Life & Style has a whole cover story this week that seems potentially sensational and reads “Brad scrambles to get a pregnant Angelina emergency medical care - Angelina’s Rushed To The Doctor” which implies that she’s had some difficulty with her pregnancy. The story inside is predictably less interesting and just claims that she twisted her ankle badly and sincethere was some swelling the family decided to travel from Texas to LA so she could get care from her personal doctors. They probably did it for confidentiality purposes too:

When Angelina - who’s more than six months pregnant with twins - injured her ankle recently, she decided to fly home to LA to have it checked out by her own physician.

“At first she thought it was just a twisted ankle…” says an insider. “But everyone was worried because of the pregnancy and previous problems she’s had with leg swelling. Angelina didn’t want to take an chances, and everyone agreed. Brad was really worried.”

The article claims that “Angie’s legs swelled, and she was getting really wobbly and starting to feel sick” on the private plane ride from Austin to LA on April 17. Life & Style alleges that her pain was so bad that they almost decided to make an emergency landing, but I doubt this part is true. It’s probably based on the story that she supposedly fainted in February on the plane ride from Iraq to LA.

Angelina’s doctor met the flight at the Burbank airport and she “looked like she was hobbling when she was helped at the jet.” They were driven to their mansion in Los Feliz, and it is said that “a team of nurses was also waiting” from Cedars-Sinai hospital to treat Angelina.

Everything checked out fine for Angelina and she was seen out at dinner about a week later. Life and Style quotes a doctor warning about the dangers of deep vein thrombosis, which Angelina has not been diagnosed with, for women who are pregnant and at risk on flights.

Angelina is said to be having a hard time with her pregnancy and to be tired all the time. Brad and Angelina have a full time nurse to help.

The Brangelina Family is now in France
Brad, Angelina and their four kids, two nannies and three security guards are now in France at the estate of Microsoft’s Paul Allen on the French Riveria. E Online reports that they stayed there before for a week in 2006 and that the villa has 12 staff and views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is thought that Angelina plans to give birth in France and that Brad is looking for a home there, although an earlier story that they bought a villa in the country turned out to be false.

One of the remaining six celebrity dancers on Dancing with The Stars was injured during the show last night. Chilean soap star Cristián de la Fuente was doing a samba with his partner Cheryl Burke, their second dance of the show, when he moved off to the side, clutching his left forearm. He kind of fell over on top of Burke when was supposed to catch her at the end of the dance. He was lifting his arms and flexing his gorgeous biceps so much it’s not surprising he hurt himself. He said “I pulled a muscle” before they went to commercial.

The two were judged for their performance up until de la Feunte got hurt, and they received a 21, which was the lowest score that night, according to TMZ.

Here’s the video, de la Feunte gets injured about 1:15. It’s weird because he’s holding his right arm very stiffly and trying to flex it and all of a sudden he grabs his left forearm like it’s hurt.

OK! Magazine reports that he was diagnosed with “severe muscle cramp” and given ice for his arm and that he went to the hospital afterwards to get it checked out. There is no news yet as to whether he will continue on DWTS.

In a funny moment on the show, Shannon Elizabeth revealed that she was using a prosthetic butt to add padding to her costume and seemed to suggest her boobs were fake too:

According to Adnan Ghalib’s photo agency, JFX, Britney’s probably ex boyfriend was stabbed in the arm and got a black eye and cuts on his face on Saturday night. The guy is a paparazzo who cheated on Britney and used to work the door at a strip club. He’s not the most innocent character and he probably has all sorts of enemies among the thugs who stalk celebrities, but on his company’s blog they mention negative online comments as somehow inciting violence against him.

It’s not clear to me whether they’re talking about mean commenters, other blogs or both, but they say that the online hatred spilled out into the real world. If he has been receiving death threats online that’s serious, but the way they phrase this also makes it sound as if anyone who ever wrote an unfavorable line against the guy is also to blame.

