Kaiser sent me this story a couple of days ago and I shrugged until it got picked up by People. Apparently Frances Bean Cobain, still just 19, and her boyfriend of over a year, musician Isaiah Silva, changed their Facebook status to “engaged.” They’re pretty young to be getting married, and some outlets are claiming he’s a “Kurt Cobain lookalike.” There are photos of the guy in a flannel shirt and he’s a musician and looks kind of scrappy like Frances’ famous late dad, but I don’t see a strong resemblance there. Isaiah has dark hair. He’s looked like Kurt in the past, though, like strikingly so.

Frances Bean Cobain, 19, the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, has been dating Isaiah Silva of L.A. band the Rambles for more than a year – and they may have taken the next step, reports the OC Weekly.

They each quietly changed their Facebook relationship status to engaged a few weeks ago, the paper says, and a source confirms their happy news of Cobain’s engagement to PEOPLE. However, they have since changed their statuses back.

According to the report, the couple use fake names on Facebook – she goes by Frances Rachel Leigh Cook, he uses Isaiah David Berkowitz-Cusack. Screen shots of their Facebook pages also show comments that hint at an engagement.

“Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world,” Cobain wrote at one point.

Cobain, who exuded Old Hollywood glamour in a set of photos taken by fine art photographer Rocky Schenck earlier this year, was just 20 months old when she lost her father, the Nirvana frontman.

She’s so young to get married but at least Frances is in a serious longterm relationship and at least she’s no longer under the influence of her mom. The last we saw of Frances she was in a photoshoot late this summer looking so elegant and like a young Angelina Jolie. She is rock royalty, and it seems so fitting that she would marry a musician. I hope that they don’t do it legally, though, and just keep it serious and committed without making it official. I know some people marry young and it works, but I still think it’s a bad idea. And now for the latest in the ongoing saga of Trace Cyrus (22) and Brenda Song (23). I swear, this thing reads like some kind of Greek myth. Zeus made a goat-boy named Trace and told the goat that if he impregnated a human female, he would be turned into a real boy. Artemis is somehow involved in The Goat Tragedies too, I’m sure, since she is the goddess of all of the woodland creatures. Anyway, back in August, everybody was like, “Hey, Trace Cyrus knocked up his Disney girlfriend Brenda Song.” Everybody sent congrats to the couple and everything was fine. Then, Brenda’s mom came out and was like, “Brenda’s not pregnant by Goat-Boy, she never was pregnant and it’s insulting to say that.” And then Brenda and Trace stepped out together looking loved-up and coupley, but it’s still unknown about the phantom pregnancy. The possibilities: she was never pregnant, she was pregnant and miscarried, she was pregnant and had an abortion, or she’s still pregnant and she’s lying to her family.

So, I don’t know what to make of this development: Trace proposed to Brenda and she said yes. Trace tweeted: “I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!” Shotgun marriage? I don’t know. By my calculations, IF Brenda is still pregnant, then she’s probably about as far along as Beyonce. Which means…? I don’t know. In recent photos of Brenda, she’s been wearing layers and covering up her mid-section. There’s no obvious bump of mystery, but you can’t really tell either. Let’s just congratulate them on the engagement. For now.

I don’t know if Shane Warne was sticking his tongue out at Liz Hurley. I don’t know if was trying to entice his lady to come his way for a gentle, moist, Botoxy kiss. I don’t know if he was simply trying to lick his lips and something went awry. I just want to ensure that this photo lasts forever.

Anyway, these are newish photos of my favorite couple, Liz and Shane, in Scotland yesterday, doing yet another breast cancer awareness event. Liz wore pink and she brought her Ken doll/Eliza Doolittle, the tongue-happy Shane Warne. Have I made you nauseous yet? Shall I talk about how moist his tongue is again? I bet he smells like violets and hair gel. I bet he tastes like… NO, I won’t go there. That was too gross even for me.

Liz even flashed her ring at the event – when Shane proposed (just days ago in Scotland), he gave Liz this huge sapphire and diamond ring, worth a reported $100,000. It’s gorgeous. Sigh… I love sapphires. That’s my birthstone.

Us Weekly’s jewelry expert says: “[It's a] platinum setting with an approximate 9-carat center blue sapphire and a 2-carat Trillion cut diamond on each side. Shane made the right choice by setting the sapphire in platinum, since platinum doesn’t change color or fade – so it symbolizes a relationship that will endure. Shane Warne is clearly a romantic. Since not only is blue sapphire a favorite of British royalty, but it’s also his birthstone!” CRAP. Shane was born in September too? Is he a Virgo? Let me check. YES HE’S A VIRGO. I swear to God, every crazy celebrity I’ve come across lately is a damn Virgo. They’re bringing the sign down!

