Kate Gosselin’s ex husband, Jon, has a new girlfriend of less than a year, after having broken up with his last one in January. Of course he does. The guy has Ed Hardy underwear that will last years longer than his average relationship. His latest girlfriend is a single mom to three kids, and Jon has been dating her from almost the moment he broke up with his last girlfriend. It’s safe to assume there was some overlap there, given his history. Anyway Jon’s latest girlfriend is tweeting photos of him and his kids, particularly with her pit bull dog. In response to two photos of her kids cuddling with the dog, (the ones which are here), Jon’s ex Kate retweeted another person’s message about how pit bulls are dangerous. It was a passive aggressive, bitch move, but I can’t say that this Liz woman is any better. She’s getting into Twitter arguments with people complaining that she shouldn’t be tweeting photos of another woman’s children. Here’s more, thanks to Radar Online:

“The most pure and genuine kind of love & affection,” Liz Jannetta tweeted last weekend, showing one of Jon’s daughters hugging a pit bull.

The photo immediately sparked outrage among some of her followers because of the dog’s stereotype of being aggressive and unsafe around children, so Liz followed up by saying, “My kids r around pitbulls every day.. Frm Dobies, to German Shepherds to Rottweiler, now Pits- the desire 2 blame wil nvr fade.”

Liz then posted another photo of one of Jon’s sons with the pit bull and wrote, “Photography enables such devotion and feeling… <3 these two."

One follower shot back at Liz implying that Kate would be upset if she saw the photos.

"Sure u want 2 be stiring things up Liz..or u wouldn't be tweeting another woman's kids with pit bulls..Yes did U have permission?" they wrote.

"permission from.... Twitter?? Yes, "another woman's kids" also the children of my boyfriend. Kindly... Keep comments to urself plz," Liz shot back...

"Children who were victims of pit bulls Take a look & see why people care," Kate retweeted from one of her followers on Saturday.

You know what, this chick sounds just like Kate! She’s probably perfect for Jon. I also want to say that pit bulls have a bad reputation because of bad owners. They can be very sweet, well behaved dogs when they are properly trained and treated well. I don’t know what it is about pit bulls, but they have the sweetest faces and I find myself drawn to them. My son’s friend has one and she is the nicest, friendliest dog and good with kids. Also, Kate hates dogs. We’ve heard that she physically abused and neglected the family dogs, two German shepherds, before eventually returning them to the breeder. She’s not a responsible or caring pet owner to say the least. I bet she ripped Jon a new one for this while her kids were in no way in danger. German shepherds can be aggressive if they’re mistreated, so Kate probably risked her kids’ safety much more by beating on their poor dogs, but I wouldn’t expect her to realize or acknowledge that.

We’ve heard stories recently that Kate Gosselin spanked her children with a wooden spoon for minor things when they were just two years old. Kate supposedly admitted this in computer diaries she kept while she was taking notes for her book. A journalist friend of her ex, Jon Gosselin, somehow came onto a computer hard drive he claims he found in the “trash,” on which he allegedly found these revealing diary entries. Since he’s been unable to sell his reportedly lousy book on Amazon, journalist Robert Hoffman is selling details to the tabloids. He tells the new issue of Star that Kate abused the family’s two German Shepherd dogs, wouldn’t feed them and forced them to sit in their own filth in their crates. Jon and/or Kate eventually gave the dogs back to the breeder. Of course all this information is coming straight from Jon.

Robert Hoffman, the journalist who became close to Kate’s ex, Jon Gosselin tells the new issue of Star magazine that he allegedly witnessed Kate’s appalling behavior to the German shepherds, Nala and Shoka, that the family kept as pets but eventually gave away.

“Kate left the family dogs in their cages behind the house for hours on end with no food,” says Hoffman, who authored the controversial book Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World.

When Jon and Kate first split up, they would take turns staying at the house with the children, and Hoffman claims that Jon told him that when he would show up after being away for a few days, he’d find the starving dogs living in filth.

“She never cleaned the cages,” says Hoffman. “Jon would return to find them filled with urine, poop and puke. I saw vomit in them.”