Adnan was attacked and stabbed last night but he is doing OK after receiving medical attention for his wounds. He received a stab wound to his arm, facial lacerations as well as a nice shiner. I’m not sure what to make of this considering that he’s received more and more death threats in recent weeks. Is it coincidence? I don’t know. But in the ever growing Adnan hating world that some blogs live in, the repeated venom spewed at him could have finally boiled over to the real world. We all know there are some crazies out there, I mean, I screen out at least a dozen death threats on our comments every week.

Adnan took a ride down Robertson Boulevard with comedian Kathy Griffin on Friday and stopped to go shopping at Victoria’s Secret with her. It was filmed as part of Griffin’s Bravo reality show, “My Life On The D-List.”

OK! Magazine covers this, and their only source is the report on JFX’s site. They note that there is no hospital or doctor named where Adnan was supposedly treated and say that “the Adnan and Britney duo were notorious for attempting to fake-out the media.” Given the fact that Adnan’s agency was so quick to point fingers at people talking crap online, you do wonder how accurate this story is.

If this did happen, maybe someone is annoyed that he’s elevated himself beyond the mire of the swarming paparazzi or if he could have made enemies another way, like by sleeping with someone’s girlfriend. Get well soon Adnan.

Top 9 “American Idol” contestant David Cook was rushed to the hospital with heart palpitations and dangerously high blood pressure after his performance on the show yesterday.

Cook has been lauded by judges for his risk-taking and strong performances, and performed his own arrangement of Dolly Parton’s “Little Sparrow” last night. Dolly Parton praised his voice and talent during rehearsals.

Cook really nailed the performance and looked at ease on stage. All the judges praised him, with Simon tempering it a little by saying it wasn’t as good as his last performance. Cook was taken to the hospital shortly after the show. He has high blood pressure and the stress sent it skyrocketing. Cook was treated by a private physician, given blood pressure medication and released.

Cook’s brother has cancer and suffered a medical setback recently, and that is said to have contributed to his high level of stress. Hopefully he’s ok now and will be able to find ways to keep his blood pressure down.

Meanwhile dancer Derek Hough, Shannon Elizabeth’s professional partner on “Dancing With The Stars” wrenched his neck during rehearsals yesterday and was taken to the hospital. He recovered, and was back to work.

It’s not an easy job having to preform new material in front of millions of people every week.

The family of permanently disabled John Graziano, the now comatose passenger in Nick Bollea’s car accident last year, has finally filed suit against Nick and his parents. The civil suit names Nick, Linda and Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) as co-defendants, as well as the man who was street racing against Nick in the minutes leading up to the wreck that left Graziano, 22, in a permanent vegetative state.

Clearwater, Florida - The attorney for John Graziano’s family announced details of a 6-count complaint civil lawsuit filed in Pinellas County on Monday.

The lawsuit cites three counts of negligence against Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan and Nick’s father), one against Linda Bollea (Nick’s mother), one against Nick Bollea, and a final count against Daniel Jacobs, the driver of the Dodge Viper that Nick was racing.

The Graziano family is claiming in the lawsuit that Terry and Linda Bollea should have known that their son was a reckless driver, and were also aware that their son was drinking on the day of the crash.

Hogan’s son, Nick Bollea, was allegedly speeding when Clearwater police say he lost control of his car and crashed last summer. Graziano was a passenger in the car and suffered serious head wounds. Graziano’s family says he will require medical care for the rest of his life.

Bollea faces a felony charge of reckless driving with serious bodily injury.

If you recall, Nick and his parents went on the offensive in the weeks after the horrific crash, deflecting blame instead of owning up to their roles in this young man’s injury, stating that if John had been wearing a seat belt he would have been fine, even though the photos of the car after the crash suggest otherwise. It looks like John’s family will finally get their day in court after all. This will be one in a long line of court appearances for Nick, who was arrested in the days after the crash on three charges, including third degree felony reckless driving.

