Sigh… she’s not going to wear a jewel tone, is she? Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie last night in Berlin at the Cinema for Peace Gala. Her cashmere dress/gown is Ralph & Russo… and I do like it. I would like it more if it was rich, deep sapphire, but this grey-blue isn’t bad. The fit is lovely though – Angelina always looks worlds better when she’s wearing something tailored for her figure. I especially love her makeup and her earrings here – she looks fresh and elegant.

Jolie won an award at the gala – they recognize films that are “directed against human rights abuses, war and genocide.” Which sums up In the Land of Blood and Honey. You can see more pics here, at The Mail. Brad looked super-proud of her. Which brings up an interesting question – will Angelina write and direct again? She was asked that in Berlin, and her response was… interesting.

Angelina Jolie says she’s not yet sure whether she will follow her directorial debut on the Bosnian war with another film on such serious material — but she has already written a script focusing on the conflict in Afghanistan.

Jolie, who presented her movie “In the Land of Blood and Honey” at the Berlin International Film Festival, told reporters Monday that even her husband Brad Pitt is unfamiliar with her Afghanistan idea.

She says: “I did write something on Afghanistan. Nobody’s seen it yet. Brad hasn’t seen it. It’s hidden. So I don’t know how very good it is, but it’s been a pleasure to write.”

Meantime, she says her next project is playing the villain in a Disney film — something she says her kids are much happier about.

A movie about Afghanistan? Hopefully she won’t step on Kathryn Bigelow’s toes – Bigelow has a movie in the pipeline about Osama bin Laden, Pakistan and Afghanistan. I bet Jolie’s story is about the refugee situation there – the refugee camps on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan are still one of the largest refugee crises in the world. While I applaud Jolie’s efforts and her commitments… I want her to do something light. A Disney movie sounds great. She’s going to be playing Maleficent in the (Tim Burton-directed?) retelling of Sleeping Beauty.

But I don’t feel too bad – these pics of Angelina kind of suck. She’s wearing a Miguelina (sack) dress that does nothing for her figure. Meh. The Lady is about Aung San Suu Kyi, by the way.

Here are some new photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arriving in Sarajevo today. They were in Berlin last night for the Cinema for Peace event, where Angelina won an award for In the Land of Blood and Honey – I’m including more photos from that event at the end of the post. I believe they’re in Sarajevo for the Bosnian premiere of ITLOBAH, which is reportedly tonight. Here’s an interesting Bosnian news report about what’s happening with all of the premieres and stuff:

Angelina Jolie, flanked by her husband Brad Pitt and their six children, has arrived in Sarajevo today for the Balkan debut of ‘Land of Blood and Honey”, her first work as director. She also wrote the screenplay.

The film’s debut will be this evening at the Zetra Olympic sports complex, and will be in film theatres from Thursday.

Already distributed in the US and presented last week at the Berlin Film Festival in the Special section, the film is a love story between a Muslim girl and a Serbian soldier. However – said the US star – ”it is not a story of black and white”.

Jolie’s work met with praise two months ago in Sarajevo at a closed door showing for war victims, which was followed by protests from Serbs, claiming to have been shown in a negative light in the film. For this reason the film will not be shown in the Republika Srpska (RS, the Serb-majority entity of Bosnia).

The distributor has announced that the film’s debut in Croatia will take place on February 17 in Zagreb, but that a date had not yet been set for the presentation of the film in Belgrade.

The Jolie-Pitt family and their numerous entourage took up thirty rooms in Hotel Europa, the most prestigious and charming hotel in central Sarajevo. On her arrival the Hollywood star did not make any statements to journalists. She is expected to visit the Olympic museum commemorating the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Games in the afternoon.

So the film won’t be in any theaters in the Serb-majority areas? That’s interesting. I bet that bugs Angelina, because she really didn’t set out to make a film that took sides or tried to make the Serbs into extremists. Also – 30 rooms at the hotel?!?!? Damn.

