Oink.cd was a free music sharing torrent site with a huge catalogue that rivaled Napster. It avoided prosecution for so long by only letting people in through invites, which were hard to come by and coveted. Like some of the invite-only paparazzi photo sharing communities that I have no personal experience with because all of our photos are now legally obtained and paid for, Oink became one of the main sources of a lot of pre-release CD leaked online, which would then trickle down throughout the Internet. It operated through torrents, which means that all files were hosted and downloaded from user’s computers, not from a central location, and had about 80,000 active members, according to Wikipedia.

Oink.cd is no longer in operation, having just been shut down by Interpol after investigations by music industry organizations The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The guy thought to have started it, a 24 year-old computer worker from England, was arrested yesterday, his home and place of work searched and computers seized. He was released on bail today after being questioned for “suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and infringement of copyright” by British police. Servers were also seized in Amsterdam. News reports say he profited greatly from the site, and he may have made some money, but the site was free and operated on donations. I doubt anyone got much more than music out of the deal.

The media is hyping this into a big mysterious piracy ring bust, and I guess you could see it that way, but to me it’s just another way that the record industry has failed to keep up with technical demand. iTunes exists, and there are ways to buy some, but not all, digital music in formats that allow you to burn CDs and have it on more than one device. You usually can’t download a specific entire album you want, though, especially if it’s rare or older.

Several top artists are now without music contracts, and Radiohead just set a big precedent by offering their latest album, In Rainbows, online, with a price to be determined by the user. They’re probably making much more per download then they could per CD under the old obsolete rules, which the music industry is clinging to and defending with their last, raspy breath.

The website for Oink.cd has been replaced by a scary message saying it was shut down thanks to all these worldwide police agencies (Cleveland refers to Cleveland in the UK, not in Ohio) with a note that they’re going to look into the activities of users. People are naturally scared, but it’s doubtful police have the resources or the wherewithal to pursue even heavy sharers and downloaders, unless the music industry wants to go after them, and they might. After all, music licensing companies have hounded small coffee shops to pay royalty fees on cover songs performed by independent artists. They’ll stop at nothing.

You can understand how the music industry would want to shut down Oink, and it’s illegal to download music like that, but Napster was shut down 8 years ago. They’ve had enough chance to create a profitable rival, but instead they’ve just acted like bullies.

Yes, a Waffle House brawl in Atlanta landed him behind bars for a few hours. If it was anyone other than Kid Rock I wouldn’t buy it. Police have revealed that Kid, a.k.a Robert Ritchie, made a pit stop at the Waffle House on Buford Highway in the wee hours of the morning after a performance. With his entourage surrounding him as he enjoyed his breakfast, another male patron of the restaurant “exchanged words” with a female member of the group that ignited a disagreement that spilled into the parking lot and morphed into a physical fight. The reported crazy-making left one person, believed to be the instigator Harlen Akins, treated at a local hospital for cuts and bruises. Kid Rock and 5 of his fellow Waffle House brawlers were taken into police custody after his tour bus was pulled over. He can now add a misdemeanor charge of simple battery to his resume. But don’t cry for Kid Rock. He was out of DeKalb County Jail around 5 p.m. Sunday. He was even up to signing autographs on his way out.

Fox 5 News has learned that musician Kid Rock was arrested in Atlanta overnight in connection with a brawl at a Waffle House in DeKalb County Police tell us the singer, also known as Robert Ritchie, stopped at the restaurant at 5:15 this morning after performing at The Tabernacle.

A male customer recorgnized [sic] a woman in Kid Rock’s entourage, and police say that customer and the woman had words. That escalated into an argument, then a phjysical [sic] fight in the parking lot of the Waffle House, located on Buford Highway. Police were summoned, and Kid Rock’s tour bus was pulled over a short time later.

He and five members of his entourage were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The customer, who police identify as Harlen Akins, has been charged with one felony count of second degree criminal damage to property for allegedly smashing a window at the restaurant.

