Jolie-Pitt Fetus Update: African arrival

Now that Jolie’s ailing mother is back in France with her pregnant daughter, the media can’t speculate if the baby will be born in the states or France anymore, so they’ve decided to change the venue entirely.

This story sounds so fake it’s laughable, but Jolie is said to want to have the baby in Africa now so that she can continue working for the UN until her baby is born:

Angelina Jolie is set to give birth in Africa, it has been claimed.

The pregnant star and lover Brad Pitt will stay at a private lodge in Namibia, south west Africa, while they wait for their new arrival.

They have allegedly planned to have their child there so Angelina - a UN goodwill ambassador - can carry on working for the organisation throughout her pregnancy.

A source told Britain’s News of the World newspaper: “They’ve fallen in love with Africa and want to help as much as they can over there.

“Angelina has completely changed from her old partying days and she takes her UN responsibilities very seriously.”

Last month, it was rumoured Angelina - who adopted her daughter Zahara from Africa last year - was planning to give birth in France as a tribute to her dying mother.

Jolie can work for the UN remotely and this doesn’t seem likely. Someone probably made up this story.

Brad and Angelina may or may not be fighting

Star Magazine reports that Brad and Angelina are fighting. This news seems old and cobbled together, and reminds us of the “Angelina’s pissed off about Brad’s drinking” story that was made up based on pictures published of the couple:

In fact, on March 20, the day after his visit to L’Avenue, the couple had a quarrel that ended with Angelina taking Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 14 months, and storming out of their rented Paris apartment for four hours…

“Brad said they argued about getting married,” a source tells Star. “He said she refused point-blank to set a date, and told him that if he kept pushing her it would be over forever. Then she left with the kids. When she returned that night, [March 20th] she refused to discuss it. She just told him, ‘Forget about it, OK!’ But Brad worries Ã¢â‚¬â€ and the more worried he gets, the angrier Angelina gets. He said she’s so passionate, she explodes and then disappears until she calms down Ã¢â‚¬â€ and they can never discuss things rationally or calmly.”

Who would the source be for this story? It could be their help, that’s always possible, but you think they’d be savvy enough to get rid of people who sell stories to the tabloids.

We don’t buy it.

A more plausible story is that Angelina has flown her ailing mother out to Paris to be there for the birth of her baby, which is said to be due on May 18th.

A source said: “Angelina is very close to her mother and she so wanted her to be there for the birth.

“Angelina has been having regular check-ups at a hospital in Paris and it is expected that she will give birth within the next few weeks.”

This is good news, and solves the conflict Angelina was facing between honoring her mother’s wishes by having the baby in her native France vs. giving birth in the states so that her mother can spend time with the baby. It also probably gives the Jolie-Pitts a little more space from the ever-present paparrazi.

Jennifer Aniston wants to channel her bitterness into another loveless marriage

Like everyone else, we assumed that the Jolie-Pitts were flying back to the states when they were photographed three days ago at the airport. That’s why we didn’t publish these pictures of Brad flying in Nice when we came across them earlier today - we assumed they were old.

It turns out that the famous couple flew to the south of France and that the unexpected venue afforded the Jolie-Pitts a precious few days out of the spotlight. These photos are of Brad flying yesterday.

Speculation is rampant that bitter Jennifer Aniston may beat her ex to the altar, and that Oprah will host the wedding!

Jen and Vince may actually beat Brangelina to the altar! “Jen has told Vince she’s ready to get married,” reveals a friend of the Aniston family.

“She just wants to be Vince’s bride - today, tomorrow, next week. She’s told him to name the day. As long as that day comes soon, that is.”

Life & Style Weekly cites a source that believes that Jen & Vince may be married before the release of their summer film opens.

And despite the sneaky way that Aniston got Oprah to endorse James Fry’s lousy psuedo-memoir (to promote the hoped-for film, for which Aniston owns the movie rights), Oprah has agreed to host Aniston’s wedding at her estate. Aniston reportedly wants a huge lavish affair to show the world how utterly petty and wasteful she can be. (She also probably can’t have the thing at her house since it’s overrun with rabbits.)

