About a month ago, OK! reported that Kirsten Dunst, 26, and Drew Barrymore’s recent ex, Justin Long, 30, were seen kissing out in NY and it looked like it was one of those morning-after hazy bleary love hangover situations. There’s a real sense of elation when you hook up with someone, have great sex and then wander around and do things with them the next day. It’s like the promise of a serious relationship is laid out before you, fulfilling and perfect. Reality is usually a lot different once those endorphins wear off, but it sounds like Kirsten and Justin are still in that “I’ve waited for this person my whole life” stage that gives everything a rosy postcoital glow. The two were spotted holding hands and making out while waiting in line:

Now it’s Justin Long’s turn on the Kirsten Dunst train. The “Mac guy” was snogging Dunst, who’s been with Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Hartnett, Andy Samberg and Orlando Bloom, in L.A. at Sunset Junction. The duo “were making out hard-core while waiting in line for margaritas,” says our spy. “They were holding hands and were all over each other.” We give it two weeks before they’re over each other, period.

Justin just went with it when Drew Barrymore was telling anyone who would listen how amazing their relationship was. He strikes me as the serious boyfriend type and if Kirsten is open to it I bet they’ll be together for a few months at least. She’s been through a lot recently and deserves some happiness. They should keep the PDA in the house, though. Holding hands and kissing affectionately is one thing, but there’s no reason to make out in public.

Brokenhearted Justin Long has dropped out of his next upcoming movie because he can’t deal with being around ex-girlfriend Drew Barrymore. Justin pulled out of the film female roller derby Whip It, which Drew is directing. And starts filming on Monday. The news just came out today, though it’s possible he withdrew earlier. But if not, Drew’s going to be doing quite the last minute scrambling.

Drew Barrymore apparently whipped him good.

A source tells E! News that Justin Long, who remains “distraught” over being dumped by the Charlie’s Angels star, has dropped out of the roller derby comedy “Whip It!” which marks Barrymore’s feature directorial debut.

“He couldn’t stand working with her and not being with her,” the Long insider says. “He’s too upset.”

Adds our source: “She dumped him. She was hot and cold. One minute she was in love with him and the next she wanted to break up with him.

“He is so distraught over the split that he dropped out of the movie.”

Poor Justin. I truly feel badly for him, and I can understand not being able to work with someone that broke your heart. Especially less than a month later. I think I’d need quite a while before I could be okay being around that person. After spending a year of your life with someone, feelings don’t generally go away in three weeks time.

There was a lot of speculation about who broke up with who, and some blogs reported that Justin broke up with Drew because she was drinking too much. E! makes it sound like it was definitely Drew who did the dumping, but no matter who ended it, it makes sense that they both need some time and space to get over it.

I’m constantly amazed by the seemingly random hookups between celebrities, single or otherwise attached to other people. The young celebrities seem particularly prone to in-dating, which makes sense because they’re the ones who are less likely to settle down.

Kirsten Dunst, 26, was spotted out looking bleary eyed and walking hand in hand early in the morning with Justin Long, 30, whose separation with girlfriend Drew Barrymore was just announced. It’s assumed that since Kirsten and Justin - that has a cute ring to it - were together in the morning that they spent the night together. And they were holding hands and kissing so it’s not likely that one of them just crashed on the couch because they were two drunk to drive home.

“Justin was holding Kirsten’s hand while walking around downtown NYC in the SoHo area,” an eyewitness tells OK!. “They looked like they had stayed out all night and Justin had bloodshot eyes, but Kirsten was all over him and kept leaning in to kiss him.”

Perhaps they were heading to the 30-year-old’s new digs — Justin recently purchased a $2.4 million bachelor pad in the Big Apple.

The scene was in stark contrast to Justin’s disposition less than a week ago when he was still reeling from his split with Drew. While out at Westside Tavern on July 12, the actor looked “heartbroken,” a source tells OK!.

Dunst was most recently casually dating a 25 year-old DJ/actor named Matt Creed. In Touch reported last week that they were seen eating out one day and out at a bar together a few days later.

