It never fails to crack me up whenever Megan Fox begins to talk about her “acting” or how she got to a specific “performance”. She’s funny because she’s smart enough to know she’s no Cate Blanchett, and yet she’s not smart enough to be able to say stuff like “I worked hard on this part… I did research…. These are the things I did to get into character…” Instead, Megan, talking about her performance, comes out with gems like, “I wasn’t really sure what I was doing.” Of course, she could be talking about the general weirdness of playing a demonic, boy-murdering cheerleader in Jennifer’s Body. How could you do research on that? I bet Natalie Portman would have figured out a way.

Megan was at Comic-Con to promote the film, and she was interviewed extensively. Megan teased the fanboys something fierce. My favorite quote from Megan is: “There are no robots to distract you from whatever performance I do give. So if it’s terrible, you’re going to know that it’s terrible.” My least favorite quote is “I’m just a little girl… Look at me: I’m so sweet!” Barf.

Megan Fox is hot in new horror flick Jennifer’s Body. Just ask her.

“I think I’m pretty sexy in it,” the actress, 23, said at the Comic-Con press conference for the movie (out Sept. 18). “The movie is SO sexy! You better put on your sexy shoes for this movie!”

In the film, in which Fox eats people, “there’s sort of a hint of, a little bit of a lesbian relationship that happens. There’s a girl-on-girl kiss.

“And beyond that, before every kill there is a seduction that occurs,” Fox continues. “The boys have to be seduced to get in close enough to the dead girl in order for her to devour them.”

Fox says she loved starring in the flick because “it’s so unapologetic and completely inappropriate at all times.” But it was harder to film than Transformers, which she slammed as “not about acting” — just special effects.

“There are no robots to distract you from whatever performance I do give. So if it’s terrible, you’re going to know that it’s terrible!” Fox says. “That of course is intimidating, but I think the character was so much fun for me. And I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. I was just trying to have fun with it.”

“I sort of felt like I was being able to make fun of my own image, sort of, as to how some people might perceive Megan Fox to be,” she continues. “I was just sort of flying freely and I hope some of it worked.”

Usually, Fox is “not a fan” or horror movies.

“I actually have a very intense fear of the dark,” she admits. “The last horror movie I saw — I think it was called The Tooth Fairy — was in 2005, and I was 15 years old. After I saw it, I slept with my mother for two weeks afterwards!”

But she pounced on the opportunity to overcome her fear. “I think for me, to be able to play something that I would normally be frightened by is really intriguing and interesting,” she says.

Watching a scream scene in the movie still horrified her. “It frightened me, and it shook me up for like five minutes,” she admits.

She doesn’t mind freaking out an audience. “It’s cool to see myself being able to scare people, because I’m just a little girl,” she says. “Look at me: I’m so sweet!”

I don’t like horror films either, but Jennifer’s Body doesn’t look terrible, I have to say. Amanda Seyfried looks cute in it, in any case. To give the film some half-hearted credit, it’s nice to see a movie about a psycho female killer taking down men. Usually, it’s the other way around. Not really burning a bra or anything, but a minor feminist victory, I suppose.

Unfortunately, Megan Fox might not be around to give us these gems for very much longer. The Twihards are going to swarm her and take her down pretty soon, because while at Comic-Con, Megan made a rookie mistake. When an E! reporter asked Megan which guy she’d like to “devour” like she does in Jennifer’s Body, Megan replied, “I would eat Rob Pattinson so that I could steal some of that pretty… I just wanna be pretty like he’s pretty. I want that James Dean, that sexy-ass hair.” Oh, God. The Twihards will be feasting on Megan within the next week. But Megan is right about one thing – Pattz is way prettier than her.

The last time we saw Josh Brolin and Diane Lane in paparazzi photos, Josh looked annoyed and Diane seemed mildly amused. That was before Josh was supposedly busted cheating, with the details published in last week’s In Touch. Josh and Diane were photographed out together earlier this week, and they were both smiling and Josh was hugging Diane in a show of solidarity. (The photos are exclusive to INF and we can’t post them, but you can see them in the latest In Touch with the Gosselin’s split on the cover) Maybe nothing happened between Josh and that woman who spent the night with him in New Orleans in a “private location,” maybe Josh convinced Diane nothing happened, or maybe she knows he’s stepping out on her and has decided to put up with it. Whatever is going on with them, they’re still together and they want us to know that everything is fine.

