To put things mildly, Henry Cavill is about to bust onto the mainstream scene in a huge way, which will meet with a very bittersweet reaction from fans who admired him from afar during his work on “The Tudors” and don’t exactly want to see him ogled by the masses. Still, Cavill deserves success and his humility allows him to simultaneously reveal that he was once called “Fat Cavill” while he presently refuses CGI abs and chooses to do it himself instead. So it comes as no surprise that Henry is very popular with the ladies during the ongoing filming of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Man of Steel reboot in Vancouver. In my mind, Cavill merely endures all of the attention while unwinding from a hard day’s work of flexing his muscles. He’s only trying to enjoy a few gin and tonics instead of looking for some tail, right?

Oddly enough, Star magazine has painted Cavill as a ladies man about town who is now flanked by the likes of overeager Adrian Grenier, whose IMDb profile confirms a very “Entourage”-heavy body of work and whose latest acting work is a film called True Bromance. Really, Henry?

Gorgeous British actor Henry Cavill, 28, is taking his role as Superman very seriously. The dashing Man of Steel star has become quite the superstud in Vancouver, Canada, where the film is being shot. “His spot is Pierre et Chinois,” an insider tells In Touch. “He goes all the time. As soon as he arrives, ladies start swarming around — he is never with fewer than five beautiful women!” His wingman? Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier. “The have become tight and have a lot of fun!” says the insider. “Henry is popular in Vancouver. He’s invited to lots of parties!”

This story seemed slightly off to me because Adrian’s got nothing to do with Man of Steel, and I couldn’t figure out why he would be so connected to Vancouver. However, it seems that he was “blown away“ by the city’s beauty in early December while he was there to promote his latest producing project, Teenage Paparazzo, which probably means that he was only digging the chicks. Perhaps one evening, he ran into Cavill at the aforementioned Pierre et Chinois, and was only too happy to pick up the leftovers. That’s pretty believable.

Fortunately, Cavill fans can be comforted by a recent interview with Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane in Man of Steel and (while promoting her role in The Muppets, declared that ““Henry Cavill is very Kermitty! There is a humility to Henry and that’s one of the reasons his Superman is going to be so compelling.” Thank goodness for Amy Adams, and now we can forget all about Adrian Grenier once again.

Since her split with Penn Badgley a few months ago, Blake Lively has been desperate for a boyfriend upgrade. Many think that Blake tried and failed to get with Ryan Gosling – or that he hit it and quit it. And then Blake made a move for Leonardo DiCaprio, professionally and sexually, to get the part of Daisy in the new remake of The Great Gatsby. All in all, Blake is aiming high – Gosling and DiCaprio are power players (to varying degrees) in Hollywood, and it’s clear in my mind that Blake’s next boyfriend is going to be a Movie Star (rather than a Television Actor). So… shock of shocks, Blake played it cool when television actor Adrian Grenier was all over her at a recent event. Star Magazine claims that Adrian wanted it bad, and that Blake was just not that into it.

Blake Lively is single and ready to mingle – with Adrian Grenier. Blake, who recently called it quits with costar Penn Badgley, seemed flattered by Adrian’s avid attention at October 20’s Vertu party in Manhattan.

“As Blake was chatting with Seal, Adrian came over and the three started talking about the elections. Then Seal left,” says a source. “And that’s when things got interesting.”

Grenier was glued to Blake’s side for most of the night, and he made sure they exchanged phone numbers, says the source. “He kept complimenting her. It’s like he was on a mission.” He’s not the only high profile hunk Blake has connected with lately. On November 3, she and Leo DiCaprio dined – albeit with several others – at NYC’s The Lion to discuss a possible role in the remake of The Great Gatsby.

Personally, I think Blake and Adrian would be compatible, professionally and romantically. Adrian is an upgrade from Penn, although not a huge upgrade. Not a Leo-type upgrade. After all, even though Adrian’s performance on Entourage is well-received, he still hangs out with Paris Hilton. By choice. Blake could definitely do worse, but I think the point is that she wants to do much, much better.

Back when Adrian Grenier first hit the scene (a decade ago?), I thought he was adorable. Not the greatest actor or the smartest young man, but he has a kind of Jude Law-prettiness to him, and I remember thinking that if this kid had smart people around him, he could do well. Years later, he got the gig on Entourage, and has since become a television star and a somewhat known as a man about town (in LA), dating various starlets (Paris Hilton?) and getting involved in cool causes (the environment). Somewhere along the line, I got the feeling the dude was a douche. Not a horrible guy, mind you, but a bit pleased with himself, I bit of a man-slut, and still not all that bright (he thinks mermaids are real).

So Adrian is promoting the new season of Entourage, and he did Us Weekly’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me”. This recurring piece is one of my new favorites – even Elizabeth Taylor did it! So I was glancing through Adrian’s piece, and I have to say… he comes across like a sweetheart. Not all that bright, mind you, but genuinely nice and sweet. Was I wrong about him?

