Kris Jenner could be on Dancing With The Stars next (Update: 14 yo Kylie’s date)

For as much as we all despise the stupid, annoying, superficial, ubiquitous, famewhore, lying (I could go on) Kardashians, they’re not freaking going away. All the Internet petitions and negative comments in the world aren’t going to make them disappear when they’re still scoring huge ratings for their reality shows on E! It’s all about the numbers.

A lesser-known and more likable Kardashian, Rob, earned second place on this season’s Dancing with The Stars, and now the head pimp mama matriarch, the one responsible for this mess, Kris Jenner, could be on the show next. Rob Shuter of HuffPo reports that the show is courting Kris, because the Kardashians generate so much buzz. Just like a fly in the house that bothers you all day, evading all attempts to kill it.

Now that the latest season of “Dancing with the Stars” has ended, producers are already busy trying to find celebrities to go pointed-toe-to-toe next season. And this time they’ve got their eye on the mother of all Kardashians — Kris Jenner.

“They have already had Kim and brother Rob Kardashian on the show and now they are hoping to get mamma Kris to swing her hips,” an insider told me. “Love them or hate them, the Kardashians bring a huge amount of media and buzz to anything they do and having Kris join the next show would be a smart and controversial move, which is exactly what this show loves to do.”

In the past, “Dancing” hasn’t shied away from casting divisive competitors — Kate Gosselin, Bristol Palin and Chaz Bono, to name a few. Producers have done so with the knowledge that, when it comes to ratings, hate trumps indifference every time.

“They have already asked Robin Quivers from the ‘Howard Stern Show’ to join next season, but she has turned them down for a fourth time, saying she doesn’t want to take that much time away from Howard,” a source close to Stern’s show told me. “So expect Kris to get her offer in the next few weeks.”

[From Huffington Post]

Well DWTS took this same tactic with Kate Gosselin and ended up with record ratings while Kate came across like the uncoordinated witch that she is. So as much as I hate to admit it, this could be a win-win. Kris might come off badly while DWTS doesn’t care as long as they get ratings. We keep waiting for the final nail with the family and it just never comes. Maybe because they have so many damn people. I think Kris had six kids knowing that she would make them into money-makers some day. It happened for her, and she created some daughters in her own truly awful mold. The fact that some of them seemed to turn out more tolerable just points to the fact that she probably wasn’t an involved parent.

Update: I just saw this story where Kris’ youngest daughter, 14 year-old Kylie, went on a date with an Australian pop singer named Cody Simpson and got photographed by the paparazzi. Kris is now pimping out her 14 year-old daughter’s first dating experiences. There are no words, or maybe there are just too many of them that flood my mind in an angry blur.

The winner of Dancing with The Stars is…

J.R. Martinez and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, took home the mirror ball trophy on last night’s Dancing with the Stars finale! Martinez, a wounded Iraqi war vet turned soap star, won the public over with his personality, compelling story and incredibly coordinated moves. Coming in second was Kim Kardashian’s little brother, Rob, who improved immensely this season and earned perfect scores from the judges on Monday. Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough were a close third.

After a topsy-turvy season of sore ankles and even sorer losers, Dancing with the Stars ended Tuesday night by pitting an unlikely frontrunner against a heroic survivor.

After Ricki Lake, 43, was eliminated earlier in the show, Rob Kardashian, 24, the reality TV brother often overshadowed by his famous – and infamous – older sisters went against J.R. Martinez, 28, the soldier-turned-actor whose triumph over severe burns received in Iraq brought raw emotion to the ballroom.

For their final dance, a samba which both couples had to choreograph on the fly, each earned perfect scores, leaving Kardashian with a one point lead after two nights of competition. But the judges’ scores make up only half the final results. Once the viewers’ votes were tabulated, the winner was determined. Keep reading to find out who won:

It was J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff!

Smirnoff covered her face and began crying when she heard the news.

“First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who voted for us for 10 weeks,” Martinez said. “Thank you, America, for believing in us.”

Then he addressed his dance partner, telling Karina, “You are amazing, and I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of your first mirror-ball trophy.”

