Did Tracy Anderson look particularly Botox-y during yesterday’s ‘GMA’ segment?

Tracy Anderson had a big segment on Good Morning America yesterday, which sucks for the world. I consider her a snake-oil saleswoman, a con artist, a grifter, a fraud coasting on the names of her A-list clientele. Some of what Tracy says makes sense, and I’m sure some of it “works”. But as I always point out, it would be difficult for a 1000-calorie-a-day diet and a six-day workout schedule a week to NOT work, you know? I understand that Tracy is a trainer and that’s why she’s so incredibly focused on how her clients’ bodies look at the expense of all other factors, but at the end of the day… she just sounds like a superficial a—hole. And hilariously enough, The Mail is picking her apart for looking like a Botox Monster in this video:

Do you see Botox? I think she looks incredibly fake and older than her years (she claims to be 37 years old right now), but I’m not sure if she looks different – in a Botox way – in this video. Isn’t this how she always looks? Anyway, the whole point of this segment seems to be Tracy shilling her “Pregnancy Project” by using her association with Kim Kardashian. I really wonder how Gwyneth Paltrow (Tracy’s business partner) feels about Tracy’s association with Kim? Hm.

Fitness trainer to the stars, Tracy Anderson, appears to have taken her Hollywood look too far. Responsible for the post-baby bodies of Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and now Kim Kardashian, the 37-year-old seems to have gotten too caught up in Tinseltown’s extreme beauty standards.

Speaking on GMA this morning, Ms Anderson appeared overly orange from a possible fake tan faux pas, her bleached-damaged hair looked almost yellow and although she has never admitted to undergoing plastic surgery, her plump lips appeared less than natural.

Ms Anderson is well known for her six days a week, an hour a day, ‘for the rest of your life,’ intense fitness regimes, and has specialized in the removal of post-baby weight since she gained and lost 25kgs during her first pregnancy. And having remodeled half of Hollywood (Ms Anderson has a long list of other celebrity clients – including men – whose names she won’t reveal), it seems the A-list’s image-obsessed culture may have rubbed off of the pint-size trainer.

The mother-of-two, who gave birth to a daughter with husband Matt Mogol in May, filmed her new DVD series, The Pregnancy Project, while she was pregnant herself. The trainer, who says she has a better body now that before she gave birth, caused controversy after she told the Guardian last year that no woman should have saggy arms, or poor skin tone.

‘It’s good for your body to train all the time, it keeps you young. Who wants to get old? That is part of my inspiration and it is going to end up helping so many other people,’ she said.

Speaking to GMA, Ms Anderson said of new client Kim Kardashian, 32, who is expecting her first child in June with boyfriend Kanye West: ‘Everybody’s going to be watching her right after the pregnancy. She’ll be back. ‘

She added: ‘There’s a hormone that’s in our bodies to help our hips and everything change shape. We can keep things awake and alert and connected. That’s what the pregnant project is all about. That stays in our bodies. We can use that to our advantage to get our bodies back if we keep things awake.’

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova credited Ms Anderson for helping her get back in shape after her pregnancy in 2010, telling W magazine: ‘She’s a working mom like me and she understands that, and understands a woman’s body.’

[From The Mail]

Yeah. Do you want to look like Tracy Anderson? Her body looks tight, for sure, but I wouldn’t have the willpower or the desire to undergo Tracy’s system, especially since I’m not convinced she’s doing it correctly. But beyond her body… goodness, I like my own (fat!) face too much. I would not want to look like her at all. And that’s the problem, isn’t it?

Tracy in October 2012 – her face looks the same to me!