He was taken to Northside Hospital and treated for cuts, bruises and lacerations. No member of Kid Rock’s entourage was hospitalized. Kid Rock bonded out and left the DeKalb County jail just after 5.pm. Sunday, signing autographs as he made his way to the tour bus.

Note by Celebitchy: Kid Rock is no stranger to fisticuffs. He famously got into an altercation with Tommy Lee at the VMAs this year, saying that he “had it coming” after harassing him over his divorce with their mutual ex, Pamela Anderson. Tommy Lee said he was minding his business and that Rock up and punched him on the cheek at the VMAs. He said he was about to put the smack down on him for the unprovoked attack when bodyguards separated the two. “This is what people do when they have shitty albums and their careers are going down the drain,” Lee added.

Rock was also arrested in February, 2005 for punching a DJ in a strip club after they got into an argument over the music he was playing. Rock pled no contest to misdemeanor assault and the DJ is suing him for a million dollars.

I can’t wait to hear Kid Rock’s side of this latest fight, told with his typical bravado and attention to detail. If he has any sense he’ll avoid talking to the press and will issue a carefully worded statement about what happened, saying that he’s grateful no one was seriously injured. It’s Kid Rock, though, so you know he’ll talk a lot of smack about the guy and we’ll get a colorful account of how he and his friends were innocent victims despite the fact that it was the other guy who was hurt.

Yesterday Celebitchy reported that Amy Winehouse was arrested for pot possession in Norway. Turns out, the Scandinavian countries have absolutely no tolerance for the drug… and I have to say that – given that fact – it’d probably be a good idea for someone like Amy Winehouse to stay 100 miles away from all of them at all times. Just a thought. Amy was so out of it that the cops refused to interview her for several hours after the arrest. She was finally interviewed around 11pm, and then forced to stay in her jail cell overnight until she sobered up.

A source said: “They are very strict about drug taking in Norway. With her past record they thought there was more than just a couple of spliffs [I think this is British lingo for a joint]. When she opened the hotel room door it was obvious she was wasted. She was mumbling and no one could understand her. “Amy and Blake were put in separate cells but Amy couldn’t be interviewed straight away because she was totally incoherent.

“She was co-operative and even let an officer in training look in her eyes so he could recognize how a person high on drugs looks.” After a sleepless night Amy was released at 7am on paying a £240 fine. Blake and his mate were also fined and let out. The source said: “Amy asked the police to call her a cab. But they told her she should walk because the hotel was only around the corner so she made the walk of shame back. I don’t think she realized it was actually the hotel that shopped her.”

Amy recovered from her ordeal by ordering champagne in the hotel spa ahead of her gig in the city last night. She is due to return home next week to kick off her first UK tour since her overdose. Last night cops said she was free to leave Norway. Prosecutor Lars Lohte said: “That is the end of the matter.”

No one can really be surprised that when Amy Winehouse does even “soft” drugs she goes all out. I could joke that I’m impressed she was so wasted that she actually became a teaching device, but I’m not really shocked enough to care. Really, considering it was Amy Winehouse, the cops should have given her a medal for just doing pot. Something like the “Thanks for not shooting crack in your eyeball” award. Do they have those? They should have one commissioned just for Amy, and keep in on hand in case it happens again. At least she sobered up and then drank some champagne to calm her nerves.

Amy Winehouse, her husband Black Fielder Civil, and an unnamed British man were arrested in Norway for smoking pot in their hotel room. She was in Norway on day off from her tour, and hotel staff tipped off police. They were arrested at about 7pm and charged with possession of seven grams of marijuana, or a quarter of an ounce. Amy and Blake were released on 500 Euro ($715 USD) bail at 7am after spending the night in jail. Both were said to be cooperative with police.

The 24-year-old was arrested with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil in a hotel bedroom for possessing and using marijuana - after police received a tip off.

