Multiple Oscar winning director and actor Clint Eastwood has nothing but praise for his latest leading actress, Angelina Jolie, 33. The 78 year-old screen legend said during a press conference that Angelina was so beautiful it must sometimes be a hindrance for her. He also praised her preparation and said she always came on set ready to go:

Of Angelina Jolie – the leading lady in his latest directorial effort, the period drama Changeling – Eastwood, 78, says: “I’ve always admired her talent. She’s somewhat hampered sometimes by having this gorgeous face, the most gorgeous face on the planet. She’s on covers and all that stuff.

“But,” Eastwood told veteran movie journalist Lillian Ross at a Saturday Q&A sponsored by the New Yorker magazine at the Directors Guild of America, “she is a great talent, and it would be easy to overlook that, except after seeing this you realize that she is this great, talented person.”

“This” is Changeling, set in ’20s Los Angeles and the true story of a mother whose son is returned after a kidnapping – only the boy is not hers. Eastwood describes it as “a very tough story, it’s sort of an adult horror story. It’s what this woman had been put through by the Establishment.”

When it comes to working with Jolie, “She’s very prepared. She comes in with a lot of preparation. She’s ready to go right away,” he says.

This reminds me of a story that came out late last week that Angelina had the face most requested by plastic surgery patients. It was just an anecdote told by a plastic surgeon at a conference, though, and was not an official study. Jolie’s puffy lips, high cheekbones, and exotic look are said to be in high demand:

The US movie star has the most requested look – exaggerated, almost cartoonish lips, eyes and cheek bones – desired by American women wanting a nip and tuck, Professor Ava Shamban said.

The Los Angeles-based cosmetic dermatologist told a gathering of 400 fellow Australian specialists that demand for this brand of exotic look is here to stay.

“Angelina Jolie, with her exquisite looks, is the current gold standard of beauty in the states and in the West in general right now,” said Prof Shamban, who has appeared on the chat show Oprah and the reality TV series Extreme Makeover.

“And that’s not about to change. The exotic look, like (actresses) Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz, is here to stay, and Angelina is the ultimate embodiment of that.”

Plastic surgeon Dr. Shamban reminds us that Angelina’s look won’t work for just anyone who has the cash to shell out, and that “Features like Angelina’s won’t fit every face and we must take care with that.”

They also quote another Australian plastic surgeon who says “It’s common to hear people say ‘I want lips or cheekbones like Angelina Jolie’s’.”

Angelina Jolie is not thought to have had any work done other than a rhinoplasty, or nose job, early in her career. Her lips seem to be all natural as photos of her at 16 show her with her trademark pillowy lips. It’s a matter of taste whether her face is the most gorgeous. It’s certainly one of the most recognized ones on the planet.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made their first public appearance together last night after the birth of their boy and girl twins, Knox and Vivienne, in France on July, 12, 2008. The famous good-looking couple attended the premiere of Angelina’s new Clint Eastwood-directed film, The Changeling, in New York on Saturday night. Angeline wore a strapless Atelier Versace black dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and pearl jewelry by Mikimoto, according to People. She also showed off two new identical latitude and longitude coordinates tattooed on her left upper arm for her twins. She has four other tattoos there that represent the coordinates of each of her children’s birthplaces, from Maddox to Shiloh.

Jolie told People that her growing family is doing “great,” and says she’s breastfeeding the twins, which “is part of your body’s recovery.” She looks to have recovered well:

Asked if she felt nervous to be back in the spotlight, Jolie told PEOPLE, “Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.”

The Manhattan visit marks the first time since the birth of their twins, Vivienne and Knox, that Jolie and Pitt have been in the city with their children.

“Everybody’s great,” she told PEOPLE. “The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities.”

As for being in the city that never sleeps, Jolie, 33, said, “We are a little bit [sleep deprived]. We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.”

Still, as ever, she looked ravishing – decked out in an Atelier Versace dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and Mikimoto pearl earrings and ring – after a day of taking her three eldest kids (Zahara, Maddox and Pax Thien) to Lee’s Art Store midtown, while Brad went downtown to see photographer Jerry Spagnoli at his studio.

“I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery,” Jolie said. “I feel great [and] feel very happy that they’re healthy.”

Here are plenty of photos of the premiere last night. Angelina seems to have taken the time to sign autographs and give interviews on the red carpet. She seems very relaxed, happy and more than a little flirty with Brad.

