Star: Jennifer Aniston & Bradley Cooper, ‘It’s On!’

starmagazine

Star Magazine wants us to know that after their date last Thursday, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Aniston are, and I quote, “on! on! on!” And so it begins. Allegedly, Jennifer and Bradley have known each other for a few years, and they were both in He’s Just Not That Into You (although they had no scenes together from what I’ve heard). There have been rumors about the two of them floating around since last year, but they got louder when Bradley and Jennifer were seen cozying up to each other at a screening a couple of months ago. After that, Bradley denied the rumors. Which made it weirder when he and Jennifer went to dinner last week. Maybe Bradley saw the coverage of the rumors and said, “Hey, me and Aniston. That’s not a bad idea.”

Which brings us to the Star cover story. Star’s online article doesn’t have a lot of meat, they’re just basically saying that they went out, had a good time, and that Aniston is “really excited” about Bradley, and that they have a “connection”. More breaking news: at dinner, they were holding hands! Gasp! Also, Star had a “typo” identifying Aniston as “30”. Don’t worry, I fixed it. In addition to that “mistake”, I’m pretty sure Star’s cover photo of Bradley and Aniston is an old picture of Aniston and Brad Pitt, with Cooper’s head photoshopped on. Oh, it’s on! on! on! bitches.

Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper are on! on! on!

Days after sharing a romantic dinner together at Il Cantinori restaurant in Manhattan, Star has the scoop on the budding romance, including how Jen’s been bubbling to pals that she’s just so into the breakout star of the mega-smash movie The Hangover!

“Jen is really excited,” an insider says in our July 6 cover story. “She feels a connection to Bradley.”

That was clear during their June 18 dinner date. Throughout the three-hour meal, Jennifer, 40, and Bradley, 34, shared food and wine, laughed at one another’s jokes and acted like two kids falling in love. “I went over to say hi to them, and I noticed they were holding hands under the table because they let go to shake my hand,” an eyewitness at the exclusive restaurant tells Star.

While the idea of romancing Jen could be overwhelming for some potential suitors — after all, the ex-Mrs. Brad Pitt’s heartache is so legendary that even she makes fun of her relationship history — Bradley could be the right man for the job.

“Bradley knows that Jen comes with a lot of baggage,” says a source. “But he’s not denying he has feelings for her.”

[From Star Magazine]

“Bradley knows that Jen comes with a lot of baggage” is the understatement of the year. That being said, I’m kind of enjoying the tabloid press on this chrysalis of a relationship. It’s been nothing short of glowing – just yesterday, People Magazine fell all over itself talking about what a catch Bradley Cooper is. I agreed with CB partially on that one – I thought the coverage seemed written like a publicist’s press release, but to be fair, People does that all of the time. What I found fishy was the timing – but I suppose People, Star and the others are just thrilled they have someone new to connect Aniston with. The other stuff was getting pretty tedious.

Oh, and by the way – Bradley Cooper was photographed having lunch with a “mystery girl” on Monday. Some are billing this as “Bradley Cooper is a womanizer” or “Bradley Cooper already dumped Aniston” but I wouldn’t dare. Hey, perhaps the mystery girl is just a friend. Aniston could be just a friend too.

People Mag’s suspicious profile of Aniston’s new man Bradley Cooper

31878pcn_aniston06
Jennifer Aniston is thought to be dating tousled hair up-and-coming actor Bradley Cooper. They were spotted out at a romantic dinner in New York last week. People Magazine confirmed their date with a piece about how they were both dog lovers and should get along well. In May, Cooper denied dating his co-star Aniston, saying he’d only met her three times but that his mom enjoyed reading about his fictional romance in the tabloids. The two were first linked way back in August, 2007 before they started shooting He’s Just Not That Into You. Stories in the celebrity press make it seem like things are moving along nicely for them after they got acquainted doing press for their film.