Also, there’s this little story that I just enjoyed so much – you know how Jenny Packham is the new big designer to all of the important ladies in the world? Duchess Kate wears Jenny Packham. Angelina Jolie wears Jenny Packham. Well, Packham had her runway show yesterday, and people noticed a difference in tone with this new season. Packham explained the difference – “It’s because we’re dressing Angelina now.” Interesting that she name-checked Jolie and not Duchess Kate, right?

By the way, I love that Brad and Angelina hold hands when they’re just coming off a plane and walking on the tarmac. They’re so tactile. It’s cute.

Here are photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the Berlin Film Festival premiere of In The Land of Blood and Honey. Angelina wore this Jenny Packham gown which… I have mixed feelings about. It seems somehow under-dressed for this Berlin red carpet, probably because the dress actually looks so comfortable. It reminds me of what I always think of Angelina’s default style – she’s very influenced by 1970s stuff, probably because of her mom’s style and how she (Angelina) grew up. This seems like the kind of dress Lauren Hutton or Bianca Jagger would have worn to Studio 54 in the ’70s.

Now, that being said, it’s not a BAD dress. I kind of like the sparkly faux-animal print pattern. The color is beige-y, which I’m sure Angelina loves (bitch loves neutrals). Let her get this crap out of her system, so she can really rock something awesome at the Oscars. Bitch better work a jewel tone, and her hair better be pulled off her face, and I want her dripping in jewelry too. Sigh… I wish she would let me style her, I really do. I could make her look awesome.

Angelina and Brad are probably en route to London as we speak. They’re due at the BAFTAs tonight – I just saw photos of George Clooney in London last night, and Michael Fassbender is due at the event too. We should be getting some good photos! I’m excited. The BAFTAs are always good for winter-style eveningwear, because it’s always so cold in London for the event. Lots of long-sleeved evening gowns and long evening coats and capes, a lost art for many fashion designers.

Yesterday, we learned that Angelina Jolie and the kids are in Berlin. In addition to taking the kids to Legoland and making a “quiet visit” to the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe, Angelina is premiering In The Land of Blood and Honey at the Berlin Film Festival today – these are some pics from the photo call. I dislike her dress. It’s not sack-y enough to be an official “Jolie Sack” but it’s not fitted enough to be flattering. Basically, it’s just a kind of ugly dress with a bad fit.

Yesterday, Angelina met with Germany’s foreign minister to discuss UNHCR business – we don’t have those photos, but you can see them here. Jolie wore all-white, like an ANGEL! Blah. That coat look medical too – like she’s been working in her laboratory, right? Angelina also has a new interview that is getting a lot of play for whatever reason – here’s the video:

She talks about how she finds “balance” between her Hollywood life and her “real” life. I understand what she’s saying here, and I’m totally a fan (you know I am)… but she’s coming across as a little bit sanctimonious when she says stuff like:

“Without the balance of doing things that actually matter in the world — and being part of the real world — then I would have been left in a bubble. That would have felt very empty and I probably would have just had a very shallow, horrible life. [I feel fortunate to be] welcomed into areas of the world where I see people and work with people who are survivors of war. I have a real view of the real world. I’m very touched and very moved by people and what they overcome. They have always reminded me to just wake up in the morning and be grateful that your children are healthy. Nothing else matters.”

Yes, I understand. I get that she’s changed and this is her journey and she’s a better person now. But enough about how “shallow” and “horrible” her life would be without her “real work,” you know? It just seems like she’s judging other people for not living her kind of “real” life.

Did you know Angelina Jolie and the kids are in Berlin now? True story. They flew in (via private jet) a few days ago. Angelina is preparing to push In the Land of Blood and Honey at the Berlin Film Festival. The red carpet is tomorrow – I’m sure we’ll have photos on Sunday. For now, though, just enjoy this story about Brangelina’s activities in Berlin – Legoland! Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe! Wait, what? I had to ask CB if that was seriously the name of the memorial – she confirmed it. I mean, it is what it is, and that’s what happened – Jews were murdered. But maybe a gentler sounding name? Like, even “Holocaust Memorial” would sound better.

