Megan Fox did something surprisingly nice for Veteran’s Day, which was Friday – she actually went out of her way to spend time with veterans. Seriously! Megan and her husband Brian Austin Green went to The Veterans’ Home of California – these are some photos from the visit. Considering that I can’t see that any major female celebrity actually did a something nice for veterans on Veteran’s Day, I have to say… good for Megan! That’s really nice of her.

It’s pretty smart too, if you want me to look beyond the face-value “that’s nice” sentiment. Megan and her team are trying to ensure that she mixes up her image from surly, petty, foot-in-mouth chick to “supporting actress with a solid career who does good works”. Oh, and there was a rumor going around that Megan and Brian were splitting up too, so two birds with one stone (or photo op).

Regardless of any ulterior motives, however, it was just really nice to visit with the retired soldiers. Well done, Megan. Also, well done on her appearance too – meaning her 2011 Face, which doesn’t look tweaked into oblivion in these candid shots. She’s also put on a little weight, which looks great on her. I feel like… she’s trying to win me over? Maybe at some point. Here’s hoping!

Last month, Shia LaBeouf admitted in a Details cover story that he and Megan Fox had some kind of affair while they were working together on one (or perhaps both) of the first two Transformers films. At some point, people were like, “Um, wasn’t Megan Fox still with Brian Austin Green when the Shia stuff went down?” To which some well-placed “source” went to Us Weekly and claimed that at the time of Shia and Megan’s hookup, Megan and BAG were on a break. Nevermind that Shia never detailed the exact time frame of his affair with Megan… or that Megan and BAG’s relationship, while at times off-and-on, seemed pretty “on” for most of the Transformers time frames. Nevermind that last year, when Brian was asked about the “off” periods in his relationship with Megan, Brian replied: “We’ve been together for six years. Find a picture of one of us with any other boyfriend or girlfriend—I challenge you. You’ll only find pictures of her doing press with Shia LaBeouf or me with my son. That’s it. We never once dated anyone else or did anything else.”

So, it’s looking more and more like Megan has some explaining to do to her husband. Thus, this story from OK! Magazine/Hollywood Life – Megan is holding on to her story that she and BAG were on a break BUT she’s still really pissed off at Shia. For why?

Shia LaBeouf admitted to hooking up with Megan Fox while she was on a break from Brian Austin Green and the couple isn’t happy he’s blabbing about it!

Although Shia LaBeouf is basking in the glory of the multi-million dollar blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon, he is not on good terms with his former Transformers star, Megan Fox, and her husband, Brian Austin Green, after revealing he hooked up with Megan while she and her soon-to-be husband were taking a break! Now OK! Magazine reports that the couple are fighting to save their marriage — at the expense of Shia’s friendship.

Megan and Brian have been dating on and off since 2004, however finally tied the knot in a discrete ceremony just one year ago. The couple took a break during Megan’s filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2008 — the same time when Shia recently admitted to engaging in a physical relationship with his co-star.

“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them…but the time I spent with Megan was our own thing…” LaBeouf reveals in the August issue of Details magazine.

Though now, OK! Magazine reports that Megan and Brian are desperately trying to save their marriage.

“He has really upset Megan and Brian,” a close source explains. “They went through an incredibly rocky period when she and Shia were filming Transofmers: Revenge of the Fallen…having Shia run his mouth now and brag about sleeping with Megan is awful for them.”

Though was it really cheating? “…technically [Megan] didn’t do anything wrong since they were on break. [Still], they are so angry at Shia.” We hope this love triangle dies out very soon!

Is it possible that Megan and BAG were on a break, and that’s when she and Shia boned, and Megan is just apologetic and upset because her former (secret) lover told the world that they boned in a most ungentlemanly fashion? Of course. But I still don’t know why that BAG quote from last year isn’t getting more play, and I think that whether or not there was technically a “break” somewhere in there and Megan is completely blameless, in BAG’s mind, he was Megan’s only love and he had no idea about Shia.

Now, will this whole scandal put a crimp in their marriage, long-term? I don’t know. After staying quiet and low-profile throughout the Transformers publicity tour in which her name was constantly being mentioned, Megan has come out of hiding with a series of public moves. There was that completely weird Facebook-Botox thing, and now here are some “candids” from the set of The Dictator, in which Megan has a small part (photos of Megan in blue). I’m not sure what she’s doing, but it’s interesting.

