Anna Faris & Chris Pratt welcomed son Jack Pratt on Saturday

Some celebrity pregnancies seem to drag on forever, with expectant celebrity moms seeming to gestate for what feels like a year and a half (case in point: doesn’t it feel like Gisele is due any minute now? She’s not.) Anna Faris was not one of those women. Anna and her husband Chris Pratt announced their first pregnancy in May, and Anna just gave birth yesterday. The baby came early – which Chris and Anna say in their statement. The baby was due “in the fall” according to their original pregnancy announcement, which makes me think the baby probably came more than a month early. So, the baby is in the NICU for now, but the fact that they released a statement already makes me think that everything will be fine and everybody is being taken care of. Anna gave birth to a boy – they’ve named him Jack!

It’s official: funny couple Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are parents!

The Dictator star, 35, and the Parks and Recreation actor, 33, welcomed a son, Jack, on Saturday, Faris’ rep tells Us Weekly.

“Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Jack,” her rep says. “He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time.”

Earlier this month, a source close to the couple told Us the pair is thrilled to be starting a family together. “They planned for this baby and now seemed as good of a time as ever,” the insider explained. “They really will be the best parents.”

A second source says Faris and Pratt, who wed in 2009, were “so excited” to become first-time parents. “Having a kid is a big deal to both of them — they didn’t take this lightly.”

Pratt, who shows off his musical skills as goofy MouseRat frontman Andy Dwyer on Parks and Rec, is also “excited to have a little guy to teach guitar,” the insider added. After his critically acclaimed performance in 2011′s Moneyball (opposite Brad Pitt), Pratt “has been into baseball again,” the insider revealed. “I’m sure he’s going to sign his son up.”

[From Us Weekly]

Congrats to Anna and Chris! I truly hope everything is fine with Anna and the baby, and that they can bring the little fella home soon. I really enjoyed how low-key her pregnancy was, but maybe I liked it so much because it felt so brief. And while I personally love the name Jack, it really feels like every other celebrity named their son Jack or Jackson. I imagine the kindergartens from here to 2020 will have at least of a third of all the boys being named Jack or Jackson. Or Pilot Inspektor.

Kim Zolciak gives birth to Kash Kade, 14 months after Kroy Jagger was born

Ah, finally. After writing three Twihard-y posts in a row, it’s almost a relief to get back to normal F-list celebrity gossip. Do you guys remember Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zociak, the woman with the magnificent Barbie wigs and the sketchy relationship with someone called “Big Papa”? Well, Kim and Big Papa were no more, and Kim moved on to a younger man, Atlanta Falcon Kroy Biermann. Kroy and Kim have actually been together for a few years, and Kim gave birth to their first child together 14 months ago – a son they named Kroy Jagger Biermann. Yesterday, Kim gave birth to their second child together, another boy they named Kash Kade. UGH.

A cascade of congrats for Kash Kade! Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kim Zolciak gave birth to her fourth child, a little boy named Kash Kade Bierman, on Wednesday.

“@biermann71 and I are sooo excited to tell you baby Kash Kade arrived today!!! Baby and I are doing great!!!! #soblessed,” the Tardy for the Wedding star, 34, Tweeted.

It’s the second child for Zolciak and husband, Kroy Biermann, whose first son KJ was born just 14 months ago.

“I’m so happy to announce that today we ?@kimzolciak? and I welcomed our 2nd son Kash Kade, Mommy and baby are doing great!” Atlanta Falcons player Bierman, 26, wrote.

Bierman is also devoted stepdad to Brielle, 15, and Ariana, 9, Zolciak’s daughters from a previous relationship.

Big sister Brielle also tweeted excitedly about her newest sibling. “BABY KASH KADE IS FINALLY HERE!:)” the teen wrote.

Zolciak revealed her baby-to-be’s gender back in May. “KJ will have a best friend for life!” she wrote.

After meeting at an Atlanta fundraiser in fall 2010, Zolciak and Bierman tied the knot on November 11, 2011, in a ceremony taped for their Bravo spinoff Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding.