It took more than 1-degree weather to keep Angelina Jolie and three of her and Brad Pitt’s kids from enjoying Berlin’s Legoland Discovery Centre on Thursday afternoon.

Mom and Maddox, Pax and Shiloh piled into a Mercedes van and headed to the indoor fun facility, where the kids played for about 90 minutes, before selecting some Lego toys from the gift shop. Pax had the hardest time deciding which package to choose, reports the German tabloid, B.Z..

Jolie seems to be a fan of Legoland, having visited the version in England with one of her kids last September. She also has donated generously to Merlin’s Magic Wand, a worldwide charity created by the operator of Legoland to provide fun experiences for children who are seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged.

After their visit Thursday, the Jolie-Pitts headed back to their hotel across from the landmark Brandenburg Gate to play, as Jolie prepares to show her film, In the Land of Blood and Honey, at the Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday.

On Wednesday, reports the Bild newspaper, Jolie paid a quiet visit by herself to Berlin’s Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

I didn’t know that Angelina was a supporter of Merlin’s Magic Wand. That’s pretty cool – you can read all about the charity here, at their website. It’s cool that Angelina is so supportive of Lego land – she took the kids to the UK version too.

Oh, I just got that no one has seen Brad in Berlin. It’s just Angelina? Did Brad not join her for this trip? Is he too busy kissing Academy ass? I hope Tilda Swinton flies into Berlin so she and Angelina can get bombed together again.

In Touch Weekly has a hilarious story about Angelina Jolie this week. ITW usually has stories about Jolie, as she is their favorite villainess. Nothing she does is ever good enough, and there is no Jolie story too innocuous to be twisted into a tale of conniving ruthlessness and petty, drunken jealousy. It seems that when Brad Pitt and Angelina made their appearances at the SAG Awards, Angelina was already seething with desperation and neediness, so she decided to upstage and humiliate poor Brad. The easiest way would have been to simply devour his soul in front of the crowd. But Angelina chose to get absolutely plastered with Tilda Swinton. VICTORY!!! Don’t believe In Touch Weekly? Check out this photo of Angelina “hiding” a bottle of vodka under her table. She took a swig whenever she thought about how much she hated Brad, obviously.

Slumped over in her chair, eyes half-closed, Angelina Jolie hardly looked like the poised, glamorous actress her fans know and love at the SAG Awards on January 29.

“She was downing glass after glass of red wine,” a family friend tells In Touch. “Brad even caught her sneaking sips from a bottle of Grey Goose vodka under the dinner table!”

Seeming more like a wild sorority sister than a mother of six, she could barely stand by the evening’s end.

“Angelina had to be held up as she stumbled out of the theater,” the friend continues. “Brad was absolutely mortified!”

“Brad really wanted to make a good impression,” the friend says. But Angelina’s boozy behavior made them both look like fools. Sadly, Brad wasn’t surprised that Angelina destroyed his special time to shine. Whenever they return to LA, Brad is the “golden boy” and Angelina gets uncomfortable and needy.

“Brad knows that Angelina hates when he hangs out with his pals at Hollywood parties,” an insider says. “She wants Brad’s attention focused only on her, and she’ll do anything to get it.” And her sneaky scheme – getting so drunk that Brad had to babysit her – certainly seemed to work.

“She should have been supporting Brad that night,” the friend snipes. “Instead, he wound up supporting her!”

Brad should be used to this by now – he spent seven years with Aniston’s boozehound ass too. I’ve never really considered Angelina much of a drunk – maybe because all her critics yell about is the heroin? It rarely occurs to me that Angelina might have an issue with alcohol too. Still, I doubt it. Isn’t it far more likely that Angelina was just enjoying Tilda Swinton’s company and getting her drink on socially? And even if she did get her buzz on, I still don’t see the big deal. It’s not like she slurred her way through presenting an award.

Angelina Jolie has been confirmed as a presenter for this year’s Academy Awards. I like it! She hasn’t presented at the Oscars in a long time. When was the last time? 2004? Yikes. She presented Best Director at the Golden Globes this year, but for the past half-dozen years or so, Angelina has avoided presenting at awards shows, even when she’s nominated. I don’t really know why – she never seems nervous in front of a crowd or anything, so my guess is that it’s just A) bad timing and B) she doesn’t want to. But now that she’s going to the Oscars simply as “the date” of a (multiple) nominee, Angelina thought she might be bored, so she decided to take the producers up on their offer.