A few days ago, Details Magazine released their cover profile on Shia LaBeouf, and I have to say, they buried the lead. We get press releases from Details, and when we were sent the info on Shia’s cover, there was no blaring “BREAKING NEWS” alert that he was talking about how he and Megan Fox had some kind of affair/hookup on the set of one (both?) of the Transformers films. My point: Details buried the lead. I still love them and everything, but give us a giant “MEDIA ALERT” please. Anyway, if you’d like to review our coverage of Shia’s interview, go here. He confirmed something I suspected long ago: that he and Megan had something going on for a while, although Shia makes it sound like it was just an on-set hookup.

Anyway, Us Weekly has an interesting piece about the timeline of it – the hookup could have happened while Megan was still technically dating Brian Austin Green, and thus far, Megan hasn’t released any statements about Shia’s interview… directly. I think this may have originated from Team Fox though:

Yep, it’s true. In an instantly viral Details interview, Shia LaBeouf spoke at length about a supposed onset fling with Megan Fox, his former costar in the first two Transformers flicks.

“Yes, Megan and Shia hooked up,” a set source confirms to Us Weekly. In his Details chat, LaBeouf, 25, sputtered when asked if Fox was then involved with her now-husband Brian Austin Green during their tryst (he repeated “I don’t know” 12 times).

But the kissing costars are in the clear, the source says. “It was when Megan and Brian broke up,” the source explains. “They had a 10-month break before getting back together.” (Indeed, Fox and Green, 36, did have a break of nearly a year before reuniting and eventually tying the knot in June 2010.)

“[Shia and Megan] bonded while filming,” the source explains of the epic shoot, which was worsened by director Michael Bay’s rumored temper. “Believe me, that was an unhappy set. I think they were drawn together because it was so ugly working on that film.”

Although Bay has said that Fox was fired (at Steven Spielberg’s demand) from the flicks for public comments she made about him, “she was never fired,” the source insists. “She said enough was enough and quit.”

When pressed for specifics about this ten-month breakup, like when it began and when it ended, Megan’s rep looked at me blankly and then said, “Uh… I don’t know, when did Shia say he boned Megan? Go with that.”

And as for Brian Austin Green and what he thinks about all of this… am I the only one who remembers HIS interview in Details Magazine last year? Here’s the relevant portion:

Details: Your relationship [with Megan] was often described as on-again, off-again.
Brian Austin Green: We’ve been together for six years. Find a picture of one of us with any other boyfriend or girlfriend—I challenge you. You’ll only find pictures of her doing press with Shia LaBeouf or me with my son. That’s it. We never once dated anyone else or did anything else.

Fascinating. And it’s especially interesting that he name-checked Shia, right. But that was just “going press” – that’s probably what Megan said. Shia LaBeouf is totally a homewrecker.

Aren’t we lucky? Megan Fox’s 2011 Face has come out yet again! This time, she seems to have gotten a gig where she just stands around, posing with her mouth open, all for Jaguar. The event was for the 50th anniversary of Jaguar‘s E-Type, and I suspect that Megan got a nice fat paycheck to stand around looking vacant. She even got to bring Brian Austin Green, who is looking better and better, isn’t he? Anyway, The Mail says her dress is mint green, but in these photos it looks white, so who knows? I actually like the dress, a rarity when it comes to Megan’s sometimes tacky style. Here’s a bit more from The Mail:

There was certainly some impressive bodywork going on as Megan Fox turned out to support a Jaguar event in New York last night.

The cars on display were also looking suitably snazzy.

Transformers star Megan unveiled her own streamlined physique in a backless mint green dress as she turned out at a function put on by the motor firm to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type.

She was joined by her husband Brian Austin Green, who she posed with happily.

The Jaguar E-Type was once described as the ‘world’s most beautiful car’ by racing driver Enzo Ferrari, the late founder of the Ferrari Italian motor brand.

So it was only fitting, perhaps, that Megan – voted one of the most beautiful women in the world in various polls – was there to support the event.

Megan has recently finished filming the upcoming comedy Friends With Kids.

