Did Jude Law’s hairline get Photoshopped in new Dior ads?

lawcloseup

Despite Jude Law’s manwh-ring ways, I still have some affection for the guy. Mainly because I still think he’s a good actor, and I still think he’s pretty. Granted, I don’t really want to meet him or actually have sex with him, but I love to look at pretty pictures of him, and I have enjoyed that activity for many years. So it is as a Jude Law-watcher that I know my boy’s hairline is sketchy. Thankfully, he hasn’t opted for “The Piven” which would include gross looking hair plugs and denial. Jude instead just plays up his pretty, dandy side as his hairline retreats.

Anyway, the header photo is a close-up of Jude Law’s newest ad as the face of Dior Homme Sport. Jude has represented the brand for a while, and it took me a second to figure out why they looked weird to me – it looks like Jude has grown back some hair, yes? Entertainmentwise noted: “In past campaigns Jude’s lack of baldness has ignited rumors that the actor either had a hair transplant or the photos retouched.” I don’t know about past campaigns, but this one definitely looks retouched. His hairline looks all blurry, like someone was drunk when they were trying to “fix” his hairline.

Meanwhile, the New York Post also snarked about the general idea of Law being the face of a cologne: “the man doesn’t scream, ‘I’m clean! Smell like me!’ Which is kinda his whole appeal — dirty, sleazy, smells like bourbon.” I don’t know about that! When Jude turns it on, that motherf-cker turns it ON, you know? When he tries, he looks heavenly. Otherwise, he just looks like any other balding womanizer.

Here’s a photo of Jude with it turned on at the Paris premiere of Sherlock Holmes. Note the hairline!

Are Jude Law & Sienna Miller engaged again?
"Alfie" World Premiere - Arrivals

Sources out of Britain are claiming that Jude Law and Sienna Miller are on the verge of getting engaged again! Is this good news? I’m not sure. Yes, we’ll have one of our prettiest couples back together again and we’ll be throwing in a dash of old-school engagement drama, so that might be nice. But the years that Jude and Sienna have spent apart have not been kind to either of them. So it’s interesting that the “sources” doing the talking attribute some funny sentiments to both Jude and Sienna. Apparently, Jude “needs a good woman to look after him.” Translation: If I don’t have a girlfriend, I’ll screw anything that moves, and I’m exhausted. As for Sienna, apparently she’s “fed up of the single life”. Translation: Sienna’s married “boyfriend” went back to his wife.

JUDE Law and Sienna Miller could be ready to tie the knot after agreeing to commit to each other.

Actor Jude Law, who first got engaged to Sienna Miller in 2004, has rekindled his romance with the actress in recent months and is now ready to make her his fiancee again.

A source said: “Sienna was always the one. And now she is back in his life he never wants to let her go again. Jude did some serious thinking over Christmas in Britain with his ex-wife Sadie [Frost] and the kids. And he realises just how important family life is to him.”

“He needs a good woman to look after him. Sienna’s fed up of the single life and wants to be with Jude for good.”

Sienna’s family are believed to be preparing themselves for a big announcement in the coming weeks.

The source told the Daily Mirror: “It’s only a matter of time before Jude pops the question. He and Sienna have never been happier together.”

Jude and Sienna spent the festive period on the Caribbean island of Barbados together with his three children, Rafferty, Iris and Rudy, from his marriage to Sadie.

Last year, Jude became a father for the fourth time after American model Samantha Burke fell pregnant following a brief relationship.

[From OK! Magazine UK]

I’m going to be cautiously optimistic and say that Sienna and Jude getting re-engaged might be a good thing for both of them. I know for sure that Sienna would do better with some stability in her love life, and it might improve her image, which took a big hit over the past few years as her public affair with Balthazar Getty went on and on. As for Jude, does he really benefit from getting serious with Sienna again? Eh. Maybe. Some stability wouldn’t hurt him either, but I still think he’s going to be f-cking everything that isn’t nailed down.

