Initially, I thought Kim Kardashian bought Kanye West a $750,000 Lamborghini just because. Like, “I love you and we’re both excessive famewhore narcissists who can put a price tag on our relationship, here’s a Lambo.” But Kim actually gave Kanye a Lambo for his 35th birthday, which was Friday. Does the fact that it was a birthday present make it better? Or worse?

Nothing says “true love” like an ultra-luxe, high-end automobile. When it came time to fete boyfriend Kanye West’s 35th birthday this week (the rapper’s birthday is Friday), Kim Kardashian went all out — dropping $750,000 on a Lamborghini for her love of three months.

A source close to Kardashian, 31, confirms to Us Weekly that the E! star purchased the rare, Aventador LP 700-4 Lamborghini for West.

For now, the “Watch the Throne” rapper will have to hold off on testing out his new ride, as he’s currently in Ireland for the European leg of his and Jay-Z’s international tour.

“Thanks to all my fans. I am tweeting under the stage while Jay is rapping in Dublin on my birthday,” West wrote to his 7.6 million Twitter followers Friday. “You guys make all my dreams possible.”

Earlier that day, Kardashian sent out a tweet to her followers, hinting that she wasn’t going to let her boyfriend spend his special day alone.

Wrote the reality star, “Hi Dublin, Ireland!!!”

Eh. So she bought him a pricey car and he wasn’t even in town to receive it. But she also flew to Dublin to spend his birthday with him. Which is… kind of nice? Like, I would almost deem that “sweet”. Thought one of my biggest peeves is really rich celebrities giving other rich celebrities really excessive, expensive gifts, what are you going to do? Kanye and Kim don’t pretend to be all about humanity and making a difference and charity. They’re all about themselves and they’re all about drowning themselves in luxury. One point for consistency.

You know it’s just after a holiday when every media outlet is running with a mundane Kim Kardashian story like it’s epic breaking news. Kim flew British Airways from France to LA, and once she got home she noticed that someone (side-eye) took some of her personal belongings which were in her luggage. So of course she tweeted about it. Scandalous!

Kim Kardashian is not a happy flyer. After enjoying her jaunt at the Cannes Film Festival, it was time for the E! star to head on back home to Los Angeles. But when she arrived at LAX, she found herself missing a few of the things she had in France.

“Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage and taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental and not replaceable,” Kardashian, 31, tweeted on Saturday.

“What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There’s no sense of security and no trust!” she continued before adding, “Shame on you.”

A source close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star tells Us Weekly of the unfortunate event, “She was warned it happens, but it’s just rude.”

While in Cannes, France, Kardashian and her hot-and-heavy beau Kanye West, 34, were spotted hopping around the city’s events together. They packed on the PDA while grabbing ice cream and posed together on the red carpet at West’s Cannes Film Festival premiere of his art film/art installation, Cruel Summer.

At the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala on Thursday, the reality star wowed in a canary yellow Elie Saab gown, which featured two hip-high slits and a low-cut neckline.

Does it make you like British Airways more or less knowing that some BA employee stole some “personal” items from Kim? Eh. My opinion will depend on what was taken and why. If they took jewelry… well, the pragmatist in me says “That’s on you, Kat-face.” Never pack your jewelry in your checked bags. But if the stolen items were photos or something like that… that’s just creepy.

In other Kim Kardashian news, sources tell The Sun that Kanye has been styling Kim! I told you so. “Imma make you beautiful, girl.” “Imma tell you exactly how you should look.” The source tells The Sun, “Kanye says she plays it safe too much so has been trying to pick outfits for her to wear and encourage her to be more daring.” Can we just stop with the “daring” and the “stylish”? Because Kim is neither, and she needs to learn to settle for “flattering”. Because the worst part of Kim’s style is that she dresses for the “size 4” figure she has in her delusional, Botox-damaged mind, not the figure she has in reality (my guess: a size 10 or 12). Kanye needs to work on THAT.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are still in Cannes. These are some photos from the past 24 hours of Kimye’s Big Cannes Extravaganza, where they seem to be doing several costume changes and paparazzi photo ops every day. Guess who else in Cannes? Kim’s nemesis, Paris Hilton. Apparently, they’ve even been at the same parties, although they studiously avoid each other.

Last night, Kanye debuted his film, Cruel Summer, to a packed tent. According to Starpulse, the film features hip-hop star Kid Cudi and Kanye in a smaller role, and Kanye admits they were in a rush to finish – they were still shooting the movie four weeks ago in Qatar, for goodness sake. After the screening, Kanye got a standing ovation. Meh.

