Hulk Hogan sues son’s lawyers for $1.5 million

90219m4_hogan_h_b_gr_06

Hulk Hogan will not be taken advantage of. Just because he made a career out of getting knocked around (and probably sustaining a couple head injuries along the way), don’t let that make you think he’s some dummy who can be cajoled out of millions of dollars for fancy lawyers defending his son for nearly killing a friend while drag racing. Because he can’t. Despite Hogan’s attorneys getting a very favorable result for Nick Hogan’s criminal charges (he was sentenced to 8 months and served five and a half), Hulk is seriously pissed at them. Why? Because they didn’t tell him that his then-insurance company was responsible for paying the attorneys’ fees, and kept on billing Hogan directly. Hulk also claims they withheld correspondence between the insurance company, which actually tried to do the right thing and see if he wanted them billed.

The harsh world of legalities must be all too familiar for Hulk Hogan, but this time the semi-retired pro-wrestler has decided to sue the professionals whose job it was to stand up for him. Hogan filed a lawsuit in the Pinellas County on Monday against two attorneys, Morris “Sandy” Weinberg Jr. and Lee Fugate, of the firm Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, with claims that the men (who defended him and son Nick Bollea following Nick’s 2007 car crash) for cheating him out of over $1.5 million.

According to the suit, Hulk’s automotive insurance company Progressive was obligated to cover all necessary legal costs, however the lawyers named allegedly failed to notify him of this and continued to bill at excessively high rates. Hulk also claimed that Progressive attempted numerous times to communicate with him over the incident, but the Zuckerman Spaeder legal team did not make him aware of their letters. By the time he understood his entitlements, he claims the relationship with the insurers had been “terminated.”

“It is common knowledge throughout the legal profession experienced in such matters, especially in the area of insurance defense litigation and personal injury law, that automobile insurance policies include the aforementioned duty to defend the insured, as well as any permissive user, should a civil suit arise or the possibility of a civil claim exist,” the lawsuit stated. “Defendants made no effort to advise of this important fact. Defendants were further aware, or should have been, that Bollea had no experience in the area of insurance.”

Consequently, Hogan alleges in the 44 page suit that he not only paid the big bucks for 17 months until he reached a point where he “couldn’t afford” the fees anymore, but he was billed unawares for time spent on the case by paralegals too. “The charges made by Terry Bollea are simply baseless. The Bollea’s came to Zuckerman Spaeder under very difficult circumstances. Both Terry Bollea and his son faced the threat of criminal prosecution and civil litigation. Zuckerman Spaeder, working with a co-counsel, achieved a very favorable result in the criminal case,” a rep from the firm told Tarts in a statement. “We absolutely dispute and will contest the claims made against us.”

Hogan is suing for unspecified damages and Progressive declined to comment on the incident.

[From Pop Tarts]

Uh, I hate to ever side with the Hogans, but it sure sounds like Hulk has a good case. I love that the lawyers didn’t bother to explain their side whatsoever. They just said, “Nope. Didn’t happen.” I mean they used some legalese, but they talked about things that had nothing to do with the lawsuit. Just because the Hogans “came to Zuckerman Spaeder under very difficult circumstances” – what does that have to do with incorrectly billing them? And getting them a “favorable result” again has nothing to do with billing. They don’t bother to defend or explain a thing; they’re just throwing out as many generic phrases as they can and hoping a few stick. And what in the world could possibly be the explanation for not telling Hulk that Progressive was trying to communicate with all of them over the bills?

Like I said, I never want to side with the Hogans on anything. But their lawyers didn’t respond to a single specific claim and just said they disputed all of it. Excellent defense. I didn’t realize you could still get a law degree from correspondence courses.

Brooke Hogan cancels performance due to anxiety attack

Brooke Hogan

Brooke Hogan supposedly pulled out of a concert in New York this past weekend after suffering an anxiety attack. Of course no reason for the attack was given, other than the general suckiness that is the Hogan’s. To complicate matters, dad Hulk was supposed to host the radio station event, which also featured Sean Kingston, LMFAO and Kristine Elezaj. But he dropped out to be with Brooke. Which probably is a good thing to do as a parent, but leaving a big concert without a host and not bothering to explain isn’t a fabulous situation either.

