Here are some new photos of Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart at the 2012 UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Gala in Dusseldorf, Germany (one of my uncles lives in Dusseldorf… but he doesn’t pay any attention to celebrities, so I doubt he cares). First, let’s talk fashion: the dress is Valentino, which was one of the handful of shows she went to during Paris Fashion Week last month. I think the Valentino house has really gone downhill since Valentino retired (or was he pushed out?). Correction: Thanks, Sandra! The dress is Lanvin, actually. This dress is… okay. It’s not terrible, nor is it stunning. I guess I’m happy that Jennifer didn’t go all “sex bomb” and “try hard” for a charity event. She looks appropriate and nice. Which is always good for Jennifer. I even think Casper looks decent – his style is definitely improving.

A day before this event, Jennifer and Casper tweeted one-year anniversary messages to each other. Which is weird because they’re on tour together, they were definitely together, and I don’t get why they needed to tweet that crap. Does that make me an old fart? Probably. But I still don’t understand tweeting someone that is literally sitting right next to you, unless you’re tweeting that stuff just so other people will know. So now we know. Jennifer and Casper have been together one whole year. Here are their messages:

And they said it wouldn’t last. Ugh. “Beautiful smile”? And the “Bear” thing is just… well, whatever. Congratulations to them. I can’t believe she’s gone a whole year without marrying the dude. I can’t believe that they celebrated their anniversary without Casper giving her an engagement ring (that she picked out and paid for). What’s going on with them?

These are some new photos of Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart last night in London. According to WENN, they had a late dinner at Hakkasan, then went to the O2 Arena to watch ‘Cirque Du Soleil: Michael Jackson, the Immortal World Tour’. After the show, they walked back to their hotel (Claridge’s) instead of using Jennifer’s waiting car and driver. Maybe Jennifer and Casper really wanted to be photographed looking low-key. Because they do look pretty low-key here – Jennifer had performed in Dublin on Friday night, so I guess she and Casper flew into London for a few days of rest and relaxation.

I don’t really have anything else to say about them – there’s no real news about them lately, although there are a handful of bottom-tier gossip reports. Like, OK! Magazine claimed last week that Jennifer was determined to marry Casper by December (which is when her tour is over) and immediately begin trying to get pregnant. OK! Mag said Jennifer’s friends were rightly concerned about Jennifer “rushing into it.” But Gossip Cop actually got a firm denial from Jennifer’s rep, who called the report “inaccurate”. That’s interesting, isn’t it? Because according to Lopez Time, she and Casper should already be engaged and planning a giant wedding. What’s taking so long? Does Casper not want to get married? Hahaha.

Earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez, Casper Smart and Emme Anthony attended the Chanel show in Paris. It was all part of J.Lo and Casper’s whirlwind international extravaganza, much of it probably business-related. But I noted at the time that considering Jennifer and Casper had found themselves in Paris, “the most romantic city in the world,” perhaps they would at long last get engaged. That’s what a lot of people thought, apparently. And many sites began to play “Let’s Start An Engagement Rumor” when they saw J.Lo’s engagement-ring-finger bling at the Chanel show. Here’s a closeup:

Beautiful, right? Huge diamond, beautiful setting, ostentatious and glamorous and Totally J.Lo. So what’s wrong with this picture? If Jennifer and Casper had finally gotten engaged, do you think we’d really have to speculate about it days after she shows up somewhere with a ring? Please. When Jennifer orders Casper to propose, and when she gives him the ring which she would like to receive, he will follow through and then Jennifer’s first call will be to People Mag and BAM, we’ll all talk about it. For now, though, Jennifer is just wearing leased pieces, probably from Chanel’s jewelry line. Of course, there is a wrinkle to this theory: Jennifer wore this same huge ring on the same finger the next day, at the Valentino show. Very interesting.

Wonderwall got in touch with Jennifer’s rep, who said flat-out that Jennifer “is not engaged.” YET. So do we have to talk about it yet? I think we should just prepare ourselves for the eventual engagement. I’m predicting it will happen by the end of the year. Maybe around Thanksgiving?

