We don’t usually cover British star-for-no-reason Katie Price, aka Jordan. She’s like the British Kim Kardashian in that she’s famous for having a sex tape, a reality show, putting out a bunch of merchandise with her name on it, selling her life story, and turning herself into a living plastic doll. (Jordan predates Kim, so maybe Jordan was Kim’s career inspiration, not Paris Hilton.)

Anyway Katie is trying to kick out her husband of all of 11 months, former adult film actor and professional cagefighter Alex Reid, but Reid is said to be staying put in another wing of the couple’s mansion. Apparently Katie is upset that Reid posed for a photo in which he appears to be training her five year-old son, Junior (with ex husband Peter Andre), to fight. He’s also said to have angered her by following her career path and cashing in on her “celebrity.” Katie called Andre a famewhore or something, as if that wasn’t obvious to her from the get-go, and is said to be seeking a divorce. The couple has no prenup, so of course money will be an issue. While Reid was initially trying to save the marriage, and plead his case to the press about how it was all a misunderstanding, it’s thought that he’s accepted that it’s over and is just trying to get the best payout. Katie’s first ex husband, Peter Andre, has of course chimed in:

JILTED Alex Reid yesterday taunted wife Jordan – telling her: “Give me £2million or I’ll NEVER move out.”

Alex, 35, insisted it would cost that much for him to walk away from their 11-month marriage.

The cage fighter’s demand, which would be part of a final divorce settlement, came as he received support from Jordan’s ex, Peter Andre.

The singer, 37, told a pal: “I actually feel sorry for Alex – she is obviously trying to make him look like the bad guy when it seems he loved her.”

The furious star spoke out after Jordan, 32 – real name Katie Price – said Alex was a “sponging Peter clone”. Meanwhile, a pal of Jordan’s claimed she had been left devastated by Alex’s request.

It came after he had agreed to move out and sign a gagging order stopping him from talking about their marriage.

Alex then made a last-minute U-turn after speaking to his family about what was on offer. Jordan’s friend said: “Most people haven’t seen Katie cry, but she was in fits after this call.

“Alex had finally agreed to release a statement about the end of their marriage and move out. He then went to the gym. Katie called him to see if he had run everything past his lawyers and he just started to laugh.

“Alex said he had changed his mind and that there was absolutely no way she was getting rid of him that easily.”

Last night cross-dresser Alex was again staying at Jordan’s mansion in Woldingham, Surrey, arriving at 11pm. Jordan is still living in the home – in a separate wing to Alex. She is said to have considered moving out, but her disabled son Harvey, seven, needs the home’s special facilities.

She claims Alex has made a fortune from their relationship – getting £200,000 for his own TV show and £75,000 for a magazine column.

Here’s the thing – this woman is getting more press for this divorce than she has in months if not years (since her last divorce) so she’ll ultimately profit from this breakup even if she has to give Alex a hefty settlement. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s playing up this whole controversy and marital trouble to earn more headlines.

Way back last year, summer of 2010. A pretty Mad Men star has her first brush with major tabloid notoriety when outlets report her involvement in a hit-and-run. January Jones only hit a tree, but she was allegedly drunk, and she walked to her home on foot, leaving the scene of the accident, returning minutes later having changed her clothes and chewing some new gum. Who shows up to support her in her hour of need? Celebrity chef Bobby Flay – the married man she had just hours before been having drinks with at a hotel bar, before they allegedly snuck off alone.

Around the same time, another rumor springs up – Jennifer Aniston has a new man, and they were conveniently spotted on a date and gossipy “sources” are all a buzz about this new guy and how he’s the new One. The rumor dies quickly, and when Jason Sudeikis is asked about in a national magazine, he quips that Aniston “should be so lucky” to date him.

Then, in a flash, January and Jason became a couple. Perhaps it was convenience. Perhaps he just prefers blondes with great racks. Perhaps she needed to change the subject after the Bobby Flay rumors. Perhaps, perhaps. Anyway, after about six months of dating, it’s over.

