Kanye West likes to name-drop. Apparently he and Justin Timberlake are like the Michael Jackson and Prince of the new millennium. I’m not sure which one is Michael Jackson and which one is Prince.

“My biggest inspiration and biggest competition is Justin Timberlake,” West told hip-hop magazine XXL.

“He is the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect both on black radio and white radio.”

West says he and Timberlake are on a different level to everyone else and has compared their healthy rivalry to Prince and Michael Jackson’s chart battle in the 80s.

He added: “If Justin hadn’t come out and killed the game, I can’t say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they’re on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day.”

Likening yourself to Michael Jackson? Or, come to think of it, Prince? This is not a good career move. I believe he is a little crazy, the way he leapt on stage and told the MTV Europe Awards that his video cost $1million and if he lost in the best video category, they’d lost credibility. Of course, he had already lost and the winner was already up on stage accepting his award. Maybe Kanye should have just thanked his mum and walked away. Anyway, being a little crazy makes you like Michael Jackson, doesn’t it?

Of course, he could be calling himself the new Michael Jackson because he sells out stadiums and is African-American. In some countries he is just U2’s support act, which most ticketholders missed as they were at the bar, as is traditional in all beer loving cultures. In the U.K. he is still number one on the singles charts.

Well, the Fiddy Cent vs Kanye West fued seems to have ended in a bar. Obviously they are at home in beer loving cultures.

The two rappers formerly bitter rivals made peace over vodka shots at New York’s 40/40 Club recently.

Kanye and 50 were also joined by fellow hip-hop stars Jay-Z, Sean Combs and T.I. A clubber told the New York Post newspaper: They all strolled through the club like the rap Rat Pack. Everyone was going crazy around them. Kanye and Fiddy put their differences behind them and had a drink together at the bar.

50 cent recently vowed to quit music if Kanye outsold him, when their albums were released on Spetember 11, he’d quit music. No word on whether the ‘vow’ is being downgraded to a ’stupid-thing-I-said-that-I-didn’t-mean’, but we’ll see in a month or so.

These two have been a little too good at keeping under the radar, but supposedly Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel agree that they should their relationship to the next level - cohabitation:

A source in the know tells Life and Style magazine the star couple who has been dating for about eight months will start living together as soon as Justin completes his world tour next month. “They think it’s the next logical step,” the source was quoted as saying.

The only problem both Justin and Biel facing is on where they should live. The actress is said would like if Justin moves in with her at her Los Angeles home so they can be close to the sea. Justin, on the other way around, is said to be interested in relocating to New York.

Life & Style is a pretty sketchy source, so we’ll have to wait and see if this is true. These two haven’t hit up a high profile restaurant or attended an event together yet. Plus Jessica Biel has been talking about how she loves hanging out with her friends and isn’t about to save some bad boy who won’t change for her anyway. That sounds like celebrity-code for “I’m single again after having quietly broken up with Justin Timberlake,” but who knows?

A couple of weeks ago there was a story that Jessica ran into her longterm ex-boyfriend, Chris Evans, at a wedding in early July and was more than happy to hang out with him all night. The two even left together.

Justin and Jessica did attend a movie together at the end of July and she was seen leaving his Hollywood home early in the morning in early August, so maybe they’re just playing it safe. It doesn’t seem likely that they’ll move in together at this point.

Jessica Biel ran into her ex boyfriend at a friend’s wedding recently and she hung out with him all night. People say they were holding hands, kissing, and looking cosy. The two even left the party together for destinations unknown. Just Timberlake was off touring in Europe at the time.

While Justin was busy playing concerts in Europe, Jessica, 25 and Chris [Evans, who she dated for five years until last summer]… rekindled some old flames of attraction.

“Sparks were flying,” says an eyewitness who saw the two at a friend’s wedding reception held at Arnoldi’s Cafe in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, July 7. “It looked as if they were completely absorbed with one another.

“From what I could see, Jessica hardly left Chris’ side. They were holding hands and cuddling all night - even trading little kisses!

