There was all this drama recently over LeAnn Rimes and her buddy allegedly using fake accounts to harass people on Twitter. Many of you commented on it, and are noting that it’s quite interesting that once LeAnn would potentially be exposed for this, she decided to be nice. It’s telling that this is the time she’s deciding to reach out to the woman she’s been single white femaling, Brandi Glanville, her fiance’s ex wife. She issued a twitlonger a statement that she spoke with Brandi and agreed to end any harassment on Twitter, as if Brandi had anything to do with it or was suspected of anything other than being targeted by LeAnn.

LeAnn, 28, took to her Twitter page yesterday to write a final message stating that the women had talked and decided to play nice from now on.

‘As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another,’ Rimes tweeted Sunday.
‘We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are only ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another.’

‘Please for our families’ sake stop the hate now and let us live our lives,’ the singer added. ‘We don’t need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen.’

Brandi, 38, then re-tweeted the message, showing her support for what LeAnn had written.

I’m so over LeAnn and her eating disorder drama and her grade school harassment tactics. She’s so transparently needy and narcissistic and troubled. Brandi’s responses to the person that was harassing her, again allegedly LeAnn, were very gracious as we’ve come to expect from her. I doubt this is the end of it though. LeAnn might not be openly harassing Brandi on Twitter anymore but she’s undoubtedly still trying to usurp Brandi’s role as a mother, and that probably won’t stop.

As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t watch Glee. It’s not that I dislike musicals – I actually love musicals. Real musicals. But I don’t enjoy the vibe of Glee, with it’s ridiculous high school setting and what amounts to glorified Karaoke. Plus, the people in the show annoy the hell out of me. Lea Michele? I want to smack her. Matthew Morrison? Zzzzz. Dianna Agron? Double zzzz. That 40 year old Jeremy Piven-esque douche with the Mohawk? Ugh.

Anyway, as Glee’s popularity seems to be waning, more and more rock stars are speaking out about their hatred for Glee. Slash was one of the first to say he didn’t give a crap and wasn’t going to license his songs for the show. Then in January, the Kings of Leon and Glee creator Ryan Murphy got into a public bitch-fight over song-licensing, which quickly devolved into a faux-homophobic controversy. Now Dave Grohl, former Nirvana bandmate and current lead of the Foo Fighters, is calling out Murphy and Glee in a new interview:

When it comes to using his band’s songs on ‘Glee,’ the Foos frontman sides with Kings of Leon and Slash in the licensing battle. Don’t count on hearing the Foo Fighters hit “Times Like These” on Glee anytime soon. Frontman Dave Grohl says he and his bandmates are squarely in the corner of Kings of Leon and Slash. As in, they want no part of the Ryan Murphy-helmed show.

“It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f—ing Glee,” Grohl told THR following the premiere of Foo Fighters: Back and Forth, the new Foo Fighters documentary which just made its South By Southwest debut. “And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his f—ing show… f— that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee.”

You might be wondering, has Grohl ever actually watched the show? As it turns out, yes, he gave Glee a whirl. “I watched 10 minutes. It’s not my thing,” Grohl grizzled. But he doesn’t have as much of a problem with the series as he does with its creator.

Recounting anti-Glee comments made by Slash earlier this year and subsequent retorts by Murphy, reported by THR, Grohl explained to drummer Taylor Hawkins: “The Glee guy, what a f—ing jerk. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns ‘n’ Roses and Slash is like, ‘I hate f—ing musicals. It’s worse than Grease.’ Then [Murphy's] like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up ol’ rock star, that’s what they f—ing do.’ And then Kings of Leon say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And then he’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes…’ And it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.”

Said Hawkins: “Yeah, f— that sh-t.”

You know what I love about these quotes? I love that Dave recounted everything that went down between Ryan Murphy and these rock stars. Like, Dave was paying attention and he has a gossip-writer’s memory for details and chronology. I love him now. He and I are the same person.

Anyway, I can’t wait to see what Ryan Murphy says about this. You know he’s going to have another epic douche meltdown.

Squat alcoholic reality star Snooki made an appearance in the ring for the WWE’s raw on Monday night. (You can watch the video below. Snooki obviously has a lot of practice.) That chick who left Jersey Shore after sleeping with everyone (except Ronnie), Angelina, is also doing wrestling gigs and is mad at Snooki for stealing her career ambitions. She called Snooki a “fat troll” and pointed out the tiny shorts Snooki was wearing, which offered a view that made onlookers shield their eyes.

Former “Jersey Shore” star Angelina is PISSED after watching Snooki’s crotchtastic debut on WWE Monday night — calling Snook a “fat troll” who’s ripping her off … by jumping in the ring.