No matter what she does or who she attaches herself to, you can be sure that Aniston won’t be happy.

Did Pitt call Aniston to warn her about a wedding?

Life & Style says that Pitt called Aniston to warn her to prepare for news of the couple’s wedding.

Phoning Jen from France [On March 14], [Brad] informed his ex that he was planning to get married again very soon.

“Jen had asked Brad to let her know so she could prepare personally and publicly for the media attention,” says a friend of Jen’s.

“But she asked that he spare her the details, and the call lasted less than three minutes.”

If this is true, and we doubt it, it may mean that the Jolie-Pitts were planning to get married at some point, somewhere - or that they did already get married and managed to hide it. If only they were friends of Chloe Sevigny, we could be assured that this is true.

The Jolie-Pitt clan traveled back to the States today. It looks like Angelina’s mother won’t get her dying wish to have her grandchild born in France, but with Jolie you never can tell.

Jolie-Pitt Rumor Roundup

Another day brings more non-stories about the Jolie-Pitts. The latest:

Jolie and Pitt are already married. Yes, we’ve heard this one before, but this time the incoherent Ted Casablanca is reporting it and attributes the news to a “supertight source.”

Pitt is having second thoughts about marrying/having married Angelina Jolie. He’s tired of living in Paris and is annoyed at Jolie’s late-pregnancy moodiness. This is not a very meaty story, and contains information that is could be easily made up based on the couple’s situation and recent pictures of Pitt.

Star says that Pitt is begging Anglina to slow down and quit flying in the last months of her pregnancy. This is not surprising, but it seems to have a ring of truth:

“Brad has point blank begged Angelina to stop flying planes, solo or otherwise,” the source says. “But at this point he realizes there is nothing he can do- she will do whatever she wants.” Another source tells Star, “Brad says he’s confused.”

“Hopping around Europe in private planes is fun but it’s the last thing he imagined he’d be doing in the weeks leading up to the baby’s birth.”

“He’s had to tell Angelina to slow down.”

There haven’t been any photos of Angelina flying this week, so maybe Brad’s requests were taken seriously by the world’s sexiest pregnant woman.

We’re sure that more news about Pitt and Jolie will be published tomorrow.

The Jolie-Pitts might be normal like us

Brad is said to be pissing off Angelina with his frequent drinking. Someone probably made this story up after seeing the pictures of Brad having dinner in Paris with some American friends on Monday night.

A source tells the weekly magazine ‘Celebrity Living’ that Angelina Jolie has “had enough of Brad’s drinking.”

The report cites the source that tells the tabloid, “He has a few drinks each night to end each day.”

But apparently Brad is taking it too far. Jolie can’t drink- she seven months preggers and reports say she is moody. So - according to the item in the weekly magazine - she also doesn’t want to see Brad drinking every night as the report suggests.

“She’s getting a little tired of seeing him slumped on the couch night-after night,” the insider claims.

Not only is Brad drinking too much for Angelina’s taste, he was photographed smoking out the window of the couple’s Paris apartment this weekend.

The Sun also reports that Brad was looking rough on Monday and needs to clean up his look.

As we learned from the Lake Como wedding debacle, the media just makes shit up about Brad and Angelina so that we have something to whet our palate every day. So take this latest news for what it is - an attempt to bring the world’s hottest couple down to our miserable level.

Where in the world is the Jolie-Pitt fetus?

Since the wedding speculation is over for now, the media is focusing on the Jolie-Pitt fetus and where and when it will first emerge.

The Sun says that Jolie will have the baby in France to honor her mother, Marcheline Betrand, who is French. Bertrand has uterine cancer that is thought to be terminal and is convalescing in Beverly Hills.

A source states the obvious:

“Angelina is torn between wanting to be close to her gravely-ill mum in America and respecting her wishes by having the baby in France. She adores her mother and wants more than anything for her to be around to see her firstborn.

Angelina takes her mom’s advice on when to have the baby, too:

“We planned on having the baby right near my birthday, June 4. My mom suggested it,” Angelina Jolie was quoted as saying.

