While Colin Farrell was in Toronto, he confirmed that his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda is totally pregnant. This was the opposite of shocking, considering Alicja was photographed sporting a sizeable second-trimester baby bump just a few weeks before Colin “confirmed”. But it was still nice. Colin obviously adores his girl, and he seemed totally excited about being a father to his second child (that we know about).

In the back of my mind was the small, tiny, itsy-bitsy idea that Alicja maybe got pregnant as a way to nail down the historically commitment-phobic Colin. Of course, I doubted that was Alicja’s sole reason for getting pregnant – after all, if I was having sex with Colin Farrell, I would be permanently knocked up with Irish babies all year ‘round. Unfortunately, Star Magazine is reporting that Alicja’s family are now pretty desperate for her to marry Colin:

Alicja and Colin have a baby on the way this winter – so her family is pressing him to make her an honest woman ASAP!

“Alicja’s parents in Poland met Colin and liked him a lot,” says a source. “But they’re old-fashioned.”

Still, Colin, 33, is in no rush to tie the knot a second time. His four-month marriage to Amelia Warner ended in 2001.

Says the source, “He’s crazy about Alicja, but he’s quite happy being single.”

I don’t know, I really don’t. I want to believe Colin changed with the birth of his son, James, in 2004. I want to believe that Colin is now a nice boy – I mean, a nice boy who will do really dirty things with you, but a guy who can make a commitment and stick with it. Is he that guy? Or is he still the old, womanizing commitment-phobe we all fell in love with, then fell out of love with, and then fell back in love with? My guess is that Colin would probably marry Alicja if she told him that was what she really wanted – so perhaps the only people who really want them to get hitched are her parents.

By the way, Colin has been doing some press for Ondine, the Neil Jordan film where he and Alicja met and fell in love. I found this beautiful LAT interview with Neil Jordan and Colin where they’re talking about the film, and the character Colin plays, who is an alcoholic fisherman.

Colin said: “[Playing an alcoholic] doesn’t make it any more attractive, or make me hesitant to be a part of it…Maybe what it does is the whole world of addiction and alcoholism is demystified for me. I understand what it is because I’ve been through my version of it. So it’s completely demystified, which means I’m cool to have a little bit of fun with it, and I also understand the gravity of it. It’s serious business, and I understand the mechanism of it a little bit. His wife left him, he’s a recovering alcoholic and he’s got a terminally ill daughter. As an actor you go, oh, the drama, the pain — or I do anyway, as I tend to the potential to be histrionic. But he has no self-pity at all. He’s just getting on with the business of living and doing the best he can do.” Sigh. I love me some brooding Irishmen.

A few weeks ago, many of us were rather startled to see pictures of Colin Farrell and his girlfriend of less than a year at LAX. I wasn’t surprised that Colin looked edible (of course) or that his girlfriend, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda is so lovely. No, I was startled by the rather significant “baby bump” Alicja was showing off in a simple black mini-dress. Now Colin Farrell is confirming our suspicions by confirming the happy news to Us Weekly while he was doing press at the Toronto Film Festival (and looking very edible):

Colin Farrell is having another baby, Usmagazine.com confirms.

The actor confirmed that he and girlfriend Alicja Bachleda were expecting their first child together at the Toronto Film Festival on Saturday evening.

Farrell, 33, and the Polish actress, 26, began dating earlier this year.

This will be the second child for the Irish star. He has a 5-year-old son, James, with model Kim Bordenave.

I am thrilled for Colin and Alicja, and I hope they’re very happy together. I hope the mother and child are healthy and all of that. All that being said, isn’t it interesting that she got knocked up so quickly? It was just January and February when they began working together on Ondine, and Alicja must have gotten knocked up quickly afterwards. No judgment – it’s just interesting to me. God knows, if I was nailing Colin, I would probably get pregnant too. It’s not like it’s a Jude Law situation, where Colin doesn’t even remember the girl – I think Colin is totally in love, and probably thrilled to have another baby on the way. Colin Farrell has most likely impregnated his Polish girlfriend, Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. The two were spotted at LAX over the weekend, and Alicja seems to be sporting a significant second-trimester baby bump. That’s what it looks like to me. The Sun is running with this story as “pregnancy rumors” while Colin’s fansite is saying “Alicja is obviously very pregnant.” Several Polish sites seem to be declaring the pregnancy a sure thing too, although my Polish might be a little rusty. It looked like the Polish site Pudelek was saying something about “Crazy Babies” but I think I mistranslated.