Angelina Jolie has really rocked the sexy pregnant mom fashion at Cannes up until now. She’s usually seen in cleavage-baring long dresses with exotic prints, looking effortlessly beautiful. Earlier today she wore a black pants suit that also exuded casual chic. But somehow she decided that the best look for her big premiere was a giant gray mumu with sequins at the bustline and her hair in a fussy puff. Don’t get me wrong, I wish I looked as good on my best non-pregnant day as Angelina does here, but it just doesn’t look like her and it’s slightly off. It’s as if she let someone else style her and kind of gave in to conventional fashion wisdom for pregnant women – hide the bump, elevate the hair – instead of letting her own look shine through. And Brad is also suffering from a bit of the too-stiff look. It’s kind of nice seeing them slightly miss on the red carpet for once. Despite being richer, skinnier, more attractive, and with better accessories than I ever hope to have, they don’t look perfect for every occasion.

Angelina plays a mother searching for her lost son in the film, and she may be going for a matronly look at the Cannes premiere in honor of her character. She said that the role reminded her of her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer last January:

“My mother was very passive in many ways and very, very sweet, but when it came to her children, she was a lion.

“So in many ways, Christine reminded me of my mom, and it was a way to kind of revisit my mother after her passing and spend time with her.”

Pregnant with twins Angelina Jolie, 32, and screen legend and multiple Oscar-winning director, Clint Eastwood, 77, posed together for a photocall for their film The Changeling, which is in competition at the Cannes film festival and premieres there today. Angelina wore a long black pantsuit and peep toe heels with a tight shirt that showed off her pregnancy. The Changeling is set in Los Angeles in 1928 and tells the story of a mother’s quest to find her missing son. It also stars John Malkovich as an ally of Angelina’s character. It doesn’t premiere in the US until November 7, 2008, which may be an attempt to increase the film’s chances for an Oscar nomination.

Last night Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had dinner with with a group of celebrities that included Clint Eastwood, Mick Jagger, and director Brett Ratner. A waitress at the restaurant praised the group as being “super nice.”

Leave it to Lindsay Lohan to go out of her way to piss off the three people in Hollywood that don’t already hate her. Lindsay infamously pissed off just about everyone in the on the cast and crew of her film “Georgia Rule” after she continuously came into work late, drunk, hungover… or not at all. Morgan Creek Productions chief James G. Robinson had to send Lohan an embarrassing letter in which he called her”irresponsible and unprofessional” and mentioned her “all-night heavy partying” as the cause of her “so-called ‘exhaustion.’” Jane Fonda and director Garry Marshall were livid with Lohan, and rumors flew that she’d been blacklisted by most of the older generation in Hollywood Lohan hasn’t put anything out in a while so it’s hard to say if that’s come to bear. But you’d think she’d take it under advisement and behave in a semi-dignified manner around Hollywood legends, if for nothing else than the sake of her languishing career. But of course logic has no hold on Miss Lohan, and this past week she managed to piss off Clint Eastwood. Never a good decision.

Oscar-winning actor and director Clint Eastwood was just trying to enjoy a pleasant dinner at Madeo in Los Angeles on Thursday night, when Lindsay Lohan and a group of four pals — three men and one woman — seemed to spoil his good time.

According to a witness, the Million Dollar Baby star looked “very upset” at the scene and kept glaring over at La Lohan’s table — where, it should be said, no one witnessed Lindz partaking in any alcoholic beverages.

Says the witness: “I heard him tell his friend, ‘She brought all those paparazzi. Fifteen of them. Did you ever think we’d see the day with all this? I’m going out the back door so I don’t have to deal with all that.”

To be fair, I think it’s safe to say that Lindsay probably wasn’t going to be starring in any Clint Eastwood films anyway. But heaven forbid she not act as if every moment is all about her. One would assume Lohan was being generally loud and/or obnoxious in some way if they pissed off Clint Eastwood. I doubt the paparazzi was his sole beef with her. Lindsay is one of the top people I would vote out of Hollywood if I could. You never hear a single thing about her being kind, gracious, or considerate of anyone. It’s all about what she can get away with and how badly she can behave before she has to check into rehab. She doesn’t seem to realize that her behavior off the set also influences her career. The more people are disgusted by her in her daily activities, the fewer opportunities she’ll have. At this rate we can probably leave her to her own devices and watch her screw herself out of Hollywood within two years.
