Somehow, I knew this story was coming sooner or later, and I bet Jennifer Lawrence knew it too since she already admitted to getting a heads up when the tabloids set her up with Bradley Cooper. I don’t really believe this story in the slightest, so let’s dispense with formalities and head into setup mode.

Jennifer and Liam Hemsworth have both been in Cannes for the past several days to promote Catching Fire and attend the endless stream of parties. Jennifer’s also representing Dior while Liam looks like a million bucks in Dolce & Gabbana. Jennifer is currently unattached (and not back together with Nicholas Hoult) and Liam presumably has at least one foot out the door of his relationship with Miley Cyrus. So of course, In Touch has published a new story that boasts, “finally free from their long-term relationships, the sexy costars give full-on PDA in Cannes.” LOL:

It’s on for Hunger Games costars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth! The long rumored couple were finally caught canoodling in public while in Cannes, France — in the VIP section of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire party at Baoli on May 18. “Liam and Jennifer were flirting all night long,” an eyewitness tells Star. “They were giggling and couldn’t stop touching each other! Jennifer kept putting her hand on his knee while Liam leaned in, whispering in her ear. The electricity between them was off the charts!”

Pals say that Liam, 23, has always been into Jennifer, 22, but never acted on his feelings because he was with Miley Cyrus since 2009. Jennifer was also tied down by actor Nicholas Hoult, but she ended their two-year relationship in January. Now that they’re both single, they’ve been getting close — and the sparks are flying!

Liam thinks very highly of Jennifer as a well-respected, serious actress, which he finds very attractive. “She’s secure with herself — which is a change from Miley, who always needed attention,” says an insider. “Jennifer is really his ideal woman, while Miley has turned into a trainwreck and her hard partying is a turnoff. Liam believes that he and Jennifer are much better suited — and both of them are anxious to see where their relationship goes!”

What a strange assumption that Liam and Jennifer were “flirting all night” because Liam kept talking directly into her ear at what was certainly a very loud party. No one ever saw the two lock lips, and I don’t buy Jennifer touching Liam’s leg as evidence of romance because she’s a very touchy-feely type of friend. Besides, Liam is allegedly still enjoying regular trysts at the home of January Jones & JLaw is too smart to step into that mess.

There’s also a story in this week’s Star that says Liam is still living with Miley, but they’re sleeping in separate rooms; supposedly, Liam feels too awful about Miley’s state of mind and just can’t leave, and it’s Miley who refuses to take off her engagement ring. Oh man:

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth called it quits after he was caught leaving a pre-Osacr party with “Mad Men” star January Jones in February. But the former couple still have some unvinished business. “He’s living at her place in LA,” a friend of Miley’s reveals. “But they’re not sleeping in the same bed; she’s in the master, and he’s in a guest room.” So why hasn’t Liam left? An insider close to the former couple says the Hunger Games star, 23, is concerned about Miley, 20, who still won’t take off the 3.5 carat engagement ring he gave her in June. “Miley and Liam have broken up before, and she unraveled,” says the source. “She was crying and calling and texting him all the time. Everyone was really worried for her, especially Liam.” Despite everything that’s happened, he cares about her, says a pal: “He’s a good guy. He loves her, but he knows that they’re not right for each other. He just wants to make sure that she’s in a good place before he moves out and they officially announce their split.”

Dude needs to pull that bandaid off. I think Liam is a douche for cheating on Miley with January, but he’s not making it any easier by stringing her along. Just move out and be done with it, right?

Meanwhile, a Miley source (obviously) says that she and Liam have totally made up and that they kissed on May 10 at her house. Whatever. As much as I don’t believe that Liam and JLaw are, like, totally doing it …. I believe even less that Miley and Liam are just fine.

Here’s Jennifer Lawrence at Cannes (and settling nicely into a Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin sandwich) while wearing Dior at an early photocall for Catching Fire. I’m labelling this “early” because Catching Fire is not actually screening in Cannes — it’s not even close to being a finished movie! Yet it is never too early for the promotional game, and there are flaming billboards up near the famed Majestic Barriere hotel.

