The National Enquirer has a story this week that suggests that all is not well in the mellow household of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves. Camila and Matthew are allegedly at odds over financial issues after Camila’s mother urged her to get a more formal agreement out of her baby daddy. These two aren’t married and while easygoing Matt has promised Camila he’ll always take care of her and their two children, he’s not ready to sign off on a legal agreement that will make it official, whether that be by getting married or promising her a specific settlement. They do live in the 50-50 divorce state after all:

Camila’s mom Multo Abrigado is pushing her unmarried daughter – mother of Matthew’s two children – to work out a financial agreement with the big-screen hunk, sources say.

But the 40-year-old bachelor is balking, insiders say.

“Camila’s mother is very traditional, and she’s worried that since they are not married, Matthew could leave her daughter high and dry with two kids if he falls out of love with her,” a source divulged.

“She’s been telling Cam that she needs to force Matthew into a financial agreement, but when Cam brought it up, Matthew exploded. He said, ‘I’ll always take care of our babies – and you!’”

Brazilian-born Camila, 26, has basically shelved her modeling career since moving in with the movie hunk in 2007. Their son Levi is 18 months old, and she gave birth to daughter Vida on Jan. 3.

And after Matthew shut her down, Cam went crying to her mother, said the source.

“Now Multo is pressuring Cam to get Matthew to commit to a legal agreement,” the source revealed. “She said, ‘He wanted you to carry his babies – he ought to take real responsibility.’”

But the idea of signing a contract with Camila isn’t sitting well with Matthew, said the source, although the actor’s publicist denies the couple is having a disagreement.

The source revealed: “It’s caused a rift between them, and Matthew’s kind of scratching his head over it. He told me, ‘It seems kind of cold, doesn’t it?’

I agree with Camila’s mother. If McConaughey can have babies with Camila he ought to give her some security for the future beyond just his word. You have to remember that before he got serious with Camila he was a multi-millionaire actor living in an Airstream trailer by the beach, though. McConaughey isn’t the type to get tied down and he might feel like he’s made plenty of concessions by moving into a house and settling down and having kids. Maybe it’s best if Camila doesn’t push him for now.

Camila has her own career to fall back on at least. She was a model when she met McConaughey and has her own handmade purse line. Kaiser just reminded me that Alves is due to host Shear Genius, the hair styling competition show on Bravo, starting this season. She is replacing Jaclyn Smith, with new episodes that begin airing on February 3.

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend, Camila Alves, were seen out at a Houston Dodgers/Los Angeles Astros baseball game in LA on Mother’s Day. Camila was holding a pink baseball bat from the gift shop, which might indicate that she’s expecting a girl. Camila is due in July.

OK! Magazine reports that Matt plans to be a stay at home dad and has cleared his work schedule to be there for the baby:

“Matt joked if he wasn’t careful he’s wake up bald and old and having missed out on years of his kid’s life that he couldn’t get back,” a friend of the actor tells OK!.

Matthew, 38, hopes to be Mr. Mom after model-fiancee Camila Alves, 24, gives birth this summer. “He’s intent on being there for his kid the way his parents were for him,” says the friend.

“Camila’s enjoying the idea of having him around. The two are busy picking out baby names!”

Star Magazine reported in its recent issue that McConaughey would do pushups and workout between scenes on the set of his film Ghosts of Girlfriends Past in Boston this April. They quote a witness who says “He’d jump down and do a set of push-ups. He was dressed really nice, but he didn’t seem to care!”

McConaughey is also rumored to be in consideration for the lead of Captain America in an upcoming film version of the popular comic.

There’s not a lot of gossip about Matt because he’s been laying low and staying in with his girlfriend as they prepare for their new baby. Congratulations to them. McConaughey certainly seems excited about their upcoming arrival, and he’s sure to be a devoted father.

Matthew McConaughey’s gorgeous pregnant girlfriend, Camila Alves, seems to share his lackadaisical approach to personal hygiene. McConaughey is known for going au natural and has not worn deodorant in 20 years. He told Playboy magazine that he refused to put on a rock crystal deodorant that his costar Kate Hudson tried to get him to wear while they were filming Fool’s Gold.