When he was awarded his mirror-ball trophy, Martinez hoisted it high above his head as confetti rained down.

Runner-up Rob Kardashian, who was paired with Cheryl Burke, echoed Martinez’s celebratory sentiments. “I’m super thankful,” he said, after the results were announced. “This is such a crazy experience. I’m definitely not sad. I won in my book.”

[From People]

I’m really happy for J.R. I’ve only seen a few episodes this season, but I found the guy so likable and he’s definitely the best dancer. It’s surprising because usually the best dancers are athletes who are necessarily more attuned to their bodies, but he’s a soldier, a motivational speaker and an actor. His website reveals that he nearly played professional football coming out of high school, but that he suffered an injury in his senior year and ended up enlisting in the army instead. Congratulations to J.R. and Karina!

Guess who got voted off DWTS?

1319635671_chaz-bono-4671
I wasn’t even going to report on this but everyone is covering it and making a big deal about it so I might as well. Chaz Bono got voted off DWTS finally. He probably held on a few more weeks due to the novelty factor and the fact that he was doing ridiculous theme dances. Two weeks ago it was a Rocky dance complete with ugly matching boxing robes, a set of stairs and fists in the air. This week it was Phantom of The Opera. It wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, but there was an organ, a mask and some fake laughing involved. That video is below. Dude can’t dance and it has to do with his rhythm and footwork, not his size. When Chaz was voted off this week he said a bunch of stuff on camera about being inspiring for kids going through transgender issues, only he was more vague about it to make it acceptable for ABC’s viewing audience. It was nice and didn’t come across as preachy as some are trying to make it.

Anyway apparently Chaz took issue with some of the negative ways that outspoken judge Bruno Tonioli described him.

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, who once again scored the lowest (with only 19 points) for their Phantom of the Opera tango, feel particularly wounded by the judges’ use of animal comparisons in critiquing the couple.

Bruno Tonioli offered this reaction to their routine: “It was like watching a cute little penguin try to be a big, menacing bird of prey. “It has to be menacing, dark, dangerous, hypnotic … like a panther stalking.”

“I always go out there and give my best and I feel like I’ve improved week to week and I don’t feel like this week was any different,” Bono, 42, told PEOPLE after Monday’s show.

“They called you an animal,” Schwimmer said. “They said you have a bad personality … I think it’s fair to say he’s not a favorite.”

Bono elaborated about the “disrespectful” animal comparisons. “I’ve been called an Ewok, a cute and cuddly bear, now tonight a penguin,” he said. “It’s disrespectful to me. ”

“It’s rude and unnecessary, and as his friend I’m embarrassed,” Schwimmer said. “We are both anti-bullying … And having the judges refer to him as animals or dis his personality, it’s unnecessary. It’s rude and it’s going back on everything that people are trying to fix. It’s disappointing that it has to be here and it has to be one of my friends.”

Schwimmer says she was so upset about what the judges said that she couldn’t hold back tears. “I cried today because I was so hurt, and I was so embarrassed that they had said that,” she said. “I’m glad that Maks stood up, because I was about to jump on that table and rip their heads off.”

[From People]

Schwimmer is referring to the fact that professional dancer Maksim mildly went off on the judges, particularly Len, when he said that his partner Hope Solo’s performance was the worst she’s given. They’re working very hard and emotions get heated, that’s understandable. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal that Bruno called Chaz a penguin. He uses animal analogies all the time. The Ewok one was kind of rude, but look at Chaz. It fits!

Cher tweeted her disappointment at the judges this week. It’s hard to tell what the hell she’s talking about, but if you put her tweets in order it’s obvious she’s pissed. “Thank u Carrie Ann 4 your Gentility u r beautiful inside & out ! To the Gentleman? I didn’t know who u We’re b4 which I guess is a blessing ! Going Home is Fine but why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of TALENT ! As for the Older Gentleman ….every Show Needs A Grumpy Old Man !