These are some more photos of Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart in Paris yesterday. I covered some of their Paris photos yesterday too – go here to see. In the photos where Jennifer is dressed in pink, she and Casper are going into (or attending) the Valentino show. Jennifer even sat with Valentino (he doesn’t design his collections anymore, right?). In the photos where she’s wearing the navy turtleneck, she and Casper and Emme are walking around Paris and shopping. Obviously, my gut reaction is to think that Casper looks like a complete and utter douche. That’s my default position. I know Jennifer styled him, and I really don’t understand why she hasn’t taught this poor boy to tie his shoes by now. Also, that black coat looks so stupid on him. He doesn’t have the attitude to pull it off.

Meanwhile, Jennifer is getting more political during this election cycle. From what I can remember (I’m not going to look it up), she was a big supporter of Barak Obama during the 2008 election, and she’s still a supporter this time around. While she was in Paris, she attended another fundraiser for Obama (she’s done fundraisers for the Obamas over the years too). And here’s something new – Jennifer participated in a “Women for Obama” ad. I just watched it… it’s pretty good, actually. Jennifer is in a group of women that includes Beyonce, Eva Longoria (one of Obama’s national co-chairs), Olivia Wilde, Gloria Steinem, Sheryl Crow, Ashley Judd, Julianne Moore, Kerry Washington, and Jane Lynch. Here you go:

You know what I like about this ad? It’s actually a strong “issue” ad, as well as a series of powerful personal testimonials. I’m glad the campaign didn’t get a group of celebrities together to discuss how “cool” Pres. Obama is, and that the focus is very much on women’s issues and equality.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have been photographed constantly in the past 24 hours. They’re in Paris, the city of lights and romance and PROPOSALS! Will Casper get down on bended knee in Paris? Ugh. Anyway, the photos of Jennifer in red are from last night – she and Casper attended a “gala dinner in support of Pres Obama’s reelection campaign”. I like Jennifer’s dress – she looks beautiful in red. I’m assuming she dressed Casper like a Ken Doll. He looks decent (for him).

The other photos are from today’s Chanel show in Paris, or more specifically, just outside the Chanel show. Jennifer brought Casper once again, and she brought her daughter Emme. I guess Max isn’t into Chanel that much, but J.Lo is trying to teach her daughter the ways of The Lagerfeld. It also seems like Casper has really stepped up to play daddy/nanny to Jennifer’s kids, right? Casper and Emma holding hands… it’s kind of cute. They seem tight. Us Weekly had a recent story about just that:

Jennifer Lopez isn’t the only one getting pampered by Casper Smart. The backup dancer-turned-choreographer makes it a point to spoil her 4-year-old twins (with ex Marc Anthony), and stopped by a recent Xbox 360 event in L.A. to score some games for Max and Emme.

“He was going on about how he loves playing with them,” says a witness.

Smart, 25, is equally enamored of his girl, 43.

“He’s madly in love with her,” the insider says of Smart, who will join Lopez on the European leg of her tour in October. Adds the source, “It’s not just that she’s his lover, she’s also his best friend.”

Smart and Lopez first stepped out together in Fall 2011, just a few months after her painful July split from Anthony, whom she wed in 2004.

During her September 14 appearance on Katie Couric’s talk show, Lopez opened up about the much-discussed 18-year age difference between her and her new man.

“Until somebody brings it up, I don’t think we really think about it,” the singer revealed. “We’re just two people who have similar interests and love a lot of the same things and who get along.”

While I get sketchy vibes from Casper Smart in general, and specifically towards Jennifer and his “career,” I think he probably is great with her kids. He’s pretty kid-like himself, so Max and Emme probably just see him as a big, fun playmate.

Anyway, all of this is just an FYI – Jennifer and Casper have never seemed stronger. Maybe she isn’t going to wise up and dump him after all. I guess Jennifer sees the past few months as “riding out the difficult period” and now they’re stronger and now they can get engaged. IN PARIS?