“They sat together and even walked to the bathroom together. Everyone was shocked because we thought she was dating Justin. But it didn’t look like she was thinking about him that night - she was consumed with Chris…”

“They seemed to be flirting and acting real cozy,” adds another eyewitness. “The wedding party took place outside in the bank area, and a couple of people inside the restaurant kept trying to get a peek at Jessica. They were wondering who she was with and why Justin wasn’t her date…”

A rep for Evans says they are “just friends,” but a source who saw the two says “you can tell she and Chris were close and had history together. Toward the end of the night I overheard Chris say, ‘Come on, let’s get out of here,’ and then they left together. He was really adamant - like he was really in a hurry to go and take her with him.”

The article goes on to say that Jessica and Chris played lovers in the (B) films Cellular in 2004 and London in 2005. I bet Star’s source is someone checking out the paparazzi pictures, but if these two were holding hands that does seem suspicious.

Jessica and Justin have been seen out together a few times, and she joined him on but they haven’t yet attended a public event together. Back in mid June Justin referred to Jessica as his “very dear friend” in an interview, so maybe she figured he wouldn’t mind if she stayed very dear friends with one of her exes, too. The wedding where Jessica was reunited with her ex came after she joined Justin Timberlake in Norway while he was touring at the end of June.

They’re probably still together, though, Jessica was seen handing out with Justin’s mother, and Hollyscoop reports that she was seen leaving his house this Tuesday morning. Biel also made a reference to the fact that she’s not really into getting married right now, she was quoted by ContactMusic as saying “What’s weird is: You’re single for 20 or 30 years, and you’re married for like 70. It doesn’t seem like a good ratio, does it?”

Why is that every woman who dates Justin Timberlake feels the need to publicly declare that they’re not the marrying type? He’s such a commitment-phobe.

Justin Timberlake isn’t content to just romance one high-profile starlet and move on quickly to another - he seems to be keeping two on the line. Word is he shared a high-priced rental condo and some fireside snuggling with bootlicious Jessica Biel at Sundance, and now he’s back to bumping Scarlett Johansson - sort of. There was a rumor that Scarlett had rebuffed Timberlake and broken his heart after he hired her to appear in his video in an attempt to get close to the sexy actress. Scarlett is said to be a free spirit and only wanted a fling without ties.

Scarlett is either taking her chances or just toying with Timberlake, as she’s said to have hung out with him all night and to have done a little sexy dance in front of him at a Super Bowl after party:

Johansson met Timberlake at the Hennessey Super Bowl afterparty at Mokai, where, spies say, “they were talking, dancing, holding hands all night - it was very cozy.

“Then, as they left through the back, Justin was leaning against the wall and Scarlett came up, leaned into him and did a sexy, little dance, grinding into his body.”

Timberlake’s spokesman, Ken Sunshine, had no comment, and Johansson’s flack didn’t get back to us.

I bet Johansson is messing with Timberlake and I’d like to see him get his heart stomped on, as cruel as that sounds. He dissed Cameron publically, so I kind of figure he deserves it even thought I still think Cameron is a snot bag. (Why do I care what happens to these people?)

No matter what happens in Timberlake’s life, he seems to have help to get through the days. He recently admitted to being stoned off his ass during the Punk’d episode where he was tricked into thinking IRA agents had seized all his worldly possessions.

Scarlett recently won a free year at a South Beach condo, valued at around $50k. Her spokesperson said she will donate it to a nearby children’s hospital, so that the parents of sick kids will have a nice place to stay. The NY Daily News points out that Jessica Simpson won a car in a similar celebrity swag giveaway last year and that she kept it.

Scarlett Johansson is said to have gotten Justin Timberlake’s hopes up after he dumped albatross Cameron Diaz and thought he scored a real actress. She was seen flirting with him at the Alpha Dog after party and people said they were a new item. Justin is said to have hired Scarlett to appear in an upcoming video in order to get closer to her.