Cher cries while watching Chaz do a campy Rocky dance on DWTS

I’ve seen some cheesy, campy sh*t on “Dancing with The Stars,” but the Rocky theme song dance that Chaz did last night had to be the cheesiest. It was ridiculous. The dance opened with Chaz wearing boxing gloves and a red satin hoodie with his name emblazoned on the back. He threw some punches and joined his partner Lacey, who had on a matching blue hoodie that she stripped off dramatically. She wore an obnoxious denim split skirt with red and white stripes underneath that she kept swirling around. Her shiny red top had white stars running down it, and she was wearing white boots with what looked like white and red striped tube socks. It was like Bobby Trendy’s interpretation of Fourth of July ballroom. Then they did a bunch of strutting around and weird hand movements to the music. At the end Chaz actually ran up some stairs and started punching around in the air. It’s like he channeled all that camp from his childhood and condensed it into one baffling theme dance. Dude learned from the best. If I were his mom my mouth would have been hanging open afterwards, but not Cher. Cher was in the audience and she was clearly thrilled at Chaz’s performance. She even cried at one point.

With Cher in the crowd, Chaz Bono was the man of the hour on Dancing with the Stars Monday night, as he rebounded from consecutive sub-par performances to rack up a respectable 21/30 points for his paso doble set to the Rocky theme, which moved his mother to tears.

Cher wasn’t the only family member in the crowd to support Chaz, as his stepmother Rep. Mary Bono Mack of Palm Springs, half-brother Chesare Bono, half-sister Georganne LaPiere Bartylak and girlfriend Jennifer Elia were front-and-center at Hollywood’s CBS Television City to watch him take the floor.

“It was great to have everyone here — it pumped me up,” Chaz said Monday. “I know my mom was really proud of me and that was awesome. I’m glad that whatever we’re doing is touching people.

“It was a great night — last week was a hard week, and everyone knew I was kind of feeling bad about it, so to come back this week and have my whole family there, it was amazing.”

After injuries to his knee, ankle and right leg dragged Chaz into a two-week slump, the 42-year-old author/activist and his pro partner Lacey Schwimmer sought the help of 80s workout guru Richard Simmons to help lift Chaz’s spirits and keep his conditioning — it worked, as Chaz’s dance earned him a standing ovation from the crowd and high praise from the judges.

Carrie Ann Inaba told him she loved the dance and thinks he has “magic,” while Len Goodman told him, “It was your best dance to date.”

Bono, buoyed by Simmons’ encouragement, used the show’s elaborate staircase extensively in his number. He said that the injuries didn’t impact his ability to put his whole body into the demanding dance.

“It felt good: Going up stairs actually feels pretty good,” he explained. “Going down stairs is a little more challenging on my body right now. The adrenaline was pumping and I just did it.

“A couple of weeks ago I was in a lot of pain, and now I’m just in a little bit.”

Following the show, Chaz tweeted: “Amazing, Amazing Night!! … thanks to everyone for the support. I had an awesome time dancing the Rocky theme with @LaceySchwimmer and my whole family in the audience!”

His mother, Cher, was equally elated with the evening, as she tweeted: “OMG! I WAS CRYING ! WASNT EXPECTING 2 B SO NERVOUS ! BROKE MY BRACELET CLAPPING ! IM SO PROUD !! CHAZ WAS GREAT! LOVED DAVID ARQUETTE 2nd.”

[From Radar]

Good for Chaz, and I respect his chutzpah at putting himself out there. I don’t see that he’s a strong dancer at all in comparison to the other contestants, although he’s improved. He’ll probably hang on a little longer on the show, if only because he pulled out the feel good come-from-behind music and reminded us all of a great classic film. Plus we got distracted by everything that was going on. There was enough pomp in Chaz’s dance to rival some of his mom’s performances.

Here’s Chaz’s full performance. You can see Cher’s reaction in the video at the top of the page.

David Arquette confirms that he’s with Joe Francis’ ex wife, is “friends” with ex Courtney

wenn3478375
David Arquette called in to Howard Stern’s radio show yesterday, and like his previous talks with Stern he didn’t hold back. The 40 year-old Dancing with The Stars contestant revealed that he’s been dating an entertainment reporter based out of New York, Christina McLarty, who also happens to be the ex wife of Joe Francis. We first heard rumors that these two were together over the summer, and things seem to be getting serious for them.