As for this week’s tabloids and what they’re saying about Kim and Kanye – well, it changes every week. The Enquirer is saying that Kanye feels like part of the Kardashian family at this point, so much so that he’s worries about Kris Jenner’s plastic surgery, and how Kris could end up like Kanye’s late mother Donda.

KANYE WEST is pleading with GF KIM KARDASHIAN’s mom Kris Jen­ner to stop having plastic surgery because he’s afraid she’ll end up dead like his own mother. The rap star’s mom Donda West tragically died at the age of 58 in November 2007 – one day after getting a tummy tuck, breast reduction and lipo­suction.

“That loss crushed Kanye,” revealed a close source. “She wasn’t just his mom but his manager as well – just like Kris is Kim’s manager. The parallels are uncanny. Kanye’s gotten very close to Kris. She’s become like a second mom to him, and he couldn’t bear losing another person in his life to plastic surgery. Kanye told Kris, ‘I don’t want to lose ya, baby!’”

Friends and family of the Kardashi­ans’ 56-year-old “momager” fear that she will go overboard with her nip-and-tuck opera­tions. Just before her daughter Kim’s short-lived Aug. 20 marriage to Kris Humphries, her mom announced: “I need a little freshening up.” And as cameras rolled, she headed off to see a plastic sur­geon. But no one is more worried than Kanye, 34, who feels increasingly like a part of the Kardashian family. After only a few months of ro­mancing Kim, he’s already talking marriage with her. You know what’s weird? I kind of believe this. I do think Kanye is still dealing with stuff from his mom’s death, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that Kanye had some ideas about how the Jenner-Kardashian women shouldn’t be nipping, tucking, injecting and Botoxing. These are some new photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Cannes. For real!! Kim and Kanye are in the South of France for a reason, y’all. And the reason is not just “famewhoring”. According to Page Six, Kanye will premiere a new film tonight in Cannes. The film is called Cruel Summer – unfortunately, it’s not Kanye’s epic docu-drama on the awesomeness that is Bananarama. The movie is being called an “immersive ‘Seven Screen Experience’ for the eyes and ears unlike anything West has attempted before.” Kanye directed, wrote and produced it. I would imagine that it’s not very good, but God knows.

Damn it, now I can’t get the song out of my head. I HATE YOU KANYE. That’s not true. I love this song so much.

In other Kanye-Kim news, Radar and some Australian tabloid are now claiming that Kim could be a pillhead. Hm…

According to a shocking new report, Kim Kardashian has a growing pill popping habit that has her sister Khloé is concerned — and putting her foot down — and RadarOnline.com has all the details for you.

“She’s freaking everyone out right now,” an insider told Australia’s NW magazine. “She’s taking Valium and sleeping pills. The last time she self-medicated was when she split from Reggie Bush [two years ago,] when everything felt impossible. Khloé’s really freaked out by it: she found a bottle of pills and knew straight away what Kim was doing.”

The insider — calling Khloé “the queen of tough love” — said the wife of Lamar Odom has issued sister Kim a non-negotiable ultimatum: get clean in three weeks, or she’s telling both their mother Kris Jenner and Kim’s current beau, Kanye West.

The fashionista, 31, began the self-destructive behavior, the insider told the magazine, as pressure mounted in the wake of her public split with ex Kris Humphries , and a nonstop work schedule.

“It started with just a little bit to take the edge off or help her sleep, but she could become dependent upon pills, which worries her,” the insider told NW. “I think she’s secretly pleased Khloé found out because she’d have struggled to stop on her own.”

But! Kim’s spokesperson did tell The Mail that the report “is ridiculous.” And considering the whole story originated with an Australian tabloid, I tend to think it’s BS too. Plus, for all of her faults, I just don’t buy that Kim is a drug user, whether it’s prescription drugs or illegal drugs. The woman barely drinks any alcohol – she’s not some crackie. Her drugs of choice are fame, money and plastic surgery.

Last thing – yes, Kim is totally wearing the exact same Pucci gown that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to last year’s Emmys. Is it weird that I kind of like it better on Kim? Not from the back! But from the front, I kind of like the way Kim fills it out.