YAY!!!!!! As I’ve been discussing for more than a month now, Shane Warne and Liz Hurley are absolutely perfect for each other, and they have decided to make each other the happiest cat-faces in the world! Liz tweeted the above photo, of Liz being lit from the dazzling glare coming off of Shane’s new teeth, with the message, “Thanks for all your congratulations.” What were people congratulating her about? Well, it seems that Friday night, Shane proposed to Liz in St. Andrews, Scotland, where they went on a golfing holiday. Huzzah! Liz and Shane have been together at least ten months (that we know of), including the time they spent having an affair whil Liz was still married to Arun Nayar. Happy news for Elizabeth Hurley! The Gossip Girl actress and model, 46, is engaged to her boyfriend of 10 months, Australian cricketer Shane Warne.

Reportedly getting down on bended knee at the Old Course Hotel in Scotland Friday, Warne, 42, is said to have proposed during dinner at the hotel’s Road Hole Restaurant.
Though a hotel source declined to comment on the couple’s dinner, a source confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly.

“They are engaged!” reports the insider.

Flashing a giant sapphire and diamond engagement sparkler Saturday, Hurley Tweeted a photo of the pair prior to their dinner, along with the message “Thanks for all your congratulations.” Warne then copied the message onto his own Twitter page and circulated it to his followers.

It will be the second marriage for both Warne and Hurley, who finalized her divorce from hubby of four years Arun Nayar in June.

Now, will they ever end up walking down the aisle? Probably, I would think. Shane has his own money, I believe (he’s one of Australia’s most famous cricketers), and it’s not the bait-and-switch situation that Liz found herself in with Arun – where his parents were the ones with money, and Liz and Arun lived like millionaires, not billionaires. Now, will Shane and Liz last? Who knows? I’ve long suspected that Shane is Liz’s ultimate “fixer-upper” project – she’s remaking him, like she’s Prof. Higgins and Shane is Eliza Doolittle. Shane seems more than happy to oblige, and I honestly think he adores her. I don’t mean to be too naïve about the couple though – he’s a known womanizer and Liz is rather sleazy. Is it too much to think that they’ll be able to figure it out and live happily ever after?

Bedhead emailed me this story a few days ago, but I wanted to wait until we had some new photos of my favorite celebrity couple, Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne. Unfortunately, these are just new photos of a particularly Botoxy-looking Liz, sans The Warne. Liz was in London, doing a photo event for Breast Cancer Awareness, wearing a pretty pink dress that I swear she’s worn a million times before. Anyway, the new story! The British tabloids are all claiming that Shane is planning to propose soon. Huzzah!

According to new reports Shane Warne is keen to take his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley to the next level.

‘Liz and Shane have a really happy, fun and secure relationship,’ a source told The Mirror. ‘They are forever giggling. Shane absolutely adores her and is keen to make their relationship official. He plans on proposing before Christmas, with the couple having a low-key wedding late next year. Shane is romantic and a traditionalist, and will definitely get down on bended knee to do the deed.’

‘But… Liz is in no hurry to walk down the aisle again … after only divorcing her ex in the summer.’

Yes, Liz has only been a single lady for three months, although she and Shane have been going on for… something like 9 or 10 months – they began BEFORE she was even separated from Arun Nayar. Anyway, in Shane’s last interview (in early September), he made it sound like they had talked about marriage, but Liz hadn’t agreed to anything yet. Of course, it was just seven weeks ago that the tabloids were claiming that Liz found Shane’s new beauty regimen “tiresome and bizarre.” But they’re still together, so anything goes.

Oh, and are you watching Liz on Gossip Girl? Yeah, me neither. But Shane is. He just tweeted that Liz was “amazing & very sexy” on the show. He’s completely enamored with her, isn’t he? I love this couple. They’re wonderful.

We’ve heard that famous divorcee and actress Ellen Barkin was dating a much, much younger guy, but I assumed it was just a fling. Re-reading an article on this that Bedhead covered in June, I realized that Ellen has lived with her young lover for two years and that they’ve been together for four years! Things seem really serious between the two no matter the age difference.There’s a new tabloid report that Ellen popped the question during a romantic beach stroll. If the roles were reversed and Ellen was a rich old 57 year old dude with a fiance 31 years his junior would we think twice about it? Probably not.