Kirsten tends to hold her relationships close to her chest so it’s not likely that we’ll be hearing gushing reports about how great Long is or seeing the two of them hit the paparazzi targets like he did with Barrymore. It seemed like Barrymore was the one who wanted to announce her relationship with Long to the world and that he just happily went along with it. He seems like a great guy and he doesn’t strike me as the grungy rocker type that Dunst seems to usually date. Maybe he’s just the kind of guy that she needs now. I think I see the faintest hint of a smile on her face in these pictures.

Drew Barrymore’s rep has confirmed that she and boyfriend Justin Long have split up, after dating for almost a year. I don’t know why, but of all the celebrity splits of late this one surprises me the most. Justin and Drew were just one of those couples that seemed really, really happy together. Like, ridiculously happy. They made a lot of sense together, and seemed to complement each other. I thought they’d been together a lot longer than a year… it was just something about their interactions. I can’t really put my finger on it. Of course Drew’s rep also said they remain good friends, which could actually be true since they were friends for seven years before they got together.

Maybe Drew Barrymore prefers PCs after all. The 50 First Dates star and her frequent PDA partner Justin Long have parted ways after nearly a year of dating, Barrymore’s rep confirms to E! News.

A source close to the pair told Us Weekly, which first reported the breakup, that they remain friends.

At least they’ll have some alone time before they have to simultaneously walk the red carpet at the premiere of the relationship-book-inspired ensemble comedy He’s Just Not That Into You, which hits theaters Feb. 6, 2009.

In March, she told Vogue that she was so happy, “my cheeks hurt.”

“They’re two peas in a pod, they’re made for each other,” Barrymore’s Charlie’s Angels costar Sam Rockwell told People just last month. “They’re like Mr. and Mrs. Warmth.”

Hopefully Drew and Justin are staying actual friends and not PR friends. Or that red carpet walk is going to be really awkward. They both seem like pretty happy, easy-going people, so you’d think that if anyone had a chance of being cool with each other it be the two of them.

When Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, that guy from the AppleMac ads, were in Mexico for Drew’s birthday in February Drew reportedly asked about possible wedding locations.

The ‘50 First Dates’ actress reportedly looked at possible wedding venues while enjoying a recent holiday at Mexico’s Casa Magna hotel, on Tulum Beach.

Justin, 29, organised the romantic getaway as a 33rd birthday present for Drew, who reached the age on February 22.

A source is quoted on the Daily Mail website as saying: “Justin booked a cleanse package for her and they spent time having massages and doing yoga.

“The retreat hosts intimate weddings and Drew enquired how much it would cost for a private ceremony in the summer.”

The couple started dating after meeting on the set of ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’, and have been virtually inseparable ever since.

This isn’t really a concrete prediction of marriage, since Drew could have been asking for a friend, and the summer wedding could be in any year, not necessarily 2008.

Drew has been married twice before. Her first marriage, with Welsh bartender Jeremy Thomas, lasted just 39 days. Her second marriage, to comedian Tom Green, lasted three months. Hopefully third time’s a charm for Drew, who has had a steady relationship history in recent years. Her last relationship with Fabrizio Moretti ended in early 2007 after almost five years together.

When Justin was asked during a gushing interview on Oprah about what attracts him to Drew, he replied “She smells great… (and) she’s the most compassionate person I’ve ever met.”

Note by Celebitchy: We reported on Monday that Justin was supposedly busted at a club making out with another woman, so it seemed like either these two have cooled it lately or that they’ve already broken up. Then Drew and Justin were spotted out over the weekend twice - hiking and going to the movies. They’re probably doing fine, and if that other story was true they’ve patched it up.

Since this story originated in The Daily Mail, it’s probably either not true or based on a simple question Drew asked while down in Mexico about the weddings held at their resort. She could be hasty a third time and jump into marriage, and she’s certainly thrown herself into this relationship, but hopefully they’ll take their time with making such a huge commitment.

Update: Hollywood.tv had this video of Drew and Justin kissing while out to eat, and says that the National Enquirer reports that they’re planning to marry in the Caribbean.

33 year-old twice-divorced Drew Barrymore has been dating her co-star in the upcoming film He’s Just Not That Into You, Justin Long, 29, for about eight or nine months. The two went public with their relationship in January and have since not been shy about stepping out together or talking to the press about their relationship. They’ve been photographed kissing on the red carpet, and Drew said in the March issue of Vogue that her “cheeks hurt” from how happy she was with Justin.

