Joe Jackson calls Katherine responsible for MJ’s death, gets ass handed to him

39205, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Monday April 5, 2010. Joe Jackson arrives at the Los Angeles Superior Court for the pre hearing of Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of pop singer Michael Jackson. Also present is the late pop star's brother, Jermaine, who flashes a peace sign as he arrives. Photograph: PacificCoastNews.com
Over the weekend, British rag News of The World posted an interview with a barely coherent Joe Jackson in which Jackson claims he basically said “I told you so” to Katherine after their son Michael died. In the video, Jackson mumbles and speaks in half sentences as he claims he told Katherine to look in on Michael in the months before he died. Joe, 80, says he saw signs that Michael was frail and thin and told Katherine to go see him, but that Katherine refused, citing Michael’s privacy. After Michael died, Joe basically blamed Katherine. He said to News of The World, “I told her, this would never have happened if you would have went and been with him.” Yes, it’s all Katherine’s fault for not heeding Joe’s advice. What’s possibly worse is that Joe admits he never cried after Michael died, and says he was mad at Katherine for crying, since she could have saved Michael if she would have just followed his advice.

Here’s a segment from News of The World’s coverage. They take Joe’s halting statements and turn them into fully formed thoughts. If you watch the video on their site you can tell that he didn’t speak with even a tenth of the eloquence they’re attributing to him.

The shattering accusation emerged when the couple came face-to-face as Michael lay on a mortuary table.

“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset. But I didn’t give her a hug because I was MAD at her crying,” snaps Joe, 80, who says he had spent months urging her to get the singer into rehab for his prescription drugs addiction.

“I said, ‘If you had listened to me Michael would be living now!’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong.

“I couldn’t bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference.”

“I didn’t shed any tears, but maybe I should have. I just felt furious that my son was gone.”

And he focused that fury on Katherine. “In Michael’s final months alive I said to her many times that I couldn’t get through to him – and that she needed to help her son,” storms Joe.

“I had begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy and gave him the slack she thought he needed. A child will listen to his mother more than his father – and Michael was a mummy’s boy. He listened to her.

“I still haven’t been able to talk about it to her as she doesn’t want to hear what I have to say.”

[From News of The World]

There’s more, including the fact that Debbie Rowe visited her biological kids and that they’re doing well, but you can read it at the source if you’re interested. Joe manages to make even good news sound ominous. That guy is such a creep and a user and I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that he’s blaming his poor wife and showing no sympathy for her, but I am. It’s still mean and completely uncalled for. The good news is that Katherine’s lawyer has stepped up. Katherine issued a statement affirming her love for Michael and calling Joe on his evilness. TMZ points out in their coverage that Joe could be firing back at her for blocking his attempts to use his son’s memory for cash:

Katherine’s lawyer, Adam Streisand, tells TMZ, “The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship.” Streisand then drives it home: “The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget.”

Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Michael Jackson estate, tells TMZ, “The inference by Joe Jackson that Mrs. Jackson was in any way responsible for Michael’s death is preposterous. Katherine Jackson was a supportive and loving mother throughout Michael’s life. His love and respect for her is reflected in his estate plan.”

Now here’s how Joe may have screwed himself. He’s not included in Michael’s will and no matter how hard he tries to invalidate the will, he’s going to end up with nothing in that department. The chances of Joe getting a court-approved allowance from the estate are slim to none. And Joe is trying to exploit Michael’s name to make money, but his unauthorized attempts have pretty much been shut down by the estate. Ouch … and true.

So the only thing Joe has been able to rely on … Katherine’s generosity in the money department. Looks like that gravy train may have finally left the station.

[From TMZ]

I would love to hear more about how Joe has “been shut down by the estate” while he’s been trying to capitalize on Michael’s death. We’ve heard that he’s been working on a Michael Jackson museum and casino in Gary, Indiana, and maybe the estate put the kibosh on that. Joe may be attempting to malign his long suffering wife, but she has the control now and by making ridiculous statements like this he’s only showing how desperate and cruel he really is.

