Reality star Brigitte Nielsen is just 45 years old. I thought she was about 10 years older than that, probably due to her ragged appearance prior to her recent cosmetic surgery. Nielsen sat down with Hello! Magazine at her home in the South of France with her fifth husband, former waiter Mattia Desi, 30. Alcoholic Nielsen is looking a lot better after having an eye lift, breast lift and liposuction. She’s sober after kicking the booze and cigarettes through the help of Celebrity Rehab and Dr. Drew, and she says she’s ready to try for a baby with her younger husband.

Nielsen is working out with a personal trainer to prepare for her upcoming spread in Playboy Magazine later this year, and says that once she’s completed that she’ll try to get pregnant. She has four sons from three different men, and her boys range in age from 13 to 24. Nielsen admits that her drinking made her a bad mother to them:

You’re appearing in Playboy later this year…
“This December it will be 20 years since my last Playboy shoot. So back in LA I’ll get a personal trainer and tone up. It’s a great challenge and if I can do it I’ll be very, very happy. If my body’s in good shape, I want to show people I worked hard at it. Maybe that’s a Danish thing….”

You’ve said you’ve been portrayed as a bad mum…
“I’ve been a bad mum at times – when you take the bottle over your kids, you’re a bad mum. But I love them and there has always been a close bond. I’ve been affectionate, caring. It’s unfortunate they’ve seen me in a bad way. But kids are great, they’re the most unconditional, forgiving people.”

What are your future work plans?
“I want to give advice about drugs and alcohol to young people. I’d also like to produce – I have two ideas for shows about people in need that I want to take to Oprah Winfrey.”

Finally, would you like children with Mattia?
“We’re going to try. After I do Playboy, we want to try IVF. It’s asking a lot, but if it’s possible ,it would make our package complete.”

If she wants to have another child and feels prepared for it there are options for her. There are risks of course at her age, but if she opts to use donor eggs the risks are reduced. Marcia Cross had twins at 44, and she hinted to the press that she used donor eggs. Other celebrity moms to have babies post-40 include Holly Hunter, who had twins at 47, and Geena Davis, who also had twins at the age of 47.

Euro boozehound Brigitte Nielsen went public in a big way with her total body overhaul, broadcasting her boob job, lipo and facelift on German TV. Nielsen recently emerged after a short healing period, and I have to admit, aside from the horrid wardrobe and the haircut she’s had since 1988, the broad looks pretty good.

As long as Brigitte is happy with the surgery and her health hasn’t been compromised, then good for her. But I wonder if she will look as great with her clothes off in Playboy. Based on the photos that recently emerged, she still looks like a lot of her new figure is being held in by good undergarments. I also hope this doesn’t give Brigitte permission to go back to abusing her body and skin with hard drinking and smoking. That’s what caused her to look like a hag from hell in the first place.

In May, we told you about washed up actress/model Brigitte Nielsen’s plan to pose for Playboy to commemorate the first time she did it 20 years ago. Back then, she went on and on about all the plastic surgery she was going to have to prepare herself. It looks like the boozy blond D-lister has managed to parlay that into a TV show in Germany. More than 2 million German viewers watched Nielsen have a boob job on live TV recently.

She looks like she’s gone ten rounds with Rocky – but it’s only the beginning for Brigitte ‘We Can Rebuild Her’ Nielsen.

Over two million Germans tuned in on prime-time TV to watch the latest reality show shocker – the ex-wife of Sly Stallone getting a total plastic-surgery makeover.

Brigitte, whose breasts stayed buoyant while her movie career sagged, signed up for the ultimate in questionable taste telly; going under the knife in a bid to look young once more.

The viewer is spared no excruciating detail: fat is vacuumed from her thighs, her eyes are Botoxed and those famous upper-assets – she calls the left one Titsi and the other one Tatsi – are being drained of their silicon to bring her down to more manageable proportions.

Nielsen hopes to revive both her looks and her career prospects at the hands of German plastic surgeon Gerhard Sattler.

‘I know I am the first female celebrity in the world who has allowed herself to be filmed like that in an operating theatre,” said Brigitte, 44.

‘I know I will be breaking a taboo. But I’m sure that it will provoke a new discussion. It’s time things change. I feel 30 and want to look that way again.’

The show is entitled “From Old to New; Brigitte Nielsen in the Celebrity Clinic” and viewers will see Brigitte in upcoming episodes also get new teeth and watch every incision and injection as she is remoulded from her head to her toes.

Brigitte is no stranger to cosmetic surgery. At the end of this highly public bout, however, she hopes she will make the grade to be able to strip off for Playboy at year’s end, 20 years after she first graced the mag’s cover.

I can’t say I’m surprised by the latest desperate move by Brigitte for attention. The woman’s been on several reality shows, her latest walk of shame being “Celebrity Rehab.” I’ll never forget seeing her frolic topless in a thong with a puppy while downing a bottle of vodka on “The Surreal Life,” or making out with Flavor Flav on “Strange Love.” It’s pretty clear the woman has no shame. What I can’t figure out is why 2 million Germans cared enough to watch it. Those crazy Germans- they’ll watch anything! Aren’t they responsible for making David Hasselhoff think he’s a rock star?

