The predictable backlash against Dr. Phil’s Britney Spears television special has begun. Ever since news broke that the good doctor finagled his way into her hospital room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center psych ward, people have been throwing a fit. And it seems pretty deserved. Though Dr. Phil originally said he stayed and talked with Britney for over an hour, then walked her to her car, it quickly became clear from many hospital sources that that was not the case. Dr. Phil was only there for fifteen minutes, and was a very unwelcome visitor, as far as Brit was concerned. Many sources are saying they didn’t so much have a talk as much as Dr. Phil just lectured at her in that way he has. It’s also pretty doubtful that he “escorted” her to her car, but more likely followed her out, yammering at her. Most commenters on our website and others seem to think Dr. Phil shouldn’t be associated with Spears, and that his motivations are more publicity-based than out of true concern for her. Many people have also pointed out that it’s inappropriate for a TV doctor to have gained admittance to the psych ward unless he was one of the patient’s doctors, which he isn’t. It seems like he traded on his name to get in there, and frankly I can’t blame Britney for being pissed.

Dr. Phil McGraw has canceled plans to dedicate a show to Britney Spears, calling the situation “too intense,” he announced on his Web site Monday.

“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private,” he said in a message online. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show today, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case. Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers, and we ask that they be in yours.”

Earlier on Monday, McGraw appeared on CBS’s The Early Show and said that Spears’s family was “very frustrated” that the pop star wasn’t held for a longer period of time at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was admitted last week.

I’m embarrassed to say I used to really like Dr. Phil. Pop psychology can be dangerous, but normally I’d glean a few pearls of wisdom from his show. If nothing else it was decent entertainment that (until recently) didn’t make me feel quite as guilty as watching Jerry Springer or something. But in the last year or two his show has gotten incredibly cheesy and commercial, and every time I see that damned “Dr. Phil House” I want to light the thing on fire. I think he could have actually done some good with his popularity if he’d have kept himself – and the show’s content – in check. Truly, associating yourself so personally with Britney Spears is career suicide. If he absolutely had to talk about it, he should have 1) stayed away from Britney, as his presence could only seem self-serving and 2) do a show about mental breakdowns/bi-polar/postpartum depression or whatever it is he thinks she’s suffering from, and talk about her a bit as an example, but not actively include her family. If I were Britney Spears and my family went on Dr. Phil’s show to talk about me, I would feel incredibly betrayed, and make sure they never had the chance to be around me again. If they want to influence her positively and get her help, they need to do so privately.

I NEVER thought I’d say this, but I do feel some compassion for her, for the first time. Her thought patterns are clearly not healthy, rational, or logical. It seems pretty obvious to me that what was once self-centered, immature behavior resulting from a lack of intellect has deteriorated into severe mental illness. I really do think she’s in danger of killer herself, either on purpose or accidentally. When things spiral out of control like this, sometimes people feel there’s no other way out. She’s in pretty deep, and I hope she has some resources and people around her that will remind her that she can still turn things around if she’s truly and permanently committed to it.

The British dude Britney is dating now seems like he’s predictably telling someone where to find them and setting up clear shots . Somehow CelebTV.com has two “exclusive” videos of Britney out with Adnan Ghalib, the photographer she hooked up with after she left the hospital, and it sounds like there’s just one photographer taking shots, which are sure to be worth a mint.

Ghalib was said to have tried to sell photos of Britney as well as his story of how they met for $5 million, but he has so far been unsuccessful. He will probably have much more luck making money with these latest exclusive photos and videos, which are set to air on Extra! tonight.

This guy seems like he’s using Britney, but do you think she cares? He’s giving her some much-needed attention and she often tips of paparazzi as to her whereabouts. It’s not like she’s trying too hard to hide out if she’s out getting Starbucks and leaving the curtains to her room open. If Ghalib is being kind her to and hanging out with her that’s probably all that matters to Britney. It’s likely she’s aware that he tipped at least one photographer off on where to find them and maybe he’s even giving her a cut of the profits. At least these videos show that she’s doing relatively ok.

The Sun today reports that Ghalib is a smooth talking Englishman who was raised in a family of practicing Muslims near Birmingham. He left the UK over ten years ago to pursue a career in the states. Ghalib is married but is said to be currently separated from his wife.