Nicole Kidman is made of lies: ‘I did try Botox… but now I am completely natural’

Nicole Kidman has been on a lot of red carpets this month, to varying degrees of “success”. Like, I think some of her gowns and dresses and suits this month have been really good choices (for her) and I especially loved her Vivienne Westwood gown at the SAGs. But once you look beyond the fashion, you still have to deal with Nicole’s face. Her face used to be gorgeous – some would say it still is gorgeous. Some would say that you can still see the remnants of beauty if only Nicole would stop with the “extras”. The “extras” are anybody’s guess. My guess is Botox in her forehead, fillers in her cheeks, lip augmentation, and what’s consistently shocking to me because no one ever acknowledges it, a boob job. A very noticeable boob job. We can debate WHAT Nicole is doing, but is it even possible to debate IF she’s doing it at this point? Well, apparently we must because Nicole just dropped a giant “bitch please” on everybody:

She may have sparked speculation over her never ending youthful looks. While sometimes her more ‘frozen’ features have caused rumours she could be undergoing cosmetic procedures. But now Nicole Kidman has spoken out to insist she is currently completely natural – although she has tried Botox before and disliked the outcome.

The 42-year-old actress – who is married to fellow Australian Keith Urban – has tried the wrinkle-smoothing injections but she now plans to avoid them in the future as she likes having control over her facial expressions.

She told Italian newspaper La Repubblica: ‘No surgery for me; I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.’

Nicole can soon be seen in Park Chan-wook’s psychological horror film ‘Stoker’ in which she portrays Evelyn Stoker, a mother who is jealous of her daughter India Stoker (Mia Wasikowska).

The Hollywood star – who also has two children Isabella, 20, and 17-year-old Connor, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise – admits it was tough to play the character because her love for her kids is so strong.

She said: ‘I was a huge fan of Park Chan-wook, I wanted to work with him and with Mia, who’s Australian like me. It was an incredible experience. I play the part of a mother who hates her daughter. It couldn’t be further from how I am; nothing matters to me more than my children.’

Although she experimented with Botox, Nicole sticks to a healthy eating plan and rigorous exercise regime to stay looking good.

She said: ‘I am completely natural. I wear sunscreen, I don’t smoke and I take care of myself, and I am proud to say that. Anybody can do anything to themselves – I don’t judge – but personally I believe in being physically fit. That’s how I was raised. I can’t go in the sun because I’m fair-skinned. It was a nightmare when I was younger but it has its benefits now.’

[From The Mail]

OMG. Does she really think we’ll buy this? That she “tried Botox” (which I think she’s copped to before) but that she’s completely and totally all natural right now? Girl, we can see your fake boobs. We can see your lip plumpers. We can see that your forehead is STRAINING to show even a slight motion. Maybe she’s not technically using “Botox” and she thinks a semantic argument is going to be her lifesaver?

Hilary Duff got her lips done, and they’re really obvious: does she realize?

I live on the East Coast in a rural area, so my friends are less likely to get Botox, fillers and plastic surgery. People are pretty casual here and they rarely go in for injectables. I do have friends that have done Botox, but generally they take it easy and it’s not that noticeable. That’s all a preface to this story about Hilary Duff’s very obvious new lips. I like Hilary so I’m trying to rationalize this for her as a kind of cultural thing. Like what looks ridiculous and over the top to us is actually how a lot of Hollywood women end up looking, and her friends may have convinced her that this would be worth it.

I know, from past celebrities with terrible slug lips, that this will probably settle for her at some point and not look as joker-like. As long as she just got a jab and not one of those Lisa Rinna or Taylor Armstrong lip implants, she should be ok. For now, though, it’s looking really painful and obvious.

Once last year I got my eyebrows done and the hairdresser totally botched it. She made them tiny and black and I was mortified. (I’ve surely told this story before, forgive me.) So I got some Jolen facial bleaching cream to undo the damage from the awful eyebrow dye, and I bought a bunch of powders and eyebrow pencils to fill them in. Before I figured out what to do with my eyebrows, I was mortified and didn’t want to leave the house. (They’re back to normal now, thanks for asking.)

So what I want to know is if Hilary feels super embarrassed and is just making the best of a bad situation or if she thinks she looks good. From far away she looks ok, but up close not so much. If she knows how obvious her new lips are, props to her for leaving the house and being like “I have to deal with it and cannot hide.”

Also, she looks great otherwise.

