OMG, look at Colin Farrell. He looks incredible, right? Or am I hallucinating? You know who he reminds me of? Timothy Olyphant. I’d always found Olyphant attractive when he was younger, but as Olyphant aged, and he started rocking some grey at his temples, all of a sudden it was like “OMG, this man is FINE.” That’s what these Colin Farrell photos remind me of – Colin is sober, he’s fit and trim yet muscular, his clothes fit better and he’s taking better care of himself overall. Plus, the grey. And all of a sudden he’s no longer the mangy Irishman who won’t remember your name the next morning. He’s the Irish sex God who will bang you until the headboard breaks and then he‘ll make you breakfast. RIGHT? Or is that just me?

So these are photos of Colin at the American Giving Awards, where he was honored for his work raising awareness of Angelman Syndrome, which his first son James has. Colin is also a supporter of the Special Olympics, which is awesome. Colin has been giving more interviews about Angelman Syndrome lately and… I don’t know, he moves me. When he talks about his son, I’m moved and I’m consistently impressed with the changes he’s made in his life and how committed he is to being a hands-on father to a special needs kid. Last week, Colin was the guest of honor at the Chicago gala for the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST). He calls his son “Jimmy”, and here’s part of his speech:

“He’s kind of lifted me in that sometimes tremulous hand of his. I ain’t saying I’m a great man or nothing, but I’m getting to be about as good a fellow as I’m going to be. A lot of the reason is James has come into my life and gifted me the opportunity to look outside myself and to watch his every difficulty and to watch his insurmountable spirit just forge ahead in life.”

It was all so different a few years ago when Colin Farrell was on a Special Olympics panel in China. A journalist asked him why he was involved with the organization and, determined to protect James’s privacy, he gave a pat answer.

“I found myself not speaking about what I wanted to really speak about so much,” he said at the weekend. That night, he said he went to bed devastated that he hadn’t been honest: “I just thought, ‘Well, maybe it’s time. I just have to speak about him. And once I’m not protecting him, what’s going to happen if I speak publicly about his condition? Nothing really.”

He called his son’s mother, model Kim Bordenave, and suggested the time had come for him to acknowledge James’s condition. The next day he spoke about Angelman for the first time during an interview. Since then, he has helped raise awareness by talking about James’s condition whenever he is on promotional rounds. An appearance on the Letterman chat show in America led to a significant rise in donations to FAST and turned Farrell into something of a poster boy for AS. And, such has been Colin Farrell’s enthusiasm for the charity’s work, he sponsored 100 families which enabled them to attend last weekend’s conference and share their experiences.

These photos of Colin Farrell’s hot arms while he’s out on Toronto remind me of that video of Ryan Gosling breaking up a fight. (I wrote “Ryan Reynolds” at first. Poor Ryan Gosling.) I was so surprised to see how huge Ryan’s arms were that at first I thought Ryan was another guy in the video. Colin is more filled out than I would have guessed, but he’s not as buff as Ryan. He looks really good here apart from the goofy tattoo. It says “Rita” in the middle, which is his mom’s name and Jimmy Jr., his first son, is inscribed across the bottom. I can’t read the other name at the top.

Anyway the real story is that you can see the outline of Colin’s bulge in these workout pants. I was so mesmerized by his tight torso that I almost missed it. Kaiser is telling me he’s nicely endowed, since I defer to her to judge dong size. So I guess we know where he gets that swagger.

Colin is in Toronto filming that Total Recall remake, which Len Wiseman is directing and which also stars Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston and Jessica Biel. I don’t remember the original at all and I don’t consider it a classic so I couldn’t care less if it gets remade.

Fright Night came out a week and a half ago and it’s only made about $14.2 million after a $30 million budget. I should go see it while it’s still at the movies. Or maybe I’ll wait for the DVD. Hopefully they’ll make up some of that budget in DVD sales. If they’re smart they’ll put it out around Halloween.