In Touch claims in their follow-up story this week that Josh’s stepmother Barbra Streisand convinced Diane to make her marriage work:

Diane Lane is vowing to stick by her husband, Josh Brolin, even after he was caught red-handed with another woman, and it’s her mother-in-law, Barbara Streisand, who is encouraging her to fight for her marriage. As In Touch revealed, Josh was caught getting cozy in New Orlands with local Melissa Green, and even though Josh, 41, insisted to Diane that it was nothing more than harmless flirting, an insider says that the… actress still has her doubts.

“Diane loves her husband more than anything, but she’s fed up with his bad-boy behavior,” the insider says. “This is not the first time she’s heard stories of his wandering eye.”

The insider says that Diane, 44, is now planning to spend more time in New Orleans with Josh while his finishes filming the movie Jonah Hex, an idea suggested by Barbra….

“Diane wants to make it work for the kids.”

Did Josh cheat on Diane and get caught? In Touch had plenty of evidence that there was more than just harmless flirting. Josh was photographed with the woman at night at a bar, and they were both photographed leaving a building together the next morning. A witness supposedly saw the other woman Melissa, 30, sit on Josh’s lap and make out with him at the bar. If all these details are true, it looks like Josh got busted cheating. It’s hard to imagine any other scenario considering that they were photographed outside the same building the next day looking guilty. It’s possible they were staying in separate rooms, but then why did they leave at the same time?

It looks like Diane is standing by Josh, though. They each have children from earlier marriages. Josh, 41, has son Trevor, 20, and daughter Eden, 14, from his marriage to Alice Adair, which was from 1988 to 1992. Diane, 44, has daughter Eleanor, 15, from her marriage to Christopher Lambert from 1988 to 1994. Given how close Eleanor and Eden are in age they could be good friends as well as step sisters.

Josh Brolin and Diane Lane went through a “rough patch” a few months into their their marriage when Brolin was arrested for domestic battery in December, 2004. Both Josh and Diane claimed that the incident was blown out of proportion. Although Diane called the police her rep claimed that she “did not want to press charges and asked [police] not to arrest [Josh].” It’s unclear what happened exactly, but they said that the arrest was a formality after the call was made and that they were “embarrassed the matter went this far.”

I’ve always kind of suspected that Brolin had a harsh temper behind closed doors, but that assumption probably wasn’t fair based on that one report. Now there’s a story that suggests Josh might be cheating on Diane. He was supposedly witnessed making out with a woman at a bar in New Orleans, and she was seen doing the walk of shame outside his place the next morning. Is this story true or is it just wishful thinking by a tabloid hoping for an exclusive?

Josh Brolin is married to one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, but In Touch can exclusively reveal that the Oscar nominated star of Milk was spotted getting cozy with another pretty woman other than his wife, Diane Lane. On May 21, Josh, who is on location in New Orleans filming Jonah Hex, partied at the Royal Street Inn with local Melissa Green — then took her back to another location to hang out at 11:35 p.m. The next morning, at 7:23 a.m., “They left together,” a witness tells In Touch. “Josh looked like he hadn’t slept at all. She was wearing the same outfit as the night before and looked embarrassed.”

According to the witness at the Royal Street Inn, Josh arrived at the bar around 8:30 p.m. with his driver and met up with his director, Jimmy Hayward, and some friends. After doing a shot of whiskey, the actor chatted with several female fans. “He was hugging them and seemed to enjoy all of the female attention he received for hours,” the witness tells In Touch. “He even gave one woman that he seemed to connect with a long hug.”

Josh’s flirting looked innocent enough until Melissa, 30, came to the bar at 10:30 p.m., wearing sexy short shorts and boots. Even though the two were surrounded by people at the bar, “Melissa sat in his lap, and they were kissing each other on the mouth,” the witness reveals. “He nibbled her ears and was caressing her. He was tickling her as she wrapped her legs around him. They looked a little too close for comfort.” An hour later, his driver took Josh (whose rep strongly denies the story) and Melissa to a private location. “They didn’t seem to have a care in the world,” the witness adds.

The only photo In Touch has on their website for this story is a blurry far away picture of Josh laughing while a woman rests her head on his shoulder. It could have been someone he worked with and/or a picture caught at the right moment of a otherwise innocent exchange. This story is all a bit vague – Josh took someone to a “private location” and they both were seen leaving the next day. I guess I’ll have to reserve judgment until I get access to In Touch on Thursday, but what’s a “private location”? Why didn’t they just say “hotel”? It’s all circumstantial, but are the circumstances compelling enough to suggest he cheated? Is this the best photo In Touch has of Josh supposedly cheating? Maybe something is going on there, but I’m not yet convinced.