Britney has so far rejected pleas by her family to get treatment in a mental health facility, which is thought to be her only chance of regaining custody rights for her children. It could be true that she tested negative for illegal drugs as Life and Style originally reported. People confirms that her drug test came back negative.

Britney Spears has once again managed to prove that the rules, no matter how rigid – apply to everyone but her. She’s managed to get herself released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center mental ward, where she was placed on a 72-hour hold. According to most sources, Brit was admitted to the hospital sometime around midnight Friday morning, which means she should have been held until about midnight tomorrow night. But she’s managed to get herself released after only 31 hours – more or less. Brit was released this morning at 7am, after a visit from Dr. Phil. According to Page Six, Brit began acting out after Dr. Phil visited her, and then was released with him and her father Jamie Spears. That really doesn’t make any sense – she started misbehaving, so they released her? Regardless of what went down, Brit was definitely released this morning, and is now at home.

After being rushed to the hospital Thursday night and spending two nights there, Britney Spears has left the building. OK! can confirm that she was escorted out by four police officers at 7 am, but Brit Brit did not head to her lavish Beverly Hills pad. Instead she headed to her Studio City home.

Both Entertainment Tonight and The Insider were first to report that the mother of two left Saturday morning via an underground tunnel. A source told the television shows that there was no reason to keep her hospitalized despite reports she would stay for 72 hours.

Before she was released, Britney had an unexpected visitor. Dr. Phil was seen visiting the out of control singer and her father Jamie. Dr. Phil then walked Britney to her car.

It seems like there’s a lot of confusing information out there – it’s hard to tell if it’s just because the stories are being written so fast. Britney left through an underground tunnel, but Dr. Phil also walked her to her car? She freaked out when Dr. Phil arrived at the hospital, but they also let her go because there was no reason to hold her? I have to say, the biggest reason to keep Britney Spears hospitalized is that her mood and behavior are super unstable and seem to change often, quickly, and unpredictably. Additional, a good reason to keep her for the full 72 hours is to teach her that there are consequences for bad behavior. Yeah I know that sounds like something you’d say to a child, but Britney has the intellect of a child, so that’s what works. Showing her time and time again that she is an exception to the rule will only reinforce her behavior. She needs as much structure and rigid toughness as possible. I’m really disappointed in the mental health system right now.

Britney not under the influence of illegal drugs
Life and Style reports that they have a source that claims that Britney’s blood test from Cedars Sinai came back negative for drugs and that she was not under the influence of illegal substances. So she’s just crazy and/or whacked out on prescription drugs. It occurred to me that she may have abruptly gone off a prescription medication or started a new one and that might explain her very erratic behavior. She could of course just be crazy, but if you start or suddenly stop using psychiatric medication it can dramatically affect your moods. You should wean off medication for depression and/or anxiety and start slowly to ensure that it’s the right dosage and medication for you.

According to reports, when Kevin Federline’s bodyguard showed up to collect Sean Preston and Jayden James, Britney locked herself in the bathroom with both boys and wouldn’t come out. She also refused to let the boys leave, so cops were called to the house. A source told PageSix.com that Britney was “hysterical and just wanted to keep the kids overnight.” The insider says that Britney wasn’t making any sense and “kept saying she wanted to stay with the kids.”

K-Fed’s lawyer refused to make a statement
I was watching TMZ’s “live feed” of the much-anticipated press conference with K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Kaplan, and all that happened was that a co-worker of Kaplan’s came out and said that due to the sensitive nature of the situation he would not be making a statement. No questions about the welfare of the children or Britney were answered.

Jayden James is likely ok
Everyone is worried that something happened to Jayden James after he was taken to the hospital along with Britney, but PageSix reports that a source says he’s “going to be fine.” It seems like he was taken to the hospital for observation as they wanted to make sure he was ok after the “hostage” type situation he was in.

The rumor that Britney was screaming that she “Would rather die than let him have my babies”
This is based on an all caps unsubstantiated Oh No They Didn’t post from a “source inside Cedars Sinai” and might not be true:

While that might not be exactly what she said and we have no way of verifying that, it is true that she was likely considered a suicide risk. She was deemed a “special case” by Cedars Sinai, which means that she was either suicidal or overdosed. No wonder they brought Jayden in for observation.