Brooke Hogan generally comes across as pretty calm and collected as she cruises around in her VH1 show “Brooke Knows Best”, but beneath the surface she seems to be suffering some serious medical problems.

The 21-year-old reality starlet/songstress was scheduled to perform alongside Sean Kingston, LMFAO & rising pop princess Kristine Elezaj at PARTY 105’s MEGA JAM Concert in New York this past Saturday. However Pop Tarts has exclusively learned that Hogan pulled out at the last minute after suffering anxiety attacks, along with some other medical ailments.

We’re also told that her famous father Hulk Hogan (who was scheduled to host the whole concert) then withdrew in order to be by his daughter’s side, forcing organizers to proceed without a hosting replacement.

“Brooke is incredibly sensitive,” a source close to the starlet said. “She really cares about everyone around her and takes on a lot.” A rep for Brooke did not respond for comment.

The beach-loving blonde recently took a shot at a second studio album entitled “Redemption” and with it exposed a number of very personal emotions.

“All of the drama with my family and me and my mom and the separation between us and all that crazy stuff, I actually wrote about that,” Hogan recently told Tarts. “I actually have a song called ‘Dear Mom’ and it’s about the trials and tribulations with my mom, the battles with the press – and I’m in love, so I wrote about that and just everything that I’ve been through.”

[From PopTarts]

So it seems like Pop Tarts is basically guessing that the cause of Brooke’s stress and anxiety is about her family issues, and not performance anxiety or something like that. They don’t give any specifics about the attacks or even vaguely hint at her other medical issues, but they have had several scoops about the Hogans that have proven accurate. I don’t think anyone’s all that impressed by Brooke singing or performance skills. It seems like she’s just trying to work the little bit of fame she’s got left. If there’s really so much stress in her life, why not back off a bit? I doubt she needs the money, and it’ll probably do her career more harm than good to book gigs she can’t actually do. And it’ll give the blogs a few less unsavory pictures to post. Here are a few!

Why did Hulk Hogan give Linda such an “outstanding” divorce settlement?

2006 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals
Hulk and Linda Hogan are finally divorced after what seems like forever. They both have put on a big show of moving on – he with a hybrid Linda/Brooke girlfriend and she was a creepy-as-hell 20-year-old friend of her son Nick. Linda got a huge settlement, though the amount hasn’t been released. But according to Pop Tarts, they former couple was worth somewhere between $26 million and $32 million, and she walked away with the bulk of it.

Why? Well Pop Tarts says Hulk still loves Linda, though we think his earlier “pulling an OJ” threats against her might have played into it as well.

After a long, very public proceeding, Hulk Hogan and former wife Linda Bollea finalized their divorce and reached an undisclosed settlement on Monday evening. While the terms were not made public, the couple’s net worth in 2008 was believed to be between $26 million and $32 million (as filed in court) and it sounds as though Mrs. Bollea walked away with quite the bulk of funds.

“Linda received an outstanding settlement result and I think both parties had compromised but Linda is extremely happy with the settlement,” her attorney Ray Rafool told Tarts. “It was bittersweet and it was also a relief and as Linda said, in every grey cloud there is a silver lining so I think for both of them, they were very relieved to be on the same page and they were very relieved that they would have this chapter of their life behind them.”

And it turns out that Hulk was the one who reached out to his wife of 25 years to make peace.

“Hulk is the one that originally came to Linda and said lets try to put this whole case aside and lets resolve this, essentially Hulk was the one that came to us with this peace offering which we gladly accepted,” Rafool added. “He said he still loves Linda and he’s happy that they’re forever getting this resolved. These people are business partners now and will be business partners in the future.”

While the divorced duo will still have a professional relationship, the semi-retired celebrity wrestler still wants some sort of personal relationship too.

“Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children,” a rep for Hogan told Tarts.

[From Pop Tarts]

I find it confusing for a man who claims to still love his ex-wife to also say he sympathizes with OJ Simpson. That comment really got Hulk in a ton of trouble, and it’s hard not to wonder if perhaps that played into his supposed generosity. Maybe due to guilt and remorse, or maybe Linda used it as leverage against him. I mean how many people agree to giving their ex-spouse the “bulk” of their estate randomly? Even if it’s to make peace… it’s still hard to buy.