If Alicja is pregnant (and seriously, I’m pretty sure she is, her “bump” is much too big to be a food baby), this will be Colin’s second child (that we know about). His oldest child is five-year-old James, whom Colin shares custody of with model Kim Bordenave. James has Angelman Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the nervous system. Becoming a father to James in 2004 seemed to have changed Colin for the better. Once he became a father, Colin went through rehab and has been clean and sober since 2005. He credited James and fatherhood for his transformation, saying in a recent interview, “I don’t know if I would be here if I hadn’t had him. He was a huge part of me going in and making certain changes in my life.”

Colin and Alicja have allegedly been together most of this year, after working together on the film Ondine. At most, I think Colin and Alicja have been together for about seven months – so Alicja might have gotten knocked up pretty quickly. In Alicja’s defense, if I were bangin’ Colin, I’d probably get knocked up in a hurry too. Just because I imagine the sex would be constant. And hot. And dirty. Sigh. Lucky bitch.

For his part, Colin seems very happy. I think he’s in a really good place in his life, and he probably worships Alicja. Through their relationship, there have been rumors that Colin was eager to really settle down with Alicja. They’re most likely living together in his house in Los Angeles, and there are rumors Colin bought a home in Poland too. I’m sure Colin will confirm Alicja’s pregnancy sometime soon – perhaps at the Toronto Film Festival, where their film Ondine will premiere!

Sometimes, when it’s a slow day, CB and I e-mail about boys, like Gerard Butler, Matt Damon, or even Ralph Fiennes. Colin Farrell is a favorite, but CB can’t get over the fact that Colin smokes like a chimney. Personally, I’m just happy he’s not all drunk and coked-up anymore. He seems to be healthier than ever, and working steadily. His name rarely pops up in the tabloids these days, and I don’t even know if he’s still with his maybe live-in love, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus. My guess is that they’re still together, considering Colin has been keeping his head down while filming London Boulevard - in London, obviously. There have been no reports about crazy womanizing, or hotel hookups, or strippers. So either Colin has gotten better at hiding that stuff, or he’s staying loyal to Alicja. These are some new pictures from the set of London Boulevard. Colin looks sweet, doesn’t he? Like a lost puppy. I like his hair cut short like that.

Colin met his lady love Alicja on the set of Ondine, which was filmed and set in Ireland. It’s about a fisherman (Colin) who finds a mermaid (Alicja) out at sea. First Showing has some exclusive images from the film, and they’re just gorgeous. Colin’s hair is really long in the film, and he looks good and dirty and scruffy. Alicja really is f-cking gorgeous. Gah! They look so pretty together.

More good news for Colin: he topped a recent poll in Ireland for “Favorite Fantasy Father”. This means that “Irish women said they would like hard-partying Farrell to be the father of their child” more than anyone else. Now, I love me some Colin Farrell, but I don’t really want to have his baby. I save my baby-daddy fantasies for Gerard Butler, Seth MacFarlane and Keith Olbermann (seriously). But it’s nice that Irish women think “Colin Farrell” when they hear the words “Daddy”. And “Daddy” wasn’t even proceeded by “Spank me”!

You know it’s going to be a good day when there are new pictures of Colin Farrell and Gerard Butler, both wearing the hell out of some suits. Sigh. I had a dream about the two of them the other night. They were friends, and they invited me to dinner. Gerard told me to order whatever I wanted while Colin tried to feel me up. I ordered a steak, and tried to get into Gerard’s pants while Colin tried to get into mine. It was an awesome dream. CB claims that Colin would be a better catch, but I had to respectfully disagree. I love Colin and everything (and I definitely wouldn‘t kick him out of bed), but I think Gerry would be the better boyfriend. For her part, CB acknowledges that Gerry has a “leg up” because he’s so friggin’ big. We both love the big guys.

Back to reality – Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl attended the premiere of their film The Ugly Truth last night in Hollywood. I’m laughing myself silly at these pictures, they’re so funny. My favorites are the ones where Gerry is licking Katherine’s face, and then in the next photo he’s making an “icky” face like she tastes bad. He probably got a tongue full of makeup. Meanwhile, the whole time Katherine is just posing her butt off. They do look really cute together, and it seems like they were both hamming it up for the cameras. Very cute.

