Pete Doherty is out of his reportedly successful stint at court-ordered rehab, and the British rags are buzzing that he’s going to marry Kate Moss soon. We’ve heard this story before, with Pete bragging to his mates that he was going to marry Kate during an earlier reconciliation. Kate and Pete were said to be planning a wedding in Ibiza last month when one of Pete’s many drug busts forced the postponement of their nuptuals.

Now comes news that the crazy couple wants to move to America, and are considering buying a place in New Jersey!

Jersey City is hot right now, and Hoboken isn’t bad either. It would be hysterical to see these two settle down in Jersey, and it seems like a great choice for them. Connecticut is also close to New York city, but somehow Jersey seems more fitting.

Attention whore Denise “Heather wasn’t my best friend” Richards is said to be engaged to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The two lshot to fame at the beginning of the year when Denise went through a nasty finger-pointing divorce with Charlie Sheen at the same time Sambora was divorcing his wife, Heather Locklear. Richards and Sambora were neighbors, and Locklear and Richards used to be friends, with sources claiming that Richards encouraged Locklear to file for divorce from Sambora.

Denise was spotted with a diamond on her left ring finger back in mid-June, sparking engagement rumors. Denise and Richie spent a romantic vacation together in Paris at the time, and news outlets said that it was no coincidence that the paparrazi knew exactly where to find them.

It was rumored as early as late May that they were planning a wedding to take place early next year when both of their divorces were final. Now that Denise has reached an amicable settlement with Charlie, it seems like things are moving along and they’re now said to be engaged:

Lindsay Lohan’s dad Micheal is annoyed by his fellow inmates hanging up pictures of his 20 year-old daughter. He makes it seem like he’s tough shit when he describes it, like he personally confronted a bunch of Lindsay-loving criminals and got them to take his daughter’s picture down:

Whatever. No wonder Lindsay is so screwed up. Oh wait - there’s her mom, Dina “The White Oprah who takes any excuse to speak on her daughter’s behalf” Lohan too.

Not content to just screw with one daughter’s career and life, Dina has arranged for ittle Ali Lohan, 12, to put out an album:

At least it’s a holiday album. That seems a chaste enough for a 12 year-old. The poor girl.

Here is Lindsay with Harry in Venice at the “Bobby” premiere and photocall. As PopSugar points out, she’s wearing a big ‘ol engagement ring. It looks like Harry is adding some much-needed stability to her life. It’s a shame her family couldn’t do that for her.

Lindsay Lohan was in Hawaii with her boyfriend, Pink Taco head Harry Morton, and the paps got plenty of photos and videos of them during their vacation. It looks like they were putting on a little show for the cameras as Harry grabs Lindsay’s boob suggestively and tilts her back while they kiss.

Rumor has it that Harry bought Lindsay an engagement ring at Cartier and was planning on popping the question. It may have happened as X17 has pictures of Lindsay wearing a big ‘ol ring on her left ring finger as she leaves Hawaii. It’s non-traditional if it’s an engagement ring, but Lindsay isn’t really a conventional girl.

X17 also has video of Harry and Lindsay at the airport. Poor Lindsay holds up her own camera and pitifully snaps random shots of all the surrounding paparrazi as a piss-poor defense. When the annoying cameraman following them asks Harry if they’re going to elope or get married, he says “maybe.”

Lindsay’s mom told Star magazine that she’s not engaged, but it could be true and she might not know about it:

It could be a promise ring or something. Lindsay seems to be smitten if she skipped the VMAs for this guy. Then again, she wasn’t missing much.

Charlize Theron sported darker hair and is still wearing that engagement ring we first spotted back in late April. A new interview from Scotland, where she has been attending the Edinburgh film festival, calls her boyfriend of four years, Irish actor Stuart Townsend, her fiance. It’s stated in a matter-of-fact manner despite the fact that this news hasn’t been announced:

Theron’s engagement has been under the radar in Hollywood, although she wore a ring on ther left ring finger to the opening of Club Social Hollywood in late June and may be waiting for the press to pick up on it.