[From Us Weekly]

Thoughts on the name? Obviously, because Kim and Kroy both have “K” names, they decided to “K” up their children too, because isn’t that just the cutest thing? I didn’t have a huge issue with naming their first son “Kroy” after his dad, although I hated “Jagger” as a middle name. But Kash Kade? For real? I hate the Kardashian-ification of baby names. Anyway, congrats to Kim and Kroy. She should be getting knocked up with their third kid any moment now.

Uma Thurman & Arpad Busson welcomed a baby girl on Sunday

Uma Thurman has given birth! Uma and her baby-daddy/boyfriend Arpad Busson welcomed a baby girl yesterday in New York (I think it was NYC). They haven’t released a name yet. The little girl joins her half-siblings Maya (13) and Levon (10), the two children Uma had with Ethan Hawke. I’m predicting a relatively normal name for this little girl… something kind of boho, but not crazy. Like Summer Arabella Busson or something.

Uma’s a mama again! Uma Thurman gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday, a source confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. No other info was immediately available.

It’s the the third child for the 42-year-old Oscar nominee, who has two children — Maya, 13, and Levon, 10 — with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, and her first with financier beau Arpad Busson.

The Smash guest star and Busson, 49, called off their engagement in 2009, but reunited last year.

“Uma was definitely not planning on having another kid. It was a surprise,” a source told Us, which first broke new of Thurman’s pregnancy back in February. “But she’s over the moon about it, very excited.”

Thurman and her daughter-to-be were feted at a small baby shower in NYC May 31 thrown by her half-sister Taya Thurman. Among the two-dozen guests at the baby pink-elephant themed bash were Thurman’s Smash costars Debra Messing and Will Chase.

Thurman’s ex-husband Hawke has also become a parent again following their 2004 divorce; the actor, 41, and second wife Ryan are parents to young daughters Clementine, 3, and Indiana, 11 months.

[From Us Weekly]

Congrats to the happy family! Hopefully they’re happy about it, because I really do think this pregnancy was a complete surprise. Uma announced her pregnancy earlier this year, after there were some suspicious blind items that may or may not have been about Uma’s early pregnancy-partying. Uma was also photographed with a wine glass full of some light liquid back in March, when she was on vacation in St. Bart’s with Arpad and her kids. Hopefully, the baby girl is perfectly healthy and we’ll find out the name soon enough.

Kelsey & Kayte Grammer welcome baby girl Faith Evangeline Elisa

I keep getting mixed up about Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte. They got married last year, correct? And then renewed their vows this year. And then there was the pregnancy – their first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage but then Kayte got knocked up again… which I kept forgetting. I’m sorry for letting you down, gossip-wise. I do try to pay attention, Kelsey Grammer is just some kind of gossip black-hole for me. Anyway, Kayte gave birth on Friday. They had announced months ago that they were expecting twins but it seems like one of the babies died in utero, which is just sad.

Even as they celebrate the newest addition to their family, Kelsey and Kayte Grammer are mourning the loss of her twin.

The couple of two years reveals that the Friday morning arrival of Kelsey and Kayte’s new daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa, was bittersweet.

“We are thrilled,” the couple tells Us Weekly in a statement about their baby girl, who weighed in at 6lbs, 2 oz. at birth. “Mother and child are in excellent health. We were ecstatic earlier this year, when we announced that Kayte was carrying twins. Tragically, we lost the little boy shortly thereafter,” the couple says. “This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time. It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now.”

Still, the Grammers — who married in February 2011 — say they’re focused on moving forward from their tragic loss.

“A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us,” they share. “We proudly announce Faith to the world today looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come.”

[From Us Weekly]

The children yet to come…? Kayte is going to keep on having babies, apparently. He already has an adult daughter and two children with Camille. Eh, whatever, I’m not going to harp on about it. As for the little girl’s name… it sounds very Southern to me, probably because “Faith” is my mom’s name and she’s super-Southern. I think Evangeline is pretty, as is Elisa. But my first thought was “This little girl’s initials are F.E.E.G.” “Feeg” is just a cool word to sound out… “Feeeee-eeeg.” Anyway, congrats to the happy family!

PS… I like the fact that Kayte wore flip-flops throughout her pregnancy. But this busted red shade of hair color needs to go!