I wonder… is this what Megan’s career has come to? Getting paid to do these kinds of appearances? Even though her last film went nearly direct-to-DVD, I kind of thought Megan was still a somewhat in-demand actress, enough that she would be fine for money without having to do these kinds of events. Perhaps it’s both – she’s fine for money, her career is perhaps on track, but Jaguar still offered her a big enough paycheck that it was worth her while.

These are photos of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green at this weekend’s Long Beach Grand Prix Celebrity Pro Race. BAG is into racing and all of that stuff, and Megan is a good wife about supporting his interest. She usually comes out to cheer him on, which I think is nice. Despite my complaints about her, I think she really does adore BAG, and she puts a lot of effort into their relationship, you know? She’s not just phoning it in. She makes the effort to show up for him.

So now that I’ve said something nice, can I say something mean? First of all, I think we’re witnessing the debut of Megan’s Official 2011 Face. It’s new and improved! Not so much, actually. She was so much prettier several years ago, before all of the work. Look at her 2011 Nose – it doesn’t work on her face at all. Secondly, even though I think Megan came out to support her husband, the photos of her greeting him after the race are kind of ridiculous. Like, she knew the cameras were on her, so it’s like she was moving in slow motion in the music video in her head. Smile, pose. Embrace, pose. Look loving, pose. Kiss, pose. Still, they’re happy and good for them. BAG looks nice too. And I’m not going to say anything about Megan’s cutoffs. Meh. Her hair looks great, though.

Remember how I was wondering on Friday why Megan Fox is no longer ubiquitous? Yeah. Looks like Megan wants some attention after being quiet and low-key for a few months. Megan and Brian Austin Green are in Hawaii for the holidays, and Megan put on her smallest little black bikini for the paps – she’s also wearing her diamond ring, which Bauer-Griffin is noting for some reason. It does look very big in these pics, but I don’t see how that’s particularly notable. Only didn’t she “lose” it the last time she and BAG were in Hawaii? But the one that she lost was only two carats – this one looks much bigger. Also – I take off my jewelry when I swim, in the pool or the ocean. Doesn’t everyone?

Do you like how she’s posing for the cameras? I mean, I can’t blame her really. If someone was taking my photo while I was in a bikini, I would be using whatever I had to cover up. Megan’s got a lovely figure – athletic, slim, nice shape – but judging from where she has her hands, I think she’s probably a little self-conscious of her thighs. It happens to the best of us. But, The Daily Mail is making a big deal about how Megan looks “painfully thin” – however, to my eyes, she looks either the same as always, or like she might have put on a pound or two. She’s not emaciated. But I do think something wonky is happening with her boobs, which The Mail also talks about. Back in June, I wondered if she had gotten some recent implants, but now her bust looks slightly deflated. Thoughts?

These are some new photos of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green out and about in LA yesterday. These are the first new photos we’ve had of Megan in a while. And I’m just writing about these photos too – it’s not like there’s some new Fox interview, or some gigantic story about her today or anytime recently.

Which brings me to my question – is it just me, or has Megan Fox’s popularity and ubiquity faded just as quickly as it surged? For a few years there, every single dude was in agreement: Megan Fox was The Hottest Chick. And then *poof* she was gone. Not really “gone” but it just seems like dudes don’t really give a crap anymore. Is it because she left/got fired from Transformers? Is it because she wouldn’t stop saying dumb, ridiculous crap in every interview? Is it because she married BAG and now she’s no longer theoretically up for hot sex with randoms? Or is it because Megan was messing with her face so much that for her last promotional tour, she looked like a Gigantor-headed Botox Monster? All are solid possibilities.

I have to say this, though – I like that she’s not one of those girls who feels the need to pap themselves constantly (coughBilsonBosworthcough). I like that she’s been away from the public eye for a couple of months. I also like that, in these photos, she really dressed down and she also looks like she’s stopped messing with her face. BAG looks kind of hot too.

Also – Megan has been working. She’s currently filming Friends With Kids… working with JON HAMM. For the love of God. The film is written and directed by The Hamm’s lover Jennifer Westfeldt. Would you let Megan Fox around your man? What if your man was The Hamm? If I was with The Hamm, I would make him a dong-chastity belt.

