I was wondering if anyone besides Kristen Stewart would wear Stella McCartney, and here we go. I should have figured that Cameron Diaz would go with Stella – that whole group of girls (Camy, Goop, Kate Hudson) are all tight with Stella. So what did Stella make Cameron wear? A giant, figure-covering blue… thing. I don’t even want to call this a dress. It’s awful. Like the pope’s vestments with a built-in cape…? She looks like Monk Smurf. And that spiked belt? That’s Cameron’s version of a chastity belt. You can’t hug her. At all. I wonder if she poked anyone last night? I wonder if she drew blood?

Diane Kruger wore Chanel. Not punk. But not bad. I mean, she’s beautiful and she makes everything look good. She and Joshua seemed subdued on the carpet though, and there are hardly any photos of them.

Kate Bosworth in Balmain. This makes me sad. It’s like she didn’t even try. Again, this would have been cute at a movie premiere, but it’s not “big” enough for the Met Gala.

Marion Cotillard wore Dior (like Jennifer Lawrence). Marion looks really pissed off about it too. She should be – this dress is so boring and it’s just… blah. Nothing.

I haven’t paid any attention to Stephenie Meyer’s The Host. Was the book as successful as the Twilight series? Are people getting Twihardy about the film adaptation? My guess is that while the book is probably popular and people are looking forward to the movie, no one is going full-Twihard. Which is a shame, because I like the two actresses in The Host WAY more than any of the Twilight people. Even though Saoirse Ronan is the lead of the film (more on her in a sec), Diane Kruger was definitely the star of last night’s Hollywood premiere. Diane wore a Thakoon cocktail dress with some crazy Jimmy Choo shoes. I like that Diane’s little black dresses are jazzier and fancier than the typical LBDs, and by wearing black I feel like she was saying, “I want to look great, but I’m not the star.” Still, the dress has elements of “LOOK AT ME!” Like, there’s only about a half of inch of solid fabric keeping me from seeing her nips. Also: Joshua looks great!

And here’s Saoirse… I love this young woman. She’s SO talented and she just seems sort of effortlessly cool. She’s Irish and she’s only 18 years old. She wore Lanvin to her premiere – it’s a great color on her, and I don’t hate the idea of a simple shift dress on a young woman. I’m glad she’s not tarted up. She’s gorgeous.

Here’s Stephenie Meyer – I don’t mind her outfit at all, but she needed different shoes.

I’m also including some pics of your new Sparkles and Wolf-Boy (or whatever). Max Irons and Jake Abel are the two young guys in the film. Max is a cutie, but these boys are seriously YOUNG. Too young for me to think about.

I included a link to this photoshoot in the links yesterday, but once I read some of the excerpts from Diane Kruger’s Flare Magazine cover interview, I wanted to cover it! I get that some of you aren’t big fans of Diane, but I like her more and more every year. She seems like a cool girl, she seems organized and smart and she’s one half of one of Hollywood’s cutest couples. Why don’t you love her?! Just kidding. Anyway, as I said yesterday, I find this photoshoot to be too cutesy and retro and it just doesn’t suit her. But the interview is more interesting:

Joshua Jackson banned her from watching Dawson’s Creek: ‘He doesn’t want me to watch his early work. He grew up in front of the camera with pimples and bloatiness.’

She loves to cook & she dragged Joshua to cooking classes: ‘We have a big garden in L.A. and we started canning jam and pickling. It sounds a little kooky, but the pickles we make are insane.’

Growing up in Germany: ‘I felt really trapped in my home town. My mum could sense it and to this day, without her trust in me, I don’t know what I would have become. People just thought I was – not turning into a prostitute, but kind of. Everyone was furious. My dad was furious. My school thought I was making the biggest mistake of my life. I knew this was not the life that was meant for me.’

Being part of the film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s The Host: ‘I actually happen to be a big Twilight fan, which I’m not embarrassed to say. It sort of appeals to my inner teenage girl.’

On her character in The Host: “She’s so complex. She has that Stepford Wife-y kind of niceness yet there is so much more underlying there: rage and anger.”

On her friendship with Karl Lagerfeld: I’ve known him since I move to Pars when I was 16. He’s very kind and can be very funny and ironic and silly. In difficult moments in my life when I don’t really know who to talk to, I sort of drop by his studio and he knows me well enough to pick up on weird things. He really is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.”

On fighting for her role in Inglourious Basterds: “Every once in a while there comes a part where you feel like it was written for you. And it wasn’t. But I felt like I really could bring something to it.

On valuing Joshua Jackson’s career input: “Nobody knows me better than he does. He knows exactly when I’m faking it and when I’m being sincere.”