Joe Jackson plans $300 million Michael Jackson museum, casino & hotel

Jackson Family Foundation Press Conference
It seems like Michael Jackson’s death was the best thing to happen to his greedy dad, Joe. Joe once said Michael was “worth more dead than when he was alive,” but then added “I’d rather have him alive” as if that would distract us from the fact that he was dancing on his son’s grave. Joe reportedly made a quarter of a million to introduce the This is It documentary at venues throughout England, along with cashing in with various and concerts after Michaels’ death. Now old granddad Joe is at it again, with plans for a $300 million Michael Jackson museum to be erected in the family’s hometown of Gary, Indiana – the place he once charged $5,000 just to attend a memorial for his late son.

Michael Jackson’s father is opening a $300 million museum dedicated to his son.

Joe Jackson- is moving ahead with proposals to build a museum, performing arts centre, concert hall and possibly a hotel and casino in Gary, Indiana, the hometown of the late singer, who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June.

Speaking as it was announced a study is to be undertaken into the feasibility of the scheme, Joe said: “This is a happy day for me because this is something that my family and Michael have always wanted.

“We’re bringing something back.”

Gary Mayor Rudy Clay explained the city would donate 300 acres of land to the project – which he added could create “thousands” of jobs – while the rest of the funding for the complex will come from investors and donations from the general public.

IT is hoped the project would attract 750,000 visitors each year – and as much as $150m in annual revenue.

[From Contact Music]

I hope this museum goes the same way as that multi-million dollar tribute concert Jermaine planned that got postponed for eight months. It was supposed to happen this month but we never heard anything about it. Jermaine pre-sold a bunch of tickets and claimed that big acts were going to perform that never committed. Joe just wants a payday and this museum, hotel, casino and never-ending Michael Jackson destination site is his way of working some shady business deals and making that happen.

In related Michael Jackson news, his three children are going to receive at least $33 million each as per the terms of his will. That money will be meted out gradually and they won’t receive the full amount until they reach 40. Michael wanted to protect his kids from the vultures who might descend on their fortunes, like the father who pushed him into showbusiness and kept him from having a childhood.

Joe Jackson says Michael’s worth more dead than alive

wenn5377394

Joe Jackson has a unique ability to put his foot in his mouth. Well more than that really, because putting your foot in your mouth implies it was unintentional or you at least take a normal level of care about what you say. Joe does not. He says whatever he feels like, regardless of how it’ll likely come across to others. That’s how we get to today’s example. Joe says his deceased son Michael is worth more dead than alive. How thoughtful.

Joe Jackson says that Michael is making a bigger impact than ever since his June death from an apparent drug overdose.

“He’s worth more dead than when he was alive,” Joe, 80, tells “Extra” in an interview that airs Thursday night. “I’d rather have him alive.”

As Michael’s movie “This Is It” rakes in $2.2 million in the box office, Joe adds, “When he was living, they didn’t show this.” Joe admits he wasn’t on board with the flick at first, which documents Michael rehearsing for his comeback tour of the same name.

“I didn’t know what ‘This Is It’ meant,” says Joe, who spoke to “Extra” in Las Vegas at the unveiling of a celebrity star honoring him and his famous family. But the movie allows him to remember Michael “as I knew him best: performing and dancing on stage. Entertaining people,” he says.

Hearing Michael’s songs make Joe “very emotional,” he admits. He sometimes sheds tears “when I’m off to myself and I start thinking about things that we went through,” he says. “No one will ever see me, though.” He has harsher feelings for his son’s doctor, Conrad Murray, who is currently under investigation on manslaughter charges.

Joe says if he saw Murray, he’d “knock him out.”

[From Extra]

You know Joe has never seen his children as anything other than dollar signs. And he’s not going to bother to clarify what he meant, which I think was that Michael has received a huge amount of renewed interest since his death. Joe chose to phrase it as cruelly as possible of course. But it’s true that Michael has gotten more public sympathy and people have been much more curious about him since he passed away.

But really, all Joe Jackson cares about is how much money he can make off Michael. And I’m sure he’s getting a lot more now that Michael is dead than when Michael was alive. I’d like to say that maybe Joe isn’t in full possession of his faculties anymore, but he’s always been this way, by most accounts. Michael’s memory deserves to be honored, instead of Joe plundering it.

Here’s Joe Jackson being “honored” with a Brenden Celebrity Star at the Brenden Theatres at the Palms Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last night. Sickening. Images thanks to WENN.com .

