Over the weekend, the News of the World announced that Chelsy Davy had dumped Prince Harry after six years of on-and-off bullsh-t. The report indicated that Chelsy didn’t care for London, and was preparing to move back to South Africa, where she would be a lawyer and focus on her career rather than being a “professional girlfriend.” It sounded reasonable, but Us Weekly’s sources are now claiming that NOTW jumped the gun – Harry and Chelsy haven’t broken up YET. But it’s coming.

Despite weekend reports, Britain’s Prince Harry and longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy haven’t split, a source tells UsMagazine.com.

News of the World reported that Davy, 24, dumped the 25-year-old Prince, a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry, and is returning to her family in Zambia, South Africa, to start a legal career.

“They have not split up — News of the World jumped the gun,” a source tells Us. “Harry knew for some while that Chelsy will be moving back to Zambia. There is no getting around that right now. What the newspaper failed to point out is that Harry’s [Apache Attack Hellicopter] conversion course begins next month, that continues for eight months, and there is a further eight months at the RAF Wattisham base [in Suffolk, England]. They would not have been together much even if she was staying in the UK.”

Though their time apart could cause some strain on the relationship, “they’ll try to make it work because they are committed to each other still,” the sources tells Us. “Both have careers to think about, and it would be crazy for either to make sacrifices at this age.”

A Clarence House spokesperson tells Us: “We do not comment on Prince Harry’s private life.”

The two split in 2007 but got back together a year later.

All our prayers have been answered! Especially Michael K’s. The News of the World (via MTV UK) is claiming that Chelsy Davy has been telling friends that she and Prince Harry are done. Before everyone is like “I wouldn’t wipe my ass with News of the World” – hush. Let me enjoy this moment of thinking Prince Harry is single. Also, I’ve been wondering why Harry and Chelsy haven’t been photographed together at all the past few weeks while Harry was touring various African nations, especially when Harry got to South Africa, Chelsy’s home. William and Harry both went to a World Cup game, and Chelsy is nowhere to be seen. Hm… so it could be true, totally.

Prince Harry and long-term girlfriend Chelsy Davy have split, according to News of the World. The couple were together for six years and separated briefly in 2007.

Reports say 24-year-old Chelsy was the one who did the dumping, apparently unhappy with the amount of time Harry spent on family and Army commitments, and keen to return to her native Africa.

The News of the World quotes Chelsy as telling her friends: “We’re finished. This is a new beginning for me. I want to start my career in South Africa where I plan to spend the rest of my life. I don’t want to live in Britain.”

Zimbabwe-born Chelsy studied law at Leeds University and was due to start as a trainee solicitor at the London law firm Allen & Overy in September.

Prince Harry has spent the last week in Africa – after a few days in Lesotho where his children’s charity is based, the prince flew to Cape Town with William to see England draw with Algeria in their World Cup game.

Following the match, the princes spoke to the England players in their dressing room and left moments before an irate fan managed to get past security and into the restricted area. Later William joked: “Harry and I left the door open. And that’s why it happened. It was our fault. We take full responsibility.”

Part of me thinks Chelsy is pretty cool for not turning her life upside down for Harry. It’s clear that they adore each other, but I appreciate that she’s got her own sh-t going on, and if this is true, I like that she had the balls to walk away because she didn’t want to put the potential for a life with Harry first, ahead of her own interests. Take note, Kate Middleton. I mean, it’s not like Harry was passing out engagement rings so Chelsy knew where she stood – although, just my opinion, I bet Harry did ask Chelsy if she wanted to get married. He seemed totally besotted with her. Although he doesn’t seem to be mourning the relationship too much – he looks really good. I want one.

A couple of weeks ago, Chelsy Davy was allowed to come to Prince Harry’s helicopter pilot graduation, and in coming to the big event, she began a new round of rumors about her possible engagement and marriage to Prince Harry. Harry is only 25 years old, and Chelsy is only 24, so it’s not like anyone is tapping their watch muttering “Get on with it.” Plus, they’ve broken up before, and seem to have a relationship based on passion and great sex, rather than “let’s build a future” together. Still, according to Star Magazine, Harry really wants to get Chelsy down the aisle. He doesn’t even care if he gets married before his older brother, who seems to be the one that people really want to settle down.

England’s royal family may be getting a new addition ASAP! Insiders reveal that Prince Harry wants to make on-again love Chelsy Davy, 24, his bride before he ships off to serve in the army in Afghanistan next year.