Hat tip to Celebslam for pointing this out

Jennifer Lopez: ‘My skin is still really good… I’ve never had Botox’

All of us here on the Eastern seaboard of America are experiencing what is being referred to as “the coldest week of the year”. Here in Virginia, the highs are supposed to reach 15 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow, I think. I’m mentioning this because it’s supposed to be freezing ass freezing in New York City, and this was how Jennifer Lopez was dressed for her media rounds yesterday. A leopard-print miniskirt, a thin jacket and thigh-high Louboutin boots. How does she not have frostbite?

Jennifer went into the Good Morning America studios, where I guess she did an interview to promote Parker, her latest film. Oh… I was going to bitch about not being able to find any coverage, but I found the interview. But I can’t embed it, so you just have to go here to see it. She’s complaining about how much she works and how tired she is. Oh, and she compares Parker to OUT OF SIGHT. For the love of God. NOOOOO.

I like her purple dress, but I still worry about how cold she must be. And seriously, her hair is looking awful these days. I used to love her hair, but it looks over-processed and like she needs to stop doing so much to it. Jennifer was recently discussing how it is that she looks so good at the age of 43, and she said: “I never drank or smoked, and it’s really paying off now because my skin is still really good with moisturizing and getting good sleep… I’ve never had Botox or any of those things. But when I need to, maybe I will.” Do you think she’s really Botox free? I think she might be right now, but I bet she’s gotten ‘toxed in the past.

Here’s the Parker trailer. It looks like something I would watch on cable, only I would turn it off half-way through because I figured out what was going to happen.

Nicole Kidman in white Oscar de la Renta for a pre-Globes party: lovely or frozen?

Nicole Kidman arrived in LA a few days ago, and the way the paparazzi treated her arrival at the airport, you’d think that Nicole was some kind of major contender during the awards season. Oddly enough, there was such a weird chance that she WOULD be an Oscar contender – Nicole scored both Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her peeing-on-Efron role in The Paperboy. Is Nicole Kidman the kind of actress who gets nominated for simply showing up in a film at this point? Is she at that level? You know who is at that level? Meryl Streep. Maybe Dame Judi Dench. But that’s about it. But no matter how many times I cry “WTF?” about Nicole’s nominations, I’m actually happy that Nicole will be present during the awards season. Just because of fashion… and Botox-face.

Speaking of, here’s a little preview of Nicole’s Golden Globe appearance tonight. Last night (Saturday), Nicole was the main A-list guest at the ‘Gold Meets Golden’ event at The Lounge. Nic wore this rather fantastic Oscar de la Renta suit (the shoes are Nicholas Kirkwood) which is occasion-appropriate and lovely. Keith Urban was there too, looking the same as always. I’m not going to harp on and on about it because I know some of you are die-hard Kidman-loonies, but dear God, THE BOTOX. You know she just got re-frozen for the Globes too. Her face looks freshly jacked. Ugh. She doesn’t need to do this.

Guess who else was at the same event? Stacy Keibler! She wore a Prabal Gurung dress which I’m not crazy about, but I think that’s just because Stacy is one of those girls… those girls who make designer clothes look cheap. It’s a gift. Something nice: her hair is improving.

Stacy Keibler doesn’t want George Clooney to know she’s been hitting the Botox

Stacy Keibler was a hot mess when she first became George Clooney’s girlfriend. Well, she wasn’t a total disaster – she seemed like a tomboy who was more comfortable in sweats and poly-blends, hanging out at the gym and going out for a liquor-soaked party once a week. When Clooney got a hold of her, suddenly she had a dozen people telling her how to do her hair, what to wear, how to pose, how to speak, what her makeup should look like, and probably much, much more.

Stacy’s first few months as Clooney’s Official Girl were kind of rough, style-wise, as she found her footing. I still don’t think she’s very good at any of this, but there have been some improvements, and maybe the rest of it is a calculated risk – she doesn’t want to look too girlish or youthful, she doesn’t want to over-emphasize her 33 years (?) compared to George’s 51 years. She wants to look like his equal, sort of. Which means she sometimes publicly errs on the side of matronly or fussy or too conservative at times, and Vegas-showgirl-trashy other times. It still doesn’t work, by the way – she almost always looks like Clooney’s daughter, and yet… I have to admit, I think she looks older than 32.