Drew might just wish she held her relationship a little closer to her blushing chest when she hears this latest news - her boyfriend Justin was seen making out with another woman at a bar. It’s sounds as if it could be a true story, but you have to consider the source and assume that it’s possibly hearsay or fabrication:

During a boys’ night out at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood on April 16, “Justin arrived at 12:45 a.m. and he and his four guy friends seemed really drunk,” an onlooking at the club tells In Touch. “Then, all of a sudden, Justin started dirty dancing and making out with a girl.” A Bar Lubitsch employee confirms, “He seemed to be having a great time.”

Justin clearly wasn’t acting like a guy in a committed relationship. “He did not seem embarassed about kissing that girl,” says the onlooker, who adds, “Drew is much prettier.” At the end of the night, Justin and the mystery brunette, who appeared to be in her 20s, left separately.

If this is true, I feel badly for Drew. It doesn’t matter how drunk you are - there’s no excuse for making out with someone else especially in public! At least Justin didn’t leave with the girl, and maybe he got in a fight with Drew or something and was blowing off steam with his friends. Hopefully he told her the truth about what happened and made it up to her. These two are really cute together and they seem to genuinely be in love. You want them to weather what was probably the first storm in their relationship and last. Drew doesn’t have the best track record with relationships to say the least, but she seems to have found a decent guy in Justin and I hope he didn’t blow it.

Update: Drew and Justin are going strong, and were seen out together several times this weekend.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have progressed in their relationship from hiding from the paps to showing up at events together, even holding hands and kissing on the red carpet. They also weren’t shy about making out in Drew’s car for the paps on her 33^rd birthday on Friday, where they celebrated with dinner at celeb hangout Mr. Chow and then headed over to the Chateau Marmot for a romantic evening together. They had a party for Drew with friends the night before. These two met last summer on the set of Drew’s upcoming romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You , in which Long stars, and took pains to keep their relationship quiet until January.

Drew is featured looking glam on the cover of the March issue of Vogue, and she talks a little about her relationship with Long in the accompanying interview. The twice-divorced Drew said that she feels immature when it comes to her relationships, but gushed about how happy she is with Justin. Somehow Vogue was talking to Justin too, because People.com reports that he sings her praises in that article. They also say that Drew knew Justin for seven years before their relationship became more than friends:

As for her reaction to Long, a perennially smiling Barrymore says, “My cheeks hurt, I’m so happy.” Adds Long, 29: “She makes my cheeks hurt, too.”

It wasn’t always so. While Barrymore considers herself secure in terms of dealing with her profession and her friendships, as far up-close-and-personal relationships are concerned, “for some reason, I have not grown up to the speed I am elsewhere,” she says.

It’s hard to find the right person for you, and although it does seem strange that Drew’s marriages lasted less than six months combined it seems like the mistake she made was marrying those particular guys, not being with them. She was with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti for years, and then was said to be dating Sophia Coppola’s ex Spike Jonze last year before hooking up with Long. She shouldn’t put herself down by saying she’s somehow less “grown up” because her relationships didn’t work out. You live and learn and sometimes the timing is wrong or you realize it’s not the right person for you. Just don’t get married again until you have a good track record with someone and are sure about it.

In January, 2007 Drew told Harper’s Bazaar about how great her relationship was with Fabrizio Moretti, saying “You need to reinvent your relationship if you want to continue being together. Right now I’m in a phase of ‘I’m not even your girlfriend. I’m your best friend who is madly in love with you.’ I’m really interested in watching him right now. The longest I’ve ever been with someone was like two to three years, so I’m in uncharted waters.” They were reported to have broken up by the time the issue was out. Maybe she’s right that she needs to be careful in that department.