Something weird happened at the Armani show in Milan yesterday. Two celebrity couples showed up, and my mind got blown. The first couple was George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis. They did their photo call with a lot of enthusiasm and overkill, and they brought the same vibe to their seats, front-row for the runway show. They were still all over each other, still touchy-feely and teenage-y. Like they’re so hot for each other. Like Eli is up for all of the kinky sh-t, and she’s even showed Clooney some new tricks. And just try to tell me Eli doesn’t look like a drag queen here:

Yeah. And then there was Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. Younger and much less demonstrative, less eager to prove, it seems. They looked like they were on their best behavior – probably, because being the crotch of Armani is one of Megan’s few paying gigs lately. Now, as you may remember, I’m a new fan of BAG. I think he’s a nice guy. And I’ve even started liking BAG and Megan together, where I didn’t before. But there is a compare-and-contrast between Fox/BAG and Clooney/Canalis.

Both BAG and Canalis are now famous for their more famous partners. Both Fox and Clooney aren’t doing their best work right now, and both like to play games with the press. There’s some compare and contrast between Eli and Megan too – it seems like Megan would be Clooney’s type as well, doesn’t it? Megan is the younger version of Eli, if Megan hadn’t met BAG and gotten married. I don’t know… just random thoughts to go with pretty photos. What would the world have done if Clooney had ended up with a girl like Megan? He did – it’s just that she’s a bit older than Megan and all of Eli’s stupidity is limited to the Italian press, so she doesn’t get as much sh-t.

So – who do you prefer? BAG/Fox or Clooney/Canalis? Or the would-be power couple of Fox/Clooney?

This report is likely totally bullsh-t, but I find it interesting. According to In Touch Weekly, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are already in marriage counseling. While you could say, “Damn, that was fast, they’re still newlyweds” the truth is that Megan and BAG have been together for something like seven years, and both of them are pretty honest that their relationship takes work – BAG even talked about their relationship struggles in his recent Details profile (in which I kind of fell for him, much to my dismay).

They’ve only been married for a couple of months, but Megan Fox, 24, and Brian Austin Green, 37, are already in marriage counseling.

According to a friend, they are having some trouble adjusting to life as husband and wife, so they deiced to be proactive about their problems and consult a therapist.

“It is the usual stuff about money, having kids and making each other the priority,” the friend explained. “They’re really pretty happy though and are in therapy to stay that way.”

So… it wouldn’t really shock me to learn they get outside help. What would shock me, however, is the idea that Megan is anywhere close to “getting” anything the shrink says. Can you imagine? Megan casually talking about how she’s “schizophrenic” as she does her porn star kissy-face and squeezes her boobs? That shrink is going to be like, “I think we need one-on-one sessions, four times a week.”

Brian Austin Green is interviewed in the new issue of Details Magazine (the one with The Hamm on the cover). Now, I’ve never really formed a full-fledged opinion of BAG as an adult. I thought he was ridiculously cheesy back in his 90210 days, and when he was all grown up and being the “silent partner” to Megan Fox, I often wondered if he was just as stupid as Megan, or if he was the kind of guy who liked to be with really insecure, dumb women because that’s the way he got his rocks off. But in this Details piece, BAG comes across as… nice. Likeable. Intelligent and interesting and a guy with sh-t to say. Granted, he’s not a brain surgeon or anything, but I wasn’t expecting to think he would be this nice and down-to-earth. The full Details piece is here – and here are some highlights:

Details: You were on the original Beverly Hills 90210 for 10 years—a show that defined America to the world.
Brian Austin Green: In a bright, flashy, horrible-hair kind of way. Let’s be honest.

Details: The hair didn’t seem as horrible at the time.
Brian Austin Green: I was just talking to the guy behind the bar, who said, “I used to love the original 90210 . . . the new one is not so good.” And my response is, “Of course not.” 90210 only worked because of that time period—because the world didn’t have access to a lifestyle like that. The Internet wasn’t what it is now. With TMZ and Paris Hilton wrecking cars and people being chased on freeways, there’s nothing interesting about Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is nothing anymore.

Details: Do the paparazzi hound you?
Brian Austin Green: It wasn’t so much of a problem before Megan, but once Transformers hit, that was it. I had never experienced paparazzi on that level, because during 90210 they were still developing pictures and selling them by hand. It was a whole different experience.

