Kris Jenner gets bitchy: My girls have multiple shows, how many do you have?

redbook1
Kris Jenner and her three oldest daughters are on the cover of Redbook magazine. In the accompanying interview, Kris makes a bunch of snotty comments trying to refute the criticism about her family: that they don’t work and that they have no talent. She gets indignant about it, forgets the number of hours in a day and then acts like her “girls” are better than the rest of us who either chose not to get bikini waxes and Botox on camera or just haven’t had the opportunity.

Make no mistake: The Kardashians didn’t earn $65 million last year by sitting on their famous derrieres.

PHOTOS: Kim’s best booty moments

“It’s annoying when I hear, ‘What do your girls do?’ Well, first of all, all of my daughters have jobs. They are fashion stylists and designers; they own a chain of stores. They had the stores before they had the show,” matriarch Kris Jenner, 55, tells the May issue of Redbook. “And my kids worked from the time they were 13 years old. So to me, that’s a huge misconception that the girls don’t work. They work 25 hours a day.”

As for criticism that her famous daughters lack any talent? “They might not be singers or dancers, but they certainly know how to produce a television show,” Jenner says. “Whether you want to call it talent or not, they have multiple shows on the air. How many shows do you have?”

Part of their family’s appeal, Khloe notes, is that they aren’t afraid to be themselves.

“We are a real family. We don’t sugarcoat anything. We’re not the Brady Bunch, but we always put each other first,” Khloe Kardashian, 26, says. “We love each other on camera, we cry on camera. I think people relate to the realness of it.”

Kim Kardashian, 30, insists there isn’t much to hide anyway. “There’s nothing I’m really ashamed of, and I work hard on the show and all my other projects,” she tells the mag. “I don’t drink or do drugs, so I’m comfortable showing the world what my life is all about.”

Despite their individual struggles — Khloe’s pressure to have a baby, Kourtney Kardashian’s rocky relationship with Scott Disick, and Kim’s struggle with plastic surgery rumors — Kris insists her family is stronger than ever.

“Our joy in life is that we always have each other,” she says. “So I’ve tried to teach my kids three things: love God, love your family and love yourself.”

For more Kardashian revelations and photos, visit Redbook.

[From US Weekly]

It was surprising to me to read that Kris Jenner tells her kids to love God because I don’t remember hearing that the Kardashians are particularly religious. I googled “Kardashians church” and was reminded of this story about how Kim gives 10% of her salary to a church that Kris founded. So when Kris teaches her kids to revere God she’s also teaching them to give even more of their earnings to her tax shelter.

Now we know what Kris Jenner thinks of any of her family’s fans that dare question them – they’re not rich and famous so they’re not qualified to ask what it is they do exactly. We’re just peons buying the crap that her daughters work “25 hours a day” to stick their name on. Everyone who doesn’t like them is just jealous, right?

Kris Kardashian on Kim’s sex tape: You’ve got to make some lemonade

kardashianinc
Remember when you had to actually do something to be rich and/or famous, like sing, dance, act, be phenomenal at sports, or pick the right combination of two digit numbers? Well the Kardashian family has made an incredibly lucrative business out of exaggerating their personal lives, fertility and minor weight fluctuations. According to a new profile in The Hollywood Reporter, the family made $65 million dollars last year. Let’s say that number was provided by Kris to overestimate her family’s worth. We’ve heard that Kim makes about $35,000 just to show up to an event, but in this new article they estimate her appearance fee at $100,000 to $250,000. On an average week she can do two to three appearances. At 2 appearances per week that’s about $11 million dollars without even accounting for her endorsement deals. Add in all the other family members and whatever they make for their reality shows, merchandising (clothing, jewelry, perfume, etc), interviews and general famewhoring, and that ridiculous $65 million number, more than top celebrities make combined, sounds about right.

They made more money than Jolie, Bullock and Cruise combined
Since their arrival on E! in 2007, thanks to such no-boundaries behavior, the tightknit family has ably defied the laws of 15-minute reality TV fame while building a wildly profitable empire. As the cameras keep rolling on the eight-member clan’s topsy-turvy domestic life, the Kardashians have cashed in, making more money last year than what Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Tom Cruise are estimated to have earned combined: a staggering $65 million (a source close to the family confirms the figure). As manager, Kris Jenner personally takes 10 percent.

