Britney Spears and her two boys, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, were spotted out at Mr. Bones pumpkin patch in LA yesterday. Mr. Bones is a favorite Halloween destination for celebrity families, and has been visited by Tori Spelling, Marcia Cross, Tobey Maguire, and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale.

Britney was accompanied by her bodyguard, assistant, and the boys’ nanny. Britney’s boys were wearing matching red, white and blue striped short sleeve polo shirts with blue shorts. At one point a child dressed in just underwear came up to Sean Preston, who looked amused.

While Jayden and Sean Preston have been seen out with other nannies, Britney is still using the same nanny she had when Sean Preston was just a baby. It must be nice for the boys to have some consistency in their caregivers given all the drama they’ve gone through. Kids are resilient, though, and given how young Britney’s kids are they probably don’t remember the time they weren’t able to see much of their mom.

Things are looking up for Britney now that her driving without a license case has been dismissed. Britney did have a driver’s license, but just for Louisiana and not for California. Britney was not required to attend the trial as it was just a misdemeanor, but it was thought to have affected her as she was seen out crying as jury deliberations were underway. The case ended in a hung jury and was thrown out by the judge. Britney’s lawyer said she’s “thrilled the court system, for once, worked in her favor.” He added that the positive outcome “marks a turnaround for her,” and said “This case was a thorn in her side for more than a year, a reminder of the bad old days.”

The days are sunny and full of pop radio hits for Britney now.

Britney’s new single, “Womanizer,” has made a record-breaking leap from #96 to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. No doubt the single, which sounds a lot like Alvin and the Chipmunks on asthma medication, is getting a major boost in popularity thanks to the racy video for the song, in which BritBrit writhes around nude in a sauna.

Another week, another record-breaking jump to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Britney Spears makes a near-maximum 96-1 rise with “Womanizer,” returning to the top of the list for the first time since her debut single “…Baby One More Time” hit No. 1 in January 1999.

This is the third time in the past two months that the mark for the biggest jump to No. 1 has been shattered. On the Hot 100 dated Sept. 6, T.I. soared 71-1 with “Whatever You Like” and last week he sprinted 80-1 with “Live Your Life.”

Spears’ single is spurred by first-week download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey’s take for “Touch My Body” by just over 200 units.

In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s, Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100, the last being “Gimme More,” the first single from her last set, “Blackout.” That song jumped 68-3 last October with first-week download sales of 179,000.

I’ll give Brit a congrats for the achievement, given the last couple of years and how far she had to climb to get back to the top. Look, I’m glad Britney’s not vag-flashing, shaving her head and dragging her kids around Robertson anymore- but let’s get real here: Britney is a product; a commodity – NOT a talented vocalist. The first time I heard this drivel, I moaned, “Dear God, my ears!” and hit the mute button. Don’t get me wrong: I’m thankful that churning out these singles is keeping her out of trouble. What baffles me is that there are lots of people out there who like this stuff enough to actually buy it. But I guess that’s the power of Britney, isn’t it? At this point, she could probably put out a recording of her making fart sounds with her mouth and people would buy it.

Britney Spears tried to evade the paparazzi waiting outside her estate by sneaking a ride in the back of her landscaper’s truck yesterday. The photographers spotted her bodyguard following the truck, though, and got wise to the ruse. Britney laughed and joked with the paparazzi as she got out, realizing that she couldn’t arrange a day free of photos so easily. She went to meet her mother at a nail salon, frappuccino in hand. Don’t drink your calories Brit! You’re supposed to be giving up sugar. (I hate frappuccinos because I once got sick from one. That will turn you off those things for good.)

Britney is said to be planning a worldwide tour to promote her new album, Circus, out in December. There is no official confirmation yet, but Britney mentioned it casually in a radio interview and E! Online has insider reports that she signed a big promotion deal with entertainment company AEG.