It’s the end of the road for January Jones and Jason Sudeikis.

The pair, who were first linked romantically last July, are calling it quits on their relationship, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

“They’ve been on and off for a few months and then the long distance kind of ended it,” the source says. “But they could get back together. It was just hard to stay together with the distance.”

Jones, who stars on Mad Men is based in Los Angeles, where AMC’s hit period drama is filmed. Sudeikis is part of the ensemble cast that puts on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, which films in New York City.

While I thought they were “meh” as a couple, I would have liked to see more of them out and about together. When I saw that January seemed to be flying solo at the Globes on Sunday, I had a brief moment of “I wonder why Jason isn’t with her” but I just figured he probably couldn’t get away from SNL. Anyway, it probably was just a PR hookup, something convenient for both of them to change the subject from Bobby Flay and Jennifer Aniston. Plus, I mean, January is a pretty blonde with big boobs and Jason probably loved that about her. She’s also dumb as a rock. Like, intensely stupid. So maybe we shouldn’t over-think this. She isn’t.

Last night I had the chance the read the whole Us Weekly cover story about Jake Gyllenhaal’s tragic phone-dumping of Taylor Swift. The piece is epic, and it sounds almost entirely one-sided, all sources coming from Team Swifty. Do you think all of Swifty’s little teenage friends call up Us Weekly and gossip about their friend? Or do you think the sources are from Team Swifty, Inc, making this tabloid story the official, business-transaction version of what happened? I don’t know, I really don’t. I no longer care about Swifty in general (I haven’t since the John Mayer stuff), but I don’t think she’s as devilish as many of you think. My take on her is that she truly is an immature, child-like girly-girl who throws everything she has at any guy who is mildly interested. I also think that at this point, that idea of her – “immature, child-like girly-girl” – has become her shtick, her marketing tool, her “Oh, gosh!” persona that helps her sell, sell, sell. Anyway, Us Weekly has released part of their cover story, and let’s just say, The Aniston is strong in this one. Swifty is hellbent on coming out of the Gyllenhaal relationship sounding like The Biggest Victim Ever.

She sure didn’t see it coming. When Jake Gyllenhaal dumped Taylor Swift over the phone just before New Year’s — ending their whirlwind two-month romance — Swift, 21, was completely blind-sided, multiple pals tell the new Us Weekly, out now.

“It was a 180-degree turn and so out of the blue,” a source tells Us of 30-year-old Gyllenhaal’s decision.

Explains another insider, “Jake just told her it wasn’t working out…Taylor is really upset and hurt. She doesn’t know what she did for him to put a stop to it. She feels really burned by him.”

Indeed, it was an about-face for the Love and Other Drugs actor, who was first to pursue Swift, asking his handlers in October to set them up; their first weekend together, he took her on an apple picking date in upstate New York and to a Saturday Night Live taping in NYC.

“Jake started this whole thing, but then he just stopped responding to her,” another source says.

The print edition has a lot more of the same stuff – “sources” wondering what Jake was playing at, inviting Swifty to spend time with his family, “sources” doing the “I told her so” thing about how Swifty was warned not to jump into the relationship headfirst. And yes, Us Weekly even goes into detail about how Swifty is working out like crazy now that she’s single, plus she’s dieting, plus eyewitnesses claimed she looked “super skinny” at the People’s Choice Awards. Another source tells Us Weekly: “She’s doing better now, but she’s still healing… she’s starting to learn to be more cautious with love. She realizes it’s all not a fairy tale.” POOR SWIFTY. I told you, The Aniston is strong in this one.

Well, it looks like the random reports just before Christmas were true – Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have broken up after more than five years together. Looks like that British sourcing (Richard Kay) was right on, like I said. Also… is this why Keira seems to squirrelly lately? Probably. Or it could be something else entirely. Anyway, Keira’s dad confirmed the sad news of the breakup to media outlets:

MOVIE beauty KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has split from her actor love RUPERT FRIEND after five years. The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 25, was left heartbroken even though the decision to end the relationship was mutual.