And in perhaps the most Platonic exploitation of the celebrity-industrial complex, they didn’t do it by picking up paychecks from a network or studio alone. Deploying sibling after sibling, the household, led by Kris, has crafted a wholly modern business model for making money. It’s one that emphasizes accesibility over harnesses three commercial components: fan interaction via social media (the family has a collective 13 million Twitter followers); best-selling products and brand endorsements; and, of course, that hyper-successful reality franchise (Season 5 of E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians averaged 3.5 million viewers a week).

In a year when men and women in the entertainment industry with business backgrounds couldn’t turn a profit, Kris Jenner could — even if critics ponder what, if any, redeeming value her family brings.

On Kim’s sex tape propelling her family into fame
It was February 2007 when Kris’ second oldest, Kim — then best known as socialite Paris Hilton’s perpetual sidekick — sat her mom down for a confession: She had made a sex tape with her then-boyfriend, musician Ray J. brother of singer Brandy. The kicker? A third party had sold the tape to adult video distributor Vivid Entertainment, and it would be going on sale at the end of the month. The celebrity press soon exploded with every last graphic detail of what the tape contained.

The timing could not have been worse. Inspired by the success of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s family, Kris independently produced a presentation tape of a reality show following her family and had recently begun shopping it to different production companies.

“I thought, ‘Oh well, there goes the reality show,’ ” she say. But you can either be a problem maker or a problem solver. And I’m a problem solver. My job as her mom and manager is to take care of the problem — whatever it is. I had to cry and get upset in the privacy of my own room and then come out and help her, because she’s my daughter. What good is it for me to berate her?”

Claiming to have never seen the tape, Kris hired a crisis communications expert to help navigate the scandal. “I was way out of my league,” she says. “I would never think I knew enough to care for a situation like that. What’s that Kenny Rogers line? ‘You got to know when to hold ’em and know when to fold ’em.’ All I knew was that I had to make some lemonade out of these lemons fast. Real fast.”

The fact that Vivid had to pay Kim a figure that’s been reported at $5 million is almost beside the point. The sex tape — one of Vivid’s best-selling DVDs in 10 years — put the Kardashians on the map.

“My job was trying to take my kids’ 15 minutes and turn it into 30,” Kris recalls. Shortly afterward, her entire family would have to get comfortable in front of the camera.

[From The Hollywood Reporter]

Here’s the thing about Kim’s sex tape. It may have been upsetting to her family at first that it got out, but The Hollywood Reporter completely glosses over the fact that Kris could just have easily hired a lawyer to block it. She didn’t have to hire a “crisis communications expert” after taking the millions Vivid offered. In fact it sounds like Kris is pretty happy it turned out the way it did because she was able to parlay her daughters sex on tape into tens of millions more.

The article in The Hollywood Reporter is pretty fascinating. It would be hard to cover all the points they make about the family and how they’re raking it it, but it’s worth noting that they’re one of the first reality show families to really resonate with the public since The Osbournes. It seems like everyone and their brother has a reality show, but the Kardashians are really unique in that they have no shame and promote the hell out of themselves.

On a final note, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the “lemonade” quote and how it might ironically pertain to certain sex acts rumored to be depicted on Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. I’ve heard that Kim’s tape doesn’t contain anything other than typical sex and that a rumored final shower scene, if it was ever in the tape, was cut before the final release. Kris may have heard those rumors but she supposedly hasn’t watched the video. She should watch it. She owes a lot to Kim’s indiscretion and is responsible for instilling those values in her daughters that would make a sex tape seem like a business opportunity. Her family’s most redeeming quality is their shamelessness.

Youngest Kardashians, Kendall, 15, and Kylie, 13, might get own reality show

wenn3002042

We’ve seen the youngest “Kardashians,” Kendall and Kylie Jenner, on their family’s reality show, on the red carpet and in several modeling shoots promoted by their older sisters. Now it looks like the littlest Kardashians might be getting their own reality show.

ET Online has an interview with Kendall, 15, in which she sounds very mature while talking about her career ambitions and her media strategy. “Be natural, just like for the pictures smile be cute, and for interviews if they ask you a question answer it – most of the time.” She also shares what she’s learned from her older sisters. Kim told her to “feel pretty, own it” for photoshoots while she said that Khloe was like “a second mother” and “took care of me and Kylie a lot when we were little.” Khloe recently explained in that Kardashian Konfidential book that her mother taught her to drive at 14, “so if one of our baby sisters had an emergency I could drive to the hospital.” Learning how to drive at such a young age came in handy when Khloe wanted to sneak out of the house to drive out to meet her boyfriend – and lose her virginity at 14.