Britney is shown very briefly at 2 minutes into the video sitting up on the gurney looking around wide-eyed. She reminds me of a trapped animal. K-Fed is seen trying to hide in his car as he drives into the hospital near the end.

There’s also a video of Kevin Federline speeding and driving erratically trying to lose the paparazzi. The children were not with him at the time.

Update Another video from Celeb.tv that shows Britney briefly in the ambulance at 30 seconds before the end. The paramedics try to put a sheet over her head and she keeps pulling it down and smiling!

Britney Spears is clearly doing whatever she can to make her life as difficult as possible. While it often seems she’s doing it for attention, she’s also doing it because she’s an idiot. Yeah I know you were looking for something a little more profound on that last one. A psychologist would probably say that she’s subconsciously sabotaging herself for some reason. Probably true. But that girl doesn’t have two IQ points to rub together. She’s not just emotionally immature, she’s flat-out dumb. Britney’s lawyers can’t handle her immature, self-centered behavior, and are about to quit. If they do, it’ll be the third round of lawyer’s Brit’s gone through since her divorce started.

The high-powered firm of Trope and Trope filed legal papers today asking to withdraw as Brit’s hired guns in her custody dispute with K-Daddy.

In the legal papers, attorney Tara Scott from Trope and Trope wrote, “There has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible.” Ding dang wha?!

No word on whether Brit has a new lawyer. You may recall, disso-queen Laura Wasser quit Brit last year as well. Representing a popwreck can be a bitch!

UPDATE: Sources tell TMZ the reason Trope and Trope withdrew is because Britney just didn’t listen to her lawyers’ advice, and her behavior was generally sinking her case.

Celebitchy also pointed out that Brit also may be facing jail time as a result of her immature, lazy behavior. She’s failed to show up to multiple depositions recently, and it’s been noted that she could be held in contempt of court if she missed another one. OK reports that Brit blew of (what I’m guessing will be) her final deposition this morning.

As first reported by OK!, following her decision on Wednesday to blow off her second court-ordered — and seventh in total — deposition in her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Britney Spears was given one final chance to make good on her legal responsibilities. All she had to do was show up today at 9:45am PT to give her deposition.
And yet, as off 10:20am PT, she had not arrived at the office of K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Where exactly is Brit? According to OK, she did leave her house sometime around 10:25. Keep in mind that means she left at least an hour after she should have, to safely be at the lawyer’s office by 9:45. But did she end up going there? Nope. A few minutes after she left, she turned around and headed back home. OK reported that Brit only has until 10:30 before Kaplan goes straight to the judge and asks him to give K-Fed permanent custody. This makes eight depositions Britney Spears has blown off. After such a ridiculous history, I’m guessing the judge will give serious consideration to Kaplan’s request.

Britney seems hell-bent on proving to everyone that no one can tell her what to do. The problem is that pretty much everyone else in the world realizes that no matter who you are, there are a few people who can boss you around no matter what – and judges are one of them. Britney’s much more concerned with her own “freedom” and out of control ego than she is with her kids. Someone like that won’t ever mature to the point that she’d be a good mom. Hopefully she’ll lose her kids for the long haul, and then she can have all the freedom she wants.

Britney Spears’ photographer boyfriend of the past couple of weeks is married, according to OK! Magazine, but that hasn’t stopped him from seeing more of her. He even spent New Year’s Eve with Britney, her boys and the court appointed monitor. I hope his wife has moved on by now if she had to spend New Year’s alone while her husband slept with one of his targets. OK! also reports that he was bragging about his night with Britney. Eww.

According to a source close to the Spears family, Britney, Adnan, who made headlines on Dec. 22 when he stayed overnight with the singer in her Beverly Hills hotel room, and her two boys, Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James, are spending New Year’s Eve at a private beachfront residence near Dana Point, Calif. The source says they will also be joined by the court-appointed monitor who is responsible for overseeing all of the boys’ visits with their mom.

While Adnan recently told ABC’s 20/20 that he and Britney were only having “lunch” during their overnight visit, he’s telling a different story to his fellow shutterbugs. “He was bragging last week that the night he spent with her at the Peninsula was ‘the best night of his life,’” one insider reveals to OK!.

