks Adam is trying to annoy her, and given her reaction it’s working. Here’s that story, thanks to Radar Online:

“Adam is making it more about getting at Christina this season and he’s very good at getting under her skin,” a source close to the show exclusively tells RadarOnline.com.

“He comes off as a really great guy, but he’s very smart the way he takes jabs at Christina. Adam’s very subtle and doesn’t use words, just sneaky actions. She is sick of the way she’s being treated and she’s disgusted with Adam.”

“Christina really takes it to heart when Adam does these things. She doesn’t know why he does it, she doesn’t understand why he’s being so mean,” the source says.

Adam and Christina collaborated on the pop hit Moves Like Jagger, and while the source says they used to have a “brother sister relationship,” there is no love lost between the two of them anymore.

“It’s just weird the way Adam is treating Christina. She’s the only girl there and she doesn’t think the coaches should be against each other,” the source tells RadarOnline.com.

You can tell just from the clip of the show above that these two don’t get along. If Adam is deliberately provoking Aguilera, it’s obviously working like a charm. She’s getting her hackles up and responding to him, which is only egging him on. He’s doing it because it gets to her. Two divas trying to work together on a TV show are unable to get along. It’s not surprising.

US Weekly reports that Aguilera has apologized to Lucca for calling him out on Monday’s show. Lucca waxed poetic to US about what he learned from Christina’s criticism on the show. He said “Her criticism for the most part has inspired me and led me to a higher plane than I might not have found otherwise.”

When Jennifer Love Hewitt declared on Ellen earlier this month that she was hoping to date the newly-single Adam Levine, a lot of us shook our heads. Conventional wisdom (which isn’t always right, but still) dictates that you play it cool when you want a guy to like you and somehow get his interest without making it clear that you’re dying to date him. I don’t believe that women should never ask men out, I just think that asking a famous guy out on a national television show is kind of recipe for rejection. Well that’s pretty much what happened, unsurprisingly. Levine previously called Love Hewitt’s admission “very flattering and very sweet” with the subtext being that he wouldn’t take her up on it. Well Levine was on Ellen today and when Ellen pressed him on the issue he said “no” without using that word. Slick playas like Adam know just how to slide out of something without hitting you over the head with it. Here’s what happened, thanks to US Weekly:

“I heard about that. That was aggressive,” Levine joked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday. “It was really sweet and flattering. Beautiful life, you know, when a beautiful woman says nice things about you.”

When host Ellen DeGenres, 54, offered to set them up, Levine laughed and said, “I’m cool.” The musician, after all, is still recovering from his recent breakup with Sports Illustrated model Anne Vyalitsyna.

While one source previously told Us Weekly that Levine was “blindsided” and “heartbroken” by his breakup with Vyalitsyna, another explained that he “wasn’t ready” to marry her. Levine further explained his hesitancy to settle down in Paper’s May issue.

“I want to study marriage. I want to learn about it I want to know it,” he said. “I want to figure out whether or not I want to do it. I’m not just going to leap into it, because that’s not good for anybody.”

I like how Levine was like “that was aggressive,” and then recovered nicely by throwing some compliments in there and going with the “flattering” angle again. He knows what he’s doing. In terms of the “study marriage” stuff he said in that other interview, sure. That’s guy code for “no way am I getting tied down.” I bet that even if he finds THE model who doesn’t put up with his crap and drives him crazy, he’ll knock her up before he marries her. He just seems like the type who isn’t about to make it official no matter what.

Love Hewitt hopefully won’t be too heartbroken. She’s probably hooking up with her co-star Colin Egglesfield now, and is over her infatuation with Adam. At least until Colin realizes that she leaked the news of their romance to the press. Or maybe he’s the type to eat up the publicity. He normally doesn’t get much.