This is such a small non-story, but it still has me chuckling. According to Gatecrasher, Adrian Grenier is an idiot. Adrian is some kind of self-professed animal lover, as well as an environmental and animal-rights activist. His ex-girlfriend Isabel Lucas is a dolphin-rights activist, and it would make sense if she had been the one to get his interest started in animal rights. Adrian is also the host of Planet Green’s Alter-Eco series, which is mostly about environmental concerns, but has some animal rights stuff thrown in. All in all, you’d expect a guy like that to be able to answer simple questions about how his involvement in these causes began. Not so much. Unless this is all a massive joke – in which case… haha, is it funny when people think you’re an idiot?

Adrian Grenier seems a bit confused when it comes to reality. The “Entourage” actor told us that the 1984 Tom Hanks flick “Splash” turned him into an animal lover.

When we gently told him that, much like Santa, mermaids aren’t real, Grenier responded, “Wait. Aren’t mermaids animals? Whatever, they still count.” In your dreams, buddy.

So, just for fun, I googled “Are mermaids real?” Dude. Nearly a million hits. They are image results too – including this image of some kind of petrified merman, I think. I also think mermaids have become some sort of sexual fetish, judging from some of the other images. Not to be crass, but how would that sexual fetish work again? Oh, wait. The legend is that mermaids have all of their parts in tact when they come to land, right? Something like that. As for Adrian… well, I just hope he was joking around or drunk. Fingers crossed.

In a development that everyone saw coming, Isabel Lucas and Adrian Grenier have split up, following her 3am car crash with Shia LaBeouf.

The pair broke up about three weeks ago, right after the accident that left LaBeouf with a crushed hand. “It wasn’t working out,” says a source. “Adrian saw her with Shia and that was kind of it – the crash, their hanging out. He obviously didn’t appreciate it.”

Lucas, 22, was the passenger in LaBeouf’s car. She was treated for minor bumps and bruises at the hospital and released.

Lucas’s rep confirmed to People that the actress “is single.”

Adrian ‘didn’t appreciate’ his girlfriend hanging out with her co-star at 3am. That seems to be underplaying it a little. While she could have a reasonable explanation for the outing (“I needed a ride home and Shia’s known for being a responsible driver!”) it’s possibly the way the situation was handled that led to the break up. No ones likes to be confronted and challenged about their actions, and that could have led to arguments that ended the relationship, rather than any actual relationship between Isabel Lucas and Shia LaBeouf.

Of course, they could be shagging up a one handed storm right now.

Shia’s pinkie, that was supposedly at risk of amputation, is the only finger on his injured hand not bandaged. Clearly, it is still well attached in these pictures. Possibly it was going to be attached to replace another injured digit (yes, this does happen) but he seems to have a full set. This is great news, although I was slightly curious to see how a missing finger would affect his career. I think he could be excluded from roles because of it. Unless the role is as a pianist, I don’t really think it matters if he has only 9 digits.

Isabel Lucas, the girl by Shia LaBeouf’s side during his car crash at 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, seems to have nothing to say to the press. At least according to her boyfriend, Entourage’s Adrian Grenier. Lucas has done her best to stay out of the spotlight the last few days. She escaped with some head injuries, while LaBeouf had extensive hand surgery. When the press finally caught up with her today, Grenier did all the talking for her.

Transformers star Isabel Lucas stayed mum when asked by photographers Tuesday about being a passenger in Shia LaBeouf’s truck when they crashed early Sunday morning, leading to his DUI arrest.

“She’s okay, we’re good,” boyfriend Adrian Grenier said as he and the actress walked together in L.A.

“This is not the time for an interview,” he added.

Lucas, 23, told the photog: “Thanks for supporting us.”

When asked how LaBeouf, 22, is doing following surgery on his hand Sunday, she nodded.

TMZ has the video of the encounter, in which one of the people asking questions tells Grenier to let Lucas speak for herself. To his credit, he doesn’t respond or react to the guy, even though it would probably piss off a lot of people. Though Lucas isn’t talking to the press, her mother is, and she’s defending her daughter and Shia (by extension). LaBeouf was given a DUI citation (although he did not cause the crash).

So says her mother, who tells the Cairns Post in Oz that her daughter “would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving,” said Beatrice Lucas, using the Britism for DUI. Meanwhile, the mom says Isabel is doing well and is “back at work,” unlike Shia, who could be on the bench for as much as a month because of his busted hand.

That’s a nice and supportive thing to say about your daughter, and I’m guessing it’s true that most sober people wouldn’t get into a car with someone who was obviously intoxicated. But there’s certainly a chance that if LaBeouf was drinking, Lucas might have been as well. Who knows, it’s mere speculation. It certainly is a logical thing for a parent to say that their child wouldn’t knowingly put themselves in danger, or let someone endanger others.

I do find the whole hanging out with a hot guy who’s not your boyfriend at three in the morning to be a little suspicious. And can’t help but wonder what Adrian Grenier thinks about it.