Colin Farrell was a guest on Letterman Friday night. I’ve been dying to report on these sexy photos of him outside the studio with his shirt half open. He looked delectable as usual, and was promoting the Fright Night remake he stars in, which is out in the US next Friday, August 19. On the show, Farrell mentioned his two boys, Henry, nearly 2, and James, 7. (Both are from previous relationships with different women, but it’s not like Farrell talked about that at all.) James has a rare genetic condition called Angelman syndrome, which is characterized by motor, intellectual and speech delays and a positive affect. Farrell has discussed his son’s condition in the past, and said that he is blessed to have him in his life. In 2007, he said “I have never thought of my son as being someone with a disability. It goes back to special needs and what is a disability and what isn’t.” On Letterman, he addressed the need for more funding to research the condition and said that a doctor has cured the condition in mice. Colin Farrell appeared on Late Show With David Letterman last night to promote his upcoming movie, Fright Night, but also took a little time to give a shout out to CureAngelman.org and revealed that one of his sons has been diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome.

Colin has two sons James, 7, and Henry, almost 2, and briefly discussed his family with David Letterman.

“James, just a quick shout out if I can, James has a condition called Angelman Syndrome and it only affects one in 30,000 children, they say,” Colin said on Late Show. “So there’s not that much funding because it doesn’t benefit pharmaceutical companies, of course.”

The actor asked for anyone to help by visiting CureAngelman.org to help donate and then discussed a bit more about his son and how he was diagnosed.

“It was actually when a doctor saw how happy he was,” Colin explained. “He was like, ‘Does he always smile this much?’”

James started walking just short of his 4th birthday and doesn’t have any verbal speech, but Colin made sure to say that his boy is a “a really happy boy.”

For as much as Colin flits around to different women, he sure seems like a caring and devoted father. He’s also giving some invaluable attention to this cause.

Look at how shy Colin looks outside the studio with his hands crammed in his pockets. He’s doesn’t look too comfortable with the crowd. He also seemed a little nervous on the show.

Kaiser and I have a long running back-and-forth going on Colin Farrell, where I say I can take him or leave him because I just can’t get the In Bruges DVD out of my head. He smokes like a chimney during the DVD extras section and it’s just such a turn off to me. (Kaiser doesn’t mind.) Colin is otherwise so charming and funny and when I’ve seen him interviewed he just oozes sex. In a new interview with In Style, Colin reveals that I can put that particular reservation about him to rest, because he’s given up smoking and taken up exercise to combat stress and keep that tight body. He also has a lot of dreamy things to say about women, his friendship with Liz Taylor, and his love of vintage fashion. Colin is starring in the new Fright Night remake, and he says that he had his reservations about messing with a classic but that the script just won him over.

On choosing to do Fright Night
I got a call saying “They’re remaking Fright Night. Do you know it?” I said “Hell, yeah! I watched that horror film many times growing up. Why are the Hollywood philistines redoing it? [When I read the script] I was highly pissed off that I liked it as much as I did. I thought, God this could be so much fun.

You’ve even quit smoking right?
It was time. I was a 40-cigarette-a-day smoker, but I wasn’t enjoying it. So on my 34th birthday last year, I spent a day with a pack and consciously looked at every single puff until I smoked the last one at 11:55 that night. I did a whole ritual thing by writing a letter to tobacco, giving it as much significance as I possibly could. I’m done with it.

Though you have kept a little tabacco allegiance by wearing Dunhill suits
When I was younger, I know they sold cigarettes but didn’t know Dunhill had a line of clothes! They make beautiful suits and have been very kind to me over the years, clothing my back more than once at the Oscars and Golden Globes.

Otherwise, do you think about fashion?
Not so much – even though right now I’m wearing this gray All Saints shirt that I got at a photo shoot that I got at a photo shoot two weeks ago, Rock & Republic jeans, and John Varvatos boots. I’m a full
fledged fashion victim today. But usually I’ll pop down to Jet Rag, this secondhand clothes shop in L.A., and splash down $200 on 12 items. I got this brown leather wristband years ago – I don’t know where or when or how – but I love it.

