Katherine Heigl at the NYE premiere with helmet hair: pretty or too Golden Girls?

Kaiser covered some earlier photos from the New Year’s Eve premiere, that ensemble romcom out this Friday looks like a pale imitation of Love Actually. Also at last night’s premiere we had unlikely romcom queen Katherine Heigl, almost working it in a strapless black lace Dolce & Gabbana LBD. The dress is hot, but she nearly ruins it with her accessories and hair. I know her hair is short and there’s not a lot she can do with it, but that wavy style is just so Rose from Golden Girls. Plus she’s paired that sexy dress with some dippy gold peep toe shoes with glittery bows on them, a gold sequin clutch, and a busy gold and diamond necklace. It’s too much together, but she looks happy here at least. Check her out laying a kiss on her husband.

Michelle Pfeiffer was stunning in lovely purple Dolce & Gabbana paired with towering suede heels and a clutch. I love this dress on her, but it could do without the matchy shoes. Look at her try to stand up straight in those platforms. Can you believe she’s 53? She’s obviously had a lot done, but it’s settled somewhat and she’s looking good. This is how you do hair and makeup.

Abigail Breslin was a ballerina fairy in this goofy poofy v-neck dress with a visible petticoat. She’s 15, she’s still finding her fashion legs. I’ll say something nice: her hair and makeup are so pretty here. I usually don’t like blue eye shadow on blue eyes, but it works on her.

Alyssa Milano wore this unflattering black dress paired with these very fug shoes. She just had a baby in August, so she gets a pass. It took me about a year to figure out how to dress after I had my kid. I like her a lot and am glad that she’s in this film, as crappy as it seems. IMDB has her listed as “Nurse Mindy.” And I just found out that DeNiro is in this mess. He didn’t show for the premiere though.

Alyssa Milano gave birth to a baby boy, named him Milo Thomas

wenn3420305

Alyssa Milano finally gave birth! I had kind of forgotten she was pregnant, but that’s a good thing. Alyssa did several red carpets while she was knocked up, but it wasn’t like she was getting pap’d constantly and I was always aware of how far along she was. So good for Alyssa for keeping it partially low-key. Anyway, Alyssa and her husband David Bugliari welcomed their son Milo Thomas yesterday.

There’s a new boss in Alyssa Milano’s house: her baby boy!

The actress, 38, and husband David Bugliari welcomed a son named Milo Thomas Bugliari on Wednesday at 9:27 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs., and was 19 inches long.

In March, Milano announced on Twitter that she was expecting a boy.

The actress told PEOPLE she was having a lovely pregnancy and knew her husband would be “the most amazing father ever.”

And before she even met her son, he was already making her laugh. Milano told PEOPLE in May, “Every time I get an ultrasound, he’s doing really funny things like sucking his thumb or elbowing me.”

Milano and Hollywood agent Bugliari wed in 2009, and this is the first child for both.

[From People]

Thoughts on the name Milo Thomas? Milo Bugliari? I kind of like it! Yeah, “Milo” is kind of a dog name, but I also read Jonathan Kellerman’s Alex Delaware books, and so my first thought went to the cop character named Milo. Think about it this way – Alyssa and David could have gone with something super-Italian-sounding, like Alessandro Bugliari, or Rodolfo Bugliari. I’m kind of glad she went with the dog name!

PS… do you think David asked for a paternity test? Doubtful!

Alyssa Milano shows off her baby bump at the ‘Hall Pass’ premiere

hall_pass_premiere_06_wenn3223036

Alyssa Milano announced her pregnancy earlier this week. CB and I had an extended conversation about it, oddly enough. We debated whether or not people cared – it’s not like people wish Alyssa harm or anything, but we also wondered if she still really had anything by way of a fan base. Anyway, we ended up not writing about it until now. Alyssa showed off her bump last night at the premiere of Hall Pass, that stupid-and-offensive-looking movie starring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis, amongst others. I think Alyssa is in it too. In any case, Alyssa wore this jacked up grey skirt that might have been cute if wasn’t fitted to go right under her boobs. It’s just… unflattering. I know maternity styles are different, but Alyssa seems like she’s into her second trimester by now, and there’s no reason to look like she just got an oversized skirt from Target and hiked that junk up. That being said, her hair and makeup look good. She’s a very pretty woman.

hall_pass_premiere_19_wenn3223049

The award for most unattractive outfit goes to Christina Applegate. Once again, I know that her style choices are limited, considering she just had a baby. But could she have found a more flattering muumuu?