But the real question: is she Botoxing? In Touch Weekly says she is.

Stacy Keibler has quite the poker face.

“For a while now, she’s been sneaking around behind George Clooney’s back and getting Botox treatments,” reveals an insider close to Stacy, 33. “Stacy doesn’t want George to know because he hates plastic surgery on women. Stacy thinks she looks pretty good for someone in her thirties and says there are some things George doesn’t need to know. Her Botox is one of them!”

[From In Touch Weekly, print edition]

Do you think Clooney gives a sh-t if his girls ‘Tox? I don’t think he cares. I mean, he doesn’t want his Official Girl to look like a frozen Botox-Monster (which is perhaps why he never really got with Nicole Kidman?), but I doubt he would care if his girl got some little tweaks here and there. After all, his farewell gifts to some of his girls are implants – he doesn’t have a problem with plastic surgery or any of that, is what I’m saying.

But I could understand if Stacy still wants to keep it from him. She probably doesn’t know what will set him off and make him send her packing. She wants to keep her “easy, breezy” façade as long as possible.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 3 premiere party: who looks the most tweaked?

I really didn’t know how else to phrase that title, since looking at these photos from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere was like a progressive slideshow of plastic surgery disasters. That’s how I’ll structure this story I guess. To start we have Camille Grammer, who has had a ton of work done to her face, looking like the most natural mannequin in the window. (Camille will make guest appearances this season but she’s not an official cast member.) Even the random new women, and there are a couple new ones in this maudlin cast of characters, are all squinty and botoxy looking. That’s Beverly Hills I guess, but I would love to see someone who looks somewhat “natural.” It’s not happening with this group.

Lisa Vanderpump has had some good work done, but she’s so obviously “done.” Look at Giggy’s little tuxedo! I wonder if Lisa was annoyed that Giggy got pawed by Honey Boo Boo.

Brandi Glanville fitting right in. She looks pretty and I like her hair.

This is a new castmember, a former model named Yolanda H. Foster. (She has some tangential connection to “Princes of Malibu,” you can read about that here.)

Kim and Kyle Richards. I can’t with these two. Kyle should never pull her hair back. She looks like an alien in a 90s softcore film.

Along those same lines we have another new castmember named Marisa Zanuck. She’s a real estate agent who appeared on “Selling LA” on HGTV.

Here’s the estranged wife of a plastic surgeon, Adrienne Maloof, and she’s not even the worst example here, although that’s arguable. Maybe I’m just used to her looking like this.

Finally, poor Taylor Armstrong. Too many fillers. Those giant caterpillar eyelashes aren’t doing her any favors, either. Still, it’s nice to see her looking happy. Check out her ridiculous two-tone emerald gown with an asymmetric feather bustline and matchy shoes.

Here’s a trailer for the upcoming season, which premieres Monday, November 5th at 9pm. Hollywood Life has a breakdown of the plot points in the trailer if you’re interested. It’s going to be a mess. I always suspect that the big dramatic parts (Adrienne’s divorce, Ken’s hospitalization) are real, but that they stage a lot of the fights and incidents. Still, I don’t think these women are good enough actresses not to actually hate each other anyway. Ditto for their husbands.

Kate Gosselin explains her pulled face: “I am one of the rare few who de-age”

Remember when Kate Gosselin wouldn’t cop to Botox even when her face was looking pulled and her eyes were all wonky? She’s still not admitting she uses it, and laughably claims also that her face “de-ages” in some way that has nothing to do with the expensive treatments she still gets despite her waning fame. I’m sure her boobs just inflate on their own and those horse teeth grew naturally overnight. Have a glass of watery delusion to wash down that dry slice of narcissism. Kate also denies dating the bodyguard, who is still in her employ.

What’s the secret to Kate Gosselin’s youthful appearance? It’s not a much-buzzed about facelift, as the 37-year-old single mom of eight explains.

