Leighton Meester has already made headlines this week for suing her mom for blowing her money (that Leighton provided to take care of her younger brother) on botox and weaves. As far as her social life goes, however, we rarely hear anything other than the occasional rubfest with Garrett Hedlund, which hasn’t happened since last fall. Now it seems that Leighton has a new man in her life; that is, Drew Barrymore’s ex, Justin Long:

The romance between Leighton Meester and “Mac guy” Justin Long is heating up. The pair are currently in the city, where Meester is filming “Gossip Girl.” A source told us, “Justin has a place on the Lower East Side, and they have been spending a lot of time together.” In May, the pair were spotted sharing a romantic dinner in LA before leaving restaurant La Poubelle holding hands. Long split with Drew Barrymore last year. Meester played Long’s girlfriend who leaves him at the beginning of the 2010 movie “Going the Distance.” Their reps didn’t get back to us.

Well, this came out of left field, but these two would probably make a very cute and sufficiently well-matched couple. As for Long, he hasn’t been seriously linked to anyone since the on-off thing with Drew finally ended last year, and although there was one incidence of a ScarJo sighting, the two were quick to deny any romantic involvement. Justin seems like a loyal and nice enough guy though, so I hope that this is true for Leighton’s sake as well. Especially if she loves receiving oral sex, you know?

Last night, Scarlett Johansson and Justin Long went to a concert together. They they left separately though, with ScarJo trying to hide behind a Dick Tracy getup. But sources are saying that they were definitely at the concert together, but it’s not clear as to whether it was a “friends” situation or a “ZOMG boning!” situation. Since Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds split in December, rumors have continued to surface about their respective love lives.

Reynolds has been repeatedly (wrongly) linked to Sandra Bullock, while the tabs have put Johansson with a slew of different men.

First the actress was said to be moving on with Justin Timberlake (nope); then she was linked to Jason Sudeikis (not true); and now it’s Justin Long.

RadarOnline speculates that the two He’s Just Not That Into You stars are a “new couple” after they were both photographed separately leaving an Iron & Wine concert in L.A.

But as Johansson’s rep insisted before, the actress is “not dating anyone” right now.

I believe the denial. This time. I didn’t really believe the denial for Jason Sudeikis earlier this week. I think there could be a rebound fling in the cards for Jason and ScarJo, but until I have more evidence, I’ll hold my tongue. But here’s the thing – there are going to be a slew of ScarJo-is-dating-this-dude stories for a while. ScarJo is a “get” for tabloids and for men, and her pre-marriage sexual history was a lot fun. ScarJo was a baller, and I believe she still is down for some fun times, some random hookups, some elevator sex and some throwdowns. But, as LaineyGossip points out, ScarJo has some standards. Justin Long does not meet those standards.

Star Magazine has an interesting interview with Drew Barrymore promoting Going the Distance, which is out in the US starting today. They ask her directly if she’s with her costar Justin Long and she sort-of admits they’re on and off again but says she’ll never tell you when. I’m getting a “friends with benefits” vibe, which is what sometimes happens when you realize that the romantic part isn’t going to work out but you still have a good time together. Or hot breakup sex, it’s hard to tell. Here’s part of what Drew told Star:

What have you learned about how to make a relationship work?
Nothing! In all seriousness, I’m very excited to be in my 30s and not stand on my soapbox and brag about what I know. I’m not in on any brilliant secrets right now.

How can you make a long-distance relationship work?
I know what I would want to make one work, like letters and surprising each other – things that make you feel special, like you’re part of a unit and it’s not a phantom thing.

Where do things stand right now with you and Justin?
We never talk about when we’re together and when we’re not. It never, ever will be addressed. Mystery is sexy. But I definitely think it was a benefit that we knew each other so well. It’s very rare to have such an amazing chemistry with someone. That was such a blessing.

So all those kissing scenes were just part of the job?
I was just lucky he’s a good kisser! The worst is when you’re kissing somebody who’s not and you feel like you’re working on your own. Basically, it was a real team effort!

I’m thinking if it “never will be addressed” she’s ruling out a long term reconciliation, but you never know. She did talk about Justin all the damn time when she first got together with him. In terms of their “chemistry,” not everyone agrees that it translates on screen. I just read a review in US Weekly that trashes their chemistry. US observes “The costars – despite their real-life are-they-or-aren’t-they relationship – lack the crazy spark that’s needed in good romantic comedies.” The movie is getting mediocre reviews overall, with a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Still, I hope it does ok for Drew. I like her and wish her the best. We need more celebrities like Drew who aren’t full of sh*t. I also want to mention that I love how she says that she’s not going to preach about relationships because she doesn’t know anything more than the rest of us.

