When Victoria Beckham’s kids asked her what she does all day she put the Spice Girls movie into the VCR, because she figured the WAG concept was just too hard to explain. Her kids loved the film so much that they watched it over and over. When her four year old son, Romeo, asked her if she had been out with the Spice Girls one day she didn’t have the heart to tell him that she was just shopping for a living, so answered “yes”:

She revealed in an interview with Britain’s Radio 1: “I showed the kids ‘Spice Girls: The Movie’ the other day, because being in Spain it’s all about football and all about daddy, and the kids said, ‘Mummy what did you actually do?’

“So I put on the movie, and they loved it and it was on heavy rotation. Then one day I had been out to work and when I came home Romeo came running up to me and said, ‘Mummy, have you been working with the Spice Girls?’

And I couldn’t let him down, so I said, ‘Yeah, mummy has been working with the Spice Girls’. And he said, ‘Have you been driving that bus mummy?’”

I had the pleasure of seeing Spice World in High Def about two years ago when my sattelite network Voom, which has since gone belly up, put it on heavy rotation. (They did have a lot of fabulous HD original content too, but their filler was basically cardboard.) I can see how it would be entertaining to a toddler, and it’s a bit less intellectually demanding than the average showed aimed at 3-6 year olds. Dora The Explorer has to visit three locations sequentially in a half an hour, but the Spice Girls just have to get to one concert gig and they have an hour and a half to do it.

That’s sweet and kind of disturbing that Victoria’s son thinks she runs around in little outfits getting in silly capers with a group of ditsy women, pausing for musical numbers. That’s not entirely untrue. I tell my kid all sorts of white lies, so I can hardly blame her. (”Yes, Daddy is coming home in a minute. Look - there’s a firetruck!”)

Unfortunately Posh might never be able to perform with the Spice Girls again. She said a reunion was unlikely now that all the former members are doing their own thing. Scary is several months pregnant with Eddie Murphy’s baby, so that would put a wrench in their plans too. They’ll always have Spice World.

Brad, Angelina, and their children were on the set of “A Mighty Heart” at the airport in Goa. (Thanks Irish.) Angelina was seen escorting her son, Maddox, while Brad looked hot and fatherly carrying little Zahara and shielding her head from the cameras. They seem to be entering the enclosed bungalow in a gated community that has been decorated to resemble the area in Karachi, Pakistan where Marianne and Daniel Pearl stayed.

All is not well with the Brangelina family and the media storm that surrounds them in India.

Angelina’s convey was involved in a possible hit and run accident with a motorcycle driver last week.

Angelina’s notorious bodyguard, one-time murder suspect Mickey Brett, was photographed and videotaped threatening and choking a British photographer, and now it’s said that another security guard threatened an Associated Press photographer with a gun, and that a different member of Angelina’s security force punched the photographer out:

While the mean mofo that heads Angelina’s security force might not be responsible for this latest incident, he was said to have looked on without intervening. The photgrapher only gave Angelina a business card, is that an offense worth threatening his life for?

Considering this incident along with the stories of photographers getting beat to a pulp and threatened in Naimibia, it’s easy to conclude that Angelina’s security force condones such unacceptable behavior, and thrives on a culture of violence.

The longer it takes Angelina to fire Mickey Brett and send people the message that violence is unacceptable the more her public image is going to justifiably suffer.

Tom Cruise got annoyed when he noticed that his son Connor’s team wasn’t doing that well during a recent football match. He marched up and gave them his own pep talk, no doubt thrilling 11 year-old Connor:

With pictures like these of Tom running across the field with Connor, that’s an easy story to believe. You can tell that Connor is not thrilled with the attention that’s paid his manic father, but he looks like he’s quietly putting up with it.

Katie Holmes has made it known that she’s found her wedding dress. She won’t tell the press which designer she’s picked, but speculation is that it could be Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, who she was pictured with at a recent party he threw in Paris.

Tom and Katie are expected to get married next month.

Brad Pitt is now back in LA filming Oceans 13, tentatively subtitled “any excuse to see Pitt, Damon and Clooney onscreen together, even if Ellen Barkin is in it,” and he’s been bringing Maddox and Zahara with him to work! Pitt is taking advantage of the on-set daycare.

That’s cute! I wish they had daycare where my husband works.

Fan favorite Johnny Depp leads a quiet, low-key life in the south of France with his girlfriend of eight years, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, and their two children. Star Magazine reports that the gorgeous star of “Pirates of the Caribbean” is a devoted dad who walks his kids, Lilly Rose, 7 and Jack, 4, to school and back again every day:

The article goes on to say that Johnny got paid $35 million plus a percentage of the box office for the two “Pirates” sequels, while Vanessa, his girlfriend of 8 years, has focused on her role as a mother and has only been in two films since she met Johnny in 1998.

In an interview in Britain’s The Independent, Depp credits his family with turning his life around, and says he had a “rebirth” after his first child arrived:

Interestingly enough, Depp said in 1993 “Ideally, I’d have land somewhere, maybe in France, with a wife and kids.”