Now that Britney’s young sister is pregnant everyone is speculating that she’ll ratchet up the crazy in order to get more press in her time of need, but maybe this guy will help calm her down. She’s getting some much needed personal attention, and since that’s what she’s been crying out for it could be enough for her. Do you think this guy will last though? OK! says that he got Britney to leave a store by the front door just so he could get clearer pictures of her. She’s money to him, and he’ll probably sell her out faster than most once their “relationship” ends. He probably videotaped everything too.

I have a confession to make: I like Dr. Phil. I know 99% of his show is trash, but I enjoy it, and it makes me feel a little less guilty than if I were to indulge in, say, Jerry Springer. I can pretend I’m learning something useful, and then spout off phrases like, “You teach people how to treat you,” and various phrases involving cats, fertilizer, and brick walls. Obviously the guy’s a bit of a hack, but normally he can justify what he says in such a way that I’ll be nodding along with him in a few seconds flat. This is not one of those times. Apparently Dr. Phil is good friends with Lynne Spears, and has gone on the record, telling People that she’s a good mom, despite the fact that she’s about to be a grandmother for the third time… and her daughters are 26 and 16. Right on.

Ever the optimist concerning the Spears family, Dr. Phil McGraw commends matriarch Lynne Spears – despite the current controversy regarding her 16-year old daughter’s pregnancy. “We know the Spears family, particularly the parents,” he tells PEOPLE at Adrienne Maloof and Dr. 90210 Phil Nassif’s holiday party in Beverly Hills on Saturday. “An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother.”

McGraw admits that his friend is “troubled right now” but is “really looking for the positives in this.” As her daughters live under the glare of public scrutiny and criticism, Lynne has “her feet squarely and solidly on the ground,” he says.

“They’re a very strong, close-knit family,” says Dr. Phil’s wife Robin, “They’re relying on each other.” And with her book recently put on hold, Lynne is also drawing strength from her faith. “I talked to Lynne yesterday and she said they’re turning to prayer, asked that I pray for them. That’s how they’re going to get through it.”

I get so annoyed with people who don’t behave as if they’re religious, but then suddenly start referring to scripture right and left when they’re in trouble. Or when they win a Grammy. It just comes off as hackneyed and trite, and certainly doesn’t make me say, “Oh, well I guess I was wrong, Lynne Spears IS a good mother!” Frankly I think Jamie Lynn getting pregnant at sixteen doesn’t speak nearly as badly as to Lynne’s parenting as does Britney’s psychosis. But while Lynne’s getting a lot of negative attention lately, it’s important to remember that the girls have two parents, and their father is just as culpable. Jamie Spears has kept a pretty low profile, but he’s struggled with alcohol addiction. Probably an excellent reason that he should try being a little more involved with his daughters – maybe to help Britney with her own addiction issues. I think Dr. Phil should move the whole Spears clan into the Dr. Phil house (you have to say that with the bravado with which he says it) with the 88 cameras, lock them in, and do some intensive therapy. For a year. You know an on-camera teenage birth would make for great ratings. And Britney and Jaime Lynn fighting over who gets to/has to breast feed the baby would make for a great Dr. Phil intervention.

Britney had an event-filled few days leading up to Christmas in which she gave us a public lesson on typical bipolar and/or drug addict behavior. You’ve probably heard by now that she decided to pick her next lover from among the paparazzi that swarm around her constantly, and settled on a British guy named Adnan. OK! Magazine has the blow-by-blow, so to speak.

The handsome photographer wasn’t around when Britney decided she wanted to shack up with him on Saturday, so she asked his co-worker to summon him for her. Adnan showed up and hung out with her in the car as they drove around aimlessly for an hour. At one point she got out to take a photo of a mural and then freaked out swearing at photographers for taking pictures of her, throwing her camera on the ground. When one of them retrieved the memory card for her she was all sweetness and light, saying “I love you guys… it’s not like me to get mad at you.”

Britney visited several public restrooms that night, which seems to be evidence of some kind of UTI or drug use. My vote is on drug use since she was seen covering her face and nose. She also changed outfits three times.