In another recent interview, Drew tells Stylist Magazine that she hates being alone but she also has trouble long distances relationships like the one she portrays on screen. “The worst part of being single is being alone. But I don’t get the benefit of having any help because I’m in a relationship with a person I never see… so I think sometimes, I feel like I’m just in a weird purgatory. And I have definitely had my freak-outs about that.” It’s all so vague. Is Justin the guy she feels like she’s in a weird purgatory with or is she speaking about a past long distance relationship with him or some other guy? She says she’ll never tell – about Justin at least. We’ll see. This one likes to talk.

At first, I only saw Drew Barrymore’s dress – at last night’s premiere of Going the Distance – from the waist up, and I thought it was a cheap-looking cocktail dress. I was very disappointed, because Drew recently brought the glamour and the beauty to a recent red carpet for Nylon – she looked amazing then, not so much last night. I don’t care for her “growing out the blonde” hair (which needs to be brushed), and now that I’ve seen that the dress is a full-length gown, I still think it looks cheap. Very Vegas showgirl.

As far as Drew’s costar and on-and-off boyfriend Justin Long… well, who knows what’s going on with them? Allegedly, they quietly split up a few months ago, but most people have noted that Justin and Drew seem back “on” for this promotional tour. Friends with benefits? Sure. Especially if the dude loves going downtown, as Justin Long seems to adore. I don’t really find Justin attractive, but he seems like he’s a nice guy, so whatever.

Two more people of note were at the premiere – Christina Applegate and her baby bump in a vivid purple, and Kate Beckinsale. Now, Christina is actually in the movie. Beckinsale is not. But Kate still tried to out-do the stars!

Breaking news, Justin Long got a job that didn’t involve Drew Barrymore! Good for him. He got a part in a “staged reading” of Neil LaBute’s Filthy Talk for Troubled Times: Scenes of Intolerance in New York, and he spoke about his dirty, misogynistic character (is there any other kind when it’s Neil LaBute?) with New York Magazine afterwards. Apparently, Justin’s character doesn’t like to go down on women, and Justin wanted everyone to know he’s cool with cunnilingus. Thank God.

In last night’s staged reading of Neil LaBute’s Filthy Talk for Troubled Times: Scenes of Intolerance at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, Justin Long played a surprisingly filthy role as one of four misogynistic male restaurant patrons bemoaning feminism and cunnilingus and harassing the waitresses (played by Julia Stiles and Alice Eve). We wondered if it was difficult for the boyish actor to cultivate his inner sleazeball.

“Frankly, no. I think it’s just been festering and welling. All that great stuff, that darkness that we repress — it’s nice to be able to release it once in a while. It was very therapeutic.”

But Long pointed out that he didn’t identify with every aspect of his character. “There were parts about certain … well, acts that men supposedly don’t like performing on women that I have very strong feelings against. I would very much argue the opposite.”

So come on, everybody — give Drew Barrymore some credit.

Seriously, when it’s good, it’s good, and when a guy is good at that one thing, you can seriously forgive a lot. I knew a guy… well, nevermind. He was a tool, a douche, and a cheater. And he was short. But that man knew his way around a vadge, and he loved going downtown. I still think about him…sigh. If only he hadn’t been such a jackass. And now we totally know why Justin and Drew keep getting back together and why she’s kept him around. I get it now. Drew is a clever girl.

Have you ever wanted to know what Justin “The Mac Guy” Long looked like as a little kid? What’s that? Not really? Too bad, because apparently Justin made love to Jamie Lee Curtis 14 years ago, and she gave birth to his identical spawn. That’s the only explanation I have for these pictures, taken of Jamie and her two kids, Annie, 23, and Thomas, 13 at last night’s Avatar premiere in Los Angeles. When I wasn’t paying attention and I first saw these photos, I honestly thought “Damn, Jamie is towering over poor Justin Long!”

Annie is working it for the cameras, yes? HuffPo says that she just graduated from college, and my guess is that she has her heart set on some kind of film career. She’s totally playing for cameras! She’s very pretty, but she looks very tall too – six feet tall would be my guess, even making concessions for her heels. She looks a little like one of Meryl Streep’s daughters.

I just can’t get over Thomas/Mini-Justin Long, though. This kid is killing me. He could make a career out of being the Mini-Mac Guy. Maybe Apple will hire Thomas for ads!

This report is from Star Magazine, so of course there’s a good possibility it’s crap. But for some reason, I always believe the rumors about Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. I actually like Drew – even though I think she’s more in love with love than with any guy. I think she’s too good for Justin, and I tend to believe some of the rumors out there that he has a wandering eye (and a wandering wang, if you will). Allegedly, they’ve been having problems for a while, but they’ve continued to show up for each other the past few months. He did a guest spot for Drew’s Saturday night Live hosting gig, and he came to her Whip It premiere. But they haven’t been seen out and about in a while, so it seems people are wondering if they’re on a break or something. Star doesn’t claim they’re broken up – only that Drew told him to move back into his place:

It’s back to the bachelor pad for Justin Long! The “I’m a Mac” guy was booted from girlfriend Drew Barrymore’s four-bedroom Hollywood Hills home in early November, Star has learned.

