People reports that sources say that Beyonce and Jay-Z registered for a marriage license on Tuesday morning in Scarsdale, NY, which would give them 60 days to get married in the state under that license. Beyonce’s rep had no comment and there is no further information about it.

Singer Beyonce, 26, and rapper and media mogul Jay-Z, 38, have been together for over five years and this isn’t the first rumor that they were about to tie the knot. In early March there was a story that Beyonce and Jay-Z were out at Butter Nightclub in NY and that Beyonce stashed what looked like a giant diamond engagement ring in her purse when witnesses spotted it.

Back in January there was a rumor that these two were secretly married at Georgio Armani’s house in Paris over the Christmas holidays. They were each seen with matching ring finger tattoos around that time that seemed to signify some kind of commitment.

The NY Daily News reports that Jay-Z was seen meeting up with Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange, in Miami recently, with a source claiming the meeting was about asking her family for permission to marry.

If this is true congratulations to Jay-Z and Beyonce. It would also be nice if they got married in a low-key ceremony without a lot of guests or a huge party. Either way is great for them, but it would be a pleasantly surprise if they got married under the radar.

Thank goodness Kate Moss has found someone to love. And hopefully someone to force-feed her, take away her drugs when she’s angry, and occasionally pump the alcohol from her stomach. Kate is supposedly engaged to her boyfriend of about nine months, The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. According to The Sun and the Daily Mail, Hince asked Moss to marry him during a romantic (and presumably totally sober) vacation in Amsterdam, which resulted in Moss yelling to everyone on the street that she was getting married.

Kate Moss is set to wed her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince, it has been claimed. The supermodel reportedly told fans the pair were going to ‘get married’ as they enjoyed a trip to Amsterdam. Moss, 34, blurted out the news as she and 39-year-old Kills guitarist Hince emerged “grinning” from a bar in the city. A source told The Sun: “They were looking very loved-up. Kate was so excited it looked like she had just accepted his proposal there and then. She was very happy. She came out giggling and seemed a little bit tipsy. Lots of fans were taking her picture on their mobile phones. She told them, ‘I’m getting married’.” The source added: “One girl asked her when, and she said, ‘Soon’.”

Kate also reportedly talked about her marriage plans to a unnamed fashion journalist she met in the city’s Cafe Tabac. Last night, Moss back in London and hanging out at her favourite haunt, Claridges hotel. There was no sign of an engagement ring but the model was wearing her lover’s trademark scarf.

I know very little of this Jamie Hince, but I know he’s not Pete Doherty, and that’s really all I require of Kate Moss anymore. Really this guy could be quasi-evil and he’d still be a huge step up. Kate Moss is pretty infamous in London for her hard partying lifestyle. There’s always a chance marriage might calm her down a little… though having a daughter didn’t seem to accomplish this (apparently massive) feat. Kate’s mother lives with her and takes care of her granddaughter. Hopefully this is the real deal for Moss; she nearly married Pete Doherty half a dozen times, including a few occasions where he didn’t show up because he’d been arrested. Let’s hope she’s picked better this time and has found someone who can actually find his way to the church.

Pregnant teen actress Jamie Lynn Spears may be engaged– or at least she is sporting a new diamond ring given to her by her baby daddy Casey Aldridge. People is reporting that family insiders have seen the ring up close, but can’t give details on when the wedding will take place.

Mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears is sporting some sparkling new jewelry – an engagement ring from fiancé Casey Aldridge.

Spears, 16, has been flashing the rock to friends and family around Louisiana and Mississippi, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE.

“She’s got an engagement ring,” the source says. “She’s been showing it off, talking about it.”

Spears and her 18-year-old fiancé are expecting the baby this summer. No official word yet on a wedding date for the couple.

That shrieking sound you hear is Lynne Spears, reading this story. As you recall, Lynn was adamant, in the interview with OK! Magazine breaking the pregnancy story, that Jamie Lynn was not going to marry Casey. But clearly, Jamie Lynn has a mind of her own. While she has reportedly been in therapy, taking parenting classes, and passed her GED exam, Jamie Lynn has also been on her own much of the time over the last few months since her older sister had a total meltdown and was in the hospital. So it makes sense that she would get closer with Casey while her mom and dad are away, looking after Britney. Hopefully this will be a long engagement instead of a rush to the altar before the baby is born. Jamie Lynn should know what a disaster that would be simply be looking at what happened to her sister.