29 year-old Long is best known as the Mac guy in the “Get a Mac” commercials, and stars as the voice of Alvin in the Alvin and The Chipmunks movie. He was educated at Vassar and hails from Fairfield, CT. People reports that Drew’s friends approve of him and say he’s a great guy.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, who’ve been photographed trying to exit restaurants from the back and who seemed like they were going to great lengths to conceal their relationship, were photographed kissing and hugging on the red carpet at the LA premiere of “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show” last night. Drew looks a little tipsy. Star notes this week in what seems like a recycled story that Drew has been supposedly partying too hard. They seem to come out with a story that she’s partying too hard every time she gets photographed out with a drink in her hand. She doesn’t look entirely sober here, but it could be the look of love instead of inebriation. Star reports that Drew and Justin “were all over each other” at a Pussycat Dolls show on January 17.

Drew Barrymore is said to be pushing her “Get a Mac” boyfriend, Justin Long, to propose despite her bad track record with marriages and the fact that she’s only been dating Long for five months. 32 year-old Drew was married to LA bartender Jeremy Thomas from March, 1994 to February, 1995. She was just 19 at the time. Her next marriage, to obnoxious comic Tom Green, lasted from July, 2001 to October, 2002. That’s how long the marriages officially lasted, but she split with both husbands well before their divorces were final of course. The National Enquirer points out that her two marriages lasted less than six months combined.

Justin took Drew to Thanksgiving with his family in Connecticut, and it sounds like these two are getting serious while managing to avoid the spotlight. They also took a nice vacation together in Florida right before Christmas. Star reports that they checked into “the Delgano hotel in Miami Beach on December 19th after spending the weekend in the Florida Keys.”

Justin has a decent career ahead of him. Although he’s best known at the Mac guy in those commercials, he also stars as the voice of Alvin in the Alvin and The Chipmunks movie. Justin and Drew met this summer on the set of the upcoming film she’s producing, He’s Just Not That Into You, in which he stars.

There was a big deal made out of a night Drew had out with friends in Toronto in early November. She was photographed drinking a beer (shocker) and talking to some guy at a bar. She looked like she was whispering in his ear but maybe she had to yell because the music was too loud and that’s why she was so close to him. We haven’t heard much about Drew since so it sounds like she’s settling into a nice routine with her boyfriend and that they’ve managed not to go shopping at high end boutiques or eat at the paparazzi-swarmed restaurants.

Maybe the third time will be the charm for Drew and she’ll achieve a life of domestic tranquility away from the flashbulbs. She seems to realize what she needs to do so that people won’t needlessly speculate about her, with this recent minor exception.

It sounds like Drew Barrymore is having a damn good time this summer. She’s been linked with three different guys, and there wasn’t one story of a painful breakup. A lot of people thought she might be in a long term relationship with director Spike Jonze as she was first seen out with him in March and they were spotted together again in August. They would have seemed like a couple, except Drew was seen holding hands and making out with Zach Braff in July.

And if two emo guys didn’t a good summer make, Drew was making out with Justin Long, the Mac guy who appears in the Mac vs. PC commercials, in Vegas last weekend. It seems like there’s more to it than just a quick hookup, because the pair were out together in LA earlier last week.

They are starring together in the new movie Drew is producing, He’s Just Not That Into You, so maybe what started out as business relationship turned into something more:

Last week there was a rumor that Drew was trying to hook up Jennifer Aniston with their other costar in the He’s Just Not That Into You movie, Bradley Cooper. Cooper was said to have invited Aniston over for a romantic dinner at his house on Drew’s suggestion, but not much more seems to have come of that. Cooper was also supposedly dating Cameron Diaz last week when they were seen out together too.

Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Ben Affleck, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Kevin Connolly are also in the He’s Just Not that Into You movie. Connelly and Affleck are married and ostensibly out of the running for co-star hookups, (not that it’s stopped other celebrities) but there are plenty of possibilities of hookups on this film set. According to IMDB it’s “in production” and I’m not sure if it’s even started filming yet. It usually seems like a bad idea to date people you’re working with because you’re stuck with them every day no matter what happens to the relationship. At least actors and actresses have the advantage of being on a limited time schedule so they know they’re only going to have to see the person for a few months and at some events afterwards.

A very wise older friend of mine once offered this advice about dating guys at work, “Don’t shit where you eat.” I know she didn’t come up with it or anything, but it usually comes to mind when I hear of situations like these.

I wonder who will end up avoiding each other at the premiere and if there will be any drama on set.