Adam Levine dates Victoria’s Secret models, and apparently a lot of other chicks on the side. He’s not about to give up the thrill of chasing fresh young tail to get with a 33 year-old actress who used to date Jamie Kennedy and has admitted multiple times to having three engagement rings picked out at Tiffanys. He might have, if Love Hewitt had played it much much cooler, but she just told Ellen Degeneres that she wanted to date the guy and she gushed about him. It’s not exactly rocket science to imagine that her strategy might backfire and make her seem too easy to get. Well Adam has responded to Love Hewitt’s offer, and he gave her a brushoff couched in appreciation, as if she had just paid him a compliment. You know there’s no way he’s going to get with her now. Here’s what he told Access Hollywood:

Access Hollywood caught up with “The Voice” coach after Tuesday’s show, where he chimed in Jennifer Love Hewitt’s recent suggestion that they would make a good couple.

“It’s very, very flattering,” Adam, who recently split with Anne V, told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman. “It’s very flattering and very sweet and it was lovely to hear.”

Adding with a smile, “But I’m not going to let it get to my head.”

“I’m not going to let it get to my head” is code for “this happens a lot, and I try to ignore the fangirls.” What is with J.Love? I just want to talk some sense into her and send her He’s Just Not That Into You.* She’s very successful with a great social life and she’s gorgeous. (I really do think she’s so pretty when she’s styled well, not here where she has lee press-on lashes.) Plus she’s famous and sexy! Men should be falling over themselves to date her, but instead she’s so boy crazy she’s ruining her chances. You really would think someone would have clued her in by now. Hell she even wrote a book about dating and yet she’s failing the basics. I guess I shouldn’t care too much. She also needs to realize that she’s getting fixated on guys who are total a**holes who treat her like crap. A lot of us have friends like this, and we can’t get through to them, either.

Last week, Anne V made sure that everyone knew she dumped Adam Levine. I thought Anne deserved a pat on the back for that one – she and Adam had dated for two years, and that’s a long time to put up with someone so douchey. That’s a long time to put up with someone whose idea of birth control is “pulling out.” And I kind of loved that she (or her publicist) was so adamant about Anne doing the dumping. It made her seem like a girl with a plan. Now Us Weekly reports that Adam was totally devastated when Anne broke up with him via a press release:

Adam Levine is, well, in misery. After his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model girlfriend of two years, Anne Vyalitsyna, dumped him, she announced it to the world April 2 without giving him a heads-up.

“It was a cheap shot,” a pal tells the new issue of Us Weekly (out now). “Anne didn’t want it to look like he broke up with her.”

The Maroon 5 frontman and Voice mentor, 33 — who was home in L.A. when Vyalitsyna broke up with him from NYC — “was blindsided,” says a Levine pal. “Adam’s heartbroken. He wasn’t even fully sure they were really broken up.”

The insider adds that as recently as late March, “he thought they were together!”

Though Levine didn’t predict a split, friends of the couple saw it coming. “Anne said he didn’t pay her enough attention,” a friend of the model, 26, tells Us.

Another gripe: Levine wasn’t planning to propose anytime soon. “As a woman, you get to a point where you want to get married,” an insider explains. “Adam wasn’t ready to take that step.”

Vyalitsyna, it seems, is now on the hunt for someone who will. Says a source of the model – seen partying at NYC’s Darby on April 1st – “she’s telling people she wants to meet guys!”

Though I hate to admit it, Adam will probably have no trouble drowning his sorrows in an endless amount of model ass. He has a type (models), and for whatever reason, those are the girls who flock to him. Of course, he could go in another direction and end up with Jennifer Love Hewitt, who has publicly discussed her crush on him. But seriously – what dude goes from a Victoria’s Secret model to J. Love? Poor J. Love. As for Anne V and any potential men she could end up with… well, she’s Leonardo DiCaprio’s type. Has Leo ever dated a Russian? Last week, Jennifer Love Hewitt publicly called out now-single The Voice judge Adam Levine for a date. Hewitt was on The Ellen DeGeneres show when she mentioned that Adam is now single and added that “we’d be cute” together. It came across like a desperate move, and it was classic J.Love. This girl cannot talk about anything except her love life. She really should play it much closer to her ample chest if she ever wants to have a successful relationship. J.Love never learns, and she recently compounded her faux pas with a follow up during a radio interview. Hewitt admitted that she never heard from Levine after she said all that about him, and said that she was considering apologizing to him on Twitter. But she was hoping he would have at least thanked her for calling him hot, she reasoned. *Facepalm* (Note that technically the title of this story is not accurate, she said that she was hoping he’d thank her, not that he “should.” I couldn’t fit all that up there so I took liberties.)