Jude Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost goes naked in Grazia

sadie-frost-grazia

From what little I know about Sadie Frost, she seems pretty cool. Maybe not the best person over all, but she’s a hell of a lot more interesting than many of the cookie-cutter celebrities that take up so much dead space. Sadie is known as many things – an actress, the ex-wife of Jude Law and mother to his three oldest children, and as a cougar extraordinaire. Now, I know many people hate the use of “cougar”. But I think it applies here, because Sadie was doing it before women like her were called cougars. Sadie met Jude in 1994, when she was a 29-year-old actress with a husband and a child. Jude was 22 years old and about to break into the big time. She saw his potential not only as an actor, but as a husband, and after she divorced her first husband, she and Jude were happy until 2003, when they divorced.

Since then, Sadie makes the British tabloids consistently for her on-again-off-again relationships with younger men, for her friendships with other high profile celebrities, like Kate Moss and Daniel Craig, and for the occasional orgy. It seems that following her latest breakup, Sadie decided to pose nude for Grazia Magazine (which is a British tabloid magazine), and the photo is… quite nice, actually.

After a string of celebrities appearing on magazine covers photoshopped to within an inch of their lives, it is refreshing to hear that one star has ordered her pictures not be retouched.

It is even more admirable that Sadie Frost, who is best known for her partying days with Kate Moss and marriages to Jude Law and Gary Kemp, has also agreed to do the pictures naked.

Luckily for the 44-year-old mother-of-four, she has few blemishes to worry about.

But she also admitted: ‘I’m in my forties. I can’t believe it happened. I can’t make myself look any younger but I can do what I can to make myself look the best I can.’

Sadie, who is a vegetarian and who eats healthily, said she had been tempted in the past to look into surgery on her under-eye bags but said she now uses frozen peas on them instead.

The actress, model and designer, is now single after ending her relationship with Jackson Scott, who was 14 years her junior.

She was previously married to Gary Kemp (they split in 1995) and Jude Law (they divorced in 2003) and has also suffered from post-natal depression.

In 2002, her father David Vaughan also fell ill.

‘I couldn’t eat… I went down to about 7 stone and it was a very unhealthy place for me. I dealt with my sadness, my loss, my grief by going out drinking and partying. Everyone has an opinion. You may not be doing the right thing but you’re just doing anything to get through the pain.’

Sadie, who starred in a one-woman show last year, is appearing on stage in Fool For Love and Richard III in the next few weeks.

[From The Daily Mail]

As much as I enjoy Jude and Sienna together again, I’ve always secretly hoped that Sadie and Jude would end up back together. They make a lot of sense together, and I think he was at his best professionally and personally when he was with Sadie. Allegedly, they are still close, and I think Sadie still is a big part of his life. And you know what? Jude has done a lot worse. He should go back to her!

Jude Law promises Samantha Burke that he’ll meet their love child
Premiere Of "Sherlock Holmes" -Arrivals

Usually, I wouldn’t have given a second look to this tabloid report from The News of the World (via Showbiz Spy), but I think this one might be on the up-and-up. Apparently, Jude Law called his baby-mama Samantha Burke on Christmas Day and made a promise to visit their daughter Sophia for the first time “within a few weeks.” Previously, Jude seemed to want to “forget” his fourth child, but maybe he had a few drinks on Christmas and decided to check in on his baby-mama. Now, first of all, I believe this story because The News of the World reports that one of Samantha Burke’s friends told them the information (which has happened before), and because this information comes couched in Burke’s well-documented sketchiness. The friend also told the News: “She told us they would get back together but I think Jude just feels a responsibility to his daughter. Sam is also considering moving to London. It could be the career chance she wanted.” Yep. Sounds like my working theory on Samantha Burke – that the girl is batsh-t crazy and obsessed with forcing a relationship between herself and Jude.

JUDE Law has finally agreed to meet his lovechild.

The British actor has arranged to visit daughter Sophia — the result of a brief romance with model Samantha Burke — in Florida. The tot was born in September 2009.