According to a lawyer working with police in Bergen, the couple were detained overnight with a third person.

They were released around 7am after paying a fine of 500 euros (£350).

Prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said: “She spent a few hours in custody from Thursday evening to early Friday, she got a fine and then she was released.”

“She’s paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now,” he said.

Police arrested Winehouse shortly after 6pm on Thursday, in possession of seven grams of the drug (a quarter of an ounce) Mr Lothe said.

When I first saw this story I thought she must have been smoking crack or doing heroin. Marijuana is decriminalized in many countries in the EU, and in Switzerland where I live. Occasionally you see people smoking it on the street or at an event and they’re not going to get busted for it. I was surprised to hear that she was arrested for just smoking pot and possessing a quarter of an ounce, but it turns out that marijuana is highly illegal in Scandinavian countries, (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) and they do prosecute for it.

Amy is set to play Bergen today and Oslo on Saturday. Her Bergen date may be canceled, and the status is unknown for now. After that she will be touring in the Netherlands, where she can smoke as much pot as she wants and get plenty of baked goods chock full of the strain of her choice. She has well publicized issues with drugs including an overdose and brief stays in rehab, but if all that was found on her was a small amount of pot that’s progress as far as I’m concerned. Maybe the night was just getting started for her.

Shilpa Shetty wasn’t arrested in India and questioned at the Mumbai airport five months after her controversial forced kisses from Richard Gere on stage at an HIV/AIDS awareness event. Shilpa’s representative has said the reports of her being detained and questioned for that incident, deemed obscene by a court in India and punishable by a fine and up to three months in jail, were false.

They said the whole thing was misconstrued and that she just had to go into a side room to find her paperwork in order to let people in line get through. She wasn’t arrested at all.

It sounds like spin to me, but it could be true:

Yesterday the Press Association reported that the acctress was in tears after being detained at Mumbai Airport by immigration officials on her way to the opening of the Miss Bollywood musical in Berlin.

At the time her Indian spokesman, Dale Bhagwagar, said: “She called me in the middle of the night and was in tears.”

However now Shilpa’s UK spokeswoman Teji Singh has denied those claims.

She said: “Every time Shilpa leaves the country she has to show her paperwork, because of the Richard Gere thing.

“There was absolutely no detention, no arrest whatsoever. She was rummaging through to get her paperwork and just stepped aside to a side room so she wouldn’t block the queues.

“She wasn’t crying. She was bunged up with the flu and she was only in there for eight to 15 minutes.”

Yesterday JayBird reported that Richard Gere apologized for that kiss just recently, and that he had the support of the majority of the Indian legal community. Many lawyers and legal experts in India said the charge of obscenity was outrageous and was just done by a judge in Jaipur for publicity.

Shetty is the UK Big Brother contestant who won the contest after Jade Goody used racial epithets against her, causing a huge scandal. It seems there’s a lot of scandals around Shetty, and they’re only increasing her name recognition and career opportunities. She’s not doing anything wrong, though, and hopefully she didn’t get accosted at the airport.

I’m just going to go ahead and say it: OJ Simpson is one big ball of dumb. How in the world does someone that notoriously famous for getting away with crime think he could very publicly commit a planned criminal act with lots of accomplices and witness and get away with it? Dude, you only got away with it the first time because you killed everyone there. The only living witness was the Akita. Unless you did that here, it wasn’t going to work out well for you dude. People know what you look like (that vertical football shaped head isn’t helping you blend in) and who you are. How could tis have turned out well? Unless you’re banking on the “I’m a notorious murder who isn’t afraid to do it again because I can get away with it” theory, this is going to blow up in your face.

I admitted last week that I don’t know shit about sports. So to me, I guess I just don’t understand how some football memorabilia is more important than your freedom. Go on eBay, I’m sure you can find some knock offs.

“After being whisked away in handcuffs, Simpson was booked Sunday night on two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary with a firearm, police said.