Now In Touch is reporting that part of the reason that Matthew loves his pregnant girlfriend, Bralizian model Camila, is because she can also go without a shower for a week. Lest you think they’re making that up, it’s an actual quote from one of Camila’s business associates on her new handmade leather purse line:

“He said he finally met a girl who can go without a shower for a week – someone he can go mountain climbing and hiking with,” Pamela DePalma, president of DePalma Enterprises, which represents Camila’s new venture MUXO handbags tells In Touch. “Camila is incredibly easygoing.”

Camila’s business associate also says that it was McConaughey who first noticed Camila and asked her to have a drink with him.

“He chose her, she didn’t chose him,” she adds. “She was at a restaurant in LA and he walked up to her. He introduced himself, and said he would love to have her come join him for his favorite drink – a margarita – and they had a great friendship to star.”

And In Touch also talked to Camila’s manager, who hinted that a surprise marriage might be in the cards for the stinky sweethearts:

But with the baby due in July, the couple have no been talking about tying the knot. Camila’s manager, Shabi Shahryar, tells In Touch: “You never know. I mean, the pregnancy was a surprise, so why not a surprise marriage?”

McConaughey is excited to be a father and is serving as Camila’s Lamaze coach. He says he’s going to be a hands-on dad and will change diapers. It sounds like their child won’t be forced to take a bath as often as the average kid, and he or she will probably be grateful for that. I know that my son hates getting his hair washed and will do just about anything to avoid it.

Matthew McConaughey, 38, has been open and enthusiastic about the news that his girlfriend, 24 year-old Brazilian model Camila Alves, is pregnant. He made the announcement on his blog, (link has automatic music) saying “yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together… it’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far… we are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God.”

Celebrity Baby Blog has an interview up with Matt and his Fool’s Gold co-star Kate Hudson talking parenthood with Entertainment Tonight. Matt revealed that Camila is about five months along and said that they aren’t going to find out the sex of the baby ahead of time. He said he overheard the doctor referring to their baby as “he” and that he had to work not to jump to conclusions about it. As for how he’s going to handle fatherhood, Matt said that he’s heard that “whatever plans you make, throw them out the window,” but that he’s “got the instincts for it.”

In an question and answer section in this week’s In Touch, Matt revealed more about how he feels about the upcoming baby, and you have to admire the guy. He’s gung ho about it, and says that having a baby makes him feel younger. He said he’s looking forward to every day, and that he’s “absolutely” going to be changing diapers. One thing that made me smile, though, is how he answers the question about how his life is going to change by saying the kid will fit right in. He’s in for a wild ride:

Do you feel more like a grown-up now that you have a baby on the way?
I actually feel younger. Even with Camilla just being pregnant now, parenthood has begun. The way I think about the future has already shifted. There’s a lot more “we” instead of just “me” and that feels good.

Do you expect your life will change much?
I think there are a lot of things you don’t change in your life when you have a child. The child has to come in and be a part of the life that you have…

Will you be a disciplinarian?
It’s hard to imagine myself saying things like, “I’m not going to explain it again,” or my all-time favorite, “You better get back in bed, get up on the other side of it, and get back in this kitchen with a new attitude!” I better get prepared.

What are you most looking forward to?
Every single day.

Will you be changing diapers?
Absolutely. I’ve been an uncle for a while, so I know a little bit about the art of diaper-changing. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a breeze.

McConaughey said he’s not going to stop doing stunts for his movies just because he’s a dad, and said again that he’s not making any grand plans and will rely on his instincts when the baby arrives.

I love the quote he gave about how “You better get back in bed and get up on the other side!” You can imagine his mom saying that, and it’s funny as anything. His mom recently wrote on his journal: “Drinking from my saucer, because my cup is indeed overflowing with news of this new baby!”