Joe Jackson still cashing in on Michael’s death

The MTV Video Music Awards Take Over Radio City Music Hall!
Eh, I hate this sh-t so much. Just reading this kind of crap gives me a tension headache. Okay, here goes: Joe Jackson is still hellbent on profiting on Michael. Joe’s latest scheme involves This Is It, the upcoming film that will feature Michael’s final rehearsals. Joe has made arrangements to “introduce” the film at screenings in England. Of course, his introductions come at a cost – the Chicago Sun-Times estimates Joe will be paid $250,000, but doesn’t specify if that figure is for the whole introduction series, or Joe will be making $250,000 per introduction.

One thing about Joe Jackson: He sure is busy cashing in on his superstar son’s death.

Given Michael Jackson’s final concerts had been scheduled for London and were instant sellouts, Papa Joe has moved to make some serious moolah tied to the release of ‘‘This Is It,’’ the upcoming film of Michael’s final rehearsals for that tour.

I’ve learned that when the film opens in England, Joe will introduce screenings during the first week at selected venues. Word has it, he will be paid about $250,000 for his, uh, efforts — which reportedly will include sharing a few stories about the King of Pop with audiences before the screenings.

‘‘He stands to make more from these London shows than from his Vegas deal,’’ said a source privy to the London project, referring to the VIP packages Jackson is promoting for ‘‘This Is It’’ openings Oct. 26 and 27 in Las Vegas, with prices ranging up to $3,000 per ticket.

[From The Chicago Sun-Times]

I don’t even want to go into how gross I find Joe Jackson and his whole deal. It’s just disgusting to me. So I’ll change the subject.

Justin Timberlake gave a recent interview to MTV about Michael’s legacy, and Justin is incredibly generous, gracious and thoughtful with his tribute to the performer he idolized. JT says: “If there’s anything that I think my generation of artists — including myself, obviously — emulate about Michael, it’s that he felt what he was doing so much that his vocal presentation of the song, you can tell when he was cutting the record he was probably dancing in the booth. At least that’s what it seems like to me. That type of energy, that kinetic energy into the music, I think that’s what we all try to emulate. From hip-hop to pop to rock and roll, I think that there’s inflection that he put into music as a vocalist that no one had ever really heard that way. I just heard certain songs that I loved as a kid and I gravitated toward those songs. It just so happens that 99.79 percent of his songs are perfect. They’re perfect songs. The other whatever percentage are works of art as well.” Aw… nice. Just think about Justin and forget about that crotchety, senile, gross, abusive, disgusting son of bitch Joe.

Joe Jackson on The Today Show: I see my grandchildren enough

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Joe Jackson had an interview that aired on the Today Show this morning. The Jackson patriarch was sketchy in his responses and spoke in kind of halting half sentences. He cut the interview short when he was asked how much he sees Michael’s children. He said he sees them “enough,” but he faltered and took a while to get to that point. You could tell the real answer was “not much.” From the way he carefully worded his response to how he was doing, it was obvious that he’s trying to pretend that he cares more about Micheal’s loss than about all the opportunities that his son’s death has brought him. He’s a piss poor liar though, especially considering how much experience he has at it. Joe also repeated his vague claim that unknown persons are responsible for Michael’s death and that they need to be brought to justice.

People Magazine’s report on this interview packages Joe’s responses so that they make sense. Watching the interview, you just got the impression that the guy is still trying to get press coverage following his son’s death but that he doesn’t have much to say.

How are you doing?
I’m fine. I’m still grieving over my son’s loss, because he was the greatest. All over the world. I’m proud of that.

Are you angry?
I’m not angry. I’m mad… I didn’t know all this was going on. That’s what I’m mad about

You didn’t know Michael had a problem with these medications.
I didn’t know he was taking that type of medication.

Your son’s death was ruled a homicide. What does the family want now?
They want justice to be done. That’s what is being done.

Does that mean criminal charges?
I don’t know.

Did you know he needed that drug [Propofol] to go to sleep?
No, I did not. First I ever heard of it.

Police say Dr. Conrad Murray admitted to to them that he gave Michael Propofol the morning he died… That has now been ruled the cause of death. What does that tell you?
That tell me [sic] that was foul play done. That’s what it tells me. And more to be investigated to see what really is behind all of this stuff. Not just Dr. Conrad Murray.

Do you want someone to pay?
Someone should pay. Not just someone, but all of them should pay that’s involved.

All the doctors?
I didn’t say doctors. Anybody else that’s involved.

