I wanted to avoid talking about this, because homophobes are so 1987, but Isaiah Washington called his co-star on Grey’s Anatomy, T.R. Knight the f word while they were on set back in October, prompting a fight with fellow star Patrick Dempsey, who came to Knight’s defense. Knight has since come out of the closet, making Washington look like even more of a douche.

Then during a Golden Globes interview, Washington invoked the terrible f word again while denying that the incident happened, and tried to backtrack by saying how much he loves the gays.

Their other co-star Katherine Heigl chimed in, saying Washington should STFU about it and not ruin everyone’s special night. ABC was forced to issue a statement saying they have a good work environment and don’t condone Washington’s behavior, and Washington has finally apologized with a statement admitting that he is the idiot that everyone has been calling him.

Here’s Heigl’s second statement about it. She says they need to stop talking about it, it’s hurtful, and that T.R. is her “best friend in the whole world.”

Can they fire this guy and can we move on now?

It’s been widely rumored that comic Dane Cook steals his material from other comics and then has his people pay them off under the table to avoid lawsuits. Along with being unoriginal, his people sure take offense when bloggers dare write something bad about him.

Whoever runs Dane’s official myspace sent a baiting message to Best Week Ever writer Alex Blagg after Blagg wrote some crap about him. Then when Blagg got back to Dane’s myspace asking him why anyone cares about what he writes he received a long mistake-filled e-mail back. The diatribe is full of personal attacks and angry accusations and doesn’t make a lot of sense. Someone’s got issues:

you wish you were Dane Cook and that’s one of your problems. your an elitist dolt with nothing but a crappy unfunny bio. Or as we call you “alt”

if i am DC or not doesn’t really matter. i got into your head and thats all i wanted. once you start posting your jealous “remarks” .. and in forums it is not just your private opinion anymore. So not everyone that reads it thinks your an adorable heavy set treat with your witty quips. I demur that position you take sir.

my remark lets see — well — is you’re a nobody douche with low self esteem that wishes he could contribute anything to this world so how do you do it? Hmmm I guess your a critic of people? This isn’t the first time this has happened. A commentor on Best Week Ever notes that “I wrote about him slightly negatively on my blog last year and he sent me an email within hours.”

Does anyone think this guy is funny? He only came up on my radar when he appeared in that terribly boring movie with Jessica Simpson and was rumored to be banging her briefly. Pajiba critic Dustin Rowles says of Cook:

Dane Cook is that dumbass who shows up to every (every) concert you’ve ever been to in your life and screams in between every single motherfucking song break, “Freebird! Hey, Man. Play Freebird!”

Apparently, he or his minions also get into drunken fights with the guys trying to watch the concert who tell him to STFU. People who do that online are called trolls.

Dane’s publicist swears he didn’t write that message and says there are all sorts of fake myspace sites out there. The message came from his official myspace page, though, the one he links from his website.

Cook is said to let his sister and family members manage his myspace page and add friends for him, and it’s possible one of them wrote that message. The target of that unintelligible e-mail, Alex Blagg, tells Radar Online:

I can confirm with absolute certainty they came from the Official MySpace Page he’s so famous for, which means if Dane didn’t send them, all his millions of MySpace friends are actually interacting with some other douchebag who can’t take a joke.”

Update: Dane Cook blogged that his myspace was hacked and said that was how the e-mail was sent to Alex Blagg. Given how much better he writes and how different the tone is, I sort of believe it wasn’t him. He doesn’t help his cause by dissing bloggers and going on about how there are more important things in life like people fighting in Iraq. He dismisses all the controversy as noise because he doesn’t agree with bloggers’ opinions. Just like making shit jokes, writing about celebrities online is a job. We’re not making jokes on stage, but it’s entertainment and has a similar place in society. Isn’t he supposed to understand the Internet since he’s an early adopter? (And we also support our troops while hoping they come home as soon as possible. How is caring about the world and dissing people incompatible?)