Another week, another “Beyonce and Jay-Z are engaged or about to be married” story. Back in January, there was a rumor that they were secretly married at Georgio Armani’s house in Paris over the Christmas holidays. Both Jay-Z and Beyonce were sporting new matching ring-finger tattoos of the numeral IV, so people thought it must be symbolic of some kind of commitment, marriage being the logical assumption. Beyonce was rumored to be pregnant at that time, too, and that didn’t pan out. It seems like a lot of stories are spread about these two based on conjecture.

The singer and media mogul have been together for five years and despite all the rumors they haven’t split up, gotten engaged, or secretly married as far as we can tell.

Now there’s a story that Beyonce was seen out with a giant sparkling diamond ring on her left ring finger, but that she quickly stashed it in her purse when witnesses noticed it:

Beyonce, 26, and her longtime beau, Jay-Z, 38, had tongues wagging at Butter nightclub in NYC on Feb. 18. “She was wearing a huge diamong ring on her ring finger,” says an eyewitness. “When she noticed that I and some others noticed the rock, she quickly hid her hand behind her left elbow. Then she reached behind her to where her bag was, and after placing her hand in her bag, the ring disappeared!”

Maybe she does have a big old diamond ring, but who knows if Jay-Z bought it for her or if it means that they’re engaged. JayBird noted in her post about their supposed “secret wedding” over the holidays that they’ve been in a stable relationship for a while and it seems to work well for them. If they want to get married or not that’s their decision.

Jay-Z was rumored to have had a fling with Rihanna back when she first hit the scene, but he was also mentoring her music career and those type of rumors are only natural given their working relationship. Rihanna supposedly got pissed at Jay-Z at a party after the Grammys this year and had words with him. But Jay-Z mocked Rihanna’s accent when he was presenting at the Grammys, and it seems likely that she was mad at him over that and it wasn’t a lover’s spat or anything like that. She was at the party with Chris Brown. Rihanna recently addressed the rumors that she was having an affair with Jay-Z, saying that it made her uncomfortable that people thought that, and that Jay-Z told her just to ignore the stories.

Jay-Z is about to embark on a 25-city tour with Mary J. Blige starting March 22. They will play five separate dates in NY alone. Tickets for the first four performances sold out within hours.

Mary-Louise Parker is such a cutie. She’s just about always caught smiling when she’s out, and her part in Weeds is great. So I’m really happy to tell you she’s getting’ hitched, to Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

But the couple, who play husband and wife on the hit show “Weeds,” have recently rekindled their love and announced their engagement to friends. The two had showed up at the “P.S. I Love You” premiere in December 2007 holding hands.

He’s Denny from Grey’s Anatomy, in case you weren’t familiar with his name. Don’t bother trying to remember it, he’ll always be Denny to us. Even if he is playing her husband Judah on Weeds. ABC should have made a spin-off with him in it instead of Addison in boring Private Practice. Although it could be a little difficult because Denny is dead. They did bring him back once, why not again? The magic of television should make it possible – or how about Denny in the afterlife?

The couple has been a little on-again, off-again in recent years, splitting briefly in June 2007 because it was the “wrong time in both our lives.” They got together again shortly after, and began appearing in public as a couple in December.

Mary-Louise has two children, William aged four, with Billy Crudup, although they split when he started seeing Claire Danes in her seventh month of pregnancy. Nice. She also adopted a baby girl from Africa in September.

Mary-Louise has some sympathy for her fellow adoptive parents Brad and Angelina.

She said: “I think it’s inhumane. The media’s gotten more and more salacious, they’re just ruthless.”

Parker revealed that she was particularly disgusted by photographers’ attempts to get close to the couple’s adopted family, saying: “As people, I think it’s our duty to protect children at whatever cost and they really exploit the children of celebrities, especially their [Jolie and Pitt’s] children, at whatever cost to get a picture of them.”

She added: “It feels really immoral to me. It’s not fair for them. I think they actually handle it well.”

I have to agree with her, as of all the celebrities on earth who seek out paparazzi and publicity, I suspect that Brad and Ange would be under intense scrutiny no matter what they did. Sure, they use the media to promote worthy causes, films and other projects when it suits them, but they are definitely going to be photographed no matter what they do. Probably because they just look so freakin’ adorable, with all the little babies around them.

Mary-Louise Parker and Brad Pitt starred together in The Assassination of Jesse James, which could be part of the reason she feels compelled to speak out on their behalf.

Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted out at dinner with a fair trade diamond dealer, and since we can assume he’s no longer doing research for a role he must be planning on getting engaged to his on-again girlfriend, Bar Refaeli, right?

Now that Leonardo DiCaprio’s romance with model Bar Refaeli, 22, is back on, he’s shopping for diamonds. Leo, 33, had dinner with a diamond dealer who specializes in fair-trade gems at Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood on January 17, according to a witness. “Ever since starring in Blood Diamond, Leo has become sort of an expert on the industry,” his pal explains.

DiCaprio is also considered an expert on environmental issues, and has been invited by the Green Party of Scotland to speak before their Parliament. They are anxiously awaiting a response.

DiCaprio was among the stars in the audience at the friendly Democratic debate between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in Hollywood on Thursday. Other stars in attendance were Diane Keaton, Rob Reiner and Stevie Wonder.

I don’t see DiCaprio getting engaged at this point, especially considering how low-key he’s been in his relationship with Refaeli. We’ll have to wait it out and see what happens.

While we’ve had nearly a million celebrity pregnancies lately, it’s been a while since we’ve had an engagement. Babies are so hot right now. According to Ben Widdicombe at Gatecrasher, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are set to announce their engagement any day now. Of course their reps deny it, but I think we’ve learned that reps are paid not to give information or to accurately confirm or deny rumors, but to refute absolutely everything that comes their way. You could probably call Scarlett Johansson’s rep and ask if it’s true that Scarlett does indeed have a nose, and he’d say absolutely not, and tell you to go to hell. If you asked Ryan Reynolds’ rep if he is in fact taller than your average shrub, he’d probably tell you that’s completely ridiculous and/or that he has no comment. So I guess we’re left to assume everything is true.

Isn’t it enough that they’re gorgeous and rich and successful - do they have to be happy, too? Her rep is denying it, but a very good source tells me we can soon expect an engagement announcement from actors Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson. Mazel tov, kids!

The couple have been an item for almost a year. Reynolds ended his engagement to fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette last February, and by April he was spotted on a date with Johansson at the Odeon in Tribeca, looking very much in love.

Johansson herself had a high-profile relationship with actor Josh Hartnett. By coincidence, a friend of that ex-couple told me last week, “Josh has the funniest picture of Scarlett on his phone. They’re at home having dinner and she’s brandishing a carving knife over a chicken like a slasher, and making a face.”

So, what did we learn here? Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are probably getting married, and Scarlett has chicken issues. Probably shouldn’t serve any at the reception. Somehow it seems like the pair have been dating for longer than a year. They’re very cute together. I remember hearing one of the reasons Scarlett’s relationship with Josh Hartnett didn’t work is that she doesn’t believe in monogamy, which could make for an interesting marriage. Probably a pretty non-traditional one, filled with lots of drama, and (hopefully) lots of gossip. If they are indeed engaged, Ryan and Scarlett will have unnaturally beautiful children. Although it’s not officially rep-approved, I’m going to take a leap and go ahead and say congrats to them both!

Last Thursday we reported the rumor that Jake Gyllenhaal asked his unlikely girlfriend Reese Witherspoon to marry him when they had their first public vacation in Rome last October. We reported on the news as found on SFGate’s gossip blog, which sourced “reports,” which we assumed were the gossip rags. The source is Mike Walker’s column in The National Enquirer, which has an exclusive with this story this week and more details, including the fact that Reese was understandably reluctant at first but now wants to have a summer wedding? Can you imagine?

When Jake first proposed in Rome, he knew Reese needed time, and didn’t really expect her to say “yes” right away. He just wanted her to know that he was serious about their relationship - serious enough to make her his wife.” Jakes patience paid off. When the subject of marriage came up just before the New Year, Jake was stunned when his love said: Let’s plan on a summer wedding. “What really sealed the deal was how Jake took to Reese’s two kids, Ava and Deacon,” said a pal. “Take a look at pics of Jake carrying Deacon on his shoulders in a Malibu park and Reese walking hand-in-hand with Ava. You’re seeing a warm snapshot of domestic bliss.”

I was all set to believe this rumor until they started referring to the pictures as proof. That’s a dead giveaway that they don’t have a source. There does seem to be something going on between these two though. They looked mighty pissed to be photographed out together hiking with Reese’s kids, but they’re both actors so they could be looking grumpy for the cameras that they tipped off.

