Ah, jewelry p0rn. Where have you been all my life? Last night, BVLGARI hosted a “celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of BVLGARI jewelry” and many stars came out to party. Only a choice few got to actually wear some of Elizabeth’s famous jewels though, so I’m including some close-up beauty shots of some of my favorite pieces. I should note something else too – while Elizabeth Taylor had some beautiful pieces from Bulgari, she had a beautiful and varied collection of pieces from many jewelry designers and some exquisite vintage and historical pieces too. I think it’s bizarre for Bulgari to basically claim ownership of Elizabeth’s jewel-encrusted memory. Still, I never say no to jewelry p0rn.

The best of the evening was probably Julianne Moore in Alexander McQueen. The dress is meh, but Julianne got to wear Elizabeth’s exquisite emerald necklace, purchased by Richard Burton in the first years of their romance. God, isn’t it beautiful?!

Melania Trump has a new jewelry line on QVC which she’s promoting, because all you need to do to get a jewelry, fashion or perfume line is to be some kind of celebrity. Sadly, it’s true. I watched her promotional interview with ET fully expecting to mock her, because it’s striking how much she looks like her husband and I expected her to be as much of an ass as he is. She has the same fug swoop in her hair as Donald, she’s similarly orange, and she has the exact same smug expression as he does on the red carpet. They look perfectly suited for each other, and that’s not a compliment. In the video she seemed warmer and less crazy than I was expecting, so she must have retained enough of her pre-Trump personality to be a more decent person than he is. (Which isn’t much of an accomplishment.) She’s her own person, and she has her own jewelry line, which she of course claims to have been involved with “from A to Z.” (They all do that.) The jewelry looks like copies of more expensive pieces, it’s gaudy and not my taste, but it’s pretty for that type of jewelry.

The takeaway from this interview are Melania’s comments about her “romance” with her husband. She says he’s romantic, but then she hedges and says their romance is “different” than other people have and that they’re both “very independent.” She also talks about all the things they do together and not how she feels or what a great guy she’s married to. I get the sense that it’s more of a business arrangement that she’s tolerating, but that’s what you would expect from anyone married to Donald Trump. He’s been ranting and going off the rails lately, would you assume he had a great home life? If he weren’t loaded and famous he’d been just another conspiracy theorist yelling at the neighbor’s cat. Melania Trump has quite a life with business baron Donald Trump. The former model sat down with ET to discuss her recently launched jewelry collection with QVC as well her relationship with her husband.

Her husband’s many career happenings in combination with her own professional duties as well as raising their 6-year-old son make the couple’s time together limited. Mrs. Trump says the two maintain a romance unlike the average one.

“He is a romantic guy,” she said inside of her home. “…It’s a different romance than maybe some other people [have] but he’s [a] very different man anyway…but we have a great relationship and we are both very independent. We love what we do…and that’s the most important [thing]. [We] have great quality time together.”

The couple met when Melania, a native of Slovenia, was modeling in New York in the ’90s. Mr. Trump proposed to her in 2004 and they were married the following year. Although they are both busy in the business world, Melania says they cherish the time they do have together.

“We love to go to the movies. We love to just have a dinner, the two of us with friends,” she mentioned as some of their favorite activities together. “We love to go to Mira Lago, spend time [with] the three of us: Barron, Donald, and me together; playing sport; and just spending time together, no matter where [we] are just having a great time.”

The creative-minded former model launched her first jewelry line earlier this week with home shopping channel QVC. Having been immersed in fashion for the bulk of her life, Melania is enjoying creating her own products.

Ooh, do you think this is Melania’s exit strategy? Like is she lining up her own work so she has enough cash to pay lawyer’s fees when she goes for the big bucks? This is Donald’s third marriage, and of course he has a prenup. Maybe Melania is making sure she has enough of her own money to supplement whatever she’s going to get. Is it wrong to root for someone to get divorced, even if they’re Donald Trump? I’m actually rooting for Melania after seeing this video.

Here are some new photos of Uma Thurman doing what I can only imagine was a paid gig for the launch of BMW’s new i8 Roadster. It’s a gorgeous car. Throughout the past five years or so, Uma and Arpad have been on and off so many times, and I think they were legitimately engaged at one point, but the engagement ended. Uma was flashing a huge diamond ring at this event – but it was on her right hand. So…? I don’t know.

Uma Thurman couldn’t have looked more Bond Girl if she tried. The actress unveiled the new BMW i8 Roadster in New York on Monday and to add to the already dangerously glamorous proceedings was spotted sporting a whopper of a diamond ring.

