Britney Spears’ busted weave is still looking trashy, but not quite as bad

fp_5595523_spears_britney_fp1_081810

Last month, Britney Spears stepped out with her traditionally budget, trashy weave looking especially mangy and busted. It was a mess – it looked like she never washes her hair and that she’d been rubbing her roots with vegetable oil and fleas. Anyway, Britney stepped out yesterday and the paps got another glimpse of the weave. Honestly, it’s not looking as bad as it was last month. But it still looks pretty trashy. Prepare yourself:

fp_5595539_spears_britney_fp1_081810

Ugh, Britney. Just cut the damn thing out and go with a short little haircut! Wouldn’t Brit look cute with a shaggy little Mick Jagger haircut? It would be so sweet and fresh. But she keeps this look up for some reason.

In other Brit news, she was filming her Glee cameo/part yesterday. She tweeted the below photo and had a bunch of nice stuff to say:

britbrit

Britney’s Gleeking out! On Wednesday, Britney Spears sent her first Tweets — and a photo! — from the set of Glee, where she’s begun filming her scenes for the upcoming “all-Britney” episode.

“About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!” the pop star, 28, wrote. A few hours later, she added, “what’s up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode!”

In an accompanying TwitPic, Spears seems to be in costume: wearing clear plastic-framed glasses and a gray top that, perhaps, a teacher might wear. (She stands next to her assistant, Brett Miller.)

Glee creator Ryan Murphy was vague on details about Spears’ special episode during a radio appearance last week. He teased that Spears may show up when members of the show’s glee club hallucinate while under anesthesia at the dentist. “They have fantasies of how they can be like her,” he explained.

Murphy added that the episode is “so reverential about her…It’s about her music and it’s not about her personal life.”

Spears also used Twitter last week to announce her return to the recording studio, where she’s begun work on the followup to her 2008 smash comeback Circus.

[From Us Weekly]

It sounds like they’re being really nice to her on the set of Glee, and honestly, wouldn’t you be nice to her too? I would love to befriend Britney. I would take her to get her done properly, or failing that, I would cut out the weave myself and style her hair in some spiky, cute little punk ‘do. Then I would start in on her clothes – cute jeans and peasant blouses instead of booty shorts and WalMart tank tops. If only…

Jane Lynch unveils her wax statue

wenn5523303
Everyone’s favorite villian, Glee’s Jane Lynch, was on hand in Los Angeles to unveil her tracksuit-outfitted smirking waxwork at Madame Tussaud’s yesterday. The figure is a very close likeness of Lynch’s character Sue Sylvester, and she must be proud. I’m a real fan of Lynch and find her to be such a funny and convincing character actress. Lynch must have been elated to hear that Pop 8 was overturned in California yesterday and I bet she was partying last night. She married her longterm partner, Dr. Lara Embry, in Massachusetts on Memorial Day.

Lynch discussed her new figure with People, and explained that the measuring process took four hours. This whole waxmaking business must be pretty high tech by now.

Jane Lynch has a clone. The Glee star, 50, was joined by her new wife Dr. Lara Embry, a real-life high school Glee club, and more than 100 screaming fans Wednesday morning when her wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds on Hollywood Blvd. Following opening remarks by Ian Brennan, the co-creator of the hit Fox show, Lynch walked out beside her statue, modeled after her character Sue Sylvester, and told the crowd, “Holy crap—unbelievable. This is too much. This is too weird. I feel like I’m seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!” Lynch tells PEOPLE the whole experience is “strange and eerie,” adding, “it looks just like me.” But the cloning process was not so simple. “It took four hours,” Lynch said. “They took the measurements of my face and my body, and they put dots all over. There was a contraption that measured from here to here, to here, to here, to here for four hours.”–Dahvi Shira

[From People]

That’s great that she got a waxwork! I’ve never checked out a Madame Tussauds, but I think I’ll do to the one here in Berlin this weekend. It should be fun to see all the frozen celebrities and take pictures.