Although their first film as co-stars, Rendition, didn’t do so well at the box office that might have more to do with the serious subject matter than their box office draw. There’s a story in this week’s Star that they’re in talks to star in another film together in which they play lovers. If they are a couple that seems like an incredibly bad idea:

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal… are in negotiations to play lovers who break up and then make up just before Feburary 14 in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day.

If they’re going to be in another movie together it might explain why they’ve been spotted out hanging out together so often. Maybe they are just friends. Still, The Enquirer bolstered their engagement story with the news that Reese and Jake were together for a vacation weekend in New Mexico before New Years and that they went to a concert on New Year’s Eve at Disney Hall where they were seen cuddling and kissing at midnight.

The San Francisco Chronicle’s gossip blog, The Daily Dish, claims that Jake Gyllenhaal has proposed to Reese Witherspoon. It sounds like they’re quoting a gossip magazine, probably one that came out today for next week, but they don’t source their quotes. They say that Jake proposed to Reese way back when they had that much-publicized trip to Rome together, but that Reese demurred because it was too soon after her divorce from Ryan Phillippe. Reese has supposedly accepted Jake’s proposal now, though. This news comes right after a story that Jake was pouring over engagement rings at Cartier with the help of his sister, Maggie, but that he settled on a white gold “Love” necklace featuring two rings intertwined.

Friends claim Gyllenhaal proposed to Witherspoon during the couple’s vacation in Rome last October. Oscar-winner Witherspoon said “not yet,” so soon after her split from Ryan Phillippe, but reportedly has since said “yes,” after consulting with close friends.

A pal says, “Not only were they (her friends) crazy about Jake, they could see he was absolutely nuts about her. But you’ve go tot understand — Reese is a one-man woman who hates playing the field.

These two took pains not to be seen together at what was thought to be the beginning of their relationship last spring. They were first photographed together off set in July. They were seen in all-too-clear shots seeing the sights in Rome this October and looked like they were posing for the cameras right around the time that their film, Rendition, came out. People claimed their relationship was for publicity, but now they’ve been seen together on separate occasions getting coffee and going hiking with Reese’s kids. They even took a vacation together this fall, and may have been on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard together late this summer.

It seems like these two are for real, but are they really engaged? It’s possible, but doubtful. We’ll have to see if Reese is seen out with an engagement ring, or even her beautiful new necklace.

Drew Barrymore is said to be pushing her “Get a Mac” boyfriend, Justin Long, to propose despite her bad track record with marriages and the fact that she’s only been dating Long for five months. 32 year-old Drew was married to LA bartender Jeremy Thomas from March, 1994 to February, 1995. She was just 19 at the time. Her next marriage, to obnoxious comic Tom Green, lasted from July, 2001 to October, 2002. That’s how long the marriages officially lasted, but she split with both husbands well before their divorces were final of course. The National Enquirer points out that her two marriages lasted less than six months combined.

Drew Barrymore - who’s weathered two divorces - is determined to marry her new boyfriend Justin Long even though they’ve dated for only five months, her pals reveal…

“Drew knows she can make a marriage work - and she thinks Justin is the one,” a friend told the Enquirer. “She kidded Justin that his New Year’s resolution is for him to ask her for her hand in marriage…

“Drew has been pushing him to pop the question to her around her birthday in February,” revealed the insider.

Justin took Drew to Thanksgiving with his family in Connecticut, and it sounds like these two are getting serious while managing to avoid the spotlight. They also took a nice vacation together in Florida right before Christmas. Star reports that they checked into “the Delgano hotel in Miami Beach on December 19th after spending the weekend in the Florida Keys.”

Justin has a decent career ahead of him. Although he’s best known at the Mac guy in those commercials, he also stars as the voice of Alvin in the Alvin and The Chipmunks movie. Justin and Drew met this summer on the set of the upcoming film she’s producing, He’s Just Not That Into You, in which he stars.

There was a big deal made out of a night Drew had out with friends in Toronto in early November. She was photographed drinking a beer (shocker) and talking to some guy at a bar. She looked like she was whispering in his ear but maybe she had to yell because the music was too loud and that’s why she was so close to him. We haven’t heard much about Drew since so it sounds like she’s settling into a nice routine with her boyfriend and that they’ve managed not to go shopping at high end boutiques or eat at the paparazzi-swarmed restaurants.

Maybe the third time will be the charm for Drew and she’ll achieve a life of domestic tranquility away from the flashbulbs. She seems to realize what she needs to do so that people won’t needlessly speculate about her, with this recent minor exception.