Considering Hulk’s girlfriend looks like a combo of Linda and his daughter Brooke (creepy as hell, but whatever), it’s certainly possible he still carries a torch for her. Or maybe he just wants to look good in the public eye again and thinks this is all it takes. It’s obviously not going to get him what he wants, and I think it’s safe to say Hulk’s going to regret it in a month or two when that becomes clear.

Ron Goldman’s sister calls Hulk Hogan’s OJ comments ‘vile’ and ‘hurtful’

mtv trl celebs 070108
Yesterday we heard the news that Hulk Hogan made some tasteless and offensive comments to Rolling Stone in which he said he was so outraged by his wife taking up with a 19 year-old kid that he could “totally understand OJ.” He didn’t just leave it at that, explaining that he “could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat.” Those comments of course didn’t sit well with relatives of the victims of OJ’s horrific crime, for which he was acquitted, many claim wrongfully, in 1995. The sister of Ron Goldman, who was murdered along with OJ’s ex Nicole, has called Hulk’s comments “vile” and “hurtful” and reminds us that it’s never ok to talk about killing someone:

“It’s disturbing,” Kim Goldman tells Usmagazine.com. Simpson was acquitted of murdering his ex wife Nicole Brown and Ron in 1995. Two years later, a civil jury found Simpson guilty and ordered him to pay $33.5 million to the Goldman family….

Continues Kim to Us: “It’s sick to me that people throw around violence so whimsically. That has always bothered me. Then there’s the part of me that thinks, well at least he thinks he did it. The warped part of me.

“It’s vile to speak of anybody in that way and it’s hurtful, demeaning and so many layers of ugliness attached to it. I’m always very sensitive to people saying they would kill someone,” she goes on. “I don’t speak that way anymore, so when I hear it, it has such meaning attached to it. It says a lot and speaks to his level of violence and propensity for it. It’s sad.”

[From US Weekly]

Hogan’s representative tried to do damage control for his terrible comments, saying that Hulk “in no way condones the O.J. situation” and that “he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation.”

We get that part of it, but how is it ever justified to say that you understand murdering people because the woman you’re separated from has a new boyfriend? Hulk has had a girlfriend for a while too, his daughter’s best friend. Granted Hulk’s girlfriend is 30-something as opposed to a teenager, but he’s still being a hypocrite for getting so angry at his wife for doing the same thing.

Meanwhile Linda’s lawyer says that Hulk’s comments are of course an example of how violent he is and what a threat he poses to his client. Hulk was also called a “serial cheater” by Linda’s lawyer:

“Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future,” she snaps in a statement released to Usmagazine.com. “Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates.”

“We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers,” Gary Smith says in a statement. “Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously. Linda’s attorney Ray Rafool is weighting all options necessary to protect his client.”

[From OMG.Yahoo.com]

If anything happens to Linda at this point I guess we’ll know who is responsible. Maybe she’ll get a restraining order and a bodyguard. She’ll also probably get more settlement cash due to Hulk’s stupid remarks. The last we heard she was receiving $40,000 a month in alimony payments but still claimed to be broke. Those 19 year-old boy toys don’t come cheap.

Hulk Hogan “I totally understand O.J.” [killing his wife]

5849PCN_Billboard

I was just thinking to myself the other day, “It’s been a really long time since the Hogans did anything terrible for me to yell at them about.” Normally they only go a week or two, max. But aside from Nick being allowed to drive again (I hope you’re all wearing helmets, Floridians), the bleach-loving family has been pretty quiet lately.

Well, except for Hulk and Linda’s incredibly acrimonious divorce. Just in case you thought these two had toned it down a bit – or you bought into the idea that Linda’s the bigger douche – Hulk says that this whole legal process has made him empathize with O.J. Simpson. And he could have gone the same route.

HULK Hogan is sounding homicidal over the way his wife Linda dumped him, forced him out of his $18 million mansion, allegedly started spending his money at the rate of $40,000 a month and dating “some shaggy-haired pool boy 30 years her junior,” Rolling Stone reports. “I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat,” he told the magazine.

“You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand OJ. I get it.”

He and Linda are battling it out in a Florida divorce court, where Linda’s attorney claims she’s entitled to use the car and that Hogan’s claims against her are merely an attempt to control her love life.