Ugh. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were still in London over the weekend, and there are literally 20 million new photos of them at various events, walking down the street and leaving various clubs and parties. Kim and Kanye both had business in London – she was promoting her latest fragrance (“True Reflection”) and doing press for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kanye performed with Jay-Z at the O2 arena, and then Kanye, Jay and Kim all partied together at DSTRKT. Gwyneth Paltrow was there. Do you think Goop was nice to Kim? Do you think Kim will get a shout-out in a future Goop newsletter? Or will Gwyneth pointedly omit all Kardashian references in future name-dropping. Like, “Oh, yes, Kanye and Mr. Jay-Knowles-Z and I were discussing peacock feather enemas and some other people were there too, I forget their names.”

The British tabloids have been having a great time with Kim and Kanye actually hanging out in their city. A few days ago, The Sun claimed that Kim had been ordering Kanye around – which, do you think that ever happens? No.

She’s now gone to the extent of banning girls from going backstage on Kanye and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne tour.

A source said: “Kanye has a load of girls he’s friends with. Most are stylists or from the fashion set but Kim’s not happy about them being alone with him backstage. She sees how well he gets on with girls because of his sensitive side and has decided to rein in the entourage a bit. Kim is trying to put a stop to this as she doesn’t want to look or feel awkward at any point.”

Kanye won’t want to get her upset — she’s his dream woman after fancying her for years.

I’m always a bit put off by the Kardashian propaganda pushing a version of this hookup as “Kanye is so into Kim, he’s been obsessed with her for years.” While I think Kanye and Kim find each other mutually beneficial, I really have my doubts that it’s like THAT.

As for the fashion on display – Kim chose some particularly hideous getups, per usual. It was wishful thinking on my part to suggest that Kanye was maybe styling her for the better now. She still looks awful and refuses to dress for her body type. A note to Stella McCartney: you designed a hideous dress which was first worn by A-listers but is now being worn by the likes of LeAnn Rimes and Kim Kardashian. You should be ashamed.

I hate to admit it, but I think Kanye West is actually achieving the impossible: he’s improving Kim Kardashian’s style. These are photos of Kim and Kanye last night in London, leaving their hotel and then attending the Fifi Awards (awards given for perfumes).

This is exactly what happened (in my mind): first, Kanye spends hours going over Kim’s look, vetoing several dresses (“Girl, imma let you wear something ALL CLASS.”) and even describing the “look” he wanted for Kim to her makeup artist and hairstylist. Kim was probably exhausted by the time the “preparations” for the evening were over, and she still had to show up at the Fifi Awards. So, Kim and Kanye walk out of their hotel together, knowing they’ll be photographed by the hordes of paparazzi waiting for them. Then, once they get to the Fifi Awards, Kanye doesn’t even walk on the carpet with her!!! For real. He went WITH HER, they’ve been photographed together constantly, but he draws the line at holding her hand on a red carpet. All class.

Anyway, I do think Kanye is helping her out. This dress is actually rather pretty, although her makeup is totally drag queen, per usual. Kim had to go to the Fifis because her “signature fragrance” (“Gold”…? Right?) was up for an award. While on the red carpet, Kim posed with a bottle of her new fragrance, True Reflection (Of A Kat-Face). Unfortunately for all involved in this mess, Kim did not win her award - she lost out to Justin Bieber’s “Someday”. Sigh… maybe that’s why Kanye didn’ walk the carpet with her. “Girl, you can’t even win a damn Fifi? That ain’t right.”

PS… Does anyone else think Kanye might be encouraging Kim to stop jacking her face too? Because her kat-face actually looks less waxy and frozen.

Last week, one of our biggest stories was about the Met Gala – specifically, who did NOT come to the Met Gala. Kim Kardashian was a no-show, which was surprising because her boyfriend Kanye West was there, dateless, and because Kim is a self-styled fashion girl. Early reports indicated that Vogue editor and Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour had “banned” Kim because Anna hates all things Kardashian. Team Kat-Face claimed Kim was not “banned” though. Who knows the truth? In any case, the story just added to the new gossip trend: “Everybody hates Kim Kardashian and no one wants to hang out with her.” They say Kanye’s BFFs Jay-Z and Beyonce have snubbed Kim too, and that Kim isn’t welcome at any A-list party. Banned from the swanky annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala by the host herself, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Kim was forced to stay home poring over pictures of the event’s A-list guests. Now, In Touch has learned that Kanye went as far as to ask renowned designer Tory Burch, who dressed him for the exclusive gala, for help.

“He asked Tory if Kim could accompany him as his date,” a fashion insider tells In Touch. “There was nothing Tory could do against Anna’s wishes, but if Kanye had requested to invite a well-liked celebrity, it surely wouldn’t have been an issue.”

Kim also thought she might attend the Met gala with Kanye, and asked Michael Kors to dress her. He didn’t respond.

