Tired of Brad’s ‘mind games’, Angelina has phone sex with Billy Bob Thornton

wenn5312899
After several months of breathless tabloid coverage about how Brad is totally “thisclose” to leaving Angelina and run back to the waiting arms of Jennifer Aniston, it’s a rare pleasure to see a little bit of equally fake “Angelina is getting back at Brad” coverage. This comes from The National Enquirer (via Showbiz Spy), and they’ve finally got out of their uncool Bermuda Triangle rut and decided to make it a quadrangle for fun. This week’s added participant is none other than Angelina’s second ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton.

According to sources, Angelina was totally pissed about the Aniston drama, so she decided to get even, “giving Brad a dose of his own medicine by getting hot and heavy with Billy Bob.” Unfortunately, the sources stop short of saying that Angelina and Billy Bob have actually met up for a revival of their infamous Velcro-wall-blood-vial-sex-in-the-limo ho-down. The most Angelina and Billy have done thus far is some kind of phone sex that included Angelina naked in a bathtub, a glass of wine, a phone and Brad walking in on her. The best part is when the source talks about how Angelina is sick of Brad’s “mind games”. Ha!

Angelina Jolie is furious that partner Brad Pitt is back in contact with his wife ex-wife Jennifer Aniston — so she’s been hooking up with her ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton!

Amid claims Pitt and Aniston liaised at a New York hotel, the Changeling actress has apparently been having “steamy sessions” with Thornton, who she divorced in 2003 after three years of marriage.

“Angelina was beside herself with rage over Brad’s latest date with Jen, which left her humiliated and feeling like a laughing stock,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She has been giving Brad a dose of his own medicine by getting hot and heavy with Billy Bob.”

“Brad recently walked in on Angie, naked in the bathtub, drinking wine and in deep intimate conversation with Billy Bob on the phone!”

“That was the last straw for Brad. And worse still, when he asked Angie to hang up because he needed to talk to her about something important regarding one of their kids, she completely ignored him and kept on talking to Billy Bob for another half hour. Brad was ticked!”

Jolie and Thornton apparently speak on a regular basis. And, when they do, they “talk for hour after hour about the old days, turning each other on with the sizzling reminders of the great sex life they had together, how much she misses him — and how bored she is with Brad’s mind games.”

“It drives Brad nuts that Angie is still talking to Billy Bob,” the source adds. “By meeting up again with Jennifer behind her back, Brad has started a full-scale war with Angelina.”

“She’s determined to get even with Brad for his insensitive behavior — and sees her relationship with Billy Bob as the perfect revenge.”

[From The National Enquirer via Showbiz Spy]

When I think back to Billy Bob and Angelina’s crazy marriage, I’m always struck by the idea that Billy Bob really messed with Angelina’s already fragile mind. It’s to her credit that she cleaned herself up so well during and after the marriage. If Angelina is backsliding in her relationship with Brad, I could see how reconnecting with Billy might be a convenient way for her to self-destruct. Both Angelina and Billy have said that they still talk, and it even seems like Billy might be a little hung-up on her. Still, I hope Angelina has come to the realization at long last that Billy is kind of a dickhead, and she’s better off without him in her life.

Whatever happened to her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, though? There were so few rumors about them after they split up, but I’ve always thought Angelina was still nailing that to the wall for years after their divorce. As she should – Jonny was the best, I adore him still. I even thought there was probably some overlap between her old-school hotel-hookups with Jonny and the beginning of her relationship with Brad. That’s who the tabloids should fabricate some scandal with.

Billy Bob Thornton on radio rant: ‘gave humpback geeks something to do’

Billy Bob Thornton on Jimmy Kimmel last night

Billy Bob Thornton had his first public interview since his infamous bizarre blowup with a CBC radio journalist nearly two weeks ago. All he did was prove that he’s as much of an ass on television as he was on the radio.

In a much-watched YouTube clip from CBC show Q, Thornton initially gave bizarre inappropriate answers in an interview with his band, The Boxmasters. After a few strange unrelated responses, he explained why he was so upset – the interviewer had mentioned Thornton’s acting background as an introduction to the band, although he never asked personal or Hollywood-related questions during the actual interview. It was the nature of the questioning that Thornton arrogantly took offense to, saying “You wouldn’t say that to Tom Petty, would you? ‘I understand music is your first love.’”