Thurman star looked right at home as she posed in the new concept car, harking back to the days when she played the beautiful but deadly assassin Black Mamba in the Kill Bill series. The 42-year-old looked every inch the smouldering bad girl as she gracefully emerged from the sleek sports car and proudly showed off the mammoth sparkler on her finger.

The ring was not worn on her left engagement ring finger however so it does not necessarily mean Thurman is planning to tie the knot right now – but it could be a hint of things to come. It is also not unusual for high profile female celebrities to become engaged but to wear their engagement ring on another finger to throw the public and the press off the scent.

Thurman is in a relationship with London-based financier Arpad Busson and in July this year she gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. Thurman and Busson, who have been on and off again since 2007, were engaged at one time but ended their romance in 2009. It was 2011 before it was confirmed they were back together again.

I’m really not sure if Uma wants to get married again – I kind of think she likes her life as-is, she enjoys being in NYC with her kids and Arpad gets to come and go as he pleases. I realize some dudes do like to propose when their lady gets knocked up… and Arpad was “engaged” to his other baby-mama Elle Macpherson for five years. But they never did get married. It could be that Arpad is gun-shy about marriage, but he likes to give his ladies a nice piece of jewelry.

I mean, I get that people hate the size and gaudiness of the ring, and I understand the hissy fits and all that. But I do think the more interesting story is two-fold: one, why did Aniston debut her ring RIGHT NOW, this week, after months of hiding it? And two, was this ALWAYS the engagement ring? A jewelry expert tells us that might possibly be bigger than we ever imagined! Gemology and Jewelry Expert with 14 year of experience, Anthony Sarkissian of Beverly Hills’ Premier Jewelry Lenders (Voted Best of Beverly Hills), gave his expert analysis of Jennifer’s ring to HollywoodLife.com.

“If this is a fine quality diamond of at least 10 carats, which it looks to be from initial photos, we could be talking about a million dollar ring here,” he says says. “10 carat and over diamonds command a premium price in the diamond industry, because they are more rare than smaller diamond.”

“The ring looks to be a Cushion Cut or Oval Shape diamond, mounted in a classic Halo design. It may have Micro-Pave diamonds around the center stone as well.”

“Once again, [Jennifer] is a trend-setter, going with a yellow gold setting. This is a popular trend in Europe right now, but we are just starting to see it here in the States,” he continues. “We will definitely be seeing a lot more of the yellow-gold style in the engagement rings world, especially with [Jennifer] setting the trend.”

Yes, I caught the yellow gold thing earlier but I didn’t say anything. This is one of the few points where I will defer to Carrie Bradshaw: no yellow gold for engagement rings. And no pear shaped diamonds. Always err on the side of conservatism for engagement rings, I think. Aim for “classic” not “Real Housewife-gaudy”. Also: I’d be willing to bet that this is more than 10 carats. I’d put it closer to 15-18 carats. I do have to wonder: is Jennifer getting the backlash unfairly? Is this gaudy thing actually Justin’s taste?

Incidentally, Aniston was in Boston yesterday, and instead of posing for more photos with her ring, she stuck her hand in her purse to hide her ring finger. Haha.

These are some new photos of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Last night, they attended “Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection created by Gabrielle Chanel.” Of course Ryan and Blake did not walk the carpet together or anything. Blake walked the carpet by herself, twirling and showing off her Chanel dress and Louboutin heels. Ryan seemed to stay off the carpet, walking into the event separately (with a poorly dressed girl who I can’t ID).

Thoughts on Blake’s dress? When I first looked through the photos, I assumed she was wearing Chanel because it was a Chanel event, but I still had a moment of “Damn, is she wearing Marchesa?” Because that’s who Blake Lively is – she’s the girl who can make Chanel look like Marchesa. She doesn’t want to admit it. Anna Wintour doesn’t want to admit it. Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t want to admit it. But Blake’s “look” is just so downmarket, she makes expensive Chanel couture look like Marchesa ice-skater bulls—t.

Blake was also showing off her giant engagement ring too. I’m searching for the best photos we have of it… FOUND THEM! It looks really, really pink in these photos. And I’m glad Blake got a manicure for the major red carpet debut. Also: Blake’s ring is huge, but it’s still smaller than Jennifer Aniston’s quartz rock.