Not so cute? Katherine’s whole look. Taken separately, I could see how different parts could work on their own, but all together the combination is kind of rough. The dress isn’t terrible, but the color washes her out a little. CB doesn’t like Heigl’s hair, but I don’t think it looks too bad. I kind of like the darker reddish-brown. My biggest complaints: too much jewelry and too much makeup. Heigl is a pretty girl, she doesn’t need all of that crap on her face. Gerry was just doing his part to get some of it off… using his tongue. But those necklaces! They make her look like a grandmother.

On an added Gerard Butler note, he was on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien last night. I haven’t seen the whole interview, but Radar has a funny clip of him talking about the romance rumors. He jokes about how he and Jennifer Aniston are going to get married, then says after that, he’s going to marry Cameron Diaz and Joan Rivers.

Oh, and here are some new pictures of the lovely (but sort of small) Colin Farrell, on the set of London Boulevard. He and Ray Winstone were apparently shooting a scene in the rain last night in London. Damn… put Colin in a great suit, and that boy is fine.

Colin Farrell was out last night with his sister, Claudine, celebrating his 33rd birthday (May 31st) at Nobu in Los Angeles. He’s a Gemini, which is like the worst astrological sign to date. And yet, I still love him. His sister Claudine is Colin’s personal assistant, and it doesn’t seem like he was celebrating his birthday with anyone else. Not even his alleged girlfriend, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus. Considering Alicja was nowhere to be seen on his birthday, I’d say they aren’t as serious as the earlier reports indicated.

I dated a Gemini many years ago, and he was a drama queen. I don’t want to think that Colin is like that, but he may be. The photo agency is making a big deal about Colin wearing these very scruffy old boots. They look about a hundred years old, and he should try polishing them, but other than that, what’s the big deal? He’s wearing a pair of comfortable old boots, probably his favorite. He’s probably broken them in perfectly by now. I used to have a pair of Doc Martens and once I broke them in, they were the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. Colin’s boots are probably the same way – and it’s birthday, for goodness sake! Let him wear his comfortable shoes!

Colin Farrell is heading down the aisle… as his brother’s best man. His brother Eamon, as devoted Colin-loonies know, is openly gay, and Eamon has decided to make an honest man out of his long-time boyfriend Steven Mannion. Word of the engagement spread last year, and I even found this report on a gay-issues website Pink News that “It is rumored Colin… helped Eamon choose a diamond and sapphire-studded ring for his boyfriend.” Aww, that’s so sweet. Sapphires are a gentleman’s best friend!

Eamon is a dance instructor and his soon-to-be husband is an artist. Colin and older bro Eamon are reportedly very close, even owning homes just down the street from each other in Dublin. Unfortunately, Eamon and Steven won’t be getting married in Ireland – the country doesn’t even recognize anything along the lines of civil unions or domestic partnerships for gay couples. So where will Eamon and Steven marry? It’s still up in the air, but Eamon is thinking somewhere in Europe.

He’s the perpetual bachelor who’s yet to find a woman who can make an honest man out of him, but ladykiller Colin Farrell is set to walk down the aisle – as the best man at his gay brother’s wedding.

The Hollywood star’s brother Eamon Farrell, who will be marrying partner Steven Mannion in front of a host of family and friends at a European hotspot this summer, has revealed that Colin may play the key role at his upcoming nuptials.

Colin, who will be attending the wedding along with other close family and friends, is also likely to be heading down the aisle with his two sisters who will be bridesmaids.

This will be the first gay wedding in his Irish family, but professional choreographer Eamon has expressed dismay at being unable to marry in his home country saying: ‘We have to get married abroad. It’s absolutely terrible. We have to go somewhere legal, which narrows it down to about five countries.’

Speaking at his partner’s art exhibition at the Oriel gallery in Dublin, Eamon said about his long-term partner: ‘I can’t wait to marry him. He is the most wonderful, happy person. He is always so full of positive energy.’

And joking about his decision to opt for a full marriage instead of a civil union, he said: ‘I don’t really like civil union cake — I want a wedding cake at my party. Who wants a civil union? It’s just so legal.’

‘I want to be able to get married. The Government’s paper on civil unions is only for gay people. If you’re straight you can’t have one. So that’s not fair either. If you want a civil union you should be able to do it, if I want to get married I should be able to do it.’

But don’t expect to see images of Colin holding his brother’s coat tails as he walks down the aisle in any of the weeklies.

‘We definitely won’t be doing a magazine deal. Are you kidding?’ he shrieked. ‘Oh my God, I’d be mortified. Colin is famous, I’m not.’