Angelina — who’s trying to turn her recent TNA appearance into a full-time job — tells TMZ, it’s totally obvious Snooki is ripping her off by trying to be a wrestler … claiming Snook has been jealous of her since day one.

And that’s just the beginning — Angelina throws in one final jab, adding, Snooki is “a fat troll who should never wear those shorts … or be in a wrestling ring.”

As TMZ points out, these two need to fight it out in the ring, and even if it starts out staged they’ll probably go at it for real. Snooki should also wear some pants that don’t show her ass cheeks – if that’s what we were even looking at.

First I’ll give the disclaimer that this story is in the National Enquirer, so it could have a grain of truth to it or it could be wishful thinking. Beyonce and Lady Gaga are presumably friends or at least work acquaintances considering that they did that Telephone song and video. According to the Enquirer they’re not getting along and there are some bad feelings there. Like a lot of us Beyonce (supposedly) finds Gaga’s stunts tired, over-the-top and “tacky” and thinks that Gaga tries to steal focus from other hardworking musicians who don’t go to the lengths she does for attention.

“Beyonce thought Gaga’s entrance [at the Grammy's] was way over the top and ridiculously self-serving,” said the insider. “Every other artist worked the red carpet in a traditional manner, but Gaga made it all about her.”

The ill will boiled over backstage, according to the insider, with Beyonce going out of her way to ignore her former collaborator. That enraged Gaga, who was heard complaining to friends about the “Single Ladies” singer.

“At this point, Gaga is used to people criticizing her. It’s part of being so successful,” explained a source close to Lady Gaga. “But she never expected it from Beyonce, who she saw as a friend and supported. Gaga plans to confront her the next time they run into each other and demand an apology.”

But Beyonce, 29, remains upset at how Gaga tries to steal the spotlight at public events with other stars, disclosed the insider.

“Beyonce believes that musicians should let their talent do the talking, and she finds it really tacky that Gaga constantly tries to one-up everyone with her ridiculous fashion statements.

“She telling people that she wants to take Gaga down a few pegs.”

Beyonce is just mad she didn’t think of this first. She’s not above wearing outlandish outfits while she performs, and she does videos as strange as Gaga’s. She just doesn’t let her “Sasha Fierce” persona bleed too much into her off stage presence, except for the occasional metal glove.

Even if this is a manufactured feud from the Enquirer, you can see where they could be right, not only about Beyonce’s feelings about Gaga but for other musicians in general. Imagine if you’d been working hard at your job for years, showing up and doing exactly what you’re supposed to every day and some new employee comes along, screws the boss and gets a promotion right away. That’s pretty much what Gaga’s been doing with her “look at me,” “talk about me” antics, only she’s trying to get the attention of the fans. She works hard at what she does but you could see where people would say she’s not playing by the rules at all. She’s learned from other successful artists before her how to cause a scene and its like she’s throwing every trick against the wall and seeing what sticks. Talent does not trump all in the music industry.

Kathy Griffin loves to talk smack about people, and she’s a comedian so it’s part of her job. She gets a kick out of it, and sometimes she crosses a line but usually she seems to know exactly what she’s doing. Hence she goes after Sarah Palin and her family, because Palin is incredibly predictable and can be counted on to humorlessly respond. That’s exactly what she did when Griffin joked that she was going to take 16 year-old Willow, Sarah’s daughter, down. Remember how Sarah said that David Letterman was joking about statutory rape when he accidentally made a joke about Willow? Rinse and repeat.

Sarah Palin grew agitated when Fox News correspondent Jeanine Pirro asked her thoughts about Kathy Griffin playing a character loosely based on her on an upcoming episode of Glee.

“You know, Kathy Griffin can do anything to me or say anything about me, because you know, she’s kind of this – she’s a 50-year-old adult bully is really what she is,” Palin said over the weekend (via Huffington Post).

“She’s kind of a has-been comedian and she can do those things to me. I would just ask for respect of my children. As she had stated on CNN that her New Year’s resolution was to destroy my 16-year-old daughter, that takes it a little too far,” Palin continued.

“Kathy, pick on me, come up to Alaska and pick on me, but leave my kids alone,” she went on.
Griffin has skewered the Palin family in her comedy routines over the past two years, calling Bristol the “the White Precious,” and joking that Levi Johnston (who fathered a baby with a teen Bristol) is her boyfriend.

The family has fought back before; in February, Bristol brought up Griffin’s near-fatal liposuction experience and criticized her as a comedian in an interview with Fox News.

Why so serious, Sarah? My mom taught me not to let people know if they bothered me, and to act like I couldn’t care less what they say. Then again, my mom was showing me how to let arguments die on their own, not how to get press coverage. With the Palins, it’s all about how much we talk about them and Kathy loves goading Sarah into her default setting – mad and acting like people are out to attack her family.