But now Love Hewitt is backtracking after her remarks were met by a fury of press articles and silence from Levine.

In a radio interview with Texas DJ Bobby Bones on Friday, she said, “Is there nothing else to talk about?”

And when the radio presenter asked her if anything had happened after she opened up about her celebrity crush, she added, “Absolutely nothing except that everybody is talking about it and Adam Levine will probably never speak to me.

“I feel like I should write him an apology letter on Twitter or something just to say I’m so sorry… I wasn’t thinking that it was gonna turn into this whole thing and I feel bad.”

But the actress admits she is a little upset that Levine hasn’t said anything about her remarks: “I was kind of hoping that he would say thanks for at least thinking that he’s hot. He is hot!”

I don’t really have to go into all the reasons why this was the wrong thing to say, because I covered it all in the last post. Here is my advice to Love Hewitt: get a bunch of women’s dating books from Amazon (I’ve heard that You Lost Him at Hello is good, but there are plenty of others that are just as useful) and read them. Yes some of them seem offensive and like you’re playing games and pretending to be someone you’re not, but she needs to learn these things.

Love Hewitt’s “Client List” premiered on Lifetime last night. As part of her preparations, Hewitt tweeted video of herself and a girlfriend wearing tiaras prior to watching the show. She tweeted “Getting ready! Champagne, cupcakes, and friends…. Let’s do this!!!” Hewitt also shared a photo of her mother’s Easter present to her – a giant pink bunny. As for her single status, Hewitt recently told People Magazine “The men in my life are the crew members [on the show] … and my one male dog, who gets very jealous because I’m gone a lot.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt is promoting her new TV series, “The Client List,” which premieres this Sunday on Lifetime. As part of that she’s doing interviews where she’s talking about – what else – her love life. In a new interview with Ellen, Hewitt points out that “The Voice” judge Adam Levine is single and that she’d like to date him.

JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT makes an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres” on Thursday, April 5th. Ellen talks with Jennifer about being single and what Hollywood star she would like to date.

Ellen: Are you in a relationship, right now?

Jennifer: I am not. I am very single.

When it comes to Adam Levine, all J.Love has to do is Google the guy. He’s a notorious player, he “allegedly” dumped Jessica Simpson by text message, and he just admitted on Howard Stern to regularly having unprotected sex. How is he at all a catch?

I know this is J.Love’s go-to topic, her love life. Why does she have to be so obvious about it, though? She pursued Bachelor Ben Flajnik (after he got rejected by Ashley and before he landed his own segment), she admits having engagement rings picked out and visiting them every month, and she even publicly pressured a boyfriend to propose to her – really she did this.

In a “What’s in My Purse” inset in US Weekly this week, J.Love shows several items that are all about attracting men. Some of her purse contents she’s willing to share:

“I love Booty Parlor’s Kissaholic Aphrodisiac Breath Spray. You never know when a makeout moment is coming!”

“I carry McCormick’s Pure Vanilla – the baking kind – and dab it on my neck. Men are attracted to the scent! One time, I put it on and four different guys were like, ‘You smell amazing!‘”

“My passport is always with me. I love to feel like at any moment, I could hop a plane and go someplace exciting!”

There’s a reason why all the women’s dating advice books say basically the same thing. It’s not about being a doormat, being always available (to travel, etc.) or announcing you like a guy. It’s about being cautious and figuring out if someone is right for you. If they are, they’re not going to bolt because you weren’t clingy enough. Hewitt’s like the poster girl for what not to do when you’re looking for love. Obviously it has little to do with how hot you are, since she’s a knockout.