Hence this photocall — and I’ll be perfectly honest here and admit that this Dior jumpsuit is so unflattering that, upon first glance, I was certain that JLaw was wearng some awful Stella McCartney creation that was making her look lumpy in places that certainly would look much better with a flattering design. After all, Jennifer has worn Stella before even if that instance was a rare Stella design that actually looked halfway decent. However and now that this look can be attributed to Dior, there is simply no excuse for the ruffled detail around the waist that is the crowning achievement of awkwardness atop a black crochet bustier erroneously coupled with off-black pants. Poor JLaw, and her shoes are nearly as mystifying as Claflin’s choice of footwear.

Since I’m in the mood for full disclosure tonight, I will admit that even though I am the resident JLawloonie, her recent haircut wasn’t met with much excitement on this end. Kaiser thought it was cute, but I didn’t like it in its wavy incarnation. Now I’m seeing this haircut in all of it’s messy, piecy glory, and it is glorious and accompanied by a complete absence of winged bangs. It is spectacular. It might be my new haircut.

Liam Hemsworth looks quite appetizing too, right? I quite like him with only the tiniest bit of scruff and am pleased that he shaved the overzealous beard away.

Also, here are some photos of JLaw and Liam at the Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian) premiere. JLaw is wearing Dior again (and this look is so much more sophisticated than the other outfit) while Liam is wearing the most delicious Dolce & Gabbana suit. Most suits are so boring, but this one is … hot damn.

Nicholas Hoult appears in the upcoming “fabrication” issue of Flaunt magazine. Don’t worry — I don’t understand the meaning of that concept either. The shoot is kind of strange and a bit of a waste when it comes to highlighting this lovely, up-and-coming Brit. The clothes are pretty awful, but the close-ups of Nick’s face are rather appealing. He’s got amazing bone structure and piercing blue eyes that manage to not look all serial-killer-esque like Bradley Cooper’s peepers.

Since Flaunt hasn’t released any interview excerpts yet, let’s talk about this guy’s love life really quickly, shall we? Just a few weeks ago, Kaiser reported that Nicholas and Jennifer Lawrence were spotted enjoying a dinner out together even though they ended their two-year relationship in January. Of course, there are a whole lot of us (myself included) who would love to see Nick and JLaw get back together, but not so fast. At the Met Gala (where he and JLaw arrived separately) Nicholas claimed that the two were just “friends.” Then after the Met, Nicholas supposedly partied with his Mad Max: Fury Road co-star, Riley Keough, and the Mail has photos of of Nicholas and Riley walking down the street in NYC together the next day. For what it’s worth, they don’t look very couple-y together, but who knows.

Like I already said, this post is mostly about the photos, but Flaunt promises that the interview features Nicholas supposedly discussing honesty, family, and “dropping trou” for this photo shoot. Hmm, I don’t see any evidence of dropped trou, do you? However, I am receiving some serious Miami Vice vibes. Maybe these photos are cropped, and Nick has his pants off in the actual magazine. One can only hope.

Jennifer Lawrence is under contract with Christian Dior now, so it’s no surprise that she wore Dior on the red carpet at the Met Gala last night. Upon very close inspection, this gown is practically a confection in its lovely attention to jewel-encrusted detail with a slim, classy little belt, and the strapless look is one that JLaw can pull off well. The birdcase veil is the perfect accessory here, but the look overall doesn’t match up well with the “punk” theme of the event.

If one throws the theme out the door, however, Jennifer is utter perfection in this dress except that the dark color disappears a bit on the red carpet. Her makeup is gorgeous and appropriate with bold red lips, soft eyes, and a pop of color on the cheeks. Those diamond earrings are very classic too. She’s gorgeous!

Amanda Seyfried went very brash in Givenchy (of course) with a bold print that she was working like crazy. The draped back of the dress is more interesting than the front, and the train of the gown is just right without going overboard. Amanda wisely toned down the makeup, and her slicked-back hair knew not to distract from the overall look. If this dress and jewelry combo didn’t match the event’s theme, it would have been too much, but Amanda wins this one.

Katie Holmes gave it her all when gliding into camera view with this flowing Calvin Klein halter gown in the purest of whites, and she looks quite beautiful here but not very punk at all. There’s just too much dress here! Further, the gown doesn’t flatter Katie’s figure and makes her look a little bit frumpy, which is odd when one considers the bit of side boob on display. Her hair and makeup are quite dramatic and nearly appropriate to the event though. Nice effective smoky eyes.