I think I knew that Diane was tight with Karl Lagerfeld…? She always wears Chanel and she always shows up at Chanel events, so I guess I figured there was some kind of relationship there. I guess I missed this story last year – both Joshua and Diane were quoted about living close to Karl in Paris (how many homes do they have?) and Diane said, “Karl bizarrely loves Josh… Before he asks how I am, he would ask how Josh is.” That’s adorable. Even Karl loves Joshua! As for Diane being kind of Twihardy… well, I forgive her. She’s dating Pacey, for the love of God. Let her be a Twihard.

This is going to shock you to your very core: sometimes really cute, happy-seeming couples fight. And sometimes those fights are no big deal. OMG!!! LIES. Star Magazine (yeah…) has a funny story about just one of these terrible incidents where a couple who’ve been together for, like, five or six years actually FOUGHT. In public! With innocent people just standing around taking notes and chuckling to themselves. Does anyone else chuckle to themselves when they hear a couple fight? It’s always funny to me. Some dude will be like “Let me mansplain this you, baby doll” and she’s like “You are such an a—hole, I should have listened to my mother.” I love it when women mutter something obscene under their breath and the dude pretends like he didn’t hear his wife/girlfriend referring to him as “d—kbreath”. As for this particular fight between Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger… I’m struggling to understand what the fight was really about…

Life isn’t one big red carpet for Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger! The longtime lovers were recently seen having a heated argument at a Hollywood grocery store on Feb. 23.

“Joshua looked like he’d rolled out of bed after a night of partying,” spills an undercover Star reporter. “They spent 10 minutes arguing.”

Joshua, 34, annoyed Diane, 36, even more when he grabbed a bottle of eye drops off the shelf to aid his disheveled appearance.

“Diane yelled at him for being so disrespectful… they made a huge scene.”

Fast-forward one day, and the pair were singing a different tune while getting cozy at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in West Hollywood.

So, they went out partying two nights before the Oscars (probably an industry party, I would guess) and the next morning they were hung over and Diane was like “I hate you, shut up, WHY DO YOU EXIST” and Joshua was like, “Talk to the hand because you are getting on my last nerve.” And then they went out for brunch and got re-hydrated and then they spent 10 hours in bed having make up sex and then these photos happened. That’s about it.

Some Vanity Fair Oscar party photos came in later on Monday, so long story short… we’re still doing some catch-up Oscar coverage! It’s nothing major, just the party photos! Let’s begin with Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson just because they’re so adorable and happy and dear God, don’t you want her to get pregnant? Diane is wearing this absolutely enchanting Giambattista Valli mullet dress which would not work on nearly anyone else, but on Diane it’s great. She looks kind of 1960s, right? But it’s perfect. She did it perfectly. And Joshua is always adorable.

Next couple: Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber. Naomi Watts changed out of her Armani Oscar gown into this Emilio Pucci party gown. This dress looks way more comfortable… but I think I might like the Armani better? Weird, right?

Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish. She’s wearing Giambattista Valli too. I actually like her dress a lot, I just hate the styling and her whole vibe of “PAY ATTENTION TO ME OR I WILL EAT YOUR SOUL.”

Gina Carano and Henry Cavill. Again, I guess I’m the only one all over this couple. They’re so sexy together. But at this point, we’re going to have to do an intervention for Gina with that black hose and her consistently awful open-toe shoes. Dear Gina: Love you, but STOP IT. Her dress is Narciso Rodriguez – it would look cuter without the hose and shoes.

This is just a reminder: Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger are still one of the cutest celebrity couples ever. I will truly be heartbroken if they ever break up. But right now I don’t have to worry about that at all! How many years have they been together? It’s like, five or six years, right? And they still look so loved up and sweet and adorable together.

These pics are from a soccer/football game in Paris – Germany was playing France. I’m assuming Diane and Joshua were sitting in a sea of French fans because Diane is pretty much the only person reacting with joy in some of these photos, and I’m assuming that’s because she was rooting for the German team. But… she’s wearing the French team’s scarf? So maybe she was hoping everybody played well.

Now that Joshua is done with Fringe, I wonder what he’s got lined up next? His IMDB doesn’t have any future projects for him, so I guess he’s just bumming around with Diane these days, doing whatever she wants. Which seems to make him happy, which is so cute. I want them to have beautiful Canadian-German babies. I want them to live happily in France and do cute things forever and ever.

Sigh… I could look at photos of Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger all day. Is it just me or do they just get progressively cuter every month they’re together? These are new pics of Diane and Joshua in Vancouver – they were doing some holiday shopping and then the paps caught them having a makeout session in a store. Look at the way he looks at her! His eyes say “Milady, just wait until I get you home.” And she looks at him like “You are THE BEST boyfriend EVER.”