“She’s really into astrology and thought it would be great to have a Gemini like me.”

Only a very powerful woman can tell Jolie and Pitt when to have sex. If Betrand’s wishes come true the baby will be the right sign and nationality.

We hope that Angelina’s mother is comfortable in her illness and that she gets to spend time plenty of time with one of the world’s most anticipated babies.

A newborn may change the Jolie-Pitt family dynamic, but for now Maddox is the number one celebrity child.

The Pitt-Jolie paparrazi-tourism merger

So nothing happened this weekend in the Italian region of Lake Como, just like we said about three times. Clooney is always right, and he denied knowing anything about a wedding a while ago. He also said he wasn’t that tight with Pitt.

The poor residents of the area where it was supposed to go down were all worked up for no reason. They did get to cash in on the notoriety of the non-event, though:

The mayor of Cernobbio was feeling a little frayed. “We are at the end of our rope,” wailed the town spokesman, Giuseppe Salvioni, after a weekend in which the waters of Lake Como frothed with paparazzi, pranksters, helicopters and police launches.

Primed for “official duties”, Mayor Simona Saladini had put on her best clothes, had her hair done in the local salon and kept the registry office open for an extra five hours, until 6pm on Saturday. It appeared, however, that she had been strung along. The mayor, local residents, curious tourists and 200 journalists were cruelly jilted at the altar when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie failed to get married at the Italian resort.

There was no cancellation of the union of “Brangelina” and it was unclear whether the world’s most famous divorcees had been joined together in another hip European playground of the rich and famous, whether they had wearied of the wedding or whether they had ever intended to get married in the first place.

We think it was all a rumor to drum up Italian tourism and the paparrazi business, although neither seemed to be suffering before.

The paparazzi get rich taking photos of themselves

Yesterday we reported that it looked like not much is going to happen with the latest Jolie-Pitt wedding rumors. TMZ reports that it doesn’t matter if the wedding actually happens, because the paparazzi are getting paid just for creating a stir:

TMZ would bet money that there will be no wedding this weekend, but here’s the irony. The paparazzi who are spreading the rumors are the ones actually cashing in.

TV shows and magazines are running stories on the rumored nuptials and buying photos from the paparazzi — photos of the paparazzi swarming the town!

So here’s the business model. Start a bogus rumor, then charge the media money for the pictures you take of the others who are also spreading the bogus rumor — Capitalism, ain’t it something?

Meanwhile USWeekly has one off live blogging from the non-event at Lake Como:

All of the hotels around Lake Como still have plenty of rooms available, and no famous guests have checked in. Fences have gone up around Clooney’s estate but probably due to renovations that are being done. The place is muddy and messy and doesn’t look like it’s about to host a wedding (no caterers, etc.) Usually, when he’s due into town, there are staff getting the mansion ready, changing flowers, gardening, and opening shutters, but this has not happened.

This reminds me of the google research frenzy I was in yesterday trying to dig up information on Gisele Bundchen’s new date. It turns out she was just having a business dinner. I so wanted to run that story and like to think that a few people would have repeated it.

Jolie-Pitt Rumor Report

Reports that Pitt and Jolie are marrying in Italy has Italian villiagers and reporters all in a tizzy. A local hotel is cleaning up in what is said to be preparation for the wedding. It sounds like a hoax to us:

Some speculate that local tourism operators invented the wedding rumors to fill up hotel rooms. But three elderly men having an early glass of wine in a bar down the road were convinced there was more to it.

“They are cleaning the village and tidying up everything, something is going to happen,” said Andrea, who declined to give his surname.

We reported a few days ago that the couple was said to be planning a wedding on a boat in the middle of Lake Como, but that we thought the story was pulled out of someone’s butt.

Other rumors include:
Brad Pitt’s family supposedly wants him to marry Angelina right away. They think Brad should secure his rights to the children should the couple break up.

And skinny Angie is said to be planning plastic surgery should she have trouble shaping up after the baby is born.

Even if she gains a few pounds or sags in places, she’s sure to remain the favorite pin-up of lesbians everywhere.