Britney Spears stars as four separate women seducing the same guy in the video for “Womanizer,” which first aired last night on 20/20. She’s a sexy homemaker, an office worker who xeroxes her butt, a cocktail waitress with arm tattoos, and a chauffeur. She also appears completely nude in a sauna with her legs and arms placed strategically. The home maker persona is closest to Britney’s original look and she dons a black bob wigs and a red wig for her other roles. It’s a pretty sexy video and a catch song that sure to be a hit for her.

Just Jared points out that it’s directed by Joseph Kahn, who also did Britney’s “Stronger” and “Toxic” videos and is responsible for the VMA award winning “When I Grow Up” video for the Pussycat Dolls.

Britney has called Womanizer “a girl anthem” and said “It’s basically saying, ‘We know what you’re up to.’ It’s about guys cheating on girls.”

Britney Spears has a documentary coming out on MTV called “For The Record.” The 90 minute special will air November 30, just before the release of her much anticipated album, Circus. Billed as “a glimpse into the next chapter of her life,” the show is meant to help Britney close the book on a troubled past and move forward into the next level of fame. A clip of the documentary on MTV.com features Britney talking briefly about what she went through and how she gets lonely at the top.

“I sit there and I’ll look back and I’m like: I’m a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?” the pop star says in the 90-minute film, tentatively titled For the Record, produced in partnership with MTV.

In a video clip from the film, the 26-year-old Spears alludes to her tumultuous past: her divorce from Kevin Federline, forced psychiatric hospitalizations and loss of custody of her two sons.

“I’ve been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there’s a lot that people don’t know,” she says.

“Sometimes I think I get kind of lonely because you don’t open the gate up that much, you know I mean?” she adds. “You’re guarded. You have to be that way, so I’m kind of stuck in this place and it’s like: How do you deal? And you just cope, and that’s what I do. I just cope with it, every day.”

When you just read Britney’s comments they seem very insightful, emotionally raw and a little revealing, but it comes across as much more casual on the video, like she’s come to peace with it already and just needs to tell her fans in order to move on. She seems a lot like the old Britney she was before all her public problems, which was probably the goal for her all along. I was never a real fan, but there’s something admirable in the way she moved past it all and clawed her way back. Some of the lessons seem to have sunk in and we’ll have to see where she goes from here.

Britney Spears has taken New York by storm over the last few days. Earlier this week Britney made a comment on radio station Z100 about wishing she still had an apartment in the city and missing the energy. That’s left a lot of people wondering: might Britney consider moving back?

Britney Spears made an unexpected appearance at New York City-based radio station Z-100 this week. Her arrival at the station was entirely random: one rep for the station confirms that Z-100 received a call from the Spears camp saying she was just two blocks away and wanted to come in.

“Of course we were happy to have her,” says the rep, who also confirmed that her entourage was limited to one person — her on-again, off-again manager Larry Rudolph. During the course of the radio interview, Spears said that she wished she still had her NYC apartment. “Man, I wish I still had my apartment here still. But I love (New York City). The energy is crazy,” said Spears.

A source close to Spears says, “Britney always toys with the idea of going back (to New York). Obviously there’s no chance that’s happening unless Kevin (Federline, father of her sons) moves, too.”

Spears’ arrival at Z-100 was without much of the fanfare that comes with something as simple as a Starbucks run for her when she’s in L.A., but that doesn’t mean her appearance was paparazzi-free. One paparazzo hit a lamppost near the radio station while trying to nab a shot of Spears. No one was injured.

Britney’s made a pretty good impression while she’s been here. She went to see “In the Heights” on Broadway, and was ushered in without much fanfare right before the curtain rose – then taken out just as swiftly the moment the show ended. She posed for photos with the cast and chatted them up, and everyone had positive things to say about her. She also donated $10,000 to a Bronx school’s music program.