Gabrielle Carteris, 46, played the older-looking out-of-place Andrea Zuckerman on the early years of 90s teen soap drama “90210.” She served as a kind of overachieving mother-type to the other characters, who were always hooking up and getting into trouble. Andrea eventually got pregnant and married and didn’t appear much in the later years of “90210,” which was on for an inexplicable 10 freaking years on Fox, from 1990-2000.

Carteris has been married to a stock broker since 2002, and has two daughters. After 90210 ended she had her own talk shown that lasted one season, and has done sporadic work in guest roles for television. She appeared on VH1’s The Surreal Life in 2003. She recently told Entertainment Tonight about the lasting injuries she suffered while working on some bush league TV movie in 2006. They had her doing her own stunts, which involved falling down the stairs and getting dragged by her neck.

It sounds like she suffered some kind of spinal cord injury, because she said she was having spasms, lost the ability to speak, and couldn’t feel her hands afterwards. It’s been hard for her to recover from that injury, and she has chronic pain. She copes with with medication, physical therapy, and acupuncture.

Carteris tells ET about the life-changing injury that occurred in 2006 while she was shooting a scene for a TV movie, “We were filming an attack scene. I remember being pulled up by my chin over and over again.” The 5′1″ Carteris was working with a 6′6″ tall actor in a scene which was “not properly rehearsed” and included 4-5 hours of being dragged down a set of stairs.

According to Carteris, the symptoms began almost immediately, “I was jerking around, I lost my speech and was having spasms. My face was doing wild things and I couldn’t feel my hands and was having headaches.” She says she took two days off and when she returned, “was crying and in so much pain.” Eventually, Carteris did not return to the set and her role was reshot with another actress.

Recovery has been long and difficult for Carteris, “Sometimes I look in the mirror and cry. Sometime I look and laugh.” Carteris says for an entire year she did not attend any public events. Today her condition is managed with acupuncture, physical therapy and Klonopin three times a day.

Carteris says she is coming forward to set an example for her daughters and to send a message to others that it is ok to speak out, “I refuse to be the victim. At one point I thought this would be for life. My life changed in a moment.”

What I want to know is why she didn’t sue the pants off the production company responsible for that TV movie she was working on. IMDB doesn’t have her listed as working on any TV films in 2006, and that’s probably because she had to drop out after this horrible incident. She may have signed some sort of waiver that makes it impossible for her to sue.

This makes me so mad and I hope she is doing ok now. She appeared at the 90210 first season DVD launch in early November, 2006, so either this happened afterwards or she pulled herself together and went out for the sake of her old co-stars. How this could happen to an actress working on a scene is beyond me. No one should have to live like that due to a preventable injury.

I just can’t decide if Amy Winehouse’s life is getting much better, much worse, or staying about the same. And I feel that it’s really important for me to come to some sort of conclusion, so Amy can stop calling me every five minutes, anxiously awaiting my opinions about her life. The girl lives and dies by my thoughts, I swear. It’s a lot of responsibility to have on my shoulders, but I deal. I deal. Amy was seen out and about on the town last night with a very handsome, clean-cut, normal seeming young man, singer Tyler James. Who I first misread as my all time musical hero James Taylor, but luckily that’s not who she’s hanging out with.

Amy Winehouse stepped out with a clean-cut young man in London last night, raising hopes that she might yet dump her ‘Blake incarcerated’ and in turn increase the chances of kicking her drug habit. Amy was seen leaving her Camden home last night with clean-cut singer Tyler James to meet up with her celebrity pals at St Martin’s Lane hotel nightclub Bungalow 8. However, despite his presence the singer appears to be making a return to the increasingly chaotic lifestyle she led before checking into rehab for just two weeks.

It adds worrying credence to reports that she has lapsed back into her previous drug-fuelled lifestyle. After leaving the club, Amy and her pals drove back to her north London home and stopped off at the newsagents at after 4am for her usual supply of sweets and munchies.