The last time Brangelina went to the Oscars, it was 2009 and both Brad and Angelina were up for lead acting awards, he for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and she for Changeling. The previous year, Angelina had been snubbed for a nomination for A Mighty Heart, and they made it a point to avoid going to the Oscars that year. In my opinion – and I have no proof to back this up – I’m guessing that Brad and Angelina have a standing invitation to present at every Oscar ceremony, regardless of whether they’re nominated. Producers simply want people to tune in, and more people tune in when Brad and Angelina show up.

Other presenters who have signed on thus far: Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, and the cast of Bridesmaids. It’s a good list. But I’m waiting to see if Jennifer Aniston gets added. Aniston famously showed up to present at the 2009 Oscars (with John Mayer, LOL) when Brad and Angelina were nominated, and Aniston has Wanderlust coming out THAT same weekend. Will she bring along her new John Mayer, Justin Theroux?

Back in November, Angelina Jolie did an interview with 60 Minutes in which she claimed that she “is still a bad girl… I still have that side of me. . . it’s just in its place now. . . it belongs to Brad–or our adventures.” She gave us hope, y’all. All of us Angeloonies, we wish and hope and dream that some day, we’ll see our old Angelina, the wild maneater who could just as easily stab you as f–k you. I like the current Angelina – I do! – but sometimes I get a little sick of her all-mommy-all-the-time stuff. I miss the old Angelina!

Anyway, Brad Pitt was interviewed on CBS’s This Morning with Charlie Rose. Charlie showed Brad the clip of Angelina talking about the “bad girl” stuff, and Brad’s reaction was just… delicious. Brad says: “She’s still a bad girl. Delightfully so. It’s not for public consumption.” It’s around the 4:30 mark on this video:

Um, did that make anyone else hot? The way Brad smiles and says, “Yeeeeah, she’s still a bad girl.” Like he’s whispering it in her ear as he’s on top of her? Or would he say that to her while she’s on top and his arms are tied to the bedpost? Damn, that was hot.

And, sure, Brad also talks about the kids, Moneyball, politics and using Paul Newman as an example of the kind of life he (Brad) wants. It’s a good interview, and you can read some additional quotes here. But I will be all over Brad’s Oscar campaign if he gives more interviews like this. Please, Brad! Talk dirty to us.

Of course. This story is a giant “of course.” The only shocking thing is how long it took for the tabloids to work this angle. So, you know how Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are pretty much over? Although Vanessa claims they’re not, People Mag disagrees and I’m siding with People. Anyway, back in 2010, Johnny Depp went to work in Venice with an actress named Angelina Jolie. Heard of her? Allegedly, Vanessa wasn’t happy that her beloved was working with the famed “homewrecker” and VP attempted to “order” Johnny to quit The Tourist. He didn’t quit it, so obviously, he and Angelina slept together. Ever since The Tourist’s production in the spring of 2010, there were rumors that Vanessa hated Angelina and that this hatred may have even lead to some high-profile shunning at certain events (the 2011 Golden Globes, the Cannes Film Festival). So, with that back story, why did it take the tabloids so long to come up with a “Johnny Depp and Vanessa have split up because of Angelina Jolie, of course” story?

Angelina Jolie is the reason Johnny Depp’s relationship with longtime love Vanessa Paradis is on the rocks, say sources. Vanessa believes Johnny cheated with Angelina during the making of The Tourist, and that’s what tore their 14-year-relationship apart!

“It’s no coincidence that things began to unravel for Johnny and Vanessa when he started working with Angelina on The Tourist last February. Vanessa was absolutely convinced that Johnny slept with Angelina, and her jealousy and suspicions ended up destroying them.”

“Vanessa was against Johnny working with Angelina in the first place,” revealed an insider. “She firmly believed that Angelina stole Brad Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston and felt she’d do the same with Johnny.”