Kourtney Kardashian gives birth to baby girl Penelope Scotland Disick

It’s baby time! I’ve been expecting this for a while – all of the knocked up celebrity women are going to be giving birth, all within a few days/weeks of each other. Over the weekend, it was Sienna Miller and now Kourtney Kardashian. You should keep your eye on Drew Barrymore too – I suspect she’ll be giving birth shortly. Anyway, Kourtney and Scott Disick welcomed their second child together on Sunday, according to E! News. It was a little girl, and they named her Penelope Scotland Disick. Hm.

Look out, world: there’s an adorable new Kardashian to keep up with now! Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have welcomed their second child—and first daughter—E! News has exclusively learned.

The baby girl was born early Sunday in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and joins big brother Mason in the ever-expanding Kardashian-Disick household. So how did the birth go down? And, most importantly, what’s the cutie pie’s name?

Let’s say hello to Penelope Scotland Disick.

“Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably,” Kourtney tells E! News.

The 33-year-old E! star had an all-natural birth, and her new mini-me tipped the scales at 7 pounds, 14 ounces.

“It was a great. She had an easy delivery,” matriarch Kris Jenner tells us. “[Penelope] is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She’s so beautiful. We are so happy.”

As it happens, this has been one highly anticipated birth (complete with a headline-grabbing false alarm), and not just among the fans. Kourtney and Scott announced the news of the impending stork delivery last November, and revealed that they were expecting their first daughter in February of this year (son Mason turned the big 0-2 in December).

In May, the family—along with Kim Kardashian’s beau, Kanye West—celebrated the baby-to-be with a femme-fueled, pink-themed baby shower. As for the million-dollar question: as Mason’s birth was must-see TV, are the proud new parents going to once again share with fans the miracle of life?

“I don’t know,” Kourtney said on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago. “We’re gonna film it again ourselves, and honestly, my experience last time was so peaceful and calm and everything you don’t see in the movies. And I really wanted to share that with people so they knew it doesn’t have to be a crazy screaming session.”

This time around, we’ll have to wait and see. While Kourtney said she and Scott planned on filming the birth, they would decide after the fact if they were going to go public with the footage. And something tells us that’s not their biggest priority at the moment.

[From E! News]

Well, congrats. I don’t hate the name Penelope at all. As for “Scotland” – eh. It’s just a middle name, and I guess it was just to have “Scott” somewhere in there. Penelope Disick? Penny Disick? That’s kind of cute. My mom – who watches the Kardashian shows – says that Scott has changed for the better over the past year, and that Kourtney has turned into an even bigger a—hole (“like her mother,” my mom says). I have to admit, I’m kind of surprised that Scott has stuck around and I’m kind of surprised that Kourtney hasn’t kicked him to the curb by now. And now there’s another Kardashian girl in the mix! Mother of God.

Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge reportedly welcomed their first child this weekend

Sienna Miller has given birth! Only we don’t know exactly when or the sex of the baby or what Sienna named it. Us Weekly is still running the story as a huge “exclusive” although they don’t have confirmation from Sienna or from the baby-daddy, Tom Sturridge. Still, I tend to believe Us Weekly probably has it right. They were the outlet to correctly predict that Sienna was knocked up in the first place, so I guess they have sources close to Sienna – or Sienna’s rep is just close to someone at Us Weekly:

And baby makes three! Sienna Miller and her fiance Tom Sturridge welcomed their first child over the weekend in London, a source confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. Details on the baby’s gender, name and weight were not available. The British duo have been dating for over a year and debuted signs of their engagement — Miller’s dazzling diamond engagement ring — in mid-February.

After remaining mum about her pregnancy for several months, the actress, 30, finally opened up to British Vogue in April.

“Even though I’m under strict instructions not to say anything as it would completely defeat the point of everything I’ve tried to achieve in the last eight years,” the resolutely private actress expressed to the mag. “I’m feeling fine…It’s all progressing nicely and it’s very exciting.”

Despite the couple’s silence about their new addition to their family, Miller and Sturridge, 26, made no hesitation in stepping out in public on several celebratory occasions.

