The National Enquirer and Star Magazine claim to have the real reason behind K-Fed’s refusal to let Britney into his house shortly before she went to rehab. They say his ex and the mother of his two other children, Shar Jackson, was at his house helping him care for Britney’s two infant boys. They say that Shar wants K-Fed back, and if Britney found out she’s watching her children she’ll freak out as she’s still jealous of her.

What’s more, they claim K-Fed is telling Britney he’ll reconcile with her once she successfully completes rehab, and that’s what convinced her to give it a third try.

The Enquirer story also says that if Britney doesn’t finish rehab and sober up properly her family plans to commit her to a mental hospital.

The Enquirer has learned that while Britney is in Promises, her hubby Kevin Federline’s ex-lover, actress Shar Jackson, has been helping take care of their boys!

Britney is unaware of that fact, and people close to her don’t want her to find out because they are already concerned about her staying in rehab.

“Britney doesn’t think she has a problem. She agrees to go into rehab only because Kevin promised they’d be back together with their babies if she finished the program,” revealed a source close to the couple.

“Kevin has convinced Britney that he still loves her. He’s talked about all the things they’ll do when she gets out.

“But if Britney doesn’t stay in Promises, her family will put her in a mental health facility…”

“Shar has been at Kevin’s house helping him with the boys… Britney is terrified Kevin will get back with Shar. If Britney finds out what’s going on, she’ll go ballistic. There’s no doubt she’ll bolt from Promises and go running to get the kids.”

The article claims that Britney threatened to leave rehab if K-Fed and the kids didn’t visit her, and that’s why they were seen there last weekend. K-Fed has supposedly promised Britney that they’ll renew their wedding vows if she is successful at rehab.

I’m not sure I buy all that about Britney’s family wanting to commit her to a mental hospital, but it could be true that Shar is helping with the children. Maybe a paparazzo saw her leave K-Fed’s house when the kids were there. Star magazine says that Shar is trying to win Kevin’s affection and that she even cooked him his favorite meal, pasta and a dessert of carrot cake, for Valentine’s day.

There have been several stories lately about Britney and K-Fed getting back together. While I would like to think that they’re made up, there seems to be some truth to them. I wouldn’t put it past K-Fed to be sleeping with his ex Shar and getting her to watch the kids while promising Britney that he’ll reunite with her if she completes rehab.

Meanwhile Brooke Shields has offered Britney her help after hearing that she is reading her book about postpartum depression, “Down Came the Rain.” She said “If [Britney] is reading my book, I hope it’s helping her. If it’s not, and she wants to talk to someone, I’m available.”

Well, I wouldn’t have thought this of Kevin ever. But the hard-partying, money grubbing SOB either really does care, or he’s making very calculated and intelligent moves in an effort to win the custody battle for his children. If you think about it, it’s pretty certain that he’ll at least get joint custody of the children considering how Britney’s spiralled out of control.

During Britney Spears’s recent wild weekend, her ex, Kevin Federline, canceled plans to party in Las Vegas during the NBA All-Star weekend in order to stay in Los Angeles to be available for the couple’s children, sources tell PEOPLE.

“Kevin is concerned for Britney and his children,” says a friend of Federline’s. “Of course he’s concerned about her. He loves her. He’s always loved her – even after she started divorce proceedings.”

The pair, who split in November, have two sons together, Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James 5 months.

According to another source, Federline had booked a room from Feb. 14 - 19 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, but canceled the reservation.

It’s not clear if Federline has been in direct contact with his two sons or Spears, who voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility on Tuesday.

A rep for Federline could not be reached for comment.

Even though I’ve never been a fan of Britney or her antics, I really hope that she sticks with rehab this time, especially for the children’s sake.

Lately Britney seems like a sad sack who can’t keep a man. At first everyone was championing Britney for surprising freeloading K-Fed with divorce papers on election day. After Britney showed us all her c-section scar and was seen out partying for months at a time with questionable company, K-Fed’s character seemed spotless in comparison. Throw in a Superbowl commercial in which the best minds in marketing manage to make him look humble and like a good rapper, and he’s definitely ahead in the battle for public opinion and perhaps child custody.

People say model Isaac Cohen left Britney after a few weeks due to drama and pressure too early in the relationship. Isaac gave an interview to British tabloid News of the World in which he describes Britney as an insecure person who loves sex and cannot stand to face the reality of her life. He said she was miserable and asked him over and over if she was fat. He also said she has her wedding dress framed and hanging on a wall in her bedroom at home and is not moving on with her life after K-Fed.

In last week’s National Enquirer they reported that Britney had a meeting with K-Fed at her place and told him she’d give him a huge chunk of cash in exchange for getting back with her. They say she’s miserable without him and begged him to take her growing ass back. (I wanted to report it earlier, but was scrambling to get ready for my trip.)

“Britney begged Kevin to come back to her,” a source told The Enquirer.

“She told him, ‘I love you, I want you back, I’m so sorry.’ She’s offered him money, includind signing over all the proceeds from the sale of their $13.5 million Malibu mansion, plus unlimited access to her fortune, if he’ll be her man again.

They also claim the Britney said she’d stop partying and get outpatient treatment for her drinking problem if Kevin would go to counselling with her. She wants him to move back in with her, and says she’ll let his kids with Shar come over more often and will help finance his mother’s retirement.

K-Fed was said to be considering her offer, and his supposed buddy told the Enquirer “‘Kevin believes Britney will give him $10 million up front just to reconcile. He might get more in a divorce, but he feels that by staying married to Britney, he’ll keep his boys close.’”

If these two do get back together, Britney is said to be planning an interview to announce that they’re giving their doomed marriage another try for the tabloids’ sake.

Now The Enquirer is saying that Britney had sympathy sex with K-Fed in early December after they were already broken up, and that of course they didn’t use protection. She supposedly told him she thought she was pregnant yet again, but that it turned out just to be a scare or a revenge tactic. She wasn’t really pregnant, and K-Fed told her it probably wasn’t his, anyway:

“Britney told Kevin she might be with child number 3, Kevin just said ‘So, if you’re pregnant, it’s not mine!’” revealed a source.

The fighting Federlines had reunited for one night and had sex just after her December 2 birthday, said the source…

But soon after that torrid evening, it became clear to Britney that Kevin was interested only in the kids, divulged the source.

Feeling spurned, she stopped taking his calls. Kevin never saw the boys for the Christmas holidays despite leaving numerous messages for Britney.

The two didn’t talk again until after New Year’s…

No longer able to hold time with the kids over Kevin’s head, the insider believes that she pinned her hopes on the pregnancy scare to lure him back.

Instead, it had the opposite effect…

Kevin believes Britney didn’t use birth control when sleeping with other men, either. And because he believes she’s had so much sex without protection, he told her he’ll never sleep with her again, according to the source.

I’m not sure I buy the Enquirer’s stories about Britney, because their sources seem to be K-Fed’s buddies or PR team that works for pot or whomever. It could be true that Britney told him she thought she was pregnant, but it’s just as likely that they’re trying to smear her.

Assuming all this garbage is true, it looks like K-Fed was considering getting back with Britney and that his love of bling and custom cars might have been the achilles heel she tried to exploit by dangling a bunch of cash in front of him. She ruined her chances, though, by telling him she could be pregnant after they’d only had sex once.

It’s also possible that these stories conflict and that one person is saying she tried to get him back by pretending to be pregnant and another is saying she used her fortune to lure him. Either way, she’s still a sad sap.

And now for a bulletin from the world of high culture … in an era when the high is interested in getting as way down as it can. The National Portrait Gallery in London is no exception: here trouncing over the old high/low divide with that easiest and most often of cheap curator stunts - the Fashion Photography Show … and with the extra cojones of announcing this moldy old museum move as new and cutting edge. If it was a knife it couldnt get through soup. And we quote:

Cheap curatorial maneuvering to imply. “Don’t worry folks … its just like a Vanity Fair meets People spread with pricier admission … nothing to be bored by here … you can stroll around then go for drinks.”

The National Gallery is adding to the extra thrilling kick of guarunteed non-boring art with a healthy helping of popular wish fulfilment. Photographer Steven Klein kicks in a picture of Kevin Federline (K-Fed, Fedex, K. Fiddy, Kuff Faddy, etc. etc. etc.) with his throat slit. The NPG continues in heinous prose:

In the contemporary fashion world, models, actors, musicians and designers frequently swap places. The exhibition highlights the relationship between fashion and celebrity and illustrates the extraordinary intimacy that often develops between photographer and subject.

K. Fiddy is none of those but here’s betting the free PR from the photo more than makes up for breaking the paper thin logic of this paper thin concept of a show. And its gotta give Britney a bright moment in an otherwise so far bleak 2007.

The cover story on this week’s National Enquirer (which was one my my last purchases before leaving the states for the trashy pleasure of it) claims that Britney collapsed on New Year’s Eve due to a drug overdose, and wasn’t simply tired or drunk as people have speculated. She was actually on Vicodin, cocaine and ecstacy, and smoked pot that night along with consuming a lot of booze, according to The Enquirer.

They also claim that K-Fed has hired a private detective to get more ammunition for the divorce:

“Kevin was so upset about Britney’s collapse, he screamed: ‘I am afraid she’s going to kill herself right in front of my boys,’” revealed a close source.

Horrified by his estranged wife’s behavior, Federline has hired a private investigator - and plans to use his shocking findings as a weapon in their divorce, say insiders…

At dinner, Britney continued to drink - enjoying champagne and cocktails of rum and pineapple juice, according to an eyewitness…

After dinner, back at her hotel suite… Britney allegedly smoked marijuana before going to Pure for the New Year’s Eve party.

“When she got to Pure, she went into the V.I.P. section, and there she snorted cocaine,” charged the close source. “I think Britney likes coke because she feels it helps her stay sober,” the source claims.

Britney was also taking a powerful prescription painkiller - Vicodin, prescribed after her last C-Section some four months ago, according to sources.

As the music pounded and the booze flowed, the mother of two was also given Ecstasy, according to the source.

Britney was carried out of the club. Her manager famously claimed she was just sleepy while we all speculated it was much more. She then checked herself into an Arizona spa for some detox treatments, but was out and making the scene again within a few days.

The article cites an addiction expert who states the obvious - that a combination of the drugs Britney supposedly took that night has the potential to be lethal.

This sounds to me like one of K-Fed’s buddies called up The Enquirer and made these claims to smear Britney. I’m not saying it’s not true, just that it sounds like something he’d do and the article is worded very favorably toward him. You know he doesn’t care about the kids like this, and realizes they’re in the hands of Britney’s mother and competent nannies.

White Trash Parents Britney and Kevin have worked out the January custody arrangements
for their children. Brit and her posse are taking the kids to Miami for the first part of January. Britney is supposed to let K-Fed know where she is while in Miami. White Trash Mom wonders if this includes telling him about the nightclubs she’s partying and flashing at.

After Brit returns from Miami, the children’s father gets to see them for three weekly visits at Britney’s new home. Visits are to be no more than 4 hours in length. Since this is about a 1000% increase in the time K-Fed usually spends with the boys, I’d say at least one of the two of them is trying to improve.

The only people that are allowed at the “January Father Visits”: Britney, Kevin, a nanny, Britney’s personal assistant and “household staff”. So I guess that is about 25 people if you count the staff. It warms my little WT heart to see how family centered Kev and Brit are being, don’t you agree?

While Britney gets constant press for stepping out drunk in various stages of undress, K-Fed tries to prove what a great dad he is by taking his kids with Shar Jackson to Disneyland. Shar was pregnant with K-Fed’s second spawn when he left her for Britney, but since he still supports her she has only praise for him in the press.

K-Fed took his daughter, Kori, and son, Kaleb, (his children with actress Shar Jackson) on a five-and-a-half hour excursion to Disneyland on Wednesday evening, The ShowBuzz has confirmed.

Federline arrived at the California theme park just before 5 p.m. with his two children, an assistant and two others who appeared to be security guards.

“We had been notified the day before that they wanted to come so we made the appropriate arrangements,” a source from Disneyland says.

Father and daughter first jumped on the Disneyland railroad, went to New Orleans Square and got on the Haunted Mansion, which is decorated for the Tim Burton film “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

“Kori said it was her first time at Disneyland … She clearly loved her dad and she was having fun,” the source said. “He was asking her ‘What do you want to do next?’ ”

Kori went on rides with her father while little Kaleb slept. “Kaleb was actually asleep in the stroller and he didn’t want to wake him up,” the source says.

They all stayed to watch the Christmas parade and the Christmas fireworks show and left at about 10:30 p.m., after fake snow fell on Main street.

“He was just like any dad with his kids. She was a very sweet little girl,” the source said.

K-Fed is suing Britney for custody of his other two children, in what people say is a move to secure a larger settlement in the divorce. He’s obviously using his kids with Shar to make him seem like a better dad to the public, and his ploy might just work. Britney is doing herself no favors by being seen out half dressed at high profile nightspots in the middle of the week.

Jennifer Aniston and K-Fed, yes there’s no other K-Fed I could be referring to, supposedly met up unexpectedly at a club and spent the evening bonding over shots of Limoncello, the same lemon liquor that led to Danny Devito’s drunken appearance on The View. They then slipped out together through the back door. What happened next is anyone’s guess:

After hanging out with former ‘Friends’ costars, Jen made for Club Citrus with some gal pals for some laughs and what became a few too many Limoncello’s. Jen was first introduced to the high-octane cocktail in Italy by the same guy that sent his pal Danny DeVito to be on “The View” while he was in a state of mild delirium.

And what other newly exed celeb happened to be in the same place, slamming a Colt 45 while wearing a too-large-for-his-frame velour sweatsuit? None other than FedEx and his posse, all of whom went nuts when they saw Jen. My sources tell me they spent the rest of the night in a private area, making fun of their exes.

When the lights of the club finally came on, the two were seen escaping into the shadows through a back door. Citrus owner Peter Chin, always tight-lipped about his mega-star clientele, would neither confirm nor deny the story, then gave me his signature ‘wink.’

Aniston had made an appearance earlier in the night at the premiere of pal Courteney Cox’s new series for FX, Dirt, in which Cox plays a no-holds barred tabloid editor. Incidentally, Cox has said that she would be open to a Friends reunion, but said that it wasn’t in the works yet.

As to what prompted Aniston to perhaps go home with the FedEx, we can only guess it was the liquor. The whole scenario sounds like it was made up by the Limoncello marketing people, who were so grateful for Danny Devito’s on-air plug that they sent a case of the stuff to The View afterwards.

I’m not an Aniston fan, (I mean I was back when she was on Friends, but that was ages ago) but I feel sorry for the woman at this point if this news is true. She went from Brad Pitt to Vince Vaughn to K-Fed. You can just hear the rock dropping into the well.

As for whether she’s pregnant or not, that probably not true. The British newsletter that reported the dubious news two weeks ago said just last week that it was probably water retention. And wishful thinking. She’s not helping matters with outfits like this though.

Just like Britney, K-Fed is attempting to clean up his image but is going about it half-assed and failing. He supposedly put out a press release stating that he’s changed his whole look and has abandoned the loose hip-hop gear in favor of suits. Wearing suits will solve everything, K-Fed.

FedEx and his posse attended a party in NY for a new book called “The Concise Guide to Sounding Smart at Parties” and was said to actually be interested in what the book was about. He later reverted to old ways and was downing shots at the open bar.

Fully clothed K-Fed still is coming off as the less f’ed up party in his divorce with Britney though. In an interview with E! he doesn’t sound like as much of a douche as he normally does. Maybe they edited out the bragging he normally does:

“I am good, I am great, you know … just moving along, progressing and taking it all in stride,” the 28-year-old aspiring rapper tells E! News in an interview that was to air Wednesday night…

Federline, who is seeking spousal support and sole custody of his sons with Spears, says he’s a family man and “that is the truth … in all honesty, that is what it is.”

He is also the father of a 4-year-old daughter, Kori, and a 2-year-old son, Kaleb, with actress Shar Jackson. They dated before he became involved with Spears.

Meanwhile, the media is giving the club-hopping Federline a tough time.

“I laugh a little bit about it you know,” he said. “I don’t take it too seriously. Those are people who don’t really know who I am.”

His debut album, Playing With Fire, sold a dismal 6,500 copies in its first week of release. The CD was released Oct. 31.

When asked about it, Federline says he’s “working it slowly, still trying to get out there and do more stuff … I got a lot of options on the table right now.”

His New Year’s resolution?

To be “a little bit wiser, a little bit stronger.”

That all sounds surprisingly normal coming from K-Fed.

K-Fed wants a reality show, and has asked a “House of Carters” producer about helping him sell the concept to whichever lesser cable network is stupid enough to buy it. He told the guy that he wants the show to portray him in a positive light, to basically spin his story into something that makes him look good.

House of Carters Executive Producer Kenneth Crear tells Us exclusively that he is currently working on producing a reality show with K-Fed.

“It’s true,” Crear tells Us, adding that he just started negotiations with partner Billy Rainey and Kevin Federline’s manager on Monday. “We are in talks about this. Kevin came to me because he liked the way I shot the House of Carters series and the way I made Nick Carter look real and trustworthy. I gave people a different perspective of him and made people really respect him.”

Crear also confirms that they are looking at “one or two” different networks, but insists the project is just as the beginning stages.

“Kevin doesn’t dislike or hate Britney,” Crear tells Us. “The show will show him for who he is but [will] not smear her. It was just a marriage that didn’t work out, but it will show who he is beyond that.”

Crear also says they are looking at an eight episode deal that will be shot over three months, but they haven’t started shopping it around yet.

I’m surprised he didn’t approach 8 Mile producers about a fictional version of his fabulous life to date. They probably have started “shopping it around” and no one is interested or they wouldn’t have called up Us weekly to spread the news.

There was a rumor that K-Fed was offered nearly $300,000 to appear in Celebrity Big Brother in England after Britney dumped him, but nothing seems to have come of that. Now he wants his own reality show - as long as it’s done on his terms. People will watch the first ten minutes to see what a douche he is, and will flip the channel as soon as they see what kind of propaganda it is. No one bought his CD and no one is going to waste their time watching this crap. Without Britney he’s not interesting, and by the time this show comes out the public will have plenty of time to have forgotten him.