Many of you were skeptical of Cooper and Aniston’s supposed new romance and said it had the whiff of a publicity stunt. Now People Magazine has a strange piece on Cooper that makes him out to be an all-around great catch. It reads like something his manager would put out to raise his profile. He cooks, speaks French, and is a college graduate who loves his adopted dogs. What a man:

The hot star of this summer’s breakout comedy The Hangover is catching the eye of just about everyone in Hollywood, including Jennifer Aniston, who went on a date with actor on June 18. But there’s more to Cooper than just good looks and a sense of humor. Here are five things you need to know about the rising star:

1. He likes a down-to-earth woman: The actor recently took Jennifer Aniston on a late-night date, has been previously linked to Cameron Diaz and was briefly married to actress Jennifer Esposito. As for what quality he looks for in a partner, he has said: “Give me an authentic woman, and I’m happy.”

2. He has two rescue dogs: “I have two beautiful dogs that I cherish. Samson is a 14-year-old German short hair pointer and Charlotte is a 6 or 7 year-old Chow Retriever mix. They are both rescue dogs and they are the best … I’m sort of a hybrid of both my dogs. Samson is stoic and makes me earn it and Charlotte loves me undyingly. They’re my kids.”

3. He graduated from Georgetown University: “I loved the college experience of studying. I was very grateful to be there … I applied out of high school and I didn’t get in, and then I applied as a transfer and got in,” says the actor who graduated from the school’s honors English program in 1997. “I felt honored to be there, so I worked my ass off. The whole time I was there I thought I wasn’t smart enough so I felt like I had to.”

4. He is fluent in French: “When I was a kid, I remember watching Chariots of Fire. And French is the official language of the Olympics. So there’s a scene where a guy was speaking French and I thought, ‘Man, that sounds so cool. I want to learn French.’ ”

5. He’s a master in the kitchen: “I seriously love to cook … My grandmother was an amazing cook. As a kid I used to help her make handmade pasta, Cavatelli and Ravioli. It was one of my favorite things to do. I love the idea of making whatever is in the fridge into something.”

[From People]

What the hell is that? Maybe People runs these type of stories in their magazine with the “sexiest men alive” issues, but this is over the top. I was willing to believe that Aniston was legitimately moving on after her relationship with John Mayer predictably crashed and burned, but it looks like someone’s publicist got a little too greedy. Way to be obvious – first confirm the date to People Magazine and then run a fluff piece about what a great guy your client is. If this is a real romance for these two, and it’s doubtful, it looks like Cooper and his people are milking the situation for as much PR as possible. They way it’s going down makes it all look staged, though. I usually don’t think that way but it’s hard to come to any other conclusion when you read crap like this. The question is – is Aniston complicit in this or is she getting duped?

Why would People run of profile of Bradley Cooper like this? I can’t see them calling up his manager and asking a bunch of personal questions about him to reach some rosy conclusion. The two authors credited with the article, Lisa Ingrassia and Paul Chi, have plenty of other stories on People’s website that seem like regular celebrity coverage. It’s of course possible that there’s a natural interest in Cooper since he’s been connected with Aniston but instinct tells me there’s more to it than that. This is just too strange.

Jennifer Aniston & Bradley Cooper go to dinner

baster filmset 150509

Last night, Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper were spotted exiting a restaurant in New York, having most likely enjoyed a nice dinner together at the Italian joint Il Cantinori. People is describing the dinner as “cozy” and the setting as “romantic”. As far as confirmed dates that we have actually proof of, I think this might be Jennifer’s first date since she and John Mayer broke up in March.

The rumors about Jennifer and Bradley started back in May, when Page Six reported that the two He’s Just Not That Into You co-stars were spotted laughing, talking and flirting at a premiere. The rumors percolated for a few days before Bradley denied they were dating, saying that he’d only met Jennifer something like “three times”.

Let the rumors resume! Several weeks after Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper reportedly flirted at a party for her movie Management, the pair enjoyed a cozy late-night dinner at the romantic Italian restaurant Il Cantinori in Manhattan on Thursday.

“It was a date,” says a source. “She is taking it slow. She is obviously looking for love, but is not about to rush into anything.”