Anyway apparently Kardashian momager Kris didn’t learn from her mistakes with Khloe and her older daughters. Kris says that Kendall, 15, and Kyle, 13, can theoretically get their own reality show – if they keep their grades up. I can see her rubbing her hands together and cackling now.

Kendall, 15, admitted that she wants to model and she doesn’t have to look far to find expert advice on handling stardom. The second youngest Kardashian revealed some of the coaching tips she’s already gotten from her sisters….

Kris and Bruce Jenner fully support their daughter Kendall’s career choice, but they aren’t the only ones she has to answer to. The teenager exposed Khloe Kardashian as one of the most protective members of the family.

“[Khloe's] just the more motherly figure of all [my sisters],” said Kendall. “She raised me and Kylie practically… She’s like my second mom.”

The youngest member of the Kardashian clan, Kylie, 13, hasn’t ruled out pursuing a professional career in the spotlight, but as for now she is focused on doing well in school, which her mother is glad to hear.

Could Kendall and Kylie star in their own reality show? Their mother Kris hasn’t rejected the notion just as long as they follow a few rules.

“Well, they have to get good grades,” said Kris. “They have to show me that they can handle their own show and then we have to talk Ryan [Seacrest] into it.

[From ETOnline]

At least Kendall said “when I go to college” at first, although she still sounds uncertain about it. It’s not like she’s being encouraged to pursue an education, but it sounds like her dad is giving it some lip service. I’m not sure if Kim or Khloe went to kollege, but Kourteney has an undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. Wikipedia has her major as theater with a minor in Spanish. It’s not surprising to hear that Kris is pushing a reality show for these two. They’ll go into the family business and sell us their personal lives, weight loss tips and countless cheap Kardashian branded products soon enough. And Kris will have fulfilled her ambitions as a mother.

In Touch: Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick are getting married for the cash

wenn3070851
In an all too predictable move, Kourtney Kardashian’s sociopathic baby dad, Scott Disick, reportedly proposed to her in early November. He didn’t do it for love or commitment reasons, according to In Touch, but conceded to an ultimatum by Kourtney to marry him or get kicked off the family’s reality show. Kourtney’s pimp mom Kris is of course on board because she knows how much money they can make off the wedding rights. This sounds like a disaster:

Scott Disick [proposed to Kourtney] in early November – but the act was as devoid of romance as the couple’s relationship. According to sources close to the family, the “engagement” is nothing more than a calculated business decision intended to drive up ratings for their new show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and feather the Kardashian nest…

Explains a family friend, “It’s more of a business opportunity than true love. Scott and Kourtney are going to make a fortune off their wedding – E! has already offered more than $500,000 for the wedding rights, and that is only one of the many deals. It’s all about the endorsements, and their business machine is already in overdrive.

It may seem shocking that Kourtney, 31 – mother to Scoot’s 11-month-old son, Mason – would want to make a lifelong commitment to the man who has let her down, time and time again. But apart from the cash, she has her reasons, says the insider. “Kourtney is very tradition. She did not want Mason to have unmarried parents. So she approached Scott and basically said, ‘Either we get married or you are out of the family and off the show.’”…

“Kris Jenner sees this as a huge opportunity to cash in, and is already shopping around deals.”

[From In Touch, print edition, December 6, 2010]

Kourtney is said to be opposed to the wedding because she “thinks Scott is a loser.” There’s no word on what Kim thinks, although this week’s Enquirer reports that Scott hit on Kim! The creep allegedly thinks that by hooking up with Kim he’ll be better off. Luckily Kim wants nothing to do with him.

When Kim and Scoot were at a bar together recently, the insider says Scott pulled her aside and whispered: “You and I would be so good together…”

“[Kim] was disgusted by Scott hitting on her…”

“I think he’s bored with Kourtney and decided that he’d be better off hitching himself to Kim, who is the family’s biggest star.

“Never in a million years would Kim consider dating Scott. But that hasn’t stopped him from trying.”