I was looking for related news about Lynch to report, and came across an article that Star magazine ran in their print edition early in June. They claimed that everyone on Glee was overworked, putting in 16 hour days, complaining about it and asking for raises – except for Jane Lynch! They quote a source who said “Jane is so thrilled to be on Glee, she’d work 24 hours a day if she had to. So far she hasn’t made a peep about being overworked.Star reports that Jane also earns the most out of the cast though, around $50,000 an episode. That’s how it should be. Love her!

Katie Holmes could get a five episode story arc on Glee

SEVILLE, SPAIN - JUNE 16: Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes attend 'Knight and Day' premiere at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville, Spain. (Photo by Carlos Alvarez/Getty Images)
Katie Holmes is still trying to pass herself off as a “triple threat” – the old-school Hollywood term for someone who acts, sings and dances. We’ve seen her attempt this at the Tony awards, “So You Think You Can Dance” and a certain awesomely bad viral video with…lackluster results. But that’s not stopping Mrs. Tom Cruise. She’s using her connections to get herself a part on the hottest musical on television: Glee.

Katie Holmes is looking to boost her sagging career with a role on the hit show “Glee.”

The former “Dawson’s Creek” cutie is negotiating with producers to guest star in a five-part storyline on FOX’s red-hot musical comedy satire, The Enquirer has learned.

“Katie’s film career has stalled, and she desperately needs a career boost. She’s hoping a stint on ‘Glee’ will jump-start her standing in Hollywood,” an insider told The Enquirer.

“She’s been taking dancing lessons from choreographer Tyce Diorio three times a week and she recently hired a private singing coach.”

The 31-year-old actress and wife of Tom Cruise are big fans of “Glee” and classic movie musicals. Last year, Katie performed a rendition of the Judy Garland classic “Get Happy” during an episode of “So You Think You Can Dance.”

To sell herself for a role, Katie arranged an introduction to the show’s creator Ryan Murphy through her friend Dianna Agron – who plays ice-queen cheerleader Quinn Fabray on the show.

“Katie is finalizing a deal to join the cast for a limited story line next season,” said the source. “Tom loves Glee, too, and Katie’s invited Dianna over for impromptu sing-a-longs and dance sessions at their home in Beverly Hills.”

[From The National Enquirer print version, July 12, 2010]

Thanks, Enquirer. Now I will have the image of Tom Cruise whipping out the “jazz hands,” in his specially made dance shoes with lifts inside, all day! Why does the Cruise home always sound like Gay Central to me? I should really stop being so darn judgmental. My family watches Glee, although my husband is a lot less enthusiastic about it than me and my daughters. However, there are no “impromptu” family sing and dance-a-thons going on. Of course, I also wonder how impromptu these sessions are at Casa Cruise when Katie is lobbying for a role, right? Funny how she suddenly became BFFs with a Glee cast member and BAM! She’s on the show. But that’s how Hollywood works. I just hope Katie’s crappy acting and unintentionally hilarious singing don’t make it too unbearable for five whole episodes!

‘Glee’ star Chris Colfer is even more awesome than we thought
41441, MADRID, SPAIN - Thursday June 10 2010. Actors Chris Colfer (L) and Amber Riley attend a photocall for Glee at the AC Palacio del Retiro Hotel in Madrid. Photograph: Max Powell, PacificCoastNews.com

The Fox runaway muscial hit “Glee” is huge right now, and most of the attention is on its big breakout stars, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison. But Chris Colfer, who plays fabulous out-and-proud student Kurt Hummel, has quite a cult following, too. Not only can this kid sing, dance and act, but according to The Enquirer, Chris has spent most of his life prior to his “Glee” success caring for his younger sister who has severe epilepsy. He once promised his sister that if he became rich and famous, he would raise money and awareness to help find a cure for the disease.

Teenage “Glee” star Chris Colfer spent much of his young life taking care of his severely epileptic younger sister before heading off to seek fame and fortune in Hollywood.

In an exclusive Enquirer interview, Chris’ proud mom said he’s a “hero” for the sacrifices he’s made for his sister. “Chris was always instrumental in Hannah’s life – he still is,” Karyn Colfer says.

Chris, 20, plays Beyonce-loving gay singer Kurt Hummel on the hit musical comedy. In real-life he was a three-time speech and debate champion at Clovis East High School in California’s San Joaquin Valley.