When the two met up earlier this spring, pals of both dismissed romance rumors. “I am single,” Cooper, 34, the star of the box-office smash The Hangover, recently told PEOPLE, saying that he found the rumors linking himself to Aniston “flattering.”

He added that he’s looking “for humor, great personality, intelligence, inner and outer beauty” in a woman. The one must? “She has to like my dogs [Samson and Charlotte]. My dogs and I come in a package.”

That shouldn’t be a problem for Aniston, 40, a canine lover with two dogs of her own, Norman and Dolly. The actress spent most of the spring shooting the romantic comedy The Baster in New York, while also getting past her March split with John Mayer.

“Jen is moving on with her life like she always does,” says a source. “She seems happy.”

[From People]

They do have a lot in common – good hair, dogs, and now Italian food. Another weird coincidence is that Jennifer (Aniston) has an ex-husband named Bradley (Pitt) and Bradley (Cooper) has an ex-wife named Jennifer (Esposito). If one of Cooper’s dogs was named Norman, they would definitely have to get married. As it is, how cute is it that one of Bradley’s dogs is named Charlotte? That’s such a sweet name for a dog, but it’s so girly. I wonder if Bradley named her or if she was named but some long-gone ex-girlfriend.

Bradley Cooper denies dating Jennifer Aniston: I’ve met her three times

anistonbradleycooper
Actor Bradley Cooper says he’s not dating Jennifer Aniston, but hints that his mom is more than happy to read about his fictional romance in the tabloids. As for where the rumors started, he says “I’ve met her three times in my life.” These two were first linked back in August, 2007, when they were seen having dinner together before filming started for He’s Just Not That Into You. Despite starring in separate vignettes in the same movie, they haven’t had many run-ins, Cooper maintains, and they’re definitely not dating. They were also supposedly seen “flirting” after the premiere for Aniston’s movie that opened this weekend, Management, but maybe they were just exchanging pleasantries like people usually do when they know each other casually:

Bradley Cooper has the approval of his family for his rumored romance with Jennifer Aniston. The only problem: he and Jennifer Aniston aren’t dating.

Despite reports this week linking him to the Friends star, the rumors are far from true, says Cooper, 34.

“I met her 3 times in my life,” Cooper, soon to star in The Hangover with Heather Graham, told PEOPLE in Las Vegas Friday at a charity poker tournament at Caesars Palace. “I’m very flattered.”

“My mom loves it, but unfortunately it’s not true,” says Cooper, who split with actress Jennifer Esposito after four months of marriage in 2007.

[From People]

I was kind of hoping Aniston had a new boyfriend that keeps quiet about their relationship and is happy just to spend time with her without broadcasting it to the world. Cooper is adamant that they’re not together, though, which almost rules out the possibility that they’re seeing each other on the sly. Whoever Aniston ends up with, or if she ends up happily single, we’re rooting for her.

Aniston’s quirky romcom Management was out in limited release this weekend, where it ended up 16th at the box office, taking in $1,783 per theater, which is low for an opening weekend. It’s receiving mixed reviews with only a 53% aggregate critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Some critics say that it tries to makes stalking seem romantic while other say it’s cute and endearing. Here’s the trailer. It looks bad to me.

Jennifer Aniston is probably hooking up with Bradley Cooper

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston seems to have several men coming and going, if you believe the tabloid reports from the past few weeks. So, really, the “Jennifer Aniston” that the tabloids have made up has men coming and going. First, Jennifer was rumored to be hooking up with Gerard Butler in New York. Then Gerard abruptly left for an Indian booty call - with the Bollywood starlet he’s been dating off and on for several months, Priyanka Chopra. After that, the rumor morphed into the old stand-by, Brad Pitt. As in, “Brad Pitt leaves Angelina, runs back to Jennifer’s waiting arms” et cetera. Some people don’t buy that, some do. Whatever.