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, December 6, 2010]

The few times I’ve watched this show, Scott has never been there for Kourtney and has disappointed her time and again. Instead of realizing that she’s better off without the guy, she’s supposedly marrying him for the money! You get what you ask for, and this girl will never learn. I hope this story isn’t true, or at least that Kourtney gets a good prenup. You know why Scott has stayed with her this long, and we know his motivations for marrying her. Money rules in this family and dictates their personal lives. They know how Scott is, and he’s one of their own.

Kris Kardashian says her daughter Kim and Gabriel Aubry are ‘just friends’

Yesterday we saw photos of unlikely couple Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry taking in a Lakers game and looking like they were on a date. There was a lot of speculation that those two had possibly just run into each other at the game, or had somehow scored tickets next to each other. Photo agencies had pictures of them arriving together, (but walking a few paces apart) and Life & Style went on to claim that it wasn’t the first date for cat-face and the impossibly beautiful Canadian male model, and that Aubry had even met Kim’s mom and sisters! Say it isn’t so!

Last night mama bear Kris Kardashian was on the George Lopez show, and answered questions about Kim’s high profile date with Gabriel. She seemed to indicate that she had met the guy, and said that Gabriel was “just friends” with her daughter Kim. That’s not good news. I was hoping for “just ran into each other.”*

She said “Gabriel Aubry, he’s so nice he’s a friend of Kim’s… just friends!”

Lopez said “he’s a beautiful guy.”

Kris agreed “Isn’t he hot? They’re not dating, they’re just friends.”

Let’s hope that Gabriel was hoping to make his ex, Halle Berry, jealous in light of her high profile romance with Olivier Martinez. We’ve heard that he doesn’t approve, and this could have been a misguided attempt to turn the tables.

*Note that Kris said “You never know who you’re going to find at a Laker Game,” she didn’t say “You never know who you’re going to run into at a Laker gameas E! reported. She also didn’t seem to understand who Lopez was asking about until after she said that. So it doesn’t sound like Kim and Gabriel just ran into each other there.

Here’s Kim promoting those Skechers ShapeUp shoes which are not really recommended for most people and generally considered a waste of money. She’s also shown at some jewelry event yesterday and with Gabriel outside the Lakers game on Sunday. I hope this is the last we hear about those two.

Youngest Kardashian sister, Kylie Jenner, 12, makes modeling debut

kylie
A couple of weeks ago, we saw some controversial bikini photos of Kenner Jenner, 14, the second youngest in stagemom Kris Kardashian’s klassy klan. Kendall is Kris’ daughter with second husband, former Olympian Bruce Jenner. Kris and Bruce also have daughter Kylie, 12, and Kris of course has three older daughters and a son from her marriage to attorney Robert Kardashian who passed away in 2003.

Now the youngest daughter in the Kardashian-Jenner family is joining her family in their pursuit of infamy and cash. Kylie, who you might remember as the pole dancing then-9 year-old on the premiere of her family’s reality show, is also pursuing a modeling career. Kylie is modeling for Sears, and her attire is much more appropriate and less revealing than we’ve seen from any of her older sisters. She looks cute, actually. Her older sister Khloe posted a photo and some praise on her blog:

I just posted Kylie’s Crush Your Style ad the other day, now here is her modeling debut!!!! How fab does she look?? My little baby sisters are all grown up! This has been such an amazing few weeks for both Kendall and Kylie and I’m beyond proud of both of them! They are such good girls! They are such hard workers and so professional! I couldn’t be happier with them :) I’m a proud mama!

[From Khloe Kardsahian's blog via Huffington Post]

Kim was the one telling us about Kendall’s bikini photo shoot, so I guess it’s Khloe’s turn to pimp out Kylie. She also posted a link to her ad for sears, which you can view on crushyourstyle.com (site has automatic music). Kylie is really cute and comes across as a natural on camera, but again she’s only 12. She’s wearing makeup and looking like a much older teen. It just seems like the Jenner girls should be given a little more time to be kids. Kids don’t make money just going to school and hanging out with their friends, though.

