The National Enquirer ran an item a short while ago claiming that Owen Wilson had fallen off the wagon and was calling Kate Hudson and trying to win her back. Now they say that he spent the night at her house and that they’re back together but are wisely trying to keep it from the public.

Owen spent the night at Kate’s Pacific Palisades home recently before jetting off to Hawaii, The Enquirer has learned exclusively.

“Owen has been secretly meeting Kate since the beginning of the year - at first for 20 minutes here or there, but the visits gradually became longer, revealed an insider.

“Then Owen ended up spending the night at her place.

“Owen and Kate are back together, but they’re not ready to take their relationship public.”

The Enquirer adds that “insiders” are speculating if Kate Hudson is pregnant, and we were all over that on Friday. Hudson hasn’t been seen out in a form-fitting dress in some time and it seemed like something was up. Commentors pointed out that she did wear a fitted dress and skirt to an appearance on the Regis & Kelly show, and she wore a lovely tight gown to the BAFTA Awards this weekend, which seems to put a rest to that rumor.

According to The Enquirer, Owen’s drinking is under control now despite his relapse, and they say that Kate is helping him work through his issues. The article’s supposed source claims that “they are taking things slowly,” but that Kate “is the one true love of his life.”

We’ll have to wait and see if this one is true, and the evidence is sketchy. These two had an on and off relationship and were very low key about it until Kate showed up at an after party for the premiere of Owen’s movie with his brothers, “The Wendell Baker Story,” last Spring. They broke it off shortly afterwards. Although you want to hope they can make it work, those type of relationships rarely do unless one person makes a major change in their life. It seems like Owen had a transformative experience after the trauma he went through last year and maybe he has changed enough to make it work with Kate - if he even hooked up with her again.

I have never understood what the big deal is with Justin Timberlake. I think he’s surprisingly talented, but what the hell is so irresistibly sexy about him? It seems like he’s considered the ultimate celebrity to date. He’s cute, but I wouldn’t exactly call him the cat’s meow. He’s more like that plaintive cry they make when they see a bird at the window. It’s kinda cute, but entertaining for only so long. When Justin first started dating Jessica Biel, everyone seemed to act like she was so lucky to get to be with him. She’s gorgeous! He’s certainly a bigger celebrity, but it’s not like an upside down Beauty & the Beat situation. But apparently Justin didn’t realize how lucky he was. According to Star, he recently cheated on Jessica with Kate Hudson. Jessica was in England filming her new movie “Easy Virtue.” Indeed.

JT flew VIP class on Virgin Atlantic Airways and was first off the plane when it arrived at Heathrow Airport. He dashed to a waiting Range Rover for the 30-mile, 110-mph trip to 16th-century Englefield House, where Jess is working on the romantic comedy Easy Virtue. And he arrived not a moment too soon. Jessica, 25, was furious, insiders tell Star, when she got wind of the reports that he had hooked up with Kate Hudson at Hollywood club Villa on Jan. 11.

…Justin spent an evening flirting with Kate, 28. While reps deny the hookup, an eyewitness said, “They seemed to be so into each other.” By the end of the evening, Justin was “full-on kissing her. They barely came up for air!” That’s all Jessica need to hear to go ballistic.

According to Star, Jessica claimed she couldn’t trust Justin. Shocking. Several people on the movie set said the reunion seemed stiff and uncomfortable, and Jessica wasn’t exactly throwing herself back into Justin’s arms. The mag goes on to say that Justin wined and dinned Jessica and won his way back into her heart in less than 36 hours.

“After dinner, Justin “waited until he was in the back of his Range Rover, then cupped her face in his hand,” an eyewitness reveals. “Jessica brushed the hair out of her face, and he moved in for a kiss. It was a very romantic gesture.”

You know what else is a romantic gesture? Not making out with other women when you’ve got a girlfriend. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but that always works for me. Flying to London and driving 110-mph to get to me is really sweet, but certainly less so when you’ve been shoving your tongue down other girls’ throats.

Kate Hudson chose an unfortunate cobalt blue dress with a giant asymmetric ruffle for the premiere of her new romantic comedy Fool’s Gold. Her co-star Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, Camilla Alves, is over three months pregnant and rocked a short black dress with feathers at the hemline that made her look less pregnant than Kate Hudson did.

Kate’s dress looks like it’s gathering at stomach, creating the illusion that she has a bump when she might not. What is with that dress and her matronly up-do? Maybe the outfit looked better on the runway. It was very windy that night and that must have thrown off the look she was going for. Alves’ was seen laughing as she tried to keep the wind from blowing her skirt up, and Hudson also took the windy weather in stride, laughing and trying to keep her coat on.

