Janet Jackson Marries, Tops Scandal List With Nipple

csh-016567.jpg
Did Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri get married?

The 41-year-old is thought to have wed the music producer in front of friends and family on Saturday afternoon.

A source had earlier told MediaTakeOut.com: “Janet wants very much to keep the event private. So don’t expect anything over the top. It will be small – only have close friends and family – and definitely no one from the media will be invited.”

The couple have been dating since 2001 and Dupri, 34, worked with Jackson on two of her albums.

Digital Spy

Jermaine Dupri is denying he secretly married janet Jackson in a ceremony Saturday – which he would, wouldn’t he? It’s meant to be a secret.

But Dupri says, “When Janet and I get married, everybody will know. It’s not something I want to keep a secret. I’m going to promote it like a party.”

San Francisco Chronicle

Aw, that’s sweet.

Janet Jackson has married twice before in secret, to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo Jr, so I don’t believe a word of Dupri’s denials. Actually, one of Janet’s previous marriages was annulled, so she got married once and the second time, er, had a faux ceremony? Anyway, two secret wedding things.

Her breast exposure at the Superbowl also topped a list of celebrity scandals compiled by Entertainment Weekly.

JANET JACKSON’s infamous breast-baring wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl has topped a list of celebrity scandals. The singer was performing a duet with Justin Timberlake during half-time at the American football final when she accidentally flashed a breast. Second on the list, compiled by editors at American magazine Entertainment Weekly, is Mel Gibson’s anti-Semitic outburst during his July 2006 drink-driving arrest. At three is the 1992 U.S. TV appearance by Irish singer Sinead O’Connor, who infamously tore up a picture of the late Pope John Paul II during a performance on Saturday Night Live. The top five is rounded out by Hugh Grant’s 1995 arrest for engaging in “lewd conduct” with prostitute Divine Brown in Los Angeles, and Michael Jackson dangling his son Prince Michael II over a hotel balcony in Berlin, Germany in 2002.

Contact Music

You know what’s missing from the scandal list? Madonna. Wasn’t she scandal queen? Remember before she had children, and just got in hot water over their controversial fathering/adopting, she released two albums titled Erotica and Bedtime Stories (no sign of the three little pigs here, which is really about getting eaten by a wolf and not children’s fare at all…).

Anyway, she also released the Sex book, made a music video featuring S&M, masturbated on stage with an Puerto Ricon flag (much ruder than a nipple slip, I think) and fellated a vodka bottle on her Truth or Dare film.

Get in line Janet Jackson. Actually, somewhere ahead of you, wouldn’t there be you brother Michael’s child molestation charges? Much more controversial than a bit of nipple.

Jemima Khan is a Cracker

jemima.jpg

Wow, can you believe that Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan have broken up? I guess I can…their three year relationship in which Hugh was domesticated by Jemima and primped to be a doting husband ended amicably– even despite the fact that Hugh has a roving eye and was a total douche. Hell, if I was Jemima, I would have put blinders on that horse face.

When Barbara Walters noted that he’d been “domesticated” by Khan, whom she described as “pretty attractive and pretty intelligent,” Grant said, “I agree with you, I think she’s a cracker. She doesn’t need my help anyway.”

According to Treebeard’s Concise Dictionary of British Slang, it means, “splendid and wonderful.”

I’m glad that Jemima finally dumped this loser. She seems like a really nice lady (see, you don’t have to call people, cracker, Hugh). I mean, she’s a UN Ambassador for Unicef and donates to a cancer hospital– she even started her own brand of ketchup! What do you do, Hugh? Spread diseases.

Hugh Grant The Kissing Bandit

1240949.jpg The amusing evil that is the 3am Girls at The Daily Mirror add some catchy lyrics to the ho-hum music of Hugh Grant’s love life

HUGH Grant’s roving eye has sparked another public spat with Jemima Khan – their second in as many weeks. While Hugh schmoozed the ladies at the post-premiere party of his latest film, Music And Lyrics, on Monday night, his girlfriend of three years was left alone and stony-faced sitting in the corner.

Now stony faced is really one of the better looks on Jemima Khan, whose face is not really her best asset. She occupies that odd rarefied position of the resident hugely horse-faced British IT girl — of some years standing with no discernible talent, charm or accomplishment. Jemima does possess a posh background, money, and has one interesting marriage to a cricket star behind her: this somehow equals tabloid glamour in the UK.

The last few years she has been working as the monogamy placeholder for Hugh Grant … the sort of post-Hurley girly that he walks around while getting up to all sorts of mischief in his doddering confirmed bachelor way

At one point, 46-year-old Hugh was overheard saying: “I can’t kiss too many more women tonight as I’ve already had a row with Jemima!” Oops…

Not that surprising when you realize their last public row was when he took her out on a tour of his old Divine Brown haunts. Almost like he’s asking for trouble … or the Universe is delivering it free of charge … surely he should be permanently avoiding Sunset Boulevard

This isn’t the only time the couple have fallen out in public. Last month, Hugh yelled at Jemima after they were left stranded on LA’s Sunset Boulevard – the very spot where he picked up hooker Divine Brown – because their car didn’t turn up after lunch.