The news comes as wedding buzz is also mounting for 25-year-old Harry’s older brother, Prince William, and his girlfriend Kate Middleton. Even though planning two royal nuptials would put a lot of pressure on palace staff, Harry feels that “he doesn’t have time to sit around and wait for his brother to make up his mind,” says the source.

Wait, he’s going back to Afghanistan? What? That’s doubtful, just because this is the first I’m hearing of it, and I doubt it would be announced so cavalierly in Star Magazine if it was the truth. That being said, I’m sure Harry would like to go back. He seems to really wish he could be just a normal soldier, and not have to worry about protocol and being “The Spare”.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsy has invited Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton down to South Africa for the World Cup game that begins in a few weeks. Harry and William are already scheduled to be in-country, and Chelsy was nice enough to invite Kate to come down too. My guess? Waity Katy will probably come. She seems to drop anything and everything to spend even just a moment with her prince.

It’s been a while since we checked in with Prince Harry, the Ginger Prince. I’m kind of happy that Harry hasn’t made any huge racist and/or dumb comments lately, he seems to be keeping his head down and finishing up the latest round of whatever military training he’s doing. Over the summer, Harry was linked to a few girls here and there, like pop star Natalie Imbruglia and some local English girls, but none of them seemed to stick around for very long. It seems Harry was still hung up on his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Harry and Chelsy broke up in January (it was allegedly Chelsy who did the dumping), and by most reports Harry has been trying to get back with Chelsy ever since. Harry tried to get back with Chelsy several different ways – first, he nailed several of her friends. Then, he partied a lot. After that, it sounds like he just started calling and texting Chelsy all the time. The whining worked, because now Chelsy and Harry are back on!

The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the couple have had a string of clandestine meetings, with Chelsy visiting Harry at both his London residence, Clarence House, and at the property he shares with his brother Prince William while training with the Army Air Corps at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.

The Prince is understood to have instigated the meetings, and the pair have been in regular contact by phone since Chelsy stayed over at Clarence House at the end of July.

Sources close to both Harry and Chelsy said last night that the couple want to give their relationship ‘another shot’, but they have agreed to keep a low profile in order to give it a better chance of working out. A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Harry and Chelsy are back on, but they are keeping things very low key. They want to take it very slowly and are determined to keep things quiet.’

‘Chelsy in particular finds the media attention when she’s with Harry very hard to bear. They don’t want any pressure and have decided to keep the news very much between themselves. You certainly won’t see them out clubbing together, but they have been meeting up in secret over the past few weeks to talk about their future and whether they actually have one. Harry has missed Chelsy hugely and is desperate for things to work.’

In June the Prince was briefly linked with Sky Sports presenter Caroline Flack, but a friend insisted: ‘Harry has had a few flings, but they have not been serious. He still holds a flame for Chelsy, but they both have to work out whether the relationship can work.’

Zimbabwe-born Chelsy, who is due to start work with City legal firm Allen & Overy this month, has been linked to several men over the summer, including property developer Dan Philipson and nightclub promoter Dominic Rose. She was photographed with Dominic on a group holiday in Portugal in July – but sources insist the fling is not serious.

Shortly after that holiday, Chelsy, 23, and Harry, 24, met up again. A source said: ‘Harry suggested it. She stayed over at Clarence House. They are both very cautious about getting back together and probably a little bit scared, but they have definitely been seeing each other. There is still a big physical attraction between them and Harry has told Chelsy he hasn’t met anyone he really cares about since they split.’

The Prince was said to be deeply hurt when Chelsy changed her status on the social networking website Facebook from ‘in a relationship’ to ‘single’ after the couple had a huge row in January.

Another pal added: ‘Chelsy is looking forward to her new job. She would love things to work out with Harry but she has told him he has to prove his love and commitment before it’s serious.’

Now, I don’t consider Chelsy to be any kind of beauty, but I can see how Harry would find her sexy. And I think that’s about it for Harry and Chelsy – they have a lot of heat together, but not much else. I believe that they probably are back together, but I doubt it will last. One thing I’ll give Chelsy – she’s a smart girl with her own stuff going on. She probably dumped Harry when she didn’t feel like dealing with the royal crap anymore, and because she actually wants to have a career. Are Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy back together? The British tabloids (I mean “newspapers”) seem to think so, and People Magazine has some kind of confirmation from a “source” close to the couple. Harry and Chelsy split in January due to many alleged issues, though no one really gave a definitive answer about who broke up with whom.