Now it seems the “Jennifer Aniston” tabloid creation might be getting some on the sly from none other than Bradley Cooper. If you don’t know Cooper, he was in Alias, He’s Just Not That Into You, Wedding Crashers, and a dozen other films where he usually plays the supportive friend or the buddy of one of the leads. He’s being promoted lately as the next big leading man (for comedies, not dramas), which may work. Bradley went to the premiere of Jennifer’s film Management, and Aniston was seen flirting with him quite blatantly – in front of his ex-wife, Jennifer Esposito!

JENNIFER Aniston and Bradley Cooper sure did act strangely at Tuesday’s party for Aniston’s new flick, “Management,” at Table 8.

First, Cooper attempted to bypass the red carpet by wearing a hat and sunglasses. After he made it in, he and Aniston flirted up a storm while Cooper’s ex, Jennifer Esposito, angrily drank Svedka near the bar and refused to enter the main room.

“Bradley and Jennifer [Aniston] were definitely into each other,” says a partygoer. “She kept touching his chest and whispering in his ear.”

The pair left 10 minutes apart, after Cooper bizarrely changed out of a white button-down shirt into a blue one.

[From Page Six]

Though I’m not Jennifer’s biggest fan, I think it would both hilarious and apt if she ended up with a guy named “Bradley”. There are lots of jokes to be made about that, so I’ll let you guys take care of that in the comments. I was really pissed when I though Aniston was trying to get with my boyfriend Gerard Butler, but I’m rather ambivalent about Bradley Cooper. My mom’s going to get upset, though. Bradley Cooper is one of her imaginary boyfriends. She’s loved him ever since she got the Alias box set.

If you want to die of saccharine, try reading Cindy Adams’ column today – it’s all about how Jennifer Aniston and her mother have reconciled, and everything’s rosy between them. Methinks the Aniston public relations team overshot the mark with that one – it’s so obvious a plant.

Aniston is shown at the Cinema Society’s screening of “Management” on Monday in NYC. Cooper is shown at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 22nd in Manhattan. Images thanks to PR Photos.com.

“He’s Just Not That Into You” premiere photos

fp_1865463_rij_notthat_into
The stars were out for the premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You in Hollywood last night. Many of the female stars made risky outfit choices, with the exception of Jennifer Aniston, who donned a underwhelming black low-cut tuxedo suit with gold chains.

Drew Barrymore was goofy-looking in a short cocktail gown with a poofy bow on the bodice and her hair in a ponytail.

Scarlett Johansson wore a pink strapless down with giant flowers on it. It looked like a curtain print to me.

Jennifer Connolly showed off her legs in a very short green sequined dress with jeweled gladiator heels that seemed more like a holiday outfit.

Ginnifer Goodwin looked gorgeous in a short orange cocktail dress with a bold necklace and matching strappy heels. I love her hair and makeup.

Jenna Fischer is one of my favorite celebrities, but I’d like to see her get a new stylist. Her navy blue and black dress is too plain.

The guys goofed around on the red carpet, with Bradley Cooper giving Justin Long a hug. Kevin Connolly and Ben Affleck were both dapper in suits and were sporting some facial stubble.

He’s Just Not That Into You is out in the US this Friday, February 6. Here’s the trailer. It looks like a cute, fast-paced movie, and I usually enjoy movies like this with multiple sub plots. We’ll have to see how it does at the box office.

Thanks to Fame Pictures for these photos.

Kevin Connolly says it’s ok to break up through text message

Kevin Connolly of the hit television series Entourage grabs a bi

Extra! has a video interview (link leads to video) with the male stars of the upcoming film He’s Just Not That Into You, and like their femal co-stars you can tell they have a great camaraderie and have fun together. Ben Affleck, Justin Long, Kevin Connolly and Bradley Cooper joked around and laughed at some of the questions, with married man Affleck and known ladies man Connolly giving the most revealing answers when it comes to how they use modern technology to keep in touch with the opposite sex:

Affleck admitted he keeps in touch with wife Jennifer Garner via text message — and that’s how Jen keeps the father of two in check! “I correspond with my wife that way,” Ben said, laughing. “She’s like, ‘Get over here. Pick this s*** up! It’s time for you to go get our daughter!’”