Kate not only allegedly let the poor animals live in horrendous conditions, according to Hoffman, she also hit them. “She would knock them over the head and yell,” claims Hoffman. “The abuse caused Nala to become very resistant to Kate, so that any time she came around, Nala growled. After a while, Kate began to fear she’d be attacked, so she sent the dog back to the breeder.”

The Gosselin matriarch was also reportedly very careless about leaving stuff that the dogs shouldn’t eat lying around, including some plastic Easter eggs that the animals apparently couldn’t resist.

“There was an entire bag of them in the garbage,” Hoffman says. “Shoka was up to his waist inside of it.” After one piece of plastic too many, the poor pooch reportedly had to be rushed to the vet’s office for an emergency visit.

Hoffman claims that Kate never wanted dogs, but supposedly agreed to get them solely for the sake of better ratings for the family’s show. “The kids had been begging for pets for years but Kate was adamantly against it, until the show needed content for an episode,” Hoffman writes. “She was only nice to the dogs for the camera. As soon as filming was done, she never wanted anything to do with them. She’d tell Jon, ‘They’re yours… I’m not taking care of them.’”

If this is true, and I don’t doubt it, it’s despicable to abuse animals and to not to give them food and regular exercise. But – the original story was that Jon sent the dogs back to the breeder, not Kate. We covered this story back when it happened in the fall of 2009, and at that time a “source” aka Kate Gosselin, told Radar (which is paraphrasing here) that “The dogs have always been Jon’s and while Kate was willing to do whatever she had to she simply can’t handle them and Jon didn’t make any other arrangements for them to be taken care of. He now lives in an apartment in New York City and never considered getting a place where he could keep his dogs.” So Jon went off to NY City with the daughter of his wife’s plastic surgeon (here’s how that turned out) and didn’t take the dogs with him, and Kate was pissed and took it out on some gentle innocent creatures. Still despicable and awful, but it’s not like Jon couldn’t have kept his German Shepherds if he wanted to.

We’ve seen Kate Gosselin spanking her children. In Touch ran a cover in 2009 (above) featuring Kate smacking one of her sextuplets, Leah, when the girl was five. In response to those photographs, Kate said “Whether the paparazzi are there or not, I am a mother first. I love my children and when they misbehave, I discipline them as I deem appropriate for the situation.” Just prior to those photos coming out, a former staffer of Kate’s told The National Enquirer that she regularly used a plastic spoon to hit the children, very hard, for minor offenses. According to the source, Kate would make sure she smacked the kids off camera so that it wouldn’t be shown on “Kate Plus 8.” I guess Kate is conscious of how she looks with the cameras around even though she tried to play like she doesn’t pay attention to them.

A new book is coming out on Kate Gosselin, and it may paint her in an even worse light than we’ve seen on her show. The author supposedly had access to the diaries Kate used as source material for her books. In unpublished entries, Kate admits using a wooden spoon on her children she nicknamed “the spanker,” and being afraid that she would do real harm to them. If this is true it’s too late now:

“She was beating 2-year-old babies in diapers,” reporter Robert Hoffman, who claims he found secret journals that Kate used to help her write her books, Multiple Bles8ings and EightLittle Faces, told Star magazine.

According to Hoffman, the former Kate Plus 8 star kept detailed notes on her computer about using a wooden spoon to hit her children, yanking them around by their hair, and punishing them for transgressions as minor as trying to climb out of a crib or not adjusting to potty training quickly enough.

“I don’t judge somebody for spanking, but what Kate wrote in her journal is just absolute violence,” Hoffman tells Star exclusively.

He adds that Kate’s lawyers attempted to block his forthcoming book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World.

Kate’s own words may indict her, claims Hoffman. One example: When three of her children helped themselves to M&Ms without permission, she allegedly wrote, “I really, really lost it! I pulled Collin up by the hair, and I spanked them so hard!”

Kate, 37, also utilizes a wooden spoon, which she calls The Spanker, claims Hoffman.

“She uses that Spanker on a daily basis for anything and everything. The spanking entries are endless,” he alleges.

Kate herself often worried about her excessive physicality, allegedly writing in the diary that she told her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, that she “felt like I may hurt his children,” and that she preferred it when the kids were “out of her sight” whenever she flew off the handle, because then she knew “that they are safe.”