It definitely seems like Britney’s trying to ingratiate herself to New York City. I think the paparazzi would follow her around just as much here as an L.A. There’s definitely fewer of them, but there’s also fewer celebs, and Brit would certainly be one of the biggest. So hopefully she wouldn’t consider a move in an attempt to find a slightly less media-filled life. Still, there’s a pretty different feel from L.A., so maybe a change would do her good.

Britney Spears had her first live interview in a long time today, with New York City’s Z100 radio station. Brit arrived in Manhattan yesterday and is supposedly “taking the town by storm.” I think that means she’s doing a little bit of safe press and getting photographed. Which is exactly what she should be doing. It doesn’t seem like she’s up to anything crazy or over the top. Whoever she’s got doing her PR is doing a good job.

Brit confirmed that she’s been rehearsing not just for her most recent video (for single “Womanizer”) but for an upcoming worldwide tour as well. She also shared her thoughts on her VMA awards.

“I’ve been working on this album for six months or so,” she tells Z100′s JJ. The Britster seemed calm, cool and collected wearing a sweater and sunglesses [sic] as she added her thoughts on her new song, “Womanizer,” which dropped last week. “It’s a really cool song,” she says of the single. “I like the fact that it’s so empowering for girls, because it’s basically saying, ‘We know what you’re up to.’ It’s about guys cheating on other girls and stuff and it’s kind of like a girl anthem.”

Britney says she was suprised [sic]that for all the times she’s been nominated, that she finally won a VMA for her “Piece of Me” video. “It’s a cool video, but I think by far, that I’ve done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that I got the award.” But this year’s success snagging three Moonmen could be just the start for Britney, who says she’s excited for the future of her videos. “It was just inspiring though, because now going forward with the videos I’m doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens.”

The comeback queen arrived in the Big Apple yesterday, and she’s set to take in the sights and eat her favorite NYC treat – pizza. “I miss it here so much, I love it!” she gushes about the city. “It’s kind of bittersweet coming here because I used to live here for two years, so when I come back it’s like, man, I wish I had my apartment here still.”

Brit also revealed some exciting news for next year – she’ll be going on tour next year, “probably around the world.”

Something tells me even with the downgrade in her finances over the last few years, Brit could probably still afford to buy a nice little studio in Soho if she wanted to. And I could house sit. And never gossip about her or put pictures of her stuff on the internet. It’s always a little funny to me when stars talk wistfully about things like they couldn’t get them if they wanted them.

If Britney had a successful tour, I think that’d really be the completion of her comeback. Especially if she could couple that with a decently-reviewed (and decently selling) CD. It seems like she’s not just got smart handlers working for her but like she’s also lucid. And happy. Things just keep getting better and better for her. Hopefully Brit’s CD will have some good tracks and her tour will go well.

There have been rumors floating around for a long time that Britney Spears made a sex tape with paparazzo ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Now Adnan’s confirmed to Heat magazine that the former couple did indeed make a tape, and he’s still got it in his possession. Oh, and he’s willing to sell it, but won’t talk about the price until he’s got a deal firmed up. Classy guy.

Talk about ex-ploitation. Britney Spears’ paparazzo ex-boyfriend has revealed he owns a sex tape starring himself and the former Mouseketeer – and he will sell it, if the price is right.

Adnan Ghalib, the shutterbug and former flame who infamously dated Brit during her breakdown, told Heat magazine, “There is such a tape, but I won’t discuss prices for hypothetical enquiries. Unless there is a locked-in deal, I will go no further.”

The alleged adult footage, which was filmed in Mexico, runs about two hours and features the singer wearing nothing but a pink wig, an unconfirmed source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

“I am not interested in selling out any other details about Britney,” Adnan adds.

Ick. Not that it’s any sort of surprise, but Adnan Ghalib is pure scum. Even if he could somehow make the argument that he didn’t realize how messed up and crazy Britney was at the time, it’s obvious to even the most self-centered paparazzo in hindsight. He’s clearly not just trying to make some cash; he’s trying to bring Britney down now that she’s doing better and getting her act together. Adnan could have tried to sell the tape at any point during the last six months, but instead he pops up just when she’s pulling everything together. It’s really hard not to wish terrible, terrible things on a guy like this.