It’s killing me that we don’t have the photos of Jennifer Aniston’s engagement ring! She finally showed it off, after months of playing hide-and-seek with the damn thing as she worked in North Carolina and New Mexico on her film We’re the Millers. Then, like magic, one little celeb-friendly photo agency hit the jackpot with some “candid” photos of Jennifer’s be-ringed hand stroking Justin Theroux’s hipster face. First off, those photos were taken in Santa Fe, where Jennifer is still working on her movie. Justin came to visit her, and it feels like the first time they’ve seen each other since they got engaged in mid-August. Earlier reports claimed that Justin had chosen a ring that was “not that huge” and rather “understated” and that he had chosen the ring by himself. Do you believe that? Do you believe that he paid for that ENORMOUS rock? Hm. *adjusts Ring Conspiracy tin-foil hat*

As for the size and shape… I still can’t really tell. In the photos, it looks kind of like a giant quartz rather than a diamond. Could it possibly be a cabochon diamond? No. Of course not. It’s probably just a big ol’ diamond. BIGGER THAN ANGELINA’S. More expensive! Bigger! More important! PAY ATTENTION TO ANISTON. Big diamond! BIG! OMG PITY PARTY SHE IS DOING FINE, ANGELINA SUCKS, JUSTIN IS SO HOT, HOTTER THAN BRAD HOMEWRECKER.

Yesterday, Blake Lively returned to the New York set of Gossip Girl. After Blake’s publicist slammed People Mag for their cover lie (“People was there!” – at her wedding), I kind of assumed that Blake would be on lockdown, that she would only be doing the big reveal to Martha Stewart Weddings, and that all of the pap agencies and weekly tabloids would just have to suck it. Not so much, as it turns out. Blake made sure she was photographed in a lovey embrace with her new husband (in photos that were taken after their wedding in South Carolina and released yesterday), all while flashing her enormous engagement ring and wedding band. The ring is actually a pink diamond. Can you tell? I can’t. Ryan went to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, and according to Schwartz’s spokesperson, “Ryan chose Lorraine Schwartz to help him find a flawless, light pink oval diamond. They worked together to design a custom setting in rose gold and pave diamonds with a nod to deco.” Reportedly, the ring cost somewhere in the vicinity of $2 million. It’s a pretty ring… it’s not my particular style, but I like that it doesn’t look like everybody else’s engagement ring, you know? I think her wedding band is pretty too.

Oh, and we’ve found out more about the dress too. Blake wore “a one-of-kind couture Marchesa bridal gown with hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery.” Something about the idea of a Marchesa creation with “hand-draped silk tulle” makes me wonder if Blake’s wedding gown resembled a toga. No judgment. If she wanted to wear a toga on her wedding day, God bless.

Last Blake news… she and Ryan honeymooned in Virginia! They were only a few hours away from me. I totally should have crashed their honeymoon (“HEY Y’ALL!”). They stayed at Virginia’s Inn at Little Washington – you can read more here.

I’m kind of surprised that Stacy Keibler and George Clooney are so stable and downlow these days. They’ve been low-key all summer – mostly vacationing in Italy and throughout Europe, it seems. They’ve already passed the one-year mark too – remember when they got together last summer? Stacy was beckoned to Italy and then she was sent home (perhaps Clooney enrolled her in girlfriend bootcamp) and then she showed up in Toronto for the film festival? Ah, good times. Anyway, I keep hearing random tabloid rumors about Clooney finally believing that he’s found “the girl” he wants to marry. I tend to ignore those rumors because… it’s Clooney. But Stacy’s hustle is admirable, and she’s doing a much better job keeping the relationship locked down. So maybe George is prepared to reward her… with a ring!

Every girl dreams of a ring from George Clooney – and now Stacy Keibler has one! Sources reveal Clooney recently gifted his former WWE wrestler girlfriend, 32, with a beautiful gold piece. But don’t listen for wedding bells just yet.

“It does look like a wedding band, but it’s actually a very simple vintage gold ring,” a friend of Stacy’s tells In Touch. Still, Stacy was floored by the blingy gesture. Says the friend: “She was blown away!”

Jennifer Aniston Ring Watch is still upon us. I wonder if the tabloids are going to really go for it, and try to force Aniston to show off her ring before she’s ready. In the meantime, she keeps hiding her left hand out in public, that is, when she’s not showing off her prop wedding band when she’s on the North Carolina set of We’re The Millers. All while Justin Theroux quietly enjoys his life in New York City, acting like “the happiest guy in the world.” Obviously. I would say that JustJen wants us to leave them alone… but they don’t. They want to draw it out. Jennifer wants to show us her ring. She just wants to draw out the suspense for a while.