Oh and Kathy explained to the Hollywood Reporter why she wanted to “offend a new Palin.” She said that Willow had “called people a fa–ot on Facebook a couple of times. You don’t throw around the f-word without hearing from me about it.” Here’s more of what Willow wrote, which no one from the Palin family has apologized for.

A couple of years ago, Joan Rivers had a rotation of jokes which was pretty Angelina Jolie-heavy. It seemed like whenever Joan made an appearance on any show, she had a quip about Angelina’s kids working in a sweatshop or how stupid Angelina was or how Angelina was trying to steal/adopt one of the kids from Slumdog Millionaire. Joan repeated these same jokes ad nauseum, and I remarked about it at the time, basically saying that Joanie needed some new material. Many commenters disagreed, defending Joan an a comedic icon and even agreeing with her in her assessment of Angelina. Let’s see how the worm turns, shall we?

Joan and Melissa Rivers were invited to do a little video interview for Us Weekly a few days ahead of the Oscars. I guess it’s their way of promoting their red carpet show, or their new reality show or something. They got questions about various celebrity encounters, and they tell some fresh stories about Nicole Richie and Leonardo DiCaprio. Then, Joan is asked “If you could do something to anyone, who and what would it be?” Joan’s reply: “I would like to take Jennifer Aniston and put her hair over her f**ing face! I’m so bored with her and her stupid movies. They’re all the same, I don’t know how they get financed.” Here’s the video:

I’m waiting for Joan’s defenders to step up once again. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Regarding her Aniston comments specifically – she wouldn’t have to put Aniston’s hair over her face. Aniston does that already! That’s her signature hairstyle, “The Shaggy Dog” or “Hair In The Face”.

These are photos from earlier this month, on the New York set of New Year’s Eve, the follow-up to Valentine’s Day. It’s an ensemble romantic comedy, and Sofia Vergara and Katherine Heigl both have parts in it (Heigl got the part meant for Halle Berry). Sofia and Katherine were put together as friends or coworkers within the film, and I believe they’ve already shot most of their scenes. Which brings me to one of the funnier tabloid stories this week – according to Star Magazine‘s insider, “Katherine’s always complaining about having to stand outside in the cold for long periods of time, and Sofia can’t stand her whining. Finally, Sofia told her to be grateful that she has the role in the first place.” Ha! After Sofia told Dame Heigl to STFU, the insider claims that Dame Heigl and Sofia just started ignoring each other. Now, it just feels like this is true, right? It reinforces what we know of the two women – Sofia is easy-going and happy to have found a niche in Hollywood, and Dame Heigl is an ungrateful snot who bitches and moans about every little thing. Unfortunately, Gossip Cop is raining on my bitch-fight parade:

The tab claims co-stars Sofia Vergara and Katherine Heigl are “ignoring each other on set.”

The reason?

A Star “insider” says, “Katherine’s always complaining about having to stand outside in the cold for long periods of time, and Sofia can’t stand her whining… Finally, Sofia told her to be grateful that she has the role in the first place. That clearly didn’t go over well.”
Unfortunately, Star’s dish is even colder than the temperature on the film’s New York set.

A source close to Vergara assures Gossip Cop the feud is “not true.” And a production source notes Vergara and Heigl worked together only ONE day – and that was two weeks ago.

We’re also told the two women got along great.

So, who to believe? Star Magazine’s insider with his delicious story of Dame Heigl living up to her a–hole hype, or Gossip Cop’s source who claims that the whole thing is false? I tend to believe that Sofia and Dame Heigl probably didn’t get along all that well, but that both of them managed to be professional throughout their one day of filming.

Last week, paparazzi got photos of Camilla Parker Bowles (HRH The Duchess of Cornwall) exiting a restaurant where she and Kate Middleton had enjoyed a lunch. The British papers claimed that the meeting was all good – that Camilla was giving Kate some pointers, some advice, and that Kate took it all in stride. The American tabloids, however, claim that the meeting went really, really badly. The Enquirer’s Mike Walker claims that Camilla has convinced Prince Charles that Kate shouls only be allowed to invite a “handful” of guests to the wedding, and that Camilla is conspiring to get all of HER guests royal invites. According to Walker’s sources, when Kate found out, she bitched out William and told him to stand up to his father and his step-mother, and that William totally did. Now, Kate can allegedly invite whoever she wants. I don’t really buy any of that – because Kate is a geisha. She’s not fighting with anyone over anything. But that’s not all! Star Magazine had another take:

Planning the wedding of her dreams has turned into Kate Middleton’s nightmare! Camilla Parker Bowles is sticking her nose into every detail, and Kate isn’t prepared to put up with it! During their lunch on February 9, Camilla was overheard telling Kate “If I can give you one bit of advice…” after which followed a long-winded lecture from Camilla about Kate’s wedding being too flashy, especially given the recession. Camilla even suggested sausages and minimizes for the wedding dinner.