But he spent much of his time caring for his little sister.

“He was the center of her world, taking the time to do whatever she wanted to do,” says Karyn, 47. “Chris was absolutely selfless when it came to his sister – he gave up a great deal of his social life for her.”

Hannah, now 14, was crushed when Chris decided to strike out on his own, says Karyn. But a few days before he left, he bought web cams so the two could teleconference through Skype when they started missing each other.

“Chris is a great brother. He’s a hero to Hannah.”

Karyn told the Enquirer that Hannah can have as many as 50 seizures an hour, and has not responded to several different courses of medication. Hannah recently underwent operations to implant nerve stimulators, and the family is hoping the procedure will improve her condition.

Karyn adds: “You know, when Chris was growing up, people would ask him, ‘Are you going to become a doctor so you can find a cure for your sister?’” And he would say, ‘I’m going to grow up and become a famous actor so I can pay someone ELSE a ton of money to find a cure.’”

True to his word, Chris recently donated a large sum of money to the nonprofit group CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy).

[From the National Enquirer print version, July 5, 2010]

So, while Lea Michele is out there allegedly racking up diva bitch points, Chris, who is every bit as talented, is using his new found fame for good. I think that alone warrants another Kurt-centered episode of Glee soon, don’t you? What a great kid.

Glee creator tried to ban cast from having sex in their trailers

41603, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Tuesday June 15 2010. Glee star Mark Salling is caught out as he tres to sneak past photographers on his way into the Trousdale club. Photograph: Anthony, PacificCoastNews.com *FEE MUST BE AGREED PRIOR TO USAGE E-TABLET/IPAD & MOBILE PHONE APP PUBLISHING REQUIRES ADDITIONAL FEES**
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has a new interview in Britain’s Heat Magazine in which he reveals the chuckle-inducing fact that he tried to get cast members to stop having sex in their trailers, but was completely unsuccessful. I’ve read Heat and they do get the occasional exclusive interview, so it looks like these quotes are legitimate. From what I’ve heard about how hard the Glee kids work, it sounds cruel to try and deny them the right to get their rocks off. Was Mr. Scheuster barred from having sexual relations too, or are just the actors that play teens subject to the ban? They’re all legal adults, with the youngest being Chris Colfer, 20, who plays Kurt. The next youngest is Kevin McHale at 22.

Ryan Murphy, one of the creators and producers of the smash hit American musical comedy show, was forced to issue the special guidelines for the series’ young actors after the breach of the on-set rules.

He said he banned sex in cast trailers, in an attempt to stamp out romances between the young actors spiralling out of control and to maintain discipline.

He admitted he often felt like “the dad” on set and despite the long production days and the physical demands he insisted they keep professional and not act on their urges on set.

He declined to name the actors who had breached the rules.

“I’ve certainly dated people I’ve worked with and, you know, when you work on a set for 18 hours a day I think it’s natural,” he told Heat Magazine.

“But I have a rule: don’t do it in your trailer. They’ve broken that rule on many occasions. I’m like, ‘I know you guys are young and hormonal, but don’t do it in your trailer’. I’m the dad, that’s what I say’.”

His comments come after Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale, who play Tina Cohen-Chang and Artie Abrams, a wheelchair-bound character, on the show, were photographed at a London nightclub together and frolicking on a beach in Monaco.

[From The Telegraph]

From what I’ve been able to find, Naya Rivera, 23, (Santana) and Mark Salling, 24, (Puck) are dating (although they half deny it) as are Jenna Ushkowitz, 24, (Tina) and Kevin McHale, 22, (Artie). There are probably plenty other hookups going on that we haven’t heard about. I’m sure it’s distracting for people when co-workers are dating, especially if they hold up production by having sexy time in their trailers. It’s only to be expected when you put young attractive people together working long hours. Matthew Morrison (Mr. Shue) says they can work up to 16 hours, and guest star Neil Patrick Harris called the cast “exhausted and overworked.” Maybe they should be sleeping instead of shagging.