Ellen Barkin, 57, is so smitted with her 26-year-old director beau Sam Levinson that she popped the question – and the two are planning an early 2012 wedding, sources say.

“Ellen is madly in love with Sam and wants to spend the rest of her life with him,” a close pal told The Enquirer.

“She proposed marriage while they were walking on the beach on late afternoon in August. Sam didn’t skip a beat before accepting. ”

Even better, the groom-to-be has the blessing of his father – Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson – who guided Ellen in her breakout role in the 1982 classic “Diner…”

[Ellen] has previously been married to billionaire businessman Ron Perelman and Irish actor Gabriel Byrne, father of her 21-year-old son Jack and daughter Romy, 18.

She’s dated Sam for four years…

“It will be an intimate ceremony in Manhattan,” said the pal about the upcoming wedding. “They’re both so happy that Ellen says she and Sam are even considering adopting a baby!”

The Enquirer usually gets it right when they cover the not-so-popular celebrities, so I would bet this one is accurate. It skeeves me out in the their age difference is exactly the same as my son and me, but at least Ellen’s son is a whole five years younger than her boyfriend and isn’t around the same age. (That’s sarcasm-lite. Like I meant to be sarcastic there but realize that I did have a minor point to make that isn’t convincing at all.)

This reminds me of Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson, who have a 23 year-old age difference, but they got together when he was just 18. At least Ellen’s boyfriend was all of 22 when he hooked up with her. (Again, I’m kind of torn on whether I’m being sarcastic. They’ve been together long enough for this relationship to be legit at least.) I have a live and let live attitude usually but this does seem strange to me. My kid is little now but I totally think I would throw a fit if he reached 20-something and wanted to marry a woman my age. Anyway… go Ellen?

Blake Lively is the kind of girl you marry. Go ahead and yell at me! Whatever. I think Blake is looking for commitment, but only if she scores a big fish. Luckily for Blake, she’s already reeled in a big one: Leonardo DiCaprio, who hasn’t mentioned Blake yet as his promotional tour for J. Edgar has begun. Will Leo bring Blake to the premiere of J. Edgar? Will he end up confirming what we already know: that Blake has game, and she’s won his heart? And what is the endgame for Blake and Leo? Will she just be his official girlfriend for a few years, or will Blake manage to “get the ring” where other women failed?

A new report says long-time bachelor, Leo, is ready to take himself off the market! Do we hear wedding bells for Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, 24, and Leonardo Dicaprio, 36? According to Star magazine, sources close to the pair say he plans on popping the question within the next few months!

“His friends never thought he’d settle down, but he thinks Blake’s the one,” a source tells the mag.

While Leonardo has a history of dating the world’s most beautiful women — including Victoria’s Secret supermodels Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli — he is notorious for his inability to commit.

After jetting around the world together, it appears as if Blake is the one to win his heart.

“He is planning to propose in the next few months,” the source reveals to Star. “And he wants to get married and start on a family soon after that. He’s finally ready to take himself off the market.”

How cute! We’re not going to lie here, we’re really hoping this is true! We’d love to see a Blake & Leo wedding! Could you imagine the dress, the guest list full of Hollywood’s elite and their cute blonde babies?

Well, he’s 36. Now is the time for Leo to decide if he’s going to go for the George Clooney route (never settling down), the Warren Beatty route (settling down when he’s really old), or the Brad Pitt route (?) – which I’m making up, but… let’s say the Brad Pitt route is settling down with someone more than a decade younger and starting a family right away. You never know about Leo – he could be the kind of dude who would end up being a pretty decent husband. And I personally think that Blake would love to marry him. Engaged by the Oscars?!?

I haven’t watched Vampire Diaries in some time. They introduced this evil vampire doppleganger for Nina Dobrev’s human character, and then the plot got super complicated with this ancient vampire and a spell with a bunch of witches fighting and I honestly got sick of keeping up with it. I love the male eye candy though, and they have some decent actors in that show, given what they’re working with. It will never hold a candle to True Blood, in my opinion, but just like True Blood there’s a real off-camera romance between two of the leads. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhadler have been dating for a year according to this report (I would have pinned it at just a few months), and they make a truly gorgeous couple. According to Mike Walker in the National Enquirer, Ian, 32, is about to propose to 22 year-old Nina.

Love boiled up like a vampire feeding frenzy when the couple went cuddle-crazy during their… Paris getaway in May – and that’s what blew their cover! (Newsflash: Ian’s mulling a Paris elopement!) Bulgarian-born Nina – at 22, the younger by 10 years – joked to a friend: “Where I come from in Bulgaria, I’d already be an old maid!”