“She was so upset that he went to the Met event without her,” an insider shares of the star. After Kim’s quickie divorce filing, her onetime friends began abandoning her in droves, with former pals like Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé and Eva Longoria keeping their distance.

Kim’s splashy TV wedding “didn’t sit well” with Gwyneth Paltrow either. “She’d die if she were photographed next to Kim,” a pal tells In Touch. “She hates what she stands for.”

Sadly, Kim is far from well-liked these days. “Poor Kim doesn’t have a friend in the world. She’s always wanted to surround herself with famous people, but they don’t want anything to do with her anymore,” confides a source close to the 31-year-old.

Apparently, Halle Berry also hates Kim Kardashian too – but that’s because Kim and Gabriel Aubry “dated” for a month or two… when was it? In late 2010. And In Touch even says that Anderson Cooper has no sympathy for any Kardashian. So it has been written! Anderson is over it. Whatever, y’all. I know people are going to scream about this, but I just think that the Kardashians are “here to stay” – in the sense that they’re always going to have some level of fame. Now, at some point I’m sure it will drop off, like Paris Hilton’s fame. But you still know who Paris Hilton is, don’t you?

Yesterday, a lot of you seemed to enjoy the story about Anna Wintour “banning” Kim Kardashian from the Met Gala. Allegedly, Wintour loathes everything Kardashian, and Wintour made sure that Kanye West (who went to the Met Gala) did not bring Kim. I thought it was kind of a meaningless “statement” to make on Wintour’s part – if she really feels that way – considering that she allowed the likes of Camilla Belle, Kate Bosworth and Ashley Greene to walk the red carpet too. Are we supposed to think that those girls are somehow not as “bad” as Kim Kardashian because they’re “actresses”? Because, personally, I think all of those women are at the same level of C-list importance. Anyway, E! News tried to do some damage control on the story, claiming that Kim was NEVER supposed to attend the Met Gala anyway:

While the best and brightest of the sartorial set converged in New York Monday night for the Met Gala—aka the Oscars of fashion—there was one flashbulb-attracting name that was absent from the festivities, almost conspicuously so. It didn’t take long for rumors to spread that the reason for Kim Kardashian’s absence from the event (her arm candy Kanye West did attend, solo) was that she’d somehow fallen foul of Vogue editrix Anna Wintour’s bad side and was banned from attending.

But was Kim really disinvited from the ball? Hold on to that haute couture, because this rumor is… So false!

No such snubbing took place, and in fact, the real reason for Kim’s absence is a simple one: She’s a professional. As it happens, Kim’s jam-packed schedule—and not some imagined feud with the most powerful woman in publishing—prevented her from attending, as a source close to the Kardashian family told E! News she was booked on the other side of the country, in Los Angeles, for an all-day photoshoot for a European fashion magazine.

Kim was never disallowed from the attending the gala event, nor was she forewarned of any potential ice between her and Wintour should she have attended…though that was never the plan and the source told E! News, “She couldn’t have gone even if she wanted to. The shoot was scheduled for months in advance.”

In any case, you can’t keep a good woman down, even with a silly rumor, and Kim is continuing her sartorial week apace. Today she and her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian Odom are shooting a new fashion campaign for their Sears line.

Kanye West is prepping some new material: his vows. One month after the Grammy winner professed his love for gal pal Kim Kardashian, 31, on his single “Way Too Cold” (formerly “Theraflu”), he’s singing about her again, a source tells Us Weekly.

On an upcoming track by hip-hop artist Pusha T, West, 34, raps, “I saw you in the club in a white dress/Now I want to put you in a white dress.”

The lyrics are hardly hot air, says a second source: “Kim and Kanye are 100 percent having conversations about marriage.”

Kardashian and the rapper first stepped out as a couple in NYC in March, but an insider close to the duo assures Us their romance was years in the making.

West pursued Kardashian “for a long time” the source explained. Echoed another source, “They’ve been friends for years. Kim is ready to give it a try now.”

If Kanye does propose to Kim, I think it will be his most self-destructive act so far. That man is very self-destructive, self-defeating and for the most part, Kanye is Kanye’s worst enemy. I want to think Kanye would step away from the (Kardashian) abyss when it came down to it, but God knows.