hall_pass_premiere_14_wenn3223044

Here’s Jason Sudeikis, trying to be the cool guy.

hall_pass_premiere_13_wenn3223043

Owen Wilson, who is actually The Cool Guy.

hall_pass_premiere_20_wenn3223050

And lastly, Jenna Fisher. Sigh… Jenna. Girl. Hire somebody to dress you. This is one of the most flattering things I’ve ever seen her in, but the bar has been set really, really low. It looks like she’s dressed up to go to a high school dance. Some women just do that clothes – this dress could be a solid look on another woman, but on Jenna, it just looks so dated and cheap.

Alyssa Milano transforms into a ‘Jersey Shore’ girl

milano-jersey-2

I’ve been avoiding writing anything about MTV‘s new hit reality show “Jersey Shore” just because I wanted to avoid the controversy surrounding everything about these kids. I’ve watched a few minutes of the show here and there, and maybe I’m an old fart, but I don’t really get it. I mean, it’s sort of like “The Real World” if every cast member was a lower-income drunk 20-something from New Jersey, right? I don’t get the popularity or the controversy for that matter. I guess it’s nice that MTV is trying to provide an image of that generation that isn’t prettified like The Hills, so in that way I’m happy that the “Jersey Shore” kids have become instant cultural phenoms.

Anyway, some of the biggest, harshest critics of “Jersey Shore” are people that have something in common with these kids. And by that I mean Italian-Americans (who are upset with the casual declarations by the kids that they are “guidos”) and people from New Jersey. One of these critics is Alyssa Milano, an Italian-American from Jersey. So Alyssa decided to work with Funny or Die to create a parody of what it takes to look like one of these kids. It’s interesting:

The fake tan looks a little like blackface, yes? But that really is the way some fake tans look, and it looks like Alyssa is specifically trying to look like Snooki, that girl who got her face bashed in by some douche at a bar. I saw an interview with Snooki and The Situation (seriously) on E! and they actually seem like half-decent kids. I mean, they’re not rocket scientists or anything, but they don’t seem like horrible people.

One other thing – have you seen “The Jersey Shore Nickname Generator”? It’s a fun way to spend two seconds – just type in your name and gender, and hit “fist pump” and BAM! You’ve got a Jersey nickname. My nickname for my real name is C-Pow. My nickname for Kaiser is The Good Time. I’m going to ask CB if I can temporarily change my writing name to The Good Time*. Oh, let me put in “Celebitchy”! HAHAHA!!! Holy sh-t, “Celebitchy” becomes “The Paris Hilton of Trenton”. Now I’ll do her real name… oh my God, her real name becomes “The Ashlee Simpson of Cape May”. Best nickname generator ever!

Alyssa Milano weds agent David Bugliari in small New Jersey ceremony

chelsea inter milan 2 220709
Alyssa Milano married CAA agent David Bugliari this weekend in New Jersey. They have dated since 2006, and have been engaged since January of this year. It is the second marriage for Alyssa, who was previously married to Cinjun Tate. She’s also dated Justin Timberlake and a number of athletes.

As for the ceremony, People reports that Alyssa wore Vera Wang, and her bouquet was lilies of the valley, which I think is a great flower if you want something other than roses. The wedding was held at his parents’ New Jersey home, in what sounds like a lovely outdoor ceremony. Guess who was one of the guests? Bradley Cooper! What the…?

With nature and family as themes, actress Alyssa Milano wed Hollywood agent David Bugliari at his family’s estate in New Jersey on Saturday, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

Milano, wearing a custom gown by Vera Wang and holding a bouquet of lily of the valley flowers, walked down an aisle strewn with cream-colored rose petals and natural grass to the tune of John Lennon’s “Imagine.”

The couple exchanged traditional vows under a wrought-iron gazebo decorated with willow, calla lilies and roses. Among the guests was actor Bradley Cooper, a friend of the groom.

“We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple” says Milano, who calls meeting her husband in 2006 “a lovely gift.”

Following the ceremony, wooden signs directed guests to the cocktail area, decorated with rattan furniture and hay bales serving as cocktail tables.

Dinner was served family style on rustic farmhouse tables in a tent with wood flooring and wrought iron chandeliers. Event planner Colin Cowie created just the right atmosphere for the family-oriented couple.