David also said that he’s in “friends” territory with his estranged wife, Courteney Cox Arquette. Courteney has been seen in the audience on Dancing With The Stars along with their seven year-old daughter, Coco. The fact that David is happily dating again, and that he’s been with his new girlfriend for at least a few months, makes me wonder if he’s ever going to officially divorce Courteney. It’s nice that they’re keeping it civil, though. Here’s more:

Stern, of course, started in with questions about Courteney, asking David why she is in the audience every week at Dancing With the Stars and whether David is still pining for her.

“I’m not; we’re in the friend zone now,” he said, adding that Cox knows he’s been seeing someone new since the summer.

Even though Courteney’s in the crowd, Arquette says his new special somebody is the first one to call him every week after the show and that she just can’t be there because she lives in New York.

And who is that?

“It’s Barbara Walters,” David joked.

He didn’t give up his new gal’s name right away though, but eventually caved and admitted her name is Christina McLarty. McLarty is a reporter for Entertertainment Tonight, as well as being Girls Gone Wild Joe Francis’ ex-wife/domestic partner. Arquette says they met on a boat party early this past summer.

“She’s adorable. I’m not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good,” said Arquette.

David says the two have been Skyping up a storm and have taken a few road trips together since they hooked up in the summer months.

“We try to see each other as much as possible,” he said.

As for the show, David talked rehearsing and how he should cry on camera to get a sympathy vote from the public.

“I cried in rehearsal one day,” he revealed, joking that any one who was going to vote for him certainly won’t now. “I got overwhelmed with emotion.”

When Stern began talking about how he fast forwards through the “fat people dancing,” David revealed that he loves all different body types and said that he finds Lacey Schwimmer to be “one of the sexiest girls on the show.”

David, still sober, says because of the show and his new gal pal, “everything is good.”

[From E! Online]

David was going through such a hard time getting over Courteney, (and her infidelity which he refused to accept) so that’s nice to hear that he’s moved on. What I want to know is how a woman can go from a sociopathic probably abusive douche like Joe Francis to a sensitive funny good guy like Arquette. I mean Arquette has his problems, but he got booted by Courtney, not the other way around, and doesn’t seem to have cheated on her when they were together. He’s on this journey of sobriety and self discovery. He just seems vulnerable and sweet to me, while Francis is a manipulative jerk who makes titty films. Maybe McLarty realized that she needed to do a complete 180 from her ex if she wanted to be in a decent relationship. At least she got out of her marriage soon enough and divorced Francis within two months.

Also, that was really nice what Arquette said about finding Lacey Schwimmer sexy. When she dances and is dressed by other people, she really is. On her own she’s a hot mess, but that’s due to her fashion, not her size at all. I enjoy seeing Arquette on DWTS and I hope he hangs in there for a while. He was in the bottom two this week though, and narrowly missed being voted off.

This chick bears a very superficial resemblance to Courteney when she was younger.

Guess who got voted off DWTS (hint: man face & was replaced by a wrestler)

elisabetta1
Last night was the second week elimination for Dancing with The Stars, and the lackluster Elisabetta Canalis was voted off, despite tying for a respectable fourth in the judges’ scores this week. It looks like Elisabetta just didn’t have the name recognition, the compelling story, the likability or the rhythym to hang in there past the second week. Buh-bye to her. Sadly, David Arquette was in the bottom two after a goofy performance. I hope he brings it next week. Here’s more, from E!

Tonight, Dancing With the Stars said ciao to Elisabetta Canalis and partner, first year pro Val Chmerkovskiy. Canalis had struggled during her two weeks on the show, and when it came down to her and David Arquette on the chopping block, the viewers voted off the Italian beauty.

Unfortunately, Elisabetta and Val do not get to live to dance another week, as they got sent home tonight. “We had bad luck. It makes me sad. I’m sorry because Val was a great teacher. He didn’t deserve that,” she tells us sadly. “You can expect that from me because I’ve never been a dancer in my life, but he’s a champion.”

Her partner Val seemed equally upset over the outcome, more for her sake than his. “It’s not about me, it’s about her. It might sound a little cliché, but I’m not upset with me. I’m upset for her,” he says. “This is not my time to shine. This wasn’t my stage; this wasn’t my competition. I just wish she had another chance to shine.”