Vanessa begged Johnny to pull out of the project, and failing that, she demanded that a steamy shower sex scene be cut from the script. Still, insiders say the off-screen chemistry between Johnny and Angelina on the Venice set with obvious to everyone.

“Angelina and Johnny were constantly hanging out, cracking each other up,” divulged a source. Meanwhile, Vanessa has denied reports that she and Johnny are splitting up, but the insider insists they are, adding: “Angelina drove a wedge between them.”

Do I think Johnny and Angelina boned? Not really. I don’t even buy that they were attracted to each other. For those of us who saw The Tourist, their chemistry was sweet and a bit cute, but not hot and heavy. As for how they seemed on the red carpet – well, they avoided each other and when they were forced to stand next to each other, they kind of looked like they hated each other.

What’s weird is that I think the tabloids were really on to something with the Johnny Depp-Eva Green stories. I still think that one might be on. Star Magazine has a story about Eva and Johnny this week too – “Their romance is getting really steamy” according to Star’s source. They just make sense together. Depp and Jolie? Not so much.

This week’s National Enquirer cover story is a doozy. It has a little bit of everything – lies, sex, infidelity, hypocrisy, therapy, broken engagements, lesbianism, hotel hookups, and girl-on-girl martial arts. AND LOVE. As you can imagine, it’s all about Brangelina and whether or not they will end up getting married after all. The Enquirer’s sources say “hell to the no” – all because Angelina is a terrible, awful person, of course. La Villainess Jolie. Since the cover story is so epic, I’m just going to do some highlights in bullet points, for humor:

*Talk of marriage “collapsed” in a premarital counseling session (the counselor was a trusted family friend rather than a therapist) after Angelina “confessed that she continued to have sex with other men after they’d fallen for each other on the set of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’!”

*Angelina dropped the bomb on Brad: she was still boning dudes in hotels AFTER January 2004, when they began working together on MAMS. Some dudes she was boning during that time period? Her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller and Ralph Fiennes.

*Brad was “floored” by these revelations (even though they’ve been widely reported for YEARS). Even though Brad and Angelina weren’t having a physical relationship back them (early 2004), “Brad still considers it cheating, a complete betrayal.” So, obviously, “He stormed out of the session and Angelina jumped up and followed him, crying and yelling out, ‘No Brad! Please forgive me!’”

*Some history: Jonny Lee Miller married Angelina knowing that she was screwing Jenny Shimizu. JLM was cool with it, “but the whole arrangement never sat well with Brad.” LOL.

*In the therapy session, Brad wanted to get all of the bad blood out on the table, so of course, Angelina started talking about how much she hates Jennifer Aniston. “Angelina spoke of her animosity toward Aniston, saying she couldn’t stand Jen’s good girl saint act and Brad’s continued friendship with her.”

*BITCH-FIGHT. “Angelina revealed that there was a day when she physically threatened Jen. She was fed up with Brad still remaining close to his ex, and Angelina got so jealous and upset over the arrangement she told friends she wanted to take Jen down in a fight. Angelina knows some martial arts moves, and she was ready to kick Jen’s ass. She also made sure her threat became known to people who would get the message to Jen, and the two women have had a contentious and distant relationship ever since.”

*Brad was a big baby about Angelina wanting to bitch-fight Aniston. “The whole session left a bad taste in Brad’s mouth. Now he’s not only rethinking the marriage, but also the entire relationship. So, he’s called off the marriage.”

Should I even bother with the fact-checking on this stuff? The Ralph Fiennes story has never been confirmed, and I think it originated with Ian Halperin. There were claims that somehow, Ralph and Angelina met each other circa 2003, and they were getting hot and heavy in hotels for a while. Same with Mick Jagger, and of course, her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller. The JLM stuff is the only story I believe whole-heartedly. Some days, I’ll tell ya… I wish Jonny and Angelina had stayed together. They were HOT.

As for the whole “Angelina was going to judo chop Aniston’s chin” story – WTF were the Enquirer’s editors smoking?