Your reputation as a ladies’ man is well documented. You once declared, “I’m a huge fan of women.”
I love women; I always have. I was raised by an incredibly strong, kind and generous mother, and I have two wonderful sisters. It all started there. They’re beautiful, life-giving creatures, so, yes, I adore women completely.

One of them was Elizabeth Taylor, who praised you as Richard Burton reincarnated. At her funeral you read a beautiful but very complex poem, “The Leaden Echo and the Golden Echo,” by Gerard Manley Hopkins, which couldn’t have been easy.
No, that wouldn’t be her style to make it easy on me. It was one of her favorites, if not her very favorite poem. She was an amazing woman, and I was grateful to have shared some times with her in the last year and a half of her life. I was truly lucky to bask in her presence intellect, generosity, kindness and sense of fun.

Let’s hit on your Irishness. Your countrymen are great authors. Are you a huge reader?
I’m not voracious, but I have an anthology of Yeats poetry that’s probably the book I’ve kept going back to for years.

Do you read it on a Kindle now?
I couldn’t. I love the weight and smell of a book and turning the pages. But who knows, maybe it’ll be another of those “I don’t go to the gym” moments, and you cut to Colin Farrell 2013, and he’s got a Kindle and a little earpiece, talking on the phone while he’s running on a treadmill.

You can tell he loves fashion and shopping but won’t admit it outright. I’d love to go vintage shopping with him. I also adore how he doesn’t seem to take himself or his ideas too seriously and jokes about how he might end up with a kindle after all.

For as much as I crush on him, Farrell will never quite be the same to me after I read that excerpt from his ex girlfriend’s book about how he kind of strung her along and then broke her heart. He doesn’t seem to have the best relationship with women, but he talks a good game around it and he’ll never be lacking for companionship.

I honestly feel like I could get pregnant just from looking at photos of Colin Farrell. It’s different with other dudes that I like – say, Gerard Butler. I’ll look at a photo of Gerard, and I’ll stare at for a while, analyzing his hair or his clothes, checking to see if I can make out a glorious bulge. With Colin, I feel like I have to look away. Like, I can’t stare too hard or else I’ll get pregnant, or worse. If anyone is capable of inseminating a woman without being in the room, it’s Colin. He’s just that virile.

Anyway, these are photos of Colin and his man-cleavage at the MMVAs last night. I don’t know why his shirt is unbuttoned so far, especially considering the night was pretty heavy on the tweens. Most of the people there were underage? And here’s Dirty Uncle Colin, getting 13-year-olds pregnant with a piercing gaze and half a pec.

Colin was in Toronto for the MMVAs because he’s filming Total Recall in town. He arrived there a while back, but Jessica Biel (his costar) just came to town last week. Now we can look forward to many, many, MANY stories pushed by Biel’s rep about how Colin is getting Jessica pregnant with his cupcakes or whatever. According to a “preview” of Biel’s agenda, an insider told The Mail last week that Biel “loves Colin’s accent and personality. She’s completely over Justin, she’s having fun being single and thinks Colin is a blast. They’ve been hanging out between takes and Colin’s suggested they go out after work.” Biel better watch out. Colin isn’t going to be down with some PR-friendly thing. He’ll just get her pregnant and dump her.

I don’t know how else to say this. I TOLD YOU SO. Bitches. So many of you were like “Oh, Jessica Biel is such a nice girl, maybe men are just falling all over her because she has such a great personality, you’re SO MEAN and such a terrible un-feminist for suggesting otherwise.” My claim that Jessica Biel was trying to ride Gerard Butler’s jock was confirmed when she managed to get herself a pap-friendly “ride” on his “motorcycle”. Then, in standard Butler form, right after he does a photo op with a pushy, clingy lady trying to work a fauxmance, he made sure he was spotted publicly flirting with other ladies. In this particular incidence, I totally called that one too – I noted that when Gerard appeared at the CFDAs, he was likely trolling for “the extra girl” that he when the tabloids try to put him with someone like Biel. The “extra girls” in this case were Lady Gaga and Ashley Greene.