I began dyeing my hair a few years ago to cover the premature grey. I have a love/hate relationship with hair dye at this point, mostly because my roots come out within a week and I feel like the darker hair dye is fundamentally changing the texture of my already fine hair. My hair is “flatter” now, and it feels oily really quickly. But… I love better now that I’m covering the grey. Before I started doing this, I had never fooled around with my hair color in my youth – there was just nothing to try, given my Indian-girl-coloring. I sometimes wish I had played around with my hair more in my youth, especially when I look at photos of Jennifer Lawrence.

Jennifer has been changing up her hair a lot over the past few years. And I think it IS her hair for the most part, give or take some extensions and the occasional hair-piece for a special event. Jennifer seems to be going through a phase where she changes her hair color for literally every movie she does, and during her Oscar campaign, it seemed like she was changing her hair color for each major awards show too. That’s a lot of hair dye! And according to Star Magazine, all of that dye and hair drama meant that Jennifer is now basically balding.

Jennifer Lawrence surpised everyone by sporting a short new ‘do at the GLAAD Media Awards on April 20, but sources say it was less of a style statement than a Hail Mary.

“Jen chopped her hair off because it’s falling out of her head,” says an insider. “She’s had so many chemical treatments and extensions that the only thing she could do to make her hair healthy again was to start over.”

How bad was she overdoing it? Following the Oscars, she went from blonde to black to brown – in 24 hours!

I’m including the photos of Jennifer at the GLAAD event in this post – I think her color looks fine, and her hair looks healthy. The cut is a little bit mom-ish and it kind of ages her, but if it was a necessity, so be it. I doubt she’s “balding” but I’ll buy that her hair was and is overprocessed. Gossip Cop has an unnamed insider who claims Star’s story is crap, for what it’s worth. My guess is that her hairstylist was basically like “Girl, give it a rest.” Jennifer’s currently working on X-Men: Days of Future Past, and if they’re doing her hair the same way as they had in the first one… that means she’ll probably need a wig or some extensions. Poor Jennifer!

By the end of 2012, the tabloids were reporting that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult’s two-year relationship was under significant strain, and that both of them were ready to move on. Perhaps this was helped along by Harvey Weinstein, who pushed Jennifer HARD for her Oscar campaign (and it paid off) and Harvey thought it would be easier to sell Jennifer if she was single, and he even played around with the idea of putting her with Bradley Cooper to keep the publicity machine going. So, by January of this year Jennifer and Nicholas Hoult were done. The breakup seemed relatively drama-free, considering their ages – Hoult made a point to talk her up in interviews, and Jennifer never said a bad word against him either.

Maybe they knew the breakup would be temporary considering they would soon be working together on the X-Men sequel. And that’s exactly what’s happened. The sequel to X-Men: First Class has begun and it looks like Hoult and Lawrence are back together. They were photographed together two nights ago as they left a restaurant in Hollywood – go here to see the photos. According to the Mail, they “attempted to avoid being photographed by leaving The Little Door eatery via the rear exit, but were snapped as they got into the actress’ waiting car… Jennifer and Nicholas tried to keep their heads down as they made their way to the vehicle, but appeared in good spirits following the evening together.” Jennifer was also clutching a copy of Anna Karenina. Which does not bode well for this renewed romance.

Anyway, she’s 22 years old and he’s 23 years old. This really doesn’t have to be forever. But they can be great friends and lovers and play this on-and-off game for a while, and I’ll be fine with it. I think they’re such a cute and lovely couple. I love it when a funny American girl gets with a lanky English boy. It’s like a real-life rom-com.

Here are some photos from last night’s GLAAD Awards gala in LA. Bill Clinton was the big winner (he took home the Advocate for Change Award), but Jennifer Lawrence was the big star of the show. Jennifer showed off her new shorter haircut which… I think it looks cute? I have the feeling that she wanted something a bit more rock-and-roll, but in the end it just looks cute rather than hardcore. I really dislike her David Koma dress though – if the skirt was just a straight, fitted pencil skirt, I would like it, but that stiff-looking flair is terrible. From the waist up, she’s totally fine. Her makeup is especially good here.

Hilariously, I’m starting to think that Jennifer is just one of those young ladies adored by (much) older men. Remember when Jack Nicholson hit on Jennifer after the Oscars? Well, the same think kind of happened at the GLAAD Awards with Bill Clinton. According to E! News, Jennifer and Harvey Weinstein did a presentation about Bubba and Jennifer flubbed Clinton’s name on stage. Clinton reacted by mouthing the words “I love it” and then saying, “I don’t know why Harvey made Jennifer do that. She really was like 2-years-old when I became president. I met her backstage and she looked like she was touring the Museum of Natural History.” And then Bubba went in for the kill (okay, it doesn’t say that but you know he did).