Burke, 25, bragged to friends the Sherlock Holmes star phoned at Christmas to arrange a visit “within a few weeks”.

“She’s over the moon. She was hurt he had not seen Sophia,” a source told British newspaper the News of The World.

Sam, the insider said, hopes she can rekindle her romance with Jude — even though he is back with former flame Sienna Miller.

“She told us they would get back together but I think Jude just feels a responsibility to his daughter,” revealed the insider.

“Sam is also considering moving to London. It could be the career chance she wanted.”

Jude has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

[From Showbiz Spy]

I think Jude is a tool for many reasons involving this sketchy situation, but I don’t think Samantha is any kind of angel, or a wronged woman in any sense. I think she got what she wanted – a piece of Jude, a connection to him, a claim to some kind of fame. Personally, I don’t blame Jude for wanting to distance himself from Samantha, but I do think they should be able to work out some way he can be part of little Sophia’s life. That poor kid. Seriously.

Jude Law: being good never helped me, women like “bad boys”

infphoto_1147517

Jude Law has been having a surprisingly good few weeks. He’s back with Sienna Miller, who is probably the closest thing Jude has to a soulmate. His supporting/lead turn as Dr. “Hotson” Watson was rewarded with a huge box office, and a Sherlock Holmes sequel is now pretty much definite. And he didn’t take too much of a hit when he managed to forget his fourth child (with random baby-mama Samantha Burke) while on The Late Show. Oh, and he still hasn’t met his fourth child. So does that make it a good month? I have no idea.

Anyway, as part of Sherlock’s promotion, Jude sat down for an interesting interview with Parade Magazine. I’ve never really heard Jude talk this way – he discusses how he’s never had any luck being a “good boy” and that “women like bad boys.” Jude also acknowledges what I think of as his self-defeating nature – just when his career in back on track, he screws up in his personal life. Jude says: “People seem more interested in setting someone up as this bad person, and that disheartens me a little. We all mess up, but we’re equally capable of making it better, of healing wounds.” Aw. Now I feel for him a little.

Sherlock Holmes gave him his start.
“My first job or second job was on TV in the Sherlock Holmes TV series. I played a stable boy. It was much more staid and cerebral, nothing like what Robert and I do. We play Holmes and Watson getting their boots dirty and their knuckles sore and it was fun. I was very confident in Guy’s vision of how he wanted to attack this beloved legacy with a contemporary twist. If we felt a little pressure that was good thing. It just amps you up a bit.”

Bonding with Downey.
“Robert and I really did have a rapport. It was very much like Holmes and Watson, who were a team. We all have friends in our lives who dare us to do and go places that we wouldn’t necessarily want to go in our lives. But when you do, after you experience it, sometimes you feel more fulfilled. And the two of them together are exactly that. That’s what they did for each other. And there was some in that in my relationship with Robert.”

As for relationships with the opposite sex…
“I think women like bad boys. That’s been my experience. I just think it’s kind of a given. You know, at a certain age you figure out what works for you and being a good boy never worked for me. And if you’re a bad boy, they like it. But, eventually, you have to grow up and realize relationships are hard work. It’s like cultivating anything. They need attention.”

So cut him a little slack about his past.
“People seem more interested in setting someone up as this bad person, and that disheartens me a little. We all mess up, but we’re equally capable of making it better, of healing wounds. It’s just a matter of keeping your head on straight. There’s a downside to every life. There’s a downside to every career. And the downside to my career is the attention I get for what I do. But you learn to deal with it. It’s like a fly buzzing around your head. You just have to learn to ignore the fly.”

What’s really important.
“Being a daddy is what counts. I’ve been busy rehearsing that in real life for more than 10 years. I used to sleep until noon, but it’s not so bad to have to get up at 7 and give them breakfast. My daughter made me realize that if there’s anything that’s going to make a man of you, it’s having your will broken by a little girl.”