Keira’s father Will Knightley said: “Yes, they have broken up. But that’s the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things.”

Mr Knightley added at the family home in Richmond, South West London: “They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”

Keira met Rupert, 29, in 2005 on a screen adaptation of classic story Pride and Prejudice.
She became the most bankable British actress in America with Oscar and BAFTA nominations, a modelling contract with Chanel and an estimated £30million fortune.

But the pressure of being constantly in the public eye finally took its toll on the couple. Cracks started to appear in mid-December. Rupert arrived without Keira at the London Coliseum gala production of The Nutcracker. He took his mother Caroline instead.

The couple split after a heart-to-heart before Christmas. They had seemed to have a fairytale relationship with a London home overlooking Hyde Park.

But a pal said: “Rupert hates the idea of being followed and photographed. Keira partially had to accept it because of her rising profile. It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain life-long friends.”

Keira has theatre work and two movies planned.

Yeah, Rupert has been getting more and more work lately, and he’s becoming an in-demand actor in his own right. But I doubt competition for the public’s attention is the reason for the split – obviously, Keira doesn’t care about it. She’s surly about getting any attention whatsoever. Which makes it very strange that her dad was the one to talk to the press – was he selling her out (doubtful) or did she authorize him to speak on her behalf? Why? Why couldn’t Keira’s publicist just offer a brief confirmation of the split and be done with it? I get that Keira “hates” the press, but if she wants to be ignored, perhaps she could manage this stuff a bit better.

Our New Jennifer Aniston gets treated like crap by men too! According to Us Weekly (via LaineyGossip), Jake Gyllenhaal dumped Taylor Swift just before New Year’s… over the phone. JUST LIKE JOE JONAS. Is this the only thing Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal have in common? Discuss.

How Jakey dumped Swifty. It was over the phone. Just before New Year’s. I hope it was more than 27 seconds. That’s apparently how long it took for Joe Jonas to end things with her. On the phone too.

These are the details presented to us about the Jakey-Swifty break-up in the new issue of Us Weekly, with Taylor’s heartbreak on the cover. It’s a top seller. And pretty soon, she’ll have more than John Mayer in common with Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer, however, is much more experienced. And besides, Jennifer really isn’t looking for love. If only Jennifer could admit to the fact that she’s in it for a good f-ck. If only.

Taylor on the other hand at 21 is in love with love. So when Jakey pursued her, going through their agents to arrange a hook-up, of course it was like stars and rainbows. Jake of course has dimples and is delightful and hot. So it’s easy to blame her for being a dumbass.

But then again, he invited her to spent time with his family on Thanksgiving. She held hands with his niece. So… I don’t know… if I were analysing that over the phone and tears with a girlfriend post-split, that would have confounded me too. But if he wasn’t into me, why would he ask me to spend the holiday with him?

Us Weekly says now Swifty isn’t eating. She’s also supposedly working out like mad, to bury the pain, I guess, which will eventually transform itself into lyrical inspiration. Jake meanwhile is having dinner with buxom blondes. Because a player never stops playing.

Lainey is too kind to Jake. But yeah, I’ve been wondering that too – who comes out of the Jake-Swifty debacle looking worse? Is it Swifty because she’s such an immature little thing, and if she hadn’t gushed so much to everyone about Jake being the apple-picking, coffee-swirling love of her life, maybe he wouldn’t have bailed? Does Swifty look bad because people are now calling her “The New Aniston”? Or does Jake look bad because he dumped Swifty so quickly and so douchily? Does it make him look gay? Or, gayer? Personally, I think Jake looks worse coming out of it. Swifty is a child. We know that. Jake knew that, and he dated her anyway. And he looks like either: A) An older dude who likes much younger women who act like little girls or B) A gay dude who manipulated a young girl into a PR relationship, and who dumped her when the charade didn’t fool anyone.