If you believe the tabloids, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have been “on the rocks” ever since that shady junk went down at the peep show a day before Jennifer’s birthday, which was about a month ago. Casper was either at the peep show, OR he was cruising gay dudes, OR he was getting a backroom handie by some massage therapist (cough). Casper’s version of events keeps changing too – he claims he was getting a tattoo. Or maybe he was getting a haircut. He’s not sure, because thinking is SO HARD. Anyway, since that incident, everyone has been piling on and “sources” keep saying that J.Lo is definitely thinking about dumping him. Maybe she is – I hope so. But the fact that Casper is still around doesn’t bode well. Here’s a funny story from this week’s In Touch:

Jennifer Lopez is feeling anything but secure in her relationship with Casper Smart.

“She’s been checking Casper’s phone,” reveals a close pal of the singer’s, “to see if he’s cheating.”

The friend says that Jennifer was hit hard by recent reports that Casper secretly visited an exotic massage parlor during their July stay in NYC – just one day before her birthday. Though he’s “sweet-talked his way back into her good graces” (saying he was in a nearby tattoo shop that day), the pal says Jennifer is privately questioning his story.

But while the star is acting like things are fine, the pal says she has doubts and can’t resist checking his phone.

“She hasn’t found anything,” says the source. “Yet.”

We could approach this like, “Yay, she’s getting wise to his BS.” But just the fact that she even cares enough to check him out… that’s not good. It’s like she doesn’t want to believe the worst: that she’s hooked up with yet another loser and user. That she’s an idiot about relationships. She will never admit that to herself. To make matters even worse, Star Magazine has a similar story, only it’s a lot crazier and funnier:

During her concert tour, a source overheard Jennifer and Casper fighting in her dressing room.

“Casper told J.Lo he is paranoid that he’s being followed, and she said, ‘You’re damn right you’re being followed. The whole world is watching you! If you f—k up one more time, it’s over!’” shares the insider.

Casper has twice landed in J.Lo’s doghouse. First, says the source, when J.Lo caught him cheating with another backup dancer, and again after the peep show photos emerged.

“Jennifer heard Casper had been there before it came out in the magazines, so she knew she was going to be publicly mortified,” says the witness. “She’s so mad at him and tensions are really high – as everyone around them can plainly see.”

It’s gotten so bad that Jennifer hired a babysitter, er, bodyguard to keep Casper out of trouble. “Jennifer assigned Casper her personal bodyguard to keep an eye on him because she trusts the guy and knows he’ll tell her truth.”

Casper also got a stern talking-to from Jennifer. The source overheard Jennifer tell him that “his job is to do what she says, look good, smile for the cameras and have sex with her.”

“His job is to do what she says, look good, smile for the cameras and have sex with her.” God, she sets the bar so low. Which makes me believe this story wholeheartedly. J.Lo really does set the bar that low, probably even lower. It starts out as “his job is to do what she says, look good, smile for the cameras and have sex with her.” And then after a few months it becomes “his job is to not get in my light and not fool around with other people blatantly.” And then once they’re married, it becomes “his job is to just stand there.” And Casper won’t even be able to do that right.

Call me crazy, but I don’t have a total hate-on for this look. What can I say? It’s August, it’s an event in Las Vegas, and if you’re ever going to wear a crop top, booty shorts, reptile heels and a Birkin, it might as well be in Las Vegas in the middle of August. Do I wish Jennifer would stop with the crop tops and the whole “Look at my abs!” thing? Sure. But she’s still going to do it, shade or no shade. As for the booty shorts… I’m sure we’ll debate this. The debate will be “Are these really booty shorts, or are they short shorts and you’re dumb for calling them booty shorts?” My verdict is still “Booty shorts, especially considering J.Lo’s booty.” Once again, there’s a time and a place. Studio 54 in 1978? Sure. Wear booty shorts. Las Vegas in August 2012? Sure, wear booty shorts. I really think J.Lo might be wearing me down. Also: I really love her crystal drop-earrings. This isn’t the best outfit overall, but I give her props for a great execution on a weird outfit.