McConaughey has a reputation as a mellow, friendly guy who can have some wild parties when he’s inclined, but who doesn’t get in trouble and keeps himself in check with a lot of exercise. He is getting accolades for his new clean-cute look, with a shorter hairstyle and a shave, and people think that his upcoming fatherhood has influenced him to clean up his appearance. He’s about to see how much life really can change when a child enters the picture, and he seems more than happy to accept the challenge.

Kate Hudson chose an unfortunate cobalt blue dress with a giant asymmetric ruffle for the premiere of her new romantic comedy Fool’s Gold. Her co-star Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, Camilla Alves, is over three months pregnant and rocked a short black dress with feathers at the hemline that made her look less pregnant than Kate Hudson did.

Kate’s dress looks like it’s gathering at stomach, creating the illusion that she has a bump when she might not. What is with that dress and her matronly up-do? Maybe the outfit looked better on the runway. It was very windy that night and that must have thrown off the look she was going for. Alves’ was seen laughing as she tried to keep the wind from blowing her skirt up, and Hudson also took the windy weather in stride, laughing and trying to keep her coat on.

When I first saw these pictures I thought Kate was pregnant, but this is a conclusion I often jump to when a celebrity wears an unflattering dress. Looking at other images, she doesn’t look quite as pregnant and could be the victim of an overzealous stylist. It’s interesting to note that she also wore a loose dress to the SAG Awards.

Here are pictures of Matthew McConaughey’s pregnant girlfriend, model Camila Alves, 22. Supposedly Camila is three months along, though expert bump spotter Celebitchy thinks she looks further along than 12 weeks. Though to be fair, her dress is the style that makes a lot of women look pregnant, so it could just be accentuating what she’s already got. It’s also kind of flowing and looks like it might have a few layers… who knows.

Matthew’s whole family seems pretty exciting about the pregnancy, and McConaughey posted an entry written by his mom on the journal section of his website.

Matthew’s a pretty “easy living” sort of guy, but many websites are saying Matt’s mother Kay is anxious for the couple to get married.

Some mums are never satisfied, are they? Matthew McConaughey’s mum was delighted to hear that she was going to become a grandma – but she now wants to hear wedding bells now too. Earlier in the week, Matthew revealed that he and girlfriend Camila Alves had “made a baby” in a blog on his website and his mum Kay recalled the phone call where she found out about the pregnanct [sic]: “He said, `Mom, are you ready?’ And I said, ‘What?’ And he said, ‘Camilla and I are going to have a baby.’ And I go, ‘Oh, that’s wonderful! So when are y’all getting married?… This is a question that 76-year-old mothers ask, Matthew.’”

“Out in Hollywood they get their sequence all mixed up. But I have dropped the subject. He is going to be a wonderful dad. He likes to have fun. He won’t put up with whining. But it’s going to be a happy child.” Matthew recently explained that he felt no pressure to marry: “I believe in the institution [of marriage], but I don’t feel you have to marry. A kid just needs a mom and a dad.”

Matthew definitely seems like he’ll be a good, fun dad. It’s hard to find much out about Camila’s personality, but in the past McConaughey seems to have picked women that were pretty easy going and could love his trailer-living lifestyle. No word on if the couple is planning on raising the new baby in the Airstream or not. Though if they do, I’m fairly certainly it’ll be the first celebrity baby raised in a home with a generator-only power supply. If nothing else, it’ll keep the kid humble.

Considering he admitted he lost his virginity at the tender age of 15, it’s a wonder Matthew McConaughey has gone 23 years without getting a girl pregnant. But the 23 year streak has ended (I would guess intentionally): McConaughey and model girlfriend Camila Alves, 22, are expecting a baby together.

Two years ago McConaughey told Oprah “I’ve always dreamed of having children,” he told Oprah. “I go between [wanting] 14 and two. But I do believe my mate will have something to say about that.” No word on any marriage plans. Somehow I doubt that’s super important to McConaughey, but you never know. Something tells me McConaughey will be a really great dad. He’ll probably smoke a bit too much pot around his kid, and likely expose him to some naked bongo drum playing, but much worse has happened to celebrity offspring. I imagine he’ll be the type of parent that Kate Hudson is. Pretty laid back and unconventional, but still an involved, awesome parent. Congrats to them both!