This past weekend Harry put on a black wig to disguise himself and went to party with Chelsy at a London nightclub. Why, oh why would Harry want to cover that beautiful ginger hair? It’s his best feature! Maybe Chelsy doesn’t like gingers, and that’s why they broke up? And Harry’s trying to win her back with a black wig? Or maybe he really was just trying to disguise himself.

But it is unknown how much time they have to spend together, with Davy about to take final exams at Leeds University, and the prince rigorously training to fly with the Army Air Corps. Among the issues for their split were their differing interests and his commitment to the military.

In reuniting with Davy, Harry is repeating the pattern of his brother, Prince William, 26, who split with longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton in 2007 only to get back together with her after about two months.

Since the January break-up with Davy, Harry has been linked with other women who all turned out to be dating other people in his set or simply close friends of the royals.

That last line in the People article gave me a shiver. “Harry has been linked with other women who all turned out to be dating other people in his set or simply close friends of the royals.” That’s the same excuse Prince Charles always used with Camilla, in the early days of his marriage to Diana. Because of course, Charles wouldn’t have an affair with the wife of one of his friends, would he? Of course a prince would never use the “oh, she had a boyfriend/husband” excuse to dismiss rumors of royal dalliances. Right.

I actually think Chelsy and Harry were probably in love, and Harry seems romantic like his mother. My opinion: Chelsy probably was the one to break up with Harry, and Harry was devastated. So he drowns himself in girls, Chelsy comes to her senses (or she gets jealous that Harry‘s seducing all of her friends) and takes him back. That’s my guess.

The speculation around the break-up of Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy continues to grow. Immediately following the news of the break-up, many claimed Chelsy was the one to do the dumping. Some say it was mutual. Many say Prince Harry is heartbroken.

What I find unusual is the level of reporting – People magazine and some of the more respected British papers are speculating and many “royal” and “insider” sources are coming forward. It’s interesting because, to my knowledge, the princes are still supposed to be relatively off-limits to the press. I guess no one can deny a juicy break-up story.

Those close to the prince believe time and distance may have pulled the 24-year-old royal and the Zimbabwean-born beauty apart, PEOPLE reports in its upcoming issue, on sale Friday.

When they split was announced, a royal source told PEOPLE the pair felt their relationship “had run its course.”

Here’s something that’s just wrong. Paris Hilton is now going public with her claim that she would not go out with Harry because she became friends with Chelsy Davy last year. Maybe Chelsy isn’t the clever girl I think she is.

Of Prince Harry, who recently split from girlfriend Chelsy Davy, [Paris Hilton] said: “I think he’s a nice guy, I love Chelsy though – I think she’s so sweet – so I wouldn’t try anything.”

Ugh, you know you’re in a bad place when Paris Hilton chimes in about your break-up. I tend to believe the speculation that Chelsy broke up with Harry, but that there had been problems in their relationship for a while. Fans of hot ginger royals rejoice! Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy have broken up. Officially now, because it’s in People magazine and because a “royal source” actually confirmed the breakup. Chelsy and Harry have been dating on-and-off for five years, according to People, but I think it’s been shorter length of time. People magazine also claims that Harry is 23, when he’s 24 years old. He’s a Virgo born in 1984, which makes him 24 – I know this because I love a hot ginger man, and we‘re the same sign.

The breakup comes at a weird time. The couple just took a romantic vacation to Mauritius, and Prince Harry is still feeling the sting of the public’s anger over his recently publicized 2005-6 racist comments. Chelsy is a Zimbabwe-born heiress who is usually photographed with a drink and cigarette. She’s got a great figure, but I don’t understand why people talk about her like she’s some great beauty – she’s rather average looking, in my opinion.

The 24-year-old prince parted amicably with Davy, a post-graduate law student at Leeds University, three weeks after the couple spent a romantic holiday together in the Indian Ocean nation of Mauritius.

“They are remaining friends,” says the royal source. “There have been all sorts of reasons given [for the split] but suffice it to say they felt that it had run its course.”

According to the British newspaper News of the World, Davy, the daughter of a millionaire safari operator, made the decision to break up after tiring of the prince’s playboy antics.

The pair met through mutual friends in 2004 and conducted a long-distance relationship for three years while Davy studied at a university in Cape Town, South Africa, and Harry was enrolled at Britain’s Sandhurst military academy.