Elisabetta also filled us in on her post-DWTS plans, which sound pretty awesome to us. “I will gain weight for sure,” she laughs. “Of course I will not stop doing sports. Maybe I will take a little break from dancing. I’m a little bit sad now.”

[From E! Online]

Aw, her plans are to “gain weight,” meaning she has nothing on the table. Maybe she can do a photo op and plan a clothing line with Christian Audiger that will never materialize.

In related DWTS news, Nancy Grace claims her nip slip on Monday’s episode wasn’t a real nip and told TMZ that the object that was briefly shown on camera was a pasty or nip covering, not her actual nipple. She said “When I got dressed, I was wearing Petals (nipple covers) and an industrial strength bra … my dancing dress also had a bra sewn into it. I have been judged guilty without a trial … I will go to my grave denying the nip slip.” Oh Nancy, you judge people every night on your show, but when it comes to whether your boob popped out you can’t handle the fallout. It’s not like you’re accused of killing someone.

Nancy also denied the boob slip to E! and she went on about it even further, saying “That is not a nipple. That’s going to be on my gravestone. There was no nipple. I certainly don’t want my children to learn to read and read on the Internet that mommy’s a tramp and mommy flashed America! That did not happen. I deny, deny, deny it. You can’t break me. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.” She’s trying to be funny, but she still can’t own up to it. Check out Nancy’s boob here, if that’s a pasty they’re making them look exactly like silicone nipples complete with parts that poke out.

Here are Elisabetta’s two performances on DWTS.

Nancy Grace slips a nip on DWTS, won’t someone think of the children?

nancygrace
Uncensored version is here

Update: Here’s the video. I’m so sorry I forgot it! The incident is at :30 in.

Nancy Grace showed Nicki Minaj level nip during last night’s appearance on DWTS. Her chest was so precariously stuffed into her dress that after her dip at the end of the dance the right one popped out. For about a second you could see half of her saucer sized areola (at :30 into the clip above). The camera panned to the audience to cover up for it, and then Nancy recovered and adjusted herself. Host Tom Bergeron laughed and said “That’s all right, on the European version that would be perfectly fine.” Only this isn’t the European version and won’t someone please think of the children? They’re already traumatized and confused by a transgender dude dancing who somehow has the agenda of “tearing down traditional families.” It’s not gratuitous violence we should be shielding them from, it’s boobs!

In terms of the other performances last night (spoiler warning if you’re waiting to watch) the high scorer was none other than Ricki Lake! JR Martinez and Kristin Cavallari were next. We shouldn’t count limp noodle Elisabetta Canalis out yet, she could be a contender after tying for fourth with Chynna Phillips. Chaz is hanging in there, but was affected by swollen knee joints and scored the lowest. E! Online has a great recap if you’re interested.

ABC is also putting all the dances online, on their official YouTube Channel, this season. It’s great that they’re doing this, but they do cut them right after the dance and before the judges comment. So on their “official version,” we weren’t treated to Nancy’s minor wardrobe malfunction.

Here are more clips.

Ricky Lake & Derek Hough: 23 points for the jive. This is so much fun, but I think JR Martinez’s dance was better.

J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff: 22 points for the jive. He’s got serious moves

Kristin Cavallari & Mark Ballas: 22 points for the cha cha. Her Marilyn styling and this whole concept is so played out.

Chynna Phillips & Tony Dovolani: 21 points for the jive. She still bugs me.

Elisabetta Canalis & Val Chmerkovskiy: 21 points for the quick step. She improved but she really needs to be led around.

Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer: 17 points for the quick step. Chaz will hang on a couple more weeks, then he’ll be off.