In another frightening entry, claims Hoffman, Kate wrote that she was so incensed after Collin threw a tantrum, “I sent him to his crib and whipped him into it very hard…I never felt that I may really seriously injure a child, but today was that day.”

It must be really hard to deal with six two year-olds and two six year-olds, and maybe Kate’s many nannies were not in her bitchy employ at that point. Still, there is no excuse for using a spoon to spank a two year-old child. I’ve discussed my thoughts on corporal punishment in these older stories on Kate smacking her kids. You can read more there, but I’ll just say now that I don’t think it works longterm, that it’s more for the adult letting off steam than for the child, and that it teaches children that violence is an acceptable response to conflict. That said, I would not get all up in arms about a light smack on the butt. When is it ever acceptable to smack a toddler hard with a spoon like that though?

Also, how did this author get access to Kate’s personal diaries on her computer? If this is all true, and I’m guessing it is, I bet that Jon Gosselin was pretty helpful in providing source material.

This week’s Star Magazine had some quotes from Jon Gosselin bitching about his financial situation due to his hefty child support payments, which were $22,000 a month the last I heard. Jon had a job working construction last year, but I doubt he’s worked steadily and he’s obviously hurting. He told Star that he was afraid he might get sent to jail for failing to pay child support:

“I can’t afford to pay my rent, and the domestic-relations staff tell me they will put me in jail unless I pay child support. I am a single father who’s trying to make ends meet during a recession. What do I do – pay child support or rent? I need to support my kids, but I could lose my house, and I need my home to continue to have custody.

“I’m doing the best I can. But life is so expensive with eight kids!”

Jon also had a few choice words about Kate’s ambitions to star in a reality dating show. “I think this is completely ridiculous! We have eight children, and they need us. She is putting reality TV and dating in front of the kids. I know I have a lot to be thankful for, but Kate’s need to be famous is not one of them.”

Poor Jon, he’s just such a victim. Meanwhile Kate is making it clear that Jon doesn’t even have to pay child support any longer. Her lawyer issued a statement that Kate dropped the requirements for support in April:

“I read Jon’s statement on RadarOnline.com and was quite surprised to read that he claims to be struggling to keep his child support payments current. As of April 27, 2012, Kate voluntarily relieved Jon of all current and future child support obligations for their eight children,” she said.

“Kate and Jon talked and worked through all of these issues and she withdrew the child support.

“Currently, he is only paying a small amount on arrears for support that was not paid prior to the April date when she dropped support. Those payments will soon end meaning that Kate is the sole supporter of the parties’ children.

“The last thing Kate ever wanted was for the children to see their father in dire financial straits.”

So Jon is broke from paying past child support, and even after Kate had it waived he went crying to Star about it. I’m not on Kate’s side at all, I just think it’s about time both of them realized that they’re no longer famous, and they’re no longer pulling in the big bucks. It’s time to downsize instead of trying to squeeze another fifteen minutes out of the fame that’s long since passed.

Remember when Jon Gosselin called himself the most photographed person in the world and claimed that he was too famous to work a 9-5 job? Remember when he was hanging out on Christian Audiger’s yacht in Cannes with one 24 year-old girlfriend and later making out at Sundance with another? Well Jon ate crow for a while, moved into a 2 bedroom apartment and got a job working for an environmental company installing solar panels. Then he lost that job and now he’s living with his mom, driving his mom’s car and having her pay all the bills. I forgot to mention all the other chicks he boned and misled along the way, particularly the nanny and the tabloid reporter who cried about the assistant job he promised her after knowing her less than a week. (Note that I looked over the last time I covered this guy, and I basically said the same thing about him. It’s what comes to mind whenever he tries to act holier than Kate.) Jon Gosselin has a new roommate – his mom!

The former star of “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ has finally hit rock bottom and was so down and out that his 65-year-old mother Pamela Castello moved halfway across the state of Pennsylvania to share a townhome with him, say sources.

Pamela pays the rent and shares her beat-up vehicle with the father of eight.

“Jon is going broke – has has no job and I think he has used and abused all the people close to him that helped him financially, like his brother Mark,” revealed an insider.