Z100 has Britney Spears’ new single, Womanizer, which was released today. The intro is a little too 80s video game, but the rest of the song is catchy, repetitive, hard-hitting pop music. It’s not my taste but it really grew on me. It’s the kind of song that sticks in your head and that many people can appreciate on some level. The thing is, it’s so remastered it barely sounds like Britney. It’s likely to be a hit for her and it looks like her comeback is well underway.

Britney was spotted out in a black bob wig with bangs yesterday. She was said to be wearing the disguise to shoot the video for Womanizer at a club in LA. According to US Weekly, it predictably involves Britney seducing some guy:

Spears shot a steamy music video for the song at Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant and Elevate Lounge in L.A. Wednesday.

One witness tells Usmagazine.com it features plenty of “erotic” choreography.

In one scene, Spears (who wears tight, black leather pants and fake tattoos on her arms in the video) lies on a kitchen counter and later straddles and makes out with a man dressed in business suit.

The scene continues with Spears sucking on cherries or dangling them around her mouth, all while straddling and crawling all over the man, the witness says.

“She seems to be all business,” the witness told Us. “She’d just do one thing after another and then on to the next.”

Good job, Britney. Keep focused on your goal and you’ll be back in no time. You may already be here. Just don’t let those stories of a reunion with K-Fed be true.

Britney and Kevin may really be trying to get back together. While rumors of that nature have been floating around for some time, they gained credibility after multiple reports came out saying that Britney’s dad and conservator Jamie was a fan of the idea and actively encouraging it. Additionally, both of Brit’s parents have had nothing but good things to say about Kevin in the last several months.

Now it appears things have really moved forwards in that regard, as Britney and Kevin are seeing a couples’ counselor and even considering moving back in together.

In a shock new move she and her ex-husband Kevin Federline are considering getting back together, it has been reported by America’s National Enquirer. The two are reportedly undergoing couples counseling to rebuild their relationship in the hope that they can raise their two sons as a family.

‘Part of their therapy involves going on formal dates and Britney is so excited,’ a source told the magazine. ‘She’s never stopped loving Kevin or hoping they’d get back together. Kevin still loves Britney too and if all goes well after six months of counseling they’ll move back in together with the boys.’ …insiders say things have changed since the end of the court case.

‘Britney’s dad first talked to Kevin about reconciling with her last spring. He was really noncommital at the time because he and Britney were still at odds over custody. But Kevin’s always believed it would be best for the boys to be raised by both parents, and he and Jamie spent weeks looking for a counsellor who suited both his and Britney’s personalities and could come to their homes.’

Before their troubles began: Kevin Federline and Britney are now thinking of making another go of their marriage. Britney is reportedly prepared to do whatever it takes to have her sons back full time. She is now selling her home in Beverly Hills to move nearer to Kevin and their sons. ‘If all goes well they’ll move into Britney’s new house together,’ the source revealed.

That’s an interesting take on why Britney really is selling her house. Supposedly it was because she wanted to move somewhere more private that was less of a paparazzi target. But closer to K-fed would make sense too – even if they’re not getting back together. Going back and forth between homes would be less stressful on Britney’s sons.

For a long time the notion of Kevin and Britney reconciling was a really terrible thought. However both of them have gone through a tremendous amount since they split up, and they both seem to have grown and matured a lot. Part of me thinks it sounds like they’re forcing it a bit though. There’s this ring of a business deal to the whole article. If they really want to get back together for the long haul, good for them. But if they’re only doing it for their sons, it probably won’t last, and the older the boys are if their parents split up again, the worse they’ll take it. Hopefully everyone is thinking this through from all angles.