Ben didn’t initially raise his hand when asked if he was romantic, but later admits he’s a sucker for romance. “I’m definitely romantic. I didn’t raise my hand because I didn’t want to be the guy who started talking about how romantic he was on TV. I wanted to dodge that bullet and I did dodge it.”

Co-star Kevin Connolly chimed in when the conversation turned to breaking up — using modern technology! When the men were asked if it’s okay to end things via text message, the “Entourage” star joked, “Oh yeah. That’s the best way.”

As for playing hard to get, Justin Long exclaimed, “Yeah, Connolly does. You play the game.” Kevin responded, “I don’t play hard to get. I’m very easy to get.”

[From Extratv, link leads to video]

It’s hard to tell from the video if Connolly is saying that text messaging is the best way to break up or keep in touch. Hopefully he’s at least sort-of joking if he says it’s the best way to break up. Have you ever called it off with someone in a text message or e-mail or been the recipient of one? It seems cruel to say the last, but it’s certainly easier for the dumper if not the dumpee.

This movie looks like a lot of fun even though it’s likely to be predictable. I enjoy films that are made up of a lot of different stories pieced together, even if they can feel rushed – like Love Actually – they’re often worth seeing.

Here’s Kevin Connolly grabbing a bite to eat in West Hollywood on the 13th. Images thanks to Splash.

Jennifer Aniston has a new tabloid boyfriend and he’s named Brad

Jennifer Aniston has been linked with her costar Bradley Cooper after the two had dinner together. They’re going to work on the film He’s Just Not That Into You, which has not started filming yet, and had dinner at Bradley’s house after being asked to meet by producer Drew Barrymore. Bradley is single, and his wife divorced him last year five months into their marriage.

Star Magazine is saying these two are a couple, but I think all they know is that they had dinner together and that Bradley is single too. That’s enough to declare them a couple, but I say it sounds like a “get to know you” business dinner considering that they’re about work on a film together.

They’re playing up the fact that Both Brad and Jen have exes named – Brad and Jen:

Star has learned that Jen, 38, recently enjoyed a romantic dinner with the handsome hottie [Bradley Cooper] who’s just 32 and newly single…

Actress Jennifer Esposito filed for divorce [from Bradley] last May, a mere five months after they wed. “He was devastated, says a friend. “But that’s all in the past now. He’s Jen’s new Brad, and she’s his new Jen!”

The cozy costars et at Bradley’s Brentwood, CA, home, thanks to mutual friend and matchmaker Drew Barrymore. A coproducer of He’s Just Not That Into You, Drew desperately wanted Jen to do the film. But the former Friends star was reluctant to sign on.

“Drew pushed, and Jen finally agreed to meet with Bradley,” says the source. “Jen wanted it quiet and low-key, so he invited her to his house, and it was great. Brad lit some candles and made dinner. He’s a good cook. They made a good connection. She loved his house, loved his dogs and most importantly, loved talking to him.”

[From Star Magazine print edition, September 3, 2007]

The way they describe it, Drew Barrymore wanted Jen to meet with Bradley so she’d agree to do the film, not to set them up. If single Aniston has dinner with anyone the tabloids are all over it, and this is no exception. Add the fact that the guy is single and also had dogs and they’re practically married by tabloid standards.

Still, Aniston met Vince Vaughn on set and could possibly fall in love with another costar. In Hollywood it happens all the time, and Aniston has both benefited and been famously screwed over by the phenomenon. Maybe this time it will work out in her favor again. Bradley Cooper is super cute and doesn’t seem like a player like her last boyfriend, British model Paul Sculfor. If there is anything going on there he seems like a good choice for Jen.

Bradley Cooper is shown at the Failure To Launch premiere on 3/8/06. Aniston is clutching her award at the People’s Choice Awards on 1/9/07. Thanks to PRPhotos.