“Kate was stunned and insulted,” says an insider. “She and William have a budget, of course, but the wedding is definitely going to be a luxurious affair.”

Camilla also smugly told Kate she needs to dial back the glamour – and not just on her wedding day. “She warned Kate that she shouldn’t go ‘the Diana way’ and get too caught up in the glitz of being a royal,” the insider says.

“Kate couldn’t believe that Camills held up Diana as an example of what not to be like… she has enormous respect for Diana because of what she did for the world and her sons. Kate was livid, and she told Camilla exactly what she thought of her.”

After the lunch, “Camilla actually called William after and told him that Kate is too headstrong.” Meanwhile, “Kate told William she never wants to spend time with Camilla like that again.”

The article goes on to detail how Kate is “pushing the envelope” and demanding her way on everything, including access to all of the royal properties so that she can “jog in peace” without the peasants milling about. According to Star, Kate is super-assertive and everyone is giving in to her because she waited for so long and they think she deserves it. My take? Kate is not assertive. Kate is not pushy. Kate is patient. She is quiet. She is reserved. She is anything the royals want her to be.

But yeah, Camilla sounds like a real bitch here. We knew that already, right?

It was just about a year ago that US Weekly claimed that Jennifer Aniston “stole” Angelina Jolie’s look because she dared to wear a dress of a completely different fabric, color and cut that just happened to have a sexy thigh high slit, a designer gown feature that has been popular for years.

Aniston recently wore a strapless black dress with a long sheer skirt, somewhat similar but in no way identical to Angelina’s strapless Elie Saab from the 2009 Oscars. This is not even close to a “who wore it best?” moment, as Aniston’s Dolce & Gabbana dress has a different bodice, neckline, design and fit than Angelina’s. They’re both black dresses with some superficially similar details though, so US is going to go there. Their headline reads “Jennifer Aniston copies Angelina Jolie’s style.” As wrong as they are, I admire that they’re one of the last mainstream celebrity outlets that is willing to be so provocative and bitchy. They sure have it out for Aniston, though, and that’s been true for some time.

Aniston is not my favorite person because I like my celebrities to be able to string a sentence together, but even I will admit that this is a cheap shot. Is she supposed to have her people review all of Angelina’s outfits for the past several years to ensure that she choses something that’s radically different for every event? If Aniston starts wearing shapeless boat neck dresses (and you know that’s not going to happen) then they can make a comparison. She should do it just to get people talking smack, since they’re going to do it anyway.

In related news about Aniston and the Just Go With It premiere, Heidi Montag has backtracked on her comments that Aniston had her banned from the red carpet. The way Heidi explained her gaffe makes it sound like she made up the story.

Oh and it’s also Aniston’s 42nd birthday today! Hope it’s a good one with lots of sun and plenty of margaritas. Or, you know, like any other day for her. Must be nice.

Stories about diva discord have plagued Gossip Girl for the three years the show has been on the air. Just last year, the Enquirer had a story about Blake Lively and Leighton Meester trying to one-up each other on set and off, especially when it came to fashion, career and media. Now In Touch Weekly has another variation – their sources claim that Leighton is the good girl, the professional who simply likes having a job, while Blake is the diva who fancies herself a major star, to the point where she thinks she’s too good for Gossip Girl:

The tension between Gossip Girl beauties Blake Lively and Leighton Meester is going into overdrive, according to a setsider, who says the acresses are complete opposites.

“Blake is a huge diva! She sees herself as the star of the show,” says an insider. “Leighton is pretty low-key.”

According to another insider, the two women “totally avoid each other between takes. Blake’s been getting a lot of attention this year – she’s done a movie with Ben Affleck and another with Ryan Reynolds…she’s talking about leaving the show, and Leighton and other are really fed up.”

Since I don’t watch Gossip Girl, I’m not going to make a judgment call on who and who is not the star of that show. It was my understanding that while Blake might get top billing over Leighton, Leighton has more of a fan-base. And while Blake might get to say “I worked with and under Ben Affleck,” Leighton is no slouch either. Her starring role (with Minka Kelly) in The Roommate just came in number one at the box office last weekend. While The Roommate got awful reviews (just as Country Strong did, which Leighton also had a part in), having a number one movie will be good for Leighton’s career. So the next time Blake rolls her eyes and says “God, I wish I was on a set with Ben Affleck right now…” Leighton should be all “Yeah, I wish you were too. STFU or GTFO, Bolt-Ons.”