There are more videos on ABC’s YouTube Channel

Chaz Bono shows his moves on the Dancing with the Stars premiere

Last night was the big premiere of “Dancing with The Stars,” and a lot of the new contestants really brought it. Most notably, Chaz Bono showed that he learned a thing or two growing up with Sonny and Cher. The judges praised him for his footwork and timing, and he and partner Lacey Schwimmer earned a judges’ score of 17 for their cha-cha, placing them the bottom-middle of the pack. Chaz looked a little nervous to me, and he needs to work on not holding his hand over his belly, but you can tell he put an effort in. David Arquette fared a bit better with a score of 18 for his Viennese Waltz with Kym Johnson. I just loved watching him dance. Here’s more, from E!:

Knowing he was the one that audiences were most anxious to see, producers craftily saved Chaz—the show’s first-ever transgender contestant—for last. But he was definitely not least!

The author and Becoming Chaz star made the most preseason headlines, but he showed up ready to rumble, er, rumba! Under the tutelage of Lacey Schwimmer, Chaz wasn’t the best dancer, but he may have been the most pleasantly surprising.

Not to mention “cute and cuddly,” as Bruno Tonioli duly noted.

Clean-shaven and looking like a teenager, David Arquette waltzed two-time champ Kym Johnson around the floor like a guy with something to prove! (Or at least with someone to impress—daughter Coco and his still legally wedded wife Courteney Cox had front-row seats in the audience.)

And his effort was not wasted, with none other than head judge Len Goodman saying he was “very, very impressed” by what Arquette put out there. Of course, he’s got the energy of an unbridled pony, so he has to tone it down a bit, but the eight-months-sober Scream star had great lines and infectious enthusiasm.

[From E! Online]

There’s more of a recap at E! along with the scores if you’re interested, and we have some of the videos below. (Search on first dance then the celebrity’s name in YouTube for the official videos from ABC.) As in past seasons, I’m sure we’ll be surprised by someone out of left field. This week, Iraqi war veteran and soap star J.R. Martinez tied for first place with singer Chynna Phillips for a high score of 22.

I guess George Clooney’s ex, Elisabetta Canalis, really tanked big time. You can watch her below. She looks like a drunk stripper with those moves and will be voted off in no time.

J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff. Check out the spin at :50. This is the guy to beat.

David Arquette and Kym Johnson. I love his faces!

Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovoloni. She can really dance but there’s something off-putting about her.

Update: oh here’s Carson Kressley. I can’t believe I forgot about him. (Thanks Betsy!) He does the chicken dance at one point!

The screencap below is from a video at Radar that also features the judges’ reactions to Chaz.

Cher defends Chaz against “stupid bigots”

wenn3105335
Yesterday we heard some “family values” group get publicity by knocking Chaz Bono as a competitor in the just-announced cast for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. It was all about how Chaz, as a transgender person, was part of some Hollywood agenda to “tear down traditional families,” as if that makes any sense. The gay and transgender people who want their own families aren’t a threat to other families at all. They’re not breaking up families.

Anyway Chaz’s mom Cher wrote on Twitter that Chaz is going to win people over on DWTS and that she feels the need to defend her child against “stupid bigots.” She really went after Chaz’s detractors and called for people to support him online. Here are her tweets in reverse order from oldest to newest so that they make more sense:

lovelies! Chaz is Being Viciously Attacked on Blogs & Message boards about being on DWTS!This is Still America right ? It took guts 2 do it

I support him no matter what he chooses 2do! God! will there always be haters! It took COURAGE 2 do dwts ! TG Chaz has an Unlimited supply

Can u guys check out sites & give him your support ? BTW …Mothers don’t stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who fk with their children !

dont know names Could u look 4 me?He is Such a Good Person inside lota heart RT @wildbrat_jlynn: get us the site we will spread the word!

bet VAST MAJORITY of People will LOVE CHAZ on DWTS ! & it’s took Fkg Guts 2! Chaz isn’t exactly the “Gotta Dance Gotta Dance”kinda Guy

[From Cher's Twitter]

That’s really great of her to come to his defense. Cher has been supportive of Chaz from the start, but she’s admitted that it was hard for her to come to terms with his change. Cher wrote in a statement two years ago that “I respect the courage it takes to go through this transition in the glare of public scrutiny, and although I may not understand, I will strive to be understanding. The one thing that will never change is my abiding love for my child.” Now Cher is going to bat for Chaz. It will be fun to see her in the audience when he’s competing on Dancing With The Stars. She’s such a character.