In May, the couple stole some time away in Portofino, Italy for a babymoon. A week later, they got decked out to celebrate Sturridge’s BFF Robert Pattinson’s 26th birthday at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant in London, England.

[From Us Weekly]

My gut tells me Sienna had a girl. But I could totally be wrong, who knows? I hope we get some kind of announcement or confirmation, but don’t hold your breath for it – Sienna has grown increasingly more private over the past few years, and while she’s still got the heart of a famewhore, she has been doing better about keeping her mouth shut about her personal life.

Guesses for the godparents for Baby Miller-Sturridge? I’m saying Robert Pattinson for godfather and Keira Knightley for godmother. Keira and Sienna are tight – and Tom and Rob are BFFs. Sienna will not make Kristen Stewart the godmother, mark my words, Twihards.

Jason Lee welcomes son Sonny, which isn’t as bad a name as Pilot Inspektor

Jason Lee isn’t quite as bad as Bob Geldolf when it comes to giving his kids embarrassing names, but he came close with his eldest son: Pilot Inspektor, now eight. Pilot is from Lee’s previous relationship, with a woman named Beth Riesgraf. (He was married from 1995-2001 to his first wife, Carmen Llywelyn, and they didn’t have any kids. She dished a lot of dirt and accusations about him, and about Scientology, to the National Enquirer a couple of years ago.) Jason is now remarried and has just welcomed a son, Sonny, his second child with second wife, Ceren Lee. They also have a three and a half year-old daughter named Casper. So as far as baby names go Sonny is fine I guess, all things considered. It sounds a little dated to me, but it’s not bad. Here’s the announcement from People, which conveniently leaves out Pilot’s middle name.

Jason Lee and wife Ceren welcomed a son, Sonny Lee, on Saturday, June 16 in Los Angeles, his rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Arriving at 2:57 a.m., Sonny weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz.

The couple are already parents to daughter Casper, 3½, as well as son Pilot, 8½, from Lee’s prior relationship with Beth Riesgraf.

Lee, 42 — who wed his wife in July 2008, and renewed his vows last November — most recently guest-starred on NBC’s Up All Night as Maya Rudolph‘s character Ava’s love interest Kevin.

[From People]

Well congratulations to Jason and Ceren. I know Jason has a longer career on television, but I’ve seen Alvin and The Chipmunks so many times that he’ll always be Dave to me. Dave, a nice normal, common name.

Alyson Hannigan gave birth to baby girl Keeva Jane Denisof three weeks ago

I’ve barely followed Alyson Hannigan’s second pregnancy. It’s sort of like Kourtney Kardashian’s second pregnancy – I always forgot about it until I saw new photos of their bumps, and every single time I was like, “Oh, right. She’s preggo.” No disrespect to Alyson – I like her just fine, and I think she’s cute and talented. But I just haven’t been paying attention. Anyway, Alyson and her husband Alexis Denisof welcomed their second daughter on May 23rd. And they announced it on June 12…? Weird. You would think that one tabloid or another would have gotten a scoop on the birth before the announcement three weeks later…?

Welcome to Hollywood, Keeva! Alyson Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisof welcomed their second daughter, Keeva Jane Denisof, May 23, her rep tells Us Weekly exclusively.

Little Keeva joins big sister Satyana, 3. “They are all doing well,” the rep adds. Us was first to break news of Hannigan’s second pregnancy in mid-December.

Last month, the How I Met Your Mother actress, 38, was among the many Hollywood moms congratulating (via Twitter) Jessica Simpson on the birth of her daughter Maxwell Drew. Joked Hannigan: “Does this mean I now have the biggest bump?” (The star also cracked that people assumed she was “ready to pop” as early as April.)

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum wed Denisof, 46 (who starred on Buffy spinoff Angel) in October 2003.

“[Being a mother] has changed me in every way because my life is so much greater,” Hannigan told Us in May 2010. “It filled a void I never knew was there — it’s the most amazing experience of my life. I just feel so blessed to get to be on this journey, to be a mommy. [Satyana] is just the greatest baby.”