She is producing and starring in a new film about Cuban music artists, her first in over two years. She quipped on stage at the Edinburgh film festival that she was moving to Scotland, as she was surprised that they gave her whisky to drink during a press conference.

Jennifer Aniston swears up and down that she’s not engaged to Vince Vaughn. Us Weekly stands by its story that she is engaged and cites a bunch of stories that celebrities denied but ended up being true. The first commentor notes that it’s pretty convenient selective reasoning on their part. Of course there are hits and misses in the messy, often-fabricated world of celebrity gossip.

Perez Hilton claims to know from an insider that Aniston was actually engaged to Vaughn and that US was right, but now she’s totally dumped while Vaughn is partying in Vegas and hitting on chicks. That sounds like a plausible explanation for Aniston’s vehement denial:

There you go. It looks like everyone is right, Us and Aniston. Is it surprising that Vaughn and Aniston broke up? They didn’t even want to be photographed together.

Vince and Jen were engaged for three hours yesterday, and everyone was tentatively happy for gloomy Aniston. Not even a well-Photoshopped magazine cover with a fake headline can get these two together publically, because they denied the rumor almost as soon as it was out. But - hold your horses - Jennifer’s publicist is known for his baldfaced lies, so this could possibly be true!

When Jen and Vince go out of their way to avoid each other publically, and Vince is completely unable to acknowledge the relationship, it makes it obvious that he’s unwilling to commit.

If US Weekly is right and there is an actual engagement, it seems like a last-ditch effort by Vince to keep Jen. He strikes me as the type of guy you can never pin down who would only ask Jen to marry him if he had no other options. My last boyfriend before I met my husband was like that. I dealt with his indecision for two years before that lousy relationship finally bit the dust. You can’t get blood out of a stone, and a man won’t change for you. Instead of trying to get a pet or focusing on other things, you should trade those type of guys in for a better model.

This doesn’t make sense though, because aren’t they supposed to be planning a huge wedding now? If they just got engaged at this point - and even if they didn’t, logic dictates that all the wedding stories are false. People don’t plan weddings before they’re engaged.

Guess Vince broke down and realized he had to commit to Jennifer Aniston or risk losing her. Maybe that call from Matthew McConaughey uh, pushed him over the edge… into the abyss. Vince has proposed to Jennifer, and US Weekly has confirmed it:

I for one would like to see the ring, and Jen and Vince’s smiling faces out at a public event. If he’s serious about keeping her he won’t pull that “we’re buddies” crap in interviews anymore and they shouldn’t be afraid to be photographed together. Um, best wishes?

Newly divorced Eddie Murphy and former Spice girl Melanie B., aka Scary Spice, have been dating a little over a month. They’ve already gotten tattoos with each other’s names on them, and now they’re planning on doing something a little less permanent to seal their relationship. Rumor has it they’re planning on getting married this September in LA:

Marrying someone less than a year after meeting them usually means the relationship is doomed - especially in Hollywood. This is not going to last, and if Murphy has any cash left from the 90s Scary is going to do well in the settlement.

Charlize Theron wore what looked like an engagement and a wedding ring on her left hand to the grand opening of club Social Hollywood last night, June 27. She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Irish actor Stuart Townsend. We spotted an engagement ring on Theron’s left hand in late April when she was photographed attending a basketball game with Townsend. There was a rumor shortly afterward that they were planning a secret wedding in Savannah, GA, but nothing seems to have come of that.

There’s no ring on Townsend’s left hand, but this still looks suspicious. Whatever the story, Theron is trying to tell us something. Celebrities don’t just wear rings on their left ring finger to openings without having an ulterior motive.

This is kind of an exclusive, because as far as we know we’re the first blog to cry wolf about Theron’s rings.