“My Italian family still eats Sunday dinner together every week,” says Milano. “We wanted to capture the same feeling with people passing around beautiful bowls of food and talking and laughing.”

Bugliari, an agent at the Creative Artists Agency, “proposed to Milano, 36, last December with a ring he designed and made by Jim Lavi at Daniel Jewelry in La Jolla, Calif.

[From People]

It sounds like a really comfortable, family-oriented, no-muss wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple. Bugliari sounds like a pretty good catch, and he seems to just adore his new bride. Call me an old softie, but this sounds like a marriage that has a pretty good shot. As for Alyssa’s future as an actress, she’s not just going to be sitting around eating bon-bons, being the wife of a powerful CAA agent. Alyssa’s next role will be on ABC’s Romantically Challenged, which will go on mid-season. She will play the girlfriend of actor Eric Christian Olsen.

Alyssa Milano wrote a book about baseball & sex with baseball players

fp_1915290_rij_mending_hear
Alyssa Milano is some kind of famous baseball fanatic and baseball player groupie. I had no idea, but that’s probably because whenever I hear words like “baseball” or “designated hitter” I tune out and start thinking about butterflies or princesses. Anyway, Alyssa Milano loves the game of baseball (and nailing baseball players) so much she wrote about in a new book called Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.

She says nice things about the game that sort of go over my head – “Give me a hot dog, a pitchers’ duel and a late-inning suicide squeeze (risky tactic to score), and I melt like hot pine tar.” Sure. I’ll take her word for it. She also talks about some of her relationships with the players, and how she feels about all of the steroid talk. PR Inside has more:

Actress Alyssa Milano has detailed her love affairs with top baseball players in a new book about the great American pastime.

The Charmed star has been fanatical about the sport since she was a child, and went on to date some of the game’s most famous players, including former Los Angeles Dodgers star Brad Penny and fellow pitchers Carl Pavano and Barry Zito.

In her new book Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic, she writes: “Other women dream of papaya facials and mango pedicures. Give me a hot dog, a pitchers’ duel and a late-inning suicide squeeze (risky tactic to score), and I melt like hot pine tar.”

And she admits she struggles not to date the stars of the game: “To be completely honest, after Barry and I broke up, I swore off baseball players. (But) Brad had me at, ‘Let’s go down to the clubhouse.’”

And Milano has used the tome to defend her sports idols against allegations of steroid use – the scandal which is currently wresking the sport. She compares the performance-enhancing drug to wrinkle-reducing facial injections actresses get to stay at the top of their game in youth-obsessed Hollywood.

Milano adds, “The big difference between injecting Botox and with taking human growth hormone is that there are no rules against Botox.”

From PR-Inside

Ha! “Brad had me at, ‘Let’s go down to the clubhouse.’” That’s cracking me up. If Alyssa truly loves the game and the players, more power to her. To each her own.

But what’s with all of these baseball fanatics, players, owners, et al and their collective obsession with steroids and hormones? Isn’t this one easy for everybody? Either you inject something into your body in the hopes that it will make you a better player, or you don’t. Either you tell the truth about it, or you don’t. Either a baseball fan notices that his or her favorite player’s neck has grown twice it’s size, or you don’t. Easy.

Alyssa Milano seeks protection against stalker – includes videos

Alyssa Milano fears for her personal safety after an obsessed and mentally unstable fan hiked miles through the woods, climbed a gate to gain access to her property and tried to break into her home. Milano, 35, has filed for a restraining order against the man, a 54 year-old with asperger’s syndrome who was featured in a documentary out earlier this year about stalkers of the 80s singer Tiffany:

Alyssa Milano has filed for a restraining order against alleged stalker Jeff Turner, Access Hollywood has learned.

In court documents received by Access filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, Turner, a 54-year-old resident of Santa Cruz, California, is referred to as “an obsessed and mentally unstable celebrity stalker fan,” who Alyssa “does not personally know nor have any relationship with.”

The papers cite the most recent dates of alleged harassment as November 16 and December 3, and accuse him of breaking into her home and “obsessively” attempting to contact the star.

The order request also asks for protection for her family, who the accused man allegedly “believes he is close personal friends with.”

The order extends to the Los Angeles and Ventura County Sheriff’s Departments.

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for January 21, 2009.