Kim Kardashian admits Botox use, denies nose job

kimbeforeafter
For some strange reason, the Kardashian/Jenner women made an appearance on ABC’s Nightline last night. Well, I mean Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Kris Jenner, not the youngest Jenner girls. The whole thing was not really to promote anything as far as I can tell, they just seemed to want to correct the record on certain tabloid reports. Like, say, plastic surgery, a subject that I’ve been covering despite my ambivalence towards their plastic, waxy faces. I suppose the biggest headline out of this interview is that Kim once again denies having plastic surgery, but does admit to trying Botox. You decide… here’s In Touch Weekly’s before and after cover (from last month) of Kim’s face:

intouch11

Yeah, she had a nose job. Nothing huge, but it’s smaller and the tip is different. Here’s more from the interview:

Kim Kardashian has never had work done on her nose, Khloe Kardashian’s wedding was not paid for by E! and, no, the Kardashian clan does not intend to pull the plug on the reality TV show based on their lives. Those are just a few of the myths the family is out to dispel.

“We do the show ’cause we’re happy and it’s fun for us,” said Khloe Kardashian. “So until it starts becoming a pain or something that we don’t want to do…”

“Season 52,” joked mom, Kris Kardashian, referring to her youngest daughter: “Kylie gets married.”

In an exclusive interview, the women at the core of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” — Kris, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe — sat down with “Nightline” co-anchor Cynthia McFadden for a conversation that ranged from their business empire to who has had plastic surgery and who takes the longest to get ready to Kourtney’s baby and Kim’s Playboy appearance.

“We have a really good time doing what we’re doing,” said Kim. “We love every project that we’re into. We’re just having a good time.”

Kourtney Kardashian, who gave birth to her first child, Mason, a son, in December 2009, said her breast implants were no secret.

“I have had breast implants, but it’s so funny ’cause it’s not a secret, I could care less,” said Kourtney. “It’s so funny because the ‘before’ picture that they [In Touch magazine] showed was after I had my boob job, so I’m like, they should have written ‘before Mason’ and ‘after Mason.’ Like my boobs have like tripled since breastfeeding.”

“Oh, right,” said Kris, with a wry smile.

Kim denied rumors that she had plastic surgery on her breasts or nose.

“Trust me honey,” she joked to McFadden, “if I take this bra off you will tell me I need to get them done. I’m totally not against plastic surgery. … I’ve tried Botox before. That’s the only thing that I’ve done.”

McFadden asked Kim about her nose.

“I’ve never had my nose done,” said Kim.

“None of us have had our nose done,” said Kris.

“But what’s funny,” said Kim, “is about my nose, it’s my biggest insecurity. I always want to get my nose done. … I went to a doctor, I had them take the pictures, he showed me what it would look like and it just didn’t– It– I wouldn’t look the same.”

McFadden asked Khloe about reports that her wedding to NBA star Lamar Odom, which appeared at the start of the reality show’s fourth season, had cost $1 million — and that E!, the entertainment network, paid for it.

Are the rumors true? “We wish,” said Kourtney.

“E! produced the wedding and filmed the wedding,” said Kris, “and they paid for the things that were set up to produce the wedding, but no–”

“They had to pay for movie lighting,” said Khloe. “Whatever their expenses were, that has nothing to do with me. … So whatever they needed for filming purposes, that’s what they had to pay for.”

McFadden asked about another rumor, that the wedding was more about TV ratings than a love connection.

“Well, I’m still married,” said Khloe. “I don’t need ratings like that.”

“I don’t think anyone can fall in love for ratings,” said Kourtney.

“We grew up in this life of privilege, but we were always taught when we’re 18, we’re gonna be cut off. We’d better figure it out, and we’d better get a job,” Kim said. “My father taught us really well, and I think really instilled a good work ethic in us. We didn’t have the credit cards. We didn’t have the cell phones. We didn’t have that, like all of our friends did, growing up.”

When asked what their dad would think of their lifestyle and success, Kim said, “I just know he would be so proud of us. He would see that the whole entrepreneur side that he instilled in me. He would be so happy.”

McFadden asked Kris about reports that she had encouraged daughter Kim to pose for Playboy.

“I thought it was a good idea,” said Kris. “I thought that so many iconic women have done Playboy. And I thought, you know for Marilyn Monroe.”

“You were pushing her,” said McFadden. “Let’s be honest.”

“She wanted to do it, too,” said Kris. “I mean, I didn’t force her to go do Playboy.”

“That opportunity came about to do Playboy,” said Kim, “I was on the fence about it. Do I want to be viewed this way or do I want to show women that, hey, I am curvy. I’m not like all these like stick-skinny models that I see on the cover of all of these magazines, including Playboy. And I thought that it would be empowering. And so, I did it. And at the end, I was uncomfortable. And at the end, I had a great time. I really love my relationship with Hef. I love meeting all these people. And I got a completely different fan base.”

