It is expected that Paul McCartney, 63, will announce that he and his wife of nearly four years, Heather Mills, 38, are separating:

Mills received surgery on her amputated leg three weeks ago, and has been staying at her East Sussex home with her sister as she recovers.

McCartney has been staying in another of his homes just 55 miles away, but has avoided his wife. The couple’s two year-old daughter has been chauffered back and forth between their two homes.

That’s sad news but maybe they’ll be able to reconcile for the sake of their daughter.

Update: McCartney and Mills have released a statement announcing the split. It’s pretty weak that they blame the press for their problems, though:

Cacee Cobb, Jessica Simpson’s closest friend and personal assistant for over two years, has moved on to other things. She celebrated her last day on the job May 7th:

A woman impersonating Cacee was arrested last summer after scoring nearly $12,000 in free stuff by capitalizing on Cacee’s association with Jessica Simpson:

Jessica seems to have replaced Cacee as a best friend with hairstylist Ken Paves. They’re photographed everywhere together.

Here’s a nearly ten-minute clip from Newlyweds featuring Cacee after she moved in briefly with Nick and Jessica. The best part is Jessica saying that male ballerinas are called “Ballerino,” the “masculine form” of the word.

People are saying that Cacee has hooked up with Nick Lachey, since she spent nearly a half hour talking to him at a club last week. They know each other well, and it doesn’t seem like it means much.

In the “please let this be true” department is a story that Britney is so unhappy in her marriage to Kevin Federline that she wants a divorce.

From Life and Style via The Scoop comes news that she threw out his booze and wants to surpise him with divorce papers:

That rocks! Britney seems to have found her strength again with recent public appearances for her perfume line and on Letterman, and it looks like she’s not going to take any more crap from Kevin.

She would be much better off raising two kids on her own than having to put up with him. Britney was said to be furious when Sean Preston fell off the couch while K-Fed was supposed to be watching him, and that may have helped her realize how useless her husband is.

Meanwhile Kevin is quoted as saying that he wants out of the relationship, too:

Britney recently refused to fund any more expensive trips to Vegas for K-Fed and his friends, showing that she’s finally ready to put her foot down.

It looks like the end for these two, and we can’t wait! Go Britney.

Jessica Simpson showed up at the ALMA awards yesterday with an orange dress, orange skin, and a new orange hairstyle. If Ken Paves is responsible, she should break up with him next. She seems to be suffering from Jennifer Love Hewitt spring fever and we hope she’ll go back to her trademark blonde hair soon. What color is her new hairdo anyway? (Thanks to Oh No They Didn’t for pointing her new hair out.)

Jessica is said to be pissed off at her less talented sister, Ashlee, for copying her look and getting a nose job that makes her more closely resemble Jessica. Maybe she’s trying to go for a more unique appearance. No one would want to copy this hairstyle, that’s for sure.

We were all excited about the “secret” dinner meeting and supposed hotel trysts between Jessica and her estranged husband, Nick Lachey. That may all be a rumor, just like most of the news we report. Jessica’s representative denies that there was a secret dinner, but admits that the former newlyweds still talk on the phone.

Jessica is also said to have cut all ties with Lachey, calling him “toxic” after his tell-all interview in Rolling Stone. In Jessica’s book, that probably means she’s not going to call him for a couple of days.

Stavros Niarchos showed up drunk at Paris Hilton’s house at 1:00 am on Monday morning begging her to take him back:

Paris was at Matt Leinart’s draft party on Tuesday so that means she was with her new guy one night, and her old one the next.

Matt Leinart may be hot but he’s not as rich as Stavros. Stavros inherited $275 million on his 21st birthday this month, while Leinart’s contract with the Arizona Cardinals is said to be worth around $12 million. He also has a new endorsement deal with Nike, so it’s not like he will be suffering.

Paris is playing the field wisely.