[From Page Six]

Hulk has gotten slightly better press than Linda, mostly because she’s dating aforementioned 19-year-old, who’s a friend of Nick’s. Obviously neither of her children are fans of the match either. And as creepy as she is, Linda doesn’t talk to the press as much as Hulk does, so we’ve heard more of his side.

Now it’s clear his side is absolutely insane. I’m sure Linda will be getting a nice little order of protection now. What a dangerous, stupid thing for Hulk to say. We’ve all known anger and rage, but to say you “could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat,” is just beyond the pale. I doubt he had any public sympathy before, but Hulk just screwed himself out of whatever good will there was. He’s a big guy, too, and obviously strong. Acknowledging that he poses a massive threat to his soon-to-be ex-wife was incredibly foolish – and scary. Never do I want to hope for the best for the Hogans, but I hope Linda gets some security. And makes Hulk pay for it.

Hulk Hogan and divorce lawyer fight outside court

It’s been a while since we’ve had the opportunity to make fun of the Hogan family. Well, that’s not totally correct; they’re so tacky, selfish, and ridiculous that we can make fun of them any old day just for that. But they haven’t done anything super newsworthy lately – until yesterday. Hulk Hogan decided to get into it with his soon-to-be-ex-wife Linda’s divorce attorney. Outside of the courtroom. On camera.

Luckily it didn’t come to fisticuffs or anything, but there was a heated verbal altercation. And though Hulk definitely started it, I think Linda’s lawyer actually came off much worse.

An attorney for Hulk Hogan’s wife got into a verbal sparring match with the former professional wrestler outside a courtroom and asked if Hogan was going to wrestle him. The spat started when lawyer Ray Rafool was answering questions about the divorce case for television cameras. He spoke after a hearing Thursday in which a judge granted the release of $225,000 in frozen assets for Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea.

While Rafool spoke to the media, the towering Hogan tried to interject a comment from behind a row of cameras and reporters. “Are you gonna to wrestle with me here?” Rafool said loudly. “Are you gonna come across the cameras? Then be quiet.”

“It’s a free world,” Hogan replied. “No, it’s not a free world,” Rafool said. “It’s called professionalism.” The attorney, who had recently accepted an autograph from Hogan for his son, then delivered a stinging blow to any World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler: “You’re an actor. You’re acting now.” “I hope your son enjoys the autograph,” Hogan said. “Thank you Hulkamaniac brother.”

Hogan’s attorney joined in and continued arguing with Rafool. The former wrestler, who was on crutches because of recent back surgery, left a few minutes later. “I guess I get the feeling of what it’s like to be on the WWE now,” he said.

Rafool had cooled off when The Associated Press reached him by phone Friday. “It got much more heated than I would have preferred,” Rafool said. “Some of it was a little tongue-in-cheek about the wrestling. He was smiling and laughing. I was, too.” David Houston, Hogan’s attorney, said his client spoke up because, “He felt that every dime they have was being dissipated by virtue of the divorce proceeding.”

[From the AP via the Huffington Post]

Tongue-in-cheek implies that there’s a bit of joking, which is definitely how Rafool is trying to play it off to the AP. But when you watch the video it’s clear that wasn’t what was happening. He was smiling, but in a jerky, smirking way. It wasn’t a friendly smile. I don’t wish either of the Hogans a moment of happiness in their lives, so it’s hard to root for anyone in this little debacle. But it does sound like they both have hotheaded, unprofessional lawyers, which will definitely work to their disadvantage in the end. And that makes me happy enough.

Linda Hogan’s boyfriend wants restraining order against Hulk Hogan

Linda Hogan’s cougar bait boyfriend has filed for a restraining order from big scary Hulk Hogan. I meant that to sound all mocking and mean, but Hulk Hogan is big and sorta scary in the right light. Nonetheless, 20-year-old Charley Hill claims that he’s afraid of Hulk, who’s been following him around and threatening him.

The courts have denied a request made by Linda Hogan’s boyfriend, who was seeking a restraining order against Linda’s estranged husband, Hulk Hogan, Access Hollywood has learned.

In court papers obtained by Access, Charley Hill, 20, claims Hulk (whose real name is Terry Bollea) has been following and threatening him.

However, the court denied Hill’s request.

Following the court’s ruling, David Houston, an attorney for Hulk, released the following statement to Access:

“This is just another blatant attempt by Linda Hogan to try to defame Hulk Hogan’s character. We commend the judge on seeing through this ridiculous stunt and denying these baseless claims.”