If Cook is to be believed and he didn’t write it, then a likely scenario is that it was someone close to him with access to the site. He didn’t really endear himself to bloggers in his response, though.

Lindsay Lohan spent 20 long minutes monopolizing the bathroom at Hollywood club Les Deux, pissing off all the women waiting in the growing line outside. When she finally emerged she wanted to know who yelled expletives at her, and she shot back at them without apologizing:

“I saw Lindsay walk in and thought she’d come right out but she didn’t, she was in there for like twenty minutes!” says a source. “People started getting mad. Twenty minutes is just unacceptable. You should just go in and out because you know people are waiting. But not Lindsay.”

Ten minutes into Lindsay’s bathroom lockdown, the line of revelers turned into an angry mob. They wanted Lindsay out!

“These girls got so mad they started kicking the door and yelling nasty names at her like ‘Bitch’ and ‘Slut,’ but Lindsay still did not come out. So selfish!” Finally, after the eternal twenty minute wait, Lindsay came out — without an apology.

“Instead, she pointed her finger at everyone and looked everyone in the eye and asked, ‘Which one of you said ‘F**k You?’ That is just not OK!’”

The eyewitness described Lindsay as behaving “like an eighth grader fighting back, when she should have let it go and moved on.”

When the restless crowd started laughing at her, Lindsay’s turned red. A girl yelled, “Firecrotch!” and Lindsay got visibly upset.

But keeping her cool, Lindsay gave a disgusted look to the crowd and said, “F**k you bitches,” and fled the stairs.

Whatever drugs she’s on they certainly don’t make her happy, and if she needed a tampon or something she could have asked one of the women in line.

When is Lindsay going to be old news? I guess when people like us stop paying attention to her.

It really feels like a slow news week. I usually don’t mention it, because most of the time it has more to do with me getting bored with the celebrities rather than the celebrities being boring, but it just seems like it’s dragging this week. People are still talking about Trump and Rosie’s dumb feud that should have been over two weeks ago, and into which Barbara Walters has been dragged. There’s not anything amazing happening so I’ll grudgingly cover it.

Barbara Walters said on the air that she never said anything about Rosie to Trump, and that she and Rosie are fine. There are stories in the gossip rags today saying nasty Rosie went off on Barbara for talking smack about her to Trump behind her back and then not contacting her at all about the whole public argument while Barbara was on vacation.

Now Trump is trying to show that he really did hear Barbara talking shit about Rosie, and he wrote this condescending letter to Rosie saying Barbara even contacted him afterwards. He claims Barbara told him that “working with [Rosie] is like living in hell,” and that she told him not to get into the mud with the pigs. I think that’s just an old saying that means don’t get into a big put-down match and let people drag you down to their level, but it sounds particularly bad when applied to Rosie:

I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your wife - you needed the rest.

An article in todays New York Post indicates that you blew up at Barbara Walters for being a “liar.” Actually, I don’t blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She very much wanted me to go on the show as soon as she got back so that she could “patch things up” (I said no). To be exact, she said that “working with her is like living in hell” and, more pointedly, “Donald, never get into the mud with pigs” and, “don’t worry, she won’t be here for long.” Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it. Perhaps that’s why her initial statement was so mild!

In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how “Rosie was doing,” she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said “Donald, do you have to ruin my meal.”

In any even, you have good reason to be angry. Please give my warmest regards to Kelly!

He also wrote a p.s. telling her to not be so self destructive, but I didn’t feel like typing that all up. You can read the letter on TMZ.

Now, I just read that the new Apprentice in L.A. is tanking in the ratings. It seems like that, and Trump’s fragile male ego are his reasons for continuing this stupid and pointless argument. It sure does keep him in the papers, and he can’t stand it that Barbara is making him out to be a liar.

The View has issued a statement saying that the incident Page Six reported on that Donald is referring to here, in which Rosie is said to have yelled at Barbara and called her a “fucking liar,” was “just a squabble” and now they’re over it. We are so over it too, we really are.