When I first saw these pictures I thought Kate was pregnant, but this is a conclusion I often jump to when a celebrity wears an unflattering dress. Looking at other images, she doesn’t look quite as pregnant and could be the victim of an overzealous stylist. It’s interesting to note that she also wore a loose dress to the SAG Awards.

Fool’s Gold is out in the US on February 8. It an adventure romance about a divorced couple in search of treasure. Here’s the trailer:

When I heard that Justin Timberlake and Kate Hudson were seen out together I thought that sounded random, but then searched the site and realized that these two were once briefly linked and that I even reported on it.

There was a rumor last year that Kate Hudson and Justin Timberlake hooked up at Kate Hudson’s New Year’s eve party to celebrate 2007 and that they suspiciously disappeared together upstairs at Kate’s place for several hours. Timberlake was still with Cameron Diaz at the time, which led to a story that Kate told Cameron the next time she ran into her that it wasn’t true that she slept with Justin that night.

Now Kate and Justin are said to have gone out to a club together and to have been spotted making out there, a claim Justin’s rep denies. Justin is supposedly still with Jessica Biel while Kate Hudson is thought to be single after a breakup with Dax Shephard.

While his girlfriend Jessica Biel is away in England filming her next movie, Justin Timberlake has been hanging out with a former hook-up buddy.

JT and Kate Hudson were seen arriving at West Hollywood club Villa at the same time on Friday and then leaving just minutes apart a few hours later.

Star magazine even reported that the pair made out at the club, but JT’s team have strenuously denied those claims.

Maybe it’s true that these two met coincidentally at the club and that the makeout part is fabricated. Either way, it doesn’t seem like there’s much to go one to suggest they’re anything more than friends until there are more photos and sightings.

Kate Hudson and her Fool’s Gold co-star Matthew McConaughey are among the presenters at next week’s SAG awards, which will proceed despite the writer’s strike as the WGA has granted the awards a waiver. Look for more star power than usual as the celebrities try to get their awards show fix.

Kate Hudson kept pretty quiet after ex-boyfriend Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt in August. There were a lot of reports that she’d tried to visit him at the hospital and had been angrily turned away by Wilson’s family – though that was never confirmed. Since then, Kate has been pretty quiet about Owen. She’s definitely someone that’s able to stay friends with her ex’s. She’s been photographed out and about with her son Ryder and ex-husband Chris Robinson more often than some married couples. Kate finally opened up about Owen, her marriage, and her son in January’s issue of Vogue.

“Owen is such a lovely person, and I love him dearly,” she says. “And I wish him beautiful things — health and everything that he desires in life.”

The 28-year-old — who poses in matching plaids for the magazine with son Ryder, 3 — also comes clean about her 2006 split with husband of six years, Chris Robinson. “We had Ryder, and we both sort of looked at each other and went, ‘Something’s off,’” she said. She called the divorce “the most difficult thing I’ve ever done in my life. The process of discovering with somebody that you love that you don’t work is so painful. And thank goodness I did it with Chris. We helped each other through it. Now we’re both single and since the day we separated, we talk multiple times.”

Of her past year, Hudson said, “It was just an extremely giant sort of leap. I definitely feel like I’ve grown up a lot.”

It was widely reported that Owen tried to kill himself after seeing pictures of Kate with her then-boyfriend Dax Shephard in a grocery store. Owen hasn’t talked publicly about his suicide attempt so pretty much everything is speculation. I can’t imagine how that whole situation must have felt for Kate – though she certainly seems like someone who just picks up and moves along. It sounds like she’s pretty happy with her life and things are going well for her.

All of the latest divorcing celebrity couples share one commonality - they have toddler children. In fact none of the splitting couples are childless and all of them have children between the ages of one to four.

Whenever celebrities get divorced I am particularly interested in their children - how many they have and what ages and genders they are. It struck me that nearly all of the recently-divorcing celebrities have children that are going through toddlerhood and probably bugging the hell out of them. (Along with doing plenty of cute things to soften the blow of random tantrums, like saying new words you know you never taught them.)

I’m not saying that the innocent toddlers were the causes of these Hollywood breakups, children are never to blame for a divorce. It’s just an interesting coincidence. Here are the latest celebrity splits along with the stats on their children.

Chris Rock and Maleek Rock: double toddler trouble
Chris Rock was said to have filed divorce papers in early November of this year, but that turns out not to be true. TMZ reports that Chris and Maleek seem to be giving their relationship of ten years another try. They were photographed out at a charity dinner together last week and have not made their divorce official. They have two toddler daughters, Lola, 4, and Zahra, 2.


Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson: two year-old son
Chris Robinson has finally filed for divorce from Kate Hudson after this unlikely Hollywood couple announced their separation in mid August. They have a two year-old son, Ryder, who is such a handful that they don’t even dare cut his hair.


Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe: one toddler son, an older daughter
Reese Witherspoon wasted no time filing divorce from Ryan Phillippe, who was presumed to be cheating on her with his younger co-star, Abbie Cornish. They announced their separation at the end of October and Reese made it official less than two weeks later. They have two children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, who just turned three.


Heather Mills and Paul McCartney: one toddler daughter
Heather Mills and Paul McCartney seem as ill-suited for each other as an evil harpy and beloved legendary rock star could be. They managed to procreate, though, and it was undoubtedly great sex that got them together in the first place. Their daughter, Beatrice, just turned three.


Britney Spears and Kevin Federline: one soon-to-be toddler, one newborn
What recent celebrity divorce list would be complete without Britney and K-Fed? I almost didn’t include them, though, because Sean Preston turned one in September and only just entered toddlerhood. According to the Wiki, toddlers are between one to three, or maybe two to five, so little SP counts.

These breakups during their children’s toddlerhood may serve a biological purpose. Anthropologists have found that couples typically break up when their children are toddlers, with a peak in breakups after four years together. Having seen their children through the vulnerable baby stage, they are free to find another mate and reproduce again, which is our biological imperative.

The four-year pattern, as well as a tendency to divorce at the height of one’s reproductive years, also makes sense from a sociological point of view. “For instance,” Fisher says, “a prehistoric male who ‘divorced’ his partner after seeing one offspring through infancy would have had the opportunity to pick a younger ’spouse’ more capable of bearing and raising babies. A female might leave one mate to ‘marry’ a better provider for her and her forthcoming children.”

Notable recent celebrity divorces that did not involve toddlers include Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, Eminem and Kim Mathers, and Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear. Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have two toddlers, though, and I didn’t include them since their split is old news.

There was a report last month that Kate Hudson was “about” to file for divorce from her husband of six years, scruffy Chris Robinson, but that turned out not to be true because no one has filed the paperwork yet.

Chris is currently touring with his band, The Black Crowes, and it is said that Kate is annoyed that he’s away from their two year-old son so often, which may have led to their breakup. It is also rumored that Chris wants to get back together with Kate and make the relationship work, and that Kate’s mom, Goldie Hawn, is also pushing for a reconciliation.

Star has a story in their latest edition about how Kate “tamed” her new boyfriend, Owen Wilson, but their only evidence is Owen’s toned-up physique and the fact that he doesn’t hang out at the Playboy Mansion any more. Kate and Owen are set to spend some time apart while she films “Fool’s Gold” with Matthew McConaughey in Australia in November, and Kate may have postponed filming to spend more time with Owen.

Star also runs a shocking picture on their cover of Kate’s 20 year-old brother, Wyatt Russell, on a stretcher.It turns out that Wyatt only suffered a back spasm and shoulder injury while he was playing hockey.

Overall it seems like there’s not a lot of meat to this story.

I don’t know if these pictures of Owen Wilson’s ass are new, but they’re new to me and his butt is pretty cute so I’ll publish them.

Owen likes asses himself, and responded to an allegation that he tossed a woman’s salad for two hours by saying that “there’s lots of different paths to the waterfall.”

Owen is helping Kate Hudson find her way to the waterfall. The new couple have to spend time apart over the next few weeks as they work on film projects on different continents, but friends say that Owen and Kate’s relationship is solid and that Owen has become “like part of the family.”

Not everyone is reportedly pleased with Kate’s hookup so soon after - or preceding - the breakup of her marriage to Chris Robinson. Her mother Goldie is said to be encouraging Kate to reconcile with Robinson, who is the father of her two year-old son Ryder.

This is completely worthless to report on, and I wasn’t going to cover this at all, but it was picked up on WeSmirch and Oh No they Didn’t, so I thought I would throw in my two cents.

Perez ran a quickie, much-maligned story claiming that recent candids of Kate Hudson show that she’s got six toes. She does not have six toes, but her left foot is shaped so that the pinky toe does not align with the side of her foot, making the extra bit of foot at the end look like another toe.

In case you’re interested, I’ve found the HQs and have blown up the foot area. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time, but after I did the ten minutes of research on this I figured I may as well run this story.

My husband thinks feet should be cute, and he always cringes at Uma Thurman now that her feet were revealed in such ugly detail in “Kill Bill.” Kate Hudson’s feet are a bit misshapen, but who really cares except guys like my husband who make the rest of us feel better by criticizing gorgeous women for having ugly feet?

x17 reports that Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson are both enjoying a nice vacation in Maui, as evidenced by pictures of the two frolicking quite separately from each other. Is it a case of same place, same time, a photo agency sticking some pictures side by side and claiming that they’re both there, or are they getting together back at the hotel and going out separately during the day?

Update: They are indeed in Maui enjoying each other’s company. Star reports that they were spotted out at dinner together.