McFadden noted reports that Kim regretted appearing in Playboy.

“When I said that comment, I had said…’I'm sorry that I did Playboy then, when I was in the shape that I was in,’” said Kim. “Not the shape that I’m in now. Because I had lost 15 pounds. … So it kind of got misconstrued a little bit.”

[From ABC News]

Khloe is still kind of my favorite. I realized that several months ago – that Khloe was the one I rooted for. Her older sisters treat her like crap, and yes, Khloe is loud and kind of obnoxious. But she’s the funniest! Oh, but I think she and Kris are playing fast and loose with the cost of the wedding and who paid for what. True, E! might not have paid for everything, but I’m sure E! plus several tabloids – many of whom were running “exclusives” about Khloe and Lamar – paid big. Oh, and does anyone else think Khloe might already be pregnant? I think that’s why she’s been so low-key lately. She’s waiting to announce it and make a big splash.

The Kardashian sisters overshare about their first periods

wenn5460277
The Kardashian sisters – is there anything they won’t share in order to promote themselves or some product they’re hawking? We’ve heard the blow-by-blow details of Kourteney’s pregnancy, and learned all about Khloe’s sex life. As each of them has gained and lost weight, we’ve been subjected to the minutia of that, too. Kim is on the cover of In Touch this week bragging about a whole five pounds she lost. Well now the Kardashians are talking about their first periods. They’re not oversharing to get publicity as usual, they’re doing it as part of their job promoting a new Kotex line which hopes to brand itself as the go-to period product for materialistic, fame-seeking women who openly talk about their Aunt Flo.

To be fair to these way overexposed women, though, it’s a decent ad campaign by Kotex and one that may help girls feel less embarrassed about something we all go through. Who better to use as spokespeople for giving personal information than the Kardashians? I really hate saying that, and I hate helping promote anything for the Kardashians. I watched the video and my opinion of the ads softened a little before I got annoyed by the blatant marketing ploys that would never faze mom Kris. I still can’t stand these people and it’s not going to get me to buy Kotex. They should have named the line “Kardashian Kotex” with tampons named Kim, pads named Kourteney and those diaper-type night pads – Khloe. Speaking of Khloe – who we know is still getting her period because we’d hear about it in about a minute if she ever got pregnant – she has a post on her blog enthusing about the ads:

We all know that I’m not one that’s afraid to speak my mind, nor do I get embarrassed very easily, so I have no problem screaming at the top of my lungs about periods and vaginas. Getting your period is natural, so as a woman, why should I have to keep my mouth shut about it? But not all girls are as comfortable discussing these sorts of topics as freely as I am, and that’s the issue that I want to address here.

I grew up in a house with almost all girls so talking about these things happened pretty much every single day. Haha and Rob being the only male had to put up with it. Kim and I were both with Rob when we first got our periods…it probably scarred him for life! He can pretty much handle anything now — he’s totally going to be that husband buying tampons for his wife LOL.

It shouldn’t take a primarily female environment to make girls feel at ease talking about their period! Personally, I like talking about these things LOL, which was why I so excited to participate with Kim and my mom in a series of videos called “Getting Real” with U by Kotex. We answered girls’ questions about their periods, and shared some fun personal experiences of our own.

[From Khloe Kardashian's Blog]

Ok, I’ll quit letting my intense dislike of the Kardashian Klan infect my opinion of their Kotex Kommercials. You can watch all the ads on Celebuzz. No one contacted or encouraged us to promote this product or we would have kissed ass instead of being snotty about it.

Here’s Khloe promoting Kotex U products by posing in a bright red skintight dress and construction hat while breaking down a faux wall with graffiti that reads “Vajayjay,” “HooHa,” and “Aunt Flow.” Yes, this is all about empowering young girls.