The Mail goes on to make my decision for me, letting us know that Amy has pretty much fallen off the wagon, and will likely be ordered back into rehab by her record company. Which is probably a pretty good plan, since this time didn’t seem to take. I realize she’s got to want to do it, but I really don’t see that happening. I think the best anyone can hope for is minimizing the amount of drugs she’s on at any given moment. The Mail also cites a doctor who says Amy’s much talked about skin lesion/weird thing doesn’t look like impetigo as her agent claims, but appears to be a bruise. The doctor points out that could be an intentional or accidental injury, and that it’s certainly possible Amy fell in some sort of drug-induced… dizziness. Yesterday the internet was flying with the rumor that Amy had actually put a cigarette out on her cheek, which resulted in the bruise. Everything is just speculation, yet very little seems out of the realm of possibility. Still, if absolutely nothing else, the more time Amy spends with men that are not her husband, the better. That can only be a step up. Well, with the exception of Pete Doherty.

That’s one of those headlines I wish I were creative enough to have made up all on my own, just to make you all laugh. But each word in that delicious title is entirely true. You may remember that the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards suffered from a bit of an injury after he fell from a coconut tree in Fiji last year. What was Keith Richards doing up a coconut tree? That’s the stupidest question I’ve ever heard. What would Keith Richards not be doing up a coconut tree? Now that makes more sense. As a result of the fall, he had to have brain surgery. Yeah it must have been a pretty severe fall to necessitate opening up his cranium. I’m guessing that the doctors had gotten confused and assumed the coconut had somehow slammed into Richard’s head so hard that it knocked his brain clear out of his body and the coconut now resided where his brain was supposed to be. Yeah that sounds far-fetched, but this is also the guy who - since this accident – has claimed that he snorted his own father’s ashes. So I’m thinking having a coconut for a brain could make a lot of sense, medically.

Well since the accident, Richards has had to take Dilantin to prevent seizures, causing many to be concerned for his health.

Keith Richards sparked fears for his health after slurring his way through an acceptance speech. The Rolling Stones rocker - who picked up the prize for Best Cameo at Spike TV’s Scream 2007 awards for his performance in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’ - rocked back and forth as he mumbled his thanks to fans and co-star Johnny Depp in a pre-recorded video message. Keith, 63, said: “Thank you all fans voting for me in, you know. It’s a first - it’s not my land, usually, to do this sort of stuff, but due to enormous public pressure. I’ve got to say thank you very, very, much and also to Johnny - who insisted that I play his father.” He added: “We had a great time and it was a wonderful thing. Driving into the Disney studios, I laughed. God, at last I’m working for Mickey Mouse.”

It has now emerged Keith’s slurred speech - which had the audience at the glitzy Los Angeles ceremony on Friday (19.10.07) in hysterics - could be a side effect of the medication he takes daily to prevent seizures. The guitarist has taken the powerful drug Dilantin - which slows down nerve impulses in the brain - every day since undergoing brain surgery after he fell out of a coconut tree in Fiji 18 months ago. Keith - a former heroin addict - has previously joked taking Dilantin means he has to limit his intake of illegal substances. He said: “The drug I’m on now because of the brain job, Dilantin, means you can’t take cocaine any more, which is fine with me.”

I have to say, he still sounds the same to me. Isn’t Keith Richards known for being an incoherent mess? Now he just has a reason that makes you feel sorry for him instead of judging him. I am pretty sure that the Dilantin isn’t the problem – I think there’s a 99% likelihood that the aforementioned coconut is still living in his brain. Or it ate his brain. One or the other.