What role do you play in the kids’ lives?
Well I’m their grandfather.

Have you seen them?
Of course.

How often do you see the kids?
I’ll put it like this… I see them just, well. I see them enough, time enough, often enough.

At the end of this story, they dropped the news that Michael Jackson’s body is finally going to be buried this Friday in a private ceremony at Forest Lawn Ceremony. It has been over two months since the King of Pop died, and this isn’t the first story we’ve heard about a pending burial. Let’s hope it’s for real this time. His kids don’t need to keep waiting to bury their dad.

A tribute show was held for Michael Jackson at the Palms Casino over the weekend on Saturday, that day that would have been his 51st birthday. Jackson was honored with a star on the walk of fame outside the Casino, which Joe happily accepted saying :I wish he was here to see this take place.” I wonder how much Joe Jackson was paid to attend.

Sky News reports that Joe Jackson went a little further in his request for an investigation into his son’s death, saying “I want them to do a complete congressional investigation.” He also expressed how unbelievable his son’s death still is, “I just can’t believe he is not with me no more… Seems like he is just performing somewhere else and still living and having a good time performing, entertaining people.”

Michael Jackson burial is postponed yet again

michael jackson tribute 18 070709
Just when you thought that the Michael Jackson death saga couldn’t possibly get any weirder, news broke yesterday that the late pop star’s body remains at large – that is, un-buried. Joe Jackson reportedly informed TMZ that his son’s body, originally scheduled for interment on August 29, will now be laid to rest on August 31 instead. Apparently, the family needs more time to milk Michael’s passing and score TV appearances – er, “get things in order.”

Joe Jackson tells TMZ the burial has been pushed to August 31, because there are things the family needs to get in order before Michael is laid to rest.

Jackson was scheduled to be buried on August 29, what would have been his 51st birthday.

Story developing…

[From TMZ]

“There are things the family needs to get in order before Michael is laid to rest.” Like what? What exactly needs to be done after two months in order for him to be buried? Get some shovels, dig a hole, and boom, you’re done, right? I just do not understand what the problem is here. I can picture Joe Jackson going through the pockets of every single pair of pants Michael owned, hoping to find more money. And where the heck is Michael’s body now? Can you imagine being the person in charge of guarding it? Maybe I’ve seen “Weekend at Bernie’s” too many times or something, but I get the impression that something weird is going on. Just bury him already!

Michael Jackson’s dad Joe recieved $5k for attending his hometown memorial

wenn2501850
The latest news in the saga of creepy Joe Jackson has the late Micheal’s dad receiving some portion of $5,000 for attending his son’s memorial in their hometown of Gary, Indiana. The money was apparently slated for Joe and a music group signed under his record label – the one he promoted multiple times in interviews following his son’s early death.

GARY — Joe Jackson and an Illinois-based musical group charged the city of Gary $5,000 to attend a memorial last month for Jackson’s son, the late pop star Michael Jackson, records released Thursday show.

It isn’t clear if Gary has paid the bill yet, but a claim form released by City Hall indicates the money will be split between Jackson, Marshall Thompson and the Chi-Lites, which list an address in Midlothian, Ill.

Overall, the preliminary account of the cost of a hometown memorial for Michael Jackson at the U.S. Steel Yard baseball stadium indicates the costs exceeded income by about $3,000.

City spokeswoman LaLosa Burns, though, said those figures could change as bills and donations continue to arrive. Mayor Rudy Clay, meanwhile, is confident Gary will profit from the event once all the donations are counted.

“It turned out beautiful and great and we’re not using taxpayers’ money,” Clay said, “so we should be given a blue ribbon for prudence.”

The claim form for Joe Jackson, Thompson and the Chi-Lites doesn’t indicate if the money was meant to pay travel expenses.

However, City Hall also released in-kind donation records that show $200 in meals, $3,000 in limousine services and $1,800 in hotel rooms were donated to the city. Gary officials have said previously that those donations were meant for the “celebrity guests” at the memorial.

[From Post-Tribute.com]

So not only did Joe charge $5,000 for the band to perform that signed under his record label, he also accepted a free hotel room and limo, services which were likely provided to all his friends on the city dime as well. I guess we would expect nothing less from this asshole. He probably thought that $5,000 was a complete bargain and that he was doing the city a favor by charging them such a nominal sum.

In related disturbing Michael Jackson new, TMZ reports that his body has yet to be buried, andis currently frozen at Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills, where it’s thought he’s going to be buried eventually. We haven’t really heard why the body has yet to be buried, but there are probably plenty of legal and logistical issues causing the delay. I bet the executors and family can’t agree on where to put the body, as was the case after James Brown’s death. It was at over two months before Brown was finally buried, and Michael is looking at a longer wait.

Here’s Joe Jackson looking smug at Michael’s hometown memorial in Gary, Indiana on 7/10/09. I believe he was rubbing his hands together in glee at some point. Credit: WENN.com

Joe Jackson says Michael hasn’t been buried, wants to move Neverland to Vegas

wenn2501849
Despite rumors that Michael Jackson had quietly been laid to rest in an unmarked grave at Forest Lawn cemetery, the late King of Pop has not been buried yet. Michael’s creepy dad Joe spoke to E! News about the state of his son’s casket, which has yet to find a permanent home. It took over two months for James Brown to be buried due to the legal issues between his estate executors and family, and we’re looking at a similar time frame for Jackson, who passed almost seven weeks ago. (As I looked up that detail, I found this photo of Michael Jackson paying his respects to Brown when he was laid in state at the Apollo theater. The photo is disturbing, as Brown is in an open casket and Jackson is pale as a ghost as usual. It makes me uncomfortable to look at it.)

Joe, never one to miss an opportunity to meddle and cash in where possible, said he supports moving Jackson’s abandoned estate, Neverland, to Las Vegas. At first I thought this article was claiming Joe wanted Michael to be buried in Vegas, but it sounds like he doesn’t have control of that and is just suggesting that a Neverland-type venue be built there. Joe lives in Vegas and would probably hang around whatever shrine is built to Michael trying to promote his projects and pick up women with his crypt-keeper charm.

Just in case you weren’t certain, Michael Jackson is “not buried yet.”

Shooting down published reports (and backing up what we reported yesterday), father Joe Jackson tells E! News exclusively that his son has not already been laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Joe declined to specify any burial plans or confirm whether his son’s body has been placed in Motown maven Berry Gordy’s crypt as some outlets have speculated.

The Jackson patriarch, who resides primarily in Las Vegas, also tells E! News he supports a proposal to move Neverland to Vegas.

“I think Vegas would be great,” says Joe. And while he doesn’t think the family would visit such a shrine to his son, Joe does believe “the fans would come.”
Asked about Michael’s ongoing death investigation, Joe says he prefers not to discuss it, only adding, “I still can’t believe he’s gone.”

[From E! Online]

I wonder if the reporter asked Joe specifically about a Vegas Neverland or if Joe came up with it on his own. My money is with good ‘old Joe. While Jermaine is planning that elaborate tribute concert in Vienna, Joe wants to take his rightful place as guardian to a chintzy Vegas shrine, his soulless eyes and lilac-colored eyebrows taking in all the money-making opportunities created by his son’s premature death.

Joe Jackson won’t be involved in raising Michael’s children

wenn5317793

Yesterday we told you that Katherine Jackson, Michael’s 79-year-old mom, has gotten custody of his three children: Prince Michael, 12, Paris Michael, 11, and Blanket, 7. Though Blanket’s custody has never been a huge issue (he was born to a surrogate), it’s been up-in-the-air regarding whether or not Katherine would raise the eldest two, or if they’d go with their mother, Debbie Rowe. The Jacksons must have been truly desperate to get Paris and Prince. Joe Jackson had to agree – in writing – that he would not be raising the kids and will only visit Katherine’s home from time to time.

Joe Jackson doesn’t plan to help raise Michael Jackson’s three children.

The Jackson family patriarch lives in Las Vegas and wrote in a statement filed in a Los Angeles court on Monday that he only occasionally visits the family home in the San Fernando Valley, north of downtown Los Angeles.

“I have had a close family relationship with these grandchildren since their birth,” Jackson wrote in the declaration dated July 13. “I do visit the family residence from time to time and will continue to do so, however I will not be involved in raising the children.”

His two-page declaration expresses support for his wife, Katherine, who on Monday was granted permanent custody of Michael Jackson’s three children.

Joe Jackson wrote that his wife is “a wonderful caretaker and guardian.”

A judge on Monday awarded Katherine Jackson a monthly stipend to help upkeep the family’s home, where her three grandchildren are staying.