Well here’s hoping. I really doubt OJ would be sentenced to 210 years (oh.my.gosh would that make me happy) but maybe he’ll do some time. I really doubt that it’ll be anything significant, but you never know. The man will shell out some crazy money for lawyers… though I’m not sure how, since theoretically he’s supposed to be living in poverty. But I’m sure he’ll figure out a way to get top of the line attorneys and he won’t do any significant time. Technically he doesn’t have priors, at least relating to murdering people.

I guess Yale Galanter never learned that very basic lesson that we are all responsible for our own behavior. Lying to OJ Simpson about his former possessions doesn’t mean it’s his fault OJ decided to break into a room with guns and steal his old stuff back. OJ getting too “pumped up” and angry has been a well documented problem for him. Along with blaming everyone else for that anger.

In the audiotape released Monday by the celebrity news Web site TMZ.com, a man believed to be Simpson is heard shouting questions while other men yell orders to the people in the room.

“The recording was made by Thomas Riccio, co-owner of the auction house Universal Rarities, according to TMZ. Simpson has said Riccio called him several weeks ago to tell him collectors were selling some of his items.”

OJ Simpson is so delusional, and it’s sad that the legal system has given in and encouraged his delusions. It’s also upsetting that he’s become a bit of a celebrity, and people ask for his autographs. It’s just encouraged his delusions of grandeur, and his feeling that he can give in to any whim he wants. I really hope and pray he does time for this, and that history won’t repeat itself.

On Friday I promised commenters that I wouldn’t post Simpson’s picture again without putting a “Mr. Yuck” sticker over his head first. I’m not sure I can do that without getting sued by the photo agencies, so I’m sticking it here and you all can visualize it on his face if it helps.

What’s more shocking to me about the latest Pete Doherty news is not that he got arrested, because that happens to him about once a week, but that there are women - models even - who are still willing to sleep with this guy. What is it about him? He looks unwashed, he’s said to suffer from unbelievable halitosis, and it’s doubtful whether he can even manage in bed given the amount of drugs he must take.

Sure he’s a blood artist and a musician, and those roles do manage to inexplicably elevate otherwise forgettable and irresponsible men in the eyes of foolish women. There must be something more to this guy if Kate Moss kept hanging on to him for years. Now he’s dating the girl that Kate picked to represent her Top Shop line of clothing, 25 year-old Canadian supermodel Irina Lazareanu, who also used to tour with Pete’s band Babyshambles.

It could be possible that Pete and Irina were just just hanging out as friends as they’ve known each other for a few years. They hung out at Irina’s hotel in London before going to the V music Festival in Essex together, where Pete performed. He was later arrested in London at 2 in the morning on suspicion of drug possession:

Pete was seen arriving to meet Canadian model Irina, at top London hotel Claridge’s in London’s West End before travelling to V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Babyshambles frontman, arrived in the late morning and spent a couple of hours inside the five-star hotel.

When Pete finally emerged with Irina, the pair jumped into a blue people-carrier to travel to the V Festival in Chelmsford.

Later Doherty, 28, was reported to have been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs in the early hours of this morning. The 28-year-old singer was arrested in the Tower Hamlets area of east London at about 2am today.

His lawyer Sean Curran confirmed Doherty is being held at Bethnal Green police station after the car he was travelling in was stopped by police.

Doherty is almost certainly facing jail as he is already awaiting sentence early next month on a series of drugs charges.

In the few interviews I’ve seen of Doherty he seems to ramble on incoherently, or pull disgusting stunts like squirting his blood at a cameraman. He must be super charismatic. Maybe he has one of those personalities that allows women to project whatever level of depth and sensitivity onto him that they can imagine. Those guys have moments of saying really poetic and lovely things that make women think there’s so much more there under the surface, if only they can rinse off that thick layer of grime and ashes to get to it.