Josh Brolin is quite the mouthy fellow. The “Milk” star won best supporting actor at the New York Film Critics Awards dinner last night. Instead of giving a simple, gracious acceptance speech, Brolin seized the opportunity to call out one of his former costars for being an asshole. And not just any costar – Russell Crowe. Apparently Brolin forgot Crowe’s reputation for throwing phones and beating the crap out of people.

Josh Brolin is one of my favorite actors because he speaks his mind. Last night at the New York Film Critics Awards dinner, at which Brolin won Best Supporting Actor for his work in the drama, “Milk,” Brolin stole the show with his candor.

For one thing, he called Russell Crowe, his co-star in last year’s “American Gangster,” an “a-hole.” Oh yes, he did. He said, after Sean Penn introduced him, “Quite an actor, Sean Penn. And not an a-hole like Russell Crowe.” He then repeated: “Like Russell Crowe.”

Brolin also gave some insight into how movie stars do interviews.

“I said I studied rats,” he told the rapt audience of actors and movie critics at Strata, formerly Metronome, on lower Broadway. “I said that on the Actors Studio about how I prepared for ‘W.’ It was a lie.”

Brolin told me later that he didn’t really mean Russell Crowe was an a-hole. “He’s a great guy,” he said. “It’s all good. He has his thing.”

Great cover. Sounds like quite the sincere apology. Is it possible that Josh Brolin is a giant douche bag? He’s got a ton of talent, and aside from getting into that big “W” cast fight last year, he struck me as a reasonably normal guy. Generally the kind of actor that isn’t D list, but not someone I’m constantly aware of either. There was an accusation in Star awhile ago that he got too touchy feely with Sean Penn’s wife Robin Wright-Penn, but nothing really came of it. And he appears to be on better terms with Penn than with Russell Crowe. I hate to say it but it seems likely that Crowe might come out of fighting retirement soon. Though at least we know Brolin can defend himself better than that telephone.

Diane Lane, the lovely wife of actor Josh Brolin, is said to be both mortified and fuming over the arrest of her husband after a drunken brawl in a Shreveport, Louisiana bar. Apparently, this isn’t the first time Josh’s drinking has been an issue for the couple, and now sources say that Diane is fed up and wants Josh to choose between her or alcohol.

“Diane gave Josh an ultimatum – it’s her or the bottle,” one insider tells Star. “She is tired of him going out and acting like a frat boy. She’s worried sick about him every time he leaves the house.”

And with reason. Trouble began for Barbra Streisand’s stepson when he and several crew members went out to party on July 11 after finishing up work on Oliver Stone’s biopic, W, in which he plays President George W. Bush. According to a source, as the night wore on, the group got drunker and became too flirtatious with female patrons at Shreveport’s Stray Cat bar. When several local men told Josh and friends to back off, the situation quickly turned violent- and the police pepper sprayed and arrested Josh along with six others, including Jeffrey Wright, who plays Colin Powell in the movie.

“All these problems have taken a huge toll on his wife,” adds the insider. Making matters worse, less than a week after the arrest, Josh was spotted outside a Santa Monica bar on July 19, exchanging words with Sean Penn after he was accused of getting touchy-feely with his wife, Robin Wright Penn.

This isn’t the first time Josh’s wild ways have landed him in hot water. As Star has reported, Josh, 40, was booted out of the Whiskey Bar at the W Hotel in Westwood, California, last month for hitting on women.

And in December 2004, just four months after they walked down the aisle, Josh was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge when Diane, 43, called 911 during a fight that got physical. She did not press charges and dubbed the episode a “misunderstanding.”

For the most part, I approach every story appearing in Star with great suspicion, but there are just enough kernels of truth in this one to make me wonder. Diane Lane seems like such a smart, strong woman, and I hate to think of her being in this type of situation. But it happens to strong women every day, unfortunately. I do agree that, at 40 years old, it is probably time for Josh to cut down on the partying. Especially if it’s putting his marriage and career in jeopardy. Is booze really worth losing everything over?

On Monday MSat reported that actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright were arrested after a bar fight in Shreveport, Louisiana. The details were pretty vague at the time, but considering it was a bar, a drunken fight, and ended up with cops, it seemed safe to conclude that Brolin and Wright were the main problems. However TMZ is reporting that there’s some shocking videotape of their arrest that appears to show police brutality.

Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, who were arrested this past weekend at a Shreveport, La. bar, were pepper sprayed and tased by cops. And, we’re told, police went on a vulgar rant — and portions were caught on cell phone video.

The incident occurred during a wrap party for Oliver Stone’s movie “W” about the Prez. Local station KTBS reports and TMZ sources say Wright, who plays Colin Powell, was repeatedly tasered and pepper sprayed as he lay prone on his stomach in the street. We know witnesses heard the officers using extremely foul language, including the “N” word, directed at Wright.

Our sources say Brolin was observed by witnesses attempting to make peace and standing still as he was repeatedly sprayed in the eyes by cops.

The city attorney has not decided whether to file criminal charges against Brolin, Wright or the others for interfering with a police officer.

I’m assuming the video will be on the internet in short order, though from what’s described, I don’t think I could watch it. It doesn’t seem likely that the police officers’ reactions had anything directly to do with whatever Brolin and Wright did at the bar. Bar fights happen all the time, and while this one got a lot of attention because the actors are famous – and they’re starring in a big important movie – there’s no reason to believe they’ve done anything that explains that officers’ behavior.

This sounds really horrendous, and I’m surprised Brolin and Wright haven’t said anything yet. It’ll be really interesting to see what possible explanation the Shreveport police give.

Oliver Stone’s new movie about George W. Bush suffered yet another setback this weekend when two of its stars and members of the film’s crew were arrested for fighting in a bar in Louisiana. Actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, along with an undisclosed number of film crew, were picked up at a Shreveport bar called The Stray Cat early Saturday morning. The details around the incident are still pretty sketchy. But I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that The Stray Cat is not the classiest establishment in the world.

Actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, along with members of a crew filming an Oliver Stone movie, were arrested during a bar fight Saturday morning, police said.

Shreveport police Sgt. Willie Lewis said Brolin, Wright and five others were arrested just after 2 a.m. at a club called the Stray Cat bar.

A call to deal with a rowdy patron drew interference from other patrons, Lewis said.

The Times of Shreveport reported that Brolin was booked and posted $334 cash bond to be released. Police could not say Saturday night whether he or the others had been released. The paper said they are part of the crew on an Oliver Stone film, “W,” about President George W. Bush.

A call to Brolin’s publicist was not immediately returned Saturday night.

“W” began filming in May in Shreveport. Brolin plays President Bush and Wright plays former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

People actually has the two actors’ mugshots from the arrest posted online- they both look pretty pleased with themselves and are smirking. Neither of them looks like they’ve been in a fight- although I’d bet that they both had killer hangovers to sleep off.

It’s amazing how much a bad haircut can affect your self esteem. I had a very bad experience with some bangs last year (I should have known, thick, chunky bangs are not a good look. And they take forever to grow out). Anyway, Javier Bardem is learning what millions of women the world over already know – a bad haircut can leave you feeling depressed and unsexy.

Josh Brolin made a joke about how depressed his co-star Bardem was by a bad haircut, but it sounds like it has a grain of truth:

Josh Brolin claims: “He was depressed during the process…He felt like he wouldn’t have sex for three months. Full-blown depression. I mean, bad.

“(He) didn’t like the way he looked. He’d stay home for hours on end. He wouldn’t go out.

Bardem himself admits that the unusual look had a psychological effect on him.

He says: “You see yourself, you see the haircut. You don’t realise that it’s affecting you in a very delicate way, through your own psyche.

“What happened to me was that after a couple of weeks, I was a little bit – a little bit – strange to myself. There was something that was not familiar. It was like, ‘What am I doing here?’”

Entertainmentwise

If you check out the mop he’s sporting in the movie, it’s less the hairstyle that’s acting as a contraceptive and more the serial killer demeanor. Even the sexiest of men can’t really pull off a pick up line that goes something like “Hey baby, how about we go back to your place for a little love, before I cut you into tiny pieces with an axe I sharpened just for you? For you, baby.”

Another interesting little tidbit I picked up from the film is that apparently Javier Bardem knew very little English before he took on the Oscar-nominated role of Anton in No Country For Old Men. I haven’t seen this movie yet, but I’m getting more and more interested the more I hear about it. Except it looks violent and scary and I couldn’t even sit through Harry Potter and the three headed dogs without freaking out. At which point my five year old told me “Mum, it’s just a dog.” Somehow I’m not thinking that No Country For Old Men is going to be an appropriate movie to take him to for comfort.