I also had a moment (a wonderful moment) when I thought Casper wasn’t on this red carpet (it’s a carpet for Jennifer’s “World Tour celebration” and she made a “special appearance” at the Wet Republic Pool Party at the MGM Grand). But that moment passed when I saw that Casper also got photographed at the event, just not WITH Jennifer. She walked the carpet alone, and he was off doing his own thing. So… they’re still together, despite all of the rumors and speculation to the contrary. Just this week, OK! Mag claimed that Jennifer’s family had done a “Casper intervention” and convinced her to “take some space” away from Casper.

Says the insider: “Jen’s family is very protective of her, and they’re really concerned that she’s moving way too fast with Casper. It’s not that they have anything against Casper personally, but they’re concerned about the age gap [J.Lo is 43; Casper is 25], and are worried that Jen maybe getting in over her head.

“They just focused on the fact that Jennifer has a long history of moving too quickly when it comes to her relationships — which she can’t deny.”

Although Jennifer has been aware of her family’s concersn, she was shocked when her mom, a sister and others sat her down to have a talk.”

“It wasn’t an attack on Jennifer or even Casper — it was more like her family stepping in and trying to talk sense into her,” says the insider.

“They know her history. She always goes from one serious relationship to the next, and they really want her to take her time with Casper.”

At first, says the insider, Jennifer was upset and defended her relationship with Casper tooth and nail. But she eventually admitted that she has a history of moving too quickly, and agreed to put a little space between Casper and herself.

Wishful thinking. While I think we’ll have a better idea of where J.Lo and Casper are as a couple after her tour, my guess is still that Casper is going to be around for a while longer. I do think Jennifer is wondering why he hasn’t proposed to her yet. I mean, they’ll have been together a year come November. It’s past time! J.Lo must always be in a state of engagement, marriage or divorce. There is no “dating” or “keeping things casual and low-key.”

Also – I don’t mind tattoos on a dude (or a lady), but there’s something about Casper’s ink that grosses me out. It’s not even that it looks low-quality – some of tattoos actually look kind of expensive and well-done. But the overall effect is just kind of gross… to me.

Last week, both In Touch Weekly and Star Magazine devoted their cover stories to Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart, and how shady Casper is, and how J.Lo is embarrassing herself by dating him. In Touch claimed Casper was going to some sketchy “appointment-only” massage in the backroom of a peep show (re: “handie”), while Star Mag went even further and said that Casper was probably at the peep show because it’s a popular gay cruising spot. Jennifer threatened to sue, and it looked like she was going to stick by her man… except not, because shortly after she threatened to sue, there were a couple of suspicious-looking reports about how Jennifer is going to dump Casper.

Well, now ITW and Star have their chance to retract and retreat in the face of J.Lo legal tsunami (which still hasn’t come, by the way). Except that neither publication is backing down. In Touch stands by their story, and one-ups it with a new report about how Jennifer is “testing” Casper now:

Some friends believe the exotic massage episode served as the wakeup call Jennifer Lopez needed to dump Casper Smart, the 25-year-old backup dancer, who never gained the trust of her inner circle.

“Her mother and her sisters were not fans of Casper from the beginning,” says a friend of Jennifer’s mom, Guadalupe, and sisters Lynda and Leslie. But when it comes to men, “Jennifer couldn’t care less about their opinion.”

But a source who knows Jennifer says she cares very much about her image. Although a rep for Casper denied he made a trip to the appointment-only exotic massage parlor in Hell’s Kitchen, claiming he was getting a tattoo, evidence Jennifer just can’t ignore suggests otherwise (he was photographed sporting the tattoo back in May), and multiple source confirmed his appointment to In Touch, including the masseuse herself, a Korean native named Bibi.

The source suggests that Jennifer is simply pretending to stand by her man for the time being. Casper has no idea, the source believes, but Jennifer is actually “testing him,” having him watched to see how he behaves. It’s a scenario Jennifer’s pals have witnessed before.