[From Yahoo!]

Rarely do I do this, but I have to defend Hulk here. Have you seen Charley Hill? He looks just like Linda, or at least some hybrid mush of all the Hogans. Hulk probably thinks Charley is Brooke or something. If so, he’s also probably thinking that Brooke’s a lot better looking – and less masculine – than he remembered. Without glasses, Charley could definitely be confused for Linda in heels. Maybe even a Nick/Brooke hybrid. I really don’t think Hulk is intentionally stalking this kid, I think he’s just not paying close enough attention.

Linda Hogan claims she’s broke despite $40,000 monthly alimony Payments

Sometimes I see beautiful, classy, elegant women on the streets of Manhattan and I think, “Wow, she’s gorgeous. It must take a ton of money to keep up that look.” From the hair to the Botox to the jewelry and the clothes, it’s expensive to maintain a lot of people’s lifestyles. And it makes sense that the classier the woman, the more pricier the upkeep. Which is why even with monthly spousal support of $40,000, Linda Hogan is completely broke. Look at that face! Look at that outfit! Do you think it’s cheap being Linda? It’s costly, amassing an entire wardrobe of animal print tops that complement her orange skin. Frankly I’m surprised she’s lasted this long.

Hulk Hogan’s wife, Linda Bollea, has run out of money — despite receiving $40,000 a month in temporary alimony payments.

During a court hearing on Thursday, Bollea’s attorney asked the judge to set another hearing to discuss unfreezing some of the divorcing couple’s assets for her own use. Hogan’s attorney, however, wanted to see proof that the wrestler’s wife was indeed broke.

“They have to tell me why she’s out of money. They have to show me in bank statements,” Ann Loughridge Kerr, the lawyer for Hulk Hogan — whose legal name is Terry Bollea — told the Tampa Bay Tribune.

Back in August, Hogan — in addition to the monthly alimony payments — agreed to pay some monthly costs, including repair and maintenance to their home. Bollea’s legal team claims that Hogan refuses to pay for cable, pest control, window washing and their security system. The judge told Hogan’s attorneys to pay for those costs, excluding the security system payments. According to the Tribune, that was not Hogan’s responsibility.

The Hogans starred on VH1′s Hogan Knows Best, and Bollea filed for divorce from her husband after 24 years of marriage in November.

[From Us Weekly]

Sometimes at night when the insomnia hits and I can’t sleep, I lay there asking myself, “Who’s the ugliest Hogan?” I could go all night torturing my brain synapses with reasons why teenage Nick’s deep 60-year-old man forehead creases trump Hulk’s nasal labial fold lines. But then you throw Linda and Brooke in there and the arguments could go on forever. It really is one of the great questions for the ages.

If I were the judge I’d rule that Hulk has to pay for all of Linda’s physical upkeep, bare minimum. Yeah she looks like shit, but I wouldn’t want to see what would happen if she didn’t maintain whatever she’s got going on. I imagine it would probably look like one of those figural candles melting. No one needs to see that crap. Hulk should probably pay for some of the other essentials too, but I’d let him off on the pest control. I would love to see which Florida creatures are attracted to Restylane, and what a preying mantis would look like after it gnaws on Linda’s.

Hulk Hogan takes son Nick to Las Vegas to celebrate his release from jail

It’s not uncommon to have a small celebration when someone returns home from jail. It’s not a situation most celebs often find themselves in very often, but it happens. A tiny gathering with maybe a black and white striped sheet cake would not be totally inappropriate. But why settle for something so mundane when you’re a Hogan and you can take your kid – who left his best friend in a vegetative state after drinking and drag racing – to a car show in Las Vegas?

Nick Hogan recently spent 166 days behind bars after pleading no contest to charges of reckless driving in an accident that left his close friend, John Graziano, critically injured. But clearly young Hogan is making up for lost time. Pop Tarts spies spotted the reality TV stars [including Nick’s dad Hulk Hogan] checking into Sin City’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (they’re booked until Friday) and are poised to make an appearance at SEMA, an automotive trade show.

But according to an insider, the “Hogan Knows Best” father has gone to extra lengths to make sure his son stays out of trouble by having staff book Nick a standard room right beside his VIP executive suite. There is even a mysterious man (believed to be a parole officer) lurking around them at all times.