By the way, Mr. Schue is having a busy love life off set. The abtastic Matthew Morrison has been seen out in London with at least two different maybe love-interests, actress Kelly Brook and Holly Branson, the attractive daughter of billionaire Virgin mogul Sir Richard Branson. The Glee cast is in London promoting the show, and Morrison will be recording an album. He did a duet with Leona Lewis to “Over the Rainbow” during one of her concerts on Thursday night.

Miley Cyrus hates ‘Glee’: “Honestly, musicals? I just can’t.”

107952-miley_cyrus_brian-bowen-smith_617_409

Miley Cyrus is the current cover girl for Billboard Magazine. I actually wasn’t aware that Billboard was an actual magazine publication, I thought it just a newsletter and a site, so I learned something new today. The whole piece (online here) is all about Miley’s strategic corporate move away from teeny-bopper to legit adult pop star, although Miley is still talking sh-t about pop music in general, and repeating the claim that she “doesn‘t listen” to pop music. But the quote that is drawing the most attention is her disrespect of Fox’s hit TV show Glee. Miley snots: “Honestly, musicals? I just can’t. What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes?” Um… so I didn’t watch Hannah Montana, but isn’t that exactly what Hannah Montana was like? Or am I wrong?

On aging before our eyes: “I’m just at a certain place where I’ve changed a lot as a person,” she says. “I’ve grown up a lot, which everyone does.”

On the gigantic birdcage in her “Can‘t Be Tamed” video: “You’re going to, like, die when you see the birdcage in the video because it’s so crazy,” she says. Despite Cyrus’ march into adulthood, she still talks like a teenager-all rapid-fire patter that, by my transcribing tally, comes in at around 200 words per minute. “I’ve got, like, 30 dancers in there and a tree and a nest. Literally, it’s out of control. I’m definitely going to be doing a lot more stuff like that.”

On how her music isn‘t “shallow”: “I listen to zero pop music, which is really weird for someone who makes pop music,” Cyrus says, noting that the first concert she ever went to was Poison. (She covers “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” with Bret Michaels doing backing vocals on the album.) “My 13-year-old self would have beaten up my 17-year-old self because she would be like, ‘You’re a sellout!’ But that’s not what it is. It’s not dance music that’s just about, ‘Ooh, I’m in the club and everyone’s looking at me.’ It means something. I’m not just sitting here trying to sell glitz and glamour…because no one lives that life. A lot of [pop] songs are super shallow, but this music isn’t.”

On her busy schedule: “It’s hard when you’re doing a show and you’re going to London for two days and then you come back and you’re doing the show again,” she says. “I can kind of bounce around everywhere and I don’t really have something that’s tying me back here.”

On Lady Gaga: “Unlike a lot of artists, all her music does mean something to her personally.”

On the comparisons between Hannah Montana and Glee, which she doesn‘t watch: A big part of the appeal of she can’t quite find it in herself to suspend her belief enough to watch “Glee” even though the show featured “The Climb” in a recent episode. “Honestly, musicals? I just can’t. What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes?” She pauses for a second, and then laughs. “It would get hits on YouTube.”

[From Billboard]

Personally, my favorite STFU quote is “A lot of [pop] songs are super shallow, but this music isn’t.” Oh, Miley. You are the very definition of shallow. And that’s when we’re being kind! I always go back and forth on Miley – I think she’s improved so much, even in just the past year that I’ve been following her interviews with any regularity, she’s gotten smarter and more interesting. But she thinks the whole world revolves around her – typical teenage bullsh-t, actually, except that everyone is agreeing with her, “Yes, Miley, everything does revolve around you!”

Glee creator defends Lea Michele against diva criticism

Photo by: Raoul Gatchalian/starmaxinc.com @2010 05/17/10 Lea Michele (GLEE) at the 2010 F
A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Lea Michelle, Rachel Berry on the Fox hit Glee, got annoyed at a photographer who didn’t know who she was at the Time 100 Gala. As far as diva moments go, it was a minor one, with Lea giving two fake names to the photographer, Sarah Palin and Taylor Swift. Lea then apologized a few days later via Twitter, well after the news had spread, writing that she “made a silly joke that didn’t go over, so sorry.” A lot of people don’t like Lea because she gives off a smug vibe, but I think she’s doing ok and handling her newfound fame relatively well. She had a slip up and got snotty, which happens to the best of us. If we hear that she has more diva moments then we’ll have to assume she’s like that all the time and wasn’t just having a bad day.