Last week, Harry – who recently came under fire for uttering racist comments caught on videotape – began a new phase of his military career, a 2½-year course with the Army Air Corps in helicopter pilot training.

For royal watchers like myself, this news is pretty good. Harry will most likely go through a phase where he will hook up with random eligible girls, then in a little while he’ll settle down with some fun, interesting girl who will provide some good gossip. Harry has always reminded me of his uncle, Prince Andrew, The Duke of York. Andrew is a pretty good guy who always liked the ladies, especially the ones who aren’t that classy. Andrew also had a long, distinguished military career, which I see for Harry. And whenever Prince Charles takes the throne (in like twenty years or whenever), Harry will be the new Duke of York, the title bestowed on the second son of the monarch. In any case, I’m rejoicing that Prince Harry is back on the market, and I know I’m not alone!

Prince Harry and his longterm girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 23, were photographed enjoying the sun and sand on Mauritius Island yesterday while on vacation for the holidays. Harry wore a pair of lose red swimming shorts while Chelsy was gorgeous in a navy blue string bikini.

There was a mild controversy yesterday over photos of Prince Harry drinking beer from a tube attached to a funnel, also called a beer bong, with some friends cheering him on. The 24 year-old engaged in the frat party practice with buddies who are vacationing on Mauritius with him. Those weren’t the first photos of the third in line to the throne engaged in a questionable drinking practice. Last year Harry was pictured snorting vodka.

Harry is thought to be enjoying a last binge before he starts pilot training in mid January. Once he begins intensive training to become a helicopter pilot for the Army Air Corps he will be barred from drinking for up to months at a time.

Though the royals may seem to live pretty charmed lives, they’re just like the rest of us – in that even they are not immune from heartbreak. Prince Harry, generally seen as the wild and reckless of prince, had managed to stay with his longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy, for three years. That’s no small feat for any 21-year-old, and certainly for someone who could date nearly any girl in world. However it appears that Chelsy has dumped Harry after he chose to spend her birthday at the rugby world cup final in Paris.

A spokeswoman at the palace declined to comment on the widespread reports – some of which claimed Davy, 22, was upset with the prince’s playboy lifestyle, including his attending the rugby world cup final in Paris in October instead of celebrating her birthday with her. The couple met during Harry’s gap year between school and joining the army. They shared a love of Africa, where Davy, the daughter of a safari company owner in Zimbabwe, grew up. And they have spent many vacations there, camping out and watching the wildlife on exotic safaris in countries like Botswana.

In July, Davy, who recently started a post-graduate degree course at Leeds University in northern England, took a front row seat next to her prince in the stands of Wembley Stadium during the Concert for Diana. The couple were openly affectionate that day and, in the evening, they were seen hugging and kissing at the afterparty.

It’s probably good for both of them that Chelsy had enough respect for herself not to tolerate anymore of Harry’s inconsiderate behavior. It’s good for her because she’s not so desperate to be with him that she’ll suffer through anything. It’s good for Harry because hopefully he’s learned that if he treats someone poorly, he’ll lose them. The other advantages his life has given him might have made him feel he could treat a girlfriend disrespectfully. Hopefully he’ll learn from this and be more considerate to his future partners. Yes that sounds naïve, but we never know just how much he loved Chelsy: there’s a chance Harry’s as distraught right now as any of the rest of us would be. There’s also a chance he’s got three strippers wrapped around him as we speak. It could go either way.

Rumours are hitting the tabloids again that Harry and Chelsy are engaged, but she isn’t going to be attending the Princess Diana Memorial service. Neither is Kate Middleton, or Camilla.

In a statement, Camilla said she had been “touched” to be invited to the event by Charles and Diana’s sons, Princes William and Harry, but had decided to stay away.

“I accepted and wanted to support them,” she said. “However, on reflection, I believe my attendance could divert attention from the purpose of the occasion which is to focus on the life and service of Diana.”

I can only imagine that Diana, who hated Camilla her entire marriage, who blamed her for it’s ultimate break-up, would hate that smirking woman (why does she smirk all the time? Is it requirement of royalty when appearing in public to smile?) sitting next to her ex-husband in the front row of her memorial service. I must add a clause to my will instructing my husband that I don’t want his new wife anywhere near my grave, my funeral or my memorial. Except unlike Diana, if I knew my husband was cheating, I wouldn’t be the first to die…tee hee.