If Doherty doesn’t go to jail at least for a few days after this latest arrest it’s going to make the British justice system look even more lax than it already does for letting him remain free despite multiple drug arrests. You know that the guy is going to receive a lot of fan mail in jail. It’s not just the tiny models that want to get with that eyesore.

Update: Doherty is somewhat of a hero, and that’s certainly attractive. He pulled a man in his 50s out of a car wreck on Sunday along with his band mates. The man’s car was flipped over. He was treated by paramedics and released.

When I saw the headline for this article I was hoping it would be some high-profile actor, even though it’s a terrible thing to think, but it’s a guy you most likely don’t remember from Law & Order SVU. Albert Insinnia, 57, played a lieutenant on just two episodes of the show in 2004 and 2005. He now lives in Bloomfield, NJ, and took his computer into a Best Buy for repairs without cleaning out the hard drive first. There was some incriminating stuff on there. He was arrested for possession of child pornography after authorities found 180 images of child porn on the computer.

His excuse, according to his lawyer, is that the images aren’t his and that other people use that computer, even though it’s a laptop.

Albert Insinnia, 57, of Bloomfield, turned himself into the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department in Wayne on Monday and was released on bail Tuesday morning, said sheriff’s spokesman Bill Maer.

Insinnia was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography after authorities allegedly discovered 180 images of child porn on the hard drive of the actor’s laptop computer.

Reached at his home Tuesday afternoon, Insinnia told The Associated Press he had no comment, but his lawyer, Joseph Portelli, said he planned to plead not guilty at an arraignment Tuesday afternoon.

“I understand what he’s been charged with, but I do have to say that based on my conversations with him and the authorities involved, I sincerely believe he’s not guilty,” said Portelli, who mentioned that his client also works as a real estate agent.

According to Portelli, the hard drive on Insinnia’s computer has been transferred various times in the last few years and a variety of people have had access to it.

“Any images that may have been on that computer are not his,” Portelli said, adding that there are no allegations that his client purchased or sold any of the images.

The sheriff’s department has not ruled out additional charges for Insinnia and its investigation is ongoing, Maer said.

“If you exploit a child in Passaic County, you will be hunted down and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Passaic County Sheriff Jerry Speziale said in a statement.

The investigation began after Insinnia took his computer to a Best Buy electronics store in West Paterson for repairs. A technician found the images, police said, and alerted a police detective working security at the store.

The guy hasn’t had a lot of work since Law & Order, according to IMDB, and this arrest isn’t going to do much for his career. Is it wrong of me to think this guy is guilty because he’s creepy looking? There are two sides to this child pornography issue. Creeps who are into this stuff are fueling the exploitation of children and as a mother I think they should be exposed immediately and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The other more liberal side of me thinks that they should be prosecuted, but in court, not in a public forum. After seeing Capturing The Friedmans I realized how far we can go to protect our children, and sometimes fear takes over and these creeps pay for their perversions with a lifetime of jail and/or stigmatism.

I’m not sure how I feel about the sex offender registration system either. There are legitimate pedophiles on there that families have the right to know about. On the other hand, if you look through the actual databases online (at least the one I looked through in my neighborhood in the states) most of the guys are on there for other sex crimes, often “minor” things that they’ll never escape even if they’ve long finished their jail time and/or probation.

This guy will surely always be known as that onetime Law & Order SVU actor who was into kiddie porn. The creep.

TMZ is at the forefront of investigative journalism yet again and is featuring interviews with the three guys who were unwilling passengers in the car with Lohan the night she was arrested for DUI. The three witnesses detail the night in question, and it’s apparent that not only did Lohan drive drunk in a car that wasn’t hers, she put countless people’s lives at risk and ignored repeated pleas to get her to slow down, let out the passengers, and/or listen to reason. Several times she repeated the claim that she was a celebrity and above the law. She ran stop signs and stop lights, did circles around the car she was chasing on the Pacific Coast Highway, and could have killed herself, any or all of the passengers in her car as well as multiple other drivers and/or pedestrians. Given the way she was driving recklessly and how wasted she was it’s a wonder that the worst injury was a hurt foot. This woman needs to go to jail for at least a month for this stunt, the second time she was busted for DUI in less than three months.