“Her taste in men is awful,” the source tells In Touch. “She meets a guy she likes, and within days, she offers him the world.” And when the cracks start to show, “She never admits she’s wrong or that she’s embarrassed.”

At least not right away. Jennifer may be stuck with Casper during her tour, but despite her past admission that she’s a fool for love, it seems in this case, she’s finally wising up.

God, her taste in men IS awful. I think that whole quote is gold: “Her taste in men is awful. She meets a guy she likes, and within days, she offers him the world. She never admits she’s wrong or that she’s embarrassed.” That about sums it up.

As for Star… they actually printed the words “Star stands by its story” (this is the gay cruising story). They even quote an “eyewitness” who denies Casper’s version of events – that he (Casper) was just getting a haircut in a salon adjacent to a peep show/gay-cruising spot/handie emporium. The eyewitness says, “I followed Casper from his hotel to the peepshow and back. He didn’t go into any other nearby buildings. He was inside the peepshow door for 10 minutes.” The eyewitness is the paparazzo who took the photos, in case you couldn’t figure that out. Still, I believe the paparazzo. Anyway, Star’s summary of the situation is a lot like ITW’s. Their source said: “Since Casper’s choreographing her tour, she’s trying to make the best of things for the moment. But each day she’s closer and closer to finally ditching him for good.”

Except that you know she won’t. We can hope and pray and try to embarrass and shame her, but she still won’t dump him.

UPDATE: CB pointed out this recent Twitter photo of Casper wearing an AC/DC shirt, where he seems to be like “Yo, dog, I’m AC/DC.” CB thinks that this means Casper is trying to tell us he’s bi. I think Casper is too dumb to realize that AC/DC is slang for bi.

The Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal had one unexpected consequence: it made the other tabloids super-angry that they hadn’t exposed some huge scandal, so the other tabloids began going after Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart. Did Star Mag and In Touch Weekly completely manufacture their stories about Casper frequenting a popular gay cruise spot and/or getting “The Travolta” at a backroom massage joint adjacent to a peep show? Not really – considering there was photo evidence of Casper entering the place, the tabloids were just having some fun with it. Still, J.Lo got angry. She and her lawyers threatened to sue – although you have to wonder, what would be worse? If people think Casper is gay or if they think he’s getting backroom handies? Or both, I guess?

Anyway, whatever went down at that peep show/cruising spot/backroom handie emporium already happened. Although Jennifer and her lawyers are trying to get an apology, I doubt one will be forthcoming. Which makes you think… if Jennifer sufficiently embarrassed now? Is she finally willing to admit that making Casper her boyfriend wasn’t the best idea? Perhaps. This strange little piece appeared in People Mag on Friday – they really slid it in under the radar too, shoving it beneath their Olympic coverage:

Her whirlwind romance with Casper Smart began last November as what one source close to the couple told PEOPLE was “a fun fling.”

Those rumors coincided with her 43rd birthday, which they celebrated together in the city. But although they were all smiles as they were photographed heading to lunch, the source says “she’s getting frustrated with him” and she’s increasingly “short-tempered when she’s around him.”

This is a departure from the affection they displayed when they hit the town – and, recently, in a steamy music video for her single “Dance Again” (and again in a sweet clip during her current concerts for the song “Baby I Love U”).

But as Smart continues to tour with Lopez, a breakup may not be in their near future.

“Jennifer is the kind of girl who doesn’t like to be alone,” says the source. “Until she finds a replacement, I think, he’s around.”

The “source” could be Benny Medina. Maybe it’s one of Jennifer’s sisters. Probably not her mother – Lupe wouldn’t go to People Magazine with “concerns”. Lupe would just put on old-school Santeria hex on Casper and that would be the end of that. I tend to think the source is Medina, though – the “Jennifer is the kind of girl who doesn’t like to be alone. Until she finds a replacement, I think, he’s around” quote sounds like Medina. Because it’s true. That’s exactly what Jennifer is like. She cannot be alone. She cannot NOT believe her life is some kind of “fairy tale”. She cannot stop picking losers. Girl needs a dong intervention. Casper might need one too.