“I am probably one of the rare few who de-age,” Gosselin — who welcomed sextuplets in 2004 — told Bravo’s Andy Cohen during an appearance last week on Watch What Happens Live. Cohen wondered aloud about Gosselin’s potential enhancement after he showed off a “vintage” picture of Gosselin famously taken three days after she welcomed her babies with ex-husband Jon.

Calling the period shortly after giving birth to Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, now 8, “the roughest time ever,” former TLC reality star Gosselin reasoned that after having six babies at once, “you have to get better, right? You can’t get worse than that.” (Her sextuplets joined twins Cara and Maddy, now 12.)

Though she played coy on WWHL about recent cosmetic enhancements, sources tell Us Weekly Gosselin — who got a tummy tuck in 2007 and breast implants in 2009 — frequently enjoys tanning sessions and even gave herself a dose of Botox injections.

A busy mom tending to her kids as they return to school this fall, the Pennsylvania-based CouponCabin.com blogger admitted to Cohen that she’s not in a relationship — and definitely not dating her bodyguard. “I’m single! Still [and] always,” Gosselin demurred on WWHL, laughing off that reports that she was coupled up with longtime bodyguard Steve Neild.

“Because [in] my job as a single parent to provide for eight kids, my safety is imperative to them,” Gosselin said, justifying Neild’s constant presence. “I’m not going to give out [past horror] stories, but it’s warranted for sure. He keeps them safe.”

[From US Magazine]

I watched the video of Kate’s interview, which is below, and Kate’s lame excuses are worse than US lets on. Andy Cohen asks Kate (at 5:10) “what did you have done, what is different?” and she says “probably 40 pounds, for a start. That was probably 3 days after I had sextuplets. I am probably one of the rare few who de-age.” Mmmhmmm. She’s also bad at denying she’s dating the bodyguard, who was there with her at the time. (that’s at 7:00.) She says “They [the rumors] have still not died, but it’s just a good story.” I wonder what she’s paying him now.

Here’s that video of Kate on Watch What Happens Live. Her forehead doesn’t move at all. Kate discusses her looks at about 5:10. Morgan Fairchild also made some dubious claims about how she credits “clean living, no drinking, no smoking, no drugs” to her looks. Obviously that’s not the case. (That’s at 7:10 into the video.) I have to say Kate’s body looks great.

Does 60-year-old Liam Neeson look subtly tweaked to anyone else?

Is it just me, or does Liam Neeson look absolutely amazing in these photos from the Deauville Film Festival? Liam was at Deauville to promote Taken 2 (the sequel to his surprise hit film, Taken, obviously) and to receive a special tribute for his career. But let’s just talk about how Liam looks for a second – first off, don’t yell at me! Y’all know I love Liam to pieces. But I do have to ask: did Liam get tweaked? A few people theorized last year (I think?) that Liam had gotten some work done, but I chose not to believe it. But now I’m wondering. His eyes…his skin… the general health and vigor to his appearance… he looks incredibly young for a 60 year old man. I’m even thinking… maybe some fillers? Or is that just weight gain? His face looks very “full”. Whatever, y’all. I’d still hit it.

Back to Deauville and why Liam was there… THR had an excellent piece with Liam, and he explained his late-in-life transformation into an action star. He also talked about the “sexiness” of having more women work on film crews:

Liam Neeson on Friday told a press conference at the 38th Annual Deauville American Film Festival why he enjoys working with French crews and why he has as of late been drawn to action movies. The 60-year-old is the subject of a special tribute at the festival this year. His fellow honorees include Harvey Keitel, Paula Wagner, William Friedkin, Salma Hayek, Melvin van Peebles and John Williams.

Neeson has received his greatest acclaim in films like 1993’s Schindler’s List, which earned him Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations and on stage in Tony-nominated roles in Eugene O’Neill’s Anna Christie and Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, or Woody Allen’s Husbands and Wives.