Anyway Glee creator Ryan Murphy spoke with People Magazine at an event and had nothing but praise for Lea’s attitude and professionalism. He said she’s always on time and friendly to co-workers. It strikes me that this guy tells it like it is, although he may be praising Lea partially because she’s one of the leads on the show and he can’t afford to lose her. Murphy also claimed that he told Lea that people would try and bring her down once her star was rising:

“[The rumors are] not accurate and not true at all,” Murphy told PEOPLE at the 69th Annual Peabody Awards in New York City on Monday, where the hit musical was honored for its achievement in diversity and content. “Lea is the sweetest, most professional girl. She’s incredibly kind and she’s always on time and she’s always with her cast hanging out. They’re all close.”

As for how to combat the reports — including stories about tension between Michele and her costars — Murphy says he’s offered her advice on how to ignore the gossip.

“I told Lea this would happen to her in July of last year. Just wait, people will start to write untruths,” says Murphy. “I told her, ‘Keep your chin up and it just happens. It’s happened to me and it’s happened to everyone. So don’t pay attention to it.’ But it’s definitely not true. Lea is great.”

[From People]

Maybe Lea is suffering because she’s only associated with one character and that character is a taskmaster with a type-A bitchy personality. It doesn’t help that she shows up at countless events looking like she’s gracing us with her presence, though. She should tone it down and work on cultivating a more approachable image.

The Glee four city concert tour is underway, and at $75 and up a ticket the show is being criticized for low production value and a bare bones set. Still, it consists of the younger stars performing hits from the show live, which is a real thrill for fans.

Tomorrow night’s episode of the show will feature a cameo by Neil Patrick Harris as a school board member trying to take down Glee director Will Schuester. Harris spoke to OK! Magazine about the show and said that he was surprised how hard they worked, explaining “I thought it would be much more hilarious on set, but everyone is so exhausted and overworked there.” I’m excited to see Harris on Glee! The show is picking up steam again after kind of faltering with too many big production numbers on the Madonna episode, in my opinion. They need to be careful to strike a balance between giving us the characters and plot twists we love and not going overboard with the musical numbers.

Glee cast to perform at White House

Glee Cast Celebrates Naya Rivera's Birthday At Jet Nightclub
The cast of Glee has been invited to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. First Lady Michelle Obama invited them and EW’s Ausiello reports that Michelle and her daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 8, are big fans.

Being the president’s wife apparently has its perks.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that First Lady Michelle Obama has invited the cast of Glee to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 5 — and, barring any last-minute glitches, they’re gonna do it!

Rumor has it Mrs. O and her daughters are big fans of the show. And since a White House gig is an offer that’s pretty darn hard to refuse, Glee’s producers did some lickety-split schedule rejiggering in order to honor the request.

All in all, not a bad stretch for the Glee club: Glee The Music Volume 1 just debuted at No. 1 on the UK album charts, ahead of the ubiquitous Lady Gaga!

What do you think, folks? Do you already have your trip to D.C. booked? Are you salivating at the prospect of a Puck/Michelle Obama photo op? Sound off below!

[From EW]

The Jonas Brothers must have been busy. The Glee cast has been tweeting about how excited they are to perform for the President, and E! Online has a recap if you’re interested. I’ve been seeing ads for the new season of Glee on Fox and it’s like a big tease because the show doesn’t come back until April 13. All the ads do is remind me that it’s tax season.

Meanwhile there’s speculation that Michelle Obama is “too sexy” for a first lady. I think she does casual and semi-dressy well with grace and a modern twist. Sometimes her fashion is a little too risky, but she doesn’t cross that line too often and I would call it more contemporary than sexy. Hollywood Life reports that Michelle wore a sleeveless black dress, vampy eyeshadow and her hair slung over her eyes at the Governor’s Ball. I think she looks fabulous! (Photo below)

Glee casting news: Jennifer Lopez as lunch lady & Neil Patrick Harris cameo

fp_4389134_haiti_bel_011810
We may have to wait until April to see what happens next on uplifting high school dramedy Glee, but at least there’s some casting news to tide us over. Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he’s writing a special role for Jennifer Lopez as a cafeteria lunch lady. There’s no confirmation from Lopez’s camp, but if it involves a hair net the idea is likely to be nixed:

Jennifer Lopez’s next role may be a lunch lady in the Golden Globe-honored Glee.