Recovering from Hamlet.
“There’s nothing that prepares you for reading it for the first time, when you realize you’re playing the part. But once you get on stage you feel better. Kenneth Branagh directed me and he’s played Hamlet four times. He told me, ‘The first thing you realize, when you take on the role of Hamlet, is that you are Hamlet. There is no character Hamlet. Every actor who plays Hamlet is themselves, so Hamlet becomes you.’ That sounds kind of terribly romantic and exciting, but also bloody terrifying. But I have to say Kenneth was right. It was daunting, and I’m ready for a rest, but it was great to be back on stage, especially on Broadway.”

Some advice he took to heart.
“My dad used to tell me that if I was going to be late for something, then I have to enjoy being late. I think it means if you’re running late, don’t get uptight and worry about it, sit back and enjoy the day until you get to the place you’re going. So I always thought that was a great piece of advice.”

[From Parade]

I want to like Jude, you know? When I’m watching him in films, sometimes I’m just blown away by him. He was/is a very talented actor, but I just wish he didn’t come across so skeezy in interviews and in life. I mean, “bad boy”? Seriously? What are we, 13 years old? Grow up and man up. If he’s going to stay with Sienna, that sounds like an okay plan. It might keep him from impregnating random women… except probably not. Sigh… oh, Jude. I will continue to have mixed feelings about you.

Did Sienna Miller & Jude Law have a pregnancy scare?

infphoto_1147139

Here are some new photos of Sienna Miller, Jude Law and Jude’s kids on holiday, sans Jude’s ex and baby-mama Sadie Frost. God only knows where Sadie is. Probably sipping a mojito somewhere and preparing for a nap. I have to say, it is nice to see Jude and Sienna back together. They make sense together. It’s like revisiting a simpler, prettier time.

Anyway, Jude and Sienna are back on, fueled by a steady stream of alcohol, food and… let’s say blonde highlights. They’ve been dating again for something like two months. They haven’t really been clever about it, if they were trying to avoid publicity, which I doubt. This whole “their privates are soul mates” is the jumping off point for this report from Star Magazine - apparently, their reunion might have involved quite a bit of unprotected sex, and Sienna had something of a pregnancy scare:

Jude Law and Sienna Miller’s back-on romance was tested by a pregnancy scare, Star has learned! The couple have been moving full steam ahead since they reconciled in early fall after three years apart. They’re planning to live together in Jude’s new $6.9 million NYC apartment and have even discussed getting engaged again.

But in mid-November, “Sienna realized she was late, and she freaked!” an insider reveals. “They’re still working things out, really, and she was afraid that getting pregnant would ruin everything.”

“Jude was really supportive. Sienna even took the home test at his place,” says the source. “It was a false alarm. She was likely just late from the stress of her Broadway show.”

After weathering that together, Jude and Sienna are stronger than ever – and are now in serious nesting mode.

“Fixing up the new place is a total collaboration. Jude is making sure Sienna puts her touch on everything,” says another source. “He’s really big on having state-of-the-art electronics everywhere, but things like the sunken whirlpool tub and walk-in shower were her idea.”

Best of all, with three cozy bedrooms, the apartment has plenty of space for when the pair do decide to start a family. Adds the insider: “The timing wouldn’t have been great for Sienna to get pregnant just yet. But part of her hoped she was.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition, January 4, 2010]

Do you like the part where Star says Jude “let” Sienna take the pregnancy test at his place? What a gentleman, right? I wonder what the plan B was for that one. And something tells me Jude was sweating bullets for that one. God knows he isn’t ready for yet another child he can conveniently forget about. But this has gotten me thinking… what would Sienna and Jude really do if and when she gets knocked up? Would Jude stick around? Probably, for a little while at least. Even though I’m happy Jude and Sienna are back together now, though, I don’t think it’s going to last. They’ve got other loins to conquer.