If that wasn’t enough for you, I ALSO predicted this next story when I found out that Rosario Dawson hadn’t gotten the supporting part in the Total Recall remake, starring Colin Farrell in the Schwarzenegger role. The part went to Jessica Biel, and I wrote “…Something tells me that Jessica Biel might try to get in there first? Why oh why is Biel always put with the compulsive womanizers? Her first post-breakup costar was Gerard Butler, and now she’s going to work with Colin? Let’s see her try to push stories about how Colin is hard up for her and how they go on cupcake-buying trips.” Here’s the story in the Daily Mail:

And so it begins. But Biel isn’t going to find Colin as amenable and easy as Gerard. Don’t get me wrong: Colin is VERY easy. He’s bone anything and anyone. But he doesn’t have Gerard’s history of fauxmances and such. Colin literally has relationships with costars and gets them pregnant. But hopefully he’s stopped doing that at this point. And hopefully he won’t be interested in Biel – I think most men see through her. Fingers crossed.

But I look forward to hearing lots of stories about Colin and Jessica buying cupcakes for the crew and how Colin is so desperate to get into her pants, because she’s so beautiful and successful and independent, and how she is definitely, positively not stalking Colin. I’m waiting patiently.

This report from Star Magazine would be a little bit more interesting if Rosario Dawson could actually manage to get a smaller, supporting part in a big-budget action film remake. Unfortunately, it came down to Rosario and Jessica Biel for Total Recall (the remake starring Colin Farrell), and somehow Biel was deemed more relevant. Shocking. Literally. Rosario and Jessica are equally irrelevant in my opinion, but Rosario is a better actress and way sexier than Biel. Anyway, Star Magazine had a story about how Rosario wanted the Total Recall part because she wants to finally, at long last, bone Colin Farrell:

Newly single Rosario Dawson is on the prowl! She already has her eye on Colin Farrell, Star has learned – although she just pulled the plug on her lengthy romance with French DJ Mathieu Schreyer.

“She’s already had real chemistry with Colin,” reveals a source close to the curvy brunette, who is up for a role in the new Total Recall remake. “Rosario has had a crush on him for years.”

Although sparks flew when Rosario and Colin shot the 2004 epic Alexander, the source adds, they have never been single at the same time since. But now the door seems open for the big-screen hotties to finally hook up.

“They would be spending lots of time together making Total Recall,” says the source. “Rosario intends to take full advantage of the situation.”

Yesterday, somebody was trying to tweet me suggestions for Hot Guy Friday, and she listed “Jude Law, Colin Barrel…” Which really should be Colin Farrell’s handle, right? We could call him Colin “Double Barrel” Farrell. It’s kind of perfect. Anyway, Colin is on today’s Ellen DeGeneres show, and he’s really trying to win us over. Like, he doesn’t want us to think that he’s out there, boning randoms whenever the urge strikes. Oh, Colin. I don’t believe you.

Despite his playboy reputation, Colin Farrell is a one-woman kind of guy. During a Friday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 34-year-old Horrible Bosses actor says he’s single — and he’s not exactly on the prowl, either.

“I was never much for dating,” he explains. “I was much for a few things, but I kind of usually went decent-ish amount of time.”

“So you’re a monogamous person?” host Ellen DeGeneres asks.

“Yeah?” Farrell, who has two sons from two different relationships, responds.

“That was a question,” DeGeneres, 53, laughs. “That was not an answer.”

“No, I think when I answer yes to something like that, I’m kind of shocked myself that I’m answering yes,” Farrell explains. “That’s why it was a question. I’m kind of like, ‘Colin do you really believe yourself?’”

The subtext: Colin isn’t even a good enough actor to pull off the monogamy line. I think Colin wants to believe it of himself: that he’s the kind of guy who is looking for a stable, monogamous relationship. And hey, maybe he is. Maybe he’s a serial monogamist who goes from one stable relationship to another. But I doubt it. I think that even though he’s sober and his life is on a much healthier track, Colin will still bone pretty much any girl, at any time. By the way, that’s why I’ve always kind of loved him too: realistically, I have a shot. He will bone anything, ergo, he will bone me. I have a shot with him for one night (or one hour, whatever).