Hilariously, Radar has an even harder version of this – their sources are making room for Jennifer to (gasp!) dump Casper. For real!

Jennifer Lopez is on the verge of breaking up with her back-up dancer boy toy, Casper Smart, because the 43-year-old mother-of-two has come to the realization that she really doesn’t have a lot in common with the 24-year-old, and is beginning to feel like his babysitter, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

“Jen is currently on tour with Enrique Iglesias, and Casper is the head choreographer of her show in which he also dances. It’s tough being on the road — this isn’t Jen’s first tour and she has been feeling more like Casper’s babysitter than girlfriend. Casper likes to hang out and party with the other dancers and that just isn’t Jen’s scene. She is all business and is the utmost professional. Jen is absolutely going to break up with him, they just don’t have a long term future together,” a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com.

As previously reported, Jennifer Lopez’s twins are proving to be a real handful on mommy’s current tour. According to an eyewitness, Max and Emme, both 4, have been running amok backstage while J. Lo rehearses for her sold-out concerts with Enrique — wrecking equipment and providing a general nuisance to the stage hands.

Jennifer and Casper began dating last autumn, just a few months after her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony ended in July 2011. The first leg of J. Lo’s tour with Iglesias ends at the end of August in Miami, and the second European leg, begins in Portugal in early October. “Casper will most likely be sent packing when the tour ends in Miami. Jen admits that she fell for Casper and that he was exactly what she needed at the time to help get over her painful split with Marc, but she is just ready to move on now,” the source says.

Yesterday, we covered some of the new tabloid stories about Casper Smart’s visit to a sex shop/peep show/massage emporium. I don’t really know what more to say about those stories, really. Casper was photographed leaving the peep show/sex shop place without any bags, AND he was adjusting his pants… which isn’t hard evidence (ew) of course, but it’s still fairly damning in the court of public opinion, especially given that Casper went to the peep show/sex shop the day before Jennifer Lopez’s birthday. Add to that the whole back-and-forth debate about what really went down while Casper was inside the place. In Touch Weekly claimed that he was there to get some kind of “appointment-only” back-room massage that only lasted 10 minutes. Radar/Star says Casper was actually AT the Peep Show, but the Peep Show is a very popular gay cruising spot, so obviously, Casper = J.Lo’s Boyfriend on the Down-low.

Hilariously, Jennifer and Casper are actually PUSHING BACK on In Touch and Star Magazine’s claims. TMZ says that they’re threatening to sue over the tabloid stories of backroom handies and peep show cruising. Good God! So, so dumb:

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are FURIOUS over reports Casper was “caught” in a “gay sex club” and an exotic massage parlor … and now they’re threatening to sue … claiming the stories are pure BS.

TMZ has learned … the couple’s high-powered attorneys, Shawn Holley and Howard Weitzman, have teamed up and fired off letters to Star Magazine and In Touch … warning them the “reports” are “false, malicious and defamatory” and will cause “immense damage” to the couple’s careers and reputations.

The reports include photographs of Casper outside a XXX peep show in NYC back in July — Star claims the shop is a “well-known cruising spot for gay men looking for instant hookups.”

In Touch claims Casper was “caught” with an “exotic masseuse.”

In their letters, the lawyers have each demanded the mags print a full retraction … warning Smart and Lopez will “immediately file a lawsuit” if the magazines fail to do so.

Of course, it’s perfectly possible that the tabloids are doing a special creative writing assignment of “tell the story that goes along with these photos.” But it’s not some huge plot, and it’s a pretty dumb lawsuit if they do end up going that route. For one, Star and In Touch Weekly will make it about the photo evidence and then there will have to be testimony from all of the gay dudes who love to cruise the peep show, and then there will be testimony from all of the women (and men?) who have massaged Casper in the backroom.

As for the reports causing “immense damage to the couple’s careers and reputations”… Jennifer is doing that all by herself. She’s dickmatized. And it’s so disgusting, because not only is he “beauty challenged,” but it really does seem like he’s on the down-low. For real.