Aw, this is sad news. Shakira and her boyfriend of 11 years, Antonio de la Rue, have broken up. Shakira announced the split in an open letter on her blog (read the full open letter here). Apparently, she and Antonio split over the summer as part of some kind of trial separation – or, as Shakira says, “a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship.” So fancy! Even though this is slightly surprising considering how long they’ve been together, there has been some gossip about a breakup for several months. People noticed that Shakira and Antonio were rarely together… and now we know why:

Shakira’s hips don’t lie, and neither does her heart. The Colombian singer, 33, revealed on her blog Monday that she and beau Antonio de la Rue called it quits last summer after 11 years of dating.

“Since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship,” she wrote. “Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private until now.”

However, Shakira, who called her romance with the investment banker “the most wonderful years of our lives” hinted that they could reconcile in the future.

“We view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth as we continue to be partners in our business and professional lives,” she wrote. “Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible.”

Adds an insider, “There was no big drama, it’s just one of those things where they had been together a long time and realized they were more friends and business partners than lovers. It’s sad, but they could get back together. They just needed a break.”

I’ve never really paid attention to Antonio, but now that I’ve actually looked up photos of him, can I point out something? He looks like the Latin Matthew Settle. Right? Matthew Settle is hot, so I’m down with the resemblance.

That didn’t take long, did it? People Magazine – PEOPLE MAG – is declaring Gaylord Jwifty/Jaylor/Whatever OVER. Meaning that it’s totally over if People Magazine is confirming that crap. They were together maybe two months, at most, although People’s source (likely Jake’s publicist) claims that the relationship “ended last month”. It was last month, mind you, that we were getting glowing reports about how Jake and Swifty and moved heaven and earth to be together for every occasion. Perhaps their relationship’s coffee sponsorship fell through, and they just decided to chuck the relationship? Perhaps Swifty was tired of Jake shrieking “GROSS!” when she tried to get him to touch her boob. Perhaps Swifty is still hung up on John Mayer’s white supremacist dong. All are solid possibilities.

“They’re over,” a source tells PEOPLE about the short-lived relationship. “It ended last month.”

No reason was given for a split, and the stars reps didn’t have immediate comment, but the two spent the holidays – and their birthdays – apart.

Swift, 21, rang in 2011 in Nashville, solo, at a party, while Gyllenhaal, 30, was in New York, where he attended a closing party for Broadway’s Fela! on Jan. 2. While in the Big Apple, Gyllenhaal was also spotted dining with his mother at the Spotted Pig.

After spending Thanksgiving weekend together, the two were last seen publicly together on Dec. 9 in Los Angeles.

Gyllenhaal and Swift were first spotted together in October backstage at Saturday Night Live – followed by a brunch in Brooklyn.

Yeah… here’s my theory: Jake’s PR team arranged the Swift relationship for him so that he could have a “girlfriend” for the promotion of Love & Other Drugs. I think Jake’s PR team worries about the gay rumors, too, and they thought (wrongly) that if they set him up with America’s Sweetheart, everyone would love it. The problem was that the relationship made Jake look like a skeezy jailbait-lover AT BEST, and at worst, even gayer than before, and in desperate need of a quality beard. Also, Swifty didn’t help matters either because she was also promoting her album (coincidence!), which is full of her completely normal, immature, 21-going-on-12 lyrics, including a song about John Mayer dicking her over. She looks AT BEST like a girl who pretends to be a pretty princess while getting boned by pond scum, and AT WORST… well, same difference.

Oh, and Swifty’s song about this debacle is going to be EPIC. I imagine it will be called “Dear Gaylord Pretty Pony Jag”.

UPDATE: Us Weekly must have gotten the call from Jake’s publicist too, because they just threw up another confirmation of the breakup, which apparently happened “just before New Year‘s Eve.” According to their sources, “Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he’s not acting as interested… He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got… He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn’t listen…Jake cares about her, but [the publicity] was a lot for him. He wants to keep his private life private, and that’s hard to do dating Taylor.” Yes, Jake is SO private. That’s why he and his publicist arranged for those “paparazzi” shots of Jake and Swifty wandering around New York together. That’s why his publicist dropped pieces into Us Weekly and People Magazine about Jake and Swifty’s dates. Because Jake is so private. Ugh, I kind of hate him now.