And just last week, guests at Jemima’s 33rd birthday party at The George in Mayfair were astounded to hear Hugh accuse her of being a “dictator” and a nag – after Jemima had made a joke about him being a commitment-phobe.

Given that he blew up on a talk show yesterday when the “When you gonna marry Jemima” Question was asked …doesnt seem like she was wrong … doesnt seem like she should hang around much longer. Why the long face Jemima … is it Hugh or were you just born that way.

Hugh Grant Loses his Cool on TV

hugh.jpg
The endless dithery charm of Hugh Grant came to an abrupt undithery end yesterday morning. He is doing the early rounds promoting his new RomCom flick with Drew Barrymore Music and Lyrics. The Sun reports:

The star was on the BBC1’s breakfast show when presenter Kate Silverton asked him whether he would be getting hitched to wealthy girlfriend Jemima Khan, 33.
But the Four Weddings And A Funeral hunk, 46, angrily replied: “I can’t believe you asked me that. This is supposed to be a classy show, surely? I’m ashamed of you.”
When the interview ended he walked off the set muttering.

Lets admit – before we go any further — that walking off muttering is a complete and exhaustive description of every screen performance Hugh Grant has ever given .

Now let’s examine the reasons for the loss of temper. Could it be:

a) That his new girlfriend, Jemima Khan, the worlds best known Muslim divorcee, looks very like an unsuccessful Babs Streisand imitator who’s slapped on too much makeup … even for the dim lighting at her weekly Sunday gig hosting Gay Bingo in Brixton .

b) His far more presentable ex-girlfriend Liz Hurley is inches away from tidying up her post-Hugh life by marrying a far wealthier new glamorously Indo-German boyfriend. Insult to Injury – the Hugh replacement does not too bad a job at Grantesque 1980s floppy hair … a fast disappearing skill since Flock of Seagulls disbanded.

c) His Drew Barrymore co-starrer sounds like a total re-tread of his character in About a Boy. The story of the son of a washed-up song writer who can’t do much else. As if the pitch was “Its like Hugh Grant’s last decent movie –excepot he’s his own dad … with Drew Barrymore thrown in to make him seem less old. – We’ll keep the floppy hair though – same reason.”

Mandy Moore in American Dreamz

Mandy Moore stars in “American Dreamz,” an American Idol parady that hits theatres on April 21st. Hugh Grant, who admittedly loved watching lots of reality TV in preparation for his role, plays the nasty Simon Cowell-based judge. Willem Dafoe stars as the chief of staff to the President (Dennis Quaid) who decides to guest judge on the reality show talent competition.

Despite some unflattering pictures of Moore that came out recently, she looked svelte and pretty at the March 26 press conference for the film in New York.

Wilmer Valderrama keeps talking about his relationships with famous starlets. He toned down the details for a NY Times interview, but still dished the dirt in his tell-all style:

That afternoon, Mr. Valderrama, dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt and smelling of the cologne Drakkar Noir, was quite willing to discuss the women he has dated over the years. Mandy Moore was “the first love of my life,” he said. “I was madly in love with her. She is one of the most wonderful women I’ve ever met; a real lady.” He and his Ms. (Lindsay) Lohan, meanwhile, “had a really passionate relationship,” he said. “There were so many factors that played into our breakup. We needed to do a lot of growing up on our own.”

Valderrama also emphasized how he wants to take his career to the next level and challenge himself as an actor. Obviously talking about anal sex on Howard Stern is not going to get him far.

Here are Moore, Grant, and Dafoe at the American Dreamz press conference.

Hugh Grant loves reality TV

Hugh Grant watched a ton of reality TV in preparation for his role playing a reality show judge in the film American Dreamz:

In the film Grant plays a reality show judge…just like [Simon] Cowell so has been poring over tapes of ‘American Idol’ and the ‘X Factor’.

He admitted to The Sun: “I’d never watched them before but studied a bunch of tapes – and I enjoy cruelty.

“I like people being humiliated, I like watching freaks. The freakier the better as far as I am concerned.

“I don’t think they far enough – I’d also quite like to see the losers being tortured.

His other quotes reveal that he’s not just joking around, and pays attention to the reality shows.

“I’m quite susceptible to reality television,” he confessed recently.

“I’m ashamed of that part of myself, as I’m sure we all are, but there are some good ones.”

“Wife Swap I particularly like. There was one where they took delinquent teenagers and put them through a 50s education, and another one where they put them through an army boot camp. Brilliant, really fascinating.”

Hugh Grant isn’t the only one who feels guilty but can’t look away. He sums up reality television well.

Here’s Grant with Drew Barrymore on the set of their film, “Music and Lyrics By.”

3 more after the jump.