In other Colin news, he’s signed on to work with his In Bruges director again, in the film Seven Psychopaths (horrible title, I hope they change it). He’ll be working with Sam Rockwell (yes!) and Christopher Walken. Also, you know how Colin is doing the Total Recall remake? Ethan Hawke just signed on too. Yay!

Although we didn’t do much coverage of it, there was a lot of faux-scandal surrounding the production of Horrible Bosses, most of it centered around media darling Jennifer Aniston. Aniston, you see, “went rogue” and out of her comfort zone of “scarf-and-wedge-wearing romantic comedy heroine” for this film. She took a supporting role in an ensemble cast that includes Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis (Aniston’s one-time alleged boyfriend for about a minute), Charlie Day, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell. Aniston, Farrell and Spacey play the “horrible bosses” and the other dudes are the employees who hate them. The trailer just came out, and it doesn’t look bad at all:

Random thoughts:

*It’s good to see Kevin Spacey in a mainstream comedy, isn’t it? I love him when he does quirky character parts.

*Aniston looks good in this dark brunette wig (with bangs trauma that isn‘t hideous either!). She allegedly went topless for some scenes, but producers aren’t including Anistonipple in the finished film.

*Colin Farrell – WTF? I appreciate that he’s stepping out of his comfort zone too and playing some bald, pot-bellied, handicap-hating d-bag. But why not just cast someone who actually looks like that? Why do you have to turn such a pretty man so, so ugly?

*It’s also nice to see Charlie Day branch out into film!

*Jason Bateman can wear the hell out of a suit. Something tells me that Jason plus Spacey equals magic.

*Jason Sudeikis…meh.

* JAMIE FOXX?!? I didn’t even know he was in this!

One of the more interesting sidenotes about Elizabeth Taylor’s funeral was that Colin Farrell was one of the few celebrity attendees. Many of us were like “Um, they were friends? Ugh, Colin had sex with Elizabeth, didn’t he?” Because Colin has sex with everybody. Even older ladies. Well, Colin has given a new interview in which he discusses his friendship with Elizabeth, and how their relationship started. He doesn’t come right out and say that they had sex, but I would be willing to wager money that he at least tried to go to bed with her. You know he was up for it.

Colin Farrell was one of the few non-family members who attended Elizabeth Taylor’s private funeral last week — but why?

“How did we become friends? You know, the old story of boy meets girl, the boy pesters girl with too many phone calls at inappropriate hours of the night,” Farrell, 34, tells Access Hollywood.

“I was just lucky enough to become her friend in the last year and a half,” the actor added. “I adore her…still.”

Taylor, who passed away of congestive heart failure at the age of 79, spoke of her fondness for Farrell in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

“I love Johnny Depp, and I love Colin Farrell,” she told Kim Kardashian, who conducted the interview. “They’re both brilliant, nuanced actors with great range.”

As a result of their unlikely friendship, the Horrible Bosses actor was asked to recite Gerard Manley Hopkin’s poem, “The Leaden Echo and the Golden Echo,” at Taylor’s funeral.

“Elizabeth chose it. It was a tricky poem as well,” Farrell laughed. “Even in passing she had me under the thumb, sweating bricks.”

Farrell admits he’s still having a hard time coping with the loss of his friend. “I just miss her,” he said.

Aw, that was really sweet. I enjoy Sober Colin so much more than Drunk Colin. But you know, Elizabeth still enjoyed getting liquored up, especially in her later years. She was a frequent of many Hollywood gay bars, where the drinks were strong and the boys were adoring. Considering that Colin puts a time frame on their friendship – a year and half putting it in his post-rehab frame – I’d say they probably were not drinking buddies. Well, Colin wasn’t drinking. I’m sure Elizabeth was. And I’m sure she adored her little Irish friend. So sweet!