Adnan and Britney went to her house, but they didn’t stay there because she told him it was too dirty. He then went to the Pennisula hotel with Britney and came out of the room an hour later to buy cigarettes. He told photographers who quizzed him on what was going on that “It’s hard to make babies when you’re just having lunch.” It was night time at that point, so he must not have meant it literally.

After buying some smokes the guy went back up to the hotel with Britney and left Sunday morning at 10:30 am. He then went to her house, and OK! notes that her kids were scheduled for a visit later that day.

So Britney shacked up with a photographer. She doesn’t really have a lot of suitors to chose from at this point. It seems inevitable that she picked one of the guys who is around her constantly, especially since that restaurant manager didn’t work out.

There’s also a story in this week’s National Enquirer that Britney wasn’t just barred from the Four Seasons - she was personally escorted out by security when she didn’t pack up quick enough:

[Britney] raised so much hell at swanky Four Seasons hotel in BevHills she was summarily ejected from her Presidential Suite and escorted off the posh premises by security guards! Sources say Britney, who’d practically taken up residency at the legendary inn, had been warned repeatedly by management that a Hollywood bigshot in the suite directly below hers - a longtime resident who pays a million bucks-plus per year - was complaining about nighttime parties, loud music and drunken hoochie-momma’s screaming from Brit’s balcony to people below! After visits by security failed to silence Swamp Thang and her brain-fried menagerie, Mr. Angry VIP phoned the hotel manager and threatened to move out. Fed up, the manager phoned Britney and ordered her to vacate the premises immediately. Incredibly, the furious brat refused at first. Snapped the manager: “I’m sending security up NOW! Pack your bags and leave, please.” Finally bowing to the inevitable, Britney packed up and was escorted down the street and out the exit by security.

It seems as if Britney tried to return on another night, because outlets were reporting that she was turned away from the Four Seasons and barred from future visits.

And there’s a story that experts feel Britney is at risk for suicide. They probably got the idea from Perez Hilton, who said on The View when asked if he felt guilty for reporting so negatively about celebrities that “If Britney committed suicide tomorrow and died, she would be the only one to blame I think.”

Page Six quoted an “addiction expert” as saying that “[Britney's] going to eventually lose it altogether if she doesn’t get the help she needs.” The expert also says that Britney is seeking attention after her sister got pregnant, taking the focus away from her erratic behavior and calling for even more drastic measures.

Hang in there Britney, all you need to do is start hanging out with your sister again once she starts showing and you’ll get plenty of publicity.

Britney could also take the Paris Hilton route to mass media exposure - she could go to jail. OK! Magazine reports that if Britney misses another deposition in her custody case with K-Fed she could be sent to jail for contempt of court.

There has been a lot of speculation that Jamie Lynn Spears is further along in her pregnancy than the 12 weeks she admits to in the OK! article. Sources say there’s a photo shoot with OK! for Jamie and the baby scheduled for spring, which would make her at least four or five months pregnant, not three.

The Huffington Post has some quotes from the OK! article, and Jamie Lynn talks a little about her pregnancy symptoms. She says she doesn’t have much nausea now, but that she’s also not ravenously hungry and doesn’t have much of an appetite:

She says she has overcome morning sickness, has yet to experience weird cravings and does not show. “I definitely had sickness, but it’s getting better. It was at its worst a few weeks ago… I haven’t really got much of an appetite right now. I mean, I eat, but I’m not going crazy or anything.”

US Weekly has an interview with Jamie Lynn from three months ago in which she’s nonchalant when asked about her future. She was asked if she would be married with kids in ten years and she said “Whatever happens, happens, I guess. You can’t really say what is going to happen.” Does this indicate that she had a similar attitude toward birth control? She was either pregnant or just about to get pregnant at that point.

There’s a lot of heated debate over this subject and that’s understandable as this is a very young woman on a show aimed at tweens. Some commentors chastised me for assuming she didn’t use birth control, as no birth control is 100% effective. It doesn’t seem like a huge logical leap to reach the conclusion that there wasn’t birth control involved, especially considering the earlier story that she had a pregnancy scare, but maybe she used a condom and it failed. That’s happened to me, although thankfully I didn’t get pregnant until I wanted to.