Oh look - a guy who helped Madonna’s semi-illegal adoption go through is having his college tuition bankrolled by the publicity hound:

Madonna is reportedly paying the university tuition fees of a Malawian government official whose colleagues aided her in adopting baby David Banda last year. The singer is sponsoring civil servant Willard Manjolo at Swansea University in Wales, where he is studying for a degree in social work, writes British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

Madonna agreed to fund his studies in June, four months before she brought the one-year-old from Malawi to the UK - leading to speculation Manjolo could have used his position to influence the adoption process.

However, the 40-year-old dismisses the suggestion. He says, “The child is being given an opportunity.”

Meanwhile Madonna is putting out another album this year, which will be a mix of genres and a blatant attempt to remain relevant.

Britney Spears did some recording between bouts of partying and poon-baring these last few months, but her work was so lousy and her image so tarnished that she’s about to get dropped by her record label. Some other label or distributor will surely pick it up, but this is very bad news for Britney. The best quote is from the supposed insider who says “Like the rest of us, Jive is done with Britney.” Indeed

But sources tell us Spears faces imminent axing by her music label, Jive Records, which is “going to drop her any day now.” That word follows our colleague Cindy Adams’ report on Wednesday that Jive execs have decided “to drop [the album] - and her.” Spears spent hours in Jive’s New York studios last month, but produced sub-par tracks. In addition, her hard-partying ways have damaged her image. Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolf, insisted yesterday that she’d revamp her image and continue to record, citing her “rocky period” as an excuse for her “unacceptable” behavior. But insiders believe the album will never hit shelves. “Like the rest of us,” said the source, “Jive is done with Britney Spears.” A rep for Jive denied all, saying, “Jive’s relationship with Britney is fine. She continues to be one of our biggest worldwide artists and we remain 1,000 percent committed to her career.”

We’ll see in the next week or so if this news is accurate, but I don’t doubt it.

True to form, Britney was back partying in LA following her very brief stay at an Arizona spa. It looks like Britney couldn’t follow advice and take a much-needed PR and emotional rest. In October she called listening to advice her biggest mistake, showing how very out of touch and up her own ass she is.

The NY Post says that 70 year-old former catwoman Julie Newmar looks better than 25 year-old Britney, who they called puffy and bloated. Britney kept saying “I love myself” over and over again as she left a club, proving that science is right and celebrities are narcissistic fools.

Socialite’s Life has pictures of Britney out recently looking really old and tired.

Haughty Dita Von Teese has enough fame on her own now and can get rid of the reason people paid attention to her these past few years. (Go ahead and tell me she’s great and all, I’ll take all your comments to heart and you’re sure to change my mind.) Page Six reports that Dita’s husband of one year, shock rocker Marilyn Manson, has been boozing and staying away from her and they haven’t communicated in some time. Dita is about to serve divorce papers to Manson while he’s recording and they claim she couldn’t get in touch with Manson to even warn him about it.

Page Six has learned that the pasty-faced Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will be served with divorce papers today at a Los Angeles recording studio where he’s working on his next album, with Von Teese citing “irreconcilable differences” in giving him the boot.

Sources say the raven-haired bombshell filed for the split right before Christmas, but Manson has been unaware of it because she couldn’t get in touch with him.

“He’s not been responsive,” a friend said. “She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can’t even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can’t even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn’t even noticed.”

Friends say Manson had been boozing heavily last year, much to Von Teese’s dismay, but she’d desperately tried to hold on. “She really tried to make this work,” the friend said.

Why does this not surprise me? Maybe he’s just sick of her and is drinking to forget about his mistake. Back in June I said that Dita and Marilyn weren’t going to last after reading her comments about how much better she was than other hardworking strippers.

Dita and Marilyn dated for seven years before getting married in December 2005. They have some cats and dogs but no children.

Britney Spears manager says she’s going through a tough time that she calls her “rocky moment” and “knows what she needs to do” to retain her crown as a pop star. Whether she can actually do it is doubtful, and people are saying she’s jumped the shark.