Lohan lures her prey
On the night in question Dante Nigro, a friend of the boyfriend of Linday’s assistant, was texted by the assistant that Lindsay wanted to invite him to a party in Malibu. (It does not seem as if the party was at Lindsay’s house, as was previously reported, and sounds like it was somewhere else from the statements given.) Dante’s friends Jakon Sutter and Robbie Blake came with him to the party, but were not allowed in so they waited outside in Dante’s car.

Dante said Lohan was drinking at the party and that he did a shot with her. He said “every time I saw her she had a drink in her hand.”

He said there was “a confrontation outside between [Lindsay’s] assistant and [the assistant’s] boyfriend… They get into some sort of, like a verbal argument, I don’t know, basically he’s our friend and he wants to leave, and so there’s this whole big mess and Lindsay comes out of the house and she starts yelling at her assistant saying ‘You know, you need to be quiet, blah blah blah’ and that’s when her assistant is like ‘You what know, I quit, I’m done, I don’t even care, I’m over working for you’… everyone heard her.”

Dante and his friend Ronnie Blake answered the interviewer’s question about how drunk Lohan was and said she looked really inebriated. Ronnie says “I don’t know what kind of drugs she was on, but she was raging and seemed real crazy like she lost her mind.”

All three guys agree that she was acting wild and aggressive. Then Dante explains how they ended up passengers in Lohan’s crazy mobile. He says that the three of him were in his car, and that he was riding shotgun and their friend, the boyfriend of Lohan’s assistant, was about to drive. The assistant Tarin pulled him out though and ran to her car to drive away.

Lindsay then reached over Dante in the passenger seat and pulled the key out of his ignition. She jumped into the drivers seat and started to chase after Tarin’s car. Ronnie was in the back and he jumped out of the moving car. Lindsay ran over his foot with the car, and didn’t even stop! He shows a bandaged foot and says he doesn’t know if Lindsay knew she ran over him, although he was screaming at the car. He then got help from the assistant’s boyfriend, who was there with him at the side of the road.

Dante grabbed the wheel and put his hand on the parking brake to try and get Lindsay to stop driving and she said “if you touch me, I’ll sue you!” The other guy left in the car, Jakon, says they were pleading with her to pull over and that she was going 100 MPH on the Pacific Coast Highway. He said Lindsay was doing circles around the assistant’s car on the PCH! They said Lohan did three circles around the assistant’s car and was running red lights.

Dante said he told her “you’re going to kill us,” and she said “I can’t get in trouble, I’m a celebrity, I can do whatever the fuck I want.”

Assistant loses Lohan, so she goes to the assistant’s mother’s house and chases the mother’s car
The assistant eventually lost them in Santa Monica. Lindsay decided the assistant was going to her mother’s house, and she started running stop signs in an attempt to get there as quick as possible and almost got in a head-on collision. Right when they pulled up to the assistant’s mother’s house, another car, a black Escalade, was pulling into the driveway. It was the assistant’s mother’s car. Dante ran out of the car and said he wanted to tell Tarin to get out of her car and not drive anymore.

Dante ran back to the car, with the intent of throwing it into park to protect his friend in the back. At that point the Escalade driven by the assistant’s mother was driving backwards down the street to escape Lindsay, and Dante was back in the car.

The Escalade got away and Lohan sped down the street going 80 chasing after it in a residential zone. She ran every red light possible, crossing four way intersections. The two guys kept pleading with her and she said “I can do whatever I want, you want to see?”