Robert Downey Jr. told to shut up about homoerotic ‘Holmes’
Premiere Of "Sherlock Holmes" - After Party

Ever since filming began last year on Sherlock Holmes, there have been rumors that director Guy Ritchie and stars Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. were all for infusing the film with a whiff of homoeroticism between Holmes and Dr. Watson. All three men went on the record joking about how they wanted to make the story an affectionate bromance. Now that the Holmes publicity campaign is in full swing, RDJ and Jude are still joking about their bromance, and now the studio is getting twitchy. PopEater’s gossip guy claims that studio executives at Warner Bros are trying to get them to shut up. They want to promote the film as straight-up straight action flick, “not Brokeback Mountain 2.”

Publicists for the upcoming ‘Sherlock Holmes’ movie are very concerned that its star, Robert Downey Jr., can’t stop hinting that the great dapper detective’s relationship with Dr. Watson may involve more than just solving crime.

“When Robert joked with Letterman that they might be homos, Warner Brother executives died,” laughed one industry insider who believes Downey is messing with studio bigwigs.

“The studio wants to position this as an action-packed adventure, not ‘Brokeback Mountain 2,’” my insider joked.

Yet fear not — I have been told the film will not disappoint any hardcore Holmes fans, and if the world’s sneakiest sleuth does have a secret love that dare not speak its name, he doesn’t kiss and tell in this film. There is, however, a good amount of man-on-man bare-chested fighting, so make of that what you will.

[From PopEater]

Back in 2007, one of the guys who did publicity for 300 got an award for the way they marketed the film as both a straight-guy action film and a film that could be fully embraced by the gay community. I think it’s nice that RDJ wants to let his gay fan base know that this could be the film for them… but if it’s not a film about oiled muscle men in loincloths, I’ve got to wonder about the crossover potential between “the gay film-going market” (which is still seen as a niche market) and “mainstream audiences”. Although RDJ is half-naked in part of the film… which could mean crossover has been achieved!

Blake Lively must have frozen her ass off at ‘Sherlock Holmes’ premiere

wenn5408294

Here’s Blake Lively at last night’s New York premiere of Sherlock Holmes. I can’t even imagine how cold she was – the whole Eastern corridor is in the midst of a huge cold front, and we’re getting lots of snow today and this weekend. I just checked – it’s hovering around 20 degrees Fahrenheit this morning in New York, so I can only imagine it was in the teens last night for the premiere. The men at the premiere were bundled up in scarves – meanwhile, Blake is prancing around in what basically amounts to a pair of panties and a lace chemise. She looks flawless, though. Great hair and makeup. Perhaps this look would have been better during a warmer season, though.

As many know, I’m a big fan of Blake Lively. I don’t watch Gossip Girl or anything, so I can’t really say I like her for whatever acting chops she has. I think my affection for her is that she’s one of the most interesting girls on the red carpet these days, and because I think she’s very, very pretty, albeit in a surgically altered way. Every day that I see Blake on a new red carpet, I’m happy. She’s likes to show off her T&A, as well as her legs - but rarely in a “look at me, I’m so sexy” Pamela Anderson way. Blake tries to be high fashion while she’s showing off her asset. I appreciate that. That being said, I think she should cover the hell up! I feel like her mom – but she’s seriously going to catch something if she doesn’t start wearing more clothes.

As far as the rest of the red carpet, everybody else at least made some concessions to the cold weather. Robert Downey Jr. wore a fabulous brown suit which looked great on him. Rachel McAdams opted for a strapless jumpsuit that was kind of blah. Jonny Lee Miller was there too! He looks amazing, and he was probably there to support his bestie Jude. Mark Strong is a total cueball now, but I still find him sexy. And Guy Ritchie’s date was his son with Madonna, Rocco. Rocco looked uncomfortable, which makes me feel for the poor kid.