We haven’t had some good Jennifer Lawrence gossip in awhile, have we? Ever since awards season ended, JLaw (after smoking a quick doobie in a hotel room) has gone straight back to work with Catching Fire reshoots and then onto the American Hustle set of nightmare period hairdos. Of course, Bradley Cooper (and his epic perm) is on that latter film set with Jennifer too, but I don’t think we’ll have to worry too much this time around about tabloids making sh-t up about the two of them hooking up together.

Why? Because Bradley’s got himself that brand new, 20-year-old model girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, who may or may not have materialized as a direct result of Leonardo DiCaprio’s nefarious, modelizing influence. Naturally, our collective tongues clucked after recalling that Bradley once claimed he could never date JLaw because he “could literally be her father.” As it turns out and according to a new story from Radar, Jennifer is indeed a bit miffed about BCoop’s new girl because now he’s spending all his downtime with Suki instead of hanging out with JLaw like he did on their two other film sets. Poor JLaw lost her gay boyfriend good buddy to a model:

All is not well between Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper on the set of their new film, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned jealousy is to blame. The two, whose chemistry with one another earned the Silver Linings Playbook a host of Oscar nominations, aren’t seeing eye-to-eye about the Hangover star’s new girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, while on the set of director David O. Russell’s new Abscam scandal movie.

And sources tell Radar that 22-year-old Jennifer is jealous because Bradley, 38, is spending his free time with Suki, 20 — instead of her! “When Bradley and Jennifer made Silver Linings Playbook and Serena together they were inseparable,” a source tells Radar. “But now, Bradley has been spending his free time with Suki, and she feels like she’s lost her partner in crime.”

The source continued, “They haven’t been hanging around each other as often as they used to. Bradley flew Suki over from London to Boston and he took her on a tour of the city. Then, he flew to Paris to see her the moment he had a break in filming. Because he’s spending all his free time with Suki, Jennifer’s only really seen Bradley on set and she’s grown a little jealous about it.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Suki has Bradley wrapped around her finger as he jets around the globe to see her. Last week, the pair was seen strolling arm-in-arm during a romantic break in Paris — the city of love — as their relationship heats up.

“Suki has Bradley marching to the beat of her drum,” a source close to the couple told Radar. “First, she clicked her fingers and he invited her to Boston, even when he was busy filming his latest movie. Then, she told him she wanted to be romanced in Paris. He immediately organized it, with no expense spared. Suki is keeping Bradley on his toes because she doesn’t want him to treat her like one of his flings — she wants far more than that.”

And Jennifer has some stiff competition, because Suki is quite successful herself! “She’s ambitious and has a successful modeling career in the UK, which she is desperate to replicate in the States,” the source said. “And she also appeared in her first movie called Pusher last year, so she would love Bradley to introduce her to some producers and directors to expand her acting career. She wants to make sure that this relationship works,” the source revealed.

If this story is true, I certainly can’t blame Jennifer for being miffed about essentially being thrown by the wayside so that Bradley can get some hot model lovin’ for a few months — especially since BCoop was dating Zoe Saldana before and still found plenty of time to make fart jokes with JLaw. I predict that Bradley will come running back once his current fling expires. Obviously, this relationship won’t last if Radar is correct about Suki using Bradley for movie biz connections. This won’t end well, will it?

In the aftermath of the Oscars, the focus was on the two female winners of the evening — Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway. Everyone pretty much forgot about the dudes, right? Well, the responses towards the two couldn’t be more different, as everyone loved Jennifer for tripping her way up the stairs and forgetting to thank Harvey Weinstein, and everyone attacked Anne Hathaway for giving an (obviously) carefully rehearsed speech and basically conducting the most annoying Oscar campaign in recent years. I agree with Kaiser that Anne wasn’t really that bad during her campaign, but she was just everywhere at once and on the cover of every magazine with a Taylor Swift-esque feigned innocence and a fake little girl voice in every interview.