Then Dante realized that the assistant’s mother’s car was leading them to the police station in Santa Monica, and he told her about it. She said “I don’t care I’m a celebrity, I can get away with whatever, I’m not going to get in trouble.” Dante swears she said this when the interviewer questioned him about it.

And Dante says she threatened them earlier, saying if they came forward with any of this information something would happen to them, like she would sue them.

Lohan says “I wasn’t driving, the black guy was driving,” but was found out and taken in after failing the field sobriety test
They ended up at the parking lot at the police station, and Lindsay got out of the car, ignored the cops that were there specifically to apprehend her, acted like nothing was wrong and went up to the Escalade. The cops arrested her, and she said “I wasn’t driving, the black guy was driving.” They say she was yelling at them saying “Tell them I wasn’t driving. Tell them I didn’t do anything.”

The cops then question Jakon and he maintained that he wasn’t driving. They gave Lohan the field sobriety test and she failed. The two guys that could have easily been killed on that long and scary car chase were only allowed to leave after the Escalade got a police escort out, as the assistant’s mother was scared that she will still be chased despite the fact that Lindsay had been apprehended.

They then went back to pick up their friend Ronnie, who was still nursing his hurt foot at the side of the road on the Pacific Coast Highway. The assistant’s boyfriend was also still with him.

Conclusion: Lock her up
The guys said they feared for their life, that this was the craziest ride they’ve ever been on, and that Lohan was unrepentant and acted as if she didn’t do anything wrong. They said “definitely if that was us, we would be in jail right now, we definitely wouldn’t get bail.”

As I mentioned in the introduction, this is outrageous and Lohan needs to go away for quite a while. Two stints in rehab didn’t help this self-centered and careless woman, and I don’t know if jail will either, but at least she’ll pay for her actions.

Hollyscoop has an exclusive that Lindsay is broke, having wasted all her money on drugs. Well now she’ll have some huge lawyer bills and hopefully she won’t be employed for a very long time. While her career prospects seemed better to me before hearing this story, now I hope she’s burned all of her chances at any kind of music or movie career. Sound harsh? So is killing people. Everyone knows you’re not supposed to get behind the wheel when you’ve been drinking, and no matter how much your judgment is impaired there’s no excuse. She took these guys hostage and told them to suck it when they told her she could end up killing them. She needs to go to jail.

I’m all too willing to break the semi-ban on LohitneyParis stories with the latest news that Lohan was nabbed for DUI again. 45 days in rehab, a voluntary alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet, and all the cash, friends, and help at her disposal and stupid Lohan couldn’t be bothered to have someone else drive for her.

Lohan failed the “walk the line” test according to TMZ after her car was pulled over for chasing a white Escalade at 2:15 AM in Santa Monica. TMZ reports on Lohan’s blood alcohol level and and says she refused to submitted to a breathalyzer. One article says “Sources say her blood alcohol level was between .12 and .13, well over the .08 legal limit.” while another says she couldn’t walk a straight line and refused a PSAD, or Preliminary Alcohol Screening Device test. The PSAD is a breathalyzer, so it sounds like she refused a breathalyzer, wasn’t able to walk a straight line, and was hauled off to jail, where she was forced to take a blood test. Let me know if you’re more familiar with the way this process works.

She was said to be cooperative in jail, and was released on $25,000 bail.

The SCRAM people, who monitor Lohan’s ankle bracelet which is supposed to detect alcohol vapors from the skin, say they didn’t even know she was arrested. We don’t actually know if she took a breathalyzer or not. If she refused to submit to one, it suggests she had something to hide. Did she not hook the SCRAM thing up? Did she buy another one, put in her closet, and have the SCRAM people monitor that one?

Not only is she drinking and/or drugging, she’s driving under the influence. How stupid and arrogant can you be? If Lohan’s career wasn’t doomed before, it surely is now.

Update: Thanks to Sycko for pointing out that she was also charged with cocaine possession. The coke was found in her pants pocket when she was booked at jail.