She was toying with him, though, according to sources who say she’s not ready for a commitment with the arrogant singer turned actor. He was said to be too clingy and needy for her, so she got the hell away from him:

The hunky “Sexy Back” singer, who’s 25, rushed into 22-year-old Scarlett’s arms after his split with Cameron Diaz - only to discover the big-screen bombshell “just wasn’t that into him,” sources say.

“Scarlett loves male attention, but there’s no way she’s ready to settle down at her age,” a pal told The Enquirer.

“Justin was crazy about her, but Scarlett? Not so much.

“She said she was more than happy to share a fling with Justin, but then he got all clingy and wanted a commitment. That’s when Scarlett backed off…”

I kind of love that the tables were turned in this relationship and that the woman was the one who wasn’t into the guy. When it’s Justin Timberlake that’s getting the brush off, it’s all the better. Maybe there’s another snotty actress he can publically humiliate. Britney is said to be out of the question, but Lohan only has a couple of crotch slips to her credit and she’s going to be sober soon.

Justin’s ex, Cameron Diaz, is rebounding in style with hot surfer Kelly Slater. Kelly’s a guy, unfortunately, or this story would be more interesting.

Scarlett’s ex, Josh Hartnett, is said to be romancing drunken Brit Sienna Miller. Yeah, I know.

Clown-faced Cameron Diaz ignored the cardinal rule of breakups - act like you’re having a good time and ignore the bastard. She was said to have followed Justin Timberlake to two different Golden Globes after-parties, and to have had an awkward talk with him. She even got all up in gorgeous Jessica Biel’s face after she saw Biel talking to Timberlake. That doesn’t seem like a smart move considering that Biel could probably kick her ass. Diaz has crazy going for her, though, and sometimes that trumps brawn.

CAMERON Diaz is not over Justin Timberlake just yet, and things got heated when she saw her ex chatting up Jessica Biel in L.A. after the Golden Globes. Sources say the temperamental star “blew up” at Biel after she saw Timberlake flirting with her. Diaz followed Timberlake to the In Style party at the Hilton Oasis, where “they had an awkward conversation.” The “Charlie’s Angels” star then trailed Timberlake to the Beverly Hilton rooftop for the Universal party, where she found him chatting up Biel - and screamed at the “Illusionist” star. “If that’s how she wants to get him back, it won’t work,” said our insider. “She’s desperate.” Reps for Diaz did not return our call.

It’s just common sense not to act all crazy around your ex. Do not contact him. That means no drunk dialing! If you want to get him back, and are willing to go through all the crap you dealt with for him but are conveniently ignoring due to fresh heartache, then you have to feel good about yourself. Go hang out with your friends, get a new hairdo, exercise, and spoil yourself. Once you feel good again you’ll realize you’re better off without him anyway.

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake issued a joint statement confirming the demise of their relationship. They said that there are “innacurate stories” about their breakup, that we’re talking too much crap about them, and that Cameron’s nose really does look better now after the operation:

“It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we’ve spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another.” And that’s that!

Rumor has it that Justin has been getting cozy with Scarlet Johansson, and that he hired her for a cameo in a recent video in order to get to know her better. They were seen talking and flirting at the after party for his Alpha Dog movie premiere.

My favorite recent source, The National Enquirer has photos and a story of Justin’s holiday hookup, an ex-girlfriend from his hometown in Tennnessee named Veronica Finn. Finn was in the now-defunct girl group Innosense, and is now a real estate agent in Tampa, FL. Finn stayed over at Justin’s parents’ house for a few nights and was seen out with him playing indoor golf and going to a club in nearby Memphis. (I said Timberlake was from Nashville before, ans as commentors pointed out that was incorrect.)

What’s really surprising about this story is how Cameron and Justin lasted so long. They both made statements that kind of half-revealed their relationship was shaky, and Justin publically dissed Cameron on this season’s premiere of Ellen, essentially admitting he’d never marry her.