[From Us Weekly]

What do you think of the name Keeva? I kind of like it, although it already sounds like a nickname rather than a proper name. Isn’t “Akiva” a popular boy’s name these days? I feel like I keep reading about boys named Akiva. I just looked it up – Keeva is the girls’ variation of Akiva. That makes sense. And “Keeva Jane” sounds nice together. It’s cute and unusual, but it’s not “WTF? Why did they do that to an innocent baby?” I do think the name Satyana borders on “WTF?” though.

Anyway, congrats to Alyson, Alexis and big sister Satyana!

Marley Shelton gives birth to her second baby girl, names her Ruby Flynn

Marley Shelton

I feel slightly ashamed at admitting this, but I didn’t even realize Marley Shelton was pregnant (or married either) even though I’m a fairly dedicated fan of her acting and many of her movies as well. She proved herself to be an underrated presence in the opening scene of Sin City and managed to be effectively creepy while playing sketchy Chris Hemsworth’s wife in A Perfect Getaway. Beyond Hollywood though, Marley is married to producer Beau Flynn, and now they are parents to their second child. What’s even cooler than Marley giving birth is that she’s given a great name — Ruby — to her baby. I love that name! It’s old-fashioned but unusual enough to seem fresh and modern at the same time, and it’s not weird like a lot of celebrity names (all apologies to Jessica Simpson). Like I tweeted yesterday, most celebrities pick either completely quirky names or default to Ava or Jackson with no middle ground. But Ruby is a perfect name, and here’s the details from Us Weekly:

Marley Shelton

The girls are taking over!

Decoding Annie Parker actress Marley Shelton and her husband, producer Beau Flynn, have welcomed their second daughter, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.

Born on Tuesday, Ruby joins big sister West, 2 1/2.

Confirming their pregnancy in November 2011, Shelton and Flynn, who produced Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, married in 2001.

[From Us Magazine]

So how about these photos of Marley in February at the premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island? She looked the very definition of “glowing pregnant lady,” and the dress is very, very pretty for a maternity style. When I was pregnant, I wore a lot of dresses (with leggings) but certainly nothing as cute as this. Congratulations to Marley and Beau on their new arrival!

Peaches Geldof, 23, gave birth to baby boy Astala Cohen this week

Goodness, Peaches Geldof’s pregnancy went by in a flash, didn’t it? Peaches gave birth to a baby boy at some point over the past few days – maybe Thursday or Friday? The announcement just says “this week” – Peaches said before that she was due on her late mother’s birthday, April 24, so I guess the baby just wanted to come out a little bit early. Peaches and her fiancé Thomas Cohen named their son Astala… which sounds like a name from Lord of the Rings or The Chronicles of Narnia. Or both. I think Peaches’ pregnancy seemed to go by so quickly because she and Thomas only announced it in January, when she was already well into her second trimester. Plus, Peaches wasn’t bashing us over the head with pregnancy TMI – she and Thomas did a Hello Magazine cover interview, and she’s been tweeting about stuff here and there, but it’s not like Jessica Simpson’s TMI Pregnancy Extravaganza. Speaking of, Jessica is STILL pregnant. Everybody is having their babies but Jessica. Here’s more about Peaches:

British socialite Peaches Geldof, the daughter of Live Aid founder Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, gave birth to a son Astala.

“Yes, it’s true – I’M A MUMMY!!!!” the 23-year-old model wrote on Twitter Saturday. The baby, with fiance Thomas Cohen, lead singer of the band S.C.U.M, is her first.

She added later: “My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum’s finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X”

Cohen, 20, also shared the news on Twitter: “I’m a dad he is the most perfect thing ever so proud of his beautiful mum @peaches_g and overcome with joy x.”

Geldof, who’s full name is Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof, revealed her son’s a similarly long moniker (Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof) to Hello magazine a few weeks ago.

At 19 she made news for marrying Max Drummey, frontman of the band Chester French, in Las Vegas. They announced their separation shortly after.

[From Us Weekly]

Congrats to Peaches, Thomas and little Astala. I wonder how you abbrieviate that name? “Asty”? Tala? Peaches turned 23 years old last month – her mom, the late Paula Yates, was having babies early too. Some days, I see a lot of Paula in Peaches. I wonder if Bob Geldof sees it too – probably. But right now, Bob is probably just thrilled to be a grandpa.