I don’t even know how long they’ve been together. It’s been like four or five years, right? I would say that they should just get married and start with the adorable German-Canadian babies, but as I’ve said many times, Diane isn’t into marriage. But she’s not saying “no” to babies so… they need to get on that.

I guess they’ll be spending the holidays in Canada? Does his family live in Vancouver? Do they ever spend the holidays with her family? So many questions. Let’s just be quiet and watch them make out. I imagine that Joshua is a gentleman everywhere except the bedroom. In my mind, he is NOT a gentleman at all when he gets her naked. Sigh…

Here are some photos from last night’s Miss Golden Globe Awards, which was hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press. I wasn’t aware of the fact that there’s now an awards ceremony (?) for Miss Golden Globes. Traditionally, there is a “Miss Golden Globe” selected every year around this time, and she’s always second-generation Hollywood. This year’s Miss Golden Globe is Francesca Eastwood (above, with her mother Frances Fisher, and daughter of Clint). Some other Miss Golden Globes of years past include Melanie Griffith and Rumer Willis. For real. The thing is seen as an honor, but all you really do is get to hand the Golden Globe statues to the presenters, and you usher people off the stage. That’s it.

So, some fashion from the night… Diane Kruger wore this Rochas dress which, to me, is tragic. Diane can pull off some bizarre looks, but I don’t understand why she even attempts some consistently weird stuff. This outfit is nonsensical.

Lea Michele in… unknown. It feels bridesmaid-y and Easter-y to me, which isn’t to say I don’t like it. I just don’t think it was right for the occasion, I guess. The sleeves are bugging me too.

Olivia Munn’s dress/romper is horrible. This looks cheap and tacky and like she’s a Las Vegas waitress.

And finally, here’s Jeremy Piven. This is so gross. Jeremy Piven is a well-known purveyor of the barely-legal starlets, and here he is, sauntering around the Miss Golden Globe event? GROSS. I’m surprised Wilmer Valderrama wasn’t there too.

Sigh… I love looking at photos of Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson. These are photos from their vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico over the holiday. I mean, they probably aren’t celebrating Thanksgiving considering neither of them are American, but they probably had time off from their publicity tours and TV shows and everything, so they found themselves with a vacation week, so they went down to Mexico. I don’t know which resort or vacation home they were at, but the surroundings look a lot like the place Jennifer Aniston always goes to.

I know everyone has “their” favorite couples, couples that can never, ever split up, but Diane and Joshua don’t make most people’s lists. I guess because JJ and DK never got around to getting married? Perhaps. I like that they aren’t married. It makes them seem sexier, cooler somehow. Diane is famously gun-shy about marriage – she was married before, and now she says she’s not into it. But Diane says she wants babies, so maybe that will happen sometime soon. All I know is that I will be very disappointed in both of them if they don’t make this work for the long haul. I think they just seem so sweet together, but it’s also, like, really sexy. Sigh… I hope they spent most of their vacation in bed.

And both of them have great bodies too, right? I always expect Diane to be so little and bony, but she actually has some meat on her bones. I mean, she’s still really small and everything, but she looks like she eats solids. And Joshua… Canadian sex symbol!! I love him. These two need to make a hot German-Canadian baby.

When Diane saw the paparazzi were on the scene, she flipped them the bird. She pulled a K-Stew! Ugh.

Here are some photos from last night’s GQ Men of the Year event. Last year, Michael Fassbender was honored as GQ’s Breakout of the Year and I was, like, counting down the days until I could see new Fassy photos. So compared to last year, my enthusiasm for this year’s GQ photo batch has definitely waned. As we discussed yesterday, GQ named Channing Tatum their “Movie Star of the Year” (Channing didn’t show), Ben Affleck was their “Filmmaker of the Year” (he came) and Rihanna is the “[Pantsless] Obsession of the Year”. Here’s Rihanna at the event – she wore a Calvin Klein minidress. I kind of like it – it’s simple and pretty. Rihanna’s hair looks different to me – are those extensions or did she grow it out and I didn’t notice?

Here’s The ‘Fleck, acting like he’s The Boss now. Like Ben thinks he’s George Clooney? You know CB is more of an Affleck fan-girl, but even she is waiting for him to self-sabotage, I think.

I guess Jenna DeWan was there representing her husband. She wore Amanda Wakeley – it’s okay. Not great.

Jennie Garth, also in red. I don’t know, y’all. I think she’s been looking like hell since she and Peter split up.

Dear Julianne Hough: Stop trying to happen!! You do look good in this Temperley suit, though. Ugh! I hate myself.

And finally, Diane Kruger in a Cushnie et Ochs dress and a Vanessa Bruno jacket. Dislike cut-out dresses in general, but Diane makes everything look like Chanel. She just makes everything look like expensive couture. It’s a gift.