Spears is staying at an exclusive Arizona spa after reportedly collapsing (or falling asleep, depending on which version you believe) during a New Year’s gig hosting a party. People are whispering that she’s one step away from rehab, but one article claims that Spears really did just get tired that night and that the press is spinning the story because we all hate her and expect outlandish behavior from the pantyless onetime friend of Paris.

I would guess that whatever PR team she has left, which seems to consist of her crappy manager, told her that she better step out of the spotlight fast considering that she’s incapable of making a decent impression lately. Jetting her off to a spa in Arizona may have temporarily done the trick.

Her manager says that he understands why we all think she’s over, but that really she’s not - just wait:

Rudolph says he knows many fans have been put off by Spears’s recent behavior. “From what they’ve been seeing and hearing, I understand the disappointment,” Rudolph says. “But Britney is increasingly motivated to get out there. She sees this as a challenge, that some fans may be questioning her. She is respectful. She sees this as her challenge to win them back.”

Britney got a lot of bad press after fansite World of Britney temporarily shut down last month with a message that the pop star was “done.” Rudolf then published a letter from the site owner, Ruben Garay, requesting an amazing $50k in supposed server fees to keep it open. In retaliation, Garay briefly put up a supposed IM chat with Britney’s manager Rudolf, in which he claims that Britney is the big ‘ol narcissist that we think she is, and said she doesn’t give a shit about her fans.

Donald Trump gave a nasty interview before the holidays about his feud with Rosie O’Donnell in which he personally attacked her for personally attacking him on The View over the Miss USA debacle. He said that she’s fat, that he’d send someone to steal her girlfriend, and that her popular 90s talkshow failed.

Commentors note that he likes his women submissive, and that he wouldn’t put down a male enemy by calling him fat like he did Rosie.

Now he gets pissy all of a sudden when Meredith Viera asks him about Rosie. He’s the one who decided to start a big fight with her, and now he’s all upset that someone asked him about it. What an asshole.

Trump also claimed that Barbara Walters doesn’t like Rosie and wants her off The View. Walters has denied that, and says that she doesn’t regret hiring her, but Trump gave yet another interview saying he’s right that they have a bad relationship, making his latest tirade that more ridiculous.

I don’t think those two are good friends though, because Walters’ body language seems to show that she’s annoyed with Rosie in some of the clips I’ve seen of them together on the show. In case you care, Walters has returned from vacation and is now back on the stupid talkshow, which I would never talk about if there wasn’t some controversy involved. It seems like they’ve got a good formula going to get publicity.

I stepped away from the computer to spend an inordinate amount of time travelling and returned to find another semi-scandal on The View over Rosie’s big mouth. Rosie took the opportunity to cut down and mock Donald Trump after he granted clemency to Miss USA Tara Conner. It seems like the continuation of a long-standing grudge she’s had with the real estate mogul and reality TV star. Rosie said that The Donald wasn’t one to judge anyone’s morals considering that he’s traded in two wives for younger models.

Trump wasted no time issuing a response in which he pointed out repeatedly how fat and disgusting Rosie is, and noted that she’s had it out for him since he publically talked about her failed talk show and magazine. Trump says he’s considering sue her, most likely over her claims that he’s not a self-made man and that he’s a “snake oil salesman.” He said that she’s pretty lucky to have such a hot girlfriend and that he’d send someone over to snatch her away from Rosie.

He had a point with the disgusting thing, but the debate is edging to the lowest common denominator now that both of these clowns are threatening each other. Sure Rosie is heavy, but it’s lame to make someone’s weight the center of your argument. He should have stuck to the facts and not made himself look just as bad by putting her down and saying he’s going to snatch her partner.

Trump also claims that Barbara Walters dislikes Rosie, and recommends that she fire her. I don’t think Rosie’s going to get the boot from The View any time soon. Ratings are up since she joined since everyone is watching to see what crazy shit she’ll spew next.