Meanwhile, with no sign of settling down, Colin, who’s been out of the spotlight for some time now, re-emerged Thursday night in Los Angeles with a mystery blonde in tow.

Reports have come in steadily that Colin Farrell is pretty serious about his new girlfriend, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus. The two met last year while working on Neil Jordan drama Ondine, a film about an Irish fisherman (Farrell) who finds a girl/mermaid (Alicja) in his net. I guess it’s like Splash, but in Ireland, maybe? Colin denied dating anyone for months and months, even going so far as to proclaim his celibacy. The celibacy didn’t last long (if it even existed in the first place), because Colin and Anicja have been spotted together in Europe and America consistently over the past few months. Now this latest news, from Star Magazine – Colin is so in love with Alicja, he’s asked her to move in with him. Something about how he wants her to cook for him. If that’s all he’s looking for in a girlfriend, why hasn’t he found me?

Home is definitely where the heart is for Colin Farrell! The reformed bad boy, 32, went gaga for gorgeous Alicja Bachleda-Curus when the two shot the drama Ondine last summer, as Star revealed – and now he’s asked her to move into his $4.3 million Hollywood Hills pad.

If this was the old Colin Farrell who shagged every woman he saw, I would doubt the authenticity of anything having to do with this report. I would even doubt that Colin has some big Hollywood Hills home. But I tend to think there’s a lot of truth to it now. Colin really is a changed man, he’s not the hellraiser he once was. He’s clean and sober and he’s in an adult relationship and has been for a while. And he probably does have a big house in Hollywood – his son James probably spends most of the time with his mother, in Los Angeles, and Colin probably bought the house to be closer to the boy.

A few months ago, Colin gave a particularly heart-wrenching and honest interview about his special-needs son, rehab and his own “profound sadness”. Colin said, “I don’t know if I would be here if I hadn’t had [James]… He was a huge part of me going in and making certain changes in my life… The negative aspect to all this good fortune was loneliness. I never figured it out…I just had a broken heart and was profoundly sad. I had all these wonderful things in my life and yet I found myself at this point.” Sigh… so Irish, isn’t he? But I totally believe him, and if Alicja makes him happy, so be it. He deserves it!

I realize a lot of people don’t buy into the new and improved Colin Farrell, but I’m all over him. The now-sober and still-sexy Irish star sat down for an intense interview on Irish TV, and OK Magazine (UK) has the details on the interview.

Colin claims that his son James saved his life, saying “I don’t know if I would be here if I hadn’t had him…He was a huge part of me going in and making certain changes in my life.” He reflects back on the years he spent drinking, doing drugs and bed-hopping with a simple admission: “I had a blast of a time. I went over to Los Angeles and it was handed to me on a plate, parties in the Playboy mansion and this and that and the other.”

But all of the Playboy bunnies in the world couldn’t fill the metaphorical hole in Colin’s heart. Colin went to rehab in 2005, and by all accounts has been clean and sober ever since. He says, “The negative aspect to all this good fortune was loneliness. I never figured it out… I just had a broken heart and was profoundly sad. I had all these wonderful things in my life and yet I found myself at this point.” Colin makes me swoon, he really does. I love him!

Hollywood superstar Colin Farrell has said he would be dead today if it wasn’t for his six-year-old son James.

In a revealing interview the In Bruges actor has also told how he has a “propensity for addiction” and struggled with his identity after coming out of rehab.

The 32-year-old star had James with model Kim Bordenave. The boy suffers from a nerve disorder.

By several tabloid accounts, Colin is single now, having broken up with journalist Emma Forrest a few months ago. For a few days, there were rumors about Colin and Keira Knightley, but they didn’t seem to go anywhere, except for my wish to see the name-combination “Cholera”. Then, just after the Keira reports died down, there was a rumor circulating that I tend to believe – that Colin was trying something new with his life: celibacy. Since that report, he hasn’t been photographed with any women, and he’s been keeping a pretty low profile. Could it be that Colin is waiting for me?

A friend of the actor tells British tabloid the Daily Star on Sunday, “He has a whole new outlook on life. As far as he is concerned he finally has the right work/life balance. And, for once, that doesn’t include women.”

Concerned with “the right work/life balance”? I believe this is called maturity. This is called “not being in your twenties anymore”. This is called “not buying every girl in the bar a drink and then taking them all back to your hotel room for a drunken orgy”. I applaud Colin’s new-found maturity and outlook on life.