This is a fake story made up by a British rag that heard that Scarlett Johansson was in Justin Timberlake’s new video and showed up at the party for the premiere of his movie, Alpha Dog. News of the World is claiming that Scarlet and Justin are an item now that Justin and Cameron have called it quits. Scarlet and her long term boyfriend, Josh Hartnett, are also rumored to be over although they did a good job of hiding their on and off relationship:

The two were working on the promo all last week — and have been spending a lot of time together off the set in Los Angeles. A source told me: “Things just didn’t work out between Justin and Cameron.

“They decided to part ways — but they didn’t tell anyone.

“He’s got a tour coming up this year and wanted to concentrate on that, but it seems he’s really hit it off with Scarlett while working on the video.”

On Wednesday, 2nd January, Scarlett was at the after-party for the premiere of Justin’s new movie, Alpha Dog, at Social Hollywood in LA.

Our source said: “She walked in keeping her head down. When she met Justin they looked very close and chatted away for ages.

“There were other people trying to speak to Justin but he kept his attention on her for around an hour. They looked very intimate.

“But he’s still trying to make it look low key—because he left with his mum Lynn later through a back exit.”

Justin, 25, was still with Cameron when he asked Scarlett to play the leading lady in the vid believed to be based on his relationship with Britney Spears.

And with their curly long blonde hair, big eyes and curvy figures, there are definite similarities between the two beauties.

There’s no “insider” information in that story, and it’s just a rehashing of known information about Justin and Scarlet.

News was that Scarlett was being bitchy on the set of the video and that she got mad when she couldn’t smoke on the set and told people not to eat around her. Her publicist denied the claims.

Another story came out that Justin and Kate Hudson were together since he went to a New Year’s party at her house and they were seen going upstairs together. From what I read lots of people were at that party and it was a big to-do over nothing. It’s more likely that he was banging a real estate agent in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. The woman was said to be an old flame of Justin’s and she stayed overnight at his parent’s house while he was there.

We’ll have to stay tuned to see what happens with Justin’s love life, but if he does have more than a business relationship with Scarlett Johansson I bet they’ll be good at hiding it. She managed to keep her relationship with Josh Hartnet low key and if she’s actually with Justin, which I doubt, she’ll be careful to hide it.

Cameron and Justin’s long relationship may finally be over. These two have been plagued by breakup rumors for ages, and the latest news is that they spent the holidays apart and Justin was spending quality time with a hot realtor in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee while Cameron was off on a separate ski vacation in Colorado. Star magazine claims that Justin was overheard claiming that it’s done between him and Cameron:

Cameron Diaz, his girlfriend since 2003, went skiing in Vail, Colo., with her family. Separate vacations? At this time of year? What’s the reason?

Sources say the glamorous due broke up and went their separate ways after a serious discussion that ended with Justin deciding that his days with Cam were numbered. “They had been planning to be together in Tennessee with his folks,” says a source. “But he came out alone and she stayed in L.A.” And on Dec. 23, as he partied with friends in Senses nightclub in Memphis, the source says, Justin told fellow revelers: “Me and Cameron? We’re done.” He also confided to those friends that “the breakup is for keeps!”

Their reps denied it the last time they were said to be over due to Justin’s commitment issues. Cameron has since claimed that she’s also afraid of commitment, but it sounded to me like she was just trying to save face. Justin has talked so much crap about how he’ll never marry her that I’m surprised they lasted this long.

Ashton Kutcher was out doing some early Christmas shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills with a buddy on Wednesday, Dec. 6, when he came across a great gift.

“He was so thrilled with the it — a $2,500 art and photography book with it’s own stand by Peter Beard. It’s a collector’s edition and only 2,500 books are available,” said an eyewitness. “Ashton said it was the ‘perfect gift’!”

And Cameron Diaz bought Justin Timberlake a coveted Sony PlayStation 3. She had one of her flunkies wait in line for hours to get the game console, but it doesn’t matter that the news is out, because Timberlake got his gift early and is already addicted to it:
