I love Andie MacDowell and one of my favorite things about her has been the fact that she looks so naturally beautiful. She’s gorgeous, she seems down-to-earth when I’ve seen her interviewed, and because she seems all natural she’s the perfect spokeswoman for L’oreal. It makes me sad, then, to see her looking all shiny and pulled at the L’oreal Legends Gala last night.

Keep in mind, though, that Andie MacDowell is fifty freaking three years old! I thought she was a hot looking 45, honestly, and I’ve covered her several times here and still had to look up her age. Some of you are going to yell at me and tell me she’s not getting anything done since she has some natural crow’s feet. She looks very waxy and fake to me, and like she’s trying to smile and can only wince. Whatever she’s doing, she hasn’t gone overboard yet and it’s possible the fillers or Botox she’s using will settle. For comparison here are two earlier photos of her. She looks different now, doesn’t she? Also, she’s shown below with her 16 year-old daughter, Sarah Margaret, she’s so pretty!

Oh and in terms of the fashion – both Andie and her daughter’s dresses are lovely. I really like Andie’s full length sparkling v-neck dress. Her daughter’s light blue chiffon gown has a subtle lace panel on the skirt and bow detail at the bodice. It’s very elegant yet sweet and age-appropriate. Sarah is going to be a stunner.

Speaking of waxy, here’s Julianna Margulies in red. Her dress is ok. I don’t particularly like the way it’s draped but it’s not bad. Those shoes look orthopedic though! From the side they’re prettier with the heel, but from the front they look like sandals you’d wear around the house.

Kerry Washington wore a very ugly loose bronze dress that did nothing for her gorgeous figure. The cut is bizarre and it has some sort of scarf thing trailing down the back. I like her stacked necklaces and matching earrings though.

This woman Aimee Mullins is a double amputee and an accomplished athlete. But I have to point out that she has Wilma Flintstone hair. That dress looks like it could be a Halloween costume too.

Taraji P. Henson was so hot in form fitting blue. The shoes don’t seem to go with that dress, but I’ll overlook it.

Kelly Rutherford really bugs me for some reason. I can’t explain it really. This dress squashes her boobs and she needs to fill in those eyebrows. Looks like she filled in her cheeks pretty well.

Michael Michele is recognizable to me, but I can’t remember where I’ve seen her. IMDB reminds me that she was on “Homicide” and “ER.” She really owned the red carpet in that teal one shoulder dress. Her feet look like they’re hanging out of her shoes though. She’s another one that looks Botoxy to me. They pretty much all do. Maybe Andie MacDowell really is natural-looking – in comparison.

Thus far, we’ve pretty much avoided covering Kelly Rutherford’s never-ending divorce drama, and I hope it will remain that way. But one thing is for sure – Kelly is ready to move on with her life, and Star Magazine is reporting that Kelly has her eye on none other than her Gossip Girl costar, Chace Crawford. Chace is 24 years old – Kelly is 41. So you can guess how Star started their report – as some kind of “Cougar Alert”.

As Chace gave an interview, Kelly snuck up behind him and ran her hands through his hair.

“This is one of those guys,” she said. “If you go out with him, you don’t have to worry about dressing him, right? You want to undress him!”

As bystanders tittered, Kelly continued to hand all over her boy-toy. Chace is no stranger to older women. As Star reported, he had an affair with 14-years-older Shauna Sand years ago. Kelly, 41, has only three years on her!

Yeah, the Shauna Sand thing makes me think that Chace would be up for it. Of course, it also makes me think that he has a specific type, and Kelly isn’t it. And why, for goodness sake, would you ever want to be with a dude after he’s been with Shauna Sand? That would make me dry-heave. That being said, I do like the idea of Chace and Kelly’s romance blossoming at a QVC event. That seems apt.

Oh, there are photos of the two of them flirting with each other at the event! Yeah, they both look into it. It’s on, cougars!

Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford, 40, just gave birth to her second child, a girl she named Helena, on Monday. Rutherford is in the process of divorcing her second husband, 34 year-old German businessman Daniel Giersch, who is presumably the baby’s father. She filed for divorce last December, and the two have fought over custody issues with their son Hermés, two and a half, in the interim. The last we heard they were arguing over potty training philosophies, with Giersch trying to toilet train Hermes while Rutherford thought it was too much stress for the boy. They eventually agreed to let Hermes wear pull-up diapers until he was ready to start using the potty.

Despite some minor agreements in court, it looks like these don’t yet have an amicable relationship. Giersch has released a frustrated statement that his estranged wife failed to inform him about the birth of his daughter, and explained that he had to find out about it through the press like everyone else.

The Gossip Girl star welcomed her second child, daughter Helena, on Monday, but the actress’s estranged husband, German entrepreneur Daniel Giersch, tells PEOPLE he was never notified of the birth, and instead read about it in online reports, some unfavorable toward him.

“Media reports claiming that I neglected to attend my daughter’s birth are total lies and fabrication,” Giersch says in a statement. “I was never informed by Kelly about the birth of our daughter, nor was I invited to attend. In fact, I found out about it through Internet reports like everyone else. Although this sickens me, I am of course overjoyed that our baby was born healthy. I would’ve wanted nothing more than to hold our newborn daughter for a few moments, and I only seek to coparent both our children responsibly and with love.”

Giersch says he had a verbal agreement with Rutherford that she would notify him by phone or text message of her labor, hospitalization, and the child’s birth – which he alleges never happened.

According to Rutherford’s publicist Jill Fritzo, “The doctors advised that no one be in the birthing room; [Daniel] was notified when [Helena] was born and was immediately invited to come see her.”

Rutherford, 40, and Giersch, 34, are currently mired in a custody dispute over their 2-year-old son, Hermes.

What a snotty statement that guy put out. He could have been more delicate about it if he really cared about his new daughter and wants a relationship with her. Instead, he had to get all defensive and get his digs in at Rutherford. I would bet there are plenty of legitimate reasons why she doesn’t want to deal with her children’s father. She must be going through a lot at this time and it couldn’t have been easy to file for divorce while she was pregnant. I feel for her and although she should have told the father I can see why she would want some peace after she just gave birth. There are two sides to every story though and no wonder Giersch is mad if he feels completely shut out of his new daughter’s life.