Details: Some of the glamour and magic of Hollywood has been eroded.
Brian Austin Green: As someone who still loves movies and television, I honestly don’t want to know what Mel Gibson is like at home. I want to watch Braveheart. I don’t want any of the personal stuff. I’m not saying Mel’s choices are the best—obviously not—but it’s a shame that no one will enjoy a Mel Gibson film in the same way again. Mel made a business out of being nuts on camera, out of his f-cking mind. And it’s like, what, do you expect him to be totally normal at home? It’s not possible.

Details: What was it like to be famous in the nineties?
Brian Austin Green: Car shows. Mall appearances. And Grad Nite at Disneyland. Times were simple then. But now—just today we had a guy in the grocery store with his camera phone videotaping us walking down the aisles. And there’s nothing I can do about it, other than take the guy’s phone and drive off with it. Then there’d be a video with a headline: STEALING CAMERAS? WHAT’S BECOME OF BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN? THE MARRIAGE MUST NOT BE GOING WELL. AND HE’S NOT WORKING MUCH LATELY.

Details: You’re on the new season of Desperate Housewives. How did you land that?
Brian Austin Green: I was in Hawaii on my honeymoon, and I got a call from my manager saying, “Marc Cherry wants to sit down with you. He’d like to have you read. Just a couple scenes.” I said, “Of course.” I’m not against auditioning. I audition for everything. The best parts you have to audition for. The ones that I’m offered are the ones like Megalodon 2: This Time It’s Personal.

Details: You play a buff contractor.
Brian Austin Green: Sweaty guy with a hammer. A lot of tank tops. I’ve got to say it’s a whole new world for me. I’ve never played a hunky guy. There was one day when I had to take my shirt off. I must have done 400 push-ups. I feel like I understand the pressure that women go through. I feel, like, all-woman at times.

Details: I hear that you’re actually pretty good with a hammer.
Brian Austin Green: I built a theater with a friend in Los Angeles, yeah. I spent months hanging drywall. I own a level, and I know how to use it. And I have a chalk line also. You might want to throw that in there.

Details: Does Megan tease you about this new ab-conscious role?
Brian Austin Green: She does. She busts my balls just enough to make me laugh and not feel self-conscious about what I’m doing. She’s good about it.

Details: You’ve married Megan Fox and turned her into a stepmom—not the role most of us imagine her in.
Brian Austin Green: She is absolutely my better half in parenting. She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating—you know, she was 18—she stepped in and took control. It’s unbelievable. At 18, I was like, “Hey, which club is open tonight? And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?”

Details: Was the nearly 13-year age difference a concern at any point?
Brian Austin Green: When we met, I had just separated from Kash’s mom and a relationship was the last thing on my mind. It’s not something I ever thought would be serious. But she brought out parts of me that I had lost in my last relationship. I had come off of 90210, and I never wanted to leave my house. I was afraid of the press. I was afraid of people’s opinions of me. I would walk into a Coffee Bean and not want to look the guy behind the counter in the eyes because I was afraid he was thinking, “Oh, that’s that ridiculous guy from 90210 who put out the hip-hop album.” Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence. And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched.

Brian Austin Green: You know, in the beginning, she didn’t really want to hear the comparisons, because it was her own crazy road, and it was overwhelming, and she wanted to figure it all out on her own. But now we sit and we share stories, and we’ve found the commonality of it all. It’s the most backwards, f-cked-up love story you’ve ever heard. And it worked. And the day that I said, “I do,” I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. And it was the absolute perfect start to what we hope will be an amazing life together.

Details: She’s a lot more famous than you are right now. Is that intimidating?
Brian Austin Green: I know the normal male thing is the man works and is successful and brings home the paycheck. I don’t know who the hell set it up, but it’s what people expect. I just don’t care. I hated being famous during 90210. I’m not an extrovert. I’m 37. I have a beautiful wife. I have an amazing 8-year-old son. I love acting, but this is just my job. F-ck, next year I could book some crazy movie that blows up and things could shift completely. And I guarantee you at that point she’ll say, “F-ck, thank God. You go do all that sh-t now. I’m sick of it.”

See? He sounds grounded. Accepting that his wife is more famous, and he’s also the first one to defuse the onslaught of 90210 jokes by making sure he makes them first – it’s very clever. I took out all the parts about his rap career, because I found that a little sad, but whatever. He sounds nice. I’m a fan. I hope he gets more television work. Maybe a guest spot on the new Law & Order: LA. Maybe The Closer! I could see that.