So his late-career turn to popcorn fare and action—in such films as Clash of the Titans, Battleship, The A-Team, Taken and now Taken 2 – has caused some head-scratching. Neeson explained at Friday’s press conference for Taken 2, the sequel to the surprise 2010 hit Taken, that the genre answers a special call.

“[Action] appeals to the little boy inside of me,” he said. “There’s a wonderful release that comes with that physicality. The lovely thing about doing Taken 2 is there’s quite a lot of action, but then there were wonderful days that were just acting with [co-stars] Maggie Grace or Famke Janssen. They were almost luxurious because you had no physical stuff to do and could just act.”

Laughing when saying that “60 is the new 40,” Neeson said: “I keep pretty fit as a rule, but for these two films, you have to increase the push-ups and sit-ups, let’s put it that way.”

Neeson has said previously that he took the part of retired CIA agent Bryan Mills in Taken, even though he assumed the film would go straight to video, because he wanted to film in France. Though the sequel takes place in Istanbul, it was helmed by French director Olivier Megaton (Colombiana, Transporter 3), whose crew was a special delight to the actor.

“There is an energy and dynamism with a French crew that’s very sexy and attractive,” Neeson said. “British and American crews are generally 80 percent male, but it seems like 40 to 45 percent of French crews are female, and that’s terrific.”

Such girl power sympathies don’t necessarily extend to his taste in genres though. “I’m not interested in a rom-com,” he chuckled. “But I’m open. It always gets back to good writing and good directors.”

[From The Hollywood Reporter]

It’s nice that Liam is so accepting of more women doing behind-the-scenes work in films. I hope his feminism extends to working with more female directors, producers and writers too. As for his “60 is the new 40” statement… could his youthful transformation simply be the waning grief process and the benefits of his younger girlfriend? Last I heard, Liam is still dating 30-something Freya St. Johnston, although I haven’t heard much about them in months and months. Hm.

Is Duchess Kate getting fillers & Botox, or is her transformation all-natural?

I mentioned this story yesterday, but why not devote a post to it separately now that I’ve gotten a chance to read the whole little story in In Touch Weekly? ITW has some kind of Botox expert willing to go on the record saying that he thinks Duchess Kate is full of Botox and fillers. Now… I’m not trying to start a Kate Flame-War, honestly. But I think there’s a little something to this. I personally think that Kate had some subtle work done before she and William even got engaged – a little eye work, maybe something tucked around her jawline. Around late 2010, she definitely began to look more “chiseled” and cheekbone-y, and there was a noticeable difference around her eyes. It’s not the worst thing ever – mostly because I do think it was subtle and very well-done, and it genuinely improved her appearance. But that’s not what ITW is focusing on now – this guy claims Kate is chock full of fillers and that it’s happened recently:

Kate Middleton was ready for her close-ups at the Summer Olympics, where her radiant smile drew almost as much attention as the athletes she cheered on. Did she get some cosmetic reinforcement for the occasion?

“It appears she had fillers done,” New York-based Dr. Robert A. Guida tells In Touch. Guida, who hasn’t worked with the Duchess of Cambridge, 30, says he suspects Botox and laser resurfacing came into play. Regardless, he isn’t arguing with the results! Says the doc: “Her skin looks fuller and very fresh.”

[From In Touch Weekly, print edition]

CB and I were debating the “Does Kate Botox?” issue a few months ago, I remember. There were some photos of Kate taken from a weird angle (like, half-profile), and she looked painfully ‘Toxed. But then a few weeks later, she didn’t look frozen at all, which might mean that IF Kate is getting something done, it’s something temporary like Botox or whatever.

Of course, there are non-invasive reasons that we could cite too – weight fluctuations, grooming, makeup, etc. For what it’s worth, I do think all of those things have contributed to Kate’s larger “makeover”. She’s taking better care of her skin, her eyebrows are hyper-groomed nowadays, and her face lost the “puppy fat” of her early and mid-20s. Still… I think there probably is some ‘Toxing and filler-ing going on.

PS… Can we talk about her old hair versus her new hair? She’s totally wearing weaves and extensions and hairpieces. For the love of God.