In his next performance with the Boxmasters, opening for Willie Nelson in Toronto, Thornton was booed for his attitude and specifically for a comment he made in that interview calling Canadians “like mashed potatoes with no gravy.” His band then canceled their rest of their Canadian tour.

Last night Thornton tried to do some long overdue damage control with a somewhat friendly interview on Jimmy Kimmel, but it was way too little too late and his throbbing ego overshadowed the lame attempt. Maybe Kimmel was the only one who would have him on, and made him wait for a slow night.

Thornton definitely proved that his behavior on the radio was no fluke.

On his rant: “It gave humpbacked geeks all over the world something to do”
When asked by Kimmel about the interview, Thornton responded:
“Well first of all, the fact that that was news was astounding to me. It gave humpbacked geeks all over the world something to do for a couple of days.

“I do that all the time. It wasn’t the first time.”

Thornton then talked about a show he did in Germany ten years ago in which the female host didn’t adhere to his requirements and he responded the same way.

“This woman said something that she wasn’t supposed to say and I told her that I receive signals from Venus from a metal plate in my head. Then of course you get calls from all your friends ‘are you ok?’

‘Of course I’m ok. I told a DJ to kiss my ass, that’s all that happened….’

“If I tell some guy who lied to me in my face to not say something, you know… it doesn’t make any sense to me, plus the fact that… it’s news?

“If the captain from that pirate abduction had been rescued that day. Nobody would know anything about it.”

Kimmel then agreed with Thornton that his obnoxious behavior was somehow justified and gave him softball fawning questions about his music career and life on the road.

This is what people often say when they’re caught in bad behavior and can’t offer a legitimate excuse for it. They bring up the “there’s a war on/people are starving/there’s an economic crisis” argument as if we’re somehow at fault for actually paying attention to what asses they are. Bye bye Billy Bob, your acting career is deservedly waning and now you’ve screwed yourself and your poor bandmates out of a music career too.

Billy Bob Thornton booed by crowd in Toronto

Billy Bob Thornton gave an incredibly arrogant and bizarre interview earlier in the week to CBC radio’s Jian Ghomeshi in an appearance with his band, The Boxmasters. Apparently Thornton told producers ahead of time not to mention his acting career at all and to focus on the music. Ghomeshi covered Billy Bob Thornton’s acting background as an introduction to the band, but his questions focused on their music and unique genre, which is described as a mix of rockabilly and 60s British mod music. That was enough for Thornton, though, who gave dismissive and inappropriate answers to questions and then criticized Ghomeshi for not treating him like Tom Petty.

For his part, Ghomeshi remained persistent but incredibly professional and seemed genuinely baffled that Thornton wouldn’t acknowledge that his fame contributed to his band’s easy success. He was able to turn the interview around and get Thornton talking a little, at which point Thornton criticized Canadian audiences, calling them “potatoes without the gravy.” It’s really clear that Thornton is criticizing Canadians, because he brings up the issue himself, saying at around 11:20 into the interview “Canadian audiences seem to be really reserved. You know, we tend to play places where people throw things at each other and here they just sort of sit there. It doesn’t matter what you say to ‘em… it’s very um, well, it’s mashed potatoes with no gravy, you know what I’m saying.”

Thornton and the Boxmasters performed at Massey Hall in Toronto last night. Instead of acknowledging that he was in the wrong and apologizing for disparaging Canadians, Thornton proceeded to call Ghomeshi an assh*le and to claim that the potatoes without gravy comment was directed at Ghomeshi, not Canadians in general. Over a million people have viewed his arrogant interview on YouTube and there’s no question that Thornton was the assh*le and that he was referring to Canadians as boring, not the interviewer:

Referring to Jian Ghomeshi, the host of CBC Radio’s Q, as an “a–hole,” the Oscar-winning actor turned musician interrupted his band’s set three songs in to give his side of the story.

After commenting on the beautiful theatre and the legendary performer they were opening for (Willie Nelson), Thornton said, “It seems as if when I say something it’s in the news.”

When that drew boos, Thornton continued: “Boo all you want, but I want to say something…. We’re really happy to be here, but I need to say something. I talked to this a–hole yesterday.

“I sat down and talked with this guy. He and his producers say, `We promise you we won’t say that’ (meaning references to Thornton’s acting career). The very first thing they said was that.

“I don’t really like sensationalism,” he added. “If you look someone in the eyes and promise them something, and you don’t do it, you don’t get the interview. That’s the way it goes.”