Matthew McConaughey, 37, and his girlfriend, Brazilian model Camilla Alves, 22, are currently in the romantic city of Paris and it looks like he might have chosen the same setting as Tom Cruise to pop the question. Camilla was seen with what looks suspiciously like an engagement ring on her left ring finger.

There was a story about a month ago that Matthew was going to propose to Camilla, and that he was planning to move out of his trailer on the beach and buy a mansion for her.

Matthew can certainly afford spacious digs. He is still getting plenty of movie roles and was just announced as the replacement for Owen Wilson in the comedy Tropic Thunder. According to IMDB, McConaughey has four movies coming out next year, and is announced for another that will be released in 2009. I wonder if he’ll squeeze a big wedding in there too.

Does this mean that Matty is settling down? Will he buy that mansion in Malibu instead of continuing to live out of an airstream trailer strewn with bachelor memorabilia? Time will tell. I would like to see him become a dad too, but considering how young his girlfriend is there’s certainly no hurry.

37 year-old perpetual bachelor Matthew McConaughey might be ready to abandon his trailer on the beach lifestyle and become a married man. Star Magazine reports that he plans to ask his model girlfriend, Brazilian hottie Camilla Alves, 24, to marry him. He is also said to be moving out of his small Airstream trailer and into a mansion more suited for two:

“Matthew has never been so in love with any woman and would do anything within his means to make Camilla happy – including propose,” a friend tells Star

While he wants to keep the engagement on the down-low, the Texan has been kicking around the idea of a beachside wedding next spring. “Both Camilla and Matthew are extremely close to their families and want to make sure everyone they love will be able to celebrate with them,” says a source. “It’s going to be the party of the year!”

Meanwhile, to show his commitment, Matthew has agreed to move out of his beloved trailer and set up house with Camilla in a beachfront Malibu mansion!

Last month there was a story that Alves asked McConaughey to clean up his messy trailer, which was said to be full of memorabilia and other bachelor junk. She was said to be hankering for a house, and Matthew certainly has the means to purchase a nice one. If this story is true she may have gotten her wish along with a more firm commitment from the hunk.

Does this mean that shirtless pictures of McConaughey won’t be a dime a dozen anymore? I can’t see him giving up his outdoor exercise exhibitionism, even if he has a nice new gym in that huge house he might buy. I would love to see this guy married with kids, but I have a feeling that it might take him a little longer than next Spring to take the plunge. He doesn’t seem the marrying type.

Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, Brazilian model Camilla Alves, is said to be fed up with his free-living bachelor ways. He may live in a small Airstream trailer, but that doesn’t mean that his place is clean. Camilla is supposedly annoyed that his movable home, now parked near the beach in Malibu, is such a mess and that there’s no space for her to put her stuff. She’s said to not being staying with him until he cleans it out for her.

After three months of dating, the Brazilian model has had enough of his dirty living space and is refusing to stay there if he doesn’t do something about it. “Camilla’s not a high maintenance girl,” says a friend close tot he couple, “But Matt’s trailer is such a mess, she can’t even find room to put her stuff!…”

Until recently, Camilla loved Matthew’s laid-back lifestyle, but since he hasn’t shown any motivation to either go through his junk or move, the brunette beauty has gotten overwhelmed with the small space (an 8′ x 28′ trailer) and has demanded he clean the place out.

“Matthew has lots of pictures from past relationships, along with tons of football memorabilia,” says the insider. “Camilla doesn’t think he’s made any effort to make her feel at home.”

The article goes on to say that Camilla wants Matt to buy a house eventually, which sounds like a typical case of a woman thinking she can change a guy. She’s young though, in her early 20s, (although I can’t figure out her exact age as she just came on the radar when she started dating McConaughey) and maybe she doesn’t realize that men don’t change despite your best intentions for them.