Well, that WAS my theory, but Us Weekly kind of blew my theory in their JustJen story this week. According to Us Weekly’s sources, Jennifer has totally been showing off her new ring to people in North Carolina, but an eyewitness describes it as “not that huge” and “pretty”. Hm…

Size doesn’t matter to Jennifer Aniston. The actress, 43, has been proudly flaunting the understated ring her fiancé, Justin Theroux, designed and proposed with on August 10.

“She’s been very happy and girlie about it,” explains an insider on the Wilmington, NC set of We’re the Millers. The bling is “pretty,” adds the insider, “but not that huge.”

Not that low-maintenance Aniston needs a big bauble as proof of Justin’s love: she believes their 16-month relationship is blessed by the stars!

“Jen is really into astrology,” says a second pal. “Justin is a Leo, which she thinks is a good match for her.”

For Aniston, an independent Aquarius, the loyal Leo, 41, “is the rock she needs in her life,” adds the friend. Her risk-loving Sagittarius ex-husband, Brad Pitt, “did not match with her in that sense.”

My new theory involves Justin going AWOL and actually designing the ring… a ring he could afford. A ring that is smaller than Jennifer was expecting. A ring that that is smaller than The Leg’s! Which might be why Jennifer is hesitant to debut it publicly? Note: I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with a smaller diamond. At all. Although I adore looking at the giant, ice-skating rink diamonds, I appreciate practicality too, as well as the personal touch. Jennifer is a small woman with small hands – a giant rock might look out of place on her hands. I have a 3-carat sapphire ring that I love to wear, and honestly… 3 carats is big enough for me! So no judgment from me… although I do wonder if Jennifer is judging Justin’s taste.

As for the astrology aspect of the story… I don’t know much about the other signs. I’m a Virgo, I just know about my own sign and what goes with Virgo. I’m horrible with Aries and Gemini – they’re not logical and practical enough for me! My mom’s a Leo (as is Barak Obama and Bill Clinton), so I tend to like Justin more now that I realize that he’s a Leo. I’m not even sure I’ve even had an Aquarian friend or that I’ve ever dated an Aquarian, so I can’t speak to Jennifer and her sign.

PS… I just looked it up… Michael Fassbender is an Aries! How have I never realized that before? God, he and I will never work out in the long run. We’ll only have a brief, torrid affair in which we fight like dogs (and make up the same way).

I remember a time, not that long ago, when it seemed like every time we wrote about Lindsay Lohan, she was somehow connected to the phrase “cracked-out jewel heist”. The Cracken has a long history as a jewel thief, long before she was even charged with stealing jewelry in an LA boutique… when was that? Last year? Lindsay has been crack-heisting sh-t for YEARS. So it’s almost pleasurable for me to see Lindsay going back to her crack-roots. According to multiple outlets, Lindsay was questioned by the cops following an all-night party in the Hollywood Hills – a party in which some items of jewelry went “missing”. Cough.

Lindsay Lohan was interviewed by police today regarding an apparent burglary at a Hollywood Hills home last night — but Lindsay insists … she had nothing to do with it.

According to sources, Lindsay slept over at the home in question Sunday night after a small get together — along with several guests — and when everyone woke up this morning, the owner of the home claimed expensive jewelry had been stolen from the property.

Law enforcement sources tell us, police were called to the home and interviewed everyone inside, including LIndsay.

We’re told Lindsay was very cooperative — but claimed she had nothing to do with any missing jewelry.

As of now, Lindsay is NOT considered a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

Radar and X17 say that Lindsay’s assistant Gavin Doyle also spent the night, and Gavin was also questioned by the police. You know what? I’m sort of amazed by all of the components of this story. Let’s break it down, shall we?

*So, you invite Lindsay Lohan to your houseparty, or she crashes it. As soon as you realize Lindsay is on site, wouldn’t your first reaction be to hide all of the valuables, all of the liquor and all of the drugs? And why would you invite her to SPEND THE NIGHT?

*Even then, Lindsay is still going to find all of your valuables and she’s going to try to crack-heist them in some way. While I admire the ballsy move of calling the cops and not letting people leave, if you’re not going to come out and accuse (J’Accuse!!) the Cracken, it all becomes a theater of the (crackie) absurd.

*So, obviously, the Cracken stole your jewelry. Why do you think she would have any qualms about lying to the police in a standard issue interview? Unless you’re going to strip search her – and I mean putting on the gloves and checking for the jewelry IN her crack muffin – the whole exercise is pointless.

*While you’re gloved up, you should really check Gavin’s drawers too. The Cracken loves working with a partner on her jewel heists.