The explanation was met by further boos and catcalls of, “Here comes the gravy,” a reference to Thornton’s description of Canadian audiences as “mashed potatoes with no gravy” during his interview with Ghomeshi.

Before the show, Thornton told a Star reporter that he “loves Canada.” When asked what he meant by the mashed potatoes comment, Thornton, wearing a thick layer of skin-tone facial makeup and sucking on a cigarette, said: “I was talking about the guy who was interviewing me.”…

Ghomeshi could not be reached for comment last night. Earlier yesterday, he said it was one of the most difficult interviews he’s ever done and he was taken aback at Thornton’s strange responses (sample: when Ghomeshi asked when the Boxmasters were formed, Thornton answered, “I’m not sure what that means”).

Ghomeshi also said it would have been irresponsible to his audience not to mention Thornton’s acting past during his introduction (he did not ask any questions about acting during the interview).

“Our policy is that we don’t allow anybody to tell us what we can and cannot say,” said Ghomeshi. “Beyond that, it was this notion and the language that he used during the interview that I thought was unfortunate, that we were `instructed’ to say this and that. And I think that does raise interesting questions about ideas around how much journalism is to be controlled, especially when it comes to arts and entertainment and culture, and I think that that’s a concern.

“The reality is, and I tried to explain this in the interview, these guys have only been together for two years. You just don’t get the kind of national press they are getting without the incentive being something like his career past…. And I think if he could graciously accept that and say, `Hey, I want to focus on the music, but I get that the reason we’re here is because I’m a movie star that’s won an Oscar.’ There’s not a lot of people who can say that.”

Ghomeshi felt like he was “in the middle of a tsunami” yesterday. He was being interviewed by media around the world. “The nice thing is the reaction that I’m getting from journalists around the world that is really kind of sweet, but it is all very odd … and a lot of people, especially in this country, seemed to support the way I did things,” he said. “Maybe it was a little Canadian to be polite, but I can live with that.”

[From The Toronto Star]

Thornton is only digging that hole deeper and proving that he wasn’t just having a bad day and is consistently an arrogant jerk. You could tell that his bandmates were used to his moods because they all looked worried when they realized that Thornton took offense to his introduction. Then they tried to answer the questions at first but were kind of subdued as if they were scared. Finally the issue came to a head and Thornton made his obnoxious point that he was somehow being wronged because Ghomeshi dared bring up his acting career in any context. Pretty soon he’s going to be directing his non-apologies at 1/2 empty clubs.

Billy Bob Thornton goes off during radio interview

Actor Billy Bob Thornton, 53, is the lead singer and songwriter for an LA-based band called the Boxmasters. Their style is described as a kind of mix of rockabilly with British pop music, or “hillbilly rock.” The Boxmasters have released three albums in the past year, which have received decent reviews. Thornton is promoting their latest album, “Modbilly,” with the title a nod to their unique genre. The band is now on tour with Willie Nelsen and Ray Price.

In an interview yesterday with his band on CBC radio, shown above, Thornton was incredibly dismissive and bizarre in his responses. You can tell when the interview started to go wrong. While introducing the band, DJ Jian Ghomeshi briefly mentioned Thornton’s acting career as background. Thornton looks pissed off when the camera pans to him and then we see the faces of his bandmates looking pensive and worried. Apparently the station had been instructed not to bring up Thornton’s other, more well known career. It all went downhill from there despite the fact that the interviewer only focused on the music and didn’t bring up Thornton’s acting until it became the elephant in the room. Billy Bob’s bandmates do their best to do the interview at first, but when the DJ asks questions to Billy Bob directly he gives unrelated answers in what seems to be an attempt to show that his acting career is just as unrelated to his musical ambitions.

DJ: Billy Bob, You guys formed only in the last couple of years right?
I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know what you mean by that.

When did the band form? Well, when did you guys start playing together?
[Billy's bandmate answers that they started about two years ago]

What do you learn from Willie Nelson, Billy Bob? [They are currently on tour with Nelson]
Uh, I’ve never met him… I don’t really know him. I said hello to him once, nice guy.

You guys don’t really hang out on tour? You don’t know what I mean?
No

Did Willie chose you guys to go on tour with him?
Sh*t, I don’t know…

[The other band members talk about how the genre came about naturally as mix between 60s mod music and "hillbilly" music.]