In the past few weeks, Lohan was said to be upset to find her fuck buddy Brett Ratner in bed with a gorgeous model, prompting a cat fight in Ratner’s driveway. She also was said to be dating Keira Knightly’s ex, Jamie Dornan. Plus, she just broke her foot. Can’t the girl slow down?

Actress Gillian Anderson and her husband of 16 months, documentary filmmaker Julian Ozanne, have broken up. They announced their pending divorce:

It’s sad that it didn’t work out for them. We took a while to report this as we were looking for these pictures of Anderson out with Ozanne last month. Thanks to “Hollywood Whore 2005″ on the JJB board for finding them so quickly for us.

We think that Anderson has a drinking problem and that may have contributed to her marital problems. She looks wasted in these pictures with her soon-to-be ex husband, and she also seemed drunk at a public appearance at the end of March.

Anderson suffered from drunken air rage in January, and reportedly told a man to pay more attention his wife who was struggling to take care of his son. She also fell down the stairs in her home two years ago, injuring her back. The accident took place in the middle of the night, and who falls down the stairs in the middle of the night when they’re sober?

Pauly Shore and Kylie Minogue dated for a short time after they met on the set of his 1997 movie, Biodome, which Minogue has called her “worst career move.” The two didn’t last once Minogue figured out who Shore was and went back to England, and Shore is still crying into his beer over it:

Even though it still breaks his heart, Pauly should be commended for being able to talk about it nine years later, just like Angelina Jolie’s ex, Jenny Shimizu.

Minogue is doing well as she recovers from breast cancer. She has written a comeback album called “Lessons” that should be out in 2007. She also plans to sing a duet with her boyfriend Olivier Martinez.

Shore had somewhat of a comeback with the indie flick “Pauly Shore is Dead” that came out in 2004, and a 2005 TBS reality show, Minding the Store that centered around Shore trying to run his family’s comedy club.

Shore is kissing Joey Lauren Adams in other picture, but it’s so small that it’s hard to tell. Shore is playing his 90s typecast slacker role while Minogue is a foreign scientist on the film. In a new interview in Rolling Stone Nick Lachey comes off as a real stand-up guy.

He says that he had trouble in his marriage with Jessica Simpson due to the way that they were typecast in their reality show “Newlyweds.” Lachey suggests that their roles as the ditzy blonde and the good guy influenced the way they interacted off screen.

He also reveals that Jessica’s decision to divorce was completely unexpeted and caught him off guard:

Nick cries when he talks about his marriage, saying he would have done anything to make it work:

He also says that he doesn’t understand Joe Simpson, Jessica and Ashley’s controlling father and manager, but does not blame him for his divorce, simply stating that Jessica “is a grown woman.” He says that Joe never liked him and was “an influence” in his marriage, but that he did not cause their split.

Lachey refuses to address the rumors that Simpson cheated on him while they were married. He says that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, whom Jessica dated up until a short while ago, approached him in a club to say that nothing happened between him and Jessica while they were married. Lachey says he believes him.

Despite reports to the contrary, he has refused to file for spousal support and says that he will not be suing Jessica for alimony!

And even more touching, he says he visited Jessica at her parents house and tried to win her back:

Lachey still has awkward conversations with Simpson on the phone every few days.

Lachey seems thoughful, gracious and introspective in the interview, refusing to blame Simpson for the divorce and never admitting her infidelity. Given his side of the story, it sounds to us like Simpson was too immature to deal with the normal problems in a long term relationship.

He is filming a new reality series for MTV that will focus on the making of his new album. After the responsible way he’s dealing with his divorce in the press, his career is sure to benefit.

At the end of last month, James Blunt was said to have cheated on his girlfriend, Camilla Boler, with British socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. Boer initially believed Blunt’s account that the rumor was untrue, but now that Palmer-Tomkinson has admitted the affair, Boler realizes she was taken for a fool and that Blunt really did cheat. In typical passive aggressive fashion, Blunt didn’t break up with Boler until he absolutely had to, and he did it over the phone:
