This report from the Enquirer seems like it could totally be false, but many of you seem to enjoy analyzing the situation between Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, so I thought I’d bring you this latest little slice. By the way, I’m totally there with all of you – this B-List scandal has it all for me – scandal, “homewrecking”, stalking, delusions, media battles, photo-ops, tragedy, bitchy quotes and hilarity. It’s a self-sustaining soap opera and I love every minute of it.

A few days ago, we heard that Eddie and his ex, Brandi Glanville, were attempting to proceed with their divorce in an amicable way. After spending a significant amount of time trying to destroy Eddie in the press, Brandi seemed to be singing a new tune. All of a sudden, she and Eddie seemed to be getting along, and they were even photographed at their son’s soccer game - together! I theorized, “Brandi is looking for a way to drive a wedge between Eddie and LeAnn, and she figures that it will piss LeAnn off if Eddie is now getting along with his ex-wife.”

It looks like LeAnn still has some arrows in her quiver, though. Despite warnings that Eddie’s an unreformed womanizer, LeAnn seems to be hellbent on providing as many media outlets with stories about how she and Eddie are totally in love, preparing to marry, and planning on lots of babies. This report from the National Enquirer is about the “cozy ranch” she and Eddie have leased. Apparently, they liked the house because it had a “huge backyard” and “room to spare” for all of the babies Eddie and LeAnn are going to have:

My Spy reports that when the woo-some twosome inspected the spread, Eddie fell hard for the huge backyard because it’s a perfect romp-and-stomp venue for his two tykes – with room to spare for all those babies LeAnn’s burbling about birthin’ once they get settled in.

There’s really no doubt in my mind that LeAnn has her sights set on marriage and babies. What I can’t figure out is how on-board Eddie is. Part of me thinks he’s going along for the ride, knowing that Brandi will take him to the cleaners and that LeAnn will have the cash to support him ad infinitum. The other part of me thinks that Eddie seems to be looking for a way out, and that LeAnn is probably not his only “girlfriend”. He looks like a guy who wants to be dating lots of girls and having fun, not stuck in some fussy ranch house planning his next family with LeAnn. I really don’t know.

Last month, Eddie Cibrian formally filed for divorce from his wife, Brandi Glanville, after months of speculation and a very public affair with LeAnn Rimes. Last week, Brandi Glanville joined the divorce petition, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Brandi is also seeking spousal support and physical custody of their two sons, while allowing Eddie visitation rights. After spending a significant amount of time calling Eddie and LeAnn “liars” and “homewreckers”, Brandi seems in a much better place. A source close to her told People that Brandi and Eddie hope to “divorce amicably”.

Although his relationship with LeAnn Rimes played out under a media glare, Eddie Cibrian’s divorce from his wife Brandi Glanville promises to be less explosive. “Both sides are hoping to settle their divorce amicably,” a Glanville source tells PEOPLE.

Los Angeles Superior Court records show that Glanville, citing irreconcilable differences, is seeking spousal support from the CSI: Miami star as well as physical custody of their sons Mason, 6, and Jake, 2, with visitation for Cibrian. The actor filed for divorce last month and is also seeking shared custody.

Earlier this month, Rimes announced on her Web site that she and husband Dean Sheremet were divorcing following months of rumors of her affair with Cibrian.

Cibrian, 36, and Rimes, 27, met while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall.

There’s further evidence that Brandi and Eddie are steadily maturing too. Over the weekend, they both attended (separately) their son Mason’s soccer game, and they were even photographed standing near each other and hanging out (photos here). Us Weekly notes that Eddie brought the folding chairs and umbrella, while Brandi brought her parents. No word on whether Eddie’s mom really is pissed at him for dumping Brandi, but it’s always nice to see a divorcing couple bury the hatchet for the sake of their children. Perhaps I’m just a dirty gossip (true story) but I think Brandi’s about-face on the whole “I hate Eddie, he’s a douche” thing is very interesting. My theory is that Brandi is looking for a way to drive a wedge between Eddie and LeAnn, and she figures that it will piss LeAnn off if Eddie is now getting along with his ex-wife. Brandi’s probably right.

The National Enquirer has a story about a subject that’s been hinted about in previous articles. Namely, that Eddie Cibrian’s mom is totally Team Brandi in the epic Eddie-LeAnn-Brandi scandal. The Enquirer basically claims that Eddie’s mom Hortensia doesn’t even want to meet LeAnn, and this is totally driving LeAnn crazy. Hortensia thinks Eddie should just finish with his strange and go back to his wife. Well played, mom:

Eddie’s mom Hotensia disapproves of his affair with the Grammy-winning singer, and refuses to meet or even speak to LeAnn, pals say.

“LeAnn is completely stressed,” an insider says. “She was hoping her new life with Eddie would have a happily-ever-after ending. But that’s not happeneing because Eddie’s mom is horrified that he ran off with her and ditched his wife Brandi. She sees LeAnn as a homewrecker!”

Adding to LeAnn’s insecurity, Eddie still hasn’t introduced her to his sons – Mason, 6, and 2-year-old Jake. Eddie even caught Mason’s soccer game on Sept. 12 by himself.

“LeAnn desperately wants to meet the boys, but so far Eddie hasn’t let her,” the source revealed. “When they hang out, it’s usually just the two of them. Eddie’s friends and family still haven’t adjusted to the idea of LeAnn on his arm.”

Despite a recent getaway to Mexico, the family tension has LeAnn fearing that Cibrian, whose mother is reportedly battling breast cancer, will dump her, said the source.

“Hortensia is hoping it blows over soon and he goes back to Brandi,” added the source.

The whole “Eddie doesn’t want to introduce his kids to LeAnn” thing is also a running theme in In Touch Weekly’s little story about Eddie and LeAnn. In Touch claims that LeAnn and Eddie are “shacked up” in a Beverly Hills home “just blocks away from Eddie’s children’s school.” According to IT’s source, “Eddie wanted to be close to his kids, because that is very important to him – although LeAnn hasn’t met the kids.”

Meanwhile, the source goes on to say that Brandi Glanville “is so angry… she doesn’t want LeAnn around her kids, and she feels like they are being really disrespectful. Brandi wanted nothing to do with Eddie after she learned he was seeing LeAnn.” I actually disagree. After Brandi spent weeks bad-mouthing Eddie to whoever would listen, she seems to be taking the high road as of late, almost as if she figured she could let “sources” do her dirty work. It doesn’t really matter – public opinion is on her side in that respect. Although if I were Brandi, I would be concerned about the kids too. LeAnn seems sort of Alex Forrester-esque.

It looks like LeAnn Rimes isn’t worried about all of those people warning her that Eddie Cibrian can’t keep it in his pants. LeAnn invited Eddie Cibrian on the last leg of her summer tour, and he accepted. He’s “on her bus” so to speak. I have to say, this surprised me. With the sort-of half-assed backlash against Eddie and LeAnn, the bad press has been increasing, and it really looked like Eddie was trying to find some way to back away from LeAnn. But I guess she’s got a tighter grip on him than I thought:

On Aug. 24, Cibrian, 36, filed for divorce from wife of eight years, Brandi Glanville, with whom he has two children, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. A week later, Rimes, 27, announced she was divorcing husband Dean Sheremet, adding that the “decision was amicable.”

Two days later, Rimes and Cibrian — who had an affair while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall — made their first public outing during a round of golf at the Valencia Country Club in Valencia, Calif., on Sept. 3.

Meanwhile, their humiliated exes have gone on to form a bond.

Us Weekly exclusively reported that Sheremet, 28, quietly reached out to Glanville, 36, recently.

“They have been supporting each other,” an insider told Us.

Said a Sheremet pal, “They’re the ones who understand what the other is feeling.”

So, what’s the verdict this week? Are Eddie and LeAnn serious about each other? I’ve never had any doubt LeAnn is serious about Eddie – but does his groupie act mean that he’s in love too? Or does he just know that he needs to keep LeAnn happy or else she’ll freak out and go all Alex Forrest on him? That’s my guess. He wants to have some kind of legitimite relationship with LeAnn, while he continues to quietly keep up his womanizing ways. Whoops, was that “future false accusation”?

LeAnn Rimes is a horrible driver. That’s my conclusion. In August, she got into a fender bender in Brentwood, California – and she left the scene! Police questioned LeAnn after the incident, and that’s when she handed over her insurance documents. Police investigated whether or not to charge her with a hit-and-run, and that case was just closed after ruling that no crime was committed. Did LeAnn learn her lesson? It appears so, because she just got into yet another fender bender yesterday in Santa Monica. This time, she waited around and exchanged information with the other driver where the accident occurred. Both times, LeAnn (through her spokesperson) blamed the paparazzi: “Due to the overzealous and very dangerous paparazzi following her, LeAnn was involved in a minor car accident. The police were called and fortunately everyone is safe.” Eh. Just hire a car and driver, you can afford it.

Speaking of what LeAnn has bought and paid for, sources are telling In Touch Weekly that several people are now “warning” LeAnn about Eddie Cibrian’s wandering eye. This goes against all of the glowing coverage LeAnn has bought for herself about how she and Eddie have a real kind of love, and how they’re going to get married and have babies. Eddie’s former costars and LeAnn’s friends are worried that Eddie isn’t going to be interested in all of that:

LeAnn Rimes may be ready to settle down with her hot new beau, Eddie Cibrian, but those who know him fear that he’s not as serious about the relationship.

“He’s a womanizer who may cheat on her like other women he’s been with,” one of his former co-stars tells In Touch, adding that since he landed a role on CSI: Miami, Eddie is likely to go back to his old ways.

“Now that he’s on a new show, he’s probably not going to settle down. He just got out of a marriage,” says the insider. “He’ll have long days on the set, so you know he’ll be hooking up on that set – that’s his nature, it seems.”

LeAnn’s friends are also worried. “She has changed so much since being with Eddie – she wants to have kids and marry him,” says one pal. “She’s changed her whole world for him. But once a cheater, always a cheater. He’s going to break her heart.”

Eddie’s rep strongly denies the story, saying, “It’s a shame that people want to make false future accusations.”

I would argue that Eddie doesn’t just have a taste for his costars, his type seems to be “two legs and a pulse”. Other than that, I agree with In Touch’s sources. I think LeAnn stalked the hell out of Eddie, and her devotion to him destroyed both of their marriages. Now that Eddie has his freedom, LeAnn is just his rebound, perhaps even his sugar-mama in case he gets financially creamed in his divorce. And I really do think Brandi Glanville, Eddie’s ex, knows the score. She looks thrilled with the turn of events. By the way, I love Eddie’s rep’s statement. “False future accusations” is the best phrase ever, replacing “unfair fishbowl”.

Brandi Glanville, the estranged wife of Eddie Cibrian, is now a paparazzi target because of the drama happening between LeAnn Rimes and Eddie. This is an interesting phenomenon, and I don‘t think Brandi minds it one bit, even when she’s out with her kids (Mason, 6 and Jake, 2). This makes me uncomfortable generally, but I have to give this one video-paparazzo for E! News some credit. He spoke to Brandi while she was out picnicking with her kids, but he waited until she was alone by the car to speak to her, and he stopped filming after she talked to him. On Brandi’s side, she really didn’t seem upset with the paparazzo, or with the questions he was asking her.

Has Eddie moved his stuff out of the house yet?
Brandi: Uh… no comment.
Have you talked to LeAnn?
Brandi: I don’t speak to LeAnn.
Does she ever come over and see the kids or anything?
BG: Not to my knowledge.
How’s Dean [Sheremet] doing?

According to E!, on Saturday Eddie Cibrian showed up for his son Mason’s first soccer game – and Eddie didn’t bring LeAnn, so at least he has some modicum of respect. I wonder what Brandi (who was also in attendance, and who ignored him at the game) would have done if LeAnn had shown up. Something involving a shank, I bet. Sources tell E! that Cibrian and Rimes are “not as serious as everyone thinks they are.” And! According to E!‘s gossips, Eddie has his own apartment, he and LeAnn aren’t really living together, and “He still hasn’t moved everything out of his house [with Brandi].” said the source. Eddie also hasn’t brought LeAnn over to meet his mom, which is some kind of big deal (who would have thought – Eddie is a mama’s boy). E! source says: “His mom and Brandi are like best friends. They are still really close. They just don’t talk about him.”

This totally contradicts the publicity campaign that LeAnn is running in the tabloids. In this week’s current issue of In Touch Weekly, LeAnn’s unnamed friends are all over the place, breathlessly harping on and on about how LeAnn knows that she and Eddie “can be together now” and how this is “no fling for LeAnn – she wants to spend the rest of her life with Eddie… she’s looking for their dream home.” That dream home must suit Eddie’s needs, of course: “He is excited for her to move and would prefer she live next to a golf course.” Yeah. He sounds totally into her, doesn’t he? Like Eddie knows LeAnn is boring as hell, but at least he might get some good golfing out of it.

I couldn’t resist. Page Six had this funny little piece about LeAnn Rimes – apparently, in her official announcement that she has filed for divorce from Dean Sheremet, she misspelled Dean’s name. LeAnn made the announcement on her website, and although I noticed that his name was spelled “Deane” in the coverage, I thought it was just People Magazine’s mistake. I didn’t realize LeAnn was actually married to a man for seven years and she never realized he spelled his name with only one “e”. Out of sight, out of mind, I suppose.

In other LeAnn Rimes news, she went house hunting this weekend in Los Angeles. She already has a home there, but I guess she’s not happy with Eddie Cibrian moving into the home she shared with Dean(e). So onto a new love nest!

LeAnn Rimes is literally moving on. Now that she’s officially split from husband Dean Sheremet and openly dating boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, the singer/actress needs a new place to call home in Los Angeles. She is spending Saturday out looking at houses – no doubt to share with Eddie — RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

“She seems to be in great spirits, smiling and very upbeat,” an eyewitness told us.

LeAnn’s first stop today was at a two story contemporary, perfect for a young couple in love. It’s in the hills of Beverly Hills, tucked away in a grove of mature trees. It is fairly open to the street but would be easy to gate.

Then it was on to something entirely different. LeAnn also looked at a sprawling ranch within a gated community in suburban Caabassas, and there are several other properties lined up for her to look over.

LeAnn and Eddie began their affair after costarring last fall in the Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights. For months they insisted they were “just friends” but finally went public as a couple this summer when they were spotted golfing and attending a concert. They’ve just returned from a romantic getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where they opened cuddled on the beach.

Eddie filed for divorce from his wife Brandi Glanville on August 24. A week later, LeAnn wrote on her official website that the decision to split from her husband of seven years was “amicable.”

Now comes the dirty work of dividing up their respective assets but at least LeAnn and Eddie can do it from the comfort of their new love nest.

Now that both LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are officially and legally divorcing their spouses, they seem to be moving at rocket speed to solidify their relationship. We’ve heard some mutterings here and there, and it’s looking like most of the gossip has a grain of truth to it – Eddie is pretty much living with LeAnn at this point, and LeAnn’s friends keep gushing to every tabloid about how LeAnn wants to marry Eddie and have his dimpled womanizer babies.

I have to get something off my chest – I’m starting to have pity on LeAnn Rimes. I think she’s a 27 year old woman with the mentality of a stalking, immature teenager. I think her affair with Eddie was probably the first time LeAnn ever had a man, you know? It was probably the first time she had a real, mind-blowing, non-vibrator orgasm, because her estranged husband Dean Sheremet looks like the kind of guy who “closes his eyes and thinks of England” to get through sex with a woman. I think when Eddie and LeAnn began their affair, in his mind it was just another affair, one of many he’s had over the years. But LeAnn fell in love, and then their affair became public, and then LeAnn got in her head that they should divorce their spouses and be together. And now that it’s happened, LeAnn is going to be in for a rude awakening when she ends up just like Eddie’s ex-wife. “Boo”? Give me a break. Here’s another theory I have about Eddie – he knows he’s going to get financially creamed in his divorce with Brandi Glanville, and so he’s looking to upgrade his lifestyle. LeAnn will basically be his rebound sugar-mama – and if he has to marry LeAnn to ensure that upgraded lifestyle, so be it:

Is LeAnn really as naïve as I think? Or is she really clever? LeAnn has basically gotten everything she wanted the way she wanted it – Dean was pushed to the side with little to no trouble, and she finally got Eddie to leave his wife. Now he’s buying her tennis bracelets and behaving like the perfect boyfriend. In LeAnn’s mind, will it stay this way forever? Or will Eddie marry her, knock her up, then continue to screw everything with two legs and a pulse, like he always has?