And that was true for you, Billy Bob, growing up? It was sort of a combo of Stones and Monkeys and Buck Owens?
I just liked baseball as a kid.

And you almost became a professional baseball player right?
I don’t know. Maybe.

You didn’t love music when you were a kid?
Ummm. I subscribed to a magazine called “Famous Monsters of Filmland.” The publisher was a guy named Forest J. Ackerman who passed away recently.

Hmm. Do you remember what you were listening to musically as a kid?
Well they had a contest where you could build your own model. It could be a King Kong… Frankenstein. They made these plastic models in those days… I did enter it once, I didn’t win anything, but I gave it a shot. It was a big deal for us kids in those days.

Where’s the music fit into that?
Music, no it was a monster magazine.

Given that you seem to be quite passionate about music. I was wondering about your…
Would you say that to Tom Petty?

Would I say that he’s passionate about music, yeah.
Would you explain why it’s not a hobby?

Would I explain why it’s not a hobby? Are you reacting to the fact-
Yeah, I am. I am. Since you’re instructed not to talk about sh*t like that. Yeah I am reacting like that.

I’m not really instructed. You guys are here as a band, you’re performing.
The producer is instructed.

Because I mentioned that you’re an actor?
First of all, that wasn’t supposed to be mentioned either.

That’s just giving context, right? I’m happy to interview you guys as a band. For the listeners we’re giving context for who you are. That’s part of your trajectory, isn’t it?
Not really. No

You would prefer me to only do this interview not mentioning at all… that you’ve ever done anything in terms of acting, screenwriting?
That’s correct.

But do you know that people are listening across the country… and they might think that’s odd that I would not mention anything about your past.
I think that’s odd that you have to smoke inside a white stripe outside

That’s also odd. That’s a little different, that’s a rule and regulation. I’m just trying to do a show and give people context for who you guys are.
There’s plenty of context without all that.

The producers told me… that you didn’t want to focus on questions around your acting career, etc. I’m cool with that. I’m happy to talk to you as musicians. It does also occur to me that you’re a pretty new band and one of the reasons why you get attention is because of the career you’ve had.
We’re not really new. I’ve made eight albums.

I know you’ve made a lot… how long have the Boxmasters been here for?
I don’t know.

A couple of years maybe. Even the greatest bands in the world… part of the attention that you’re getting is because of the great career you’ve had in other ways… I’m not trying to be insulting to your musical…
What I’m explaining is that we said do not talk about sh*t like that and we also said that we didn’t want to hear anything about how this is my first love. You wouldn’t say that to Tom Petty, would you? ‘I understand music is your first love.’ Well my first love was a chick named Lisa Cohen.

Do you want to continue this if we talk about music?
That would be great.

If we can call a truce then I can ask you questions about music. [nods]

[Roughly transcribed from the Boxmaster's interview on CBC Radio, April 8, 2009, video above]

Billy Bob Thornton needs to get over himself. The DJ did a great job at gently prodding him without getting too annoyed or giving up entirely, and eventually was able to turn it around and establish a little rapport. Thornton refused to sing when the Boxmasters eventually performed, saying he was the drummer and there were no drums. He does play drums for some songs, but I’ve seen other performances through YouTube in which he stands up front to sing. His fellow bandmembers must put up with a lot of ego from this guy if this is how he treats an interviewer.

It’s fitting that Thornton kept referencing Tom Petty because he came across as “petty” indeed. The DJ was right, this band wouldn’t be getting as much attention if Thornton wasn’t the lead singer and he needs to accept that and move on. Now he’s going to be known for being a colossal jerk instead of the musical purist he fancies himself.

Thanks to TMZ for featuring this interview.

Billy Bob Thornton still talks to Angelina Jolie, wants to work with her

Billy Bob Thornton isn’t one of those bitter ex-spouses who constantly bring up their old partners in interviews. He has mentioned Angelina Jolie in a few interviews, like the time he joked (and really, it was a joke) that Angelina wanted him back. Otherwise, the five-times divorced Oscar-winner pretty much keeps to himself as of late.