Show creator Ryan Murphy said backstage after Glee won for best comedy or musical TV series that he’s hoping the 40-year-old star will accept an offer to make a guest appearance.

“I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple weeks,” Murphy said Sunday night. “She wants to come on. We want her to be a cafeteria lady.”

Murphy says the interest in being on the show from A-listers like Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore is “amazing.”

He gave a sneak preview for when the series returns in April.

“We are shooting right now a Madonna episode, a tribute to Madonna,” Murphy says. “She may or may not be in the show. We are doing a great number with Jane Lynch and Olivia Newton-John. They are going to do ‘Physical.’”

[From TVWatch.People.com]

Oh I would love to see Jane Lynch and Olivia Newton-John do Physical! That sounds incredible. Lopez I could do without, though. I’m pretty much over her, and a lot of commenters on People’s website agree. To be fair to Lopez, she did help raise money for Haiti by appearing on Larry King’s two hour special last night. I love Glee and my mild dislike for Lopez won’t cause me to tune out. Maybe Lopez’s demands will derail a potential deal anyway.

Meanwhile EW reports that talented Broadway veteran and fan favorite Niel Patrick Harris is slated to make an appearance on Glee in May – in an episode to be directed by Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon. Now that’s casting I can get behind.

Glee took home the Golden Globe this year for best comedy and will be returning in April for 9 more episodes of the current season. The president of the Fox network announced last week that it has been renewed for a second season.

Steve Perry gives “Glee” cover of Journey song an ‘A’

A juggernaut of the 80s, Journey is making quite the resurgence this year. The band is on tour with a new lead singer and its classic song “Don’t Stop Believin’” is reaching a whole new fan base thanks to the Fox hit “Glee.” The cover of the song went Gold back in October and continues to be a top-seller on iTunes. But what does former Journey front man, the reclusive Steve Perry, think of all this?

“I would give it an A,” Perry tells PopEater exclusively. “I think they did a good job.” He then added, laughing along the way, that “A+ is reserved for the original. That’s a little shameless promotion, forgive me.”

When asked directly if ‘Glee’ “crapped on” the song, the singer answered honestly. “No. They did a really nice heartfelt high school interpretation of a song,” Perry tells PopEater.

Perry has maintained vigilance with projects using his former-group’s classic song, making sure they “don’t degrade the music” — even insisting on knowing how the ‘Sopranos’ producers were going to use the song to end that iconic series. “I didn’t want to see Tony Soprano get whacked during Just a Small Town Girl,” Perry tells us.

For ‘Glee,’ Perry was shown a rough cut of the wildly popular show’s finale before it aired and was blown away. “I thought it was edgy writing and I was impressed,” he says. “That was before we got to the song.”

He’s not alone in loving the revamped version, which hit gold certification for digital sales in excess of 500,000 downloads.

The new take on the tune didn’t exactly bring back high school memories for the rocker who didn’t do the glee-club. Not surprisingly, he rocked drums in an R&B band. “The jocks didn’t like us and the glee club didn’t like us,” Perry admits. “We were admired by the people who went to the after-game dances. They could dance to our music.”

The dancing continues. Perry even heard that whole new generations of “Believin’” fans were belting out the tune as ‘Glee’ producers accepted the gold plaque for the song. “There were people around the area singing during the ceremony,” Perry says. “Can I ask you one thing? What is possibly wrong with that?”

[From PopEater]

I have always wondered what happened to Perry. Journey was the first concert I ever saw, during the “Escape” tour. Steve left the band to pursue a solo career, had a few monster hits including “Oh Sherrie,” then disappeared. I do remember reading that he had some kind of degenerative hip disorder requiring major hip replacement surgery, that prevented him from performing live. According to his official web site, Perry is retired. It’s a shame, because that guy can sing his face off. Rolling Stone named him one of the “Top 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.”