“Hulk made a big point of saying that this was a relaxing getaway and that Nick will be taking it easy and won’t be partying,” said our source. (Well, we certainly hope by now that Nick has learned the lesson that being underage and alcohol isn’t a good combination.)

But Nick isn’t allowing his post-pokey profile to shield him away from the limelight as he reportedly pranced around the hotel happily posing for pictures, signing autographs for fans and flirting with the hot young ladies that came his way.

[From Fox News’ Pop Tarts]

In addition to the atrocity of taking his drag racing, fast car obsessed son on a nice little post prison vacation, Hulk was also stupid enough to repeat what he said on Larry King Live, noting, “There are no accidents, God has a plan that unfolds just as he wants it,” when asked about John Graziano. What a lovely way to reassure yourself that your son isn’t an asshole and you’re not a terrible person.

The thought of Nick Hogan having a good time anywhere but a prison shower is horrifying. Clearly his parents will just continue to coddle him and remain as stupid as ever.

Hogan family getting an E! True Hollywood Story

A year ago most of us wouldn’t have cared enough about the Hogan family to watch five minutes of television about them. Now they’re getting their own hour-long E! True Hollywood Story episode. Both Hulk and Brooke were interviewed for the episode, along with several of the family’s friends. Hulk’s soon-to-be ex-wife Linda declined to be interviewed and son Nick was in jail at the time. I’m guessing a prison interview either wasn’t possible or wasn’t deemed to be good PR.

There’s a lot of talk about how hard this last year has been on the family, and most – including the family friends – seem to have come to the consensus that the main problem was their reality show Hogan Knows Best. Which is funny because I always thought that the main problem was the Hogans. Here are a few snippets E! released in advance of the show.

Hulk Hogan on his feelings over the divorce: “It was shocking. … I didn’t know if I was going to vomit or pass out or cry, and I kind of took a few moments, and it was like I got kicked by a mule. … I was one of these hopeless romantics that thought no matter what happened, I thought I would be the one who was married forever.”

Brooke Hogan, leading up to Hulk’s “Larry King Live” interview: “It was to the point where we were getting so just slaughtered with this press of just false rumors and false stories, it was just like the truth has to come out.”

Brooke Hogan, on her dad being alone: “There’s been times where he’s been alone that have scared the living daylights out of me and I’m like, ‘Dad, I’ll be right there.’ He’s very emotional, and he starts over thinking things, and he starts getting really sad.”

Brooke Hogan, on her father’s current girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel: “I really do like Jennifer a lot. It would probably kill my mom to hear this. I’m glad that she’s around because, you know, I’m trying to do my own thing and work, and it’s like I can’t be there 24/7 so it’s nice to know that there’s somebody that I trust with, you know, taking care of him as much as I would.”

Hulk Hogan, on Nick’s sentencing for reckless driving: “When the judge said you’re gonna get 8 months in jail, Nick didn’t turn around and look at me for advice, guidance or anything. He just took it like a man. I never got to say goodbye to him, you know.”

Brooke Hogan, on how the incident affected her brother: “Nick, for being in his situation, for being in the public eye, it was a good lesson. He definitely he got a wake up call.”

Brooke Hogan, on the effect of her brother Nick’s car accident on her parents’ relationship: “The accident, I think really showed them that they just don’t view things the same as individuals and as parents, you know, so, it was just kind of like a wakeup call. I just think that all the stress of our life kind of made it happen sooner.”

[From TampaBay.com]

If Hulk really wants to improve the family’s media image, he’s got to stop saying anything complimentary about Nick. Things like talking about how he took his sentence as a man just make people want to slap him. No one respects him more for that, he just didn’t get criticized for NOT taking it like a man. There’s nothing special about it.

I don’t think it’ll be possible for this family to ever rehab their image. Not just because what Nick did was so revolting, but because the family has never publicly apologized for raising the little douchebag to think that racing cars is more important than other people’s lives. They’ll never get an ounce of sympathy because they’re constantly trying to justify their abhorrent behavior. It seems like Hulk and Brooke have occasionally learned how to temper their comments, but they’re still the two biggest media chatterers, so it’d serve them best to just shut their mouths altogether.

The show will air on E! November 7th.