Billy Bob is back, and he’s got a film to promote. Angelina’s name came up in an interview with The Boot. Billy talks about other stuff too, but his answer about Angelina is the one that will make headlines. He’s asked which actresses he wants to work with and he names Cate Blanchett, whom he’s worked with twice already. He also names Jessica Biel, which I don’t get. Then he says that he talks to Angelina all the time, and that they’re looking for another project together. Here are some of the interview highlights:

If you could have a drink with one musician, living or dead, who would it be?
John Lennon

Who’s an actress you’re dying to work with?
Jessica Biel for one reason and Cate Blanchett for another. I’ve worked with Cate twice, and I’d say she’s probably the best actress out there. I’d like to do another movie with Angie [ex-wife Angelina Jolie], too, one of these days. We talk all the time. She and I keep looking for something to do together; we just have to find the right thing.

You’ve been married five times. Would you ever tie the knot again?
No. I’m not good for that. It’s not my bag. I think I’ve finally proved that! [laughs]

What kind of dad are you?
Teddy bear. I’m such a pushover.

What’s the biggest misconception about you?
Probably that I’m dark — because I’m really not. I write about dark stuff, I’ve been involved in dark things and I’ve been around a dark world in my lifetime, but I’m a pretty open and friendly guy. [I'm] probably not as strange as people think.

What’s the craziest rumor you’ve ever heard about yourself?
One that was bizarre was that I only eat orange food. It was in the papers for two or three years! I used to go to this one hotel and have breakfast there and only order a plate of papaya and coffee, and those hotel people always talk about you to the media. So I think someone must have said, “All he ever orders is papaya,” and it must have come from that.

From The Boot

At least he knows well enough to not want to get married again. In case anyone is interested, the film he’s promoting is that one he did with Tea Leoni, Manure, where there were rumors that an affair with Billy Bob was one of many reasons for Tea and David Duchovny’s split. Tea and David have since reuinted (sort of, who knows) and Billy seems like an old, chastened hound-dog.

Billy Bob Thornton takes his daughter to the pumpkin patch

It’s really no surprise that Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter Bella is just as bad ass as her dad. Billy Bob did the requisite Hollywood/celebrity family man thing and took 4-year-old Bella to the pumpkin patch along with girlfriend (and Bella’s mother) Connie Angland. Billy Bob may not have racked up as many kids as ex-wife Angelina Jolie, but he seems pretty content with what he’s got going on.

After rumors of “Manure” co-stars Billy Bob Thornton and Tea Leoni being more than just friends, Billy Bob spent the afternoon with his daughter Bella and her mother Connie Angland at the pumpkin patch. It’s as if Billy Bob wants to show the public that he is a devoted father and faithful family man. Both reps for Billy Bob and Tea Leoni have denied rumors of being romantically involved.

[From Fame Pictures]

Always nice to see how they can tie in marital infidelities with family fun, even if it is a leap. Bella is easily the most awesome celebrity kid I’ve seen so far. Billy Bob and Connie clearly let her do her own thing and nurture her own identity. She looks like she has a ton of personality – it’s hard to believe she’s only four. Here’s the family at the pumpkin patch yesterday. Images thanks to Fame.

Billy Bob Thornton denies affair w/ Tea Leoni, says he no longer wants fame

Billy Bob Thornton was cited as the reason for the recent split of Tea Leoni and her sex-addict recovering husband David Duchovny, after Duchovny alledgedly found steamy text messages from Thornton to Tea. Thornton and Leoni recently filmed a movie together and the actor says that the rumors of them having a relationship are not true.

Billy Bob Thornton has denied he is romancing Tea Leoni.

The 53-year-old actor, who was reported to have been secretly dating Tea after meeting her on the set of their new film ‘Manure’, insists their relationship is purely professional.

Billy Bob’s representative said: “Billy and Tea are friends. They recently completed shooting a film together.”

Tea – who has been married to David for 11 years and has two children with him – further fuelled relationship rumours by praising her ‘Manure’ co-star.

She said: “We have this incredible cast with Billy Bob Thornton, who is maybe my new favourite person in the world.”

[From 92.9 Entertainment]

While I’m sure that statement didn’t help to quell the rumors, it’s hardly the kind of thing one would say about a secret lover. It’s more a “working-with-him-was-inspiring” kind of comment than a “sleeping-with-him-is-hot-and-dirty-and-I-love-it”. Tea has remained silent about everything, from her husband’s rehab for sex addiction to the latest rumors of infidelity on her part. She seems to be handling all of it with a sense of decency.

But the silence doesn’t help Billy Bob, and he’s to the point where he’d like to just hang up the famous. Having been married to one of the most controversial and discussed women in the world, Thornton says it’s easy to try to wish yourself into obscurity. He seemed to lap up the publicity to me, it was usually him doing the talking during their “we had sex in the car on the way over” phase, but he kinda tried to drop out of the picture when the divorce came along. Thornton says now, he would rather leave the fame behind and just be in a band.