I think they’re too young, but I would love to see them get married anyway. I want to see their wedding photos too. I’m such a sucker for a good romance. I haven’t written about Eva Longoria in a while, mostly because “Who cares?” Also, I have to say – Eva has been keeping a lower profile. Maybe it’s just that no one really cares enough to invite her places, or maybe the paparazzi are bored with her too, but she hasn’t been getting pap’d on a daily basis for several months. Sure, she manages to get pap’d once a week or so, but that’s very low-key for Eva. Anyway, Eva is still loved-up with Penelope Cruz’s brother, Eduardo. He’s 26 – Eva is 36. She’s twice divorced, he’s never been in a really committed relationship. So… I’m saying that “six months” together is an achievement – although the “six months” figure is a lie perpetuated by Star Magazine. Eva and Eduardo started up two seconds after Eva’s marriage was over, last year. There were photos of them together around New Year’s. So they’ve been together for more than eight months. Time for marriage and babies?!?

Why wait when you’re in love! Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, 26, are so smitten with each other that after dating for just six months, he popped the question in Marbella, Spain, a source close to the actor reveals to Star. The big moment came while they were cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht with his sister Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem, in July.

And they even plan to wed later this year.

“After he proposed, Eva and Eduardo jumped into the water together,” says the source. Tying the knot again so soon may seem like a big leap for the Desperate Housewives star, whose marriage to Tony Parker ended last November.

But Eduardo’s pal tells Star, “They’ve found their soul mate in each other.”

Part of me thinks that Eva is just one of Those Girls. Those Girls who always have a boyfriend/husband, those girls who can never be alone for two seconds, those girls who go from “casually dating” to “OMG, we’re getting married” in about a month. So, I’m not really surprised that there are engagement rumors, and I seriously doubt they’re coming from Eduardo. This is ALL Eva. Which means that I don’t know if I can take it seriously – I just don’t see Eduardo Cruz being all “I want to spend the rest of my life with Eva Longoria!” It doesn’t make sense.

By the way, did you notice how the Star Mag piece name-dropped Penelope and Javier? That’s Eva’s M.O. too. Eva is desperate to make this Penelope Cruz connection happen, when really, I don’t think Penelope cares much for Eva. I hope Penelope really thinks that Eva is a desperate, fame-hungry B-lister.

UPDATE: Oh, and Eva’s publicist denied this story. Considering he was the one to plant it, it makes sense.

I find it surprising that Christina Aguilera is still with her jumpoff lover/enabler Matt Rutler. He was the production assistant that she met on Burlesque, presumably had an affair with, and then became her official boyfriend once she split from her now ex-husband. They even got arrested together! I thought Matt would get dumped after that, but Christina has kept him around. She must like the way he pours. And she must like his moves, because let’s face it, Christina is not one of those divas who doesn’t need to have drunken, crazy sex. She totally needs it. Poor Matt Rutler. Anyway, Star Magazine has a story this week about how Matt and Christina are planning on getting “secretly married”:

“The ink is barely dry on her four-month-old divorce, but Christina Aguilera is already planning to secretly marry her boyfriend, production assistant Matt Rutler,” begins a piece from the latest issue of Star magazine.

A so-called “friend” of the singer reveals, “Christina is telling us that she’d love to marry Matt. She’s absolutely consumed with him and can’t stand to be apart for even a minute.”

“She began talking about marriage within months of splitting with [ex-husband] Jordan [Bratman],” notes the alleged “source.”

The mag also says Aguilera and Rutler’s wedding will be “hush-hush and low key – the exact opposite of the million-dollar extravaganza she put on for her first wedding in 2005.”

However, this may be a bad move because some suspect that Rutler is shopping 109 scandalous photos of Xtina to various media outlets. (Actually they’re mostly silly bachelorette party photos of Christina mimicking sex acts on lollipops.) Star has seen all the pics and wonders, “Who’s selling Xtina’s saucy photos?”

Unfortunately for lovers of seeing brides in clown makeup, a “source close to Aguilera” told Gossip Cop, “The story is entirely false… the couple is happy, neither has plans to marry.” So, it’s a battle of the unnamed sources, because Gossip Cop didn’t even get a denial from Christina’s rep, which makes me suspicious. However, I don’t think Christina is going to end up marrying Matt… yet. She just got out of her first marriage, I can’t see her jumping into another one right away. All of that time planning a wedding could be used for getting hammered.