UPDATE: In a related story, Us Weekly just put up another part of their cover story this week, and they have new quotes from a source that sounds a lot like Eddie’s ex, Brandi Glanville. The “source” says Eddie missed his 2-year-old son Jake’s first day of preschool while he was on vacation with LeAnn in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The source also says Brandi is home with the kids “so Eddie feels free to go be this bachelor” and that Eddie is “too busy juggling his women to be a proper parent.” Oh, it’s going to get dirty.

Yesterday, we had some early coverage on Us Weekly’s cover story this week, which is about LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, and how their exes are “speaking out”. Unfortunately, the online version of the story does not have some of Brandi Glanville’s patented hilarious, bitchy comments. It’s just a story about how Brandi and Dean Sheremt are becoming friends, “supporting each other” and how they’ve slowly been putting the pieces together of their spouses’ infidelities. Dean is quoted as saying the situation he’s in is “bizarre” and “surreal” – but I think that interview was done before LeAnn filed for divorce yesterday.

As LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian began going public with their relationship in August, her ex Dean Sheremet quietly reached out to Cibrian’s ex Brandi Glanville, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands now).

Pals tell Us Weekly he’s struggling. On Tuesday, Rimes announced on her website that she and Sheremet are divorcing — days after taking a PDA-packed vacation with Cibrian, 36, to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to celebrate her 27th birthday.

Asked how it feels to see his ex with Cibrian, Sheremet fought back tears before telling Us Weekly: “I don’t really know what to say. It’s bizarre. It’s surreal. But I’m doing OK.”

It will be interesting to read the full text of this story, because I’m really curious to see if Dean has more to say. My thoughts were always that Dean was going to keep his mouth shut and hope for a generous settlement from LeAnn – she’s already buying him off with a new apartment and life in New York, and I’m sure she’s not so big of a bitch as to try to cut him off in the divorce proceedings. But if Dean goes out there and tries to play the victim, the sad, cuckolded (totally heterosexual) husband, it could be war. Now, Brandi Glanville is another story. She’s been giving interviews all over the place, and I’m sure she’s going to try to get everything she can out of Eddie and his future earnings… as she should.

They’ve been out golfing, attending Kings of Leon concerts, and the rumor is that Eddie is now living with LeAnn, in her Los Angeles home. Us Weekly points out that LeAnn filed for divorce after returning from a “romantic” vacation with Eddie in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Us Weekly has also put the drama on this week’s cover – it shows LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian looking happy with the headline: “Heartbreak & Lies: Their Exes Speak Out”. There’s a promise of “their spurned spouses become angry allies” and “Fighting back tears, Dean Sheremet tells Us, ‘I’m doing OK.’” Us hasn’t released anything online yet, but here’s LeAnn’s divorce announcement:

It’s over for LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet.

“After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” the country star says on her Web site using the spelling of her husband’s given name. “This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.”

Rimes, who turned 27 on Friday, married Sheremet in 2002 when she was 19 and he was 21. They separated amid allegations of an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian after the two met while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall. Cibrian, meanwhile, filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville last week.

Cibrian’s ex has called him “somebody I just don’t know” and claims she sensed the attraction between the two when they filmed their Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall.

Rimes’s longtime friend, Dope Den Productions founder Jeff Berger, says that Rimes and Sheremet, a songwriter and former dancer, are “doing their best to handle it as mature adults.”

“Dean’s her best friend and that’s the crux of the issue; when you love and care about somebody who’s your best friend – how not to cause them pain,” he says. “Le and Dean are both great people and, unfortunately, going through a tough situation. But they’re doing what needs to be done in as amicable a way as possible.”

Sheremet, a former professional dancer, is attending culinary school in New York. He posted a message on his Twitter page Tuesday: “Back to school kids, first time in 10 years.”

Sources claim that LeAnn is completely paying Dean off with a nice apartment in New York, and most likely a sweet divorce settlement. Dean hasn’t said much for or against LeAnn so far, and I suspect he’ll continue to keep his mouth shut and wait for the payday. As for LeAnn’s future plans, there were some reports last week that she’s already planning on marrying Eddie. Even though those reports came from Star Magazine and In Touch, I tend to believe them. I think LeAnn has fallen for Eddie, and she thinks he’s some kind of “catch”. When you look at it that way, it’s kind of sad.