Jude Law forgets that he has a fourth child

wenn5408163

Jude Law was on Letterman last night to promote Sherlock Holmes. Throughout his meager publicity trail for the film, no journalist has been asking Jude any questions about the Samantha Burke/baby-daddy situation. It’s my understanding that the “no questions about my fourth child” rule is something established before the interview, probably by Jude’s publicist to whatever media outlet. So it’s interesting that David Letterman is the one to come the closest to asking about it (video here). When David and Jude were talking about holiday plans, David asked how many children Jude had, and Jude responded “three”. Well… he has three kids with Sadie Frost, and one with Samantha. Ugh.

Jude Law is quite the super-sleuth when it comes to helping solve mysteries as Dr. John Watson in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes film—but when it comes to playing the role of doting dad, however, Jude can’t seem to remember his lines.

Speaking with David Letterman Thursday, Law told Letterman he had a fun beach vacation planned for his children this holiday season.

When Letterman asked him how many kids he has, Law responded, “Three.”

Law does have three children with his former wife, Sadie Frost, but — Oops! — there’s a fourth he forgot to mention: baby Sophia, who was born September 22 to Law’s one-time fling, model Samantha Burke.

Hopefully, he remembers to keep those checks coming. Sherlock Holmes opens in theaters Christmas Day.

[From Radar]

Here’s the thing – I don’t blame Jude for not wanting to talk about the Burke situation, or to force journalists to not ask any questions, or even to try to distance himself from the baby-mama, Samantha, who seems a little crazy. But on the off chance Jude does get asked about it, I would expect him to at least admit that there is a fourth child in the mix. It’s just an a-hole move to act like the baby doesn’t exist. It’s not the baby’s fault that mama is a crazy and daddy can’t keep it zipped.

Jude Law & Sienna Miller spent Thanksgiving together

infphoto_160627

Last week, the New York Daily News ran a report detailing how Jude Law and Sienna Miller are probably bangin’ again. They’re both on Broadway right now – in separate plays. Apparently, they’ve been seeing each other, reminiscing, getting drunk, and you know, getting busy. The two were once engaged, for those who may remember. They got together in late 2003/early 2004, got engaged around Christmas 2004, and then the nanny thing happened in 2005. After that, they were on and off for about a year. By all accounts, they did remain friends, and Sienna brings Jude up in pretty much every interview since. Now Star Magazine has a report that Sienna and Jude spent Thanksgiving together… getting pizza. There better be turkey on that pizza!

Turkey wasn’t on the menu for Jude Law and Sienna Miller during their dinner date on Thanksgiving — but pizza and PDA were!

The Brits, who are both living in Manhattan while appearing in roles on Broadway, celebrated the American holiday together at the Italian restaurant Emporio in the Nolita section of New York City.

Arriving just after midnight on Thursday, Jude and Sienna — who are starring in Hamlet and After Miss Julie, respectively — took a table, where they ordered pizza — and a $350 bottle of wine.

“They were offered a private table in the back, but Jude and Sienna turned it down,” an insider tells Star. “They had no problem flaunting their love right in the middle of the restaurant. They definitely looked like they were head-over-heels for each other.”

Although their reps denied recent reports that they’d reconciled, the couple — who broke off their engagement in 2006 following his cheating scandal with his kids’ nanny — didn’t skimp on public displays of affection.

“They came in holding hands and kept touching each other and kissing throughout the entire meal,” says the insider. “They only had eyes for each other!”

Jude picked up the check — leaving $100 tip — and they left together in the same car.

The actor also recently made headlines when model Samantha Burke, whom he briefly romanced last year, gave birth to his daughter, Sophia, in September. Several weeks after the baby’s birth, Samantha told a British magazine that Jude hadn’t travelled to Florida to meet the child, nor had he sent any presents.

He has three other children with his ex-wife, Sadie Frost.

[From Star Magazine]

Yeah, speaking of Jude’s fourth child (that we know of), he will eventually meet baby Sophia, right? I mean he can’t keep making excuses about it, can he? I realize he doesn’t want a relationship with Stalker McBaby-Mama, but he could pop into Florida and spend two seconds with his child. Instead, he spends all of his free time filling in for Balthy Getty. Jude’s better than that! But not by much.