Shia LaBeouf’s passenger in his drunken 3am car crash has been revealed – and she’s none other than his Transformers 2 costar, Isabel Lucas, who also happens to be Adrian Grenier’s girlfriend. Fellow actor Grenier is understandably reluctant to comment on the accident, in which his girlfriend escaped with minor head injuries while Shia underwent “extensive hand surgery” at Cedars Sinai due to damage to his left hand. Shia was taking a left at a light when he was broadsided by another vehicle, flipping his Ford F150 truck over. The person in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital but sustained only minor injuries. Police said Shia was “visibly intoxicated” at the scene, and he has been charged with a misdemeanor due to the fact that no one was seriously injured.

Who was Shia LeBeouf’s mystery passenger in his weekend DUI crash? Aussie actress Isabel Lucas, his co-star in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” the sequel to last summer’s blockbuster.

Sources say Lucas was riding shotgun with LaBeouf when he made a left turn on a red light and got broadsided in his Ford F150 around 2:45 Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

The actor suffered hand injuries and was arrested for drunk driving. Lucas was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital for “minor head injuries” and later released. A rep for the film said that Lucas is fine and back on set filming.

But the perky blonde is about to have another headache.

We hear her boyfriend Adrian Grenier, who she began dating in February, is none too happy that his ladyfriend was partying with her handsome costar at 3 a.m.

Grenier was testy when we asked him how Lucas was feeling post-crash, and refused to comment.

The two began dating after bonding over environmental issues. Lucas will star in Grenier’s upcoming series “Alter Eco,” which he produced for the cable channel Planet Green.

There was a lot of dumb luck involved in this accident in that Shia was driving a pretty solid car and people escaped relatively unharmed. If anything should take a hit it’s Shia’s rising career – unless he quickly steps up to the plate and admits that he was wrong and takes full responsibility for his actions. Mischa Barton isn’t my favorite actress, but I like the way she handled her DUI by admitting guilt. It’s an idiotic thing to drive drunk and these stars need to grovel to the public afterwards and seem sincere about it. Don’t be arrogant about driving wasted – that’s how you got in that mess in the first place.

Entourage star Adrian Grenier has been photographed toting various card-sized signs with messages for the paparazzi and the viewing public. They look professionally designed with metallic writing and embossed symbols, and Adrian has either hired someone to create them, is friends with a graphic artist or is pretty skilled at Photoshop.

From what I can tell the first time he was spotted out with one of his paparazzi cards was on 2/20 at a pre-Oscar party for Global Green USA. Grenier is an active environmentalist, drives a Prius and is involved with many charities to raise environmental awareness and conservation. He was seen holding a card on the green carpet that read “Green is Gold.”

About a week later Grenier was seen outside of Villa Nightclub holding a sign that read “Whatchew looking At” that featured the eye from the dollar bill with lightning bolts coming out of it.

He was most recently photographed jogging while holding a sign saying “This is a non-event.”

People Magazine reminds us that Grenier used the excuse last summer that he was working on a documentary on the paparazzi in order to justify his hookup with Paris Hilton. His little signs could be part of the upcoming film, or he could just be messing with the paparazzi. Either way, he has our interest. It’s a very clever way to get attention while using paparazzi photos as protest. If only he would get a haircut and shave and hold up signs dissing other celebrities and making fun of various media moguls.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s celebrity friends and supporters were out at the premiere of his environmental film The 11th Hour in Hollywood yesterday. The documentary urges us to make a difference in the state of our planet now, in the 11th hour, as it’s almost too late. With existing technology and a concerted effort the film asserts that we can ensure that our planet remains sustainable. It’s not about saving the environment so much as ensuring the continued survival of the human race.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, DiCaprio explains that it takes him just 15 minutes to get ready for a premiere. He says the film explores how we can make a difference in our world and that by interviewing experts he thinks that 11th Hour explains it in a way that is unique while focusing on change:

“How long does it take me? Usually 15 minutes, something like that,” Leo says about getting red-carpet ready. “And then it’s about putting the suit on. I don’t have a stylist — usually it’s my assistant who tells me to put this on and I go, ‘Okay.’

But before Leo walks out the door, there’s one crucial tool he can’t forget: “What do I not leave the house without? My cell phone!”

As for the new movie, the award-winning environmentalist star gives ET the lowdown…

“It’s not just global warming, it’s not just a loss of biodiversity, it’s not just the pollution of our oceans and the clearing of our rainforests and all these complicated systems,” Leo tells ET. “[The movie] talks about the world economy, it talks about politics, it talks about personal transformation and environmental consciousness that we need to have in this generation to implement a lot of these changes that need to occur.”

The movie, which features Leo as narrator, explores what it will take for humans to make a difference ecologically before it’s too late. Top scientists like STEPHEN HAWKING and leaders like former Soviet Union President MIKHAIL GORBACHEV are interviewed for the documentary.

“It’s a very, very daunting issue and it was a lot to, as filmmakers, wrap our head around,” says Leo, “but thankfully we got some of the most important people in the forefront of a lot of these issues to really explain it in a way that I don’t think has been done before, and that’s what I’m proud of.”