Somehow, JLaw managed to also participate in a rather aggressive campaign, yet one was left with the feeling that she’d be a great drinking companion. Collectively, we wanted more from JLaw, and we wanted Anne to take an extended break out of the spotlight. Once the awards were handed out and the afterglow faded, Ann was left crying nonstop because of the backlash, and JLaw immediately hopped on an airplane to Hawaii where she smoked some doobs. These two represent polar opposites of the Hollywood spectrum, and NYMag put together a great piece on why people feel so differently about Anne and JLaw.

Even though Jennifer is now ping-ponging between reshoots for Catching Fire and playing Christian Bale’s wife in Abscam, she’s still got some previous interviews that are floating to the surface. In a talk with Fabulous mag (via Us Weekly), Jennifer discusses her own personality in front of the media. She basically calls herself a rabid chihuahua who has now idea what she’s talking about until after the fact. Again, she comes off pretty cute and likeable even while claiming that she’s a mess:

Jennifer Lawrence’s candid interviews have earned her more than a few fans, famous and not, who say her unfiltered sense of humor and laid-back personality are a refreshing change from the Hollywood norm. But the actress insists that her seemingly carefree demeanor is actually the opposite, and that she’s a ball of nerves whenever she’s the center of attention at an awards ceremony or movie premiere. The only place she feels she’s really herself, she says, is when she’s playing someone else.

“I’m afraid I’m going to go my whole life being scared like a chihuahua,” she admits in the new issue of the U.K.’s Fabulous magazine. “It’s not my comfort zone. Making movies is where I belong. I shouldn’t be heard just talking. So, when I’m doing movies, I’m really happy. That’s where I’m comfortable, that’s my home. When you put me on a red carpet or on a stage, I turn into chihuahua Jennifer.”

“Chihuahua Jennifer” is apparently a talker. “I have no control over what comes out of my mouth,” the Silver Linings Playbook star says of the candor everyone loves so much. “I would probably turn into a mute if I read what I said.”

That delicate balance of unguardedness and self-awareness is part of what keeps the 22-year-old Oscar winner — who split from British actor Nicholas Hoult in January — grounded. The other part is her family and non-famous friends. “Definitely my family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an a–hole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them,” she tells Fabulous.

“I don’t ever walk around feeling famous, I walk around feeling the exact same way I have walked around my entire life, but it’s not until I talk to somebody and see in their eyes that I’m different. It makes me feel weird,” she says. “A lot of things that I didn’t even think could ever be possible for me have happened, all in a year. It’s been overwhelming, but in a wonderful way.”

If it were almost any other female actress claiming to still feel like a normal person despite evidence to the contrary, we’d all be rolling our eyes, right? When it comes out of the mouth of JLaw though, it’s very easy to believe she honestly feels that way. I mean, it’s hard to fake the way she behaved in that famous Jack Nicholson video. She’s just a fun girl and talented actress, and somehow the two states are not mutually exclusive. Clearly, she’s still telling the same fart jokes that she did before she was famous. Whereas I get the feeling that poor Anne doesn’t fart at all, which could be part of the problem.

These are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence on the set of the untitled David O. Russell movie (now referred to as Abscam). JLaw is wearing her character’s 1970s-style updo to match the period era of the movie. Jennifer went straight from the Oscars to pot smoking in Hawaii to Catching Fire reshoots in Hawaii to shooting this latest movie in Boston. She plays Marie, who was the wife of Christian Bale’s FBI informant, Mel Weinberg. Their relationship was complicated, Marie was said to be very unhappy in the marriage and went on to commit suicide in the early 1980s. Mel, of course, had a history of adultery and even kept a separate home for one of his mistresses at the time of Marie’s death. By all accounts, he was a pretty terrible husband.

Of course, there’s an obvious age discrepancy between Christian and Jennifer, and he is 16 years her senior. The age difference between Mel and Marie was smaller — just 8 years. What’s even stranger is that JLaw’s character should have been in her 40s at the time the movie takes place. While I don’t doubt that Jennifer can play someone older, I don’t think she can realistically manage to jump two decades ahead in time. She’s a talented actress, but give me a break. Bale has obviously gotten some help in the hair and makeup department with his on-set combover wiglet, but it’s hard to mistake him for a 50 year old as well. Mostly, I think David O. Russell wanted to work with his favorite actors again and doesn’t mind bending the ages even to the point of utter ridiculousness.

Amy Adams plays one of Mel’s earlier mistresses, and she was also photographed on set with both curlers and flowing waves. She’s just so cute.