It looks like his dreams have come true. Johnny says he would like more children with his French girlfriend and says he doesn’t need to get married to prove his devotion to her.

He sounds like a wonderful father and partner and a changed man. He’s also a talented actor who deserves his massive success.

Depp was presented with the “Freedom of Paris” award last Thursday before the French premiere of “Pirates 2.” He was honored for “devotion to Paris,” even though he lives in the French countryside.

Christina Aguilera is such a diva. Not only does she arrive hours late for most every scheduled interview, she also refuses to look interviewers in the eye. She insists that the room is darkly lit and sits facing the other way while she answers questions:

If this is true it’s ridiculous and Aguilera deserves a serious career slump for being so arrogant. Maybe she’ll learn when she’s older that she’s no better than anyone else and that you have to be kind to people - especially the press - if you want a good reputation.

Maybe kids will soften Aguilera’s outlook - although she predictably doesn’t seem to want any because they would interfere with the amount of time she has available to apply makeup. She’s vague on the issue of children and gives a diplomatic answer to make it seem like not completely uninterested in them:

Notice that she doesn’t say she’ll start thinking of having a family, she gives an answer that’s even more removed from that - “we’ll start venturing into the mindframe of starting” a family. That means no way does she want kids at this point.

She has also called her new album “Back to Basics” her “child” and that it’s like having twins:

WTF would she know about having kids or being pregnant? That’s so fucking snotty. Once Aguilera realizes she wants kids - when she’s over 35 and her clock is ticking - she won’t be able to get pregnant because she couldn’t be bothered when she was fertile.

The lead story in The National Enquirer has Brad and Angelina fighting over the fact that Brad doesn’t get any alone time with the gorgeous mother of new baby and two adopted kids. Brad supposedly wanted to have a private lunch with Angelina, but she deferred in favor of watching the kids. She certainly has enough kids to take care of:

The article then rehashes Angelina’s fight with Brad when he went out in London one night when she was sick. A “family friend” also claims that Angelina is having trouble breastfeeding little Shiloh, and that she feels guilty that she may have to supplement with formula. She is also said to feel guilt over the fact that she wasn’t able to have a natural birth.

Plus Brad is still smoking, and Angelina may be “fed up” with his nasty habit.

This all sounds like normal stuff that happens with a growing family, and The Enquirer seems to be making more out of it than warranted.

Who knows how bad their fight was? Maybe Brad just wanted to get out of the house and didn’t storm out after all.

He did go out on his bike, though, because there were pictures all over the place. It’s easy enough to draw conclusions based on that.

They were said to be having trouble back in Paris in the loud and dirty neighborhood they rented an apartment in, and Brad was supposedly sleeping on the couch because pregnant Angelina needed the space in bed to herself.

If all of this is true, it seems pretty normal considering all the stress they must be under with the new baby and the move. Even with a lot of help, it’s still a lot of work.

Brad Pitt’s reveals that he’s an adoring father in an upcoming Newsweek interview. He also makes it clear that he and Angelina plan to adopt again:

He sounds a lot like Angelina, and he should credit her with his activism, but at least she was a good influence on him. He would be probably be bitching about the rabbits in his front yard if he was still with Aniston.

Nicole Kidman’s children, Conner and Isabella, have arrived in Australia for their mom’s wedding to Keith Urban. The wedding details are a well-guarded secret, but sources say that it will take place this Sunday, June 25th:

Tom Cruise didn’t travel to Australia with his children, but he supposedly sent Kidman a blurry far-off picture of a baby that is supposed to be Suri as a present for her birthday. The botoxed beauty turned 39 on Sunday, and received the photo from her ex with the handwritten caption “A very nappy birthday to you.”

That doesn’t sound true to us and the source is not that solid. If it is true, it lends some slight credibility to the rumor that Kidman is pregnant with her first biological child. She was seen with a tummy hanging out of her sweatpants during a recent yoga class, and seems to have some sort of a bump in these recent pictures.

Michael Jackson’s ex and the father of two of his children, Debbie Rowe, claims that Paris, 8, and Prince Michael, 9, are not Jackson’s biological spawn and were conceived with the help of an anonymous sperm donor. She is battling Jackson for custody of the children, after relinquishing her legal rights as their mother in a multi-million dollar payoff.

Court papers in the odd couples’ custody battle are said to offer proof that Jackson is not the real father of his two oldest children:

If this true Jackson could definitely lose custody of two of his children, and it’s probably for the best. It’s bound to be quite difficult for them to lose their father and the only life they’ve known. Jackson is completely crazy and doesn’t seem fit to raise pets, not to mention three children, but it will still be awful for them. It’s also sad that they will be separated from their little four year-old brother, Prince Michael II. Prince Michael II was conceived and borne by a different surrogate than his siblings, and his mother has never come forward. He was the baby involved in the famous “baby dangling” incident where Jackson hung the child draped in a blanket over a balcony in Berlin, which he claims was an attempt to let nearby fans get a glimpse of the covered tot.