“He’d wanted his mom to move to the Reading, PA area for a while, and since she is almost the only person left that will still help him financially, he talked her into getting a townhouse – and she pays rent…

“When Jon and Ellen [his last girlfriend] lived together, Ellen split the rent with Jon’s mother – it’s quite sad, actually,” said the insider.

In December, The Enquirer reported that times were so tough for the former IT specialist – who’s now dating single mother-of-three Elizabetta Jannetta – that his beloved BMW was repossessed, and he had to borrow his mother’s beat up minivan.

“He has eight children to provide for and has to turn to his mother to help support him.”

Well Jon did want his kids off TV, and he did pay lip service to living a quiet life after he couldn’t land his own reality show with Michael Lohan and no one wanted to pay his appearance fees. But all I can think of is the Jon we got to know through the press, the Jon with verbal diarrhea and an extremely inflated sense of self. The one who is now broke and living with his mom. I can’t harp on it too much, though. At least he tried to work a regular job for a while. Can we say the same for coupon Kate? Sort-of.

Jon Gosselin has responded to the fact that one of the longterm editors of his kids’ reality show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” was arrested last month and charged with 10 counts of “sex exploit of minor (3rd) 14-1.” According to Radar, that means the film editor “possessed material that contained a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity.”

TLC was quick to issue a statement that the man was a subcontractor through another company, that he was never in contact with the Gosselin children, and that he’s been fired. Jon Gosselin tells Star [via Radar] that he’s met this man a few times, though, and that he’s considering legal action against TLC. I don’t blame him. This is despicable. Plus TLC had Jon up against a legal wall when he tried to get out of his contract and do media appearances, and now he’s got a legitimate reason to sue them. Jon told Star that the alleged pedophile had access to all the raw footage of his children that was filmed, including potty training, showers, etc. He’s in contact with authorities to see if any unaired private footage was potentially distributed by this creep. As a mom, Jon’s response makes a lot of sense to me and sounds completely reasonable and even restrained. Here’s more:

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, William Blankinship was arrested on October 21 on 10 counts of sexually exploiting a minor, and now the reality show dad told Star in an exclusive interview that he is sickened by the news.

“My first thought when I heard this was, ‘Oh my God!’” Jon said. “I’m sure everyone working on the show is shocked and never expected something like this.”

The father of eight, who met Blankinship several times, said he is distressed about the access the film editor had to raw footage of the kids he shares custody of with their mother, Kate Gosselin.

“I have contacted an attorney and I’m trying to gather all the information from the authorities in North Carolina to see if there is any evidence he has footage of our family or if he has distributed it.”

Gosselin said he has not discussed his concerns with his ex-wife, but plans to contact her about the situation. “I will write her an email because I feel this is going to explode, because it is so bad,” Jon told Star.

For now though, Jon said he is primarily concerned about footage Blankinship might have seen. “Of course we filmed potty training…Any parent would be freaked out by this, because the cameraman definitely shot the kids getting ready for bed, being showered and being changed.”

It’s so telling that Jon is the one speaking out about this, not Kate. I’m not saying that Kate necessarily doesn’t give a crap, just that she’s not going to say anything about it because she’s prepping her kids for a long career in show business. Remember when Jon Gosselin was going to Cannes with the 22 year-old daughter of his wife’s plastic surgeon and was hanging out on Christian Audigier’s yacht? Remember when Jon was in Sundance with another 20-something rich girlfriend, making out in public, snatching up freebies and requesting security to accompany him wherever he went? Remember when he was BFFs with Michael Lohan and was pitching his own reality show through his spokesperson? Remember when he called himself the “most photographed person on the planet?” I could go on for several paragraphs with more examples, but I’ll spare you.

Well fame didn’t work out for Jon, so he got another girlfriend after that string of co-eds and ended up getting a real job installing solar panels. Then in May he announced that he was doing his last interview, because he valued his privacy. Only he went back on that of course, recording a recent video for RumorFix in which he’s telling his ex wife that she needs to return to a “simple life” like him. This is response to her ridiculous People Magazine cover saying she’s scared about her future now that her kids’ reality show is over. That’s an admirable sentiment from Jon, but he used to act just as entitled and money-grubbing as Kate and would have been all over his own reality show if he’d had a chance.

Jon, who doesn’t speak to the former star of Kate Plus 8, has some surprisingly stinging words for America’s most famous mom: “Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life — a simple life. Provide for your family.”