And though the two are still dating for now, their relationship could be in danger if he doesn’t clean up. “Drew really had it with being Justin’s babysitter at home,” says a source. “And it’s not just that he made a mess, it’s his attitude. He gets mopey and is a big-time couch potato. She isn’t thrilled about seeing this side of him.”

Problems surfaced almost as soon as the pair — who first sparked in summer 2007, split a year later and reconnected last spring — began living together in August. “Drew hadn’t figured Justin to be a slob, but he started acting like a frat boy and left his stuff all over the place and never straightened up after himself,” says the source. “It drove her nuts!”

Drew, 34, finally had enough of the chaotic living situation. But she wasn’t quite ready to call it quits entirely. “She gently told Justin that things would be better between them if he moved back to his own place,” says the source. “Then it would be special when they’re together — they wouldn’t feel like an old married couple.”

The good news? Justin, 31, is trying to change his ways. “It was really the wake up call he needed,” says the source. “He knows Drew’s a great girl. He’s going to do everything he can to make her happy.”

As I said, I’ll believe it because I think Justin is really like this. Something about the guy… it’s not even that he seems like a jerk, he just doesn’t seem good enough for Drew. And Drew has pretty lousy taste in men. She likes the man-children. And it’s not cute anymore. There were even reports a few months ago that Drew was trying to make Justin into a “movie star” – and that boy is not a movie star. It’s said that his career ambivalence is one of the big factors in the growing distance in their relationship. I guess he’s just content to be The Mac Guy forever.

Who hears the name “Justin Long” and thinks to themselves “Movie Star!”? Nobody? Wrong! Drew Barrymore thinks her on-again boyfriend Justin Long is going to be, like, a Will Smith-level superstar. This is according to the National Enquirer, but they have some semblance of proof. Drew keeps hiring Justin for roles in films she’s producing and starring in. The first was He’s Just Not That Into You, and they’re currently working on Going the Distance, a rom-com about a long-distance relationship.

I think a case could be made that the Drew-Justin relationship is like a gender-reversal casting couch situation. Justin puts out, and Drew makes her lover a big star. If that was Justin’s motivation for dating Drew, I would think it was gross. But it seems that Justin is totally weirded out that Drew is trying to make him “The Next Brad Pitt” or whatever. It’s causing friction between the two of them:

For various reasons, I totally believe this. I know Drew (or, I know the type). She gets blinded by love. She’s in love with love. When she’s in love, she doesn’t see anything but her lover. And we all have to play along with her “celebrating” her newest soulmate. I find it perfectly possible that Drew, blinded by her love, thinks that she can make Justin a leading man. But the rest of us don’t have to play along. That boy has the face of a character actor – and there’s no shame in that. It sounds like Justin knows his own limitations too.

Last year, Drew (and a few paparazzi) allegedly found Justin making out with another woman, which caused one of their first splits.

As a successful actress, producer, and businesswoman, Drew Barrymore is not one to beat around the bush. While she and on-and-off again boyfriend Justin Long are currently the picture of romantic bliss, a source reveals new details about their rocky relationship to RadarOnline.com: including one dinner confrontation about his alleged cheating ways!

“It got so bad that Drew actually knew the girls who Justin was cheating with. He was so bold that he would bring her to dinners with them,” the insider shared. “They’d all be sitting around a table at a restaurant in Los Angeles and Drew would ask Justin how many of the other girls at the table he had been with.”

Seriously, Justin Long? I realize some girls find him cute in that dirt-lip, skinny, indie-rock, non-threatening way, but I don’t get it. Drew could do better, but she just has horrible taste in men. She loves love. She loves falling hard and she doesn’t always have respect for herself. Who would be good for Drew? Maybe Owen Wilson. That might work. Drew Barrymore channeled the 80s in an outfit that looks like something I would wear in 8th grade. She had on tie-dye leggings, sandals, and a white see-through t-shirt with a visible matching tie-dye tube bra on underneath. The outfit was accessorized with a single fingerless knit black glove. Drew doesn’t have the excuse that she just went to the gym or she would be wearing two gloves, not one. All she needs to complete this look is to call up Kate Gosselin’s in-demand hairdresser and request the same style.

In Touch had a feature this week about Drew’s reconciled relationship with Justin Long. Unlike their first go-around she’s trying to keep it under wraps and isn’t telling the press how wonderful he is whenever she gets a chance. According to In Touch, Drew and Justin are planning on moving in together:

That’s sweet Drew wears Justin’s clothes. She can’t use that excuse for this outfit, though. At least she’s thinking “trial marriage” before she jumps into another short-lived union.