In our (somewhat excessive?) Met Gala coverage, I was surprised that no one asked the most important question of all: “Where IS Kim Kardashian’s kat-face? I demand to know!” Well, now you do. According to Radar’s sources, there are few people in this world that make Anna Wintour’s skin crawl, but Ol’ Kat-face is one of them. Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue and permanent co-chair of the Met Gala, simply decreed it: “There will no Kardashian on this red carpet!” I imagine a “10 Commandents”-like ceremony, where Anna slowly and painstakingly chiseled out her red carpet rules in polished marble. 1. No Kardashians. 2. Any other kind of Bosworth-like famewhore is allowed as long as they kiss the ass of The Wintour.

The most glamorous stars in Hollywood sizzled at the Met Gala in New York City Monday night but there was one starlet who was noticeably absent – Kim Kardashian!

Kim’s new boyfriend, superstar Kanye West, was at Anna Wintour’s fabled Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, but Kim was not by his side, and that’s down to an edict straight from the famed Vogue editor for years, a source exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“Anna hates Kim,” a source says. “Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all.”

This year, big screen bombshell Gwyneth Paltrow, sexy new mom Beyoncé, and supermodel Gisele Bunchen and her QB hubby Tom Brady attended the Elsa Shiaparelli and Miuccia Prada exhibit dressed in the hottest couture from the world’s most important fashion designers, but Kim wasn’t among them.

“The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can’t even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!” the source says.

Kim and her very pregnant sister Kourtney Kardashian were snapped on Monday running errands in Los Angeles, and the source says she’ll likely try and justify her absence.

“Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn’t invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie,” the source says. “She would of done anything to be there with all the A-listers.”

Dating Kanye can get Kim lots of bling, but it can’t get her into the most coveted party of the year!

And, don’t expect to see Kardashian gazing out from the cover of the esteemed fashion mag anytime soon either!

“Anna Wintour would allow Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue over her dead body,” the source says. “As long as Anna in charge you will NOT see Kim on Vogue.”

Well… I mean, Anna allowing Kim to come to the Met Gala doesn’t automatically mean Kim would get a Vogue cover. I would be pissed off if Kim was on Vogue too, but I don’t think I would have been angry if Kim was at the Met Gala. It’s a fun event full of try-hard famewhores – Kim would have been in her element, especially if she came on Kanye’s arm. Incidentally, there was a rumor that Lindsay Lohan was trying to score an invite to the Met Gala – and I for one am glad that Wintour managed to shut that down. At this point in time, Kim Kardashian > Lindsay Lohan.

Here are some photos of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian from this past weekend that we simply never got around to talking about. I think this was Friday night in NYC. Kim and Kanye got pap’d (ha) coming out of a car, and Kanye’s pants were sliding off and I guess we were supposed to think that he and Kim were doing something dirty in the backseat. Which… I mean, I’ll go for some backseat bonin’ and all (I grew up in the South, y’all, most of my formative sexual experiences were in the backseats of cars), but I simply don’t buy that Kim and Kanye were doing anything that dirty. Kim’s leather pants look poured on – she probably needed the Jaws of Life to get her out of those things. My verdict: the most that happened in the backseat was a handy.

In other Kimye (eye-roll) news… well, there’s a lot. Bullet points? Sure!

*Hollywood Life says Kim is worried that Kanye is too controlling. A source tells HL, “Kanye is always asking her where she is and who she’s with. He’s always looking over her shoulder while she’s texting and asking her who she’s talking to. He’s being super controlling and she liked it at first but now she feels suffocated.” Er… that’s what happens when a dude knows you’re the kind of girl who will marry a dude you don’t love to further your famewhore, money-grabbing ways, all while cheating on your fiancé/husband! That was a complicated way of saying that Kanye knows Kim is a cheater – she already cheated on Kris Humphries WITH Kanye.

*Us Weekly claims that Kim and Kanye are “very serious” very quickly and that they’re ready to “pick out rings.” Just call her Jennifer Love Kardashian. A source tells Us Weekly, “they’re already talking marriage.” And Kim “wants to be with him as much as possible… They really know and love each other.” Thus, she’s coming on tour with ‘Ye and Jay-Z this summer. Because why not? Soon the Beyonce-Kim cage-fight will be upon us!

*In Touch Weekly has a weird story about Kim “falling for Kanye’s lies” because Kanye is “a player who’s been publicly accused of cheating” and a source says “he may be spoiling Kim and treating her like a princess, but he hasn’t changed. It’s all a lie!” Yeah, but when he was accused of cheating, wasn’t it by Amber Rose? And didn’t she claim he was cheating on her WITH Kim? Whatevs.

*OK Magazine put Kim on the cover and the story is completely weird and random and obviously false. They say Kim wants to adopt a baby from Armenia. At some point. And she wants a biological baby too, at some point. Blah.