Court records released on Tuesday include forms signed by Jackson’s two oldest children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris-Michael, 11, consenting to their grandmother serving as their guardian. The documents do not include any statements by the children.

[From the Huffington Post]

The Huffington Post goes on to say that Debbie Rowe will be introduced back into the kids’ lives slowly with the help of a child psychologist. According to her lawyer no money was involved in the agreement between Rowe and Katherine Jackson. Rowe’s one big stipulation was that Joe stay the hell away.

Debbie Rowe received no money for giving up custody of Michael Jackson’s children to his mother, her lawyer tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “No money was exchanged, discussed, or changed hands regarding the custody settlement that was reached by my client, Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson,” legal eagle Eric George told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Debbie will be working out a visitation schedule to see her children, we’ve learned. But RadarOnline.com’s investigation also uncovered that Debbie went hard-line on Joe Jackson’s involvement with the kids… “Debbie wouldn’t sign off on the custody agreement unless Joe Jackson submitted in writing that he would have nothing to do with raising the children,” another source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. “Debbie stood her ground and demanded it be done. She wants Joe held accountable.”

Debbie’s insistence paid off. Joe Jackson submitted a declaration to the Court stating, in part, “I do visit the family residence from time to time, and will continue to do so however I will not be involved in raising the children.”… “Debbie’s concerns were never about money but the security of the children’s future, a future that she will be playing a role in,” the source added. “Debbie has tremendous faith in Katherine, and the utmost respect for her.”

[From Radar]

While it sounds like Joe will obviously be somewhat removed from the children, he’s still going to be in their lives. And Katherine has denied that Joe ever hurt her children or is anything other than a great, loving man. That makes me worry since she obviously doesn’t see how dangerous and controlling he is.

I don’t want to assume she has bad intentions but it’s very hard not to worry that Katherine’s being manipulated by Joe, who’ll say whatever he needs to in order to get those kids. I seriously can’t imagine him backing off and chilling in Vegas when there are little people whose lives can be messed with. That’s like Batman ignoring the Bat-signal. It’s a good thing a child psychologist will be involved. True, it’s more for Debbie, but if the kids have someone outside the family with whom they can build a relationship and trust, hopefully that person will look out for their greater good.

Joe Jackson says Omer Bhatti is Michael’s secret son

fp_3205221_rij_2009bet_set2_062809
With a dad like Joe Jackson, it’s no wonder Michael Jackson turned out to be a crazy drug addict with a melted face. The stage dad from hell recently appeared on News One in an exclusive interview and confirmed that Omer Bhatti, the mystery man who sat with the Jackson family at the televised memorial, is indeed Michael’s son. But as with all things Joe Jackson, it’s hard to know if he’s telling the truth or out of his mind.

Interviewer: There are so many things, so many stories coming out now. The one that just came out a couple of weeks ago is that Michael may have had another child — I think Omar [sic] is his name? Everyone is like, “Oh, he was sitting right there next to Rebbie [at the memorial],” so everyone is trying to connect some dots. Do you know if that is Michael’s other son?

Joe Jackson: Yes, I knew he had another son. Yes, I did.

Interviewer: And he, uh, he looks like a Jackson.

Joe Jackson: Oh, yes. He looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson, he can dance like a Jackson. This boy’s a fantastic dancer. Matter of fact, he teaches dance.

Interviewer: So maybe he’s the future of the family.

Joe Jackson: I don’t know. I can’t say that yet, until I see it happen (Laughs)

[From NewsOne via D-Listed ]

I will agree that Omer does bear more than a passing resemblance to Michael, but to confirm paternity based on the notion that he “acts like a Jackson” and “dances like a Jackson” is absolutely ridiculous. But then, pretty much everything that comes out of Joe Jackson’s mouth is ridiculous. It’s pretty obvious that he is hoping this kid is a Jackson because he could be the new family cash cow, along with Paris, Prince and Blanket. But to hear him ramble on, it’s difficult to know if he’s just spewing a bunch of crap so he can keep being on TV, or if he is a senile old man who has no idea what he’s saying anymore.

Joe Jackson is pictured at the BET Awards on June 28, 2009. This is the infamous red carpet appearance where he shamelessly promoted his new record label. No doubt he hopes to get “Acts like a Jackson” Omer Bhatti to sign on. Photos: Fame Pictures.