Many people are pointing a well-aimed finger at Lynne Spears, Jamie Lynn’s mom, and asking if she ever had a birth control discussion with either of her fertile daughters. The Huffington Post has a great editorial questioning how Lynn could so quickly sell her daughter’s pregnancy story, and wondering how she so fundamentally failed in advising either one of her daughters.

Some quotes from the OK! article may show that Lynne either had no idea that her daughter was sexually active or was in denial about it. She calls Jamie Lynn her “baby” and says she was home on time for curfew. It has not yet been confirmed that Jamie Lynn was living with Casey, although People reports that he “was a fixture at the condo where Jamie Lynn stayed with her mother, Lynne, while filming the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101.” Doesn’t that sound like he was living with Jamie Lynn and her mom? And if that’s the case, what does it matter if she’s home on time if she’s having sex with her boyfriend when she’s there?

As for Lynne Spears, Jamie Lynn and Britney’s mom, she was shocked. “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”

And don’t ask ask if Jamie Lynn and Casey should get married. “We’re not going there. We’re focusing on the baby. We’ve got so much to focus on right now.”

Meanwhile there’s a story that K-Fed heard about Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy before Britney did, because he has a close relationship with Lynne Spears and she confided in him on Monday before the news broke. As for how Britney is coping, she’s said to be driving around aimlessly, shopping, and going to whatever high end hotel will have her after she was barred from other establishments. It all sounds pretty average for Britney.

A day after news broke that the 16-year-old is expecting, a Spears family insider tells Life & Style that she and Casey Aldridge, the father of her baby, are not seeing each other!

“Jamie Lynn and Casey are NOT together. They’ve broken up numerous times, but he was her first and she kept taking him back,” says the insider.

“They’re not dating now. He’s really got nothing to offer this baby. He’s a kid himself. They have no plans to get married.”

“At this point, Jamie Lynn has asked her mom — and not Casey — to be in the delivery room with her.”

There will soon be a new addition to one of the most high profile celebrity families in the world. A very young woman is going to be a mother, but many of you have pointed out that this isn’t your average teen pregnancy as there will be no financial struggle for Jamie Lynn and all the help that money can buy. There could be plenty of confusion, lost opportunity, and personal soul searching for this girl as she matures and experiences the gravity of the situation. Let’s hope that she’s able to cope well and care for her baby, and that she turns out to be a better mother than Lynn or her sister. That bar is set pretty low.

Britney Spears was said to be shocked when she heard along with the rest of the world that her 16 year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, was pregnant. She even told a paparazzo who asked her about it that “my sister’s not pregnant,” while looking mildly amused at the question. People Magazine reports that a friend claims it will be a big shock to her and that another insider says that Jamie Lynn and Britney haven’t seen much of each other and that Jamie Lynn’s people have tried to keep them separated.

The pregnancy is definitely confirmed, with Jamie Lynn and her mom, Lynne, speaking directly to OK! Magazine. Nickelodeon Network, which carries Jamie Lynn’s television show “Zooey 101,” issued the following noncommittal statement about Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy and the future of her show:

“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

Jamie Lynn says her pregnancy was “so unexpected” and a “total shock,” but doesn’t she know where babies come from? She was living with her 19 year-old boyfriend and her sister has two children she gets to see only under court supervision. Surely someone should have had a talk with her about using contraceptives. Her mom’s parenting book is on hold after this scandal and I’m guessing there wasn’t a chapter in there about teaching sexual responsibility.

There was a story in July that Jamie Lynn had a pregnancy scare, so unless she’s further along than she claims she had ample warning that she needed to go on the pill or use another method if she didn’t want to get pregnant. I’m not saying it’s all her fault - her boyfriend should have been using something too, but they both knew what they were getting into by having unprotected sex.

Back in July, the story was that Britney told Jamie Lynn to “use condoms,” but she seems to have followed Britney’s behavior rather than her advice and has found herself in a precarious situation. Jamie Lynn also was said to have told Britney first that she thought she was pregnant. That wasn’t the case this time, and Britney had to find out from the tabloids along with the rest of us.

Let’s just hope that Britney realizes this is the time to focus on her own children rather than freak out about her sister, who still seems more mature and capable than she does, although that could change rapidly for her.