Boy do I love me some Q-list celebrities. And who’s more Q-List than Danny Bonaduce? Maybe a random Playboy Playmate, but that’s it. Bonaduce, who was on “The Partridge Family” back in the day and “Breaking Bonaduce” more recently, lost his temper for the 283,485,382,384,381,593 time at the most prestigious of awards show, the Fox “Really Awards” and flipped out on ex-Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay. Yeah, who? I don’t know. Some dude with curly hair. Fairplay jumped on Bonaduce, basically shoving his crotch in his face (quite acrobatic, if nothing else) which seemed to piss Bonaduce off. Welcome to every woman’s Saturday night, dude.

“Danny Bonaduce is being investigated for battery for tossing ex-Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay over his shoulder during an award show Tuesday. Fairplay, 33, filed a police report Wednesday claiming that his teeth were knocked out during the incident at the FOX Reality Really Channel awards held at the Hollywood club Boulevard3, the Associated Press reports.”

“Police received the battery report around 2 a.m. at a Hollywood hospital where Fairplay was being treated, Officer April Harding told the AP. ‘He had one tooth broken, another tooth missing from his gum line and two other teeth that were loose,’ she said.

“During the awards show, Fairplay was being jeered onstage when Bonaduce, 48, came onto the stage and said into the microphone, ‘They’re booing because they hate you’” (Fairplay, a wrestler who came in third on the 2003’s Survivor: Pearl Islands, was criticized by many viewers for having lied about the death of lie his grandmother in order to win sympathy from other competitors.)”

“According to police, Fairplay said he then tried to hug Bonaduce. In a video clip of the incident, Fairplay is seen jumping into Bonaduce’s arms. In reaction, Bonaduce tossed Fairplay up and over his head and onto the floor. Fairplay then got up and ran offstage while holding his hand over his mouth.”

Bonaduce’s defense? Fairplay was throttling him, and he had to throw him off to stop him. It’s hard to see from the video, there’s a lot of touching of parts that usually don’t touch, and it seems to happen pretty quickly. Bonaduce did mention, “I’m sorry he got hurt.” Alright, and I’m sure you mean it. Supposedly Fairplay had to go through 2 ½ hours of dental surgery after the attack. I don’t think that’s anything shocking in and of itself, that’s what it takes for a root canal. But I’m sure he had some significant mouth injuries, and no matter what he’s probably in a lot of pain. “It knocked one tooth out and then it moved three others. One tooth is, like, shattered eight times.” Well I’d say if nothing else, it’s a good moral lesson for the rest of us: no matter what he does, don’t jump on Danny Bonaduce. Good to know.

Update by Jaybird: The District Attorney has decided not to charge Bonaduce with any crime, noting “It did not appear that the suspect intentionally tried to cause injuries, but simply reacted to the victim’s actions.”

George Clooney, 46, and his new girlfriend Sarah Larson, a 28 year-old cocktail waitress and former Fear Factor winner that he met in Vegas, were in an accident on Friday when a car hit the motorcycle they were on. Clooney had a small fracture on one of his ribs and road rash while his girlfriend’s foot was broken. She also had some cuts on her face.

Clooney and his girlfriend were in Weehawken, NJ for some reason, and a car in the left lane is said to have tried to make a right turn and to have cut them off, causing the accident.
While Clooney says the other driver, a 27 year-old guy in a 1999 Mazda Millenia, sped up and tried to pass him before making a right turn, the other guy says that Clooney was trying to pass cars in the right lane and that’s what caused the accident.

Clooney’s girlfriend was taken to the hospital by ambulance while he followed on his bike. Both were treated in North Bergen, NJ at Palisades Medical Center.

People Magazine reports that Clooney is in NY filming a new movie, Burn After Reading. It is not known exactly what they were doing in Jersey.

Now that Clooney and his girl had a near-death encounter, maybe he’ll change his ways and actually commit to her longer than his three month cut off period. It’s possible he realizes that time is short and that he’s getting old.

I’m glad that they’re both ok and that they didn’t suffer more serious injuries. Motorcycles are a lot of fun and there’s a definite feeling of freedom that you get while riding, but they’re also incredibly dangerous and need to be handled with care.