Note by Celebitchy: Here’s a clip of Brigitte getting liposuction. It’s not that graphic. I haven’t heard of this program at all and we live in Germany and get RTL, but we don’t watch a lot of TV either. Also the David Hasselhoff thing is often brought up by people to diss Germans’ taste in music and pop culture, but there is an appreciation for campy and nostalgic performances here which could easily explain it.

There was a brief time in my life several years ago when I was floundering emotionally and spiritually and somehow let myself watch a bit of reality television. Okay I really wasn’t floundering at all, but that’s the only excuse I could think of to justify it. And there’s a chance I was a mild fan of The Surreal Life. I often marveled at Brigitte Nielsen. The woman was as bizarre as they come, especially her odd relationship with Flava Flav.

I was pretty impressed that Sylvester Stallone married a woman so much older than him. Imagine my shock when I found out Nielsen was only 41 when she filmed the show. She looked at least 65. But clearly she doesn’t see it – Nielsen has announced that she’d like to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her Playboy cover by posing again.

The actress/model announced her plans during an appearance on the Billy Bush Radio Show in Los Angeles, admitting she’ll undergo cosmetic surgery to look her best for the big reveal in December. Nielsen explains she’s planning a face lift and a boob lift and reduction.

She says, “I wanna look up and say, `Oh, I like myself. I don’t like my lines… I’m gonna do the boobs; I’m gonna lift them and be a bit more discreet and then I will do Playboy. Twenty years ago, I did the cover of Playboy… I wanna do Playboy December this year. I’m gonna be 45.”

I hope that plastic surgery is going to involve at least 30 rounds of diamond-grade microdermabrasion. Botox would be good for all the wrinkles, but that woman’s face looks like a splotchy leather glove. She is a true testament to what hard living can do to your looks. Brigitte looks like she spent the last twenty years smoking cigarettes in a tanning bed.

Here are some other famous women born in 1963. Imagine their faces, and then look below to understand my point: Vanessa Williams, Kathy Ireland, Elle Macpherson, Natasha Richardson, Phoebe Cates, Tori Amos, Lauren Holly, Nicolette Sheridan… you get the point. They don’t all look like they’re 25, but none of them look 65 either. I’m not sure plastic surgery could even make Brigitte Nielsen look her real age. Something tells me she might want to focus on other endeavors… like sobriety and visiting the dermatologist regularly.

The Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav was held on Sunday night. While I was initially surprised to see Brigitte Nielsen there, because I thought she was pulling a Lohan circa “Wonderland” and showing her face too early, it turns out she’s been in rehab since June 9 and that the news only came out last week.

Nielsen talked to People Magazine about her stint in rehab and said she felt “like a new-born person” and said “It’s not been easy but it was definitely time.” She hinted that it was the result of an intervention, saying “It has to do with your family. It has to do with business. It was to do with your friends, who are honest with you.” Last week Nielsen’s manager confirmed that she was in rehab and said that it was by her own free will.

As for the actual Roast, it seems to have gone well except for a few obnoxious comments that were cut by censors. Lisa Lampanell called the “Flavor of Love” girls “nappy headed bitches” and Jimmy Kimmel said to Flav that “Chris Benoit is a better father than you.” The show airs August 12 on Comedy Central and we won’t get to see either of those moments.

Brigitte Nielsen, one of the slurring stars of the “Surreal Life” and the UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother” has checked herself into rehab, according to her manager. She made the decision after a family intervention. He would not confirm what she checked herself in for, only to say that when she got out, they would have a big party for her with “Coca Cola only.” The National Enquirer reports that Nielsen suffers from alcoholism.

SYLVESTER STALLONE’s statuesque ex-wife BRIGITTE NIELSEN has checked into rehab in North Hollywood following a family intervention. New husband Mattia Dessi was among those who begged the Danish model/actress to seek help for alcoholism, according to the National Enquirer. Nielsen reluctantly checked into the Cri-Help facility on 9 July (07). Insiders tell the publication Nielsen has been fighting a serious alcohol problem for years. She appeared drunk on American reality TV show The Surreal Life in 2005. A source says, “It took an ultimatum from her family to get through to Brigitte – either she gets help or she loses her loved ones’ support.” Nielsen’s manager, Ryan Glasglow, confirms the actress is in rehab, stating “Brigitte’s getting the help she needs and has a positive attitude about her recovery.”

Anyone who saw Brigitte on the “Surreal Life” knows she was definitely on something most of the time. I remember one episode where the cast was supposed to record a song together, and Brigitte was passed out on the couch the whole time. She finally roused herself for about 28 seconds to record something. There are few things that will help your career – i.e. get you back in the headlines – like checking into rehab. What happened to the good old days when people would quietly duck into a rehab facility somewhere out of the way?

Dating Flavor Flav will do this to you. The rest of you be warned. I don’t mean the alcoholism, but have you seen this lady? I thought she was in her mid-sixties; turns out she’s 44. For a model, she has not aged well. Screw that, for a human being, she has not aged well. She is the best anti-drinking, anti-smoking, pro-sunscreen advertisement I’ve ever seen. I bet Flav’s giant clock was just a smack in the face to her. A constant reminder of the inescapable ravages of time. That’s got to be rough.