I always want to be annonymous in every aspect of my life,” said Billy Bob at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s All For The Hall benefit in New York, where he was singing with his band, the Boxmasters.

“I’ve been famous for a long time — I’m tired of that s**t. I just want to be in a band.”

But the Eagle Eye star, who won an Oscar for Switch Blade, says that once you’ve chosen a life in the spotlight, there’s no going back.

“You can’t not be famous once you are. Once you’ve screwed a bunch of pretty girls and won an Academy Award, you’re screwed,” complains Billy Bob.

[From OK! Magazine]

I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest to BBT that he stop making movies if he’s looking to get out of the fame business. It wouldn’t take as much as he thinks it would for his star to flame out.

David Duchovny & Tea Leoni announce split – Billy Bob Thornton to blame?

First Guy and Madonna, and now another Hollywood divorce casualty: Former “X-Files” star David Duchovny and his wife of 11 years, actress Tea Leoni, have confirmed their separation. In a statement released by Duchovny’s rep, the pair revealed that they have been living separate lives for quite some time – even before David’s recent stint in rehab for sexual addiction. New reports coming in are speculating that David’s sexual addiction may not be the only factor in the split.

David Duchovny, who recently left rehab for sex addiction, and wife Téa Leoni released a statement Wednesday saying they have been separated for some time.

“In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months,” the statement says. “The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.”

Duchovny, 48, has been married to actress Leoni since 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

The actor voluntarily entered rehab last summer “for the treatment of sex addiction,” he said in a statement issued in August.

Earlier this month, Duchnovny had “successfully completed the rehab program,” his lawyer said. Duchovny was then spotted with Leoni at the Czech Street Festival in Manhattan.

[From People]

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail is reporting that David was the one who called it quits after finding explicit text messages on Tea Leoni’s cell phone- from none other than Angelina Jolie’s ex, Billy Bob Thornton. Huh?

X Files star David Duchovny and his actress wife Téa Leoni have split up after he discovered explicit text messages on her mobile phone sent by actor Billy Bob Thornton.

Just two months after Téa, 42, encouraged her ‘sex addict’ husband to check himself into a rehabilitation clinic the couple are separating after 11 years and two children.

Through text messages on his wife’s mobile phone Duchovny discovered she had begun a relationship with Oscar-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, 53, who was formerly married to Angelina Jolie.

Five-times married Billy Bob met Téa when they made a comedy film together earlier this year called Manure.

Thornton, a musician with his own band, has been seen with Téa at his gigs. ‘She even helps him load and unload his truck,’ says a friend of the couple.

Thornton, who starred as the U.S. president in Love Actually, has three children by his various wives, plus a four-year-old daughter by his current girlfriend, Connie Angland.

But he is reported as saying that he won’t wed again because marriage ‘doesn’t work’ for him.

It was Téa who persuaded her husband to receive treatment for ‘sexual compulsion proclivity’ at the Meadows clinic in Arizona, followed by further treatment at the Keystone centre in Pennsylvania.

‘Yes, they have separated,’ says Téa’s spokeswoman. ‘She is living on her own with the children in New York, but we did not want to announce it for the sake of the children until after David had received treatment for his problems.’

[From The Daily Mail]

I wasn’t too busted up over Guy and Madonna, but this one makes me sad, even if some people did call it. Tea and David always seemed like a grounded couple who really dug each other. But you never really know what’s going on in a marriage behind the scenes.

Billy Bob Thornton jokes that Angelina Jolie wants him back

Angelina Jolie’s second husband, actor Billy Bob Thornton, 52, joked during a promotional appearance at a Barnes and Noble to promote the second CD by his band, The Boxmasters, that the pregnant A-list actress will come back to him any day now. He was likely asked about her, and came up with this delusional response:

Thornton said, “She’s just going through a high school phase. You know dating the quarterback of the football team with Brad Pitt over there. She’ll be waking up from that dream in no time. Who knows if I’ll be there when she’s ready to come to her senses though.” Thornton added that they all come back, but he’s not a fan of repeats.

[From Defamer]

Of course Billy Bob was joking. He was said to have walked out on Angelina shortly after she adopted then-baby Maddox from Cambodia. There were rumors that he tried to reconcile with her afterwards but that she wasn’t having it and wouldn’t take his calls.