Jon, who says he has given up TV and is enjoying working as a computer support engineer, is responding to People’s cover story where Kate claims, “I’m really scared,” after her TLC reality show was cancelled after six years.

Although Kate says she is “freaking out” about her financial future, Jon is optimistic. “Things will work out the way they should work out. Obviously there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs and things work out. Everything is possible,” he tells RumorFix.

And what if the Dancing with the Stars alum has to unload her huge farm home in Pennsylvania? Jon has absolutely no sympathy, “I don’t have a farm on 24 acres and the kids seem to have a great time at my house.”

Jon tells us he sees the kids “a lot,” but says a court order requires that he not be more specific. He also insists that he continues to pay child support.

Jon adds that he likes his life now that he’s out of the limelight. “I go to work every day and provide for my family,” he tells us. “I spend time with my kids – spend time on the weekends. I spend time with the girlfriend I’ve had for over a year now. And enjoy a normal lifestyle.”

Well I agree with him and he does seem like he’s changed. He’s not perfect and I’ve seen him acting like a jerk to his kids in the last few episodes of the show, but he’s surely better than Kate is with them. At least the dude is trying now, even if it wasn’t the noble choice that he’s trying to make it out as. He didn’t have any other options, so he went back to work and does interviews occasionally. Who would have thought at the beginning of his cheating scandal, and with all the messy madness that ensued, that he would come out the better party and the better parent?

For those who are still raging over the Casey Anthony “not guilty” verdict that was delivered last month by a Floridian jury, a slight bit of catharsis (albeit no further justice) can be had in the news that Anthony has been voted to the top of a “Top 10 Most Hated People” poll. Of course this news will do nothing to settle the unrest aimed at the Anthony jurors, who fortunately have been spared the same dubious honor. C’mon, they were really only doing their jobs. Anyway and because I don’t want to freshly stir that pot, let’s get on with the rest of the list, shall we?

Okay, I completely understand why Anthony and Simpson are on this list because they’re basically cut out of the same legally-scandalous grain. Also truly reprehensible are Spencer Pratt (and his extremely expensive crystals) and Nadya “Octomom” Suleman because she’s a drain on the taxpayers and acts like such an entitled bitch concerning her own womb. People don’t like Levi Johnston because he’s a reprehensible, deadbeat famewhore and Jesse James because he cheated on and humiliated Sandra Bullock. Naturally, Paris Hilton’s entrance on this list is rather self-explanatory. As to Howard Stern, he loves to be hated, so he’ll probably feel like he accomplished something today. However, do people still care at all about Jon Gosselin or Heidi Fleiss? Their inclusion makes me wonder whether or not the company presented people with a list and asked them to pick which ones they hated the most instead of asking people to name their own suggestions. Pollsters can be so shady like that.

Poor dumbass Jon Gosselin. He got badgered and yelled at by his domineering wife then hit back by passive aggressively sleeping with every 20-something dumb enough to fall for his puppy dog act. Then when he got a divorce and no one wanted him on TV he tried to say that his kids shouldn’t star on their reality show, either. It would have been a noble thing to do if it seemed like he was doing it for the right reasons and not out of spitte. He went through strings of girlfriends (a teacher, a nanny, his wife’s plastic surgeon’s daughter, and a tabloid reporter to name a few), took them to Cannes and to Sundance, and wore John Hardy t-shirts like they were or ever would be, in style. Now he’s been forced to get a real job to make ends meet despite calling himself the most photographed person on the planet and declaring that it was impossible for him to work a “normal job“ with “no responsibilities.”

So you’ll understand why I think it’s hysterical that Jon did his “last interview” with In Touch, all about how he is finally a productive member of society and values his “privacy.” You know he would do a reality show with his new girlfriend in a heartbeat.

How have things been since you left the sportlight?
I really don’t miss anything about the reality TV life, to be honest. It just wasn’t for me. I learned a lot from it, and now I’m working really, really hard to secure a great future for my family as a normal person.

Does that mean you’re working a typical 9-to-5?
I usually get up at 5:30 am and work until the sun goes down.