[From Access Hollywood - link has automatic video]

The Examiner found these videos of the stalker, Jeff Turner. The first is from the trailer to a 2008 documentary about singer Tiffany called “I Think We’re Alone Now.” He was featured in the film and is the first stalker shown in this video. It really made me cringe:

Here’s a video of Turner talking about the film at the Cinequest film festival in March, 2008. He says stalking is some kind of government conspiracy. When asked if he is a fan of any other celebrities he specifically mentions Alyssa Milano:

Milano, 35, is best known as a child star on the 80s sitcom “Who’s the Boss.” She also starred on the WB series “Charmed” up until 2006 and has a recurring role on NBC’s “My Name is Earl.” She’d do well to get legal protection against this guy and although this film about Tiffany stalkers may be interesting and well made you have to wonder if the filmmakers are giving these mentally ill people way more attention than they deserve.

Alyssa Milano is shown at the Beverly Hills Chihuahua premiere on 9/18/08. She is shown at “Wizard World” on 3/15/08 below. Credit: PRPhotos

Alyssa Milano says she’s the girl guys never got over

spx-013210.jpg
I really wish Celebitchy were like Myspace, and we could have annoying music blare out at you when you opened an article. Since we don’t work that way, if you all could start humming the first few chirpy bars of the “Who’s the Boss?” theme song right now, that’d be great. Just hum until Tony drives his van up to Angela’s house and hugs her. [“There’s a time for love and a time for living. You take a chance and face the wind…”] Alright, we’re there. Did that bring you back? Good, because Alyssa Milano says all you men have been stuck there for the last twenty years or so. Well probably not stuck on Tony and Angela, though I don’t know how your preferences go, so I won’t judge. Man I can never get that damn song out of my head. ["There were times when I lost a dream or two. Found the trail, and at the end was you…”] No, according to Alyssa Milano, you’re all stuck on her. Well, according to Alyssa’s friend, but Alyssa felt the need to share it with “Us Weekly,” which means she must think it’s true.

Alyssa has declared to “Us Weekly” that she will no longer be dating athletes. She’s had a baseball obsession for years (ahem, wasn’t Tony Danza a former baseball player on “Who’s the Boss?” Creeeeeeepy!) and has dated them almost exclusively. She even has a line of baseball-themed clothes. I actually kind of like that, because when every other useless starlet is putting out ridiculous designer crap with their name on it, Alyssa Milano is putting out athletic clothes. So points for being different and doing your own thing. [“There’s a path you take and a path untaken - The choice is up to you my friend…”] But apparently she’s decided she’s taken the baseball love a bit too far, and is done dating men that tote around bats.

“Alyssa Milano is single, and says she’s done living out the fantasy of being a baseball player’s girlfriend. ‘I’d love to just find a good plumber or doctor,’ the 34-year-old actress tells Details in its November issue. ‘I’ve gotten such s— about my dating choices,’ she says. (Her last three boyfriends – Carl Pavano, Barry Zito, and Brad Penny – have all been Major League pitchers.) ‘Like, every single article … is about how I’m ‘the chick that dates athletes,’ and there’s an insane double standard going on.’

“Milano, a lifelong Dodgers fan who recently scored a post-season reporting gig, laments the fact that New York Yankees star Derek Jeter gets away with dating starlet after starlet on her blog on MLB.com. But given a recent conversation she had, it shouldn’t be too hard for her to score the man – baseball player or not – of her dreams: ‘My friend tells me, “Every time I mention you in front of guys, they all go nuts.” So he asked one of them, “What is it about her? Can you define it?” And the guy said, “She’s the girl we never got over.’”

[From Us Weekly]

Man I wish I had unchecked self-esteem like that. Yes I realize Alyssa wasn’t actually saying it about herself, but to pass it on is still pretty ballsy. So to speak. I just made a sports pun! I didn’t know I could do that. I think that means I’m an athlete now. Anyway, it’s probably a good idea for Alyssa to open up her mind a little. I used to have a rule that I was only attracted to brunettes – I have no idea why – and I probably missed out on some pretty great guys because of that. Now imagine if you whittled down your options to one small subset of men that played a certain sport for a living? That’s got to hurt. I mean it must help that she’s famous and beautiful, but you could still be missing out on the best guy in the world [“Nights are long but you’re on your way - to a brand new life around the bend!”]

Note by Celebitchy: Alyssa Milano is shown at the San Sebastian International Film Festival on 9/24/07. Thanks to PRPhotos.

And here’s the Who’s the Boss intro that JayBird wants to get stuck in our heads.