Angelina was Billy Bob’s fifth and most recent wife. She had nothing but good things to say about him in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. She said “I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into — it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.” There’s little chance of a reconciliation, and the guy probably feels regret having to see her at the checkout counter nearly every week since they split up in 2003. Thornton has a nearly three year old daughter, Bella, with his girlfriend Connie Angland and three older children from his first and fourth wives.

Billy Bob Thornton is shown singing with The Boxmasters at SXSW on 3/13/08, thanks to Splash News.

Here’s Billy Bob and the Boxmasters singing “Original Messed Up Kid.” They’re not bad.

Leslie Jordan heard secondhand that Billy Bob Thornton is well endowed

Out and proud actor Leslie Jordan, 53, has a new memoir coming out that’s supposed to be full of tales of his debauchery including plenty of sex and drugs. The Emmy-winning actor known for being the bitchy nemesis of Karen on Will and Grace writes that he’s had crushes on his co-stars. Billy Bob Thornton was especially appealing to him after he heard from John Ritter that the guy was hung like a rope. Considering the late great comic John Ritter gave him this information, you have to think that he was putting him on:

“Dean Cain was stunning, and the sight of him strutting about in his Superman outfit was truly magnificent,” Jordan gushes, recalling his cameo on “Lois and Clark.” “I showed up on the set determined not to ‘peter-gaze,’ or at least not to get caught at it.”

He became obsessed with Billy Bob Thornton while filming “Hearts Afire” after co-star John Ritter hinted to him about the size of Thornton’s manhood.

Ritter explained that he’d gone surfing with Thornton and later hit the showers. Ritter told Jordan the sight of Thornton’s “rope” would cause him to “fall in love.”

Jordan laments that he never got the chance: “There are probably a lot of things I’ll go a lifetime without seeing – the Mona Lisa, the Taj Mahal, the pyramids. And I’ll probably never see Billy Bob’s wiener, either.”

[From The NY Daily News

Jordan's memoir is called "My Trip Down the Pink Carpet," and is available for pre-release through Amazon.

I read an interview with Jordan from 2006 on AfterElton.com, when he was promoting a series of autobiographical plays he was doing with Delta Burke. He said that it saddens him to see young men addicted to drugs and you can tell that he's been through a lot and is wiser for it. His biography is sure to be interesting if this is how he talks:

“I'm sitting here, 51 years of age,” he says. “I survived growing up in the '50s. I survived the '60s where I was a hippie smoking dope. I survived the '70s where I was staggering around in Elton John platform shoes, swallowing quaaludes and going to Studio 54. I survived the '80s where I made a whole lot of money and did a whole lot of cocaine. Then crystal meth came on the scene — that was me in the '90s.”

He continues: “And now I'm sober. I buried an entire phone directory of friends to AIDS. And yet I survived. I feel I have to give back. I'm still at the AIDS walks and the marches.”

“You know what really saddens me?” he asks. “In the early '80s you'd be walking down the street and you'd see someone you hadn't seen in a while, and they were gaunt and really white. It was just heartbreaking. You thought, ‘Oh my God — it has got them.' And now in this day and age, it's almost the same thing. You see someone walking down the street and they are gaunt. Crystal's got 'em. It's a huge problem in our community. It really messes with you.

“I see these young, beautiful gay men jerking and twitching and thinking they look so fabulous, yet their eyes are completely dead. I do a lot of work with recovery programs and houses. It's sad so many young men are getting wrapped up in it.”

He adds: “But one thing I'll say about gay people: We take care of our own. We learned that in the AIDS crisis. And we'll take care of this.”

Jordan also said he was glad to get work as an openly gay actor and didn’t worry about being typecast and just accepted the paychecks.

Do you think Billy Bob Thornton is hugely endowed though, or was John Ritter just messing with Jordan? He seems like the type to make something like that up. Has Thornton been nude for any roles so that we can see for ourselves? Frantic googling didn’t produce any results.

Billy Bob Thornton is shown outside the Late Show on 9/13/07 and at The Astronaut Farmer premiere on 2/20/07. Those jeans are too loose and I’ve looked through plenty of photos and he just doesn’t wear tight jeans. Maybe that’s for comfort purposes. Leslie Jordan is shown at the GLAAD media awards on 4/26/08. Thanks to WENN and PRPhotos.