Chaz’s dance partner, fashion-challenged Lacey Schwimmer, has also spoken out on his behalf. Schwimmer told The Insider that she chooses not to focus on the negative comments and that she’s in Chaz’s corner.

“It’s disappointing,” Lacey tells TheInsider.com of the negative reactions. “No human is perfect, so why are they pointing out what they perceive to be an imperfection in someone else? It’s not cool. We’re all taught to not bully, or harass, and treat everyone as equals yet all these people are doing exactly the opposite.” Luckily for Lacey and Chaz, the supportive sounds are drowning out the negative noise. “At the end of the day, everyone is going to have a hater. I choose not to listen to it, because it’s ridiculous. To us, it’s more important to focus on the positive people.”

For Lacey, finding out that Chaz would be her season 13 partner was the best kind of news. “I was absolutely thrilled. I’ve always been a huge supporter of the LGBT community and I couldn’t be more excited to have Chaz. Not only is he Sonny & Cher’s child but he’s also a generally cool person.” And while producers didn’t ask Lacey’s permission to pair her with Chaz, she believes they knew it was an unnecessary conversation.

“This is my sixth season — the producers know that I’m very open-minded and really accepting of everyone,” she says. “Ever since Lance [Bass] was on the show, it opened the door for the LGBT community to be accepted in Middle America and it’s about time. It’s 2011, let’s evolve a little bit here.”

That’s nice! Lacey also says that Chaz has trouble keeping up due to his size but that “we’ve been putting him through drills that will make him stronger in the competition. It’s all about him being able to breath [sic] and get through a full dance.” He’s lost five pounds in six days.” It looks like we’re about to see another weight loss success story on DWTS.

Here’s a photo of Lacey and Chaz that Chaz posted on Twitter.

Pregnant man Thomas Beatie is mad at Chaz Bono for taking his spot on DWTS

This story is making me laugh so hard that tears are squeezing out of my cynical eyes. It’s not because transgender people are funny at all or anything like that, it’s just because it sounds so ridiculous when you think about it. So yesterday the new cast of Dancing With the Wannabes was announced, and Chaz Bono will be the first transgender person to compete. Some close-minded people have been commenting that Chaz is giving all the other famewhores a bad name and “tearing down traditional values” or something, but that’s just dumb and to be expected. Chaz is so nice and personable that he’s sure to win a lot of those same yokels over once they see him on the show. Anyway, the three times-pregnant man, Thomas Beatie, wanted to be the first transgender person on DWTS and put in a bunch of calls to them. TMZ (who had photos of Beatie all buff a couple of months ago) now reports that Beatie is mad at Chaz for “stealing” his spot, as if he ever had a chance.

beatie2The Pregnant Man — Thomas Beatie — claims he SHOULD HAVE been chosen to compete on “Dancing with the Stars” this season … but says, “Chaz Bono stole my thunder.”

Beatie tells TMZ … he reached out to casting in the hopes of landing a spot a few months ago — but never got a call back. But after DWTS announced that Chaz would be on the show, Thomas says he thinks he knows why he was rejected — the transgender quota had already been filled.

Thomas says he understands why producers wouldn’t cast two famous transgender people on the show — but he’s still pretty bummed out … telling us, “I wanted to try my new body out. I’m an athlete and I know I would have excelled.”

Beatie just isn’t famous enough to be on that show. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giuidice gets plenty of tabloid covers with her monchichi-face and has a high selling cookbook out and she got rejected for Dancing With The Stars. Beatie is semi-famous for having a few kids after he’d made the transition to male while Chaz is famous for being Sonny and Cher’s child. Chaz is more well known by far.

Chaz will be paired with Lacey Schwimmer on the show. Lacey is looking really beat lately and could definitely use a makeover. Check out the priceless photo of her below in a studded crop top and acid wash jeans with her hair extensions taken out. When she does her own makeup she ends up looks like Christina Aguilera on steroids, though, so this look marginally better. Radar has a list of all the just-announced celebrity and dancing partner pairings for the three of you who will want to know.

Oh and Radar also has details of the “final” surgery that Chaz is supposedly still deciding on. I’m not going to get into it here, but you can read it on their site.
