Jennifer Garner passed up a role in “Dallas” due to fear of J.Lo

Jennifer Garner was offered the role of Pamela Ewing in the upcoming “Dallas” movie, but she decided not to do it after learning that J.Lo had already signed on to the project. Seems like Garner has a healthy fear of her husband’s big-bottomed Latina ex:

JENNIFER GARNER reportedly turned down the role of PAMELA EWING in the forthcoming DALLAS movie, after discovering her husband BEN AFFLECK’s ex-fiancee JENNIFER LOPEZ had signed to star in the remake. The ALIAS beauty started dating her DAREDEVIL co-star in July 2004 – seven months after the actor ended his high-profile engagement with J.Lo. British newspaper the Daily Mail claims Garner was in talks to play BOBBY EWING’s wife Pam, but backed out when she realised Lopez would be playing JR’s alcoholic wife SUE-ELLEN. A source says, “Jennifer Garner was really keen to be in Dallas, but I think she felt there would be a bit of a strain between them on the set and that could have led to awkward situations. “Both are totally professional, but there might have been a certain ‘atmosphere’ and Jennifer Garner didn’t need to go there.”

Garner has a happy relationship and a gorgeous baby with Affleck, the man who put a stop to J.Lo’s lavish wedding and gradually dumped her through passive aggressive behavior. Now all J.Lo has is a skeletal husband and a fat stomach that she wears mumus over in an attempt to get people to think it’s a baby bump.

It doesn’t matter how rich or successful J.Lo is, Garner will always be happier and more content because she’s just a genuinely kind, positive person. Judging from her decision to stay away from J.Lo, she has a lot of sense too.

Jennifer Lopez to get her own MTV reality show

Jennifer Lopez, who may be pregnant finally depending on how much evidence you need, is going to get her own reality show on MTV in which she auditions dancers for an excuse to make a show about their hard knock life:

Jennifer Lopez is set to star in a new MTV reality series called ‘Moves’.

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer – who originally found fame on US comedy series, ‘In Living Colour’ – will select and audition dancers to star in a show which follows their constant struggle to get their big break.

She said: “I started out as a dancer, and I know what that world is. These dancers have dedicated their lives to this. It’s something they do only out of love.

“It’s a tough life, and I want to show that struggle.”

I don’t know about Lopez’s “dancing out of love” comment. Dancers must enjoy it or they wouldn’t make it their career, but J.Lo’s dancing career was easily abandoned for singing and acting, and it seems like she does it out of pure ambition.

Lopez has somehow avoided a lawsuit for pulling out of her strange handful of tour dates in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. She promised to reimburse concert promoters for costs incurred in preparing for the shows she pulled out of, and they have agreed not to sue her.

She is also quoted as saying that thinking about her ex, Ben Affleck, and his new family makes her depressed.

The Latino star admitted the thought of Ben and Jennifer Garner and their new baby makes her sick reports Female First UK.

Jennifer told Britain’s Star magazine: “Just raising the subject depresses me.”

The Latin beauty – who has made no secret of her desire to have children with husband Marc Anthony – is reportedly pregnant. Lopez is due to give birth around Christmas, a source told America’s In Touch magazine.

So far the only source for J.Lo’s supposed pregnancy seems to be In Touch magazine. We’ll believe it when and if she looks further along.

Jennifer Lopez gets sued for cancelling her weird tour

Jennifer Lopez is being sued by concert promoters for pulling out of her tour of select European and Middle-Eastern cities. They cite the massive costs of promoting her cancelled appearances, along with the cost and effort of catering to her every anticipated whim:

Bulgarian promoters Pick and More have teamed up with their colleagues from the rest of the cities where Latin diva Jennifer Lopez cancelled her tour to sue her.

Apart from the star’s fee, the organizers of her Bulgarian gig admitted that they had spent about EUR 203,000 on commercials and to satisfy Lopez’ many whims. The promoters said they has spent a little over EUR 3,000 on sunflower seeds, chili, aroma candles and mineral water, and then had to double the sum to transport all the supplies from the states.

Now J Lo is facing a trial and all the angry promoters are determined to get their money back. The most disappointing fact, Pick and More admitted, was that the diva didn’t give any reason for the cancellation. The short note announcing that the rest of the tour was not to be did not bear any explanation, and many find this unethical…

The Latin star was supposed to hold her concert in Sofia on May 2, as part of the tour promoting her latest album “Rebirth”, but she delayed the gig for May 23. Afterwards she cancelled the tour, leaving thousands of disillusioned fans in Mocow, Dubai, Mumbai, Athens, Baku and Thessaloniki.

People are speculating that J.Lo is pregnant since she looked slightly thick around the middle at the Time magazine awards and was sporting grey hair. It doesn’t seem likely to us since she’s been trying to get pregnant forever. If she is knocked up, she surely had some medical assistance and it seems like someone would have spilled the beans that she was getting fertility treatment.

Also, if she is pregnant it seems early enough in the pregnancy for her to be able to tour without a risk to her health. Her tour in Bulgaria was set to start May 23rd, a little over a week before she cancelled it.

We hope something else is up, because we can’t stand J.Lo and don’t want to have to report about her pregnancy and birth.

J.Lo gets skewered in new work of “fiction”

A new chick lit book whilch the author claims is based on celebrity in general, not Jennifer Lopez specifically, is so close to Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s story that it’s not fooling anyone. The author, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, has the arrogant J.Lo character cheat on Ben Affleck with Marc Anthony in a bid to boost her career:

“Make Him Look Good” is about a male Latin pop sensation, the international crossover star, Ricky Biscayne, who has rekindled his affair with Jill Sanchez. So what do we know about her?

She is engaged to “the boyishly handsome and patently non-Hispanic actor and screenwriter Jack Ingroff.” Formerly Sanchez dated “a mealy-mouthed” rapper named D-Kitty, until the night “some dudes in his crew” shot another rapper.

“The public seems to have forgotten all about how the gun was found stashed beneath her very own seat in the Escalade limo, or about how she’d worn a bandanna around her head like a gang member…”

Sanchez “in her own estimation, is the sexiest, cleanest woman alive.” She’s lifted her style of pairing innocence with lust, pretending to be “surprised by her own sexy gyrations,” from Britney Spears. Botox and belly lipo are her friends.

Sensitive Ingroff hopes that “some of Jill’s cruelty will rub off on him.” Sanchez has never learned the name of anyone who works for her. Her clothing line is the product of a team of designers who get no credit. In the recording studio, she’s vicious to the very producers who are digitally manufacturing her voice.

In fact, the only time Sanchez delivers an Oscar-worthy performance is when she’s pretending to be a professional singer “getting ready to lay down some kick-ass tracks.” As if.

Imperious, demanding and dismissive, Sanchez uses humiliation as a motivational tool on her staff. In meetings, no one is allowed to speak directly to her unless she first gives permission.

The lead character periodically puts her hands on her stomach during photocalls to drum up press speculation about her pregnancy status, and tries to train her husband to be more media-savvy and manipulative.

The author, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez admits that “There are some anecdotes in there based on experiences that I or people I knew had with Jennifer Lopez.” No kidding. She also claims that members of J.Lo’s staff approached her and told her that the book was dead-on.

That sounds really juicy and it’s sure to be a best seller!

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony at the ALMA awards

Perhaps Jennifer Lopez has stayed with Marc Anthony for so long because she looks so damn good standing next to him. Hell anyone would look good standing next to this man. If she’s having trouble getting pregnant, it’s probably due to Marc, since he’s so obviously deficient of key nutrients. Maybe he has an intestinal disorder which would explain his foul mood and undernurished appearance.

Lest Angelika accuse us of poor research, Lopez and Anthony attended yesterday’s NCLA ALMA awards, which honor “outstanding Latino artistic achievement in television, film, and music and the enhancement of the Latino image in the entertainment industry.” The ALMA awards were hosted by Eva Longoria and will be aired ~~Monday night~~ June 5th at 9:30 EST on ABC. ~~They must be right after David Blaine’s dumb special.~~

Anthony was honored for excellence in music:

Among the night’s highlights was a presentation of the CELIA CRUZ Award for Excellence in Music to the internationally renowned singer MARC ANTHONY. As he was accepting the award, the singer gave his famous wife JENNIFER LOPEZ, who was there supporting her hubby, a romantic shout out.

Our friends at yeeeah point out that Lopez has grey hair, but I’m younger than her and have that problem a few days a month, too, so I shouldn’t mock. I also have much less access to professional stylists, so she’s fair game: dye your roots, Jen.

Costume Institute Gala over 100 photos

The Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art held a ball last night to celebrate the opening of an exhibit on British design. Sienna Miller, wearing an awful gold sequined minidress and black tights, served as co-chair for the event.

The star-studded Costume Institute Gala was the opening event for a new exhibition celebrating British design at New York’s prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The flamboyant show, made up of themed rooms including a Hunt Ball and a Gentleman’s Club, is the latest example of the city’s growing obsession with all things from across the pond.

Celebrities from the UK including Liz Hurley, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell put on their glad rags for the lavish event.

The Americans were represented by A-listers including Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker and Richard Gere.

The British-born editor of American Vogue, Anna Wintour, swept in first.

Miller, who teamed her glittering frock with opaque black tights and wore her hair tied back in a simple ponytail, shared the limelight with Christopher Bailey, the creative director of Burberry.

He and Wintour were the starlet’s fellow co-chairs. The fashion house and Vogue publisher CondÃƒÂ© Nast have sponsored the exhibition.

The guy dressed like a cabaret pirate posing with Charlize Theron is Dior designer John Galiano. He’s responsible for her monstrosity of an Oscar gown with the giant shoulder bow. Sienna Miller is shown with Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s creative director.