Is douche Scott Disick disrespecting Kris Kardashian?
Serious-faced Scott Disick runs errands with Kourtney Kardashian with their newbown in Beverly Hills

After spending two weeks in a row on the cover of In Touch Weekly, Scott Disick is taking time out of his busy douche schedule to defend himself against allegations that he’s “betraying” girlfriend and baby-mama Kourtney Kardashian and that he’s the “boyfriend from hell”. It was just yesterday that In Touch released their latest cover story, all about how Scott treats Kourtney like crap, and he calls her fat, and he’s cheating on her and stuff. So Scott called into Ryan Seacrest’s show (Ryan produces the crapfest Kardashian shows) to deny all of In Touch’s reporting, except for the part where Scott confirms that Kris Kardashian pretty much hates his guts:

It’s been a rough couple of months for Kourtney Kardashian’s boyfriend and baby-daddy Scott Disick, who’s been the aim of much scrutiny for his behavior both on and off Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Scott called Ryan’s radio show Thursday to tell his side of the story, following a scathing In Touch Weekly cover story with the headline “Boyfriend From Hell.”

On being a new father:
“It’s unbelievable. It’s definitely more than I ever could have imagined it would be. The first week or two it’s definitely life changing and like people always tell you, it gets better per day. Everyday is a new adventure with him.”

On Kris Jenner lashing out at him on the show:
“When I hear Kris’ voice, I hear anger at all times.”

On getting back on Kris Jenner’s good side:
“I figure we can bridge the gap if I start training really hard right now in either football or basketball, but I don’t know how long it would take to be in the NBA or the NFL.”

On a grudge with Lamar Odom and Reggie Bush:
“I care for both of the athletes that are in the family. Kris just thinks that if you’re an athlete you tend to be a better person, when that’s not always the case.”

On mending his relationship with Kris Jenner:
“Honestly, deep down, I think we both love each other a little bit, and I think that will come to the surface in due time. We already are getting along better these days. And now that Mason’s here and she’s a grandmother and she realizes she’s not a 20 year-old kid, I think her attitude has changed for the better, and I’m appreciative of it.”

I think that being on Kris’s sh-tlist isn’t the worst thing in the world, but in this particular situation, I’m Team Kris. I think the whole Kardashian-Jenner family (excepting Kourtney) has had the right idea about Scott from the beginning – basically, that the man is a tool box. But my favorite part is that Scott was being deliciously condescending about Kris when he said that bit about “she’s a grandmother and she realizes she’s not a 20 year-old kid.” Sure, I’m Team Kris for now, but that statement is so right on the money, it hurts. This is Kris’s biggest problem – she thinks she’s the same age as her 20-something daughters. But something tells me it’s just going to piss Kris off even more.

Kourtney Kardashian is expecting a boy, might name him Mason

At long last, Kourtney Kardashian has revealed the sex of her unborn baby. It’s a boy! Well… congratulations! I was sort of hoping for a girl, just to see what Kourtney would name a girl (Krazy Kardashian-Disick? Krispee Kardashian-Disick? Or Kiss Kardashian-Disick?). Anyhoodle, after paying some lip service to “not announcing the sex”, Kourtney gave in to her inner famewhore and decided to share the joyous news to E! News, after Kourtney’s family had already gone on the “Kourtney’s not telling” tour:

Kourtney Kardashian: You’ve got male.

The mom-to-be confirms that she’s expecting a baby boy with Scott Disick.

“A boy is definitely needed in this family!” Kourt exclusively tells E! News. “Scott and I are thrilled to add a little boy to the bunch. Bruce and Rob told me it would be a boy the whole time!”

At the Famous Cupcakes party on Wednesday, grandma-to-be Kris Jenner pretty much spilled the beans despite Kourt’s claim that she didn’t know the sex…

When a reporter asked if the baby was kicking, Kris replied, “A lot…he was today!” before correcting herself with: “She was today. It was today.”

“We say he and she but no one knows,” Kourt quickly added.

Well, we do now! Congrats to the couple for evening out the female-dominated Kardashian clan.

Kris pisses me off so much. I mean, I get that she manages her daughters and that’s why she’s so involved in their lives and why she’s always talking about them and stuff, but she still pisses me off. There’s a difference between being a mother who has a great relationship with your adult daughters, and being envious of your daughters to the point where you act more immature then them.

Anyway, 13-year-old Kendell Kardashian (who is talking to the press now too) told Fox News that Kourtney liked “For a boy, [the name] Mason. She had such exotic names for girls.” Mason Kardashian-Disick… not so bad. It’s a mouth-full, but maybe they won’t hyphenate the last name. Mason Disick. Eh. I associate “Mason” as a very Southern name, and now I’m not so sure. But hey, at least it’s not a “K” name.