What do you do?
My company installs solar farms. I went to school for industrial technology, so it’s right up my alley and I love it. It’s nice to have a private life again and not have everyone know every little detail of my life.

But your kids are still on TV. Do you worry about them?
My concerns for them are the same as any parent’s. I hope they grow up and learn normal things. I hope I instill enough parental advice in them that they do make the right decisions. I feel it’s best that I do what my own parents have done and raise them as normal children…

Has divorce changed you?
It’s changed me for the better. I know who I am now. I was very young when I got married, and then certain things happened, and I’m a much stronger person than I was. I’m much more independent.

Do you and Kate have a good relationship these days?
I can’t discuss that. I really can’t.

Have you kept up with her career?
That’s her life. I don’t really have anything to say about it. And as soon as I left TV, I stopped watching everything.

You’ve been involved with your girlfriend, Ellen, for over a year. How is she different from Kate?
I think it’s reassuring to find someone who doesn’t want the spotlight and is able to ignore gossip and rumors. I think we complement each other very well.

I’m very happy and in love! We don’t argue over anything. She loves my kids and is always there to help me. We have open lines of communication. We tell each other everything…

Would you ever consider going back to TV?
I don’t have plans to go back to TB in the future. I really, really enjoy my job and my privacy. I’m doing the best I can, getting along with people I work with and I’ve made great new friends. I’ve basically just kind of reinvented my life all over again. I just want to give this new life of mine a huge shot and I want to stick with it. I really want to say that this is my last interview.

I’m surprised this latest relationship hasn’t flamed out similarly. Anyone would would consider dating this fool after how well his M.O. has been documented deserves exactly what they get. That’s without even considering that he’s unattractive, although he has lost weight thanks to his new job. He probably still smokes like a chimney too. What a catch.

A couple of days ago, Jon Gosselin was photographed “hard at work” installing solar panels on a building for his new job in construction, having quit the office job he was so proud of because it involved “too much travel.” I contemplated running that story, but then figured that Jon Gosselin would get plenty of other jobs over the next year. Well now Jon supposedly wants Kate back, probably because she was so good at helping him make minor everyday decisions that he finds perplexing on his own. Plus there’s the whole issue of Jon’s standard of living decreasing dramatically now that he’s on his own and completely unable to hold down a basic job or manage his money. Popeater has this story, along with the news that Kate supposedly is on board with this idea, because she misses the life she had with Jon before she was forced to become a “single mom” pulling in hundreds of thousands for the few times she bothers to interact with her kids.

“They both realize how much they miss each other,” a friend of the couple’s tells me. “Neither one of them have been really happy since their ugly split and would love to turn back time to the point where they were both in love before fame took over.”

Jon recently traded his Ed Hardy shirts for a hardhat and scored a job with Green Pointe Energy, a Pennsylvania-based renewable energy company. The former reality star and computer techie spends his days installing solar panels and doing other good-for-the-planet deeds.

“Jon is in a great place,” a friend of the father of eight told me last month. “He is happy and knows what a fool he made of himself after his split from Kate…”

So after the ups and downs of 2010, the couple have found peace again, especially now that the cameras have gone away. As everything has started to return to normal so have Jon and Kate with Jon now working in green construction and Kate turning to being a full-time mom again.

“After the split the both of them were out of control. Kate thought she was going to be dating Brad Pitt, and Jon was sure he was going to be a superstar. Neither one of them found what they were looking for when they were single and have both come to the conclusion that maybe they are right for each other.”

Plus, it wouldn’t hurt ratings on next season’s show! Just saying …

This story is probably from Jon’s camp, because he didn’t get enough press for those very staged photos of him smoking on the job. It makes me wonder if he’s still with the last coed he hooked up with, that Ellen chick who had an advice column online. She still has a photo of herself with Jon on her website, but it’s pretty far down the page. I would bet that she kicked him to the curb and that Jon is considering going back to Kate in order to quit having to worry about paying his bills. Plus it might absolve him of the $10k a month child support payment he’s surely unable to make. I could see Kate acting on camera like she’s taking him back without really letting him do more than live above the garage again while her lover/bodyguard stays in the house. If welcoming Jon back breathes new life into her rapidly fading reality show she’ll probably consider it. She’ll do anything to increase her long over 15 minutes.