Last Thursday, I wrote about a seemingly random report from In Touch Weekly in which “sources” claimed that Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin had split up after six years together. When I happened to mention that while I liked them together as a couple, I genuinely thought Mila could do better… well, many of you got upset with me. So, I’m sorry about that. I apologize for suggesting that Mila, riding a career high that will likely see her getting an Oscar nomination, is in the midst of trading up. However, Page Six confirms the report than Mila and Mac did break up. They even got a confirmation from her rep:

Did Mila Kunis’ breakout role in “Black Swan” contribute to a breakup for the actress, who’s flirting with movie stardom? Kunis’ rep confirms that she and one-time child star Macaulay Culkin have gone their separate ways.

“The split was amicable, and they remain close friends,” her rep said. Kunis started dating Culkin seven years ago, when she starred as the snobby “Jackie” character in “That ’70s Show.”

A source said the couple split some time ago but has kept it low-key while Kunis promotes the movie.

Kate Hudson has been loved up with Muse’s Matthew Bellamy for much of the year. She jumped on him a couple of months after Alex Rodriguez dumped her, and, much like she does in every single relationship, Kate fell head over heels and began parading Matt around immediately. Well… maybe that’s unfair. They haven’t walked any red carpets together, and I’ve been feeling – especially in the past few months – that Kate is trying to keep this relationship slightly private. I think that because there’s aren’t a lot of recent photos of the two of them, but there may be another reason for that. According to Star Magazine, Matt is a little bit over Kate. To the point where he’s asked for a “break”.

Kate Hudson and her beau of seven months, Matthew Bellamy, were joined at the hip for most of the summer. But now the Muse vocalist is giving her a bit of the cold shoulder. Although the two have jet-setted together in Italy, England and New York, “He specifically asked Kate not to join him while he toured in Australia in early December,” an insider reveals.

“Matthew said he needed to focus while he was on the road, and Kate didn’t take that well. She thought everything was fine.”

Matthew tried to assure Kate, who spent her in time in LA with pals while the rocker was away, that he just wants a break, not a breakup.

“He explained that he needs a breather because he feels they jumped into things way too fast and that he does love her,” says the insider. “But Kate’s afraid he’s already checked out of the relationship.”

Yeah, it sounds like he’s trying to dump her. As soon as a guy starts saying junk like “I do love you, and that’s why I think we should spend less time together” he’s trying to find a way to dump you. Of course, we are talking about Kate Hudson, the woman who introduces one-night-stands to her parents and her son. I’m not trying to slut-shame her, I’m just saying that in general, Kate might want to take it down a notch. She tends to go overboard, so maybe it’s nothing.

Sad news, if it’s true. In Touch Weekly is reporting that Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin have called it quits after six years together. They were a really low-key couple, and they rarely walked red carpets together or anything like that, so I wonder if we’ll even hear a confirmation or a denial of this report either way. And even though it’s ITW, I still think this report could be true – Mila hasn’t mentioned Mac once during her Black Swan interviews, and they haven’t been spotted together (in candids, out and about) in a while. Could it be?

After six years together, Mila Kunis, 27, and former child star Macaulay Culkin have called it quits.

“They broke up a while ago but kept it quiet. They weren’t on the same page,” an insider tells In Touch. “Mac lives in New York, and she lives in LA, and since her career took off, it was too hard to keep the relationship going.”

I hate to say it, but Mila could do so much better. It kind of reminds me of Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe – Chad knew Hilary when her biggest credit was 90210, and then suddenly she’s an Oscar winner. While I don’t think Mila’s transformation into an A-list film actress will be that dramatic, Mac is still giving me Chad Lowe vibes. Oh well… I hope they’re both doing well if they have split. Now who should Mila be with? The rumor was going around that Justin Timberlake was trying to get up on her, but that Mila put a stop to it pretty quickly. So… she’s got a good head on her shoulders. Hopefully, she’ll find a non-douche.
